Persona 5: From Metaverse to Multiverse

When a new enemy reopens the Metaverse and threatens to destroy all worlds, it'll take more than just one group of Phantom Thieves to pacify this new threat. Note: It's best if you read 'Persona 5: Slice of Life' and 'The Lonely Thief first'. (Sixth entry in the WildCard Fanfiction Multiverse)

11. Thieves in the Big City

Episode 11: Thieves in the Big City

(Woodlands of Denial - Falldown Toshiro's City - City Hall)

In the heart of one of the largest fortresses in the New Metaverse; a metropolis populated entirely by Shadows, we see Falldown Toshiro entering the city hall. He walks up the steps and into the building. Once inside, Falldown Toshiro goes into an elevator that takes him directly to his office. Falldown Toshiro enters the office where he sees a Shadow Butler waiting for him with a cup of hot tea.

Shadow Butler: Welcome back, Patriot. Your tea, hot and ready as requested.

Falldown Toshiro/Patriot: Thank you. (Grabs the tea from the butler and sips it) Ah, chamomile, the one thing that can always calm my nerves in times of hardship. (He sits down at his desk) Those Phantom Thieves may have thought they've gotten the better of me back at the country club, but I have no doubts that they'll lose here in my city! (He continues to sip his tea)

Shadow Butler: Master Patriot, Fox is trying to contact you on the computer.

Falldown Toshiro calmly picks up a remote control on his desk and clicks a button. When he does, a book shelf on the wall across from his desk lowers into the floor to reveal a large monitor. By clicking another button on the remote, the face of Falldown Yusuke appears on the monitor.

Falldown Toshiro/Patriot: Salutations, Fox.

Falldown Yusuke/Fox: Hello, Patriot. I assume you know why I'm calling?

Falldown Toshiro/Patriot: Does it have anything to do with the group of Phantom Thieves that you were responsible for killing?

Falldown Yusuke/Fox: Affirmative! Project Bravo proved to be an absolute failure, and two of those fuckheads turned into Phantom Thieves in the process! And of course it had to be the two fudgepackers of the group.

Falldown Toshiro/Patriot: Yes, things aren't going well on my end either. I thought by acquiring the assistance of the cognitive version of the drunkard's father, I could gain the upper hand. But the drunkard herself became a Phantom Thief at the worst possible time and defeated him!

Falldown Yusuke/Fox: Master Hoshigami is going to hang us out to dry if word gets out about our failures, which is why I retreated to my citadel to form a new plan; I'm going to force one of those maggots who have yet to become a Phantom Thief to awaken to their Persona. They only seem to awaken when their user is put in a stressful situation. So, I'm going to have my victim awaken to their Persona, so I can gain control over them when they least expect it, and they can kill the Phantom Thieves for me! Ha, ha! Nothing like fighting fire with fire!

Falldown Toshiro/Patriot: (Sips his tea) Interesting plan, Fox. I too have a plan in the works, and it too involves the use of a Non-Thief.

Falldown Yusuke/Fox: Which one?

Falldown Toshiro looks on his desk at a picture of the Eri Natsuhara from his universe. With a stoic expression and another sip of tea, Falldown Toshiro gives his response.

Falldown Toshiro/Patriot: I think you know.

The scene opens with the group of 58 heroes, dressed in their Phantom Thief attire, standing on the edge of a cliff watching the sunrise. From right to left we have Minato, Kimiko, Akihiro, Yusuke, Haru, Mana, Mitsu, Wataru, Kunikazu, Wakaba, Eiko, Makoto, Sputnik, Remus, Ryuji, Morgana, Ann, Himari, Chihaya, Ichiko, Nakaoka, Takeishi, Mika, Daisuke, Naoya, Nariko, Kaito, Kazuya, Sadayo, Futaba, Sojiro, Zenkichi, Kana, Hayato, Hifumi, Shinya, Akane, Old Morgana, Sophia, Toshiro, Eri, Riku, Mai, Kaoru, Shiho, Yuuki, Takemi, Sae, Ryuta, Yutaka, Nayoko, Hotaru, Sumire, Ichiro, Kas, Chikao, Akechi, and finally Ren. As they stare into the sunset, the logo for 'Persona 5: From Metaverse to Multiverse' appears in the sun'

The group of 58 thieves are now seen separated in two groups

Group 1, consisting of Ren, Makoto, Futaba, Akechi, Eiko, Kana, Sophia, Sumire, Ichiro, Sae, Ryuta, Sojiro, Kaoru, Takeishi, Ichiko, Sputnik, Remus, Minato, Kimiko, Kas, Akihiro, Yutaka, Nayoko, Riku, Mai, Wakaba, Toshiro, Eri, and Takemi, are standing on a tall hilltop

Group 2, consisting of Ryuji, Ann, Yusuke, Haru, Zenkichi, Chikao, Yuuki, Hifumi, Hayato, Daisuke, Naoya, Shiho, Mika, Shinya, Akane, Nakaoka, Chihaya, Kunikazu, Morgana, Old Morgana, Himari, Hotaru, Nariko, Kaito, Wataru, Mana, Mitsu, Kazuya, and Sadayo, is standing on a tall rock formation.

The two groups, however, have their sights set on a similar setting; Hoshigami's Kingdom of Acceptance, which stands in the distance.

(We've gone past it, to the point of no return! No looking back! We don't know! We don't know enough about it!)

In the Kingdom of Acceptance lies Hoshigami's Castle. In the throne room, we see Hoshigami himself sitting upon his throne as the Falldown Thieves, Sugimura, and Claudette stand on either side of the throne.

Hoshigami is lost in thought as he thinks about his and Sojiro's younger days and how they were the best of friends, an Imagine Spot showing the two as 12 year olds playing at Inokashira Park

(We got this! We got this! We got this now! Getting all fired up we'll let sweat drip from every pore now!)

We cut to Sojiro thinking about the same thing as Hoshigami is at this moment, reflecting on the happier times between them. Just then, Futaba taps him on the shoulder and points at the Falldown Thieves who are standing before them. Sojiro and Futaba run towards the enemies as, one by one, the other 56 Phantom Thieves join them

(There's so many things we don't know! We'll remember our journey home! Everyone, even him, become silhouettes!)

First, Sumire/Violet, Ichiro/Hawk, Kas/Crash, Sadayo/Lady, and Ichiko/Flapper are taking on Falldown Kasumi/Violet, dodging Maleficent's projectiles until the five Phantom Thieves retaliate with attack from their own Personas.

Then, we see Zenkichi/Wolf, Shinya/Ranger, Akane/Spirit, Yutaka/Dizzy, and Nayoko/Warrioress taking on Falldown Zenkichi/Wolf. Yutaka skates in circles around the falldown thief, throwing shurikens before Falldown Zenkichi blocks them and prepares to counter, only to be blasted away by Zenkichi, Shinya, Akane, and Nayoko's Personas.

Next, we see Ryuji/Skull, Nakaoka/Diesel, Takeishi/Coyote, Himari/Bumblebee, and Hotaru/Feature fighting Falldown Ryuji. Falldown Ryuji is about to take a swing at his good counterpart when Nakaoka comes from underground with his drill and uppercuts Falldown Ryuji. From there, Himari, Hotaru, and Takeishi fire their guns at Falldown Ryuji, who blocks the attack with his bludgeon.

(You and I we're now growing old! There's some things we can't protect and hold! Don't let go! We both know we'll never give it up!)

Falldown Morgana is facing Morgana/Mona, Old Morgana/Old Mona, Remus/Tricky, and Sputnik/Jinx. In the middle of the battle, Falldown Morgana seems to disappear only to reappear in his vehicle form. He's about to run over the four good Poppets when Chikao comes out of nowhere and dives to save them and get them out of harm's way.

Falldown Ann is facing Ann/Panther, Shiho/Shinobi, Mika/Cheetah, Nariko/Mage, and Kaito/Professor. Falldown Ann dodges a blast from Nariko's wand, only to get hit by Shiho's boomerangs. Falldown Ann gets her bearings straight when she sees Ann, Mika, and Kaito about to hit her with their ranged attacks, so she jumps out of the way

Falldown Futaba, in the Evil Necronomicon, has Futaba/Oracle wrapped up in her tentacles. That's when Riku/Clockwork comes out of nowhere and cuts the tentacles with his chainsaw, freeing Futaba. From there, Futaba gets in her own Necronomicon as Riku, Sojiro/Chief, Wakaba/Pharaoh, and Kana/Darner charge at Falldown Futaba. Also, Mai/Enigma is there and she uses her Persona to create a replica of the BFG, which she shoots at the Evil Necronomicon.

(So many things we don't know! We'll remember our journey home! Everyone, even him, become silhouettes!)

Falldown Toshiro, Falldown Erina, and Falldown Sophia stand before the group of Toshiro/Patriot, Eri/Partisan, Takemi/Raven, Kaoru/Spore, Chihaya/Prophet, Daisuke/Ace, Naoya/Beat, Kazuya/Courage, and Sophia/Sophie. The nine heroes take out their weapons before charging at the three Falldown Thieves, who charge at them as well.

Yusuke/Fox, Haru/Noir, Mana/Shogun, Mitsu/Edgerunner, Kunikazu/Colonel, Wataru/Maestro, Hifumi/Wraith, and Yuuki/Paladin are fighting Falldown Yusuke and Falldown Haru. The two Falldown Thieves are holding their own, but the eight heroes are just a distraction for Hayato/Romeo to strike. At the right moment, the eight heroes get out of the way and Hayato, inside his tank Persona Macbeth, fires Mafreidyne at the two Falldown Thieves.

Finally, we see Ren/Joker, Akechi/Crow, Makoto/Queen, Eiko/Jester, Sae/Arbiter, Ryuta/Owl, Minato/Lion, Kimiko/Angel, and Akihiro/Mariner about to beat Falldown Ren and Falldown Akechi. But before they could land the finishing blow, Hoshigami appears out of nowhere, ready to fire a blast from his Construct Crystal.

Before Hoshigami could fire the attack, five new characters take him by surprise and their Personas send Hoshigami flying back towards his Falldown Thief allies, as well as Sugimura and Claudette have just arrived to the battle. The five new characters in question are Wonder, Cattle, Closer, Soy, and Wind from 'The Phantom X'!

(And one last time, our shadows dance within the wind! Like a leaf, we'll always float away!)

The 16 villains and a horde of Shadows are on one side of the battlefield while the 63 heroes stand on the other side. The two sides stare each other down as the logo for 'Persona 5: From Metaverse to Multiverse' appears above the two groups, ending the intro.

(Woodlands of Denial - Deep Forest)

A new day begins and the group of 29 covering the east of the New Metaverse are out and about, preparing for when they have to take down Falldown Toshiro, either by training, eating, resting, or prepping their weapons. The only ones not present in the group were Sae, Makoto, Eri, Nayoko, Riku, and Toshiro.

Ren, Akechi, Sputnik, and Remus are preparing more Healing Shots with the Kiyoi Flower they stole from the Country Club while most of the others present are eating some omelettes that Sojiro prepared. As Ichiro and Sumire ate, they were feeding each other pieces of their omelettes while cuddling next to each other. After a while they give each other an eskimo kiss; they gently rub noses together. Kas sees this and gags.

Kas: (To her 'other' parents) Y'all are gay.

Sputnik/Jinx: Said the lesbian.

Not far from where everyone was eating, we see Akihiro rubbing his face in pain from Kimiko's beatdown the previous night.

Akihiro: Minato, why didn't you warn me about how hard your sister could hit?

Minato: I didn't think there would come a moment when she'd have to beat you up. But to be fair you did ask for it last night. You know what they say, 'loose lips sink ships'.

Akihiro: Well I definitely learned my lesson, I'm never messing with your sister again.

Minato: Yeah, she's definitely toughened up some since she started landing more action roles. And even more so since the start of this adventure.

Just then, Yutaka comes up to the two men.

Yutaka: Hey, Minato. Hey, Akihiro. Have you two seen Nayoko anywhere? I've got to talk to her.

Minato: I think she said something about needing to take a quick bath. I'm pretty sure Makoto, Sae, and Eri went with her and Ryuta is with them to provide a look out for any Shadows that might try and attack them.

Akihiro: Or perverts looking to take a peek at 'something nice'.

Yutaka: Thanks.

Akihiro: Why do you want to talk to Nayoko so badly, buddy? Can't you wait until she's done with her bath?

Yutaka: Don't worry, I'm not going to do anything sussy. Trust me. (Leaves)

Akihiro: You know, speaking of Eri, I haven't seen her main squeeze Toshiro around all morning either.

Minato: And I haven't seen Riku around all that much this morning either. I wonder what they're up to?

(Woodlands of Denial - Another part of the forest)

In another part of the forest, we see Toshiro putting a bowtie around his neck, adjusting a top hat, and pulling some flowers from the ground before turning them into a bouquet. From there, Toshrio gets a warm smile on his face before he starts talking.

Toshiro: Well, Eri, here we are. I can't believe it's been almost 30 years since we first met, and since then I feel like I've grown so much and learned about how to stand up to injustice and be a voice for the voiceless, and I owe it all to you. You're the reason for the man I've become today, and for that I am eternally grateful. (Chuckles) You may think of long speeches like this as 'torturous', so let me just cut to the chase. I wish to spend the rest of my life with you and only you, Eri, my one true love. (Takes the ring out from his pocket) Will you marry me?

Toshiro turns out to be practicing his proposal with Riku, who is currently wearing a red wig and wearing one of his sister Mai's sundresses. The crossdressed Riku fans himself with his hand in excitement as he imagines what Eri's reaction to the proposal would be like.

Riku: (Excited) Oh yes! (Takes Toshiro's hand in his)

Riku and Toshiro smile at each other as their practice ends, but when it does Toshiro begins to doubt himself.

Toshiro: I don't know about this Riku.

Riku: What are you talking about, Toshiro, that was perfect! What don't you know about? Oh, I know! It's because I'm not feminine enough. It's probably my voice, isn't it? Well, how about I find and ask Ichiro for help. If he's anything like the Ichiro from my universe, he's skilled at impressions. I bet he can impersonate a female voice for us. I just don't know how he'll feel about having to wear a dress and a wig though.

Toshiro: No, Riku, you're fine. I just don't feel confident in my abilities to pull this off. What if I mess up my speech? What if Eri says 'no' and it ruins our friendship forever?

Riku: You know what your biggest problem is, Toshiro? You overthink things way too much. You're always so worried about the 'what ifs' in life that you never act upon the things you want, and sometimes need, to do. Listen, you said it yourself, you and Eri have been together for almost 30 years. In that time I'm sure you've done and said some stupid shit that could potentially put your friendship in jeopardy, yet 30 years later you and Eri are still together. Even if she does say 'no', I'm confident that you two will still be the best of friends.

Toshiro looks down to the ground as he listens to what Riku has to say.

Riku: You shouldn't let your negative thoughts dictate everything you do, that's how you live a miserable and unfulfilled life. When you die, Toshiro, you're going to regret the things you don't do more than the things you have done. So, tell me, if you don't propose to Eri at all, do you think you're going to regret it or not?

Toshiro: I'll regret it.

Riku: Exactly.

Toshiro: (Chuckles) Even though I have grown a lot and learned to stand up for myself more, I guess there's still a little bit of a worrywart inside of me.

Riku: It's good to be worried and cautious every now and again, but once in a while you've just gotta take a chance.

Toshiro: (Nods confidently) I can get behind that. You know, Riku, when this whole adventure is over, and assuming multiversal travel is possible, why don't you pay my world a visit and hang out sometime?

Riku: You mean that?

Toshiro: Of course. You're helping me more than I thought you would, and for giving me a new sense of confidence, you can count me as a friend.

Riku: Thank you, Toshiro. (Opens his arms) Bring it in!

Toshiro and Riku hug each other before they hear the sound of Mai clearing her throat. The two men look to see the petite woman looking at them and wondering why her brother is wearing one of her dresses.

Riku: (Looks down at the dress he's wearing, then back at Toshiro, then back at Mai) I swear it's not what it looks like.

Mai: Don't worry, I didn't see a thing. (Walks away)

Riku: Mai, I swear it's not what it looks like. (Chases after her) I'm just helping Toshiro with something. Nothing sordid is going on here, I promise you!

Toshiro: (Shakes his head and smiles) Oh the benefits of being an only child.

(Woodlands of Denial - Lake)

In this lake, we see Sae, Makoto, Nayoko, and Eri taking a bath and pampering themselves while conversing about recent events. Not far from the lake, we see Ryuta standing guard for any Shadows that might try to invade and/or curious males who want to 'take a peek'. As Ryuta stands guard he sees Yutaka walking up to him.

Ryuta: Hold on there, Yutaka, can't let you through here. Sae, Makoto, Eri, and Nayoko are taking a bath and Sae left me in charge of making sure no one sees them in their more 'primal' states.

Yutaka: And I intend on not peeping on them, Other Father. I just heard that Nayoko was here and I wanted to talk to her, so I'm more than happy to wait for her until she's done.

Ryuta: Still stressing about your accidental kiss with her yesterday?

Yutaka: It was all I could think about. I've always had a crush on her, but I never thought this day would come.

Ryuta: That's the thing about love. It happens when you least expect it. I know I wasn't expecting to fall head over heels with Sae, but here we are now, and now I'm in the same boat as you; too nervous to tell the girl of my dreams how I really feel and now I'm standing guard for her and her friends to stay on her good side.

Yutaka: Almost makes you wonder what they're talking about?

Ryuta: Kind of. (Thinks for a bit) I mean, it wouldn't hurt if we eavesdropped on them just a little bit.

Yutaka: Yeah.

Ryuta: And I'm still technically keeping a lookout for Shadows. It's just that some of my energy will be going into hearing if they're talking about us.

Yutaka: And if they find out we're eavesdropping and they ask why I'm here, just tell them that you needed an extra pair of eyes.

Ryuta: Sounds good.

With that, Yutaka and Ryuta go down to the water to get close to the four bathing girls, making sure to hide behind some bushes to avoid being detected.

Eri: I wonder where Toshiro is. I haven't seen him all morning. I hope he's alright.

Makoto: I'm sure he's fine, Eri. He's a Phantom Thief after all. I'm sure he can take care of himself if he runs into trouble.

Nayoko: I wonder if Toshiro's disappearance has anything to do with Riku's disappearance this morning.

Sae: The two of them do seem like they're getting more 'buddy-buddy' recently.

Nayoko: Gotta say I never would've thought Riku would make friends with someone like Toshiro, but I've seen stranger team-ups. Don't forget, Makoto, where I come from, you and Ryuji are married.

Makoto: And I'm still in shock.

As the two men listen, Ryuta is starting to become bored while Yutaka is still listening intently to their conversation.

Ryuta: (Whispers to Yutaka) Man, this is more boring than I thought it would be.

Suddenly, they hear Nayoko says this…

Nayoko: Hey, can I talk to you three about something?

Sae: Sure, Nayoko, what's on your mind?

Yutaka: (Whispers to Ryuta) Oh, shhh, here we go! (Leans in a little to listen in)

Nayoko: Well, back at the country club, when Yutaka and I had to ballroom dance for our membership passes. Well, as we danced, we got a little carried away and we both sort of…kissed.

Makoto: You kissed Yutaka, Nayoko?

Nayoko: Yes. We both got so caught up in the moment, letting the music dictate our actions, and before either of us knew it we were locking lips.

Sae: So it happened in the heat of the moment?

Eri: I guarantee a 'heat of the moment' thing is how 99% of most couples get their start. So I guess that means you and Yutaka are dating now?

Nayoko: That's just it. Both Yutaka and I said that the kiss meant nothing and we only did it for the good of the mission. But the more I think about it, the more I begin to wonder if that's really true. You guys, I think I really like Yutaka.

When Yutaka hears this, he gaps loudly only for Ryuta to quickly cover his mouth so the four girls don't find them out.

Makoto: That's great, Nayoko. Why don't you tell Yutaka about how you feel?

Nayoko: Well that's the rub. I may think of Yutaka in a romantic way, but I don't know if he feels the same way about me. For all I know, he really did only kiss me for the sake of the mission. Help me out here. How do you know if a guy really likes you?

Eri: If I may throw my hat in the ring.

All eyes are now on Eri as she prepares to give Nayoko some advice.

Eri: Back when I was in middle and high school, before I met Toshiro, I had a few of my male classmates following me around the schools like a group of puppy dogs.

Sae: (Impressed) Alright, Eri.

Eri: What can I say, I developed early. (Focuses her attention back on Nayoko) Anyway, you know a guy likes you when he frequently compliments you, makes an effort to spend time with you, remembers details about your life, leans in when he talks to you so he can listen to what you have to say, and shows signs of jealousy when you're talking with other guys.

Nayoko: Yutaka being jealous? (Chuckles) Come on, he's not that immature.

Makoto: Didn't you tell us back in your universe he cried when they ran out of chocolate pudding in the cafeteria?

Nayoko: It's his favorite dessert, and to be fair I get upset whenever it's blueberry pie day and they run out.

Yutaka: (Still hiding behind the bushes; whispering to Ryuta) It's true, she does.

Nayoko: So if he's immature, then I guess I'm immature.

Eri: There you go. You two can be happily immature together. But back onto the topic at hand, Nayoko. If Yutaka shows any of those five signs, then he's crazy about you.

Nayoko: Okay, thanks Eri. I'd hug you but, I don't want our 'bits' to touch.

Eri: Much appreciated.

Hearing that makes Makoto and Sae chuckle.

Makoto: Well, we'd better wrap up our bath. Everyone is probably waiting for us so we can leave for Toshiro's next fortress.

Eri: Good idea, let's go dry off.

Eri, Nayoko, Makoto, and Sae make their way out of the lake, with Yutaka especially excited to see the four women naked. Unfortunately, before they even leave the water, Ryuta covers the young man's eyes, much to his disappointment.

Yutaka: (Whispers) Come on, just one peek?

Ryuta: Just use your imagination.

The two men stay hidden as the four girls get out of the lake and walk over to where their towels, clothes, and a bag of their sundries are located. The four girls wrap themselves up in their towels before brushing and/or drying their hair with battery powered hair dryers. However, as Makoto was drying her hair, a flash of light suddenly overcame her and she became Queen.

Makoto/Queen: Huh?

Sae: Makoto, you're in your Phantom Thief attire!

Makoto/Queen: (Drops her hair dryer and grabs a revolver) And that can only mean one thing!

Suddenly, they hear the sound of engines revving up. As the four girls look in the direction of where the sound was coming from, a group of four Shadows, these ones having the appearance of convertibles with angry faces on the front, come out from the wilderness and start driving around the four females.

Nayoko: More Shadows!

Makoto/Queen: Can't we just have one morning of peace?

Makoto takes aim with her revolver and shoots one of the Shadow Car's tires, causing it to lose control and drive straight into the lake where it sank to the bottom.

Sae: Nice job, Makoto!

Makoto/Queen: One down and four to-

BAM!

As Makoto was taking aim at another Shadow Car, another Shadow Car came out of nowhere and ran into her, sending her flying into the lake.

Sae, Nayoko, Eri, Ryuta & Yutaka: MAKOTO!

The same Shadow Car that hit Makoto stops and extends its seatbelts towards Eri. The seatbelts wrap her up and pull her inside the Shadow Car.

Eri: Guys, help!

With Eri in their possession, the Shadow Cars drive off elsewhere.

Sae: ERI!

Ryuta: (Comes out of hiding with Yutaka) Where do you guys think they're taking her?

Nayoko: I don't know!

Yutaka: We've gotta find the rest of the gang and go after them!

As if on cue, the other members of their group come out of the wilderness to check on their friends. Ren, Kimiko, Minato, Futaba, Sojiro, Ichiro, Sumire, Kas, Akechi, Toshiro, and Ichiko are in their Phantom Thief attire due to the appearance of the Shadow Cars, and Riku is still wearing a dress from practicing Toshiro's proposal.

Ren/Joker: We turned into our Phantom Thief forms! Is everything okay?

Yutaka: Obviously not if you guys turned into Phantom Thieves. Also why is Riku wearing a dress?

Riku: (Blushes) Not important right now, guy!

Toshiro/Patriot: Wait a minute! Where's Eri!?

Ren/Joker: And where's Makoto?

Makoto/Queen: (Comes walking out of the lake, dripping wet and coughing up water) Right here, Joker.

Ren/Joker: Makoto, thank God! Are you okay? (Hugs her)

Makoto/Queen: Might be a little sore tomorrow with a case of Swimmer's Ear, but other than that I'm fine.

Ren/Joker: What happened?

Makoto/Queen: Some Shadows that took on the form of cars came out of nowhere. I managed to get one, but another one ran into me when I wasn't looking, sending me flying into the lake.

Sae: And not long after that, one of those Shadow Cars grabbed Eri and drove off with her somewhere.

Toshiro/Patriot: What?!

Kimiko/Angel: Maybe I can see where they drove off to.

Kimiko opens up her wing pack and flies upwards to see if she can find Eri and the Shadow Cars. Upon getting high enough, Kimiko scans the area when she sees a group of three Shadow Cars with Eri trapped inside one of them, trying in vain to break free from the Shadow's seat belt. She saw that the cars were taking Eri to a large city not far from her current position. Kimiko flies back down to report her findings to the rest of the group.

Ren/Joker: You find her?

Kimiko/Angel: Yeah. They're taking Eri to some kind of city not far from here.

Akechi/Crow: A city? You think that's where the next fortress is?

Minato/Lion: No, remember what Falldown Toshiro said when he escaped from the Country Club? That city is the fortress. (Mutters) Seriously am I the only one who pays attention around here?

Ichiro/Hawk: If they're taking Eri to a city, then she could be anywhere in there.

Sojiro/Chief: It would be wise to give City Hall a try first. The Shadows might have taken her there. Who knows. With any luck we might be able to find one of the Falldown Thieves hiding out there too.

Makoto/Queen: And for an added bonus the next seal could be there too.

Ren/Joker: The Healing Shots are done whenever you guys are ready to head out.

Sae: We're not going anywhere until Nayoko and I change into some presentable clothes and Riku puts on some more masculine clothes. (Riku glares at her)

Toshiro/Patriot: You can change on the way! Time is of the essence! Let's move!

With that, Toshiro and Sputnik turn into their vehicle forms as the 28 heroes hop on board. Once everyone is inside the two Poppets, they drive in the direction the Shadow Cars took off in. The heroes drive into the City Fortress, with Toshiro looking very determined.

Toshiro/Patriot: Hang in there, Eri, we're coming to save you!

(Woodlands of Denial - Falldown Toshiro's City - City Hall)

Falldown Toshiro sits at his desk in his office, waiting for Eri's arrival. Just then he hears a knock at the door.

Falldown Toshiro/Patriot: Come in!

The doors open and two Shadow Policemen come in with Eri, who is still wearing nothing but a towel. The Policemen push Eri inside as she falls to her knees, groaning in pain as her injured knee hit the floor hard. The Policeman leaves, closing the door behind him and leaving Eri alone with her boyfriend's evil counterpart.

Falldown Toshiro/Patriot: Only a towel, Eri? Surely you could've made yourself more presentable for me.

Eri: (Annoyed) When you're kidnapped you don't get a lot of time to go through your wardrobe.

Falldown Toshiro/Patriot: (Chuckles) Just like the Eri from my universe, you never take nonsense from anybody.

Eri: Let's just cut to the chase. Why am I here?

Falldown Toshiro/Patriot: So I can use you as bait to lure your friends here.

Eri: That evil version of Sumire tried a similar plan and we kicked her ass six ways from Sunday. I think we can do the same thing to you!

Falldown Toshiro/Patriot: It is true that I'm taking a note from my former ally's playbook. But I have something that she didn't.

Eri: What would that be?

Falldown Toshiro/Patriot: All will be explained in due time, my dear.

Eri: Well whatever tricks you have, I'm sure my friends will overcome them with ease. They'll be here any minute to come save me, change your heart, and nab the next seal.

Falldown Toshiro/Patriot: Such unyielding optimism. Unfortunately, it won't help you here. Of course, when you're nothing but a cripple, what else do you have to fall back on?

Hearing Falldown Toshiro refer to her as a cripple made Eri's face start to redden with anger.

Eri: Watch it, asshole!

Falldown Toshiro/Patriot: Oh, please, what can you hope to do against me? You can't even walk without a cane to help you. Honestly I'm surprised your friends and my good counterpart haven't left you high and dry yet. All you are is deadweight. Unable to fight, and unable to move without proper assistance. You don't even have both of your eyes. It's a miracle you're still alive.

Eri: You know as well as I do the circumstances that led to me looking like this! And if your world's version of Eri heard you talking like this she'd be just as angry as I am right now!

Falldown Toshiro/Patriot: Unfortunately she can't. Unlike you, when Nakabachi-sama pushed my Eri in front of the train, she died almost immediately. It's alright though. The Falldown Thieves and I paid him back in full. Nakabachi-sama is currently rotting in hell along with my father and my ex-fiance Marie. It was a joy to put those miserable fools out to pasture, and I know that wherever she is now, my Eri is proud of me for finally having stood up for myself and fighting back against my oppressors!

Eri: Or she's disappointed at the monster you've become.

Falldown Toshiro/Patriot: Not possible, my dear. Both you and my Eri had a strong sense of justice; to stand up to your oppressors and fight back against them.

Eri: Somehow I don't think cold blooded murder is what she had in mind.

Falldown Toshiro/Patriot: Who cares what she had in mind! What matters is that I've made anyone who has ever crossed me pay and they're no longer in my way! Killing the wicked and erasing them from existence is the only true way to punish them; Murder is true justice!

Eri looks at Falldown Toshiro with a mix of fear and sadness. Just then, a chime noise could be heard echoing in the office. Falldown Toshiro rushes to the monitor to see Eri's 28 allies riding into the city on Sputnik and Remus' vehicle forms

Falldown Toshiro/Patriot: And here comes my good counterpart and his friends right on schedule. Time to show you that surprise I was telling you about earlier.

Falldown Toshiro takes out another remote control as Eri watches on, curious and scared about what would happen next.

(Woodlands of Denial - Falldown Toshiro's City - City Outskirts)

On a suspended road leading into the city we see Remus and Sputnik's vehicle forms, with the 26 Phantom Thieves inside them. The two vehicles are driving down the suspended road side-by-side, the windows rolled down so the Phantom Thieves inside them can talk to one another.

Inside each vehicle we have…

Sputnik: Akechi (driver), Minato, Kimiko, Ichiko, Kas, Sophia, Eiko, Ryuta, Sae, Kaoru, Takeishi, Riku, and Mai.

Remus: Ren (driver), Makoto, Toshiro, Sumire, Ichiro, Futaba, Sojiro, Wakaba, Kana, Takemi, Akihiro, Yutaka, and Nayoko.

Akechi/Crow: I can't imagine what Falldown Toshiro wants with Eri.

Ren/Joker: Isn't it obvious? He's clearly using her as bait so we can come to his city.

Sumire/Violet: And like the idiots we are, we're going in guns blazing after her.

Ichiro/Hawk: To be fair, Sumi, we don't really have any other options in the matter. We were going to have to come here sooner or later regardless.

Kana: If I didn't know any better, I'd say Falldown Toshiro only took Eri to get under our collective skins.

Toshiro/Patriot: And it's working! Oh, I swear if there's a single hair missing on Eri's head when we get there, I'm gonna-

Sae: Calm yourself, Toshiro. Being angry isn't going to solve anything. If you want to save Eri, you have to keep a level head.

Toshiro/Patriot: (Sighs sadly) You're right, Sae. I just wish I could've been there so I could've maybe stopped the Shadows from taking her.

Mai: Yeah, about that, what were you and my brother doing in the woods anyway?

Toshiro/Patriot: It's a secret. Don't worry about it.

Mai: Does that secret have anything to do with why Riku was wearing a dress earlier?

Riku: (Annoyed) Let it go, Mai!

Meanwhile, inside Remus' vehicle form, we see Nayoko and Yutaka sitting on opposite sides of the Hummer. Yutaka looks over at Nayoko and decides to try and to talk to her, following Ryuta's advice from Episode 9.

Yutaka: So, Nayoko. (Nayoko turns to face him) You uh…you have a nice bath?

Nayoko: Before those Shadows invaded, yes.

Yutaka: That's good…so, what shampoo do you use because your hair smells wonderful.

Nayoko: It's just green apple scent.

Yutaka: Oh, well…it suits you.

Nayoko: Uh, thanks.

Yutaka: (In his thoughts) Oh God I'm blowing it. Nayoko looks absolutely disinterested and creeped out. 'Your hair smells wonderful', who the hell compliments someone like that?!

Nayoko: (In her thoughts) Was he just trying to compliment me by saying my hair smells nice? Is this what Eri was talking about earlier? Oh, I have a lot to learn about boys and how they flirt.

Suddenly, Yutaka and Nayoko's thoughts are interrupted when the suspended road begins to shake.

Futaba/Oracle: Hey, what's going on?

Remus/Tricky: The road, it's shaking!

Eiko: Is it an earthquake?

Sputnik/Jinx: No, it's something else entirely.

Just then, the suspended road begins to crack down the middle, the two halves of the road separating the two vehicles as the two halves begin to move apart.

Akihiro: What the hell is happening?!

Makoto/Queen: I don't know, but I feel like this has Falldown Toshiro's name written all over it!

(Woodlands of Denial - Falldown Toshiro's City - City Hall)

Makoto's suspicions are correct as back in the City Hall's main office, we see Falldown Toshiro and Eri looking at a monitor showing the Phantom Thieves getting separated. Falldown Toshiro has his finger on a button on his remote, meaning that he's the reason for the suspended road breaking.

Eri: What are you doing?!

Falldown Toshiro/Patriot: I'm splitting your friends up. My city fortress is a maze littered with Shadows of all kinds. They'll need to get through them if they want to get to me and find the seal in the sewers powering this whole city. Them being in smaller groups should make them easier to pick off.

Falldown Toshiro laughs victoriously as Eri, with her teeth gritted nervously, continues to watch the group get separated.

(Woodlands of Denial - Falldown Toshiro's City - City Outskirts)

The two halves of the suspended road continues to move away from each other, sending the two groups to different parts of the city.

Akechi/Crow: (Watches as Remus' group goes to a different part of the city) Damn it!

Ren/Joker: (Watches as Sputnik's group goes to a different part of the city) This isn't good!

Ichiro/Hawk: Hey, don't worry, we're all going to the same place. We'll just meet Akechi and the others at City Hall.

Ren/Joker: You're right, Hawk. This is just one minor setback. We can still do this!

Futaba/Oracle: Then let's drive into that city at full throttle!

Kana: You heard her, Remus, punch it!

Remus/Tricky: You got it! (Drives into the city as Sputnik does the same on her half of the suspended highway with her group of Thieves)

With the Phantom Thieves separated, Ren's group taking the east part of the city and Akechi's group taking the west, they drive into the city, ready to start their search for Eri, Falldown Toshiro, and the next seal.

(Woodlands of Denial - Falldown Toshiro's City - City Hall)

Back in the City Hall, Falldown Toshiro and Eri watch as the two groups of Phantom Thieves drive to two separate parts of the city.

Eri: You know splitting us up won't stop us. In fact, splitting up is how we managed to take down Falldown Kasumi and steal her seal.

Falldown Toshiro/Patriot: True, but Falldown Kasumi didn't have the number of Shadows at her command that I do. (Takes out his remote control and presses another button) Rise and shine, boys, we have some uninvited guests to greet!

Falldown Toshiro presses a button on his remote control, freeing whatever Shadows reside in the city.

---

(All over the city)

A parking garage opens up, causing more Shadow Cars to come driving out, engines revving all the while.

The doors to a police station opens up, and Shadows dressed as Policemen come out holding guns and nightsticks.

A firehouse opens up as Shadows dressed like firemen either come running out with their axes in hand, or they hitch a ride on some black colored fire trucks with green flames painted on them.

Fast food restaurants open up and groups of Shadow Chefs and rotund looking Shadows wearing fanny packs come lumbering out. A few of the Obese Shadows open up their fanny packs to take out a cheeseburger. Upon consumption, the Obese Shadows grow in size and let out a roar as they begin to explore the city.

Finally, from an abandoned building, groups of Shadows dressed as Gangbangers come walking out of an abandoned apartment complex, guns in hand.

Shadow Gangbanger #1: (Leading his group into the city) Let's go fuck some shit up, boys!

Back in City Hall, Falldown Toshiro watches as all of his Shadows take to the streets in search for any of Eri's allies.

Falldown Toshiro/Patriot: Yes, my minions, fly! Take to the streets, and don't stop until you've succeeded in killing the Phantom Thieves of Hearts!

Eri: (Looks out a nearby window) Toshiro, wherever you are, please be careful.

(Woodlands of Denial - Falldown Toshiro's City - Slums)

With the group riding in Remus, they're seen entering the slums of the City Fortress, their half of the suspension road having taken them there. Remus is driving slowly and carefully in case any Shadows try to take them by surprise.

Ren/Joker: Keep your guard up Tricky. The moment you see any Shadows don't hesitate to mow them down.

Remus/Tricky: Aye, aye, captain!

Nayoko: So now that we're here, where do you reckon we'd find this city hall?

Takemi: I want to say we should head straight for the center of the city, but that feels too simple. Falldown Toshiro would expect us to head that way, and all we'll find there is a trap with all our names on it.

Sojiro/Chief: Well, the only alternative I can think of is finding 'Main Street'.

Yutaka: Isn't that usually where shops and other businesses are located?

Sojiro/Chief: True, but sometimes a town or city will have their city hall on Main Street.

Wakaba: Well, it's a better answer than what any of us can come up with.

Ren/Joker: Main Street it is. Keep your eyes peeled for any street signs that read, 'Main Street' Tricky.

Remus/Tricky: Aye, aye, captain!

Akihiro: Since when did you start calling Ren 'captain'?

Remus/Tricky: Well he's the leader of our pack, so we should treat him as such.

Ren/Joker: Just Ren or Joker is fine, Remus. And besides, when it comes to pet names, I leave that up to Makoto.

Makoto/Queen: (Winks cutely) Love you, sexy.

Ren/Joker: Back at you, babe.

Futaba snickers at hearing Ren and Makoto flirting with each other, but suddenly Remus screeches to a halt as they come across an unexpected blockade…in the form of a group of Shadow Gangbangers.

Remus/Tricky: Guys, we've got trouble!

The Phantom Thieves inside take a look at the Shadow Gangbagers before them. They're cocking their guns and glaring at our heroes with unbridled rage in their eyes.

Futaba/Oracle: Uh, Tricky, when Joker said, 'don't hesitate to mow any Shadows down', what part of that didn't you seem to understand?

Remus/Tricky: I was ready to mow down one or two of them at a time, not a whole entourage of them!

As Futaba and Remus argued, the Shadow Gangbangers take out their guns and aim them at the Phantom Thieves. Not long after that, they started to open fire on them. Bullets are flying everywhere, most of them hitting Remus' car body.

Remus/Tricky: Ow! Ouch! Hey! Watch the paint job!

Makoto/Queen: Get us out of here, Tricky!

Remus/Tricky: Planned on it!

Without hesitation, Remus turned around and peeled out of there, the Shadow Gangbagers quickly running after them.

The Shadow Gangbagers watch as the Hummer turns a corner, and they quickly follow suit. But when the Shadows turned the corner, they didn't see any sign of the Phantom Thieves anywhere. But they weren't ready to give up just yet.

Shadow Gangbanger #2: Those mark ass busters couldn't have gotten far.

The Shadow Gangbangers slowly walk down the street, keeping their eyes and ears peeled for the Phantom Thieves. One of the Gangbangers took some empty bottles out from his pocket, putting them on his fingers and clinking them together.

Shadow Gangbanger #3: (As he clinks the bottles) Phantom Thieves! Come out and play!...Phantom Thieves! Come out and play!

The Shadow Gangbangers continue to walk down the street. Meanwhile, in an alleyway, the group of 14 are hiding behind a dumpster to avoid being detected by the Shadow Gangbangers. Remus is out of his vehicle form and back to his Tortoise form. The group of 14 only come out of hiding when the sound of footsteps and bottle clinking disappear.

Sumire/Violet: Phew, that was way too close!

Toshiro/Patriot: No doubt my evil self has been expecting us, so he sent out every Shadow he has in order to destroy us.

Kana: Well we can't hide out here forever. Sooner or later we've gotta make or move, or those gangsters will come and find us.

As Kana says this, Ren looks around and sees a fire escape on the building next to them.

Ren/Joker: That's it!

Ren walks up to the fire escape ladder and pulls it down.

Ren/Joker: It might be a smart idea to climb up the fire escape and go roof hopping to get to Main Street.

Makoto/Queen: I like the way you think, Joker.

Remus/Tricky: Yes, but, small problem. Some of us lack proper jumping skills to get from rooftop to rooftop. I'm a bulky tortoise with a large shell holding me up. Sojiro, Toshiro, and Wakaba probably can't jump that well on account of their age, and folks like Futaba and Kana aren't athletically built to be making huge bounds.

Toshiro/Patriot: We're not that old and frail you know.

Remus/Tricky: Better safe than sorry. (He looks next to the dumpster to find a long plank of wood) Look, we can use this plank for the less capable folks to walk across.

Ichiro/Hawk: Good eye, Remus. (Goes behind the dumpster to grab the plank)

Ichiro climbs up the fire escape first, with Ren passing him the plank of wood once he's on the platform. From there, the other 14 members of the group climb up the ladder and join Ichiro up on the fire escape. The group of 14 make their way up the stairs and to the rooftop. The group observes their surroundings, trying to figure out which way to go.

Futaba: Hey, I see a flag in the distance. (Points at a black and blue checker pattern flag with a white colored painting of Hoshigami's face on the middle)

Sojiro/Chief: I think we've found city hall.

Ichiro/Hawk: (Lowers the plank for everyone to cross) Well, let's get a move on, gang. Time's a wastin'.

One by one the group of 14 cross the plank to get to the next rooftop. Once everyone was across, Ichiro took the board and went over to the next building to repeat the process.

Kana: Guys, if we're trying to get to City Hall, wouldn't it make more sense to have Remus turn into his plane form so he could fly us all there?

Makoto/Queen: That would be too obvious. We'd get gunned down for sure.

Remus/Tricky: Not to mention I want to save my energy for some fighting.

Akihiro: Speaking of fighting, I hope the rest of our team is staying out of trouble.

(Woodlands of Denial - Falldown Toshiro's City - Downtown)

Sputnik/Jinx: TO THE MOON! (Whacks a Shadow Police Officer so hard it knocks him unconscious)

As the one Shadow Police Officer falls to the ground his comrades behind him open fire on the rabbit poppet who hops out of the way and seeks refuge from atop a street light.

The half of the suspended road with Sputnik on it took this group into the Downtown District of the City Fortress. As soon as this second group of Phantom Thieves entered downtown, they were met with a group of Shadow Policemen, Shadow Firemen, Obese Shadows, and Shadow Chefs, ready and raring to give them a beatdown.

Sae and Ryuta were seen hiding in an alleyway with Kaoru, Riku, Mai, Takeishi, and Eiko to avoid being detected by the other Shadows while the seven Phantom Thieves of the group handled them.

Speaking of which, we see Sputnik hiding atop a street light as the Police Officers ready their guns.

Sputnik/Jinx: Bet you boys wish you had a Persona right about now! MULAN!

Sputnik summons Mulan and she has the persona use Floradyne to launch a series of razor sharp petals at the Shadow Policemen, slicing them to ribbons.

Sputnik/Jinx: Heh! Never bring a gun to a flower fight!

With Kas, she's fighting two Obese Shadows who try to punch at her, but she's too quick for them and she blows them away with her sawed off shotgun. Kas then turns her attention to a third Obese Shadow who glares at her angrily.

Kas/Crash: Hey, fat boy, you wanna fight?!

In response, the third Obese Shadow takes a burger out from his fanny pack and gobbles it down. Within seconds, the Shadow grows in size and roars angrily. But the roar didn't phase Kas at all.

Kas/Crash: Get ready for the workout of a lifetime! Penthesilea!

Kas summons Penthesilea and she uses Terraga on the Obese Shadow, who blocks the rocks with his large forearms. With another roar, The Obese Shadow charges at Kas, so Penthesilea puts up a shield of rocks with spikes on them. Penthesilea pushes the spiked shield towards the incoming Obese Shadow, and he ends up running into the rock wall, impaling himself.

As Kas was finishing the third Obese Shadow, Sophia was seen using her yo-yos to take out a group of Shadow Policemen. The Shadow Policemen shot their guns at Sophia, who just blocked each shot by spinning the yo-yos around herself. From there, Sophia spun around in circles, holding her yo-yos out as they hit each Shadow Police Officer in the head. All of the Shadow Policemen are down for the count, but after spinning around so much Sophia is left dizzy.

Sophia/Sophie: Oh, not good!

A Shadow Chef sees an opportunity here and decides to strike. He sneaks up behind her, giant cleaver in hand, but before the Shadow Chef could attack her, he felt something impale him. The Shadow Chef looked down to find Akechi's Lumina Saber had impaled him from behind. Akechi took his saber out before cutting the Shadow Chef's head clean off his shoulder.

Sophia/Sophie: (Shakes her head to get her bearings straight) Hey, thanks for that. I can't believe where Ren and his friends come from you're actually one of their biggest enemies.

Akechi/Crow: Well where I come from they were some of the best friends I ever had.

Sophia/Sophie: Right. I can only imagine the pain that you must be going through.

Before Akechi and Sophia could share a heart-to-heart, more Shadow Policemen surround them.

Akechi/Crow: Save your sympathies for later. Right now we have Shadows to slay!

Sophia nods as she and Akechi take out their blaster and ray gun respectively and open fire on their enemies.

With Ichiko, She's fighting a Shadow Firefighter as she blocks his axe with her crowbar. The Shadow Firefighter pushes Ichiko back and knocks her to the ground before jumping up, reading to hit her with his axe. Ichiko rolls out of the way before putting her crowbar away and replacing it with her Berthier rifle, shooting the Shadow Firefight right through the chest, defeating him.

Ichiko/Flapper: And stay down!

Ichiko was about to encounter bigger problems as a group of Shadow Firefighters on a firetruck come pulling up behind her. She turns around to see some of the firefighters getting the hose ready, aiming it at her.

Shadow Firefighter #1: You need to cool off!

The Shadow Firefighters spew a powerful blast of water at Ichiko, the force of the water sending her back a few feet and knocking her on her ass. Angry and dripping wet, Ichiko gets up.

Ichiko/Flapper: Is that the best you assholes can do?! Gatsby!

Ichiko summons Gatsby as the Shadow Firefighters prepare another blast of water. But before they could attack, Gatsby hits the fire truck with an Ayamur, destroying it and most of the Shadow Firefighters with it. As for the surviving Shadow Firefighters, Gatsby finishes them off with Eigon.

With Minato, he's surrounded by a group of Shadow Chefs who try to slash at him with their cleavers. It's all in vain though as Minato keeps parrying with his spear before finishing the Shadow Chefs off with either a stab to the mid-section or a shot from his wrist mounted crossbow.

Shadow Chef #1: (As he gets stabbed by Minato) Sacre bleu!

Minato/Lion: (As he shoots another Shadow Chef between the eyes) Hey, Angel, how you doing over there?

We see Kimiko battling some Shadow Policemen who are trying to hit her with their nightsticks, but she blocks and destroys them with her Celtic Flame Sword.

Kimiko/Angel: Just about done! (Opens up her wingpack and flies into the sky) MARY!

Kimiko summons Mary Magdalene and she has her use Makaougon on the remaining Shadows, finishing them all off. With the Shadows gone, the Non-Thieves of the group, Sae, Ryuta, Kaoru, Riku, Mai, Takeishi, and Eiko, come out of hiding and rejoin the rest of the group.

Kaoru: As usual, awesome work you guys. Especially you, Sophie.

Sophia/Sophie: Oh, thanks Kaoru. (Humbly rubs back of her head)

Kimiko/Angel: (Descends towards her friends) Let's keep up the good work, and we should have Eri back in no time.

Once Kimiko lands, however, she catches her reflection in a nearby store window. She looks at herself and notices that her rear end has gotten 'rounder' since the birth of her two sons, Tats and Akira, and her bodysuit made her 'plumpness' all the more noticeable. Kimiko looks at her butt in the reflection as Sputnik comes up to her.

Sputnik/Jinx: (Snarkily) All done admiring yourself?

Kimiko/Angel: Sorry, Jinx. It's just that I didn't realize how much of the baby weight from Tats and Akira went to my butt.

Kas/Crush: Ah, it's no big deal, Kim. I'll tell you what. When we get back home I'll put you on my exercise program. That booty of yours will be trimmed down in no time.

Kimiko/Angel: As tempting of an offer as that may be, Kas, I'm not really in a rush to lose it. After all…(Naughtily)...it's more cushion for Kaito's pushin'.

Minato/Lion: (Uncomfortably) Jesus, Kim, you're starting to sound just like mother.

Kimiko just giggles naughtily as Akechi clears his throat, ready to speak up.

Akechi/Crow: Okay, everyone, listen up!

Eiko: Yeah, guys, shut up and listen to what Akechi has to say! (Looks at Akechi) Okay, you have the floor. (Smiles cutely)

Akechi/Crow: Thank you, Eiko. (Addresses the rest of the group) Alright, guys, listen. I know we should head for City Hall as that's where Eri and Falldown Toshiro could be. But another target we need to look out for is the seal. So, what I'm suggesting is that while Ren's group goes after Toshiro, we go after the seal.

Sae: While that is a good idea in theory, who's to say Ren and his group aren't looking for the seal already. And for all we know the seal could be at City Hall with Falldown Toshiro and Eri. I say we continue looking for City Hall. The others are probably expecting us there.

Minato/Lion: I don't know, Sae. Somehow I don't think Falldown Toshiro would keep the seal in the same place where he'd keep Eri. That sounds too easy.

Akechi/Crow: Exactly!

Takeishi: Well where would we even begin to look for the seal?

Sophia/Sophie: Based on what we know about the seals already, they're fueled by Hoshigami's memories, something that is usually held sacred. So, we just need to think of where you'd put something sacred on display.

Eiko: (Groans) We're really going to explore a boring museum? Fine! But they'd better have a gift shop.

Sophia/Sophie: More sacred than that.

The group of 14 put their heads together to think of a 'sacred place' and that's when Kimiko snaps her fingers, having come up with an answer.

Kimiko/Angel: A church! A place like that is plenty sacred!

Riku: Smart thinking, Kim!

Ryuta: Leave it to the Phantom Thief themed after an angel to come up with that answer.

Kimiko/Angel: Hey, I may be an angel on the outside…(Naughtily)...But Kaito will tell you that I'm a little devil on the inside.

Minato/Lion: Please stop talking.

Sophia/Sophia: If I may recite a quote from a hip-hop song I just looked up to describe your sister, 'She's a lady in the streets but a freak in the bed'.

Minato groans in uncomfortable annoyance as Kaoru chuckles, knowing it was Sophia that caused Minato's agitation.

Mai: Alright, so we need to find a church. Where could we find one?

Kas/Crash: Uptown might be a safe bet.

Sputnik turns herself into her Ford Transit form.

Sputnik/Jinx: Get in and fasten your seatbelts, boys and girls. Next stop, Uptown!

The 13 humans pile into Sputnik and once everyone is safely inside her, she drives off for Uptown. Little do they know, they're being spied on thanks to a camera that's perched on the side of a nearby building, and the camera feed is being relayed back to City Hall.

(Woodlands of Denial - Falldown Toshiro's City - City Hall)

Falldown Toshiro is watching footage of Akechi's group making their way to Uptown where the cathedral is located on one monitor. On another, he's watching Ren's group traversing the rooves to get to the City Hall itself. Eri, still clad in a towel, is still sitting behind Falldown Toshiro, silently rooting for her friends to save the day.

Falldown Toshiro/Patriot: One group is after me, and the other is after the seal.

Eri: Yeah, that's right! You might as well give up now, because your plans are going to come tumbling down hard!

Falldown Toshiro/Patriot: (Walks over to Eri and uses his hand to lift up her chin, his eyes meeting hers) As long as I still have you in my possession, my sweet, I can still win.

Eri angrily spits in Falldown Toshiro's face, causing him to take off his glove and smack her in the face with it, the stinging feeling causing a tear to roll down her cheek.

Falldown Toshiro/Patriot: (Puts the glove back on) What's wrong? Is my goody-two-shoes counterpart too much of a wimp to rein you in?

Eri: Just you wait until they get here, you bastard!

Falldown Toshiro/Patriot: Yes, I suppose I should be shaking in my boots at the thought of your friends' arrival…but did you already forget this?

Falldown Toshiro holds up his remote control and clicks a few buttons before putting it away.

Falldown Toshiro/Patriot: Now we wait.

Eri: What did you just do?

Falldown Toshiro/Patriot: Wait and see, my pet.

(Woodlands of Denial - Falldown Toshiro's City - Sewers)

Deep in the sewers of the city, we see a yellow stone heart with a yellow gemstone in it. It's the next seal! The seal sits in a glass enclosure attached to wires and tubes. The seal begins to glow as the whole room, and by extension, the city starts to shake.

With Ren's group they come down from another fire escape, having finished their bout of roof hopping. They look down Main Street to see that City Hall is just a hop, skip, and a jump away.

Akihiro: Check it! We're not that far away from City Hall!

Sumire/Violet: About time! I'm ready to kick some teeth in!

Ichiro/Hawk: Look at you, sounding more and more like our daughter from the other timeline each day.

Sumire/Violet: (Shrugs) I guess she's starting to rub off on me.

Toshiro/Patriot: Just hang on a little while longer, Eri. We're almost there.

Ren/Joker: Alright, all, let's-

Ren was cut off when the ground beneath their feet begin to shake!

Remus/Tricky: Wh-What's happening?!

Makoto/Queen: It's an earthquake!

(Woodlands of Denial - Falldown Toshiro's City - Uptown)

As that was going on, with Akechi's group, they're driving through Uptown; a residential area. The group are almost at the city's cathedral when the ground begins to shake. Sputnik's tires come to a screeching halt as everyone begins to panic, wondering about what's going on next.

Ichiko/Flapper: Aw man, what now?

Takeishi: It's the rapture! Quick, get Kaoru out of the car before God comes!

Kaoru: Why me?!

Takeishi: Your love for a freaking AI is sickening and I don't want that to ruin my godhood.

Kimiko/Angel: You can't ruin what you don't have.

Mai: (Jokingly) This coming from the promiscuous one of our group.

Akechi/Crow: Guys, look! (Points at the cathedral which is moving away from them along with some of the other houses in the Uptown neighborhood) The cathedral is going away!

Sae: This isn't an earthquake! The city is just changing its layout!

(Woodlands of Denial - Falldown Toshiro's City - Main Street)

With Ren's group, they see some buildings moving in, separating them from City Hall.

Toshiro/Patriot: NO!

Futaba/Oracle: This isn't an earthquake! Somehow, Falldown Toshiro is changing the layout for the whole city, ensuring that we don't get to him.

As Futaba explained, the city stops changing its layout, and the Shadow Gangbangers manage to find the group of 14 once more.

Shadow Gangbanger #1: It's those Phantom Thieves again, yo!

Sojiro/Chief: Not these guys again!

Ren/Joker: It looks like our only option is to fight, everyone!

Toshiro/Patriot: I'm ready when you are, Joker. Nothing is going to keep me from Eri!

Ren/Joker: (Takes out his pistols) Ready, Phantom Thieves! Let's go!

Ren, Makoto, Toshiro, Sojiro, Futaba, Remus, Sumire, and Ichiro prepare to make their move when suddenly…

Male Voice: MANDRIN!

Female Voice: AWILDA!

Before the Shadow Gangbangers knew it, most of their group were taken out with blasts of Zionga and Bufula. Soon only five Shadow Gangbangers remained.

Shadow Gangbanger #2: Yo, what's going on, man?!

Shadow Gangbanger #3: (Takes out his gun) Show yourselves, fools!

Nayoko: What the heck is happening now?

Nayoko would soon get her answer as from the buildings, two masked figures jump down from some nearby buildings ready to face the Shadow Gangbangers. One was male and wearing black and blue clothes, light blue gloves, a pointy black hat, and a silver eyemask. The female is wearing an all yellow, hooded uniform and a red eyemask.

Sumire/Violet: Who are they?

Ichiro/Hawk: They look like more Phantom Thieves! (Turns to Ren) Are they friends of yours?

Ren/Joker: I've never seen them before in my life, Hawk.

The two new Phantom Thieves slowly advance towards the remaining five Gangbangers, ready to finish them off.

Shadow Gangbanger #4: Stay back, yo! We don't want no trouble!

Black and Blue Thief: It's a little late for that, don't you think? (Looks at his accomplice) Ready, Closer?

Closer: Ready, Soy!

Closer and Soy: SHOWTIME ATTACK!

SHOWTIME - 'Blah Blah Land'.

The remaining Gangbanger Shadows find themselves on an overlook at sunset. They turn to see Closer and Soy facing them, and before either of the Shadows know it, their two adversaries begin to dance in sync with some light jazz music that was playing in the background. The Shadows look confused, but to their surprise, they begin to dance along with the two new Phantom Thieves.

Closer, Soy, and the five Gangbanger Shadows continue to dance in sync with the music, spinning and tap dancing as if they were actual Broadway performers. As they danced, however, Closer and Soy took out four of the five Shadows with their ranged weapons, a crossbow and rotary machine gun respectively. The Shadows don't even realize that the two thieves are killing them as they danced.

Eventually, only one Gangbanger Shadow is left standing and as the music stops so does the dancing. The remaining Gangbanger Shadow notices that he's the only Shadow remaining, and standing before him is Soy and Closer, who have their ranged weapons pointed right at him. They pull the triggers and shoot the Gangbanger Shadow through the chest killing him.

Closer and Soy turn around and take a bow as an audience is heard giving them a round of applause and roses are thrown at them, ending the Showtime Attack.

With the Shadow Gangbangers defeated, the group of 14 approach the two new thieves so they could thank them for their assistance.

Ren/Joker: We don't know who you two are, but we would like to thank you for your help.

Soy: Think nothing of it. We were just sent here to protect you and aid in the effort.

Makoto/Queen: Who sent you? Philemon? Who are you two exactly?

Soy: Just call me Soy.

Closer: And I'm Closer. Remember the names well, as I'm sure we'll meet each other again.

Soy and Closer run off to another part of the city as the group of 14 stare off after them.

Sojiro/Chief: Hold up you two! (They're already out of his line of sight) Hoo boy, they move fast.

Remus/Tricky: If they really wanted to help us in the battle against Hoshigami, they would've stuck around and helped us get to the City Hall.

Yutaka: What I want to know is why Philemon thought of sending those two our way. I'm sure we could've taken those Shadows without their help.

Sumire/Violet: I say who cares. If they're enemies of Hoshigami they're friends of ours. Maybe if we run into them again we can convince them to join us.

Toshiro/Patriot: Can we stop focusing on those two and get back to the matter at hand, please? Who knows what my evil counterpart is subjecting Eri too at this very moment! Every second we waste just standing here is a second we could be using to get to City Hall!

Sumire/Violet: Okay, Patriot, just relax!

Toshiro/Patriot: (Sigh) I'm sorry for snapping at you guys. It's just that Eri means the world to me and I don't think I'd be able to live with myself if I failed to save her. I already failed her once, and that's what caused her to get a busted eye and a damaged leg. I should've fought back when Nakabachi tried to push her in front of that train, or at the very least get her to safety.

Ren/Joker: You still feel pretty bad about that, huh?

Toshiro/Patriot: (Nods) I just want Eri to be safe. I thought that by saving her I can make up for that past mistake, as well as my distancing myself from her after the fact. I should've known she'd never resent me. Eri isn't the type of person to hold a grudge, and I was happy to know that she held no hard feelings about what had happened. After our reunion, we started to hang out more, just like when we were younger. I took her to physical therapy sessions, and we even teamed up to form our own non-profit organization to help the homeless. The two of us have made a big difference in the lives of so many people, and before we knew it, our friendship has turned into a beautiful romance.

Futaba/Oracle: Yeah, about that, with Eri's leg completely busted, how would things work for you two, you know, in bed?

Sojiro/Chief & Wakaba: (Scolding) Futaba!

Futaba/Oracle: I'm just saying what we're all thinking.

Toshiro/Patriot: What Eri and I do behind closed doors is none of your business, thank you very much! (Calms himself) Anyway, Eri and I have been lovers for a long time and best friends for even longer. I don't even know where or who I'd be without her. She molded me into the strong and confident man you know today.

Ichiro/Hawk: It's like the old saying goes, 'behind every strong man is a stronger woman'. And I know the feeling. (Smiles at Sumire) Violet is the light of my life, and without her I shudder to think of where or what I'd be right now.

Sumire/Violet: Likewise, Hawky.

Ren/Joker: I know Queen is the reason why I wake up in the morning. Everything I do, I do for her.

In response, Makoto gives Ren a peck on the cheek.

Yutaka: (Looks over at Nayoko; to himself) The way Ichiro feels about Sumire, and the way Ren feels about Makoto…I feel the exact same way about Nayoko.

Ren/Joker: We understand exactly how you feel, Patriot, and we're sorry if we haven't exactly been taking the mission to save Eri as seriously as we should be.

Toshiro/Patriot: If anyone should be apologizing right now, it should be me. I kind of snapped at Violet just now. I guess I'm also a little stressed because I also have this on the brain.

Toshiro reaches into the pocket of his Phantom Thief attire and pulls out the small box containing the ring he was going to propose to Eri with. Seeing it causes the other 13 with him to gasp in shock.

Futaba/Oracle: You're going to pop the question?

Akihiro: That's awesome, dude!

Toshiro/Patriot: I've been trying to figure out the perfect proposal. That's why Riku was wearing a dress and wig earlier today, so I can practice my proposal on him.

Kana: I don't think you needed to resort to those extremes, but at least it's all starting to make sense.

Toshiro/Patriot: Not only am I nervous for when I do finally decide to propose to her, but with her being kidnapped by my evil counterpart, I fear that if we don't hurry and save her I may not get the chance.

Ren/Joker: In that case, why are we just standing around here? We've got a lucky woman that needs saving!

Remus/Tricky: Yeah, let's get Toshiro and Eri hitched! (Turns into his chinook helicopter form)

Sojiro/Chief: Aren't you worried about being spotted and gunned down, Remus?

Remus/Tricky: Not when love is on the line, Chief! Now everyone, get in! It's City Hall or bust!

Toshiro/Patriot: Thank you, everyone.

Makoto/Queen: Thank us when Eri is back on our side, safe and sound.

Toshiro/Patriot: Right!

The 13 humans board Remus' helicopter form, and once everyone is safely on board, Remus flies up and towards City Hall.

(Woodlands of Denial - Falldown Toshiro's City - Uptown)

Minato/Lion: (Lets out a battle cry as he finishes a Shadow Policeman with his spear)

The likes of Kimiko, Akechi, Sputnik, Kas, Sophia, and Ichiko also have their weapons out as they likely finished off some Shadows of their own; like with Ren's group, Minato's group likely faced an ambush of Shadows upon Falldown Toshiro changing the layout of the city.

Kas/Crash: (Balls up her fists and gets in a fighting stance) Any other Shadows want some?!

Mai: (Giggles) Easy there, champ, I think you got them all.

Takeishi: So now that we put those Shadows out to pasture, what do we do now? Just find the cathedral again?

Akechi/Crow: There's honestly no point. Look up there.

Akechi points at a security camera perched on a nearby lightpost that's looking right at them.

Akechi/Crow: Falldown Toshiro is monitoring our every move. Everytime we get close to the cathedral, he's just going to change the layout again. He's got eyes and ears everywhere.

In response, Ichiko just looks at the camera, takes out her Berthier rifle and shoots it.

Ichiko/Flapper: There, problem solved.

Sae: And you're going to do that to every camera that crosses our path?

Ichiko/Flapper: If I have to, I will.

Suddenly, Sputnik's bunny ears perk up as she hears something; a whirring noise. She looks over at a nearby manhole cover and walks over to it.

Akechi/Crow: What is it, Jinx?

Sputnik/Jinx: I hear something coming from the sewers; a whirring noise.

Kimiko/Angel: You think that's where the next seal is?

Sputnik/Jinx: Maybe. Flapper, we could use your crowbar!

Ichiko/Flapper: Say less, Cotton Tail! (Takes out her crowbar and uses it to open the manhole cover)

Eiko: (Grossed out) Oh God, is this what we're doing right now? Are we really going to plunder the nasty sewers?! (Holds in vomit)

Sophia/Sophie: We're going to have to if we want to get that seal and take power away from Falldown Toshiro and Hoshigami.

Eiko: (Whines) Akechi, can you carry me so I don't have to walk through all that disgusting sewer water?

Akechi/Crow: (Groans) Fine.

Riku & Mai: (Sing-songy) Someone's got a girlfriend! Someone's got a girlfriend!

Akechi/Crow: Shut it, already!

Minato/Lion: Well, here we go!

And with that, the group of 14 jump down the manhole and into the sewer, with Akechi carrying Eiko in his arms as he jumped in after everyone else.

(Woodlands of Denial - Falldown Toshiro's City - Sewer)

The group of 14 land in the ankle deep waters of the dimly lit sewers of Falldown Toshiro's City Fortress. Almost immediately, the stench was beginning to get to Eiko, whose face was turning green.

Eiko: Oh God, what is that smell?!

Kas/Crash: We're in a sewer, princess, what did you expect?

Eiko: (Gags) Augh! What do these Shadows eat?!

Takeishi: I hope to God their diet consists mostly of spoiled brats.

Kimiko/Angel: (Looks around) I change the diapers of two twin baby boys. The scent of this place doesn't bother me.

Minato/Lion: Alright, enough talk about poop, let's find that seal. Jinx, do you still hear that whirring?

Sputnik/Jinx: Clear as a bell, Lion.

Minato/Lion: Then lead the way.

Sputnik/Jinx: You got it!

Sputnik leads the rest of the group down the sewers to the source of the whirring noise. After going down a few passage ways, and having to deal with Eiko vomiting once or twice along the way, the group comes upon a chamber where they see a yellow stone heart with a yellow gemstone in the middle of it stuck inside a small class enclosure.

Sputnik/Jinx: Yes, I knew it was here!

Ryuta: Alright, way to go Jinx!

Eiko: Good, let's grab that seal and get out of here before I hack up my lunch again.

Kaoru: That casing is made of glass. I'd say just give it a good solid whack and we're done.

Sputnik/Jinx: (Takes out her baseball bat) This is what my bat was made for!

Before Sputnik could do anything, however, the group stop dead in their tracks when they hear a low growling sound.

Riku: Guys…please tell me that growling noise was one of your stomachs?

Minato/Lion: (Takes out his spear) We're not alone here, guys. Get ready!

The Non-Thieves hide behind Akechi, Minato, Kimiko, Ichiko, Kas, Sputnik, and Sophia as they get ready to fight. From the waters surrounding the platform they were on, something leaps up into the air and lands in front of them. The group of 14 find themselves face to face with a humanoid monster; one with spikes along his back, razor sharp claws, a long trail, sharp yellow fangs, scaly green skin, and an armored mask with piercing red eyes behind them; it was a Shadow Gator!

Sae: And here I thought sewer gators were a myth.

The Shadow Gator lunges at our heroes who dodge out of the way before taking it on in a full-on fight.

(Woodlands of Denial - Falldown Toshiro's City - City Hall)

Inside Falldown Toshiro's office, the Falldown Thief is watching the monitors. He sees Ren's group riding on Remus' Chinook Helicopter form, making a beeline towards the City Hall.

Falldown Toshiro/Patriot: Perhaps I should've taken this into account. Well, I supposed I should prepare myself for battle.

Eri: You are so screwed now, pal.

Falldown Toshiro/Patriot: That's what you think, but I'm never short on tricks! (Makes his leave) I'll be back as soon as I dispose of my good counterpart and his friends. Now don't go anywhere or do anything stupid...not like you can, cripple! (Leaves and locks the door behind him)

Eri: ASSHOLE!

Eri groans in annoyance as she tries to figure out what to do from here. That's when she looked in the corner of the room where she saw a basket with an umbrella sitting inside of it. Eri crawls over to the umbrella and takes it out of the basket.

From there, she uses the umbrella to push herself up on her two feet. Once she's on her feet, she uses the umbrella as a makeshift cane.

Eri: At least I can walk again. Now if I can just find a way out of here so I can help the others.

Just then she hears footsteps approaching the door. Her face lights up as opportunity shows its face. Eri gets close to the door, her body against the wall as she hears the door being unlocked. A Shadow Butler comes in holding some cleaning supplies.

Shadow Butler: Master Toshiro would be pleased as punch to find his office clean once he finishes those Phantom-

WHACK!

Eri hits the Shadow Butler over the head with her umbrella, knocking him unconscious. With the door open, still clad in a towel and using the umbrella as a cane, Eri makes her way out of the office so she can join her friends.

(Woodlands of Denial - Falldown Toshiro's City - City Hall Front Steps)

Outside City Hall, we see Remus, still in his chinook helicopter form, land outside of the large building, with the 13 human passengers jumping out upon landing. Once all 13 humans disembarked from him, Remus turns back into his Poppet form and takes out his flare gun.

Ren/Joker: Falldown Thief, we're here, show yourself!

Ren asked and now he's going to receive as the front doors to the City Hall burst open causing Falldown Toshiro and a whole army of Shadow Policemen come running out to face them.

Sumire/Violet: (Looks at the large police squad before them) Aw, how sweet! You didn't have to bring your whole fanclub here. But as long as you did, we're more than happy to give out some autographs! (Readies her antique rifle)

Ichiro/Hawk: Yes. Perhaps a nice bullet in their heads with 'From Phantom Thieves with love' written in their blood!

Falldown Toshiro/Patriot: You know, I've had just about enough of your Phantom Thieves and your pluck. We all have. That's why we're set to end this little feud here and now. I'm going to succeed where Kasumi and Zenkichi have failed miserably!

Sojiro/Chief: You're more than welcome to try!

Futaba/Oracle: (Looks over at the six Non-Thieves) You'd better get somewhere safe. This is going to get real ugly.

Kana: Already on it!

Kana, along with Wakaba, Takemi, Akihiro, Yutaka, and Nayoko rush into a nearby alleyway as the eight Phantom Thieves prepare for battle.

Toshiro/Patriot: This doesn't have to be a big thing, you know. We know you have Eri in there somewhere! If you just hand her over and surrender, we won't be forced to harm you.

Falldown Toshiro/Patriot: Don't tell me you actually care about that feeble woman?! She has only one good eye and can't walk without the use of her cane. What good is a useless woman like that to you?

Toshiro/Patriot: I wouldn't expect someone like you to understand, but she has a fiery personality and a can-do attitude that I can't help but adore. It's not what's on the outside that matters. I love Eri for who she is on the inside, and when she and I are together I feel as though I have the strength to move mountains!

Falldown Toshiro/Patriot: That is quite powerful. But I don't need a cripple to help me find that strength. With my Persona, my power can reach heights never before seen by you lot! And it's with that power that I'm going to crush the lot of you once and for all! HOMELANDER!

Falldown Toshiro summons Homelander and once he appears, he and Falldown Toshiro do a fist bump. With this fist bump a dark aura surrounds Falldown Toshiro causing him to groan in pain as Homelander disappears.

Makoto/Queen: He wouldn't be a Falldown Thief without having the ability to fuse with his Persona!

Remus/Tricky: This battle is about to get a whole lot tougher.

Toshiro/Patriot: I don't care if he's fused with a hundred Personas, I'll fight him! Anything to save my Eri!

As the Thieves exchange banter, Homelander disappears completely, all of his power now flowing through Falldown Toshiro. As this is going on, from a nearby window in City Hall, we see Eri watching Falldown Toshiro's transformation before picking up the pace to meet her friends outside.

Falldown Toshiro/Patriot: Yes…I feel it…UNLIMITED POWER!

The aura surrounding Falldown Toshiro erupts as his appearance changes. Homelander-Patriot's is wearing the same black spandex that Homelander usually wears as well as the Japanese Flag Cape. Homelander-Patriot also retains the black mask and silver bullet bandoliers that his Phantom Thief attire had. Finally, his black hair is now spiked and gelled up. Not only that, but Homelander-Patriot's physique is more jacked.

Our heroes stare at Homelander-Patriot in awe, impressed and horrified at the now buff Falldown Thief standing before them.

Homelander-Patriot: You Phantom Thieves think you're so tough?! Then come on, show me what you can do!

Ren/Joker: He may be tough but we're tougher! Queen, Patriot, Tricky, you three are with me. Hawk, Violet, Chief, and Oracle, you four take out the Shadows.

Sojiro/Chief: Done and done, Joker!

Futaba/Oracle: (Summons and boards the Necronomicon) I'm ready!

Toshiro/Patriot: Then let's go! For Eri!

The Phantom Thieves charge towards Homelander-Patriot and his army of Shadows, ready to finish this fight once and for all and save Eri.

(Woodlands of Denial - Falldown Toshiro's City - Sewer)

The Shadow Gator lunges forward and swipes at the seven Phantom Thieves with his claws, but they dodge out of the way. Kimiko opens her wingpack and flies skyward shooting her Healing Arrows down at it. The Shadow Gator's skin, however, is thick and scaly, so the arrows just bounce off.

Kimiko/Angel: My arrows can't penetrate this thing's skin!

Minato/Lion: Then I guess we'll just have to feed him our Healing Shots! (The Shadow Gator faces him next) Open wide, Big, Green and Ugly!

Minato fires some healing shots from his wrist mounted crossbow, but the Shadow Gator spits out acid that melts them almost instantly.

Minato/Lion: Crikey!

The Shadow Gator is about to lunge at Minato when it gets hit in the face by explosives. The Shadow Gator turns to see Sputnik, bomb in one hand and baseball bat in the other.

Sputnik/Jinx: Hey, Crap Breath, if you want to eat something so badly why don't you eat this!

Sputnik hits her bomb with her baseball bat and it goes flying towards the Shadow Gator. The bomb blows up in its face again, and with an angry roar, the Shadow Gator charges at the Rabbit Poppet. Before the Shadow Gator could strike, Akechi swoops in and gets Sputnik out of harms way. Eri sees Akechi's act of heroism and swoons.

Sputnik/Jinx: I could've handled him, you know.

Akechi/Crow: Didn't really look like it! Leave this to the professionals! Robin Hood!

Akechi summons Robin Hood and he has the Persona use Megaton Raid to fire an arrow at the Shadow Gator's chest. The Shadow Gator just grabs the arrow and breaks it in two.

Akechi/Crow: Well that didn't go as planned.

The Shadow Gator is about to strike Akechi and Spuntik when Kas comes out of nowhere and uppercuts the Shadow, sending him falling onto his back.

Kas/Crash: And coming out of left field, it's Crash with her patented Meteor Smash Attack! And the crowd goes wild! (Imitates cheering)

With the hiding Non-Thieves, Mai giggles at seeing her wife showboating.

Riku: You enjoyed that? I found that to be more obnoxious than anything.

The dizzy Shadow Gator sits up to see Ichiko standing before him.

Ichiko/Flapper: Have yourself a drink, pal! Gatsby!

Ichiko summons Gatsby and a blast of Eigon comes out of his cup. The Eigon hits the Shadow Gator so hard that he goes flying into a nearby wall.

Minato/Lion: We've got him on the ropes! Let's go, Tarzan!

Minato summons Tarzan and by raising his spear, rocks rise up from the ground surrounding the Shadow Gator, restricting his movements

Sophia/Sophie: Pandora!

When Pandora gets summoned, she forces the Shadow Gator's mouth open.

Sophia/Sophie: Alright, Sputnik, it's feeding time!

Sputnik/Jinx: (Takes out her Healing Bomb) Get it while it's hot! (Hits the bomb with her baseball bat and it goes flying into the Shadow Gator's mouth)

Once the Gator eats the Healing Bomb, Penthesilea disappears as the Shadow Gator explodes in a plume of golden fire, killing it instantly. The seven Phantom Thieves look to see their Non-Thief allies coming out of hiding.

Kaoru: You all did great!

Kas/Crash: We did more than great, kid! We kicked ass!

Eiko: You certainly did. Now can we please collect that seal and get out of this filthy place?

Just then, our heroes hear more growls and they have the fear of God put in all of them. From the depths of the sewer come five more Shadow Gators, all of them looking very hungry and angry that they killed their ally.

Takeishi: Oh this has gotta be some kind of joke!

Akechi/Crow: Regardless, we're in this for the long haul! I'm ready to fight these monsters if you all are!

Sputnik/Jinx: Check you out embracing teamwork and having faith in your allies. Your ability to open up is coming along.

Akechi rolls his eyes at this statement.

Ichiko/Flapper: Alright, Phantom Thieves, I'm ready when you are!

Minato/Lion: Then let's not waste anymore time. I summon your power, Tar-

Closer: AWILDA!

Soy: MANDRIN!

Before our heroes could do anything, two new Personas came out of nowhere and took out the five Shadow Gators. Awilda shocked three of the Shadow Gators with Maziodyne, killing them instantly while Mandrin bisects the remaining two Gators with Giant Slice. Once the five Gators are defeated, the two Persona disappear, leaving the group of 14 absolutely gobsmacked. They look behind them to see Closer and Soy behind them.

Closer: Three-me, two-you. You totally owe me a Monta when we get back home.

Soy: You're lucky you're cute, Closer.

Ryuta: Uh, who the hell are you two?

Closer and Soy turn their attention to the fourteen, who are currently looking at them confused and amazed, but with a hint of gratitude in their eyes.

Soy: Pleasure to meet you all. I am Soy.

Closer: And I'm Closer. We're Phantom Thieves just like all of you.

Sae: Is that so?

Takeishi: (Looks at Sophia) Hey, Robo-babe, you've been a Phantom Thief longer than any of us. Do you know them?

Sophia/Sophie: I don't know who they are, and I have no records of them in my data banks.

Akechi/Crow: Well they don't come from my world.

Minato/Lion: Or ours.

Soy: Closer and I come from our own separate universe, and we were sent here to help stop Hoshigami from destroying the multiverse. And if it weren't for us, the lot of you would be those Shadow Gators' dinner.

Ichiko/Flapper: Yeah, thanks for saving our skins, but I think we can take the whole 'Saving the Multiverse' gig from here.

Kaoru: Come on, Ichiko, you could be a little nicer.

Closer: No, your friend is right. Soy and I have our own quest to follow as do our own allies; Wonder, Wind, and Cattle.

Soy: I imagine they're somewhere in the Desert of Anger right now trying to stop Hoshigami's plans there. Anyway, our work here seems to be done. We'll leave the seal destroying to you all.

Closer: Farewell, Phantom Thieves. Until we meet again!

Soy and Closer run off down the sewer as our 14 heroes stare off after them.

Takeishi: Well that was weird.

Minato/Lion: Very. But at the very least they seem to be on our side.

Kimiko/Angel: Do you really think we'll run into them again?

Sae: It's hard to say for sure, but right now we have more important things to worry about.

The group of 14's attention is turned towards the yellow heart shaped stone slab in the small glass enclosure. They all walk towards the glass enclosure, ready to break it, claim it, and take power away from the villains.

(Woodlands of Denial - Falldown Toshiro's City - City Hall Front Steps)

As all of that was going on, the battle outside of City Hall was raging on; Ichiro, Sumire, Futaba, and Sojiro fighting against the Shadow Policemen while Ren, Makoto, Toshiro, and Remus did battle against Homelander-Patriot.

We see Ichiro surrounded by four Shadow Policemen who have their nightsticks at the ready.

Ichiro/Hawk: I don't even need my Persona to deal with you guys. (Takes out his meteor hammer) Let's make this interesting.

One of the Shadow Policemen charge at Ichiro, and in response Ichiro hits him in the face with the meteor hammer before the Shadow could hit him with the nightstick. The second Shadow Policemen took out his gun, but before he could fire it, Ichiro used his meteor hammer to knock the gun out of his hands before shooting him through the chest with his sniper rifle.

The third Shadow Policeman, however, was where Ichiro started to struggle. When he wasn't looking, the third Shadow Policeman got behind Ichiro and restrains him. With Ichiro incapacitated, the fourth Shadow Policeman takes out his pistol and prepares to shoot at him. But right when he was about to pull the trigger, Sumire came out of nowhere and drop kicked the Shadow Policeman away.

From there, she takes out her antique rifle and shoots the Policeman restraining Ichiro in the leg, causing him to let go of the hooded Phantom Thief, allowing him to shoot at the Shadow with his sniper rifle.

Sumire/Violet: You okay?

Ichiro/Hawk: Much better now that you're here.

Sumire smiles at Ichiro, but that smile turns into a look of pain when a gunshot is heard, the bullet hitting Sumire right in the butt.

Sumire/Violet: Ow! (Drops to her knees as she rubs her butt)

Ichiro and Sumire look to see that the Shadow Policeman that was dropkicked was the one who shot Sumire.

Shadow Policeman #1: Bad move getting distracted like that, brats! (Laughs)

More Shadow Policemen show up to fight Sumire and Ichiro. The hooded Phantom Thief helps his girlfriend on her feet.

Ichiro/Hawk: Are you alright?

Sumire/Violet: My ass hurts like hell, but I'll live. (Looks at the Shadow Policemen that stand before her and Ichiro) I think now would be a good time to bring out the big guns.

Ichiro/Hawk: Literal big guns in my case. SIMO!

Sumire/Violet: CENDRILLON!

When their Personas get summoned, Cendrillon fires a Makougaon at the Shadow Policemen while Simo unleashes Riot Gun. With these attacks combined, the Shadow Policemen hardly stand a chance. With the army of Policemen taken care off, Sumire and Ichiro separate to find more Shadows to take out.

With Sojiro, we see him parrying the Shadow Policemen's nightsticks with his saber before stabbing and slashing at them. He looks behind him to see some Shadow Policemen taking aim at him with their guns, causing him to summon his Persona.

Sojiro/Chief: CYRUS!

When Cyrus gets summoned, Sojiro has him use 'Repel Phys' to block the bullets. Cyrus blocks the bullets by absorbing them through one of the jewels on his crown before firing them out of another jewel. The bullets hit the Shadow Policemen, killing most of them.

Shadow Policeman #2: Old guy is tough. We need to step up our game. (Talks into a walkie-talkie) Send in the Alpha Team!

From the City Hall, more Shadow Policemen come out carrying riot shields. They stand before Sojiro, forming a wall with their shields as they take out their guns.

Sojiro/Chief: (Nervously) Hoo boy!

Shadow Policeman #2: FIRE!

The Riot Shield Shadows fire their guns, but before the bullets could reach Sojiro, Futaba uses Final Guard to protect him from the bullets.

Futaba/Oracle: Back off my dad, you pigs!

Sojiro/Chief: (Chuckles) Nice one Futaba, and thank you!

Futaba/Oracle: Anytime

The Shadow Policemen star firing at the Necronomicon, angering Sojiro.

Sojiro/Chief: Hey, you were supposed to be fighting me!

Sojiro summons Cyrus once more and has him use Mahamaon on the Shadow Policemen and Riot Shield Shadows, destroying a majority of them.

Finally we cut to the battle between Homelander-Patriot and Ren, Makoto, Remus, and Toshiro. Makoto and Ren are firing their guns at Homelander-Patriot, who just block the bullets with his cape.

Homelander-Patriot: Bullets can't hurt me, loathsome oafs! You'll be here all day trying to hurt me!

Ren/Joker: We're not the ones you should be worried about!

As Ren said this, Remus and Toshiro appear behind Homelander-Patriot, ready to attack the superpowered Falldown Thief from behind. By the time Homelander-Patriot turns around, it's too late to react.

Remus/Tricky: MERLIN!

Toshiro/Patriot: ERNESTO!

Merlin and Ernesto get summoned and they both use Psiodyne and Liberator respectively. The attacks hit Homelander-Patriot hard, creating a wall of smoke around him. Homelander-Patriot, however, quickly flies out of the smoke cloud and glowers down at his four foes.

Homelander-Patriot: My patience with you idiots are wearing thin! So just do me a favor and die!

Homeladner-Patriot fires a blast of Makougaon from his eyes down at the four heroes! Remus hides in his shell and leaps into Toshiro's arms as they two jump out of the way. Ren tackles Makoto to the ground so they both avoid the blast.

Ren/Joker: (As he tackles Makoto out of the way) Get down!

As the four Thieves get back up, Homelander-Patriot goes over to one of the pillars on the City Hall building and breaks it off, intending on using the pillar as a giant baseball bat.

Homelander-Patriot: Never was a fan of sports, but I'll try anything once!

Homelander-Patriot swings the pillar down at the four Phantom Thieves as they dodge out of the way. The superpowered Falldown Thief then swings the pillar at Ren, who reacts by summoning one of his Personas.

Ren/Joker: Shiki-Ouji!

When Shiki-Ouji gets summoned, the Persona blocks the pillar before using his own strength to rip the pillar from Homelander-Patriot's hands before throwing said pillar back at him, sending the Falldown Thief Flying a couple feet. With Homelander-Patriot laying on the ground, Toshiro decides to strike.

Toshiro/Patriot: He's mine! (Runs at Homelander-Patriot as he loads a Healing Shot into his gun)

Makoto/Queen: Patriot, wait!

Toshiro inches closer to Homelander-Patriot, but the superpowered Falldown Thief hears his good counterpart coming at him. Once Toshiro comes in close, Homelander-Patriot sweeps his leg, causing him to trip. Homelander then stands up and grabs Toshiro by the neck. The other seven Phantom Thieves and Non-Thieves see this and gasp.

Futaba/Oracle: Guys, Patriot is in trouble!

Sojiro/Chief: Don't worry, Oracle, we've got him!

Before Ren, Makoto, Sojiro, Ichiro, Sumire, or Remus could do anything, they were faced with more Riot Shield Guards and their guns as they stand between them and Homelander-Patriot.

Homelander-Patriot: That's right, boys, keep 'em far away from me and my good counterpart. (He tightens his grip around Toshiro's neck)

Toshiro/Patriot: (Choking) Don't…do this!

Homelander-Patriot says nothing as the grip around Toshior's neck tightens even more. The Falldown Thief was ready to snap his counterpart's neck when suddenly…

Eri: STOP!

Everyone turns to the front door of the City Hall to see Eri standing there using an umbrella as a cane and still wearing nothing but a towel.

Ichiro/Hawk: Eri, you're okay!

Homelander-Patriot: Who the hell let you out? Can't you see that I'm busy?!

Eri: I let myself out. Word of advice, the next time you keep a hostage locked up somewhere, you'd better make sure that you remove anything that they can use to their advantage. (Briefly holds up the umbrella).

Homelander-Patriot: Well congratulations, you're actually smarter than your dumbass friends. But I guess where you lack in physical capabilities, you have to make up for in other areas. Isn't that right, cripple?

Eri: Stop calling me that!

Homelander-Patriot: You may have a strong brain, but that doesn't mean shit if your body is feeble and weak from injury.

Eri: My injuries weren't my fault, you know this! This happened to me because of a wicked man!

Homelander-Patriot: That may be true, but even still you should know the limitations of your strength. A cripple like you can't do anything against someone like me! You should've just stayed home in your own dimension. Besides, your friends, and my good counterpart especially, were better off without you dragging them down!

Eri growls in anger and annoyance at her foe's arrogance and cruel words. So angry in fact that she didn't notice two Shadow Policemen pointing their guns at her.

Homelander-Patriot: But as long as you're here now, you can die alongside your so-called friends. And just to show you how weak you really are, I say you should be the first to go!

The two Shadow Policemen load their guns and put their fingers on the trigger. Eri sees this and hangs her head in shame. The remaining Phantom Thieves see this and try to run over to Eri to stop the Shadow Policemen, only for more Riot Shield Shadows to stand in their way.

Sumire/Violet: Eri, don't just stand there, get away!

Homelander-Patriot: How can she? She can't go anywhere without a cane to help her! She's powerless to stop me!

Eri raises her head in anger and glares at the superpowered Falldown Thief.

Eri: I'm stronger than you think I am, Super Douche! Has my body seen better days, of course. Do my injuries hold me back, sometimes yes. But even in my current state, I still feel as though I have the power of 10 men, and that's because I have Toshiro and my friends on my side cheering me on! They give me the strength to do anything. You on the other hand get power through the senseless killing of others and have no real friends to speak of! My Toshiro is stronger and more of a man than you'll ever be! He's the reason I get up every morning, and I can't even imagine what my life would be like without him. And unlike you, the fact he can see past my injuries and see someone truly beautiful on the inside and outside proves that he's an outstanding human being!

Toshiro/Patriot: (While still getting strangled by his evil counterparty; deeply touched) Eri…

Eri: You will release my boyfriend right this instant! And then you're going to go back to whatever miserable hole you came from and never bother us again!

Homelander-Patriot: Such powerful words from such a feeble woman. I'll make sure they write them on your tombstone.

Hearing this makes Eri angrier than she's ever been.

Eri: TOSHIRO!

Suddenly, Eri feels immense pressure in her head causing her to drop her umbrella and fall to her knees.

Eri: Wha- What's going on?!

Eri begins groaning in pain as everyone around her automatically knows what's coming next. The Non-Thieves of this group are especially surprised and excited to see the birth of another Phantom Thief.

Akihiro: Is it me or does seeing this never get old?

Takemi: It's not just you.

Excited, Nayoko grabs onto Yutaka's hand. When Yutaka sees this, a blush appears on his face. While that's going on, Eri begins to hear her Persona, Joan of Arc, talking to her.

Joan of Arc: What a foolish man, not understanding how powerful you really are. You must be someone strong if you're willing to awaken to me. Your lover and his friends have gone through hell and back trying to save you from the villain. Now it's your turn to return the favor…I am thou, thou art I…let us ride together on a steed of justice, and show the wicked what real justice looks and feels like!

As Joan of Arc stops talking, Eri looks up to reveal that she's wearing a mask similar to Toshiro's, only the mask covers the right eye instead of the left. Eri rips the mask off of her face causing blood to fly everywhere as blue flames envelop her. Once the flames die down, Eri's appearance changes. She's gone from wearing her bath towel to her new Phantom Thief attire as the Persona of Joan of Arc stands behind her.

Eri's appearance as a Phantom Thief is similar to Erina's. Eri is wearing a gray steel mask that's covering her right eye, and her clothes consist of a torn red knee-length skirt, a black belt around her waist with a silver buckle, and a buttoned up black jacket with the right sleeve rolled up. On her hands are a pair of black gloves and on her right foot is a black army boot while her left leg is covered in a grey metal greave that allows her to walk and run without the use of her cane. Her melee weapon is a pair of swords attached to chains while her ranged weapon is a bayonet rifle.

Joan of Arc is wearing silver armor on her upper body and a red skirt similar to Eri's on her lower body. She's mountain upon a black horse with a fiery mane and a silver mask. Joan of Arc's head is a flaming skeleton with icy blue eyes.

Seeing Eri embrace her Persona and become a Phantom Thief puts fear in Homelander-Toshiro.

Homelander-Toshiro: Don't just stand there, shoot her!

The two Shadow Policemen standing next to her are about to pull their triggers, but before that could happen, Eri takes her chain swords and throws them at the two Shadow Policemen, impaling one and cutting the other's head clean off his shoulders. This puts even more fear in Homelander-Toshiro's eyes as more Shadow Policemen and Riot Shield Shadows run up to the new Phantom Thief. Seeing the incoming shadows doesn't make Eri flinch at all.

Eri: Joan, let's take 'em to church!

Joan of Arc snaps her fingers as several flaming swords appear and surround her. From there, Joan and Eri point at the Shadows coming at them and the flaming swords go flying at them, impaling and killing the Shadows without shields and going right through the shields of the Riot Shield Shadows. This is a new skill called 'Razor Rain'.

Homelander-Toshiro goes from afraid to angry at the sight of Eri fighting back.

Homelander-Toshiro: It's like the old saying goes. (Drops Toshiro, freeing him from his grip) If you want something done right, do it your damn self!

Homelander-Toshiro fires a powerful Kougaon from his eyes and Eri leaps over the attack as Joan of Arc disappears. Homelander-Toshiro keeps firing his eye beams with Eri expertly dodging each of them until she's standing next to Ren and his comrades. Toshiro runs up to the rest of his allies, rubbing the part of his neck where his throat is.

Eri: (Looks over at Toshiro) You alright?

Toshiro/Patriot: Much better now that I know you're okay.

Eri: I'm more than okay. I feel absolutely reinvigorated. I can actually walk without a cane thanks to this thing around my leg.

Toshiro/Patriot: You look a lot like Erina. (Eyes his girlfriend up and down) Although you're definitely wearing it better.

Eri smiles and blows a kiss Toshiro's way, making him feel loved.

Makoto/Queen: I can appreciate that you two are happy to be ruined, but we've still got a Falldown Thief to defeat!

The nine Phantom Thieves, with Futaba still in Necronomicon, look at Homelander-Patriot as more Shadow Policemen and Riot Shield Shadows come to his aid.

Sumire/Violet: You think we can beat him?

Futaba/Oracle: We can if I do this. (Uses Matarukaja to increase her eight allies strength) Knock him dead, guys!

(BGM: 'Hot Wind Blowing' from Metal Gear Rising)

The Phantom Thieves take their weapons out as Homelander-Patriot and his men are ready to continue fighting. Not only that, but a few Shadow Cars join the battle.

Homelander-Patriot: Shadows, attack!

The Shadow Policemen and Riot Shield Shadows charge at the Phantom Thieves, and they waste no time in fighting back.

Ichiro takes his Meteor Hammer and whacks some Shadow Policemen in the face before hitting a Riot Shield Shadow's shield so hard that it breaks. Ichiro then takes his sniper and shoots the Riot Shield Shadow at point blank range.

Sumire clashes with a Shadow Policeman. She swings her sword so hard that it breaks the Policeman's nightstick in two. The Shadow looks at the Phantom Thief in fear before getting impaled through the stomach by her sword.

With Makoto, she looks to see some of the Shadow Cars going after her.

Makoto/Queen: You Motor Miscreants aren't going to get me again! JOHANNA!

Makoto summons her bike Persona and uses Flash Bomb, causing the Shadow Cars to go blind and crash into each other. With the Shadow Cars in a pile, Johanna then uses Freidyne on the demonic pile-up to ensure their defeat.

With Sojiro, a Shadow Car tries to grab him with this seat belt. As the middle aged thief gets lifted into the air, he takes out his sword and cuts the seat belt off, freeing him as he lands on his feet.

Sojiro/Chief: CYRUS!

When Sojiro summons Cyrus, he has him use Makouga on the Shadow Car, defeating it. Furthermore, some Shadow Policemen were in the area and they got taken out by the blast too.

Ren, Remus, Toshiro, and Eri are fighting together, taking on the bulk of the Shadow Policemen, Riot Shield Shadows, and Shadow Cars without even needing their Personas.

Remus hits any Shadows in the face with a blast from his flare gun before knocking their lights out with his nunchucks.

Ren is smart enough to attack the Riot Shield Shadows when they attempt to attack by firing their guns, allowing him to shoot at their shooting arm, hurting and dazing them long enough for the lead thief to finish them off with a stab with his knife.

Toshiro is also good with his pistols as he shoots the Shadow Cars' tires with his guns before stabbing them in their engines hard with his spears, defeating them.

Eri swings her new Chain Swords at the remaining Shadow Policemen and Riot Shield Shadows. In the case of the latter enemy, Eri swings her swords to hard that they actually knock the shields out of the Shadows' arms, giving Eri ample time to cut them to ribbons.

Homelander-Patriot watches his army biting the dust, and he decides to do something about it.

Homelander-Patriot: Perhaps it's time for me to retreat.

Homelander-Patriot takes out his remote control, ready to shift the layout of the city again so he can escape. But when he presses the button, nothing happens.

Homelander-Patriot: What?! What's going on?! Why aren't you working?!

Minato/Lion: Ahem!

Homelander-Patriot looks up at the roof of City Hall to see the group of Minato, Akechi, Sputnik, Kimiko, Ichiko, Kas, Sophia, Eiko, Ryuta, Sae, Kaoru, Takeishi, Riku, and Mai looking down at him. He sees that in Minato's arms is the seal used to power the very device he uses to shift the city.

Minato/Lion: You can't shuffle the city around without this baby! (Holds up the seal)

Homelander-Patriot: THAT'S IT!

Homelander-Patriot uses all of his strength to punch the ground so hard that it causes an earthquake. The Phantom Thieves and hiding Non-Thieves brace themselves as the ground starts to shift and break apart around them. Meanwhile, the group on the City Hall roof struggle to maintain their footing and they run the risk of falling off. Futaba, still in the Necronomicon, sees this, and hurries over to them.

Just as City Hall crumbles beneath Minato and his group, Futaba appears and the tentacles come out of Necronomicon to grab the 14 heroes.

Futaba/Oracle: (As her Persona's tentacles grab Minato and his group) Got you! Got you! Got you!

Ren/Joker: Nice going Oracle! (Looks at Homelander-Patriot alongside Toshiro and Eri) Now let's finish this!

With a roar, Homelander-Patriot fires his Kouga eye beams at Ren, Toshiro, and Eri, and the three of them dodge. Homelander continues to fire his beams at the three incoming Phantom Thieves as they continue to dodge, using pieces of the broken ground as platforms to leap from.

When the three Phantom Thieves get in close, Homelander-Toshiro is about to fire another eye beam, but Eri and Ren quickly appear in front of him as they summon their Personas.

Eri: JOAN OF ARC!

Ren/Joker: SURT!

The two Personas appear just as Homelander-Toshiro fires a Kouga eye-beam. The two Personas fire an Agidyne that easily overpowers the eye-beam in a Beam-O-War. Homelander-Toshiro leaps out of the way of the incoming fire as Ren and Eri leap through the flames and punch the Falldown Thief hard in the face, dazing him for a good amount of time.

Eri: Toshiro, now!

Eri and Ren get out of the way as Toshiro loads a Healing Shot into his pistol. By the time Homelander-Patriot gets his bearings straight, it's already too late for him.

Toshiro/Patriot: For true justice!

Toshiro fires the Healing Shot and it nails Homelander-Patriot square in the chest, a golden aura surrounding the Falldown Thief as his heart changes from the inside out.

Homelander-Patriot: (Yells in pain) PHANTOMS!

(End BGM)

Once the golden aura disappears, Homelander-Patriot turns back into Falldown Toshiro. The Falldown Thief passes out from the experience as an orb containing the Persona of Homelander is all that remains of the evil thief's fusion form. The orb flies off into the sky, hopefully never to be seen again…hopefully.

All of the Phantom Thieves and Non-Thieves walk over to the unconscious Falldown Toshiro, with Futaba putting the group of Minato, Akechi, Sputnik, Kimiko, Ichiko, Kas, Sophia, Eiko, Ryuta, Sae, Kaoru, Takeishi, Riku, and Mai down before disembarking from Necronomicon.

Eiko: (Looks at Falldown Toshiro and her friends) Looks like all's well that ends well. We're back together, we took care of Toshiro's evil counterpart, and we managed to take our next seal. Pretty good day all around.

Sputnik/Jinx: We could've done without your vomiting in the sewers, but other than that I'm going to have to agree with you.

Just then, Falldown Toshiro awakens from unconsciousness and he stares up at the 29 heroes surrounding him.

Falldown Toshiro/Patriot: Where am I? What happened?

Toshiro/Patriot: You had yourself one wild ride, but it's all over now.

Ren/Joker: Your heart has been changed. You can go home now.

Falldown Toshiro/Patriot: (Looks down on the ground) I don't think there's a home for me to run to.

Falldown Toshiro stands up as he looks Ren, Eri, and his good counterpart in the eye.

Falldown Toshiro/Patriot: Look at what I've done. I've killed so many people; Nakabachi-sama, Marie, my own father, and how knows how many more beyond that. I know what they did to me and my Eri was wrong, but by resorting to murder, it makes me no better than them. (Looks at Eri) You were right. Wherever my Eri is right now, she must be so disappointed in my. Murder is not true justice, I see that now.

Makoto/Queen: From the way it sounds, it sounds like you were desperate to avenge your universe's version of Eri and to get back at those who wronged you. You met the other Falldown Thieves, and in a moment of weakness, you took the easiest avenue to get that revenge.

Falldown Toshiro/Patriot: Yes. (Looks at Ren) Your evil counterpart was quite the smooth talker. He told me everything I wanted to hear and he knew that I was desperate. He prayed on my anger and desperation, leading me to become the villain you know today.

Ren/Joker: You can still make things right, you know. By changing your heart, we've given you the equivalent of a second chance. Use it by being a good person. Find a network of good friends and live your life to the fullest while still striving to be the best version of yourself that you can be.

Falldown Toshiro/Patriot: Thank you. I'll do that. I'm sorry for giving you all a hard time, and I'm especially sorry for calling you a cripple, Eri.

Eri: It's fine. Just don't do it again…(Jokingly raises one of her chain swords)...or I'll get you!

Falldown Toshiro laughs at Eri's joke, causing her to laugh along. As they laughed, a portal appears that shows the city of Tokyo; it's the Falldown Timeline.

Falldown Toshiro/Patriot: My home.

Toshiro/Patriot: Go, Toshiro. Make your universe a better place. Your Eri would be so proud of you if you did.

Falldown Toshiro/Patriot: For her sake, I'll spend the rest of my days doing just that. Goodbye, Phantom Thieves. I hope our paths cross again.

Eri: If they do, tell us all about the good you've done for your universe.

Falldown Toshiro/Patriot: (Smiles) You got it.

Falldown Toshiro walks through the portal to his universe and once he's through, the portal closes.

Kas/Crash: Well, that's one less Falldown Thief we have to worry about.

Ichiko/Flapper: So, before we break this seal, you guys want to give a name to our new Phantom Thief?

Eri: What did you guys have in mind?

Futaba/Oracle: Hmm…(Eyes Eri up and down) 'Erina the Sequel'?

Everyone just looks at Futaba with unimpressed looks.

Futaba/Oracle: Yeah, that sounded a lot cooler in my head.

Kana: I'm your best friend, Futaba, but even I have to admit that was weak.

Eri: Well, what do you guys think of 'Partisan'.

Remus/Tricky: Parmesan? There is nothing cheesy about you.

Eri: Not Parmeasan, Partisan; a strong supporter of a party, cause, and/or person. Well, I'm a strong supporter of the Phantom Thief Party, and their cause to change the hearts of the wicked and save the multiverse, and I am a big time supporter of my beau, Toshiro. (Brings Toshiro into a hug and kisses his cheek)

Toshiro/Patriot: (Blushes) Aww.

Ren/Joker: It fits. Welcome to the group, Partisan.

Eri/Partisan: The pleasure is all mine. Now hand me that seal so we can take more power away from Hoshigami.

Minato/Lion: (Places the seal down and props it up on a nearby piece of rubel) Do the honors.

Eri steps back and throws one of her chain swords at the seal, breaking it in two. Upon being broken, a yellow light emanates from the broken seal, covering our heroes once again as they find themselves trapped in another one of Hoshigami's Memories.

With the 14 Human Phantom Thieves out of their attire and back in some street clothes, (Eri is somehow back in her regular clothes despite wearing a towel prior to her transformation) the group of 29 find themselves standing on the sidewalk in the middle of the night as a big house stands before them.

Takeishi: Those are some nice digs.

Sojiro: It's my childhood home!

Kana: You used to live in a house like this?! What did your parents do for work?

Sojiro: They both had successful jobs in the government as computer engineers. They're kind of the reason why my original career path was with the government.

Yutaka: Dang, maybe I should look into getting a government job one day. (Looks at Nayoko; to himself) Then maybe Nayoko will love me.

Futaba: So, Sojiro, do you remember this day at all?

Sojiro: I think I do. (He looks up at a window placed above the house's attached garage and points at it) I think Ugetsu and I are going to come out of my room through that window there.

True to what Sojiro says, they next see Young Sojiro and Young Hoshigami stepping out of the window and onto the roof of the attached garage, a blanket and telescope in tow.

Young Hoshigami: I've never had anybody to go stargazing with before. Thanks for doing this with me, Sojiro.

Young Sojiro: Hey, the more you teach me about the stars and the planets the more interesting they sound to me.

Young Hoshigami: Alright, let's see if we have all the essentials; telescope, blanket, and snacks.

Young Sojiro: Check, check, and check, good buddy.

Young Hoshigami: (Finishes setting up the telescope) Good, good, good! Telescope is all set! Time to gaze at some stars!

The group of 29 look up at the garage roof, watching the two young boys stargazing session.

Kimiko: Hoshigami reminds me a lot of Kaito. A scientist by trade, whenever he's not spending time with me or the boys, he's always looking into the night sky with his telescope. There are times when I join him in stargazing, and I do have to agree that there's nothing more beautiful than a starlit night.

Ren: (Looks at the two young boys bonding on the roof) You two really were the best of friends, weren't you Sojiro?

Sojiro: (Somberly) Yeah…we sure were, Ren.

The group continues to watch the memory play out.

Young Sojiro: Boy, there sure are a lot of stars out tonight.

Young Hoshigami: I know. Isn't it beautiful? Hey, you want to hear something really cool, Sojiro?

Young Sojiro: Hmm?

Young Hoshigami: They say that each star in the sky is another universe parallel to this one.

Young Sojiro: You think so?

Young Hoshigami: I hope so. It would be so cool just knowing that somewhere out there are two boys just like us, looking at us from the roof of their garage. If there are other universes out there, I want to go to them. See what they're like and socialize with the people there.

Young Sojiro: (Chuckles) You sure do know how to dream big, Ugetsu.

Young Hoshigami: Dreams are how people achieve great things, Sojiro. If you have the will and the ability to make your dreams a reality, go forth and do it!

Young Sojiro: I'll tell you one thing, Ugetsu. If your plans of being a scientist fall through, you have a promising career as a motivational speaker, because that was beautiful.

Young Hoshigami: (Smiles) Thanks, Sojiro. (Looks back up at the sky) I will make my dreams a reality one day. And when I do, I want everyone to be a part of it.

Just then a shooting star shoots across the sky in a streak of light, causing the young boys on the roof and our 29 heroes to gasp.

Young Hoshigami: I saw a shooting star!

Young Sojiro: You've gotta make a wish now, buddy!

Young Hoshigami: Oh, I don't know what to wish for though?

Young Sojiro: Just wish for anything. The first thing that comes to mind, what would it be?

Our 29 heroes wait with baited breath to see what Young Hoshigami's wish was going to be. But that's when another yellow flash of light envelops them to take them out of the memory. Thankfully, before they were teleoprted out of the memory, they heard Young Hoshigami's wish.

Young Hoshigami: I wish things would stay like this between us forever, Sojiro.

(Woodlands of Denial - Falldown Toshiro's City - Uptown)

When the yellow light disappears, the Group of 29 find themselves in the street of the city fortress' Uptown District. Having relived this most recent memory of Hoshigami's, Sojiro places a hand over his heart as he sadly looks down at the ground.

Sojiro: I wish things could've stayed the same between us too, Ugetsu.

Futaba and Wakaba see the sad Sojiro, and they both rub his soldiers.

Futaba: It'll be okay, dad.

Wakaba: We're going to change Hoshigami's heart once we break all of his seals. And then, you and him can pick up where you two left off.

Sojiro: I sure hope so, girls.

Ryuta: (Looks around) So, why are we still in Falldown Toshiro's City Fortress? I thought we'd be transported out of here after witnessing that memory.

Ren: Well the good news is that we're out of our Phantom Thief attire, meaning there are no Shadows nearby.

Akechi: They probably heard that Falldown Toshiro has been defeated and evacuated the area, proving that those freaks are capable of thought.

Sae: It looks like we're going to have to escape from this city ourselves. Sputnik, Remus, let's go.

The humans look to see the two Poppets completely exhausted, eyes half open.

Remus/Tricky: This was by far the most eventful day we've had so far. We can't turn into our vehicle forms under these conditions.

Takeishi: Well, great, what are we supposed to do now?

Kana: Hey, guys, look over there!

Everyone looks in the direction where Kana was pointing, revealing a luxurious five star resort.

Ichiko: A five star resort and no Shadows in sight to stop us!

Yutaka: You know what they say, while the Shadows are away the Thieves will play!

Nayoko: Took the words out of my mouth, Yutaka. (Takes Yutaka by the hand) Come on, let's go!

Yutaka and Nayoko run into the hotel as the rest of the group follow behind, ready for an evening of pampering after dealing with so much.

(Woodlands of Denial - Falldown Toshiro's City - Five Star Resort)

After finding a back-up generator to the hotel (The seal was powering most if not all of the City Fortress), the group of 29 wasted no time in exploring the hotel and having a fun night.

The hotel came with a dining hall with hibachi style grills. Here we see Sojiro cooking some steak and seafood on the grill as Sumire, Ichiro, Kas, Minato, Kimiko, and Akihiro watch the show. They watch as Sojiro made a volcano out of onion slices before gracefully cutting up the steak and lobster. Sometime later, Sojiro presents the six before him with their meal.

Sojiro: Dinner is served!

Sumire, Ichiro, Kas, Minato, Kimiko, and Akihiro: Hail to the chef! (They proceed to devour the beautifully prepared meal)

In the adjoining room was a bar where we see Ichiko, Takeishi, Takemi, and Wakaba helping themselves to cocktails.

Another room has an olympic sized swimming pool that the likes of Riku, Mai, Nayoko, and Yutaka waste no time in swimming in. Riku is wearing a pear of dark blue swim trunks with light blue flowers. Mai is wearing a white skirted bikini with cerulean polka-dots. Nayoko is wearing a black-and-purple bikini. Yutaka is wearing a pair of black swim trunks with red and orange flames on them.

Riku: Cannonball! (Leaps into the pool, making a big splash)

Mai: Hey, watch it, you almost jumped on me!

Nayoko and Yutaka see this spectacle and laugh. Then, when Yutaka wasn't looking, Nayoko splashed the teenage boy right in the face.

Yutaka: Hey! (He sees Nayoko chuckling; teasingly) Oh, you're so gonna get it!

Yutaka splashes Nayoko, prompting her to splash back. The two teens continue to laugh amongst their frolicking as, not far from the pool, we see Sae and Sputnik relaxing in a jacuzzi with Remus nestled in his shell taking a nap on a pool chair. Sae is wearing a silver sequined bikini and sipping on a glass of champagne while Sputnik chews on a carrot in the same manner one would chomp on a cigar.

Sae: (To the four in the pool) Hey, keep it down over there!

Sputnik/Jinx: (Relaxed) Mmm, now this is the life, isn't it Remus?

Remus/Tricky: (Snores) More marshmallows please.

Another part of the resort has an arcade where we see Kana and Futaba playing 'Gun About VII: The Crackdown'.

Futaba: I can't believe there exists a universe where a Gun About VII exists. Our universe doesn't even Gun About III yet.

Kana: The multiverse is a truly marvelous thing.

Not far from where the two girls were playing, we see Sophia and Ryuta are singing karaoke as Kaoru, Takeishi, and Eiko watch.

Ryuta: (Singing) If her daddy's rich, take her out for a meal.

Sophia: (Singing) If his mommy's poor, just do what you feel.

Ryuta: (Singing) Speed along the lane. Do a ton or a ton and twenty-five.

Sophia: (Singing) When the sun goes down, you can make it good, make it good in a lay-by.

Takeishi: Hey when you two are done, I want to go next.

Kaoru: (Sighs before turning to Eiko) For an android, Sophia has the voice of an angel, doesn't she?

Eiko nods in agreement.

While all that was going on, we cut to Ren and Makoto, who were taking a stroll through the rooftop garden of the resort.

Makoto: It's so beautiful up here, Ren.

Ren: It really is, Makoto, but you're prettier.

Makoto: (Playfully nudges him) Well aren't you the smooth talker.

Ren: It's one of the many things you love about me.

Makoto: True. (She looks out over the distance to see a perfect view of the City Fortress) Wow, Ren, look at that.

Makoto and Ren walk over to the edge to take in the gorgeous view.

Makoto: For an Eldritch Location, this place doesn't look half bad.

Ren: (Nods in agreement before looking down at how high they are) Man, being this high up reminds me of when I went on a class trip to New York City during my freshman year of high school, and the room I stayed at was near the top floor. I had to use the bathroom one night, but since I was still half-asleep I wasn't paying attention to where I was going and I ended up walking out to the balcony where I promptly peed off the side and onto the street below.

Makoto: (Laughs from hearing this story) That's a new one.

Ren: (Blushes in embarrassment) It's a story I don't really like to talk about that often.

Makoto: I think I can top you. I snacked on some pork rinds one night a few years ago before bed, and I woke up the next morning in Inokashira Park clad in nothing but my underwear. It was so embarrassing, and it was a miracle that I not only made it back home before Sae woke up, but without anybody seeing me half-naked.

Ren: (Laughs at Makoto's story) Wow, Makoto, that was wild.

Makoto: Suffice it to say, I never ate pork rinds before bed ever again.

Ren: And I always make sure to stay in rooms on lower floors of whatever hotel I'm staying at. (He and Makoto chuckle some more) I'm glad we can tell each other these things, Makoto.

Makoto: You're my boyfriend, Ren. You bullshit is my bullshit and vice versa. We should be more than comfortable telling each other our deepest darkest secrets.

Ren: Yeah. Out of all our friends, you're the person I trust the most. I love you, Makoto.

Makoto: I love you too, Ren.

Ren and Makoto are about to kiss when Toshiro and Eri enter. The younger couple sees the older couple and they turn to face them.

Makoto: Hey, guys.

Eri: So sorry, were we interrupting?

Ren: Maybe a little.

Eri: Sorry. Toshiro just wanted to get me alone so he can talk to me about something.

Ren: We understand. Makoto and I will give you two some alone time.

Ren and Makoto proceed to make their leave, but once they're back inside the hotel, they hide against the wall and leave the door open ajar so they can hear what's going on.

Eri: What's on your mind, Toshiro?

Toshiro: I just wanted to bring you here so I can tell you something. I wanted to talk to you back home in the Koishikawa Botanical Garden, because I know how much you love that place, but we got dragged into this mission to save the multiverse and whatnot, so those plans fell through.

Eri: Plans? What are you talking about?

Toshiro: You see Eri, you and I have been lovers for a long time, and best friends for an even longer time. It wasn't until recently when I started to wonder if we could potentially grow into something more.

Eri: (Having an idea where this is going; a blush appearing on her cheeks) Toshiro…

Toshiro: There comes a time when a man wants to settle down with the woman he calls his best friend, his confidant, and his one true love. No one knows me like you do, just like no one knows you like I do, and I feel like I've grown so much as a person because I had you in my life. You're the reason for the man I've become today, and the reason for everything that's good in my life. I could think of no better way of thanking you than by doing this.

Toshiro gets down on one knee as Eri's eyes widen and she covers her mouth with her right hand. Toshiro reaches into his pocket to take out the wedding ring from earlier.

Toshiro: Eri Natsuhara, will you do me the honor of being my wife?

Eri: T-Toshiro! Yes! Are you- yes, yes, a thousand times yes!

Ren and Makoto's hearts melt from hearing Eri's answer. They watch as Toshiro gently places the ring on Eri's finger. Eri looks at the ring in awe before looking back into Toshiro's eyes.

Eri: I'll never forget this day. The day I became a Phantom Thief, and the day you popped the question.

Toshiro: This is a day that I'll cherish forever too, my love. I love you so much.

Eri: I love you too Toshiro.

Toshiro and Eri kiss each other, practically melting in each other's embrace. Ren and Makoto look at each other warmly, happy that they were able to bear witness to such a joyous moment.

(Opening instrumentals)

In the real world, we see the likes of Ren, Minato, and Akechi sitting side by side on a train in Tokyo. Ren is looking at his phone, Minato is leaning back in his seat with his eyes closed, and Akechi is looking down at the floor lost in thought.

The train goes through a tunnel and on the other side is the Metaverse. The train stops at a train station in the Metaverse as Ren, Minato, and Akechi, now Joker, Lion, and Crow, walk out. The three Phantom Thieves walk off the train and past their Phantom Thief allies who got to the station before them. They stop when they leave the train station and stare into the distance at Hoshigami's Kingdom of Acceptance.

(Kawaita kokoro de kakenukeru. Gomen ne nanimo dekinakute)

First, in the Isles of Depression, we see Ren, Minato, and Akechi sitting by a campfire on the shore of one of the islands. With the three of them are Ryuji, Ann, Makoto, Morgana, Yusuke, Haru, Futaba, Kana, Sojiro, Kana, Wakaba, Sumire, Ichiro, Sae, and Chikao. The 18 of them are sitting by the fire and talking into the night.

Next, in the Desert of Anger, we see Ren, Minato, and Akechi riding through the arid landscape inside Sputnik's Ford Transit form. Also inside the van are Ryuta, Daisuke, Naoya, Kazuya, Sadayo, Eiko, Toshiro, Eri, Ichiko, Takeishi, Chihaya, and Nakaoka. They're not saying anything as they're either keeping their eyes locked on what's in front of them, or staring out one of the side windows.

(Itami wo wakachiau koto sae. Anata wa yurushite kurenai)

In the Woodlands of Denial, we see Ren, Minato, and Akechi hiding out in the treetops. Also hanging out in the treetops with them are Kimiko, Nariko, Kaito, Mana, Mitsu, Himari, Hotaru, Remus, Takemi, Riku, Mai, Akihiro, Yutaka, Nayoko, and Kas. The group is staring up at the colorful skies of the New Metaverse as they sit and lay on the branches.

In the Tundra of Bargaining, we see Ren, Minato, and Akechi hiding from a blizzard in a cave. In the cave with them is Kunikazu, Old Morgana, Mika, Shiho, Yuuki, Hayato, Hifumi, Kaoru, Sophia, Shinya, Zenkichi, Akane, and Wataru. Kunikazu is making everyone a beef stew while everyone cuddles for warmth. In particular, we see Kaoru cuddling next to Sophia, burying his face in her floofy sweater.

(Muku ni ikiru tame furimukazu. Senaka mukete satteshimau on the lonely rail)

From there, we cut to Philemon's Village of Hope where the Multiversal Phantom Thieves, who at this point are only shown in silhouettes, cheer for the group of Philemon, Lavenza, Margaret, Elizabeth, Theodore, Merope, and the Phantom Thieves of 'P5X'; Wonder, Wind, Soy, Closer, and Cattle. The group look at the crowd of Multiversal Thieves and smile their adoration.

In the Kingdom of Acceptance, the same thing is happening, only it's the group of Multiversal Shadows cheering for Hoshigami, Claudette, Sugimura, and the Falldown Thieves. We get a zoom in on Hoshigami as he smirks evilly at the crowd of Shadow's before him.

(Watashi tsuiteiku yo. Donna tsurai sekai no yami no naka de sae. Kitto anata wa kagayaite)

Ren, Minato, and Akechi, back in their Joker, Lion, and Crow aliases, are making the charge towards the Kingdom of Acceptance. As they charge forward, they encounter the Falldown Thieves, Sugimura, Claudette, and groups of Shadows. While the three Phantom Thieves do a good job taking them out with their weapons and Personas, in the background we see the other Phantom Thieves in the middle of their own battles. Some of them even lend Joker, Lion, and Crow a helping hand as they continue their advance towards the Kingdom of Acceptance.

(Koeru mirai no hate. Yowasa yue ni tamashii kowasarenu you ni My way kasanaru yo Ima futari ni God bless…)

Joker, Lion, and Crow finally make it to the gates of the Kingdom of Acceptance where it turns out the group of Wonder, Wind, Soy, Closer, and Cattle have beat them there. The three Phantom Thieves stand with this new group as the gates open up to reveal Hoshigami himself. Using the Construct Crystal on his staff, he turns said staff into a scythe and creates a shield. The eight Phantom Thieves take their weapons out and summon their Personas, ready to fight as the camera pans up to the sky.

The song and credits end with the logo of 'Persona 5: From Metaverse to Multiverse' appearing in the sky.
