There was really only one way that this could end.

I had been reborn as a legend, so it would only be appropriate I died as said legend.

My life as Cu Chulainn had ended the same as the original, but the route had been different. Liked to think I had made less mistakes, and still hadn't killed Teacher, I could not end the life of that woman, but I hoped I had managed to change her perspective on things when it came to that immortal life of hers.

The sex had been awesome, at least, and that threesome with Aife and Uathach had been amazing…

Hadn't killed Connla, thankfully, the kid was gonna have an amazing life in this timeline; as for me? Well as, I tied myself to a rock using my own guts as to keep standing and fighting as my geass ordered me to. I could only think I was gonna join the great Cu Chulainn collective in the Throne of Heroes.

I could feel my vision start to go dark even as I heard Medb shouting for someone to finally kill me. Even as she looked at me with sad eyes… woman really did love me.

Well, it had been a great… run…

And with that, this Hound of Chulainn perished.

"I will not let you die; you shall live in a world where we can be together, my Setanta."

And with that, I opened my eyes…

"What?" I said in confusion, as instead of being surrounded by Connacht's army; instead I was in the middle of the woods. "What?" I asked again out loud an… why did I sound higher pitch? And why wasn't I currently dying?

I looked down at my body and got answers for both of my questions, as I was entirely naked, so I could see that my guts were inside and that my body was a lot shorter than it should be.

"Did I turn into a kid?" I asked in disbelief. "Though this seems to have stayed the same," I added as I cupped my blue-furred balls that barely fit in my hands, the pair hanging below my blue sheath that contained the canine penis that I had.

The result of Cernunnos blessing me as the forest deity had decided if I was a hound, I should fit the role somewhat; it had also changed my Warp Spasm, my current equipment being a permanent mark of that.

It was not as bad as it used to be, but it was still very much a last resort, so much so it was not even supposed to be used to prevent my own death.

It was very much an 'in the defense of others' kind of power-up.

And it made me wonder if my reason for being here was also due to the Wild God's desires, as I had gone and saved that priestess of his from some Fae who was gonna eat her.

So maybe he had repaid the favor, and the cost was my age?

But even with me getting a third chance for life, I was gonna do like I had done before and fight for what I believed in, living life on the terms it allowed me to do, but first…

Some clothes.

And a weapon, as I sadly lacked my trusted spear.

But thankfully Runes could solve a lot of my current issues.

Thank you, Teacher, for teaching me it, and thank you, Odin, for making the most bullshit form of magic in existence. First, though, I was gonna need some animal hides and other things, but since this was a forest from the looks of it, finding what I needed should be rather easy.

"Watch out, Forest, here comes Cu Chulainn!"

"Why… did… decide… to… go… out?" Kaya asked herself as she tried to regain her breath. She had been walking through the forest. As for why Kaya was out and about? Well, she had heard her guards talking about a child living out in the woods, a wild beast of a boy clad in the hides of animals, who viciously defended his territory and had been doing so for weeks, and that was simply unacceptable in her opinion.

As after losing her parents, Kaya had realized that not everyone on the Gecko Islands(Which relied mostly on the business that her family ran) were not as fortunate as her and that children living on their own should not be a thing.

So she had founded an orphanage to try and deal with the children who had lost their parents, but nobody seemed to care about the wild forest child except her despite what she paid people to do as the northern woods were apparently too dangerous, so Kaya had snuck out and despite being out of breath she had yet to run into any issues.

"Clearly over-exaggerated to prevent children from getting lost," But the doctor in training was more educated than most and so knew how to navigate the woods. "But I still wish Usopp was here to help," Kaya murmured as the friend who used to make her laugh and smile with his tall tales, had been collected by his father two years ago to become a Cabin Boy on his Captain's pirate ship.

Proving to the village that the lie had been nothing but the truth.

Kaya was happy for him, but she missed his presence.

But enough about the past, she had to focus on the presence and find the 'Wild Forest Child' and bring him to her home.

For the moment.

It wasn't that she was lonely despite Merry and Kalandor's presence in the mansion, and wanted to have a little brother/friend.

No sir.

That was not the case.

"Now, how to find him?" The sickly woman said to herself as she looked through… well, the forest of trees before her, the sun, the eternal guide shining above her.

Well, there is no reason not to try that. Kaya thought to herself as an idea popped into her head.

"Hello!" She began shouting as loudly as she could. "Is there a young child living out here in the woods? I am here to help you! There is gonna be warm food and clothes! If you can understand me or hear me, please come this way!" Kaya continued to shout, hoping the child would hear her.

But she, of course, had to take breaks, or else she would make her throat sore and broke her ill body more than she already had.

"Please…" Kaya said as she just wanted to help someone on her own merit, with her own hands, and not just via throwing money at the problem(Which didn't help in this situation); she just wanted to prove to herself more than anything, that she was more than just a sick woman with a lot of money.

Crack.

She heard it.

The sound of cracking branches, and with a wide smile on her face, she turned to face the forest child, her face turned from face to fear as out of a canopy came not a child trying to survive on his own in the wild, but the furred and muzzled face of a massive brown bear.

And in that instant, all knowledge left Kaya's mind as true; genuine fear took over it, and the untrained human body picked between two primal instincts to execute.

Fight.

Or flight.

Kaya's body and mind choose the latter.

As she had, in this moment of fear, forgotten what you were supposed to do when faced with a brown bear.

Play dead.

But she ran.

And the bear chased.

And sadly for the out-of-shape and sickly woman, it was not a very long chase as she felt the massive body of the brown bear slamming into her own, sending her straight into the ground and tumbling straight into a tree; the girl felt the bones in her arm break like twigs under the boulder of muscle that had collided with her frail body.

And so Kaya could only look upon the maw of her end with fear and tears in her eyes, as she quickly apologized to everyone she knew for being a foolish girl and not heading the warnings told to her.

But even so.

She.

Kaya did not want to…

"I don't wanna die! I wanna see the world!" She cried even as the massive paw of the brown bear moved towards her and…

Sqeualsh.

Blood splattered against the ground.

Thud.

A body fell.

But it was not Kaya's blood that was spilled; it was not Kaya's body that fell to the ground.

It was the bear.

The brown bear, whose neck had been pierced by green colored weapon, blood pooling from the ground.

"Wooo, that was a little bit close there, wasn't it?" Kaya heard a voice ask. "But I gotta ask what you were thinking shouting like that? Especially in a forest like this?"

"I am sorry, I heard about you from the guards, and I wanted to come out and find you because children shouldn't be living out in the woods alone," Kaya said as she cleared her blurry eyes so she could get a look at the boy…

Kaya felt her heart skip a beat as she stared at the most beautiful, handsome, dreamy, almost divine child she had ever seen standing before her. Eyes red like rubies, and hair blue like a sapphire.

Kaya could feel her heart getting even faster as she continued to just stare, her cheeks getting warm, and she could even feel a warmth in her stomach as her-

Kaya shook her head, bringing herself back to reality as the pain of her broken arm made itself known, as the boy started to set it into place with known and used skill.

"Ahh!" She screamed in pain.

"Gonna have bear with the pain, or else it is going to heal wrong when I do this," The most handsome boy she had ever seen spoke as he then started to draw across her arm, and she saw actual symbols appear, the unknown letters glowing green as they hovered in the air.

"Not the best with healing other, but a broken arm, I can get most of the way there," The Forest Child spoke and then started to speak a language she did not understand at all as the unknown letters flashed their colors and then once again Kaya felt pain, but that quickly started to fade, though not all the way as her right arm still throbbed.

"What… what did you do and who are you?" Kaya asked in shock as she found herself able to move her previously destroyed arm.

"Don't move it to much, still fractured, but as for what that was? That was Rune Magic."

"Magic?"

"Yep, and for who I am? You can call me Cu Chulainn or just Cu for short," The now-named Cu introduced himself. "And who is a pretty but kinda stupid lady that started shouting in the woods filled with wild and dangerous animals?"

"K-Kaya, and I am not stupid; I am training to become a Doctor," She retorted as she

"Really? Could have fooled me with all that shouting," Cu stated.

"As said, I was trying to find and help you," Kaya explained once again. "Children shouldn't be alone."

"Aww, you heard rumors of little old me, and your first thought was to help?" Cu asked, and Kaya nodded her head even as she still tried to unsuccessfully prevent a certain part of her body from giving its opinion on Cu's body. "I appreciate the thought, but I am doing quite well for myself out here."

"...Not even if I promised a soft bed and a warm bath?" Kaya asked as she now more than ever wanted Cu to come back with her so that she could-

"...You drive a hard bargain, Kaya; sure, I'll let you help me out."

"Great!" Kaya shouted and was immediately responded in kind by the roar of another animal.

"What did I just say?"

"Sorry."

"Welp, let's get out here before you bring all the big predators down on our head," Cu said as he went and picked her up in a bridal carry, making Kaya 'eep' as he did. "Well, Kaya lead the way; how do we get to your place?"

"Th-the that way," She said as she pointed in the right direction after locating the sun.

"When let's go!" And with that, Cu ran faster than anyone she had ever seen anyone do before to her home.

And as she was carried in Cu's arms, Kaya had never felt safer in her life; the emotions of desire that had been quickly growing in her soul and mind the second she had laid eyes on Cu were now in a frenzy as her mind was filled with, dirty, dirty thoughts she now really, really wanted to make real.
