Teen Titans Unleashed

Before you read: I will introduce two of my own original characters in this chapter, but I'll also include a classic character from DC comics. I will also make a reference to the DCAU and reveal my own origin for some of the villains we saw in Teen Titans.

Man or Machine

The sky was orange as it was a sunny afternoon in Jump City and at Titans Tower the Titans were enjoying themselves by playing a friendly game of basketball. They were playing it on the roof of the Tower with one goal as they divided into two teams of Beast Boy and Cyborg against Robin and Starfire. Raven was the referee as she meditated and levitated high over their court with her eyes closed as she pinched her fingers against her thumbs while "sitting" in Indian style. Cyborg happily dribbled the basketball while Robin tried to snatch it from him but Cyborg was too fast as he moved toward the goal. He shot the ball toward the goal but Starfire flew up and grabbed the ball before floating and dribbling the ball. She passed the ball to Robin and he dribbled toward the goal, but Cyborg manage to take it before throwing it to Beast Boy. He caught the ball and turned into a kangaroo as he jumped and dunked the ball into the goal before turning human.

He laughed happily before he high-fived Cyborg who happily said, "Booyah! Slam dunk!"

Robin picked up the ball and smiled competitively as he said, "Okay, nice moves, but let's see how you work plays."

He passed it to Starfire and she started dribbling toward the goal but stopped when Beast Boy jumped in front of her as a gorilla. He held his arms out to prevent her from shooting the ball while Robin got behind Beast Boy and Starfire looked down and noticed how far apart his legs were. She bounced the ball off the ground between his legs and Robin caught it while Beast Boy turned around in shock. He and Cyborg ran after Robin but he reached the goal and made his shot as he successfully got it into the goal and scored.

Above them, Raven was still levitating and meditating with her eyes shut as she said, "Score. That's two more points for Robin and Starfire. They're in the lead. The score is now 28 to 26."

Beast Boy changed back to his human form as he looked up at her and complained, "How can you even tell?! You've had your eyes closed the whole game!"

Raven kept her eyes shut as she continued to meditate and answered, "I can sense things."

Beast Boy pouted before Cyborg spun the basketball on his fingertip and said, "Chill out BB. They only got a small lead and we still got plenty of time to turn this game around."

Beast Boy, Robin, and Starfire all smiled enthusiastically as they prepared to play again as Cyborg smiled playfully

Suddenly his arm started beeping as he was getting a call as he put the ball down and made a "T" with his hands as he said, "Timeout. I'm getting a call."

Beast Boy smiled teasingly as he said, "Who is it? Bumblebee?"

Starfire giggled happily while Cyborg glared in annoyance before looking at the screen in his left forearm and saw a man he recognized. The man looked a lot like him with the same skin color, a bland round head, and brown eyes; he also wore a pair of glasses and a lab coat.

The man spoke with a serious expression as he said, "Hello Victor."

Cyborg was shocked as he said, "Dad?"

The other Titans' eyes widened in shock, even Raven's eyes shot open as she looked down at Cyborg before falling down as she let out a cry of shock.

On the screen, Cyborg's father showed a serious expression as he said, "Victor, I need you to get over here as soon as possible. We need to talk."

He hung up and Cyborg stared at his arm with shock before showing a serious expression while Beast Boy helped Raven onto her feet and they all looked at him.

He stared at them as he seriously said, "Time for a road trip."

Opening theme song

It was nighttime as the Titans were riding in the T-Car, on their way to meet Cyborg's father as he drove with a lead foot and an intense expression. Robin was riding in the passenger seat with Raven, Starfire, and Beast Boy in the back, Beast Boy was riding the hump.

As he kept driving, Robin looked at Cyborg and curiously said, "So your father is Silas Stone, a scientist at S.T.A.R. Labs?"

Cyborg focused on the road as he replied, "Yeah, one of their top scientists."

As they drove through a city Raven glanced around and curiously asked, "And he lives here in Detroit?"

Cyborg was not happy as he kept driving and said, "Yeah, I grew up here."

Starfire smiled cheerfully as she said, "Glorious! It is wonderful that we see the city where you spent your life and meet your brilliant father!"

Beast Boy smiled as he curiously asked, "Yeah, how come you never talked about your dad before?"

Cyborg kept driving as he started to sound grumpy and said, "Let's just say we haven't spoke in a long time and leave at that."

They were somewhat surprised as Robin showed concern and asked, "Cyborg, are you okay?"

He did not look at him as he focused on the road, "I'm fine. Let's just see what my dad wants and get this over with."

Beast Boy leaned toward Raven as he held his hand next to his mouth and whispered, "Somebody has daddy issues."

Raven looked at Cyborg as she sarcastically asked, "What was your first clue?"

Robin then solemnly said, "Well, if your dad called you it must be important. So let's find out what he needs and how we can help."

He glanced at Robin out of the corner of his eye and said, "Yeah, you're right."

The finally came to the S.T.A.R. Labs facility and pulled up in a parking lot before they went inside and made their way to a lab. There, Silas was sitting by a desk waiting and when they came in Cyborg showed a serious expression while the others were curious.

Silas walked to Cyborg with his arms out to his sides as he smiled and said, "Victor, my boy, it's so good to see you! It's been so long!"

He stopped when Cyborg folded his arms and just greeted, "Hey dad."

Silas' arms fell to his sides as he frowned a bit while Raven went, "Ahem."

Cyborg looked at them and half-heartedly apologized as he held his hand out toward them saying, "Uh sorry. These are my friends."

Silas spoke respectfully as he glanced at each of them saying, "The Teen Titans. I know all about you. I watch the news. Robin, Starfire, Raven, and Beast Boy."

Robin shook his hand as he politely said, "Hi. Nice to meet you."

Cyborg interrupted as he got to the point as he said, "Alright, now that introductions are done, you mind telling us why we're here?"

He walked over to his desk and leaned against it while looking back at them as he explained, "I've been following you in the media. I believe you're all familiar with Professor Chang."

They all looked startled as Robin narrowed his eyes and said, "Yes, we've dealt with him before. He's a criminal scientist who often works for enemies of ours, designing powerful weapons for them and sometimes building them for himself."

Silas pointed his finger at them as he added, "He was also one of our best scientists, before he was fired."

Starfire was concerned and curious as she asked, "Please, why was he unemployed?"

Silas started walking as he said, "Follow me."

They followed him as he led them through a hallway showing other labs and they glanced around to see pieces of technology highly advanced, like nothing else on Earth.

While they followed him Silas explained, "For years we've been recovering strange alien technology that's found itself here on Earth. We've been studying it and experimenting with it to try and design new technologies for different purposes. We've made great strides but there's still so much we don't understand, and some of our experiments haven't gone as planned."

Starfire was intrigued as she looked at some of the machines and pointed at one while saying, "I recognize some of these devices. That is a Gordanian hyperspace engine!"

Beast Boy was confused as he cluelessly said, "What does any of this high-tech stuff have to do with Chang?"

Silas glanced over his shoulder while he kept walking and answered, "Professor Chang was one of our scientists working with some of the alien technology, he'd been working on top secret government projects. We discovered he was working on designing dangerous secret weapons and many of his experiments had horrible results, that's why we fired him."

Cyborg became more curious as he walked next to his father and asked, "So what's he want now?"

Silas showed them a large piece of alien technology as he said, "Earlier today I received a call from Chang about this."

It almost touched the ceiling as it had glowing circuits along its sides and was shiny as the lights glowed bright red.

Beast Boy then cluelessly asked, "What is it?"

Silas held his hand out toward it with a concerned expression as he said, "It is the most complex item in our collection. This is what we know the least about and we're cautious in studying it because its power is unlike any other on Earth."

Robin curiously looked at Starfire as he mused, "Starfire…"

She placed her finger to her lip as she examined it and then said, "I have never seen anything like it. I have visited many planets but I have never seen anything this advanced."

Robin showed concern as they turned back to Silas, who seriously said, "Earlier today I received a call from Professor Chang demanding that I turn this over to him. He told me that if I refused he would come take it himself, and he'd bring his former experiments with him."

Cyborg folded his arms with a bit of displeasure as he said, "So you want us to keep him from getting his hands on this."

Silas was gravely serious as he said, "Victor, if Chang gets his hands on this he could unleash chaos upon the world."

Beast Boy held his left palm up as he asked, "If it's so dangerous why don't we just destroy it?"

Cyborg scanned it and stared at the screen in his forearm as he seriously said, "No way! With the amount of power this thing's outputting, destroying it could cause an explosion big enough to destroy a whole city."

The others were frightened, except Raven, who looked at Beast Boy and honestly admitted, "But still not your worst idea."

Cyborg lowered his arm with a serious expression as he said, "Alright dad, we'll help you. No way Chang's getting his hands on this thing."

Silas smiled gratefully and with pride as he said, "Thank you Victor. I knew I could count on you."

Cyborg turned and started walking as he said, "Yeah sure."

He started walking out of the room with a blank expression while the others watched him and Silas frowned.

The rest of the Titans started following him as Starfire curiously asked, "Cyborg please, why do you treat your father with such displeasure?"

They kept following him as Robin curiously said, "Yeah Cyborg. Your dad seems like a good guy and he's really happy to see you."

Cyborg did not even look at them as he kept walking and said, "It's nothing."

Beast Boy was not convinced as he pointed at Cyborg before pointing his thumb at himself as he said, "It doesn't sound like nothing. And trust me, I know nothing."

Raven passed him with a smirk on her face as she snidely joked, "That might be the smartest thing you've ever said."

Beast Boy realized his statement came out wrong and scowled at Raven with steam coming out of his ears.

They all stopped as Cyborg looked at them with a tense expression as he said, "Guys, trust me. It's no big deal."

Raven was skeptical as she narrowed her eyes and said, "I don't have to be an empath to know that you're lying or that you're mad about something."

Cyborg clinched his fists as he angrily looked at them and said, "Let's just say he did something a long time ago and leave it at that!"

He turned around and left in a huff while they watched him with concerned expressions before turning to each other. They knew he wasn't telling them everything but chose not to say anything else before they all left the hallway; there was a security camera recording their conversation. From his hideout, Professor Chang was watching everything from his own computer monitor, for he had successfully hacked into their security system.

Professor Chang smiled evilly as he stared at the screen before turning around while he said, "So, Stone's son is the good little metal boy. How sad that he blames him for his new condition. What say we go over and give them some company?"

A bright bluish white light was shining on the wall behind him while three large familiar shadows were cast over him. He smiled evilly while his associates yelled and grunted anxiously as they were more than ready to carry out their plan.

He smiled maniacally as he rubbed his hands together and said, "I thought you'd feel that way, and this is the perfect chance to show my new weapon. It's time to show off my superior intellect!"

Shortly after, the Titans started guarding S.T.A.R. Labs as they started patrolling the complex with diligence. They saw no sign of Professor Chang or anything that might be dangerous and so they regrouped in the lab. Cyborg walked in while Raven appeared out of the floor in a field of her black magic, Beast Boy and Starfire flew in and landed, and Robin came in from the opposite side.

Cyborg had a serious expression as he said, "Any of you guys spot any trouble?"

Robin looked at the others as he said, "No sign of Professor Chang so far."

Starfire spoke calmly as she added, "I have had not found the Professor Chang or anything threatening within the vicinity."

Raven then deadpanned, "Nothing on my end."

Beast Boy smiled as he wishfully said, "Maybe that call was just a joke."

They all looked at him with annoyed expressions and then he nervously pressed his fingertips together while looking away.

Silas then came and smiled as he said, "Well I'm confident all of you kids will be able to stop him, especially you Victor."

Cyborg looked away as he snubbed, "Thanks dad."

Silas was disappointed while the rest of the Titans were somewhat saddened by Cyborg's treatment of his father.

Robin then showed a friendly smile as he faced Silas and said, "Don't worry sir. We'll make sure Chang doesn't come anywhere near that device."

Silas smiled with appreciation as he said, "Thank you Robin. I'm sure you've all beaten plenty of villains as bad as him."

Beast Boy had his wrists on his sides as he smiled and cockily said, "You kidding?! We've beaten bad guys WAY worse than him!"

Raven looked at him as she admitted, "True, and we've dealt with Chang before. He's dangerous but he doesn't have any powers, so he's easy enough to beat."

Silas smiled with much respect and confidence as he said, "Well that's good to hear. I feel better knowing I have nothing to worry about."

Starfire smiled sweetly as she floated next to Cyborg with her hands together while saying, "Yes, and I am most joyous that Cyborg is able to reconnect with his father and overcome whatever past mistakes may have occurred."

Cyborg held his hand up to dismiss her as he respectfully said, "Thanks for the support Star, but I'm just here to stop Chang."

Starfire was disappointed and then Silas looked at Cyborg and said, "She seems nice."

Cyborg spoke in a calm matter as he turned from his dad to Starfire and said, "Yeah, Starfire's got a big heart and a lot of spunk."

Beast Boy smiled teasingly as he pointed at Cyborg and said, "Yeah, but not as much as your girlfriend, huh?!"

Cyborg blushed and then angrily glared at Beast Boy as he exclaimed, "Beast Boy!"

Silas looked at Beast Boy with interest and curiosity as he said, "He has a girlfriend?! Who is she? Please tell me!"

Beast Boy smirked as he continued, "Her name's Bumblebee. She's the leader of the Titans East. She and Cyborg are in a long-distance relationship."

Cyborg was seething with rage as Raven, Robin, and Starfire nervously backed away from Beast Boy as he kept smirking with his eyes shut. He opened his eyes and immediately stared at Cyborg with a scared expression as he towered over him and then reached for him. He bent Beast Boy in the shape of a ball and threw him out of the room, prompting him to lie on the ground with stars flying around his head as he was dizzy.

Cyborg was glaring at him furiously until Silas smiled and said, "I'm happy for you."

He calmed down slightly but remained unhappy as he said, "Thanks dad."

Beast Boy got up while he rejoined the others as they all looked at Cyborg and Silas, who tried to mingle with his son.

Silas then walked up to Cyborg from behind and said, "I saw your car outside. It's pretty impressive. Did you make that yourself?"

Cyborg couldn't help but smile with pride as he said, "Yep. It's the T-Car. She's my baby."

Silas smiled and Beast Boy and Starfire smiled at each other with hope as they realized this was the first time Cyborg was happy while talking to his dad.

Silas then hopefully asked, "Any chance you might take me for a ride in it sometime. We could visit your favorite steakhouse."

Cyborg then glared at his father as he said, "Don't count on it old man."

He then started walking away with his fists clinched while the others were surprised and watched as Silas followed his son.

Beast Boy leaned next to Raven with his hand next to his mouth as he softly said, "That was cold."

Raven was also surprised as she nodded and agreed, "I'll say."

Cyborg kept walking down the hall by himself as he glanced over his shoulder to notice his dad following him. He just grunted in anger as he kept marching while his dad followed close behind him as he thought for a moment about what to say.

He then tried to make a pleasant conversation as he said, "So, how have you been?"

Cyborg kept walking as he glanced around and blankly answered, "Can't complain much. Been kicking a lot of butt, saving people, same old same old."

Silas kept walking before glancing back and then smiled as he said, "Your friends seem really nice, especially the green one."

Cyborg reluctantly answered as he honestly said, "Yeah, BB's a pain the butt sometimes but he's a pretty cool little dude."

Silas then let out a heavy sigh before he sincerely said, "Listen Victor, protecting the device isn't the only reason I called you here. I know you're not happy to see me, and I know that I've made some mistakes in the past."

Cyborg shot him a small glare out of the corner of his eye as he angrily said, "That's one way of putting it!"

Silas remained calm as he sincerely continued, "But I'd like to make amends for my mistakes. I know you still have hard feelings for me, but I'd like to put the past behind us and patch things up with you. I'm your father and I'd like you to not hate me."

Cyborg stopped walking and sighed as he looked at his dad with a serious expression as he said, "I don't hate you, but I don't think things will ever go back to the way they were before."

Silas looked down with a heavy expression as he nodded before turning to Cyborg while he said, "You're probably right. But I do think we can still get over our past feelings and maybe work on a brighter future."

Cyborg looked down before turning back to Silas as he stubbornly said, "Sorry dad. It'll be a long time before I start talking to you again."

He started walking again before Silas spoke up and honestly said, "Your mother would be very proud of you."

Cyborg stopped and looked at him out of the corner of his eye and half-heartedly said, "Thanks."

He then walked away and Silas showed disappointment before he walked through a door and entered an office to work. Unbeknownst to them, a janitor was cleaning nearby and was listening to everything they said with a serious expression.

He pulled out a high-tech communication device and spoke into it as he said, "The Titans are here and getting ready for Chang. No, Stone's son is still holding a grudge against him. I doubt he'll be staying once they've finished their mission. Understood."

He hung up and then walked down a different hallway while watching over his shoulder to make sure that no one was watching him. Sometime later the Titans were gathered in a lab talking when Silas walked in and looked at them socializing with each other. Professor Chang had still not made his move as they were taking a short break from their duties and eating some food Silas gave them.

Silas looked at the young teens as he said, "Well, since things have been quiet, I think now's a good time to introduce kids to two of our most interesting associates."

He stepped aside and then a teenage girl came in and smiled at the Titans; she had skin like Robin's with black hair with two locks hanging down the sides of her face and two short pigtails on top. She was roughly the same height as Raven and had a slightly round face like Beast Boy's with a small chin and bright blue eyes. She wore a bright blue dress that went down to her thighs with long sleeves that went all the way to her hands. She also wore dark blue platform shoes and long bright blue stockings that went all the way over her knees and stopped just beneath her skirt.

She smiled somewhat eagerly as she waved her hand and said, "Hi. It's great to meet all of you. I'm a big fan."

Beast Boy was flattered as he smiled and said, "Thanks."

Starfire smiled cheerfully as she said, "I am most thrilled to make a potential new friend."

The girl was very excited as she said, "Me too! I've always wanted to meet you guys!"

Silas smiled as he introduced her and said, "This is our intern Elita. She's one of the most brilliant minds I've ever seen."

She showed a flattered expression before she happily said, "Thanks Silas. I just can't believe I'm talking to the Teen Titans!"

Raven showed a blank expression as she commented, "I can't believe they've got a teen working at S.T.A.R. Labs."

Silas smiled proudly as he held his hand out toward a large automatic door while he said, "She's been working with me and our best scientists on our latest project that I'd like to show you. I think you'll all be quite impressed."

The door opened behind Elita and the Titans were stunned to see a large robot walking toward them as it came and stood next to Elita. The robot stood at seven feet tall and it had a large bulky body that was quite robust with a large torso, broad shoulders, and muscular arms and legs. It had hands like a human's and its feet looked like large metal shoes and it had a large head with crests sticking up on the sides of it. The robot's legs were blue with grey parts in certain areas and the upper body was red, except the head which had blue on the helmet. On the robot's back was a jetpack with short retractable stabilizers that stuck out backwards diagonally, and on top of the jetpack were two long laser cannons. The robot had a curved black screen for a face, which showed three green circles, two small ones for its eyes and a big one for its mouth. The mouth was currently a curved line as the robot smiled sweetly at the Titans while they stared at it in shock.

The robot spoke with the voice of a little boy as it happily said, "Hello Titans."

They were quite impressed as Beast Boy said, "Dude!"

Commercial break

Silas smiled proudly as he introduced the robot and said, "Say 'hello' to our greatest achievement: Magnus XL."

The robot smiled as he happily said, "My friends call me Magnus, or just Mag."

Starfire floated and smiled excitedly as she said, "Glorious!"

Robin then showed a friendly expression as he said, "Well Mag, it's nice to meet you."

Magnus XL put his fists close together excitedly as he said, "Thanks! I'm so glad I finally get to meet the Teen Titans! You guys are awesome!"

Raven cocked an eyebrow as she said, "Okay, not how I expected a robot to act."

Silas then explained, "We built him using different alien technologies we recovered while experimenting with artificial intelligence."

Elita smiled as she held Magnus' hand and said, "I helped build him and I've been teaching him ever since."

Magnus XL happily pointed at Elita as he said, "She's my big sister!"

Robin, Raven, and Cyborg were confused as they looked at Silas as he explained, "They have a special bond like family."

Robin was still somewhat curious as he said, "That still doesn't explain why he acts like a little kid."

Silas spoke honestly as he said, "I'll admit he didn't turn out the way we planned. In terms of math and science he can think like a supercomputer, but as far as everything else goes he has the mind of an eight-year-old boy."

Raven looked at Beast Boy out of the corner of her eye as she said, "Sounds a lot like someone we know."

Beast Boy glared at her with an annoyed expression and then Cyborg folded his arms as he suspiciously asked, "So why'd you make him?"

Silas then showed a guilty expression as he confessed, "We were asked to help design a new weapon for the military using some of the alien technology we recovered."

The other Titans looked at Silas with surprise as Robin asked, "He's a weapon?"

Elita stood protectively in front of Magnus as she said, "No! Magnus is NOT a weapon!"

Silas agreed as he seriously said, "Agreed! He is much more than just that!"

Magnus showed a fierce expression as he said, "Yeah"

Raven narrowed her eyes with slight suspicion as she said, "But you just said…"

Silas interrupted as he shut his eyes and threw his hands out while saying, "I know, I know. Let me explain."

A flashback started showing Silas and Elita with a bunch of scientists as they worked on constructing Magnus XL's body. They finished before one scientist flipped a switch that brought him and then his face appeared on his screen as he looked around curiously.

While this happened Silas explained, "Nearly a year ago, we were hired to help design a new defense drone for the government by combining our own technology with some recovered alien technology. We managed to get it working but it didn't turn out the way we expected."

Magnus spoke with his voice as he looked at the scientists before looking at his hands while he said, "Who are you? Who am I? What am I?"

The scientists stared at him with their mouths agape while Elita stepped forward and kindly said, "Hello. My name is Elita, and your name is Magnus XL. You're a robot."

Magnus was somewhat confused as he said, "I'm a robot?"

He curiously looked down at his hands and activated two of his weapons, which were plasma cannons that came out of the backs of his forearms. He startled himself and all the scientists let out cries of fear while Silas held his arms out courageously and tried to calm them down.

While this happened Silas continued, "They wanted us to create a drone that would follow orders, but he developed a mind of his own. When he came online he was like a child who was lost and had no one to teach him, and in some ways that made him dangerous."

She held her arms out as she calmly said, "Magnus be careful! Those are dangerous weapons!"

Magnus was somewhat frightened as he said, "Weapons?! I have weapons?!"

Elita raised her hands a bit and tried to calm him down as she said, "Yes but don't be afraid. You don't have to use them if you don't want. Just deactivate them and we can keep talking."

Magnus deactivated his plasma cannons and seemed to let out a sigh of relief while everyone else let out heavy sighs of relief. Elita then started talking with Magnus while everyone else watched and Silas showed interest and fascination.

While this happened Silas went on, "Elita quickly formed a strong bond with Magnus as she seemed to imprint on him like a family member. I asked her to help guide Magnus and be his mentor, and he seems to care for her a lot."

The flashback ended and Elita smiled proudly as she stood with Magnus and said, "He's like the little brother I never had."

Cyborg couldn't help but smile as he said, "Okay, that's pretty sweet."

Silas spoke with respect as he said, "Under her tutelage Magnus has come a long way. He's almost human. He still has a lot to learn but he understands responsibility and truth."

Magnus smiled as he clinched his fists and excitedly said, "Yeah! When I get out of here I'm going to see the world and show them what I can really do!"

Silas smiled and chuckled nervously as he looked at him and Elita while he politely said, "Of course Magnus. Elita, could you two please excuse us for a moment?"

She nodded and escorted Magnus out of the room and Cyborg looked at his dad and deadpanned, "Okay dad, what's going on?"

He let out a weary sigh as he turned to him and confessed, "The board doesn't want us to let Magnus go. They want us to keep him here and continue the project."

Cyborg was somewhat angry as he held his hands out and said, "Dad he can't stay here forever! Robot or not he's person. He's gotta have a life!"

Starfire agreed as she sincerely said, "Agreed! He must have the freedom he needs if he is to grow and learn."

Silas showed a conflicted expression as he said, "I know but my superiors have ordered me to keep him here."

Robin showed a serious expression as he shook his head and said, "You can't let them keep him. They'll just want to use him to fight wars."

Silas was still uneasy as he said, "I know but I'm also afraid of what letting him go might mean. He's smart but he's still just a boy. Without supervision people will easily take advantage of him, and many will fear him because of his power. He's a good kid but without someone to guide him his power could bring disaster."

Raven then curiously asked, "What can he do?"

Silas pulled down blueprints for Magnus XL showing his features as he said, "Magnus XL was designed to operate in any environment. His intelligence makes him able to solve virtually any problem he's faced with. He's extremely strong and durable and equipped with various tools and features for accomplishing different tasks. He's also armed with powerful state of the art weapons that can defeat an entire army single-handedly."

Beast Boy was confused as he scratched his head and said, "So he's smart, strong, and he's got weapons, but he's still just a kid?"

Silas held his hands out as he explained, "He's still naïve and doesn't understand people or the world works. I can tell he has a good heart, but if set free into the world he might accidentally put himself or others in harm's way."

Robin held his chin in thought as he seriously said, "He definitely needs a mentor. Someone who can show him the path of good and protect him from those who would take advantage of him."

Starfire moved her hands around as she suggested, "Perhaps we can show him the path of good and teach him the ways of your world."

Raven looked at the others as she said, "We can't just make him come with us. Taking him away from his home and friends might upset him."

Silas showed a troubled expression as he added, "Yes, and I'm also worried about what Chang might do if he finds out about Magnus."

Cyborg then gently poked Silas with his finger as he seriously said, "Okay dad listen up, we'll make sure Chang doesn't get his hands on anything here, but I'm not gonna just sit by and let you make the same mistakes again."

Silas understood as he said, "Thank you Victor."

Cyborg turned and walked away; sometime later the Titans were in another lab as they talked with Elita and Magnus XL. Cyborg and Robin were talking with Magnus while Raven and Starfire spoke with Elita and Beast Boy was nosing around the lab.

Cyborg curiously asked, "So what kind of power cell do you use?"

Magnus smiled happily as he said, "I have a cool supercapacitor that runs on almost any form of energy. I have to recharge myself every twelve hours or so, but I can just plug into something and absorb electricity from it. I also need to conserve energy sometimes so I enter sleep mode."

Cyborg patted Magnus as he related, "Buddy, I know how you feel."

Meanwhile, Elita smiled at Raven and Starfire as she said, "And then Magnus pried the door open and helped the scientists escape the lab while we put out the fire."

Starfire happily clapped as she said, "A most heroic act!"

Raven showed a small smile as she said, "Sounds like you taught him well."

Elita showed a flattered smile as she blushed and said, "Yeah, I guess I did."

They all turned to Beast Boy as he asked, "Hey, what's this?"

They all looked at him as he was standing by a high-tech suit of armor that had a slim girlish figure and was the same size as Elita. The armor was mostly purple but with some small blue areas and certain parts were bright grey and there were some black spots too. The legs were thin and the boots somewhat looked like Elita's platform boots with blue lights on the toes and grey metal rings on the thighs. The armor seemed to have a flexible metal skirt that hung at the thighs and there was a blue circular light in the center of the breastplate. The arms had slightly big round shoulder pads with short grey "bolts" sticking out, and it had small grey rings on its upper arms. Her hands and forearms were thicker and rounder with grey fingers, and there were big round blue lights on the backs of the hands. The armor seemed to have a metal backpack attacked that most likely served as a storage compartment for the wearer. The helmet was roughly the same shape as Elita's head with an armored forehead with two short crests sticking up on the sides. The sides of the helmet had areas sticking out for the wearer's ears and there was a curved blue mouth plate with a point sticking up over where the nose would be. Between the helmet and the mouth plate was a completely black area with bright blue optics that had bluish white "pupils".

She walked to it and smiled as she answered, "Oh that's just a little side project I've been working on in my spare time. It's a prototype suit of armor I made with weapons and other useful features, but it's untested."

Magnus smiled as he encouraged, "I've seen you work on it and I can tell that it's perfect! Nothing will go wrong! You should use it!"

She showed a flattered smile as she modestly said, "Thanks Magnus, but just because it works doesn't mean it's perfect! I still need to see how well it does in the field. Make sure it handles well and that I can make good use of it."

Cyborg scanned it with his robot eye and showed an impressed expression as he said, "He's not wrong though. You've really done some good work on this."

She was flattered as she said, "Thanks Cyborg."

Raven then curiously cocked an eyebrow as she asked, "What exactly does it do?"

Elita smiled proudly as she pointed at different parts of it and said, "Well it can do lots of things. It's equipped with maglev boots that allow you to travel with blazing speed and even launch yourself in the air. It has electromagnetic gauntlets that you can use to move metal objects of different sizes. They're also equipped with energy swords and shields. The optics can help you see through different spectrums and shoot lasers. And it's equipped with a holographic generator and some other cool stuff."

Beast Boy smiled as he said, "Sweet!"

Robin was somewhat impressed as he said, "Nice work."

She was flattered as she said, "Thanks."

Raven then curiously asked, "But why did you make it?"

Elita then held her hand out toward Magnus as she solemnly said, "I made it for Magnus. To protect him in case anyone ever tries to hurt him."

Magnus smiled happily as he complimented, "Thanks Elita. You're the best."

She smiled sweetly at him when Beast Boy confusedly said, "Protect him? But he's strong and he's got tons of weapons. Shouldn't he protect you?"

Magnus looked away with a sad expression as he said, "I don't want to fight or hurt anyone. I know they made me to be a weapon, but I don't want to be one."

Beast Boy then looked at Magnus' jetpack and curiously asked, "Can you fly?"

Magnus glanced at his jetpack before showing uncertainty as he said, "I can, but I haven't done it yet. The scientists want me to stay in the building and they don't want me to fly indoors, they say something bad might happen."

Cyborg showed a serious expression as she said, "Kid, you gotta learn to make your own decisions. You can't stay cooped up in here forever."

Magnus showed a lack of confidence as he said, "It's not just that. I've never flown and I'm a little afraid to. I was designed to fly and I can calculate trajectories but I'm not sure I can really do it. Something might go wrong; I might crash and break something or hurt someone."

Robin kindly approached him and encouraged, "Sometimes you just have to take a chance and trust yourself. Just take a leap of faith and see what happens."

Magnus became more insecure as he said, "I'm not like the rest of you. I'm no hero. I'm not even human. Silas says I almost am but I know I'm not. I wish I was."

Raven had an honest face as she sarcastically said, "Well we can't help you there Pinnochio."

Beast Boy smirked as he pointed his thumb at Raven and joked, "Yeah, this blue fairy doesn't grant wishes."

Raven scowled in annoyance while Magnus frowned and sadly said, "I really do wish I was like the rest of you. You're all good, but I'm just bad."

Cyborg showed sympathy as he placed his hand on Magnus' chest and said, "Trust me big boy, you're not bad at all."

Magnus kept frowning when Robin came and sincerely said, "He's right Magnus. Weapons aren't necessarily good or bad, it depends how they're used. Anything can be a weapon, and sometimes we need weapons to protect ourselves and others."

He then insecurely said, "I'm not like you guys. I've seen you on TV a lot. I know you guys use your powers to fight bad guys and monsters, but I don't want to fight. I'd like to help people but I don't want to hurt anyone."

Cyborg lowered his hand as he wisely said, "Kid, life's complicated. Sometimes it doesn't go the way you want it to and you have to do things you don't like. There's not always an easy way out, and when that happens you gotta do things the hard way and do what you have to do. It might be dangerous but you gotta take the risk, because if you don't other people will get hurt."

Magnus glanced around in thought as he said, "Then maybe I am what they wanted me to be."

Cyborg smiled as he patted Magnus and said, "You're a lot more than just a weapon. My dad may do some bad things, but he's right about you."

Magnus then smiled and pointed at Cyborg as he said, "Yeah, and he made you too."

Elita desperately tried to hush him as she frantically yelled, "Magnus!"

The other Titans were surprised while Cyborg angrily asked, "How'd you know that?!"

Magnus was somewhat frightened as he answered, "He told us about you."

Cyborg groaned angrily and he turned to the others as Robin asked, "Cyborg, what does he mean by he made you?"

Cyborg did not want to answer as he denied, "Nothing."

They did not believe him as Raven looked at him and bluntly said, "Cyborg, you know they won't fall for that, and they won't give up until you tell them, so just make it easy for everyone and tell us the truth."

He groaned in frustration before turning to them as he said, "Fine!"

A closeup of his face was shown with a flashback rolling behind him showing Cyborg when he was human winning a high school football game. He celebrated with his team when his mom joined him, then a car was seen crashing into the side of another one before it exploded. Then Cyborg was seen unconscious as his father worked on his body before he woke up and opened his one human eye, then the flashback ended.

While this was all shown Cyborg stared at the audience with a bitter expression as he said, "About two years ago, when I was normal, when I was human, I was captain of my high school football team. One night we had this big game and I scored a touchdown to win this. My mom was really proud of me, but my dad didn't show up. That night, my mom was driving me home when we had an accident, an explosion. My mom didn't make it, but my dad saved my life by doing this to me. Because of him, my mom's gone and I'm more machine than man."

The other Titans stared at him in shock as Robin said, "Wow."

Cyborg folded his arms and pouted as he said, "There, now you know why I haven't spoken to him in so long."

Starfire put her hands over her heart as she sadly said, "I am most sorry Cyborg. That is most unfortunate for you to go through."

Cyborg looked down at his own hands as he bitterly said, "Yeah you can say that again. He used me as a lab rat and turned me into this!"

Beast Boy frowned before smiling as he raised his right finger and said, "That's rough dude, but hey look at the bright side."

Cyborg and Raven both glared at him as they simultaneously asked, "What bright side?!"

Beast Boy kept smiling as he answered, "If it weren't for your dad you'd have never met us and become a Titan!"

They were all shocked before Raven turned to Cyborg with a stunned expression and said, "I have to admit, Beast Boy has a point."

Cyborg glanced around in thought before he shrugged and said, "I guess so."

Starfire then happily put her hands together and said, "Yes! If not for your accident or treatment you would not be our friend today!"

Elita smiled as she raised her left finger and interjected, "And you've saved the world a few times."

Raven couldn't help but smile as she admitted, "When we first met you, you thought that you were a monster, but you're one of the strongest people I know."

Robin smiled as he held his hand out and happily said, "They're right Cyborg. Losing your mom in that accident was terrible, but think about everything that's happened since then."

Cyborg glanced to the side in thought as he briefly had flashbacks to the previous seasons and episodes of him and his friends.

He then smiled for a moment as he looked up before showing a serious expression as he said, "Yeah, I guess I do have a good life. But that doesn't change the fact that my mom's gone because of him!"

Robin held his hand out before turning his palm up as he calmly said, "No it doesn't but maybe it does make him deserve a second chance. You both lost your mom in that accident, and I'm sure he misses her as much as you do. But when he performed that procedure on you, he wanted to save his son's life, and he succeeded. Your mom might be gone but he gave you a new life with new gifts that you use to help others."

Magnus had a big smile on his face as he seemed somewhat inspired and added, "Like me!"

Cyborg looked to the side with an expression of mixed feelings as he shrugged and said, "I guess so."

Beast Boy smiled optimistically as he said, "So maybe you can bury the hatchet and patch things up with him."

He showed an uncertainty before stubbornly folding his arms as he said, "Thanks for the support guys but I'm not sure I can."

The others showed disappointment while Raven folded her arms and annoyedly said, "Boys can be so stubborn."

Elita smiled sassily as she said, "Amen sister."

Suddenly there was a loud crash and the whole building rumbled and everyone was startled as they looked around.

Magnus then asked, "What was that?!"

Silas suddenly ran in and looked at everyone as he hastily said, "Victor! We have an intruder alert! The outer west wall's been breached!"

Robin narrowed his eyes as he fiercely said, "Chang!"

Cyborg fiercely pointed his thumb at himself before looking at his team while saying, "Don't worry dad! We'll give them a warm welcome! Titans go!"

They all started running, except Starfire and Raven who flew, and Elita and Magnus were about to follow them.

Silas held out his hand to stop them as he urgently said, "Elita, Magnus, stay here! I'll let you both know when it's safe!"

He took off running to follow the Titans while the teenage girl and the robot looked at each other with concerned expressions. Elsewhere, a giant hole and been blown up in the outer wall of the building and Professor Chang's henchmen were starting to enter. They were all armed with different weapons and staffs to deal with the Titans, and they all wore their hazmat suits.

Professor Chang emerged from the smoke and looked around with an evil grin as he said, "Just like old times."

Suddenly a starbolt blasted one of his goons to the ground while another was encased in a sphere of Raven's dark energy and thrown at a third one. Beast Boy flew as a bird and landed in front of another of Chang's goons before changing into a donkey and kicking him with his hindlegs. Robin swung from a pipe on the ceiling and kicked one of the henchmen in the face with both feet before dropping to the floor. Cyborg blasted another with his sonic cannon before joining the group while his dad stood behind him and they all stared at Professor Chang.

He smiled twistedly as he said, "Ah Silas Stone, it's been so long."

Silas showed an unfriendly expression as he said, "Not long enough."

Chang smiled while he rubbed his hands together and sadistically said, "A family reunion, how touching. So good of you to be reunited with your son. A shame your wife isn't here to see it."

Both Cyborg and Silas glared at him with hatred when Robin pulled out his bo staff and said, "Here's your last warning Chang! Leave now before we take you and all your goons back to jail!"

He smiled confidently as he said, "Sorry good little boy, but I've come a long way for that device and I have big plans for it."

Cyborg charged his sonic cannon as he said, "Well you and your goons are gonna have to go through us first!"

Professor Chang had a devious grin as he said, "Wonderful idea! I'm so glad I brought my other inventions with me!"

Suddenly a red laser blast hit Starfire and knocked her out of the air while a bolt of lighting hit Raven and made her cry in pain. A long tube/tentacle came and hit Beast Boy, knocking him back as he fell to the floor before Robin heard something coming. He jumped out of the way as something crashed through the wall where he was standing and he and the others looked to see Steamroller. He stood up as he separated his arms and stood up with a glare, then he was joined by Atlas who smiled maniacally, then Overload appeared in a white flash of lightning. Kardiak floated down next to them and they all stood by Professor Chang and his goons in the giant hole in the wall. Silas was alarmed while the Titans had become concerned as they stared at all of the villains in shock as well.

Professor Chang smiled arrogantly as he clasped his hands together and coyly said, "You kids always do like your own dangerous toys, what do you think of mine?"

Commercial break

The Titans were shocked as Beast Boy pointed and said, "These dudes are your experiments?!"

Professor Chang smiled evilly as he referred to each one respectively while saying, "Yes green boy. These are some of my previous projects for the government. First I performed a procedure on a test subject and made Steamroller the cybernetic behemoth he is today. Then I used some alien technology and constructed Atlas, the perfect robot for fighter. I found a piece of broken alien technology and salvaged a working circuit board, experimenting with it and created Overload. Then I found some a piece of alien nanotechnology and brought it back online, and that technology was Kardiak."

Cyborg then angrily asked, "So you made four of our enemies!"

Chang smiled sinisterly as he rubbed his hands together and said, "Yes, none of them could be controlled by my superiors, but they'll help me get what I need to upgrade my latest invention."

Atlas evilly stared at Silas and said, "And I'll have my own new mechanic to replace my previous one."

Cyborg protected him as he fiercely yelled, "Sorry guys! Not gonna happen! Titans take em down!"

The Titans immediately charged forward and started fighting the bad guys while Chang stepped back with an evil grin. Raven and Starfire flew toward Overload but he shot a bolt of lighting and zapped them both before he flew over the building. They both flew after him as Starfire threw starbolts while Raven shot a beam of her dark energy at him. Beast Boy changed into a rhino and charged at Kardiak, knocking him back out the building, but he recovered and lashed his tubes at Beast Boy. He turned into a kangaroo and jumped over the tube before kicking him with both legs, but Kardiak knocked him away with one of his other tubes. Robin swung his bo staff at Professor Chang's henchmen as they tried to gang up on him, but none of them could lay a hand on him. Steamroller joined his arms together to form his roller and rolled it over Cyborg before knocking him aside and sending him crashing through a wall.

Silas was worried as he yelled, "Victor!"

Steamroller growled as he started walking toward Silas, but Cyborg blasted him with his sonic cannon before yelling in fury as he charged at him. He used his Jump Jets to launch himself at Steamroller and tackled him as they both went crashing through another wall. Silas watched until he was grabbed by his shirt and lifted off the ground by Atlas who smiled evilly as he was joined by Professor Chang.

He had his hands together as he smiled evilly and said, "Despite my brilliance, I'm going to need your help integrating the device into my new weapon."

Silas glared down at Chang as he defiantly said, "I'll never help you Chang!"

Atlas pulled him close with an evil smile and said, "Weak human! There is no mercy from Atlas!"

Silas was fearless as he said, "I'm not afraid of you! Go ahead! Do your worst! I'll still never help you!"

Chang had an arrogant smile as he said, "Oh how brave of you. But we have ways of making you help."

They both turned with grins and watched the Titans keep fighting the bad guys as Cyborg fought Steamroller and Robin fought Chang's goons. Outside Beast Boy kept fighting Kardiak while Raven and Starfire floated in the air and battled Overload. Starfire shot a ray of her starbolt energy at him and hit him but it seemed to have no effect on him as he absorbed it. He then stretched his arm out and swung it at Starfire, knocking her away and shocking her with electricity. He tried to hit her again but Raven protected her with a small wall of her black magic before joining Starfire.

Starfire stared at Overload and said, "Perhaps we should soak Overload with water to weaken him."

Raven looked around and said, "There's no water nearby, especially this high up. We'll have to do this the hard way. Azarath Metrion Zinthos!"

She shot a bolt of black lightning at Overload and it seemed to have a strange effect on him as he squirmed and fidgeted. His body returned to its usual shape and then he sparks of electricity surged from him toward the roof of S.T.A.R. Labs. He used electromagnetism to lift up magnetic objects and hurled them at them, Raven dodged them but a couple hit Starfire. Meanwhile, Beast Boy was on the ground fighting Kardiak, who floated about ten feet in the air as he swung two of his tubes at Beast Boy. Beast Boy dodged them both before he flew toward him as a bird, then he turned into an elephant and fell on top of Kardiak, slamming him into the ground. Kardiak's body was cracked, but he stretched his tube/tentacles out and threw away the green elephant. He got back up and his body healed as the cracks were patched up, then Beast Boy landed as an Ankylosaurus and swung his clubbed tail at him. He sent Kardiak crashing into a wall of the building, but then Kardiak pointed two of his tubes at Beast Boy while two more tubes sucked up large chunks of rubble. He vacuumed up big chunks of concrete and shot them out of his tubes at Beast Boy, who morphed into a mouse and scurried around to dodge them. Kardiak then had one of his tubes take the vague shape of a hand and tried to crush him, but Beast Boy morphed into a T-Rex and grabbed the tube in his mouth. He then ripped off the tube but Kardiak swung another tube at Beast Boy's face and knocked him to the ground before the tube reattached itself.

Beast Boy lied on the ground, human, and complained, "Dude! This guy's gonna give me a heart attack!"

Meanwhile Robin swung his bo staff and knocked out one of Chang's goons before another one shot a laser at him from his scepter. The laser hit Robin in his chest and knocked him into the wall behind him before he fell to the floor letting out a groan of pain. Robin urged himself back onto his feet as the same guy came at him, but Robin swung his bo and knocked the scepter out of the guy's hand. He jumped and kicked the guy to the floor before another of Chang's men came shot another laser that knocked the bo out of his hands. He then swung his scepter at Robin and knocked him down before he held it over his head and prepared to finish him. But Robin used his hands to spring him toward the guy with his legs out and he used the thrusters in his boots to blast the guard flat on his back. More guys came with weapons but Robin threw some flash bombs out that temporarily blinded them as they moved around in dizzy manners. He then ran at them and punched and kicked each of them, knocking them out, but then he noticed more coming as they readied their weapons.

Robin stood in a fighting stance as he seriously said, "Chang came prepared, so did I!"

He threw out his birdarangs and damaged some of the guys' weapons before he ran at them yelling in fury. Meanwhile Cyborg blasted his sonic cannon at Steamroller, and knocked him back into some large pipes behind him. Steamroller grunted before he zoomed forward with the treads in his feet. Cyborg just got up when Steamroller came at him and swung his right arm at him and "punched" him, sending Cyborg flying and crashing through another wall. He got up and growled in fury before he ran at Steamroller and jumped at him as he prepared to punch him. When he was about to hit him, Steamroller slammed both of his arms together against Cyborg from both sides, making him scream in pain. He fell to the ground and lost consciousness as Steamroller looked down at him just as Chang and Atlas came with Silas. Silas was worried while Steamroller bent over and lifted Cyborg up between his arms and held him to his chest to restrain him while he followed him and Chang. Meanwhile the rest of the Titans kept fighting Chang's henchmen and the rest of his creations, not knowing about Cyborg being captured. In the lab, Elita and Magnus were nervous as they glanced around, they could hear the fighting as loud noises made it through the walls.

Magnus nervously looked at Elita as he asked, "It sounds crazy out there. Who's winning?"

Elita shrugged as she honestly said, "I don't know, but I know how we can find out."

She used a personal computer to access the security cameras and she saw the Robin fighting the guys in hazmat suits along with Beast Boy fighting Kardiak and Starfire and Raven fighting Overload.

Elita was concerned as she said, "Looks they got their hands full."

Magnus then asked, "Where's Cyborg?"

She then looked at some other footage and found Cyborg being carried by Steamroller while Professor Chang stood with Silas. Atlas was taking the device they wanted before they all started walking away with more of Chang's goons following them.

Magnus was scared as he said, "Oh no! They've got him!"

Elita stared at the screen in shock as she said, "And they have the machine!"

Magnus then worriedly asked, "But where are they taking it?!"

Elita then typed and showed a different security camera image on the screen, which revealed a vehicle on the roof of the building.

She spoke urgently as she stared at the vehicle before turning to Magnus as she said, "That must be their getaway vehicle! We have to stop them! This is our moment Magnus!"

Magnus nodded, sometime later, Chang was with Silas on the roof as Steamroller still restrained Cyborg, who was desperately struggling but could not break free. They were by Chang's vehicle, which appeared to be a futuristic helicopter plane that was grey, black, and red. It had a long powerful weapon mounted on the bottom of it and they placed the device next to it and Chang's henchmen stood beside him.

Chang turned to Silas as he pointed at Cyborg threatened, "Now you will help me install this technology into my copter! With it powering my new fusion cannon, or your son will pay the price."

Atlas retracted his left hand and activated his laser cannon and pointed it at Cyborg's face with an evil grin.

Cyborg struggled as he fearlessly said, "Don't do it dad!"

Chang maniacally said, "Such a brave young boy. Perhaps we should reunite him with his mother."

Silas immediately caved in as he said, "Alright! You win! I'll help you!"

Chang smiled evilly as Silas helped him and some of his henchmen install the device to the bottom of his helicopter plane and hooked it up to the fusion cannon. Chang got in the cockpit and flipped switches and it made noises as the control panels lit up and he smiled evilly.

He then made his helicopter plane hover as he said, "Yes! It works!"

Silas then demanded, "Congratulations! Now let my son go!"

Chang smiled wickedly as he said, "Destroy him!"

Atlas was about to fire at Cyborg's face as Silas yelled, "No!"

Suddenly Magnus jumped at Atlas and tackled him away from Cyborg, then Elita came, hovering in the air as she skated with her maglev boots. She was in her battle suit as she glared at Steamroller before shooting two blue beams from her optics, knocking him back and causing him to release Cyborg. Cyborg then yelled in fury as he kicked Steamroller while using the sonic blaster in his foot, sending him flying back and tumbling across the roof. Atlas lifted Magnus over his head and threw him away as he landed next to Cyborg and Elita before getting on his feet.

Silas joined them as he said, "Magnus, Elita, what are you doing here?!"

Elita's mouth plate moved up and down as she answered, "We're here to help."

In his helicopter plane, Chang looked down as he spoke over a speaker and deviously said, "Interesting device Silas. Perhaps I'll take it off your hands, but now I shall prove my genius to the world! But first I'll make a demonstration of my might, and I think a test drive on this city should do nicely."

He started flying his helicopter plane away while Silas pointed and yelled, "We have to stop him!"

Cyborg looked at Steamroller, Atlas, and Chang's henchmen before turning to Magnus and Elita saying, "I'll take Chang, you handle these guys!"

He was about to leave when his dad came and said, "I'm going with you!"

Cyborg stubbornly denied, "No dad!"

Silas did not listen as he said, "You need my help Victor! I'm coming whether you want me to or not!"

Cyborg realized he had no time to argue, so they took off running while Elita and Magnus stayed and stared at the bad guys as Steamroller growled and Atlas smiled evilly.

Atlas pointed at her and clinched his fists while saying, "Destroy the human, the robot is mine!"

He charged forward and tackled Magnus while Chang's goons started firing red lasers from their staffs at Elita. She held her left arm up and activated a bright blue circular energy shield on the back of her hand that protected her from the beams. She then skated toward them using her maglev boots and swung her shield at some of the guys, knocking them out. She then held out her left hand and created a glowing blue electromagnetic field that pulled a staff out of one guy's hands and then she swung it and made it fly at another guy knocking him out. More guys aimed their weapons at her but she made three holograms of herself, and they all went in different directions. The guys shot lasers and destroyed the holograms by mistake, then Elita skated at them and punched them, knocking them out.

Steamroller stomped toward her and growled as she bravely said, "Okay big guy, let's dance."

Meanwhile Robin beat goons before going outside and saw Beast Boy fight Kardiak as a giant ground sloth but Kardiak grabbed him with his tubes and threw him away. Beast Boy tumbled and stopped near Robin before turning human, he got up and groaned before they both saw Kardiak floating toward them.

Robin had a sly grin on his face as he said, "Maybe we can clog his arteries. Stink bomb."

Beast Boy glanced to the side in thought before a grin appeared on his face as he smiled and turned into a crow and flew toward Kardiak. Kardiak sucked him up with one of his tubes, then Beast Boy was inside of him he changed into a skunk and started spraying the inside. He started crawling through the tubes and sprayed some more, filling Kardiak with the fowl smell before he changed into a fly. He got out of Kardiak's tube and buzzed in front of Robin's face just as Kardiak reached for Robin with one of his tubes.

Robin saw Beast Boy and smiled pulling out an explosive disc and said, "Time for a little heart burn."

He threw it and Kardiak foolishly sucked it up and when it was inside him, the disc blew up and combined with the spray and gas Beast Boy filled him with. Kardiak then exploded into pieces that scattered all over the place, but they glowed red and moved. Robin and Beast Boy knew he wasn't destroyed but it would take him a while to repair himself, so they smiled triumphantly.

Beast Boy then said, "Guess we broke his heart."

Up above, Raven and Starfire were still fighting Overload as he used electromagnetism to hurl more metal objects at them. Starfire destroyed some with rays of her starbolt energy while Raven held her hands out and used her telekinesis to move the rest aside. Overload shot two bolts of lightning from his arms and they narrowly dodged them before they both floated together and stared at him.

Starfire showed a serious expression as she suggested, "Perhaps we can defeat him with the Star Warp."

Raven nodded opening a portal of her black magic and Starfire flew into it; Raven closed the portal and opened another one inside Overload. Starfire appeared in him and was shocked but she then released a shockwave of her starbolt energy from her body. This destroyed Overload's electrical body and his circuit board head was falling before Raven encased it in her dark energy. Meanwhile Atlas and Magnus crashed through several floors before hitting the bottom floor as Atlas stood on Magnus. He tried to slam both his fists down but Magnus grabbed them and held them but struggled as his arms shook.

He then managed to force Atlas off of him before he got on his feet and said, "I don't want to fight you!"

Atlas smiled arrogantly as he said, "Then you will be destroyed, Atlas never backs down!"

He held his fists straight out to his sides while his upper body spun at highspeed with his legs and head staying in the same positions. He smiled evilly as he ran toward Magnus with his upper body still spinning and his fists smashed some things nearby. Meanwhile Professor Chang was flying his helicopter plane toward the city while the T-Car pursued it on the ground. He pushed a button and the fusion cannon charged before firing a purple ray that blasted a hole in the side of a building.

People ran from the falling rubble while Chang smiled evilly and said, "At last! Nothing can stop me!"

Silas was driving it while Cyborg rode in the passenger seat as Silas said, "This car is amazing!"

Cyborg remained focus as he said, "Yeah thanks dad, but we gotta stop Chang before he destroys the city! When I tell you, push the ejector seat! Now!"

Silas pushed a button and Cyborg was ejected from the T-Car, then he used his Jump Jets to launch himself toward the helicopter plane. He shot his right hand out on a cable and managed to grab the helicopter plane and reeled himself in before grabbing it. He started hitting it while Chang shook a bit and then looked and saw Cyborg hanging onto his vehicle.

Chang was vexed as said, "I know how to stop you!"

He turned around and started driving the helicopter plane back toward S.T.A.R. Labs with Cyborg hanging on while Silas followed in the T-Car. Meanwhile, Elita was still fighting Steamroller on the roof as she tried to stop him with her electromagnetic gauntlets. She held her hands out as a blue electromagnetic field covered Steamroller but he broke free and tried to smash her with his arms.

She looked up at him as she said, "I guess you don't have a magnetic personality."

He tried to stomp on her but she dodged him and then jumped at him while a small booster thruster came out of the back of her forearm. It helped her punch even harder as she hit Steamroller in the face and made him stumble backwards, but he only growled in anger. One of Chang's goons aimed his staff at Elita from behind but Robin came and kicked him in the face, knocking him down. Beast Boy, Starfire, and Raven joined in as they all started easily fighting the rest of Chang's henchmen while Elita kept fighting Steamroller. Meanwhile Magnus came crashing through an outer wall and landed outside before getting back up just as Atlas came out of the hole in the wall. He was holding two girders in his hands and smiled evilly as his hands spun at high speed, making the girders look like propellers. He ran at Magnus and swung the spinning girders at him while Magnus nervously dodged them, then he moved the laser cannons on his jetpack and pointed them at Atlas. He fired two blue rays that blasted Atlas back and made him drop the girders, but Magnus got back up with an evil grin.

Atlas aimed his right laser cannon and evilly said, "Promising, but that won't be enough to defeat Atlas!"

He fired a red blast that hit Magnus and knocked him down as he fell on his back, then Atlas curiously looked up at the roof and saw Elita fighting Steamroller. She fired her blue eyebeams at his chest but they didn't do much damage, so he tried to smash her with both his arms. She dodged him and skated behind him with her maglev gauntlets and he got angry as he saw her stop at the edge.

She stared at him and said, "You want me? Come and get me!"

Steamroller then crouched as he joined his arms together to form his roller and used his treads to drive toward her, ready to flatten her with his roller. She only disappeared when he hit her, as it was just a hologram, and Steamroller drove off the roof and fell over the edge. He tumbled through the air and made sounds of distress while separating his arms and he landed on his back, crushing a truck underneath him. He passed out and Elita smiled proudly as she came and looked at him, but then Atlas jumped onto the roof and grabbed her in his hand. He squeezed her as she cried in pain and formed her energy sword on the back of her right hand and tried to swing it at him.

Atlas grabbed her hand and said, "Your weapons are impressive, but no human defeats Atlas!"

Suddenly two grapples were shot at Atlas with gripping claws on the end as they grabbed his upper arms and yanked him back, causing him to drop Elita. Magnus had shot the grapples from the backs of his wrists and pulled Atlas down to the ground and tried to hold him.

He showed a sincere expression as he said, "Please! Don't hurt her! She didn't do anything to you!"

Atlas grabbed the cables and pulled on them as he swung Magnus and sent him crashing into a parked car, destroying it.

Magnus reeled in his grapples while Atlas stomped toward him and gloated, "You are as worthless as that human! They are inferior, but Atlas is perfect!"

Magnus got up and sincerely said, "Humans are better than machines!"

Atlas was disgusted as he ran at Magnus, yelling in rage before he punched him and sent him crashing into a tree.

Atlas spoke with disdain as he marched toward him and arrogantly said, "You are nothing! Atlas is superior! I'll destroy you, then her, and take that Silas Stone and force him to be my new mechanic!"

Magnus stood up and glared at Atlas as his eyes and mouth turned red as he said, "Okay, let's get real!"

He then used his jetpack and activated thrusters in both of his feet as he flew and grabbed Atlas before carrying him in the air. He threw Atlas down to the ground, forming a small crater, but Atlas got up and fired his left laser cannon at Magnus. Magnus dodged it and flew down at Atlas, but Atlas spun his upper body like a propeller and knocked Magnus away. He crashed but got back up and then made his plasma cannons come out of the backs of his forearms and then fired blue plasma blasts at Atlas. He hit every shot and sent Atlas flying back, but he got up and smiled arrogantly as he ran and jumped toward Magnus and tried to slam both fists on him. Magnus dodged them and then both his hands turned into wrecking balls and he hit Atlas in the face with both before kicking him back.

Atlas tumbled before he got up and arrogantly said, "Impressive, but how can you defeat Atlas?"

Magnus' hands returned to normal as he glared and proudly proclaimed, "I am Magnus XL!"

His chest opened up, revealing a powerful ion cannon inside, it was round looked almost spherical as it glowed blue. Magnus fired a powerful ion ray from his chest and it blasted Atlas, sending him crashing into a wall, thus defeating him. Elita was helping the other Titans fight Chang's remaining henchmen as she used her magnetic gauntlets to take away one's staff, then she kicked down.

They defeated them all and Robin said, "Well that's it for them."

Beast Boy then curiously asked, "Hey where's Cyborg?"

They looked around and Elita pointed Chang's helicopter plane approaching with Cyborg hanging on, then Chang yelled, "Alright metal boy, stand down now or I'll use my fusion cannon on your friends!"

Cyborg saw them and desperately yelled, "No!"

Chang smiled as he charged his fusion cannon and targeted the Titans and he was about to fire, but a blue plasma blast hit his helicopter plane. He lost control for a moment and missed his shot as the fusion ray caused an explosion in a nearby forest and they saw Magnus fly toward it.

Cyborg was shocked as he said, "Magnus! You're flying!"

He hovered by Cyborg and said, "Yeah, I'm here to help!"

Cyborg spoke seriously as he yelled, "Great! Help me land this thing!"

He nodded and flew over the helicopter plane and then flew straight down as he pressed his hands against it and sent it toward the ground. Chang desperately tried to stop it as he fired the fusion cannon twice and destroyed two things, but Cyborg smashed the fusion cannon with his fist before yanking a cable out. The helicopter plane crashed and the cockpit was damaged as Chang coughed while Magnus helped Cyborg onto his feet and the Titans came running.

Starfire smiled gleefully as she cheered, "Friends, we have done it! We are victorious!"

The T-Car pulled up while Silas yelled, "No we we're not!"

He parked it and ran to the vehicle and saw that the device to power it was damaged with sparks shooting from it.

He fearfully said, "It's going critical! It's going to explode!"

Cyborg came and frantically said, "He's right! It's gonna destroy the whole city! No one will survive!"

Robin then urgently said, "We have to get it out of here!"

Magnus then selflessly stepped forward and said, "I'll do it!"

Elita then frantically said, "What?! Magnus no! We'll find another way!"

Magnus knew this was the only way so he smiled sweetly at her, then he grabbed the device and carried it as he flew straight up as fast as he could. The device was making more noise and started glowing as it was going to explode soon, but Magnus kept flying as he went thousands of feet into the air.

He kept flying as he said to himself, "There's not always an easy way out, and when that happens you gotta do things the hard way and do what you have to do. It might be dangerous but you gotta take the risk, because if you don't other people will get hurt."

Hundreds of thousands of feet in the air the device exploded, lighting up the night sky as Silas speechlessly said, "He did it."

Elita's mask opened to show her face as she cried until Cyborg saw something crash down and they saw Magnus' body and they gathered to see him badly damaged and his screen black.

Sometime later, Magnus woke up in the lab, to see Elita looking at him as she said, "Magnus?"

Magnus looked at the others and said, "Elita? Did it work?"

She happily hugged Magnus as Cyborg smiled proudly and said, "Good as new."

Cyborg fixed Magnus and Robin congratulated, "You did it Magnus. You saved the city from the blast."

Silas came and smiled kindly as he said, "I told them Magnus perished in the explosion and nothing was left, so their plans for you are over."

Magnus was surprised as he said, "But when they come and see me they'll know."

Silas kept smiling as he sincerely said, "They won't know if you both leave. It's time you go out and live your lives. Magnus is a boy, not a weapon. He needs someone to guide him and that person is you. I want you to take him and go find a place where you can both be free and live like kids should."

Magnus was surprised as he said, "All by ourselves?"

Robin proudly gave them Communicators and said, "Not quite. If you're ever in trouble, give us a call."

Elita smiled happily as she said, "Awesome!"

Magnus looked at everyone with an emotional smile as he said, "Thanks everyone. This means a lot to me. I'll never forget you guys."

Sometime later, they were outside as Magnus took off flying as he carried Elita, who was in her battle suit as she cheered happily. They already turned Chang and all his henchmen over to the police and they were transporting them all away.

Silas then looked at Cyborg as he said, "I guess this is goodbye Victor."

Cyborg smiled as he said, "Yeah, hey listen dad. Thanks. For everything. You did good for Elita and Magnus, just like you did for me. If you want, you can come visit us sometime."

Silas smiled as he said, "I'd like that."

They hugged and then Silas said, "Before you go I have a something for you. An upgrade that could help you in a tight spot."

He gave him a computer chip and Cyborg smiled as he installed it in his head and said, "Thanks dad."

Silas smiled proudly as he said, "Keep up the good work, Cyborg."

He went back inside while Robin smiled and Robin grinned while Starfire giggled happily and Beast Boy affectionately pounded Cyborg's fist.

Cyborg smiled at them all as he proudly said, "Guess this trip wasn't such a bust after all."

Raven was impressed, Beast Boy smugly went to her with his hand out saying, "Told you! Now pay up!"

She sighed in defeat as she handed him some money, and Cyborg curiously asked, "What was that?"

Beast Boy smiled as he explained, "We bet ten bucks on whether or not you'd patch things up with your dad. I knew you could do it."

Cyborg was surprised as he pointed at Raven and said, "You didn't think I could."

Raven shrugged as she honestly said, "I knew you could eventually, I just didn't expect it this year."

Beast Boy smiled as he held the money in his hand and cheered, "Yeah but I did and I won!"

Raven started walking as she smirked at him and said, "Yeah, but you still owe me a hundred for our other bets. I'm keeping track."

Beast Boy scowled at her; sometime later Chang was in a dark cell when the janitor from S.T.A.R. Labs came and visited him, and Chang let out a small gasp as he recognized him.

The janitor seriously said, "Hello Chang. Amanda sent me. We want you to come back."

He smiled wickedly and said, "I thought you'd never ask."

Author's note: I thought it would be nice to have Cyborg's dad appear, and we'll see that upgrade later. You'll like it. Yes, I got the names for Elita and Magnus XL from Transformers, but I based Magnus XL off the Iron Giant. I wanted to have a big strong robot that acted like a kid. I also made some references to Transformers Animated, such as Elita's suit and some of the weapons they had. Also, I figured that Professor Chang creating Steamroller, Atlas, Overload, and Kardiak would be good origins for them. He made the others with alien technology but Steamroller was once a normal guy he turned into a cyborg, and the procedure damaged his brain. Also, Professor Chang once worked for Project Cadmus from the DCAU, Amanda Waller's bringing him back in. Those guys were some of their handywork, but they couldn't control them so they escaped and went rogue. Please review.
