Caesar knew this place was difficult to live in. But he wanted to get along with the other chimps. He also wanted to prove to his father that he could survive on his own. He knew that if things got back his father would break him out.

"Grade A primate chow," Dodge Landon said as he poured a disgusting slop into the feeding tray on the door of Caesar's cage. Caesar just looked down at it. "Go on. Don't you know food when you see it." Caesar had gotten some of the slop on his hands and flicked it off. Unfortunately that slop got on Dodge. "You think that's funny huh," Dodge said dangerously. "We'll see how you like this," Dodge said as he retrieved a high pressure water hose and aimed it at Caesar. Caesar was thrown back into the wall of the cage by the jet of water. The hose head was only one Caesar for a few seconds before the head literally exploded, dousing Landon in water. One of the other primate keepers turned off the house at the shutoff valve. "What the hell?" Landon exclaimed.

Harry who had been keeping an eye on Caesar had caused the sprayer head to explode. Landon went away with the other keeper to get dried off. Caesar dried off unnaturally fast thanks to Harry's help. When Caesar wasn't looking his "food" changed into the fresh fruits he enjoyed at home. Caesar glanced back at the food with surprise and didn't wait long to begin eating. This place may be strange. But he felt like his father was watching out for him, with him at all times. When Caesar fell asleep that night, Harry sent Caesar dreams of their home. Caesar felt like he was floating through their home. Harry also sent Caesar a dream of one or two of the female chimps in the sanctuary with him. Harry was a sex god after all.

The Next Day

"Take all ten all the way to the back," Robert Franklin directed as ten more apes were wheeled into the lab. "You guys are moving quick on this operation. Any idea what the rush is?" He asked Harry.

"This drug could be life changing if we get it right. It is already life-changing. We just want to make it better. But just between you and me, Jacobs sees some big money in it," Harry said.

Harry led the way into the lab to inspect the new apes. One of the apes, Koba, had his hand out palm up waiting as Harry reached his cage.
"Hello Koba," Harry greeted. Koba had a nasty scar along the left side of his face. "I'm Will."

Robert passed Harry a treat which Harry placed in Koba's palm. Koba turned and ate it quickly before holding his hand out again.

"He certainly likes treats," Robert said. "It says here he has seen plenty of testing in the past."
"We'll start off with him," Harry said.

A half hour later and everyone was suited up. Koba was strapped to a table.

"Calmest ape we've ever had in here," Richards, another lab tech, noted.

"That's probably because this isn't his first rodeo. He knows the drill having been in a whole lot of labs," Robert replied.

Jacobs knocked on the window just then.

"Could I join you?" Jacobs asked.

"Sure," Harry said.

"Pulse ox is good and his blood pressure is steady," Richards reported. Richards held Koba's head steady while Robert put a mask to deliver ALZ-113 to Koba."
"Releasing the 113 now," Harry announced.

Everything was good for several moments. But then Koba began flailing. In his agitated state Koba knocked Robert's mask askew. One of the hoses that delivered the 113 came off the machine delivering the gas.

"Franklin, hurry and get your mask on," Harry ordered.

Franklin fumbled a bit while Richards reattached the hose. Koba calmed down.

"Got it," Robert replied.

"Are you feeling alright?" Harry asked.

"Yeah. I'm alright," Franklin assured.

Back at the Primate Sanctuary

Caesar followed the lead of the other primates as they were sent into the exercise area. When he came out of the tunnel the noise of the other apes playing instantly died out. They all stared at Caesar. Nearby where Caesar stood a gorilla named Buck beat against the doors of his cage. Caesar went out and rolled a ball towards another ape. But an angry looking ape named Rocket crushed the ball before tossing it to the side. Caesar held out his hand in a friendly gesture as Rocket approached. Rocket stood up, grasped the sleeve of Caesar's red shirt, and sniffed the material. He then circled around behind Caesar, gripped the shirt, and tore the shirt clean off Caesar. Rocket whipped the shirt around his body while hooting several times. He began hooting and getting in Caesar's face. Rocket then grabbed a water container and began beating it against the ground. Caesar having only been around humans didn't understand this behavior.

Rocket leapt towards Caesar and began beating on Caesar. Caesar started to curl up into a fetal position.

"Caesar, throw him off," Harry's voice sounded in Caesar's head.

Caesar swatted at Rocket with one arm. Harry had granted Caesar just a burst of enhanced strength. Rocket was launched back fifteen feet and hit a wall. Caesar leapt to his feet and ran up the tree in the center of the exercise area. Rocket tried following Caesar up the tree. But by that point Caesar was already at the top. When Rocket jumped at Caesar, Caesar swatted Rocket away, sending the other ape plummeting back down the tree. Dodge Landon shot Rocket with a tranquilizer dart. He aimed his gun to shoot Caesar with the same type of dart. But the gun jammed. Dodge tried clearing the jam. But by that point Caesar had come down the tree and made it to the tunnel which led into his cage.

Over the next couple of days Koba was observed for changes and any side-effects. When Jacobs walked into the observation area and Koba wrote the word Jacobs in English on a sketch pad, Jacobs was ridiculously excited. Harry really didn't blame the man.

"The intelligence results are remarkable," Harry said to Robert Franklin. "There do not appear to be any adverse effects on the apes."

"Apes have amazingly strong immune systems," Robert noted before he let out a sneeze. "Unlike us. Excuse me a second," Robert said as he noticed blood splatter on his clipboard.

Robert just wanted to believe he had a bloody nose. Harry wouldn't blame the man for that either. But given his recent possible exposure to ALZ-113 the man should have been suspicious there might be a relationship.

Back at the primate shelter, Caesar had begun to make friends with an orangutan named Maurice. Maurice knew sign language. Caesar also observed apes being tranquilized to be taken to Gen-Sys for testing. Jacobs wanted to step up the testing of ALZ-113 and hadn't told Harry.

The next day Harry and Carol came to visit Caesar. When Caesar stepped down into the cage inside the one of the human visitation areas they could tell Caesar was happy to see them. He was all smiles.

"Hey Caesar," Carol greeted.

"You're looking good Caesar," Harry said in greeting. "How are things?"
Caesar signed back, "Ok for now. Thank you for food."

"Food," Carol said questioningly.

Harry weaved an illusion behind him that meant that Dodge Landon who was standing in the room or anyone watching on camera wouldn't perceive their real conversation. Any observers wouldn't see or hear what Harry, Caesar, and Carol were talking about.

"I've been sneaking him better food," Harry said.
"How?" Carol asked.

"You know I have my ways," Harry said with a smirk.

Years of being with her fiancé and Carol still hadn't completely figured him out.

"Well he seems to appreciate it," Carol said, deciding to leave it at that. "Have you made any girlfriends in there yet Caesar?" Carol asked him.

"There is one chimp," Caesar signed. "Cornelia," He added.

"Way to go Caesar," Harry cheered.

"Congratulations Caesar," Caroline said with one of her beautiful smiles.

"We aren't together yet," Caesar replied.

"It's only a matter of time," Harry replied.

Harry used a little of his sex god powers to make Caesar seem more attractive to female apes. It would just enhance what was already there. Caesar asked about the legal progress. He didn't fully comprehend everything about the legal policies yet. But he was learning. It was a good visit.

Harry tuned in events at the sanctuary as Dodge Landon brought his guy friend Gordon Myrl and two girls Lean Gibson and Tracy Spirid into the ape cage enclosure. It was night.

"They watch TV?" Lean asked with surprise.
"We call it enrichment," Dodge replied.

"Ah. This one is so cute," Tracy said as she spotted one of the sleeping apes. "What's his name?"
Dodge walked over and said, "Her name is Cornelia."
Lean let out a sudden shriek.

"This one scared me half to death," Lean said as she calmed down and got a better look at Maurice.

"That's Maurice," Dodge supplied.

Maurice turned away.

"It's no fun," Lean complained.

Harry suspected the girls were a little drunk already.

"Here, I'll show you something fun," Dodge suggested. Gordon took another beer and handed Tracy the rest of the 4-pack. Dodge walked over to the door in front of Rocket's cage while drawing a stun baton. "Watch this," Dodge said with malicious glee.

He ran the stun baton which was turned on along the steel cage. Sparks ran out all along the connected wall of cages. The apes went crazy jumping around and beating against their cage. One of the other shelter assistants, Rodney Harris, opened one of the doors into the room at that moment.

"You shouldn't be in here," Rodney stammered nervously.

Rodney didn't like speaking up to Dodge because Dodge was John Landon's son. It was intimidating to speak up to your boss's son.
"Just leave Rodney," Dodge said with a patronizing grin. Dodge suddenly realized the girls hadn't liked what he did. "Let's leave," Dodge said.

The girls followed Dodge. But Gordon paused in front of Caesar's cage. He popped the top off of the beer with a pocket knife with an opener built-in before returning it to its pocket.

"This one seems a bit different," Gordon said.

"Yeah. He's a pain in my ass," Dodge replied.

Caesar beckoned Gordon closer. The drunk Gordon did so. Caesar came closer and ran his hands over Gordon's arms patting him down while making ape sounds. He made the gesture that showed he wanted something, like a come hither gesture. Gordon laughed.

"How cute," Tracy said. "I think he wants a treat."
"Maybe a banana," Lean suggested.

"Stop monkeying around and let's go," Dodge said.

Dodge laughed at his own pun while Tracy groaned at it. Gordon followed along taking a swig of his beer. They were all so drunk none of them had noticed that Caesar had lifted the pocket knife off of Gordon. It took him half an hour. But he managed to strap the pocket knife to some sticks. He used it to reach out of his cell and activate the release for the cage door up top. Caesar followed the walkway out into the main exercise area. Once there he opened the cage door containing the gorilla named Buck. When Caesar prodded Buck the gorilla turned and pounded his chest rapidly. Caesar backed away and kept his head down. Buck calmed down and prodded the artificial grass outside of his cage tentatively. Buck hadn't had much freedom. Buck shied away at the touch of the turf. Then he made a charge out of his cage into freedom. Caesar scrambled up the tree in the center. Buck ran around the common area playing and exploring. He then looked up at Caesar gratefully.

Harry then watched as Caesar proceeded to lure Rocket out of his cage. When Rocket exited the tunnel he was hit in the face with an empty fuel can. When Rocket shook off the dazed feeling he found himself facing Buck, Caesar's new enforcer. It didn't take Rocket long to realize he needed to back down. He held his hand out in the supplicating gesture. Caesar ran his fingers along Rocket's palm.

Meanwhile Back at Harry's House

Carol was sleeping. Charles was sleeping thanks to a sleeping spell Harry had placed him under. Harry held the hypo-spray in his hand that Aristotle had gotten synthesized from the orbiting cruiser. It would take care of Charles' Alzheimer's for good. The disease had progressed to the point where Charles couldn't afford to wait for the version that Harry had been working on in the mortal laboratory to be finished. Harry reached out and injected the hypo-spray into Charles' neck. It wouldn't take long. A few minutes later Charles was sleeping peacefully and Harry was able to lift the sleeping spell.

Breakfast the Next Morning

"Charles, you look so much better," Carol said as Charles walked into breakfast.
"I feel so much better," Charles admitted.
"With any luck the dose I gave you last night should be your last one," Harry said.

"You think you found a cure?" Carol asked with surprise.

"Possibly," Harry said. "But the cure I gave dad was highly tailored to his DNA. I don't know that it would be mass producible yet. It's really too soon to tell."

"Still. This is wonderful. Thank you, son," Charles said as he pulled Harry into a hug.

"Let's take the day off to celebrate," Carol suggested.

"Alright," Harry agreed.

"We can go visit Caesar," Charles suggested.

The Next Day in the Lab

Harry came into the lab to find the lab techs preparing to test ALZ-113 on more chimps. Apparently Jacobs had authorized it. Jacobs himself came down to the lab when he saw Will enter.

"We talked about testing sparingly on one subject. We need to analyze Koba's bloodwork first," Harry said.

"But I don't see any reason why we can't test on more chimps while we're doing that," Jacobs said.
"You're risking the lives of more chimps by testing so soon. It isn't necessary," Harry pointed out.

"Walk with me Will," Jacobs said.

Harry followed Jacobs to a more secluded part of the lab.

"What is it?" Harry asked.

"Will, this drug is worth more than everything else Gen-Sys is developing combined. It is going to be revolutionary and will make history. It will also make the company a lot of money," Jacob said.
"I don't think you comprehend how virulent the delivery system is for ALZ-113. That's why I talked to you about the testing protocol the way I did," Harry explained.
"Will. We are doing this. Either get onboard or leave ship," Jacobs said.

"So that is the way it is going to be. Good luck doing this without me," Harry said.

"I'm sorry you feel that way," Jacobs said. "We will still be proceeding."

Harry turned and left.

Path – PotA – Path – PotA – Path – PotA – Path – PotA – Path – PotA – Path – PotA – Path

Harry watched as Caesar was accepted by the other primates. Rocket who had once proven to be so much trouble for Caesar was now Caesar's helper. One scene where Rocket distributed Nabisco chocolate chip cookies to the other apes at Caesar's direction was just an example of this new behavior. Caesar was far too smart to be kept contained in the cages. Caesar began planning to get the other apes out of confinement. But first there was something he wanted to do first. He wanted more apes that were intellectually closer to him. They may never be his equal since he was born under the effects of ALZ-112. But they could certainly become closer.

That night Caesar used one of the passcodes to get out of the gate in the primary play area. It had been simple to what the sequence of numbers for the passcode. The workers at the shelter didn't even try covering their passcodes when entered. It was assumed the apes weren't smart enough to use them. From there Caesar was able to go out the retractable skylight.

When Caesar arrived home Harry was waiting for him.

"Welcome home," Harry said as Caesar stepped into the kitchen.

Caesar appeared surprised to see Harry.

"You knew I would come," Caesar signed.

"I suspected," Harry said. "I've been keeping an eye on you at the shelter. I knew you were making friends. It is naturally for you to want them to be able to think like you."

Harry slid over a satchel with a strap on it. Caesar walked over and opened it up to find a cannister of ALZ. This version of ALZ would work for the primates in the shelter.

"Thank you," Caesar signed gratefully.

He looked up at his father.

"Of course," Harry said as he stood and wrapped his arms around Caesar. "I will be keeping an eye out on you at the shelter and when you leave. If you need my help sign my name. Just twist the top on the cannister and it will release the gas."
Caesar hugged Harry back tightly one more time. Then he left out the front door. Harry watched him go. Then he returned to bed to cuddle with Carol.

Caesar headed back to the shelter. The moment he made it back inside where his fellow apes were sleeping in their cages, Caesar pulled out the cannister and twisted the top. The gas spewed out and filled the cage enclosure.

"Time to get up," Dodge yelled as he pounded on one of the cages the next day.

Normally this would have garnered the apes letting out their simian screams. But the apes were completely silent this day. They were looking around at the world with whole new perspectives. They understood far more than they did the night before thanks to the ALZ having done its job.

Caesar examined the apes as they came out into the play area. He could see the flecks of green in their eyes. Caesar began to speak to the apes with sign language teaching them. It was funny to watch when John Landon, the asshole head of the sanctuary, started to notice something was off about the apes. Caesar noticed Landon watching them briefly too. Caesar just stared Landon down. The apes just went about their business and Landon thought nothing more about it.

Meanwhile, Back at Harry's House

"Good morning," Carol said before she kissed Harry when she came into the kitchen that morning.

"Good morning beautiful," Harry greeted.

Harry had told her about quitting his job because he hadn't liked what Jacobs had been pushing. Harry grabbed her ass, fondling her shapely butt.

"Hey now. Someone is frisky this morning," Carol said with a grin.

"With you, always," Harry replied.

"So any idea what job you might try to find now? I'm sure there are plenty of other firms in the city you can sign on with," Carol said.

"I haven't given it much thought. We've never really discussed it too much. But I've saved up quite a bit of money over the years and done really good at investing. We don't absolutely need to work if we don't want to," Harry said.
"Really? I had no idea," Carol said. "I mean we've always been pretty comfortable financially. But I didn't know your investments had paid off that well."
"They have," Harry confirmed. "I'll probably take my time and look around before jumping into another position."

"Take as much time as you need," Carol said. "I love you."

"I love you too," Harry said before initiating his own kiss.

When they broke the kiss Carol bit her bottom lip and said, "Is your dad still asleep?"
"He is," Harry said as his abilities told him Carol was quite turned on. "What did you have in mind?"

"It has been a while since you've bent me over this table," Carol said suggestively while her foot slid up Harry's leg to his crotch, rubbing the growing bulge there. Harry took her foot in his hands and slid down beneath the table. "What are you doing?" She asked. "Oh, Oh," She said a moment later when Harry slid her night shorts and panties down over her legs.

His mouth was busy kissing her other lips. Carol threaded her fingers through her lover's hair and just enjoyed his wonderful way of warming her up. She got her wish and was bent over that table that morning. It was a brilliant way to start the day for both Harry and Carol. Harry absolutely loved being with his beautiful woman.

Path – PotA – Path – PotA – Path – PotA – Path – PotA – Path – PotA – Path – PotA – Path

As a general rule Harry made it a habit to notice answer calls to his cell that were from unrecognized numbers. If they were important calls the person could leave a voicemail. But when the same number called him for the fourth time in a day and a half, Harry had Aristotle trace the call. That was how Harry found himself arriving at Robert Franklin's apartment.

"Robert," Harry said as he knocked.

There was no response. Harry tried again. After the third time knocking and no response Harry extended his senses into the apartment. He sensed Robert lying in his bade, unconscious and minutes from death. The man had collapsed. Harry phased through the door and quickly walked into Robert's bedroom. The man had contracted a virus from the ALZ-113.

"I told Jacobs that he shouldn't push the ALZ trials the way he was doing it," Harry said with a shake of his head.

"You did Sir," Aristotle agreed. "Do you want me to heal him?"
"I'll handle it,"
Harry replied.

Harry held his hands over Robert's form. A golden white light shot out of Harry's hands and began to heal the damage caused by Franklin's sickness. The mortal science of that world wouldn't have saved Franklin at the stage he was at. But Harry could do so. Unfortunately a quick telepathic scan of Franklin's mind had revealed that Franklin had already infected several others. Harry could have probably stopped the spreading plague with considerable effort. But frankly it was just too much for him to care. This was one planet among an infinite number. He couldn't help them all. He would help those he had come to care about. Franklin was now immune to the disease. Harry vanished from Franklin's apartment after the man was healed.

Primate Shelter

Harry watched in on events at the shelter as Caesar got his revenge on the cruelty of the handlers. Caesar apparently stood alone in the play area when none of the apes should have been there. Dodge Landon walked in holding the stun baton.

"What the hell do you think you're doing huh?" Dodge demanded of Caesar as he approached. Caesar was calm and just stared at Dodge. The other handler Rodney had been called to the platform by Dodge with the tranquilizer gun. "Get," Dodge said ineffectually while gesturing at Caesar to move. Caesar didn't move. "Go on," Dodge said. "Get back in your cage. I'm warning you." The other apes were looking on from their cages as Rodney got into position with the tranq gun. Dodge jabbed towards Caesar with the stun button saying, "Go on, get." Caesar merely bared his teeth at Dodge. "That's it." Dodge surged forward and shocked Caesar in the shoulder. The shock only hurt for a moment before Harry dulled the pain. "That's what you get."

Dodge surged forward and jabbed the stun baton into Caesar's back. This time the shock didn't affect Caesar at all. Harry was channeling his power into Caesar.

"He cannot hurt you with that now my son," Caesar heard in his mind in his father's voice.

Caesar knocked Dodge back with a blow to the chest.

"No More," Caesar called out in a deep voice.

Dodge's face was frozen in shock. Harry smirked and made a mental note to share this image with Hermione. Draco Malfoy's counterpart with that expression on his face was priceless to anyone who had known the blonde. Harry didn't even need to jam the tranq gun. Rodney was so stunned in that moment that he couldn't fire. The other apes went wild.

"No more," Caesar repeated. "No more. You. Cage," Caesar said as he grabbed Dodge by the back of the shirt and dragged the blonde kicking and screaming into one of the cages.

Caesar picked up the stun baton and jabbed it into Dodge for good measure while triggering it. Dodge screamed and thrashed as the electricity coursed through him. But then Caesar let up and closed the cage. Caesar began freeing the other apes.

Rodney foolishly burst into the cage area out of the office. When faced with a horde of free apes he tried to go back into the office. But the door locked behind him. The apes were quick to drag him down and start beating on him. Harry numbed Rodney's pain and intended to heal any damage. Out of all the handlers Harry thought Rodney was one of the only decent men. Caesar quickly pulled the other apes off of Rodney, pulled the man to his feet, and locked the man in a cage. Dodge was asking for a beating. He had used his key to unlock the cage. He rushed for the fire hose. But Caesar pulled it out of the way. Dodge instead went from the stun baton Caesar had left laying nearby.

Suddenly Dodge collapsed unconscious. His keys were transported into Caesar's hands.

"You are free now," Harry sent to Caesar's mind.

Dodge would have gotten himself killed. Harry didn't want that on Caesar's conscience. Caesar noticed a tag on one of the cages that said 'Deliver to Gensys' and came up with a plan. Knowledge of how to get to Gensys and where the other apes would have been kept flooded Caesar's mind provided by Harry. Caesar led the apes out of the shelter and towards Gensys. Harry and Carol had been intending to visit Caesar that day. It was just after the apes left that the couple arrived at the shelter. When they went to the visitor's entrance and found nobody present they knew something was amiss. Harry led the way back to the cage area. The shelter wasn't really designed to keep people out so much as keep the apes in.

"Will," Carol said as she noticed Rodney in a cage.

"Let me out," Rodney said as he surged to his feet at Carol's voice.

"How did you get in here?" Harry asked as he ran down and opened Rodney's cage.

"The apes locked me in here. We found your ape out of his cage. Dodge confronted him. Your ape spoke. He said actual words. They all escaped," Rodney explained.

"What did he say?" Carol asked.

"He said no more. Then he said they were free and told Dodge to get in the cage," Rodney answered.

Rodney called the police. Harry looked around and quietly disposed of the ALZ cannister. The police showed up and reviewed the video of the incident. The security cameras had audio. Caesar speaking was observed by all watching the video feed.

"Come on," Harry said as he pulled Carol out to the car after watching the video. "I have a pretty good idea that Caesar is heading to Gensys. They have more apes like Caesar in captivity."

While Harry drove Carol to Gensys he kept an eye out on the situation as the apes arrived at Gensys. They began trashing the place. Most of the humans were smart enough to flee. Jacobs on the other hand walked into the scene after the fact. He looked up once he was in the main entry hall and noticed the dozens upon dozens of apes looking down at him. When he turned and began to flee they chased after him. Jacobs managed to make it away and out to the front lawn just a police helicopter arrived. Police Chief John Hamil stepped out of the helicopter.

"My name is Steven Jacobs," Jacobs shouted to Hamil over the sound of the helicopter as Jacobs ran up to the police officer. "The building is full of apes. We have to be able to get up into the air and destroy them."
"Why up in the air?" Hamil asked. "Mr. Jacobs, I just witnessed an ape speak. Do you care to explain what you are doing here that would cause that?"
"One of them spoke?" Jacobs asked.

The intelligence boosting effects of the ALZ were phenomenal. If they could allow apes to speak then it was incredible. If only it was safe for humans. Jacobs had just received a report from Will's team that the ALZ-113 had an effect on humans that was possibly lethal. It did not have the same effect on apes.

"Yes. We have it on tape," Hamil confirmed.

Jacobs thought quickly.

"We tested out an Alzheimer's drug on them. It made the apes smarter. But they are carrying a virus that could be lethal to humans. They need to be put down before it can spread," Jacobs said, trying for the truth. "We didn't realize just how smart it would make them until it was too late. This is the first time I've heard of any of them speaking though."
"I'll tell my men not to get too close. But we need to try to capture them instead of killing them if possible. This is a little above my pay grade. I'll get someone on the phone with the CDC. Any potential viruses should be handled by them," Hamil said.

Hamil grabbed a radio and told his people to draw back. He told them about the potential virus. Unfortunately for humanity the situation was already too late. Franklin had spread the virus already. The apes that escaped from the shelter with Caesar were not contagious. Harry had made sure of that with the version of ALZ he gave to Caesar. But the ALZ Jacobs had been working on was a different story.

Caesar ordered the apes at a few local zoos broken out. The gorilla that followed Caesar, Buck, was all too happy to comply. A very large gorilla running at the wrought iron cage enclosing the ape exhibit and body slamming it saw the cage crumpling. The apes on their way out picked up some of the straight wrought iron poles tipped with a decorative arrow-head shape which would work as effective spears for them. Harry watched with amusement as a San Francisco animal control officer who hadn't yet got the memo about what was going on captured one of the apes using a net fired from a shot-gun apparatus. The officer dragged a screaming chimp into the back of his van before getting into the driver's seat. When one of those spears came through the roof his van and almost went through him he knew shit had hit the fan.

Officer Tyson looked up to see where the wrought iron spear had come from only to see that the tops of the surrounding buildings were lined with more apes. Caesar took another spear and threw it into the hood of Officer Tyson's van. At that point Rocket ripped the rear doors open even taking one off the hinges. As Tyson sped away with the van he did so without the captured chimp in the back. More spears rained down on his van from above. Apes ran rampant throughout the city as they moved in groups, reveling in their newfound freedom.

At one point Maurice and Buck stood side by side in the street as two police cars bore down on them. Maurice removed a manhole cover from the road while Buck ripped out a parking meter. Maurice hurled the manhole cover like a discus through the air until it slammed into the center of the windshield for the lead police car. As that lead car was forced to stop Buck lifted the parking meter over his head. He whipped the steel object weighted down at one end with broken concrete at the second police car. It impacted right against the front grill going into the radiator which began to vent steam. The hood latch was destroyed and the hood flew up. That second car was forced to stop as well. It was amusing to watch as the apes swung through the city heading towards golden gate bridge. Harry could see Caesar was leading them towards Muir Woods which he knew well.

Harry and Carol were in their car heading for the bridge when the apes started across.

"They made it to the bridge. Caesar must be leading them to the redwoods," Carol said.
"He does know it well. It makes sense he would take them there," Harry agreed.

Chief Hamil had ordered all the tranquilizer rifles that could be obtained on short notice to the bridge. While the apes had been making their way through the city SFPD had been working on this effort. As a result, there were quite a few of the tranquilizer rifles at the south of the bridge being wielded by SFPD officers. The bridge was blocked off by officers when Harry & Carol arrived.

"We'll never get on the bridge this way," Carol said as she noticed police directing people off the bridge who had abandoned their cars.

The two got out of their vehicle leaving it. Harry glanced at his mate deciding what he wanted to do in this situation.

"I think it is time she knew," Harry projected to Aristotle.

Out loud he took Carol's hand and pulled her close to him.

"What are you doing Will?" Carol asked.

"Revealing the truth to you about what I am," Harry said.

Harry made them invisible, not that Carol realized it. Then he began flying up into the air.

"Will," Carol screamed in fright as she clutched at him. "How?"
She began to look around as she realized they weren't flying. Harry didn't fly too far over the bridge. Harry could simply release the entire bond to her. Knowledge would flood her mind at that point. But he wanted to do this slower.

"I am not from this universe. Part of me is. But part of me is from another universe. And that part is powerful," Harry said.

Carol glanced at him as they flew over the bridge towards the apes. Mist shrouded view of the apes by those positioned at the south end of the bridge. Harry manipulated the local weather by sending out more mist. Caesar could see the flashing lights at the end of the bridge.

"I don't fully understand," Carol admitted.

"It's a long story. I can tell you more about it when this situation is over. Suffice it to say that your life just got a whole lot more interesting. I am what some people would consider a god," Harry said.

Carol looked at her fiancé and saw his eyes glowing with power. Something deep inside of her, a new sense, felt how intense his power was. This was the vacuum energy powers Carol had been gifted when Harry came to this universe and bonded her to him. Her powers were sensing just how strong her mate was. The couple turned back to the scene before them as Caesar ordered many of his primates to climb beneath the bridge and many up onto the cables.

"Could you help them?" Carol asked.

"I will provide some assistance. I already have. But I also want to see how Caesar handles this himself," Harry said.

The apes on the upper supports of the bridge were climbing up out of the mist. One of the officers in the chopper took aim with a tranquilizer rifle. Just as the shot went off Harry flicked his hand and caused the dart to telekinetically miss.

"You have some of these powers as my mate," Harry said.

Carol turned surprised eyes to Harry as she heard him in her mind.

"I do?" Carol asked.

"Yes. I can show you," Harry said as he mentally guided her in how to use her telekinesis.

Jacobs happened to be flying in a nearby helicopter with Chief Hamil. Carol tried out her new telekinesis by ripping the rifle out of one of the officer's hand in that helicopter. Because of her inexperience the rifle clipped Jacobs on the way out. Jacobs was sent flying out of the helicopter plummeting towards the water below.

"Oh," Carol gasped. "No."

She reached out and slowed his fall instinctually. Jacobs hit the water at a survivable speed.

"You just need some practice," Harry said.

Carol grin as she realized the power she now had at her fingertips. It was dangerous yes. But it was also amazing.

"What else can I do?" Carol asked.

"Much," Harry assured.

Their attention was drawn back to the bridge as they heard the sound of metal scraping on pavement. A line of gorillas had pushed over a bus and were pushing it towards the position of the officers. The gorillas had gotten it moving. But Carol wanted to help. She gestured with her right hand making a pushing gesture. The bus began to slide along the pavement more quickly. It was quiet for several moments. Then apes erupted from below the bridge and dropped down from the upper supports. The tranquilizer rifles went off. Harry gestured and all the darts missed by a small margin. The officers had orders not to get close. So they quickly broke and fled. But that was when Hamil ordered a different approach. An office wielding a machine gun fired it at the ground before the apes not actually aiming at any of the apes. He was trying to frighten them back and warn them not to proceed any further.

"Do you want to put on a little show and frighten the officers off?" Harry asked Carol.

"Sure. What do I do?" Carol asked.

"I'll guide you in your mind," Harry said.

Harry shifted his grip on his lover so that he was holding her by her hips floating behind her. She became visible. Her eyes glowed with power lighting up her features displaying her beauty. She looked like an avenging angel minus the wings.

"Leave them in peace," Carol said, her voice carrying to all those in the helicopter.

The gunfire immediately ceased. Hamil and the rest of those in the helicopter stared at Carol in stunned silence.

"Pull back," Hamil ordered when he got his wits about him. Hamil got on his radio and ordered, "Pull back. Do not try to detain the apes. We'll let the military or someone else handle them."

Any resistance on the ground fell away. Nobody tried shooting at the apes as Caesar gestured at his group to move on with a wave of his hand. The humans in the area were too busy staring at the floating Carol. When the apes had moved into the woods on the other side of the bridge, Carol once again became invisible.

"Did we just have a hallucination?" Jacobs asked.

"Not unless we all had the same hallucination," Hamil replied. "This is above my pay grade. But I can make sure people stay out of those woods and contact the appropriate people at the CDC along with the military."

Harry flew with Carol behind the group of apes as they moved into the woods.

"Caesar, we will meet you on the ground," Harry projected into Caesar's mind along with Carol's mind through their bond.

Harry touched down on a spot the group of apes had moved past in the woods. The apes were up in the redwoods swinging from tree top to tree top. He willed them invisible. Caesar touched down a few moments later.

"Caesar," Carol said and drew him into a hug.

Caesar returned the hug.

"I guess this is goodbye for the moment buddy," Harry said as Carol pulled back.

Harry drew Caesar into his own embrace.

"I miss you," Caesar said.

"We'll miss you too," Carol said after sharing a look of wonder with Harry at Caesar speaking.

"But we will be watching over you," Harry assured. "These woods are your home from now on." Harry grinned warmly at Caesar and added, "Now go be with your girlfriend and your friends."
Caesar nodded and leapt up onto a nearby tree. He began climbing. Carol stepped back into Harry's arms.

"Will he be alright do you think?" Carol asked.

"I wasn't lying when I said we would watch over him," Harry said.
She turned and looked into his eyes.

"I get the feeling that when you say that you mean we will be capable of looking after him pretty well," Carol said.

"Let me show you the universe and exactly what you are capable of," Harry said just before he transported them away to their cloaked starship in orbit.

Harry decided with Carol that he would take several years to show Carol around the planet slowly telling her of her powers and how to use them. He also took her on trips out into the Milky Way galaxy to explore the planets of that universe. Aristotle helped them keep a watch over Caesar even when they went away on these trips. Caesar was like their child. They watched him grow as a leader. The plague did spread to humanity. Harry and Carol helped out when they directly saw suffering. But the human race was still greatly diminished. By the time the plague finished its work humanity numbered in the millions. Meanwhile Caesar's ape colony thrived.

Author's Note (Very Important!)
Greetings Everyone,
For many years now I have been writing fanfiction (since 2009). I've put out what I have been told is an incredible amount of fanfiction. I wanted to give back to the fanfiction community after I had taken so much enjoyment from it by reading a lot of good works that the authors who came before me had written. So, I started writing. I figured it was a great way to give back.

I completely understand that not everyone's talents lay in writing. I've noticed that many of the authors I follow have created patreo n accounts. I've subscribed to several of them to support them and encourage them to continue writing. Let's face it. Real life can be very tough. One or two dollars can make the world of difference to an author, especially when many people decide to take part. So, please if you would like to see me producing more stories for you to read, please consider subscribing to my patreo n account. The lowest tiers of support are set on one dollar per month. My current job allows me quite a bit of time to write. But real life may be forcing me to go find a different job that pays better than my current job. A job that pays better is not going to leave me with much time to write if any. I want to continue writing. Please help me to do that and keep my current job.
Right now you'll find all the parts of the Planet of the Apes verse, all the parts of the Walking Dead verse, and the first two parts of the Supernatural verse on my patreo n account. So you'll get early access to my stories. I plan to post a new chapter every two weeks on there. And it is the smut versions.
Thank You,
