Now, we return to the universe of MHA, and see jut how twisted things have become...

I present to you: Reign!

It has been two years since Spider-Man and his closest allies disappeared through the portal into who knows where...

And things have only been getting worse for everyone.

In the immediate aftermath of the battle at S.I.L.K.'s R&D centre, many of the heroes that had participated in the battle attempted to flee, but were swiftly cut down by the horrific monster that All Might has become, that being Knull, and left either to die or to be consumed by the Anti-Venom clones and turned into more of Cindy Moon's thralls.

With All Might turned into a monster and in the hands of Cindy Moon, hero society finally lost all hope.

After everything that has happened in the last year, all the death and destruction, the major events that have shaped and reshaped the world around them, the general public has been on the brink of giving up. The constant destructive battles between heroes and villains, the mass amounts of devastation caused by the seemingly endless fighting, the loss of trust in the government, the exposure of mass amounts of corruption in the heroes, and the ever-increasing death toll from events such as both Wars of the Symbiotes, Kraven's Last Hunt, and now the destruction of an entire city and the death of countless pro heroes...

So many people had been staking their hope on All Might, the paragon of virtue, truth, and justice... the Symbol of Peace...

And now he was gone.

There was no one left to keep them safe.

Hero society fell into despair and disrepair. Anarchy consumed Japan and began to spread out to the rest of the world, and S.I.L.K. took advantage of the chaos. Worming her way through the panicking ranks of what was left of the Japanese Diet, Cindy Moon declared that the current government could no longer competently care for the people under their protection and dissolved the state, reforming it around her and S.I.L.K. and instituting martial law across the entire country.

During all of this, what remained of the Spider-Gang, now including Melissa, would be amongst the few who managed to successfully escape from Knull and Cindy Moon's goons after the fight at the R&D centre and would do their best to try and stem the tides of chaos, but would find themselves quickly being overwhelmed. And now, with waves of heroes beginning to desert in the wake of All Might's unwilling transformation into Knull, the Spider-Gang find themselves unable to stem the tide at a time when all their leadership has been lost to them.

Now, two years have gone by and the entire world has sunk into a hellscape, with each day being reduced to a nightmarish fight for survival. Hordes of Anti-Venom zombies patrol what's left of the streets, and Silk stands at the centre of a monstrous empire. Any heroes who are now still in active service in Japan all bend the knee to the new world order, only to themselves be consumed. The rest have gone into hiding, and everyone else who hasn't been turned into another mindless puppet is simply trying to keep their families alive amidst the uncertainty of the world.

The Spider-Gang, meanwhile, have become the resistance and fled underground. Nowadays, they've fallen under the tentative leadership of Koichi and have been helping people flee from S.I.L.K. and Anti-Venom rule through an underground railroad.

Cindy Moon, meanwhile, has had to contend with three separate incursions into Japan by the WHA and armies of pro heroes from overseas, all of which have been turned away at great cost to the heroes themselves, with many more dying or being turned into Anti-Venom zombies as well.

Now, after two years of work, Silk's influence is spreading across the world, breaching through the barriers and blockades around Japan and spreading out into the rest of the world, with her thralls bringing more into her fold every single day. The Anti-Venom corruption is spreading, and there seems to be nothing that anyone can do to stop them

The entire world is being pulled into S.I.L.K.'s web. Almost all life on the planet has been consumed by the Anti-Venom hordes.

Unbeknownst to anyone, S.I.L.K. has been suffering from setbacks as well. Cindy hasn't been able to recover from the loss of Doctor Octopus' keen intellect, and she's been trying to catch up with it ever since. With the loss of Doctor Octopus, her remaining scientists, now led by Carolyn Trainer, have been slow to repair the damage done to the laboratories and continue their experiments, which mean that they've also been slow to perfect the process of the Anti-Venom symbiotes destroying the quirks and powers of those that were infected by it. They are finally beginning to catch up and finish off consuming the entire planet, but it has been a slow process regardless.

And worse yet, they still haven't been able to find Aizawa - Mr. Negative - and the Mind Stone. Since his plot to march on the S.I.L.K. R&D centre failed and he lost control of his brainwashed army, Aizawa has gone into hiding as he grows more and more mentally unstable with each passing day. Now, rumours amongst the few remaining survivors and resistance fighters against S.I.L.K. have begun to spread of an army growing beneath the surface of Japan. An army of brainwashed slaves to a tyrant who has long since lost his mind and is determined to force his twisted sense of logic onto the rest of the world.

Cindy is, of course, frustrated by this, but can't do much else about it. She already knew that her plans would be set back a year or two by giving the treasonous Doctor Octopus the boot, and she also knew that Aizawa would be difficult to find, so as much as she would like to, she doesn't really have a right to complain. All she can do now is keep calm and carry on with her machinations as it stands.

But, as the days continue to roll by, she is informed that the stockpile of Anti-Venom zombies that they've been keeping in reserve have finally been built up and ready to be deployed, and that the Nomu's reprogramming, helped along by Knull and the Anti-Venom clones, has been completed. The first wave of her army have already been sent out and are currently in the process of conquering their universe's equivalent of the Skrull and Kree galactic empires.

Cindy smiles, and begins to open up portals into alternate universes.

The time to build her kingdom for her beloved spiders has finally come.

Apologies if this arc feels rather half-baked. I'm feeling a bit tired and muggy, so I'm not exactly at my best right now.

Edit (9/1/2025): I've made some changes to this arc, as it really doesn't make sense for Cindy to not release the Anti-Venom zombie virus into the world as soon as she could.
