Jordan's POV

I woke up stretching looking at my phone. Paul had said last night that my father had been called out on a call with one of the other members and that we had to go over to see Lou to get my meds this morning. I glanced out my window seeing a large black wolf just resting there at the edge of the forest.

Texting Paul to come into my room really quickly with a smile.

He smiled as he walked in, his hair was all over the place coming to the window to stand beside me looking out at the wolf. When he paled and glanced down at his phone, seeing what time it was and showing me, it read 7:45am.

"We should have been over to Emily's by now. We slept in. That is Sam, probably hungry and pissed because he wants to eat, and Emily won't allow it until we are all there."

I nodded grabbing my phone and typing into it. 'Tell him I need to change then go get my meds from Lou then we will be over there. 30 min tops.'

He nodded before leaving the room and heading outside. I knew I didn't have time for a shower but for right now it would be completely fine. I threw on some clothes, mainly just jeans, t shirt and sweatshirt to head over to Spike's then Emily's places. By the time I was pulling my hair up into a really messy bun Paul was back.

He smiled. "Ready to get going?"

I nodded. We walked out the door. I locked it before we started walking towards Spike and Lou's place so I could talk. Pulling out my phone I sent a quick text to Jake making sure he was still on to go for the walk this morning on the beach to be able to explain to us what happened the other day and me being basically forced to listen to him.

The walk was really short over to Spike's place. When we made it to the door I knocked once and then headed inside. Paul gave me a funny look as we made it into kitchen. Lou was standing there looking at me.

"Do we have to go to the bathroom or are you willing to do it right here?"

Paul smiled at them. "She can do it in front of me, don't worry she has made Wordy do it in front of me before same with Sam."

Lou looked at me as he got the liquid into the syringe for me handing it to me. I placed the thing into my mouth trying to not let it touch my tongue before squirting it down my throat. A shiver went up my spine before I handed it back to Lou and looked at Spike.

"No mishaps with Baby Cakes again?"

He shook his head. "Though team 4 tried to take it out but it wouldn't go they called and said there was something wrong with the remote."

I giggled for a second. "I put a key for the remote. I gave you a copy of it remember. That was after the situation last weekend when team 3 took it out and got it shot."

Paul looked at me. "Is that what Wordy meant when he said that team 3 wouldn't agree with you being able to talk that day?"

I nodded. "Yep. Cause the head of the tech room has a swear jar. And usually, I am pretty good but when I am trying to fix Baby Cakes it is really hard to keep my words under control so if I am in there for any other team besides my dad's when a swear word comes out of my mouth that team has to pay for it instead of me." I glanced at my phone seeing that Jake had gotten back to me saying that it would be fine for us to go for a walk after breakfast. "I'd hate to just bounce but we really need to get over to Emily's for breakfast. We kind of slept in this morning."

Lou looked at his watch. "Ya you did. Was the date too much for the both of you last night?"

I laughed for a second pulling Paul to the door. We started making our way over to Emily's place. "Was Sam mad about us sleeping in?"

Paul shook his head. "No, he was just worried that something had gone wrong last night with me telling you about what we are. Kim and Emily didn't react all that well to find out, and with what Sam knows about your temper he was concerned. I guess he didn't talk to Jake or Quil about it though because they were phased when I went to show you the silver wolf and they knew everything went fine."

I nodded. If they can hear each other's thoughts. That thought alone made me scared, most of the time I had been fine sharing things with Paul or Jake but now I didn't know. The walk we were going on today would possibly answer a few questions, but it might leave me with more. I stopped walking when we got to the edge of Sam's laneway nothing could make me take another step. Paul turned when he was a few steps ahead of me turning back to look at me.

"What is it?" He sounded concerned.

"Guess it just hit me that anything I have shared with you or Jake that everyone would know. I don't know if I can go inside, I can't have everyone looking at me differently."

"Sam would never ask us to share that stuff. We have a way that we can block things, like block him from hearing certain thoughts. Jake has worked really hard to find a way to keep everything from that day hidden. I don't even know what you said, and lately Leah has only been patrolling with Jake until she can be sure that nothing will come out by accident."

I shook my head, going down onto my knees. I couldn't face everyone even if I tried right now.

The door opened and then closed. I didn't look up, I didn't want to see who had managed to come outside to see me breaking down like this. Paul was very close, hugging up against me as he just took the tears not knowing what to do to help me through this.

"Everything okay out here?" Embry asked. He was closer than I expected him to be, but it was probably the best choice of people.

I felt Paul nod before he told Embry. "It just hit her about the telepathy."

Embry laughed for a second forcing me to look up at him. "Oh, believe me we can keep a lot hidden from Sam. That is why he didn't know what happened that morning with me being all cute in your yard. He had ordered us not to get too close to you. Our eyes don't change when we are wolves, and he was worried you would have recognized us. Believe me I would be in a ton of shit if he ever found out I was that close to you."

"Really?" I asked.

He nodded. "You don't trust me?" He sounded hurt, but when I didn't answer him, he turned back towards the house. "Jake come out please." He yelled back.

When Jake walked out, he ran towards us, "What's up? Everything okay, Jordan what are you doing kneeling on the grass you are going to get all wet."

"What was Sam's one order to us until Paul had managed to tell Jordan the truth?" Embry asked winking at me.

Jake turned to Embry. "Don't tell me you broke it?"

Embry shrugged. "Just tell her, then maybe we can convince her to go inside and make up her plate for breakfast so the rest of us can eat."

Jake glared at Embry. "That we weren't supposed to get close enough to Jordan that she might be able to recognize us through our eyes." He glared between Paul and Embry. "Did you get close enough to her to do that?"

Embry gave me a helpless look, with a smile I stood up brushing off my jeans. "I'm starving." I declared before grabbing Embry and Paul and walking for the house.

After getting my food I sat down at the table. Embry came and sat beside me making sure that sure that Paul could sit on my other side. "Thanks for that, if he ever found out my ass would be kicked for it. Though the point is mut now as you know about all this."

Sam came to the table grabbing everyone's attention. "Once again everyone here knows about our little secret. Jordan, I am very glad to finally welcome you into this family. I will now be able to reverse my ruling about allowing you to get close to Jordan when you are phased."

My eyes grew big. If he can just do that without thought what is there to make sure that he keeps his word about never asking to know about what I had shared that day. But before I could get up Embry leaned over to my ear. "He would never reverse an order unless it was for the betterment of everyone, that was just to make it easier for us. Since that day when your uncle showed up, we have been on high alert but also having to be careful about what you see."

I nodded to him before leaning up against Paul, Kim had a funny smirk on her face as if she really wanted to have some girl talk. She just kept glancing at me then to the kitchen then to Leah and back to the kitchen.

When we were done eating, I went to help Emily with clean up before turning to her. "Sam has never asked about our chat last weekend, has he?"

Emily shook her head. "Your father asked about it. Wanting to know how far into the story you had been able to go. But that was Monday morning. It is partially what happened during a meeting that allowed Jake to join you for your session this week."

I nodded. "He knew everything anyway so that doesn't matter."

Emily smiled. "If you are concerned about the telepathy, you have to know that they can hide certain things. If they couldn't I'm sure they would be a lot hornier cause the way Jared and Sam are."

I covered my mouth from laughing to loudly. I would have expected a comment like that from Kim but certainly not from Emily.

Jake came to the door of the kitchen with a smile. "You ready to go on that walk on the beach now?" he said with a smile.

I nodded. "Paul and Embry coming?" I asked him.

He nodded. "Already outside having some fun." He smiled as he led me outside to where the two were arguing about something. "I meant it when I said they were having fun. They are arguing over who you think is the cutest wolf out of all of us."

I gave him a funny look before walking up to Paul and kissing him. "Paul then Embry. I don't know who else beside Quil I have seen. Well Sam but I can't comment on that."

Paul laughed for a second before hugging me. "You chat with Leah at all about the other thing?" He asked Jake.

Jake nodded. "Not that she could really give me any insight with what happened with her. She had limited her access to Sam and so had Seth until they turned."

Paul nodded. "So, it is going to be a mystery just like it was with Embry." He winked at Embry happily as we started walking for the beach.

Jake turned to me. "Okay, Jordan, you said you wanted to find out why certain things were happening. I can only promise that we will answer them to the best of our abilities."

I put my hands on my hips playfully glaring at him. "You mean to tell me you don't have all the answers to everything?"

Embry turned to look at me then almost fell over because he started laughing so much. But Jake led us over to a small group of logs that were sitting there.

"So, what happens when I use my alpha voice on you? What do you feel?"

I looked at him. Confused by his question. "What do you mean how do I feel?"

Embry leaned forward. "Sam has never tried using his on you. But we suspect the results would be the same. The other day when you ran into the bathroom and Jake ordered you to unlock it, what were you feeling?"

I shut my eyes thinking about that day. "I was angry that my father had broken the rules. That he came in to talk to me but barely said two words to me until he informed me that Paul was coming over. I ran for the bathroom because it was the only real safe place to hide, I knew that Lou would ask too many questions if he came over before he unlocked the door. Then Jake came to the door and asked me to unlock it."

Embry nodded. "Yes, that moment. When he asked you to unlock it, concentrate on what did you feel at that second."

I looked at Paul for a second. Before shaking my head at them. "Nope not saying that."

Jake nodded. "Okay. The time in the hallway at school. You were about argue with me that you should be allowed to walk around the hallways alone. For me it felt like you were trying to push the boundaries that were set. I hadn't planned on using that power on you, it was as if a part of you pulled out when you tried to walk away from me."

I breathed for a second. "I have this defiant side. Most of the time it stays behind closed doors, usually only coming out when it really needs to. During that time, I was kind of on the fence of letting it come out in the hallway. But it felt like I was being forced to lock it back in a cage. But I knew that if I had pushed it the amount of power that would have come out would have been massively strong."

Paul nodded. "But that was just after she came here. Could it be stronger now?" He looked at Jake.

Jake nodded. "The Cullens have been back in the area. Vampires back in the area, there is a chance that almost everyone could get stronger. But that first time was when there was a vampire in the area."

"What are you saying?" I asked them.

Embry looked at me. "Jake has had an idea that you are like us. Regular imprints don't react the way you do to the alpha voice. What Jake can do to you, he would never be able to do to Claire or Kim or Emily though it is the way Leah reacts to it. Though Leah phased when her father died, we don't know what it is going to be like for you. Jake and Paul were thinking it might be like it was when I phased for the first time. Now Paul knows what that was like for me, but Jake hadn't joined yet."

I blinked at him a few times. "You think I am going to turn into a wolf. Who came up with that idea and when did you come up with it? Life has been very shaky for me lately, in fact it has been shaky since I got here."

Jake nodded. "We know. But you become alert when we use that voice. Sam tried it out this morning because I asked him to. When he called everyone's attention do you remember how you reacted?"

I thought back that was just over 2 hours ago. "It was as if part of me could not ignore him even if I had wanted to. I mean Paul was sitting right beside me and he is a good enough distraction most of the time when I need one." I smiled up at him.

Jake smiled. "However, the bad thing with this is that there is nothing written anywhere about it so until something actually happens to you all we can do is speculate about what the cause really is."

I nodded. "So, it is a wait and see type of a thing?"

Embry nodded. "But if ever you aren't feeling well, we need to know. If you are feeling hot like you have a fever, that is were it is probably going to start. I know you them sometimes because of the medication you have to take when you have a night terror, but we need to know."

"I have another question, who is Claire?"

Embry laughed. "Well, that is a very big story Quil imprinted on Emily's niece when Emily was babysitting her a while back. That is why Quil hasn't been with anyone at school it is simply because he has everything, he needs in her. Granted it is going to take some time, but she is 4 now so give it a few years and she will be brought into the world."

I nodded. "And that is one of the reasons why Kate has been a really big bitch lately? Because Quil isn't giving her the time of day, I mean according to Kim she has really gotten worse in the past few months."

Jake nodded. "Leah and Kim try to avoid her, well they try to avoid that whole group. I know you have been trying to do the same thing and if you do end up passing them in the hallway you tend to have at least one of us with you."

I smiled. "It is safer that way. Sadly, there possibly might come a time when I don't get to have one of you guys with me and sadly then there might be a problem."

Embry looked at me. "What do you mean?"

I shrugged. "There is a chance that if they come after me, I won't be able to walk away. I won't throw the first punch that is a given almost, but I won't back down from a fight if I can't get away from it."

Paul glanced at Jake for a minute, and it seemed like they were having a conversation before I poked him in the stomach. "No secret conversations please!"

Jake laughed for a second. "Paul just wanted to make sure that if something did happen, we had a plan in place for you to not get into trouble. Sam already knows about the issues with that group though it wouldn't hurt for me to remind him that it is still happening."

The rest of the weekend passed as usual. Sunday evening, I went to have dinner at my house, and I made sure I went over all my homework with Sam, so he knew that it was all done. I didn't want to risk something happening again.

On Monday when I woke up it felt different. I had this ball of energy inside me that I just couldn't tame at the moment. I glanced at the calendar and realized we had health day which meant no gym class. Maybe after school I could convince Embry to join me for a run. That would work, Paul was working this afternoon which meant he would be at Sam's for dinner probably but that was it. Though it did mean that he would be off work about 8 so we could chill for a bit here at the house.

I decided to braid my hair today all the way down my back and just leave it like that. I hadn't done it like this for a while and I didn't know what Paul was going to say about it however it was the easiest thing to do this morning. Paul had a meeting with Sam last night so he couldn't spend the night with me, something about the situation that had been going on at the school with the girls.
