Floating through the interdimensional rift created by Citadel's fear portal, the two brothers traveled through interdimensional space to reach their designated mission location.
As they made their way, the journey was relatively silent as the ambiance of the spatial ebbs and the inverted nature of the esoteric environment made up for the void of conversation.
That was until the elder brother broke the ice.
"Do you think you're up to par?" The formal VPU inquired, giving his younger brother a dull look.
"What do you think? Those losers couldn't beat me if they tried their hardest." Withholding the urge to laugh, Xero responded confidently.
"You saw the same footage I did. They're not as weak as the first time you entered Hyperdimension. Are you sure you can handle it, Xero?" Citadel's eyes narrowed, seeing that his brother did not take the situation seriously.
"So what? Gris and Nebula still can't compare to my HDD, and that blonde virgin only went in a simulation against you. The humans are fodder, and the goddesses are still trapped. Even if somehow the alien overwhelms me, I'll just piss them off and feed off their negativity." Shrugging, the edgy bastard didn't deem the matter important to delve deep into his methodology of carrying out the mission.
"..." Citadel remained quiet at his brother's explanation. It wasn't as if he wasn't taking any heed, yet he still felt bothered that his sibling didn't give the second chance their superiors bestowed him as seriously as he should.
"Fine. But before we reach Hyperdimension, answer this." Citadel peered ahead as he rephrased his question mentally several times.
"Shoot." Xero spat, uninterested yet willing to respond while scratching his chin.
"Do you believe you will win against them?" Turning his gaze to the edgy VPU, the taller fearsome deity inquired in a cold tone.
"I will win." His interest suddenly being piqued, a demented sense of glee could be seen on Xero's face. "I'd feel pity for them if I were capable. Gahahahahaha!..."
...
..
.
The skies were clear.
For the first time since the Gamindustri Graveyard's upheaval from the ocean, not a single cloud was present in the pastel blue skies that spanned the firmament of Gamindustri.
It spread throughout the entire continent and subcontinent, with a clear view of the sky that every citizen of Hyperdimension could witness.
Static permeated the entire island, with the discharging of residual energy from Edge Heart's EXE Drive being impossible to miss.
Even the elder VPU's containement box had been overwhelmed by such a powerful attack, allowing even the denizens of the graveyard to witness the unforeseen event.
The explosion that rocked the entire floating landmass was seen from space as a sizeable portion of the planet was consumed in black for several seconds before eventually turning into the charged aftermath.
DISPELL!...
Kars' shield was disbanded, revealing the unscathed party as they got to their feet.
"Since when can a GPU do that...!?" Ram was at a loss of the power that Edge Heart showcased, being the same person who treated her less than friendly in his human form which only made her slightly sweat at the notion.
"Not the one on the ground, that's for sure." AL grew pale before looking at his best friend, seeing his condition slowly worsening as the little muscle he had left was starting to leave him.
"Is this a Lastation thing, or?..." Accelerator inquired, curious to pinpoint what exactly caused the floating deity to contain such power.
"I wish!..." Uni spoke up, her face showing genuine shock with comical circles. "Then me and my sister would be up there fighting with him!" The CPU Candidate of Lastation summarized the scenario of that being true.
"He does put us in a brilliant light if that's the question you ask about the source of his power." Noire became smug at the thought of his heritage being a vital reason for his strength.
"Didn't he say that it was because he kills people?" Domio raised a brow, causing the CPU of Lastation's face to fall to a flat look at the Loweean warlock.
"Way to ruin the mood, Domio." Noire blinked at the teenager, slightly annoyed at the casting aside of her nation's indirect praise.
"Oops." The lad blurted, slightly embarrassed at his unknowing folly as he scratched the back of his head.
"But what hat about that Xero jerk? Pretty sure we're gonna have to call him Zero from now on since there's NO WAY he survived that with any HP left." Neptune chimed in, getting the group thinking about the fate of the VPU.
"I'm hard-pressed to believe he survived that off his merit after Gris beat him as much as he did." Nepgear agreed with her sister's judgment of the evil deity's status.
"Does that mean we're finally out of the woods of villainy?!" Nisa inquired, her voice trembling with hope after all she had laid witness to in the past hour from the terrible acts of Xero.
"..." Vergo chose to stay quiet, his mind refusing to let him believe that Xero was out of the picture.
It'd be far too ideal.
Something in the recesses of his mind told him that the bastard was far from dead. His eyes saw that everyone started to let their guard down after the stellar show that Edge Heart put up to purge the VPU from the world.
Yet only the Ultimate Life Form shared the quiet resentment of thinking his presence was utterly scrubbed off the face of Gamindustri.
"...Kars, you sense it too, don't you?" The time traveler spoke.
"I became aware as soon as Citadel moved from his chair." The Ultimate Life Form told the blonde.
"Wait, he moved?" Vert turned her gaze to the plastic throne before her eyes widened upon the alien's words being confirmed.
"What the heck? When did he do that!" Blanc was taken aback by the elder VPU's sudden movement.
"Then that must mean...!" 5pb.'s gaze motioned to the last place that Xero was seen.
"We were so close!..." MAGES. was astonished as she was disheartened by the result of the monumental attack.
...!
The standing form of Citadel with his hand outstretched stood between his downed brother and the floating Edge Heart with his eyes narrowed. His sleeve was completely blown off from the attack, yet his body showed no signs of damage, nor activation of fear.
"His sleeve is gone yet no damage was done?" Gust was confused at the sight she took in.
"Then it was fear energy!..." Rom deduced, remembering how it had allowed Xero to withstand so many attacks.
"I didn't sense any use from him," Kars told the blue CPU Candidate. "It seems that he withstood it with physicality alone." The alien confirmed a grim reality.
"HE TANKED THAT?!" AL shouted while miffed and spooked all the same.
"Oh no... This gonna be real bad!..." Compa became fretful about the outcome of the fight if the brother of the meanie who beat up her friends was powerful enough to do that.
"My, I did not expect this to be the outcome of my EXE Drive."
DESCEND!...
Edge Heart descended from the skies before landing a ways away from the experienced VPU, his eyes mimicking the elder deity as the two gods glared at each other.
"Tch!... Damn it...!" Reverted to his human form, Xero held his half-destroyed body in pain from the overpowering attack that he almost took the full brunt of, that courtesy going to his brother.
"Can you move?" Citadel asked his younger sibling, still on the floor writhing in abject torment from the beating that the divine assassin doled.
"No! I can't move! I can barely fucking speak thanks to the paralysis!"
"Does not sound like it." Both Citadel and Edge Heart uttered simultaneously.
"Both of you kill yourselves!" Xero screamed defiantly before the conversation moved on from his agony-filled remarks.
"Then that means the mix of shares and paralysis inducement most likely inhibited your ability to regenerate at any capacity." Citadel pieced together, as a hand went into his pocket sans his thumb.
"So what you are implying, is that your brother can't fight his own battles? Since he should be dead right now." Putting his scythe on his shoulder, the regal GPU raised a brow.
"Unfortunately for him, yes!..." Citadel admitted quite lightly at his growling brother's expense. "...Fortunately for me, I don't have that problem. Unfortunately for you, I don't have that problem." He repeated himself, a double entendre forming from the sentence's repetition.
"Hoh?" Furrowing his brows, the GPU was interested in his words.
'Shit. I wasn't planning to fight Citadel directly for a long time considering Vergo's history. But this early matchup might cost me a lot more than my aura farming ways. One could say I aimed for the stars and fell into a black hole...!'
Internally, Edge Heart was disturbed at the titanic prospect, knowing he was far too weak to push the borderline eldritch tier VPU in any feasible regard.
TELEPORT!...
Before either god could engage, a third combatant made themselves known through the act of a teleportation spell.
"Then you won't have a problem with another intervening?" Kars stood next to the edgy GPU, as he rolled his blazer's sleeves.
"Kars?" The regal GPU was taken aback by the Pillarman's sudden appearance. It was unlike him to pester himself with the affairs of anyone other than himself s his sudden interference was jarring for the surviving GPU.
"The alien. How about you morph into an ant so I can squash you like the bug you are." Citadel began creaking his neck from side to side, warming up his muscles for what he expected to be a lackluster encounter.
"Don't get cocky, VPU. Lest you end up like your beloved brother!"
-MORPH!
Kars' skin became that of a diabolical ironclad beetle's shell as the complexion of the Ultimate Life Form became a charcoal-like color as his dermis layers mimicked the complex lateral support structures that connected the elytra of the mimicked insect.
The insect's body was able to withstand 39,000 times its body weight with this shell-like layer, but Kars could easily withstand orders of magnitudes of force beyond that with his superior physiology.
-GENERATE!
Next was the chitin exoskeleton of a dung beetle that clung onto his body, mimicking the color of his skin while being a slightly darker grey in contrast. This allowed his strength to magnify 1,100 times by the even distribution of weight on the superior being's body before being further augmented by myriads due to his status as the ULF.
-SPROUT!
Thereafter were the chitin wings of a horsefly, sprouting from his scapulas before flapping with enough force to generate a small gust of wind relative to the towering size of Kars. Already touted for being the fastest insect back on Earth, these wings were his which entailed scores of orders of magnitudes above his already blitzing running speed.
-DILATE!
Kars' eyes soon became similar to a dragonfly's, with several tens of thousands of pupils across the surface area of his visible eyeball. Heightening his reaction time to both adapt to his increased speed AND keep track of Citadel's movements considering the elder VPU's status.
With that, the transformation of Kars' body to that of an insectoid-hybrid was complete.
"Insectum Evolutio." Kars' voice announced his metamorphosis into the Ultimate Insect was complete.
"...You must really be committed to getting stomped out, huh?" Citadel for the first time in a long time felt the urge to smile.
"And seeing you break every bone in your foot? By all means, take your last step." The alien implored the elder VPU to do just that.
APPEAR!-
-WOOOOSH!...
Yet another individual decided to take their step into the ring, the wind roaring through the area with their speedy arrival.
ドドドド!
"..."
Vergo rushed to the battlefield, his face dark and blue cerulean eyes scathing with hatred to the man before him.
"Vergo!" Edge Heart and Kars shouted before the elder VPU turned to the blonde CPU Candidate.
"Well well well. I'd assume you'd stay back after what Xero did to you." Citadel was slightly surprised by the time traveler's willingness to fight.
"My nation was destroyed because of you. My sister and Oracle were KILLED because of you...! There's no way IN HELL I'd pass up the chance to KICK YOUR SORRY ASS!" Yelling, his hair flapped wildly as the circulation around his feet developed into a swirl of wind.
"Really? I don't remember- Oh! You're referring to the future." Realization flashed across the formal VPU's face.
"...You think you're fockin' funny, mate."
CHING!...
Vergo's hair grew raven. Armament's activation set in, and his strands systematically blackened. A dark glare pierced through his bangs.
"But I've yet to make my joke." Citadel raised a finger in objection.
"How funny would it be if history repeated itself with your sister right here, right now?" A rare smile flashed across Citadel's lips, inciting that he might actually make the appalling suggestion.
"GRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!"
Roaring at the top of his lungs, a Hellish Holler erupted from the livid time-traveling CPU Candidate as his hair flapped wildly and eyes whitened from rage. The two friendlies of the green CPU braced from the immense pressure his vocal cords released, subsequent shockwaves resounding with the rumbling ground to boot.
-EXPLODE!
A white light destructively expanded from the raven-haired CPU, before the GPU beside him recognized the medium that practically exploded out of the CPU Candidate's body during his furious breakdown.
'Share energy!... But in this manner?!' Edge Heart silently gawked at the actions of his ally's energy reserves.
FADE!...
The light faded thereafter, revealing Future Heart, who breathed heavily as steam flowed from his clenched teeth and nostrils. His purple eyes shook with barely restrained animosity.
"My entire purpose here is to prevent you from doing anything like that EVER AGAIN...!" Speaking through a snarled expression, the transformed Leanboxian CPU Candidate immediately confronted the VPU on that topic.
"What, the part when I gave you Vert's tits in a bag? Honestly, I don't see you preventing that from happening." Dismissing the possibility of Vergo even attempting to stop him only infuriated the share-deity even more.
"Then stop all three of us." Edge Heart interjected before bringing his gunscythe to his side. "If you're that much stronger than Xero, we shouldn't faze you in the slightest." He boasted a snigger at the end of his sentence.
"You're right."

.
A pulse of Citadel's fear energy was enough to wipe the smirk off the GPU's face before the three warriors recoiled with cold sweat from the abominable- no, ELDRITCH sensation of fear energy that Citadel released.
"G-Gah...!" Noire sputtered. "Tch!..." Uni hissed. " "Oof!" Nisa guttered. "Ack!" Gust fell over. "Urgh!" MAGES. fell to her knees.
"It's far too much!..." Vert heaved. "Damn it!" Blanc swore. "Kyaa!" Rom squeaked. "Agh!" Ram shouted. "Geez!" 5pb. succumbed.
"My leg!" Neptune outright blurted. "Goodness!..." Nepgear exclaimed. "This power!..." IF crumpled. "Gaaaah!" Compa squealed.
The party members stood keeled from the sensation of Citadel's energy despite his distance from them, a testament to his strength when he had not even lifted a finger.
"Even if this is the second time... It's still unreal!" AL shuddered.
"How can a VPU even get that strong?!" Domio shivered.
Only those who encountered fear energy before were spared, yet they still found it incredibly difficult to withstand despite having been before Citadel in the past.
"This guy...!" Huffing, the esper gripped his chest. He never had to reflect something with such an antagonistic nature to reality itself, and that was saying something considering the things he'd done in this world so far.
Accelerator was a peculiar case, as his vector shield's activation managed to halt the majority of the fear's radiation, yet the pejorative sensation remained.
"So charge with all of your might, so that you may be eclipsed by the faintest notion of mine." Citadel implored before spreading his arms, not even bothering to summon his fearsome aura.
"IMPERIOUS BASTAAAAAAAARD!"
-VOOM!
Having enough of the demeaning language of one of the monsters he hated most, Future Heart didn't even bother to summon his lance as he plunged head-first with his flight processors ushering him forward at insane speeds.
"Don't do it!" Edge Heart shouted, stretching a hand forward in a desperate plea.
"Vergo, NO!" Kars yelled, his hand also moving forward to signal his apprehension.

CHING!
"FILIBUSTER WOLF!" Blackening his arms in Armament, the CPU Candidate prepared his arms to launch a devastating inferno of ebony flames.
FWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSH!
Citadel and Xero's positions were engulfed in a vortex of obsidian fire that blasted through the battlefield with enough force to shake the entire island. The propulsion blew the godling back as his momentum was neutralized right before the last place the VPU was seen.
CLUTCH!
-EXTINGUISH!
"!?" The raven-haired CPU Candidate felt his face grabbed by Citadel's hand, that sole action managing to neutralize his blaze of fury that was the Filibuster Wolf.
"You really are as green as your nation's colors." The elder VPU stood unfazed by his aggressor's attack while managing to lift him off the ground despite being a few inches shorter.
"MMMMF!"
BIFF! BIFF! BIFF! BIFF!
Screaming through the elder deity's hand, Future Heart kicked in his face repeatedly, frantically trying to disorient him and escape his vice grip.
BIFF! BIFF! BIFF! BIFF!
"..."
Yet the blows were rendered ineffective as the aged VPU simply ate each foot for breakfast without so much as blinking with each strike.
-SLAM!-
"MMMMMFGH!" A muffled cry of pain originated from the groundslammed CPU Candidate as his eyes shut in agony before widening with the sharp sensation of the ground bashing his skull.
"Much too easy for you to drown in fury; Your emotions leave you wide open." The VPU perceived his victim's folly before acting on the vulnerable CPU Candidate's state.
THROW!
TUMBLE!-TUMBLE!-TUMBLE!-TUMBLE!-TUMBLE!-TUMBLE!-TUMBLE!-TUMBLE!-TUMBLE!-TUMBLE!-TUMBLE!-TUMBLE!-TUMBLE!-TUMBLE!-TUMBLE!-TUMBLE!-TUMBLE!-TUMBLE!-TUMBLE!-TUMBLE!-...
By sending him toiling through the dirt with countless slams and crashes with a light toss from his sleeveless arm.
-GRAB!
Kars stretched his arm before grabbing the rolling time traveler by his arm, preventing him from effectively being tossed to the other side of the Gamidustri Graveyard.
"Urgh..." Future Heart groaned, his head pounding with pain.
"Are you out of your fucking mind!?" Kars shouted at the top of his lungs, before dropping the CPU Candidate on his ass. "I know you have a grudge, but keep your brain while you're at it! You didn't even summon your lance!" Shouting angrily at the downed Leanboxian CPU, the Ultimate Life Form chided his impromptu squad mate.
"...A-Apologies!"
SUMMON!...
Holding his head, the godling did just that to prop his body while nursing his swimming brain.
"Pull yourself together, dear Vergo. We cannot survive this fight off unbridled anger. Cohesion and strategy are our strongest virtues at the moment." Edge Heart held the godling's head.
GLOW!...
Rewinding the injuries sustained, Edge Heart alleviated the CPU Candidate of his trauma-induced headache alongside the minor injuries doled from the tumbling.
"Thanks, Gris." The time-traveling CPU Candidate showed gratitude, which was acknowledged by an earnest shoulder pat.
"Did your senior GPU already kiss your boo-boo away? How quaint." Rolling his eyes, the droll was present on the veteran VPU's face.
"Well you can kiss my ass, you executive mongrel." Edge Heart readied his spear, as did Future Heart his lance.
"Before we begin. Multi-Cast."
SHINE!...
Kars raised his hand, as a magic circle was summoned underneath the the three fighters.
"Lesser Dexterity."
A small boost to their speed.
"Greater Dexterity."
A large boost to their speed that stacked on Lesser Dexterity.
"Lesser Strength."A small boost to their power.
"Greater Strength."
A small boost to their power that stacked on Lesser Strength.
"Haste."
An agility buff, self-explanatory.
"Regenerate."
Passive healing. Also self-explanatory.
"Bubble."
Doubled the recipient's health for the duration of the spellcaster's SP.
"Protect."
Reduces damage taken. Kars' proficiency made it roughly sixty percent.
"Spellspring."
SP Skills now cost no mana/SP whatsoever for the duration of Kars' SP.
"Reraise."
If any of the warriors fell in battle, they'd be revived on death's doorstep.
"Stoneskin."
Grants a certain amount of protection against physical damage.
"Phanlax."
Also granted a certain amount of damage protection, stacking on Stoneskin.
"Potency."
Increased the rate of critical hits, such as vitals or weak spots.
Lowering his hand Kars steadied himself to not use any spells to keep the buffs going for as long as feasibly possible.
"We fight together. Use your skills in tandem and don't give him room to breathe. If any one of us falls, we have another chance, and under NO circumstance do we flee." Kars laid the plan they'd follow.
"Can we truly defeat him?" Future Heart, despite feeling the strongest he ever was in his short life was still uneasy.
"If we fall, we fall fighting." Edge Heart responded, gazing into the purple eyes of his comrade with determination. "We will not let Nebula's demise be in vain! Even with our dying breaths!"
"How quaint indeed." Citadel shook the soot off his hand. "I do hope you have something to show after I let your drivel fill the air for so long." He motioned with his hand to approach, which the three combatants obliged.
"TOGETHER!" Edge Heart roared, his power symbol pupils shaking with anticipation.
CHARGE!
"URAAAAAAAAAAH!" The augmented trio screamed before using their means to bull rush the VPU with Edge Heart and Future Heart utilizing their processors as Kars fluttered his wings with haste.
-THROW!
...LAND!
Citadel picked up his brother's body and catapulted him into his floating plastic chair in one fell swoop before facing the incoming squad of superpowered warriors.
SLICE-SLASH-SLASH-SLICE-SLASH-SLASH-SLICE-SLASH-SLASH-SLICE-SLASH-SLASH-SLICE-SLASH-SLASH-SLICE-SLASH-SLASH-SLICE-SLASH-SLASH-SLICE-SLASH-SLASH-SLICE-SLASH-SLASH-SLICE-SLASH-SLASH-SLICE-SLASH-SLASH-SLICE-SLASH-SLASH-SLICE-SLASH-SLASH-SLICE-SLASH-SLASH-SLICE-SLASH-SLASH-SLICE-SLASH-SLASH-SLICE-SLASH-SLASH-SLICE-SLASH-SLASH-SLICE-SLASH-SLASH-SLICE-SLASH-SLASH-SLICE-SLASH-SLASH-SLICE-SLASH-SLASH-SLICE-SLASH-SLASH-SLICE-SLASH-SLASH-SLICE-SLASH-SLASH-SLICE-SLASH-SLASH-SLICE-SLASH-SLASH!
The Lastationite GPU swung his gunscythe with blitzing speed, and the power behind his strikes was greatly boosted continuing to climb with his divine physiology.
SHINE!-

The Leanboxian CPU Candidate plunged his lance, consciously activating the first stage of the Red Ring of Death all in a bid to land at least a single hit on the eldritch VPU.
WOOSH-SLICE-WOOSH-SLICE-WOOSH-SLICE-WOOSH-SLICE-WOOSH-SLICE-WOOSH-SLICE-WOOSH-SLICE-WOOSH-SLICE-WOOSH-SLICE-WOOSH-SLICE-WOOSH-SLICE-WOOSH-SLICE-WOOSH-SLICE-WOOSH-SLICE-WOOSH-SLICE-WOOSH-SLICE-WOOSH-SLICE-WOOSH-SLICE-WOOSH-SLICE-WOOSH-SLICE-WOOSH-SLICE-WOOSH-SLICE-WOOSH-SLICE-WOOSH-SLICE-WOOSH-SLICE-WOOSH-SLICE-WOOSH-SLICE-WOOSH-SLICE-WOOSH-SLICE-WOOSH-SLICE-WOOSH-SLICE-WOOSH-SLICE-WOOSH-SLICE-WOOSH-SLICE-WOOSH-SLICE-WOOSH-SLICE-WOOSH-SLICE-WOOSH!
The Ultimate Life Form used his enhanced body to strike and slice at the VPU's body, his blows flailing through the air with such velocity and ferocity that the eyes of Citadel were subconsciously eying his motions the most.
DODGE-WHIFF-MISS-EVADE-DODGE-DODGE-WHIFF-MISS-EVADE-DODGE-DODGE-WHIFF-MISS-EVADE-DODGE-DODGE-WHIFF-MISS-EVADE-DODGE-DODGE-WHIFF-MISS-EVADE-DODGE-DODGE-WHIFF-MISS-EVADE-DODGE-DODGE-WHIFF-MISS-EVADE-DODGE-DODGE-WHIFF-MISS-EVADE-DODGE-DODGE-WHIFF-MISS-EVADE-DODGE-DODGE-WHIFF-MISS-EVADE-DODGE-DODGE-WHIFF-MISS-EVADE-DODGE-DODGE-WHIFF-MISS-EVADE-DODGE-DODGE-WHIFF-MISS-EVADE-DODGE-DODGE-WHIFF-MISS-EVADE-DODGE-DODGE-WHIFF-MISS-EVADE-DODGE-DODGE-WHIFF-MISS-EVADE-DODGE-DODGE-WHIFF-MISS-EVADE-DODGE-DODGE-WHIFF-MISS-EVADE-DODGE-DODGE-WHIFF-MISS-EVADE-DODGE-DODGE-WHIFF-MISS-EVADE-DODGE-DODGE-WHIFF-MISS-EVADE-DODGE-DODGE-WHIFF-MISS-EVADE-DODGE-DODGE-WHIFF-MISS-EVADE-DODGE-DODGE-WHIFF-MISS-EVADE-DODGE-DODGE-WHIFF-MISS-EVADE-DODGE-DODGE-WHIFF-MISS-EVADE-DODGE-DODGE-WHIFF-MISS-EVADE-DODGE-DODGE-WHIFF-MISS-EVADE-DODGE-DODGE-WHIFF-MISS-EVADE-DODGE-DODGE-WHIFF-MISS-EVADE-DODGE-DODGE-WHIFF-MISS-EVADE-DODGE-DODGE-WHIFF-MISS-EVADE-DODGE-DODGE-WHIFF-MISS-EVADE-DODGE-DODGE-WHIFF-MISS-EVADE-DODGE-DODGE-WHIFF-MISS-EVADE-DODGE-DODGE-WHIFF-MISS-EVADE-DODGE-DODGE-WHIFF-MISS-EVADE-DODGE-DODGE-WHIFF-MISS-EVADE-DODGE-DODGE-WHIFF-MISS-EVADE-DODGE-DODGE-WHIFF-MISS-EVADE-DODGE-DODGE-WHIFF-MISS-EVADE-DODGE-DODGE-WHIFF-MISS!...
Yet the formal VPU was able to maneuver his body around the attacks with uninterested finesse. It was so prevalent that afterimages of his body were left for the group to attempt striking only for it to dematerialize before they moved on to the next afterimage.
"Is THIS what I waited so patiently for...?" He was unfazed to the point of conversation mid-battle.
-PARRY!
"GAH!" Future Heart yelled.
"ARGH!" Edge Heart shouted.
-GRAB!...
Before using his forearm to match the force the share-deities' weapons caused their wielders to be blown away by the equalizing force, all while grabbing the fist of the alien in a single motion.
...KRACK!
"Grgh!-" The bones in Kars' hand were crushed with the slightest exertion of pressure, as the VPU tugged his hand forward, dragging his body to Citadel's vicinity.
...ゴロゴロゴロ!
GIGANTIC SHOCKWAVE!
The Ulitmate Life Form's head was obliterated upon contact with the VPU's untraceable fist, having been grabbed to avoid his escape and ensure his vital area's termination. From the punch rang a shockwave that could be seen from the shores of the mainland and heard from further inland.
"KARS!..." The CPU/GPU duo yelled in frightened shock.
Even after all those buffs and armor, Citadel was still able to incapacitate the Ultimate Life Form that easily?!
-THOOOOOOOM!...-
Kicking the headless body of the alien in the solar plexus, his frame was reduced to a gory explosion in which pieces of organs and blood splattered everywhere, including the VPU's clothes.
...RAIN...!
"Thanks for ruining what remained of my clothes." The alien's blood rained on the interdimensional being as his face showed the slightest notion of a frown.
"R-Reraise should take effect now, right?!" Future Heart inquired about his senior GPU, not taking his eyes off of the bloodstained VPU that stood before him.
"Kars has come back from worse, so his Reraise is not going to activate. The same does not go for us, so prepare yourself!" Edge Hert responded, before rushing ahead.
BFFT!
CRACKLE!...
"Voltaic Gigaslash!"
Using time stop to set himself up, the GPU generated the abyssal electricity on his scythe as he roared his SP Skill's name. Repeating the process he did last time, he kept the energy on his blade.
CATCH!
-DISCHARGE!...
The business edge of Gris' scythe was caught between the index and middle fingers of Citadel, with the electronic discharge spreading through the ground as rocks and boulders were disintegrated.
"Impossible!"
Trying to remove his scythe proved impossible since what strength the divine edge lord had was dwarfed by two of the VPU's fingers.
"Your time stop was tedious for my brother. But I'm afraid that you're too slow for my eyes." The bloodstained elder god commented, as collected as ever.
SNAP!
"I suggest you start moving."
LUNGE!-
After breaking off Edge Heart's scythe blade in twain, he used the broken tip as an improvised shortsword reaching for the neck of the suspended GPU.
-BFFT!
REACH!
Quickly moving out of the way, the Lastationite GPU appeared on the flank of his opponent with a hand lunging for a pressure point.
-SLICE!...
"Tch!" Yet the VPU managed to backspin off his heel and cut open the assassin's hand as Edge Heart recoiled in pain.
BFFT!-
SLICE!...
BFFT!-
SLICE!...
BFFT!-
SLICE!...
Despite his half-assed demeanor, Citadel's strikes were imperceptibly quick as the dark GPU temporally teleported only to barely evade the attack as a graze appeared on his body with each attempt.
'Is he... Predicting my movements?! The transformed manslayer assumed, before verifying his claim with his next course of action.
DUBSTEP FART!
TIME STOP!
"Chrono Trigger: The World!"
Stopping time, he inspected the body of his opponent.
"..."
STARE!
"No... It cannot be!"
'So THIS is what that feels like...!'
Realizing that this was what it felt like when he moved through DIO's time stop from the vampire's perspective, the notion of the elder VPU being able to move spooked the GPU entirely.
TOSS!
-HALT!...
Worse yet, Citadel not only perceived but moved in the edge lord's stopped time to throw the piece of his scythe at him which further surprised the otherwise confident GPU.
SNAP!
DISPELL!...
Instinctively snapping his fingers, the shard alongside the falling scythe stuck in temporal stasis both disappeared on the behest of Edge Heart's snapping fingers.
LEAP!
"Tensho Honretsu!"
-BLAST!
TIME RESUMES!
Creating distance from his opponent, the assassin launched a powerful wave of Tōki from both his hands as two white blasts roared with energy as they approached the VPU.
-SMACK!...
-SMACK!...
...-EXPLODE-
Deflecting the attacks with his hands, the beams whizzed into the distance, before detonating with enough force to shake the entire floating landmass.
"This man can move through time stop...! How troublesome!" Panting from the maneuver, he felt as if Citadel tweaked the difficulty with every move thrown at him.
"...?" Looking down, the GPU saw an ant crawling next to his boot.
'Gris. Listen to every word I'm about to say since this may be our only way to damage him. I've already informed Vergo of his part, so heed yours.' Kars' voice was projected into the GPU's head, seemingly from telekinetic properties in the antennae of his ant form.
Meanwhile, Citadel stared at the edge lord who was distracted by something next to his shoe.
...-SIDESTEP!
WHOOSH!
But before he could investigate, a projectile barely missed his head after he craned his next to the side, dodging it completely if only by the skin of his teeth.
GRAB!
"Whirlwind Zephyr!"
-DRILLLLLLLLLLLLLL!-
-TWISTER!
Catching his thrown lance with incredible speed, the CPU Candidate of Leanbox pointed his weapon at the elder VPU before activating his SP Skill and causing the lance to rotate, creating a powerful twister around the two deities.
"Ignition Incision!"
-FIRENADO!-
Swiping his fingers amid the SP Skill, the twister erupted into flames, creating a fiery vortex of destruction that raged with the nonchalant VPU standing inside peering up at the display of power.
LAUNCH!
Using the air as a platform by materializing a step of oxygen, the lance that Future Heart held started to vibrate immensely as it generated its green static discharge.
-LUNGE!
"STATIC PIERCER!"
Before plunging his weapon toward the head of his opponent, screaming at the top of his lungs as he did so.
GRAB!-
-STATIC FIRESTORM!-
Yet Citadel grabbed the weapon, halting its progress. Despite this, the reaction of Vergo's lightning being redirected caused the firenado to become energetically fueled.
"Do you think any of this would have achieved reaching me?" Citadel inquired nonchalantly, unaffected by the ravenous conditions of volt, flame, and wind.
"Ask that same question after this!"
STRETCH!
Sticking his foot out, the soleing of his boot was inches away from the VPU's face. A blank stare was returned to the shoe, then Future Heart.
"Is that your rendition of a sole-less joke?" An eyebrow raised from the formal VPU.
"Why don't you look again?" Future Heart egged on, his face growing more devious by the moment.
"...!" Citadel's eyes looked back down before his eyes slightly widened.
"Limelight!"
The combination of KI and share energy was created right between the sole of the CPU Candidate's foot and the eldritch god's face before it exploded point blank.
-KRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA-KOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!-
The elemental storm was dispersed by the destructive detonation of Future Heart's EXE Drive.
A green blast wave expanded ferociously, consuming the entire battlefield in its wake as the remaining mountains that managed to withstand Edge Heart's EXE Drive were annihilated in its execution.
Left in its monstrous wake, a large cloud of smoke opaqued the battlefield, the lingering effect of the time traveler's release of such a devastating attack providing a cover for the result of his efforts.
WHOOSH!
Abandoning his weapon, the CPU Candidate of Future Leanbox ascended into the sky while looking down.
"Not much time until he makes his move. Better do my part." The time traveler leviated at the edge of the troposphere.
RAISE!...
Raising his hands, he began calling forth the necessary elemental particles.
...CHARGE!...
Since he was higher in the sky, this made the collection of ingredients for his DIY nuke MUCH easier.
...CHARGE!
A green orb of energy was starting to gather a meter above the green CPU Candidate's arms. It grew by the moment, as the shares were concentrated from his reserves.
...CHARGE!
Spellspring came in handy, as he could virtually pour an endless amount of SP into the technique. If only he had an endless amount of time to cast it.
...CHARGE!
The sphere was now the size of a building, having the energy of the empowered CPU Candidate flow into its epicenter, mixed with the particles surrounding it.
...CHARGE!
"I need more energy... I can't mess this up!..." Future Heart's attack kept enlarging itself, becoming the size of a football field, its exponential growth not stopping.
Down below, Citadel stood in the smoke, looking up at the time-traveling CPU Candidate.
"Should I stop him now, or just show him how much time he's wasted after it hits me?..." Cupping his chin, the formal VPU was facing a mental dilemma of his own.
"You should stop wasting your time taking your eyes off the fight!" Edge Heart's voice was heard in the surroundings of the smoky battlefield, yet his voice was hard to pinpoint.
"Oh? And where might you be, Gris?" Citadel narrowed his eyes, preparing to cast aside the blinding smoke.
CRASH!-
-UPPERCUT!
Bursting through the ground, the edgy GPU rushed from the ground before delivering a rough uppercut to the elder god's chin.
-SHOCKWAVE!-...
The impact shredded the Lastationite's glove, leaving his exposed and bleeding knuckles to air out despite the reeling chin of his target's head.
'That hit did more damage to me than it did to his face!...' Edge Heart mentally gawked while uppercutting the formal VPU.
...PALM!
-OBLITERATE!
"GAK!..."
Shaking his head, the well-dressed eldritch entity poised himself before shoving his palm into the abdomen of the black GPU, destroying a large chunk of his torso all while clearing the smoke.
SKID!...
Falling to a knee, the heaving GPU held his fresh wound, feeling the absence of flesh and heaps of blood that dripped from his near-fatal wound.
'Regenerate s-should handle this...!' Edge Heart stood up, staggering from the intense pain that coursed through his entire body from that singular spot.
...HEAL!
And with that, the musculature of his body's missing chunk began to mend itself back together. Strands and patches of flesh quickly pulled themselves to each other until his wound only left the missing spandex.
'Phew. But now, I have to stall for time... The irony.' The Lastationite GPU quickly gazed up before locking eyes with the elder VPU as he assumed a fighting stance.
"You wish to fisticuff? Do bring your A game." Gesturing with a bow, the half-interested Citadel encouraged his opponent to try his best out of either boredom or dismissal.

Before Edge Heart unleashed a relentless torrent of fists upon the VPU's body, who had prepared to counterattack yet mysteriously relinquished the intent to hit his opponent before the fists doled out their punishment upon his body.
-BFFT!
"Hokuto Senjukai Ken!"
Teleporting away, the GPU uttered the name of the augmented technique.
"Omae wa mou shinde iru."
...
..
.
"...Am I supposed to explode now?" Citadel fixed his collar.
"U-Unbelievable...!" Edge Heart was at a complete loss.
This was the first time in history that someone was able to withstand Hokuto Shinken's technique without so much as a scratch on them!
Did the incomprehensible VPU finally subdue the strongest martial art?!
"How are you still in one piece?!" The edgy GPU couldn't believe his eyes, almost dropping his guard from the sheer audacity that the otherworldly being possessed to stonewall what Xero could not.
"My fear energy is masterfully contained within my coil. Nothing escapes unless I want it to, and when that happens, space-time deconstructs." Citadel revealed, causing Edge Heart to break into a cold sweat once again.
'So this beast can casually-... No, this lines up! He already did so in the future!' Adversion was replaced with trepidation upon connecting Future Heart's testimony and the VPU's words, seeing that they lined up perfectly when compared.
"Your martial art works on special points to disrupt, if I recall. If my fear energy is constantly inside my body, would that not be the perfect place to nullify your attempt to damage me? Just a suggestion." Further revealing the mechanics of his body, the elder VPU destroyed the faith that Edge Heart had in his Hokuto Shinken to deal any damage at all.
"It's also the source of your ridiculous strength, isn't it? The GPU interrogated, hoping that he'd receive a different answer.
"Maybe your moniker has some truth to it after all, Edge Heart." Resisting the urge to smile, the VPU settled for the faintest upturn in his lips.
'So he has fear energy manipulation at that level?! No wonder he took Kars out, groundslammed Vergo, and crippled me! He's not in a different league but a different plane of existence altogether!' As if it weren't painfully obvious, the Lastationite GPU confirmed it mentally.
"So do you understand? Or do you need a more practical demonstration?"

.
Pointing his finger, the eldritch VPU pointed his finger at the GPU while concentrating a blip of fear energy. The sphere no bigger than a marble was distorting the very fabric of space with chaotic distortions being around its matter.
ゴゴゴゴゴゴゴ...!
Edge Heart was running out of ways to keep Citadel's attention off of Future Heart, and with the way their conversation was going, it seemed he was in more danger than the time-traveling godling.
'-I'm in position!'
The edgy GPU's eyes glanced at the impeccably small organism that crawled onto Citadel's shoulder.
Kars had communicated his readiness to him, right at the eleventh hour.
...GLOW!
"...?"
The entire Gamindustri Graveyard green shifted, including the battlefield that the three combatants stood upon before they looked up to see what had caused the sky and the grass to switch hues.
'I'm ready, you two! Any bigger and I won't be able to control it!...'
"That's a huge bitch." Citadel blurted, witnessing the amount of SP and share energy that Vergo put into the EXE Drive.
Easily dwarfing a small village, the sphere of atomic proportions easily spanned a kilometer in diameter with its light bright enough to mimic a second sun above the Gamindustri Graveyard. The shares that radiated from the technique felt both pleasant and foreboding, as the accumulation of faith could turn into a tactical nuke at any second.
"But is it as strong as it looks? I hope so..." Feeling the intrigue of the abnormally large energy attack, the VPU looked away from the attack which gave Kars the perfect opportunity.
MORPH!
-GRAB!
Shifting back to his Insectum Evolutio-clad human state, the ant caught the VPU while he was focused on the gargantuan source of energy above him. Putting the elder god in a full nelson, he restrained his arms for the short time that Citadel didn't move to set himself free.
"Teleportation!"
TELEPORT!
And with that, they were transported away from the battlegrounds, leaving the sole GPU to begin his part of the plan.
"Alright. With no SP consequence, I should be able to extract this from the pocket space when I sealed it in Leanbox... The only question is if Citadel will take damage from it."
...SUMMON...!
Sticking out his hand, the appendage grew obsidian from his fingertips until it stretched to his shoulder, dark matter corrupting his physiology once more.
-D-DISTORT!-
The condensed version of Accelerator's explosive wave of dark matter suspended in time was within the darkened hand of the GPU, its presence managing to distort the space around it all while radiating a concise, almost tranquil frequency.
'Nebula's not here to maintain the gravitational condensation. Meaning I must act quickly before this dark matter bomb detonates right in my hands.'
CROUCH!
...STATIC STORM!...
Realizing the severity of the situation, the GPU of Lastation held the weapon in his hand before crouching to his knees as static electricity encircled his position until its intensity developed into a small storm around his person.
-G-G-G-GLOW!
His body became temporally augmented, with his speed increasing to the point that his body started flickering in and out of existence without even moving a muscle.
'I'm ready you two! But hurry, the bomb does not have much time!' The explosion in Gris' hands began to react upon his mental communication being complete, signifying its fleeting time limit.
...-TELEPORT!
Kars and Citadel were brought between Edge Heart's and Future Heart's positions, as the Ultimate Life Form held the unfazed VPU in a bind while they floated through the alien's wings.
"Was this your plan?" Citadel inquired. "To sacrifice yourself as Vergo destroys me with his bootlegged Sp*r*t B*mb?" The VPU raised an uncaring brow, not seeing the logic in such a straightforward strategy.
"Do you believe you can withstand it?" Kars inquired, intrigue present in his voice.
"What up to this point has made you doubt I could?" Citadel answered his question with a question of his own, causing the alien warrior's face to scowl deeply.
"The fact that you're wrong." The Ultimate Life Form responded before a confused look etched itself onto the VPU's face.
'Now, Vergo!' Kars telepathically shouted, tightening the grip on his full nelson.
Rolling his eyes, Citadel expected a mass of green to fly at him.
"...GRR!"
Yet the incoming sensation of shares never came.
-ABSORB!
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"
Instead, the godling of Leanbox pulled the Superiorem Hydrogenii Felis into himself, screaming with volume that his voice was echoing through the corners of Gamindustri itself. Celestia knows everyone in the Gamindustri Graveyard could hear him.
His body contained every ounce of SP in his frame, his hair flailing wildly before becoming rigidly spiked as shares brimmed through his veins.
-SHINE!-
The Red Ring of Death completed its evolution from sheer excess of share energy within his being, increasing his power by several magnitudes on top of the terrifying power of his absorbed EXE Drive.
Even his face was being pulled back, revealing his gums and gritted teeth as well as his constricted irises, visibly holding himself together from sheer willpower despite the condition his body was in after absorbing what could easily be considered a sizeable portion of Gamindustri's compared faith.
-ZOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!...-
Flying through the skies, the raven-haired time escaped the atmosphere of Gamindustri outright as he flew into the void of space at a moment's notice.
CRASH!...
Before landing aggressively on the celestial body known as the moon.
SUMMON!...
"GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!..."
-THOOM!...-
Using the celestial body as a springboard, he summoned his lance before jumping off the natural satellite's surface a large footprint was left on the moon's surface followed by a streak of green.
An energetic footprint that could be faintly seen from Gamindustri's soil, which alerted both Kars and Edge Heart of Vergo's status.
'Deploy the bomb.' The alien mentally communicated, to which the GPU obliged without issue.
CRACKLE!-
-THOOM!-
Flying off the ground in a rush of electricity, the wings of the Lastationite GPU propelled the edge lord into the heavens, dragging the dark-matter detonation beside him.
BZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZT...!
"...He missed." Citadel blurted out, seeing that Edge Heart flew right past him, continuing his ascent to the upper levels of the atmosphere in an electrifying show of speed.
"You'd like to believe that, wouldn't you?"
MAGIC CIRCLE!...
Kars replied before the magic circle appeared underneath them.
The elder VPU's eyes widened upon seeing the magic circle, yet out of curiosity rather than the pensive surprise that the Ultimate Life Form expected from the veteran VPU.
"You really are self-sacrificing, despite your initial personality." Realizing what the Pillarman had in mind with the magic circle considering the last thing he did with it, the eldritch god commented on the perceived juxtaposition of Kars' personality and actions.
"Who says I'm going with you? Slow." Releasing the VPU, the spell was cast on the unsuspecting elder god.
DECELERATE!
"If your fear energy protects against most forms of harm, targeting the garments you wear should allow the same effect to a lesser extent since they aren't protected at all!" Remembering the Lastationite GPU's effect on his sleeve, the Ultimate Life Form capitalized on the discrepancy.
"...Not bad."
-TELEPORT!
Citadel admitted unbiasedly right before being teleported a second time by the alien warrior, his face displaying a rare acknowledgment before disappearing.
...TELEPORT!
The elder VPU found himself floating in the exosphere, seeing the vast expanse of space surrounding him. Unbothered by the lack of air at his altitude, he looked around to scan his surroundings.
'I doubt that alien sent me here in an attempt to get rid of-'
-BZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZT!-
-ZOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!-
Sounds of approaching powers were picked up by the VPU's ears as he became alerted to the incoming share-deities.
"...So that's what he did. Son of a-"
"DIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!"
"RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!"
Edge Heart and Future Heart's respective screeches closed in on the elder VPU, before the interdimensional god felt the heavy-handedness of a lance and the enigmatic sensation of mysterious energy sandwich him.

What could only be compared to the creation of a miniature star had occurred in the space between Gamindustri and the moon. The three gods were engulfed, the screaming of the share-deities being drowned out by the cataclysmic reaction from their attacks combining on such a magnitude.
ゴロゴロゴロゴロゴロゴロゴロゴロゴロゴロゴロゴロゴロゴ!...
Pressure blasted from all directions, with the ebbs of energy expanding throughout the inner solar system in the wake of the mighty explosion.
From the skies, a second sun could be seen in the sky, increasing the brightness of the realm to nearly an unbearable extent.
"Ugh..." Mina, who just happened to be outside of the Planeptower's balcony felt the intense rise in brightness. "This sudden wave of heat..." The woman wiped her brow from the sweat.
"Uhm... Mina?" Chika beckoned the Loeweean Oracle. "I don't think you'll believe me, but there are two suns in the sky." The Oracle of Leanbox pointed to the firmament.
"W-What?!" Looking up in the direction of the greenette's finger, the blue-haired Oracle saw just what her fellow Oracle described; A bright dot that appeared slightly smaller in the sky than the actual sun.
"This is not natural." Histoire, who appeared with Kei deduced. "What could have caused this?..." The Lastationite Oracle inquired before a spooked expression appeared on the tome's face.
"Histoire?... What's the matter?" Mina became concerned for the fairy-like Oracle, afraid she may have glitched just now.
"That 'second sun'... Is comprised of share energy!"
"WHAT?!" Kei, Mina, and Chika's jaws dropped at the announcement.
...WOO!
The wind started to pick up, as the explosion's effect was greatly diminished due to the distance traveled yet still perceptible to those who were miles upon miles away from the celestial skirmish.
"It appears to be occurring directly above the Gamindustri Graveyard's coordinates. But none of the CPU Candidates can produce that much share energy for that duration!" Histoire's voice wavered with worry and trepidation for what could be transpiring in the Gamidustri Graveyard.
"Can you call them?" Kei mentioned, as the floating Oracle immediately attempted to establish a connection.
"No! Something's blocking my signals!" The blonde tome grunted in fretful frustration.
"...What the hell is happening in the Gamindustri Graveyard?!" Chika muttered as she began to sweat thinking about the state of her darling Vert.
And that blonde-haired dweeb, the latter being a begrudging thought.
PLUMMET!...
Vergo and Gris rapidly descended from the blast site, their bodies dropping out of HDD from the limit-breaking exertion to execute such an attack.
PLUMMET!...
Tanks running on fumes, the buffs that Kars placed on them subsided after their frames were now too exhausted to utilize the benefits in any capacity.
With the reformation of clouds in the sky, the two share-deites passed through the fleeting clouds as they struggled to maintain their consciousness.
PLUMMET!...
"We're... Not gonna survive this landing like this...!" Vergo, whose hair returned to its golden blonde complexion shouted with the aching of his body affecting his voice. "My wind isn't strong enough to slow us down anymore...!" The lack of energy in the time traveler's reserves put them in a pickle.
"Tch... I can slow our descent with my temporal aura... I'll use it before we hit the ground." Deciding on their course of action, the assassin stretched out his blackened hand. "Grab my wrist while we still have altitude...!" Straining to reach his blonde junior, the manslayer awaited reciprocation.
GRAB!
The godling wasted no time in returning the gesture, as they both grabbed each other's forearms, terminal velocity being achieved not long after.
"Let's nosedive to speed this up!..." Vergo suggested to his fellow share-deity.
"Understood...!" Gris nodded before the two did just that.
DIVE!
The CPU/GPU duo fell from the heavens with synchronization, twirling around as they increased their velocity to return to the Gamindustri Graveyard's location.
SPREAD!...
Approaching the floating landmass, the two deities canceled their nosedive and opted for a spread eagle formation in a bid to decelerate their fall.
"Whenever you're ready, Gris!" Vergo alerted his divine senior, looking down at the rapidly approaching ground.
...
...
...
One thousand meters.
...
...
...
Five hundred meters.
...
...
One hundred meters.
...
Fifty meters.
...
Twenty meters.
Ten meters-
GLOW!-
HALT...!
Their bodies were suddenly engulfed with the silver light, dramatically slowing their fall to a crawl, as well as taking away any of the physical ramifications associated with hitting the ground at that speed.
FADE!...
BOOM!...
Dispelling his aura, the two CPU derivatives landed on the ground superhero-style before getting to their feet with slightly aching knees and knuckles.
"That looked way cooler in the movies." Vergo winced, wagging his aching knuckles and getting up while resisting the urge to whimper.
"Because it doesn't hurt due to its fakeness, Virgin." Void of any signs of pain despite landing on the same knuckle that he punched Citadel with, the assassin got to his feet.
"Guys?..." Domio called the two CPU derivatives, as they turned to the Loweean who stood alongside the rest of the party members. "That... was... AWESOME!" The Loweean teen gushed, stars sparkling in his eyes from the scene.
"I don't think I've seen any CPU pull that off before." IF got to her feet, before looking between the two deities with shock.
"Leanbox and Lastation have some scarily powerful CPUs, I'll give 'em that." Blanc admitted, after seeing the display unravel through the events of fighting Citadel.
"Yeah, even that alien guy was able to come back from that punch!" Ram pointed out, genuine surprise written on her features.
"I was really worried that you three would lose against someone so powerful..." Rom admitted her concerns to the CPU/GPU duo to which Vergo moved to soothe the blue CPU Candidate of Lowee.
"Not to worry, Rom. We made it in the end, didn't we?" A cheeky smile replaced his neutral expression which served to slightly lift the blue goddess' spirits, even if by just a little.
"Although I'm not fond of the fact that he brushed off and allowed us to perform our attacks without resistance," Gris noted, his expression still serious.
"Isn't that a good thing?" Nisa inquired. "Evil not bothering to fight back makes the job of justice a breeze!~" She sang triumphantly.
"Not quite. Gris might be inferring that Citadel didn't try on purpose because he might not have felt the need to." AL interpreted grimly, his face sharing the sentiment of his words.
"But everybody needs to get out of the way of attacks, right?" Compa asked, confused about why someone would willing stay in the line of harm's way.
"Not if they didn't do anything to the person." Noire interjected, as her sister chimed in behind her.
"So what you're saying is that guy managed to survive that!?" Uni hardly believed that was the case, even if the conversation was heading in that direction.
"It seems so." MAGES. was not one to contest against the points of logical conclusion.
"What?! No way, that buster totally got pwned." Neptune however, was adamant in believing that the day had been won.
"But Neptune, just think about it!" Nepgear urged her sister to use that pudding brain of hers.
"That combo these two buckos pulled was the stuff I only see in those sci-fi fighting games! If he really did survive, then he'd be standing right behind me with his arms folded with one of those mean muggin' faces."
ゴゴゴゴ!...
"Neptune... You may want to-" Vert attempted to alert her fellow goddess of her new situation but the person behind her put their finger on their lips.
"And he'd be all like 'Mwahahahaha! I haven't been defeated, foolish CPUs! My power is MAXIMUM!' and we'd be all like 'OH NO! THE PLOT HAS FORSAKEN US', see?-"
The Protagonist of Protagonist's playful rant screeched to a chilling halt, as her face was stuck in-frame before the color slowly started to fade with her eyes becoming comical circles as she turned around to prove her yap fest a fantasy.
"Mwahahaha. I haven't been defeated, pudding-brained CPU." A coatless Citadel bespoke, left with an undershirt and trousers that were both in tatters.
My power is BEYOND the level cap. The plot forsook you the moment my foot stepped inside of Hyperdimension." Yet on his skin, only dust and fabric were his biggest concerns.
"HOLY HALF-MELTED PUDDING CUP!" Screaming with fright, the purple meme goddess leaped back defensively, moving closer to her friends almost instinctively despite the lack of fear energy to pressure her.
The party formed a circle around the VPU, providing him with a sizeable berth as none wanted to be close to the absolute unit of a Viral Pernicious Unit.
The elder VPU's presence alone was enough.
"How are you not injured from that?!" 5pb. stepped back, deathly afraid of the VPU's visage.
"But I am injured." Citadel responded, confusing the idol singer.
"Gust doesn't see any wounds." The alchemist pointed out, her gloved hand tracing its finger around the VPU's person.
"Right here." Pointing to his heart, he maintained a straight face. "For thinking that display of modern fireworks would tear the skin off my bones if even a little." The otherworldly entity jested.
"After all..." Further showing how fruitless the party's attempts to harm him were, he took out his signature pen and clicked it on himself.
A crimson substance slowly drew itself from the incision the elder VPU made before he made a thumbs-down gesture with gravity pulling the contents of the miniature wound down.
DROP...!
The splattering of his blood was uncharacteristically loud, inciting a feeling of dread in everyone who witnessed the event as fear itself could be perceived from such a minuscule action.
"All that work was for a drop of blood, no?" Citadel harmlessly asked, as the wound immediately closed itself, rendering the cut he made non-existent, to the absolute horror of the heroes around him.
A/N:
Chapter complete!
Citadel's a different kind of monster it seems! While not overtly aggressive like his brother Xero, when he decides to put a pinch of effort, even the most intricate plans can start falling apart in an instant!
How will our heroes handle a threat of the caliber that even future CPUs and GPUs could not take on unscathed?!
Or are the words that Citadel utter exactly what he says; the forsaking of the plot's armor upon his arrival ring true!

Muji470: Gris is a good choice for a favorite character IMO, but I have to remain unbiased for the sake of the story's quality. This chapter proves your hunch right though, Muji my bro.
