Chapter 35: Race to the top

Kenshi and the members of Class 1A were racing on a rainbow to get to the top of the tower to stop the villains. Someone was watching them and contacted Shigaraki.

"Sir, we may have a bit of a problem. Some heroes are trying to get to the top to stop you from getting what you desire."

"Oh they think they can surprise me do they?" Shigaraki asked, "Well two can play at that game."

The students were still racing in their karts. Izuku's eyes started glowing.

"Deku, what's wrong?" Ochako asked.

"ATTACK!" shouted someone.

A group of guards were on karts of their own. They were trying to stop Class 1A from getting to their destination.

"Its an ambush!" Kenshi said, "Defensive positions!"

Some of the karts had weapons. KAtsuki's dune buggy had a cannon that fired explosions. Ochako's kart allowed her to levitate. Kenshi kept driving and saw the road was about to split into multiple paths.

"Split up!" he said.

Kenshi took one way, and was trailed by someone in a big car. It was one of the guys who worked for Norstein Corp, Goto Isumaji.

"You're a dead man boy!" he said.

Kenshi started doing a few drifts to gain a boost of speed and get away. He started drifting longer until he had pink sparks, then boosted, jumping ahead of him.

"Haha!" he said.

Izuku started firing air force pulse attacks at the villains tailing him while Mina fired Acid Missiles. Everyone was doing their part to keep the guards off their trail. Back in the virtual world, everyone was watching the students fight.

"They seem tough," Inko said.

"Yes, but I have faith that they can stop them," All Might told his wife, "But I am curious. What would be so valuable that Shigaraki would take the entire island captive to get it."

"That item….. Its something I've developed years ago," David said.

"Wait, what?" Melissa asked.

"Yes, its a device that could enhance the quirk of an individual ten fold without altering the mind or body," David said, "Years ago I created this and shared it with my colleagues. But they deemed the project too dangerous and ordered it to be shut down."

"But why?" Meliss asked.

"Out of fear. Fear that the device could fall into the wrong hands," David said, "Honestly its a good thing that Shigaraki is trying to steal it, because once we get it back… I can give it to you All Might."

"Me?" All Might asked.

"Don't think I didn't notice. Your quirk is disappearing isn't it?" David asked, "With this device you can go back to your prime days, even be better than that."

"Papa…" Melissa said, "I know you wanna help Uncle Might, but you don't have to worry. If he retires, more heroes will take his place. Take Izuku for example. He's his son, and his quirk is twice as strong! There's no need to try and maintain the status quo when new heroes will step up and fill in the shoes of Uncle Might."

Back on the Rainbow Road, Goto was following Kenshi still hot on his trail.

"I can't shake this guy!"

"Have fun in hell!"

He fired a homing missile at Kenshi hitting his kart. Kenshi didn't have time to react, and so he took the hit. He was free falling, and tried to pull out an item. Before he could do so, he landed on a rocket, being piloted by Hayate.

"Hayate?!" Kenshi asked.

"Didn't think I'd let you have all the fun did ya?" he asked.

"Rocketbarrel racing? You sir are a genius!" Kenshi said.

"Scratch my back, I scratch yours! Now we're even!" Hayate said.

The villains were starting to catch up to the students. Izuku jumped off his kart before one of them crashed into him. He landed on the 100th floor alongside Ochako. The monitors were showing the guards tormenting the staff and the heroes in the main room. Inko knew her son would save them, but she knew she had to step up as well.

"Enough is enough!" Inko said, "I've had it with these motherfucking villains, on this motherfucking island!"

Everyone was shocked to hear Inko speak in such vulgar language.

"Suit up Toshi," Inko said, "We're about to open some fucking windows."

Kenshi and Hayate were flying over to the building. Goto was chasing them down. Kenshi smirked as he had an ace up his sleeve. He pulled out a special item that is hated by many racing gamers.

"BLUE SHELL!"

He threw the blue shell at Goto and an explosion emerged. Kenshi saw the building they were going to.

"There it is!" Kenshi said.

They were going over to the 200th floor. However their destination was cut short as people started firing at them. One of the shots hit the rocket and it malfunctioned, going down. Hayate grabbed Kenshi and jumped off. The two of them landed near a group of guards.

"Wanna do this?" Kenshi asked.

"Yes I do," Hayate said.

Kenshi pulled out two item blocks and gave one to Hayate. Hayate got a fire flower while Kenshi got the Super Mushroom. Hayate's fur turned red and he had fire in his hands.

"YES! Fire!" Hayate said.

Kenshi ate the mushroom and grew in size. He started pummeling some of the guards while Hayate threw balls of fire at other guards. The two of them worked together to take down their foes. Izuku and Ochako were rushing down the hall. Some guards were running. One of them closed the walls to trap them. Izuku remembered something about the Gauntlet he had on. He flared Full Cowling and jumped at the door. The instant he started to punch the door, he raised the power to 100% and broke the barrier.

"Deku that's amazing! You used full power of One For All?!"

"Yea its thanks to this glove that Melissa made me," Izuku said, "Of course I didn't know how to get it off."

They continued rushing up to the 200th floor. Someone was waiting there to ambush them when he had the chance. Izuku's eyes started to glow.

"Ochako look out!"

He pulled her out of the way using blackwhip, just before the guard could catch her. His quirk allowed him to create swords from his hands.

"You kids picked the wrong day to play hero," he said, "Now come quietly and nothing will-"

He was interrupted by a fast paced punch. Melissa jumped out, fully dressed in her battle armor. Izuku was impressed by this.

"That armor really does wonders doesn't it?" Ochako asked.

"Sure does," Melissa said.

She was interrupted by a high pitched scream. It was a Nomu in the shape of some kind of creature. Before it could attack, something was repelled at it. Izuku turned to see his mom in a hero costume.

"Wait… Mom?!" he asked.

"Don't get distracted Izuku that things still going!"

The Nomu got back up. Izuku flared Full Cowl at 50% and Melissa charged up power on her suit. The two of them started throwing fast paced punches and kicks at it while Inko repelled objects to distract it.

"Ready?" Izuku asked, "NOW!"

"Detroit SMASH!"

The two of them punched the Nomu hard, sending it flying and falling down to the ground.

"Don't think its getting back up," Inko said.

"Mom…. this whole time you were a hero?" Izuku asked.

"Yea, but I didn't have much missions before you were born," Inko said, "Now I have a reason to wear this costume again. Though it is a bit tight around the-"

"Mom, not in front of the kids!" Izuku said.

"Right," Inko said.

The four of them continued to race to the 200th floor, taking care of anyone who tried to stop them. The others were in different floors, hoping some of their friends made it to their destination.

Kenshi punched the last guard in the face.

"Alright that takes care of them," Kenshi said, "Now let's-"

He was punched hard by something, and lost his powerup. Hayate was knocked out as well, losing the fire power. Someone was walking up to them. It was Goto who somehow survived the explosion.

"You really thought that blue shell was gonna stop me?" he asked.

He snapped his fingers and an army of Nomu appeared to halt Kenshi and Hayate's progress.

"Show me your blood!" he said.
