As a bonding activity for the hotel, Charlie figured that everyone in the hotel could go to earth for at least a week. Lucifer tags along on the trip. Charlie randomly picked New York for the bonding activity which Angel was not too excited about, seeing as how he grew up there before he landed in Hell.
