The Next Day

It was morning, Sky and his friends got up, then started eating breakfast.

"Thanks RIC. Without you, I wouldn't have had my buttered toast. It's so buttery." Bridge said, wiggling his fingers and getting the toast out from RIC.

"Sorry you didn't have any yesterday, since he wanted to come along with me." Sky said.

"By the way Sky, you didn't get a chance to tell us yesterday, when you came back not saying a word to us the other day." Jack said.

"Was it something your parents friends told you, that upset you?" Z asked.

"You know you can tell us, don't avoid it." Syd said.

"Your right. I might as well tell you all." Sky said.

"Go ahead. Were all ears here." Jack said.

"Well, I did tell you guys that my mom was able to be together with my dad, they only lasted for a year when...he died." Sky said.

"How did your dad died?" Z asked.

"All I knew that an accident happened, where he died." Sky answered.

"You mean like a car accident?" Syd asked.

"No. No one had ever told me what type of accident, until I was told how he died." Sky answered.

"How did he? If your okay to tell us." Bridge said.

"My mom's friends took me to go see Eric, so he could tell me about what happened, and why he blamed himself." Sky said.

"What did he blamed himself for?" Jack asked.

"It was something he didn't like to talk about, but he needed to tell me anyway." Sky answered.

"We're ready if you are." Z said.

"I sort of stopped where I didn't get a chance to tell the rest." Sky said.

"Well, here's your chance to tell us." Bridge said.

"Eric was telling me that he and my dad were great friends, he was like a brother to him, though I remember when Eric told me back then he didn't consider my dad as his friend and was a loner." Sky said.

"Why is that?" Syd asked.

"Eric was a jerk back then, he and my dad had their differences, though he eventually accepted not only my dad as his friend but my mom and her friends too as his friends." Sky answered.

"I guess that would explain a bit of Tyler's attitude." Z said.

"Anyway, he told me my dad was planning to marry my mom, I remember when my mom kept mentioning if he was still alive they would have been married and we would have been a family already." Sky said.

"So you don't have your dad's last name?" Syd asked.

"No. I've had my mom's last name, which was Scotts, my dad's was Collins." Sky answered.

"Makes sense there, but anyway continue on." Jack said.

"That day they were called in of a building that caught on fire, a friend of their's who was a firefighter needed help getting people out of the building, they managed to get every single person out. Eric thought my dad was behind him, but he wasn't and the building was about to collapse, if my dad didn't get out of there and tried to get a hold of him through the radio, but no response, Eric wanted to go back and get him out of there, but it was too late, the building exploded and collapsed, he died in that fire. Eric had to break the news to my mom and grandfather." Sky said, and felt tears in his eyes.

"We're sorry about your dad, Sky." Z said.

"It must have been real sad for you." Syd said.

"That's why he blamed himself, because he couldn't save him." Sky said.

"Even if he would have gone back in, it would have also costed his life." Bridge said.

"He knew that, but he was full of guilt and wasn't easy for him, Taylor tried to convince him that it wasn't his fault. His marriage was falling apart and wasn't close to Tyler and Megan." Sky said.

"He must have had it difficult, but he eventually got through with all of this." Jack said.

"Yeah. He did, it got better for him." Sky said.

"It also wasn't easy for your mom too." Syd said.

"After my dad died, my mom decided to go back to her timeline, then a few months later she had me, and raised me with the help of her friends, my uncle, and my step-dad." Sky said.

"So your dad never knew about you, did he?" Z asked.

"No. He didn't. But I was glad to know, I did had a dad, who was an amazing power ranger." Sky answered.

"Well, I think you told us a lot here, Sky." Jack said.

"Do you at least feel okay about yourself?" Bridge asked.

"You know, I kind of do. I actually feel better that I talked about this with you guys." Sky answered.

"You see, man. We're your friends, you can always trust us." Jack said.

"Well, at least you all won't keep asking anymore." Sky said.

"Your right, because you finally told us." Syd said.

"And no longer avoid it." Z said.

"I don't know about you guys, let's pick up and head out to work." Sky said, as they all were picking their plates off the table, then headed out.

Silver Guardians HQ

Eric was in his office, when he heard a knock at the door."Come in!" Eric said, when the door opened seeing it was Alex who came in. "Look who finally just appeared all of a sudden."

"Hey Eric. How has everything been?" Alex said.

"It's been alright." Eric answered. "What about you? Where have you been disappearing off to?"

"Just here...and there." Alex answered.

"Okay. Do you care to explain what you mean by that?" Eric asked.

"I was a bit busy contacting Time Force if they found any trace of Michael anywhere." Alex answered.

"Makes sense. Any luck in finding him?" Eric asked.

"None. It's like he disappeared without a trace, almost as if he doesn't want to be found." Alex answered.

"Hopefully he will be found and nothing bad has happened to him." Eric said.

"Yeah. So do I." Alex said. "On the other hand; did you tell Sky about...you know."

"Yes. I did." Eric responded.

"How did he take it?" Alex asked.

"At first, I thought he didn't take it well after I was done telling him then he walked off without saying anything, thinking he wouldn't forgive me or hate me for keeping this a secret from him for a long time." Eric explained.

"Sky is not the kind of person who would think bad about you, he's not like that." Alex said.

"So I've been told, I thought he would have been upset, but he wasn't, he just didn't know how to react and shocked to know how his dad died." Eric said.

"Well, it's understandable." Alex said.

"The good thing was that he was glad to know so many things about his dad." Eric said.

"You see, you had nothing to worry about, just be glad you finally told him." Alex said.

"Your right, I feel better about it now. He stayed half the day with us, then Trip, Lucas, and Katie came by and joined us too. Andrea even asked about you, wondering why you didn't come along with them. Since you already explained to me anyway." Eric said.

"I've been caught up with many things that I haven't spent time with her and Sky." Alex said.

"I know what you mean, and so far no sign of that criminal either." Eric said.

"I just hope we still have time, before anything happens on whatever he's up to." Alex said.

"You know we've been so focus on this, that maybe we just need a break." Eric said.

"Your right, I don't want Sky and Andrea to think I'm only here on a mission, they are both important to me." Alex said.

"You know, this gives me an idea, why don't we spend the day out with our kids, they deserve a break too." Eric said.

"Sounds like a great idea." Alex said.

"Why don't you come over to my house now, so you can let Andrea know." Eric said.

"Sure. Why not. I know she's anxious to see me." Alex said, as they were both on their way out, Eric opened the door when suddenly Trip, Lucas, and Katie all fell on the floor.

"Owww.!" all three of them said.

"We're you guys listening in the entire time?" Eric asked.

"Yes. Pretty much." Katie answered.

"You all will never learn, will you?" Alex said.

"Sorry!" all three of them said.

"Lucas. Get off me." Trip said.

"I would if Katie would get off me first." Lucas said.

"A little help here." Katie said, as both Eric and Alex helped them get up off the floor.

"Other than eavesdropping, did you guys need anything?" Eric asked.

"Well since you already made plans, I guess not." Lucas responded.

"We were just going to hang around, so we wouldn't be bored." Trip said.

"Okay then, will be heading out now. See you guys." Eric said, as he and Alex left out.

"Look on the bright side, at least they have family time." Katie said.

"That's true, at least we know why Alex was acting strange." Lucas said.

"I guess your right, but anyway let's go." Trip said, then were heading their way out.
