Happy Valentine's Day! Mackenzie and Sophia are nine in this chapter. Hope you enjoy!

"You guys sure you want to go ice skating?" Jason asks as the group walks across the parking lot.

Sophia looks back at Jason. "Dad, why are you so against this plan?" She asks.

"I'm an old man, what if I fall and break a hip?" Jason asks with a raised eyebrow. "Bad things happen when you get old."

"Everyone heard that he called himself old and it wasn't me." Sophia says looking around the group.

Mandy looks from Sophia to Jason. "She's not going to let that go." Mandy pauses and smirks. "Old man." She adds.

"Can't be worse than the helicopter crashes." Sonny chuckles.

"Wait you were in a helicopter crash, Uncle Jason?" Mackenzie asks.

"More than one." Sonny responds before Jason can.

"Sonny." Lisa shakes her head. "I don't think you're helping the situation, at all."

"Is Sonny right." Jason nods his head yes. "But the good news is neither Sonny or I do that job anymore and are never at risk of being in a helicopter crash again. Feel better?"

"I guess." Sophia said with a shoulder shrug. "It's just weird to think my Dad was in a helicopter crash."

"I honey." Jason rubs her shoulder. "But again, I'm here safe and sound to tell the story."

"Thanks Dad." Sophia smiles. "Everyone is skating right?"

"Yes sweetie." Mandy tells her. "We may seriously embarrass ourselves, but we will give it the old college try."

"Awesome." Mackenzie smiles. "This is going to be fun."

"Alright, let's get these skates." Sonny says walking towards the rental counter out front of the ice-skating rink.

Mackenzie and Sophia were the first to get their skates on and get onto the ice. "Look at those two go." Lisa comments watching the girls effortlessly skate around the rink.

"To be nine again." Mandy smiles watching the girls.

"To have the knees of a 9-year-old again." Jason chuckles rubbing his knees for the discomfort he knows is coming.

"Or the back." Sonny adds, his hands instinctively landing on his lower back. "I just know Ima be hurtin tomorrow."

"God, what happened to the two of you." Lisa stands, secretly hoping she doesn't make a fool of herself. "I thought I married a cowboy SEAL who was game for anything."

Mandy joins Lisa in standing, a little wobblier than she would like. "Seriously, you guys were the two we always worried about doing some rogue shit, now look at you."

"Everybody always said I'd eventually grow up." Sonny says before taking Lisa's extended hand to help him stand. He wobbles and almost falls. "If I can't even stand on solid ground, Ima die for sure once I hit the ice. " Sonny steadies himself.

"Don't be so dramatic." Lisa calls from the ice laughing at the scene unfolding in front of her.

"Who me? Dramatic, never." Sonny says with a death grip on the wall of the ice rink.

Lisa skates closer to him. "This isn't very retired tier one operator of you."

"Last time I checked." Sonny rotates himself to look at her. "Green team didn't include ice skatin."

"Good thing, you'd never have made it if it did." Lisa calls as she skates away from him, daring him to leave the safety and security of the wall.

Before Sonny can respond Mackenzie buzzes past him. "Come on Dad. Look how fun this is."

"I'm tryin Kenz." He grumbles. "But ya go have a good time, don't worry bout me." Sonny looks to his left and sees Jason isn't fairing much better than himself.

Jason shakes his head seeing Sonny's eyes on him. "Don't even say it, Sonny Boy."

"Millions of dollars the government spent training the two of you." Mandy laughs as she and Sophia skate around them.

"I'm going to make this work just to prove you wrong." Jason says before pushing off the wall. He teeters for a few seconds before he finds his balance. "Ha did it you hater." He says as he cautiously begins to skate around.

"One push on your shoulder and it will be all over for you." Mandy says, an evil grin spreading across her face.

"You wouldn't do you loving husband like that." Jason responds, moving a little further away from Mandy just to be safe.

Mackenzie looks between Sonny and Jason, who had both made it to the middle of the rink at this point. "This really isn't that hard."

"You're young and athletically inclined." Sonny shoots back. "Also, do we not get points for makin it out here and stayin standin?"

Sophia looks at Mackenzie. "Should we take it easy on them." Sophia asks.

A laugh that can only be described as belonging Sonny Quinn's daughter escapes from Mackenzie. "Why would we do that?"

"Tough crowd you have here." Lisa smirks looking from Sonny to Jason.

"I wouldn't expect any different from those two." Mandy grins. "They are the products of us."

"Everything is pink." Sophia smiles surveying the food and drinks on the table in front of her.

"It's so pretty." Mackenzie adds.

"I'm glad you girls like it." Lisa smiles warmly. She feels Sonny give her thigh a squeeze under the table.

"What's your favorite thing about Valentine's Day?" Mandy asks the girls, watching them decide which snack to eat from the spread in front of them.

"Definitely the candy." Mac tells her as she picks up a heart shaped sandwich.

Jason nods his head in agreement with Mackenzie's answer. "Who doesn't love a bunch of free candy."

"It's awesome." Sophia agrees, reaching for a pink macaroon. "And we get to have a party at school."

"Yeah." Mackenzie nods in agreement. "And I like giving the boys pink and frilly Valentines just to see their reaction."

"Yep, you're my kid." Lisa laughs. "That totally sounds like something I would have done."

Sonny puts on his best pretend shocked face and voice. "I would have never guessed that." He smirks watching her roll her eyes at him.

"Shut up, Quinn." Lisa says, pretending to act offended.
