"It's ok Misty," Ash says. "And besides I know the perfect way to end the day,"
"And what's that," Misty asks.
"With a battle," Ash says, with excitement in his eyes.
Misty's Thoughts
"Oh Ash always wanting to battle," "He had so much determination, one of the reasons I liked him so much,"
Normal POV
"Sure Ash we can battle," Misty says. "I've been wanting to battle you after you became champion,"
"Great," Ash says.
"Uh Ash, before you two battle, I need to talk to Misty for a bit," Brock tells Ash, as he and Misty walk over to the side.
"Yes Brock," Misty asks.
"When are you gonna tell him," Brock asks.
"Um I will soon, just need to find the right time," Misty tells him nervously.
"Well Misty I'll help you out," Brock says.
"How exactly," Misty asks
"I'll just have a talk with him," Brock tells her.
"You not gonna," Misty says, before being cut off.
"No I'm not gonna tell him, I'll leave that to you," Brock says. "I'm just gonna have the talk bros have,"
"Uh ok then," Misty says confused and weirded out by what Brock said, and walks over to Ash.
Ash's Thoughts
"Oh I can't wait to battle Misty," "I'm always excited to battle but I'm even more excited for this battle," "Misty was so incredible today defeating Team Rocket, so I can't wait to see her skills,"
"But for some reason I feel like I'm noticing her battling skills more, yeah I always knew she was a great trainer but something felt different today when she was battling Team Rocket," "She was so awesome, that I was staring in amazement at her, hmm I wonder what this means, but can't think about it now, she's coming back,"
Normal POV
"Ok Ash ready," Misty asks, as she walks back towards Ash.
"Yep Misty, I'm ready," Ash says, holding his pokeball.
"Ok guys, I'll be the judge," Brock says, as he gets in position. "Ok you two, send out your Pokémon,"
"Come out my sweet Gyarados," Misty says, as she throws her Pokeball.
"Gyarados,"
"Ok Charizard I choose you," Ash says as he sends out Charizard.
"Charizard,"
"Ok let the battle begin," Brock says.
"Ok Gyarados, use Hydro Pump," Misty commands.
"Dodge it Charizard," Ash commands as his Charizard dodges the attack. "Now use Air Slash," Charizard uses Air Slash and hits Gyarados.
"Nice move Ash," Misty says. "But that won't stop us, use Aqua Tail Gyarados,"
"Block it Charizard," Ash says, as Charizard blocks the move. "Now use Flamethrower,"
"Dodge it Gyarados," Misty says, as Gyarados dodges the attack. "Use Crunch Gyarados,"
Gyarados uses Crunch and hits Charizard.
Ash's Thoughts
"Wow Misty's Gyarados sure is powerful, Misty trained it really well, she's an amazing trainer,"
Normal POV
"Charizard,"
"Ok Charizard, use Air Slash," Ash says.
"Take the hit Gyarados, then use Hydro Pump," Misty says.
Charizard uses Air Slash, but Charizard takes the hit, then uses Hydro Pump.
"Dodge it by flying," Ash says, as Charizard dodges the attack. "Now get in close,"
"Stop Charizard with Hydro Pump," Misty says.
"Dodge it and get close," Ash says, as Charizard dodges the Hydro Pumps. "Now use Dragon Claw,"
Charizard uses Dragon Claw, and hits Gyrados right in the face.
"Now Air Slash," Ash says, as Charizard hits Gyarados again, but Gyarados tanks the move and comes in with a crunch, hitting Charizard.
"Now Aqua Tail," Misty says, to Gyarados as it uses Aqua Tail.
"Dodge it Charizard," Ash says, as Charizard dodges Gyarados. "Now use Flamethrower,"
Charizard uses Flamethrower and hits Gyarados.
"Hmm I think it's time," Misty says, as she shows off her mega stone on her hair.
"Here it comes Charizard," Ash says. "Pika,"
"Strongly, valiantly, beautifully," Misty says, as she mega evolves her Gyarados. "My sweet blue heart, Mega Evolution," Gyarados transforms and Mega Evolves.
"Ok Charizard, use Air Slash," Ash says, as Charizard uses the move.
"Hydro Pump Gyarados," Misty says.
Gyarados fires off a powerful Hydro Pump that Charizard can't even dodge.
"Woah, that was some incredible power," Ash says. "That was awesome,"
"Thanks Ash," Misty says with a blush on her face. "Well use Crunch Gyarados,"
"Uh oh, use Dragon Claw Charizard," Ash says, as both Pokemon collide with each other.
"Now Hyper Beam," Misty says.
"Hyper Beam," Ash says shocked. "Dodge it,"
Gyarados uses Hyper Beam but Charizard dodges.
"Now Dragon Claw," Ash says.
Charizard uses Dragon Claw, while Gyarados is unable to attack and does a lot of damage.
"Crunch Gyarados," Misty says, as her Pokemon is able to attack again, and hits Charizard with Crunch. "Now finish this with Aqua Tail," Misty commands, but surprisingly Ash is smiling about this. "I know that smile, Ash is up to something,"
"Let Gyarados get close, and use Seismic Toss on its tail," Ash says.
Gyarados uses Aqua Tail, but Charizard grabs its tail and uses Seismic Toss, slamming the water dragon on the ground.
"Ok Charizard now use Dragon Claw," Ash says.
"Hurry Gyarados, use Hyper Beam," Misty says.
Charizard hits Gyarados with Dragon Claw, but Gyarados is still able to use Hyper Beam, and causes an explosion. As the smoke clears, it's revealed both Charizard and Gyarados have fainted.
"Both Gyarados and Charizard are unable to battle, meaning this battle is a draw," Brock says.
Misty's Thoughts
"There's the Ash I remember, with his unexpected Strategies, throwing me off," "Yep there's the Ash I fell for,"
Ash's Thoughts
"That battle was amazing," "Misty Gyarados is so strong, and she was so breathtaking in the battle," "I was getting a bit distracted by how amazing she was,"
Normal POV
"That was a great battle between you two," Brock tells them.
"Yeah it was Misty," Ash says, holding his hand out for a handshake.
"Yep," Misty says, as she grabs his hand, causing her to slightly blush.
"Well let's go to the pokecenter guys," Brock tells them, as all 4 of them go. They arrive at the pokecenter, and give Nurse Joy their Pokemon, and sit down as they wait for the treatment to be down.
"Hey Ash," Brock says.
"Yes Brock," Ash responds.
"Can I talk to you, real quick," Brock asks.
"Uh Sure," Ash says, confused on what Brock wants to talk about.
"Ok," Brock says, as he winks at Misty.
"Oh Brock please don't mess this up," Misty says worriedly, as Pikachu jumps on her shoulder.
"Yes Brock," Ash says.
"Have you felt different since you got here," Brock asks.
"What do you mean," Ash asks.
"Like have you felt different around Misty," Brock asks.
"Yeah actually I have," Ash says, finally catching on to what Brock is saying. "I've been more excited to see her, and more happy around her, and I find myself lost when looking at her,"
"I think I might know what is causing this," Brock tells him.
"What is it," Ash asks.
"Well I think you might have feelings for Misty," Brock says.
"Feeling," Ash says confused.
"Feelings means that you might love Misty," Brock tells Ash.
"LOVE MISTY," Ash says, shocked.
"Hey hey calm down, it's just a theory," Brock says. "Though it explains everything, have you ever felt this way with a girl before,"
"Well there was this one girl Serena," Ash says. "She kissed me but still I never felt like this around her,"
"Then I think my theory is right, you love Misty," Brock says. "So do you want to tell her your feeling now,"
"Ash Ketchum, your Pokémon have been treated," Nurse Joy says.
"Thanks Nurse Joy," Ash says as he grabs his pokeball.
"So Ash are you," Brock asks.
"Not yet Brock," Ash says. "I have some thinking to do, come on Pikachu," Ash then walks out the Pokémon center, and walks home.
"Argh Brock," Misty says, angrily.
"I don't know what I did wrong, I thought that would work," Brock says, still confused.
"Ugh, just leave this to me," Misty says.
