Hi everyone! Please find the next chapter for this story, please excuse the delay, I underwent major surgery last month and I'm only getting back on track. AS always reviews are greatly appreciated and an incredible incentive for me to continue with this story. Enjoy!
A persistent tapping on the window woke me in the middle of the night. When I opened my eyes, I saw that dawn was still far off. A slight rustling beside me made me turn my head to the right. Seeing my woman sleeping peacefully, I couldn't help but smirk.
-"My wife..."- I whispered.
The annoying tapping continued, forcing me to rise from the futon as quietly as possible so as not to disturb her. I walked to the window and opened it, finding my Anbu hawk waiting, a message tied to its left claw.
-"Damn"- I muttered, untying the parchment while removing the leather protectors from Kasai's claw before letting him go. Then, I headed to my study, where I sat at my desk and unfurled the scroll:
Anbu Captain.
S-Rank .
4-man Anbu squad.
You leave at dawn.
Mission length: indeterminate.
-"Indeterminate?"- I flipped the paper over and found a personal note from the Godaime.
It must be you. —Tsunade.
-"How dare she?!"- My fist clenched tightly around the paper. -"That's it."-
Without hesitation, I used the teleportation jutsu and appeared in front of the Hokage's desk, where she was sleeping... soundly.
-"Some Hokage..."-"Tsunade-sama"- I called out, loud enough to rouse her. She lifted her head off the desk, her eyes filled with irritation. I couldn't care less.
-"Uchiha"- she grumbled, slamming her fist down, sending wood splinters flying through the room. But I was no less furious than her.
-"What is the meaning of this?"- I placed the scroll before her. -"I only want to be with her, she's sick, and you send me away for an indeterminate time, claiming I'm the only one who can lead this mission?"-
-"This is the first time I've heard you talk this much"- she remarked.
-"Tsunade"- my temper was hanging by a thread, my voice almost a growl.
-"Enough, Uchiha! I am the Hokage, do not forget that. Go. Get ready. We're only a few hours from dawn."-
I clenched my jaw but knew I could say nothing more. She was my superior, and I owed her respect... If only it had been the dobe instead...
-"Excuse me, Tsunade-sama. I'll be ready"- I said stiffly, bowing before preparing to teleport.
-"Oh, and Uchiha,"- she called, making me halt mid-jutsu. My eyes met hers. -"Next time you barge into my office, at least put on more clothes."-
"Oh..." Hmph". I glanced down. I was only wearing pajama pants.
She smirked. -"Hinata is a lucky girl indeed."-
Annoyed, I completed my jutsu and reappeared in my study. A slight heat tingled on my cheeks.
-"Damn woman"- I mumbled.
-"S-Sasuke-kun?"-
Her soft voice made me turn toward the doorway. She stood there, her long hair slightly messy, wearing the top half of my pajamas, the first two buttons undone. Sleep still lingered in her watery eyes. I gripped the leather of my desk chair while sitting, deliberately trying to restrain myself. Could I jump on her right now?
-"I-Is everything all right? I s-saw Kasai at the w-window, so..."-
-"I have to leave."-
Understanding flickered in her gaze. She only asked how long.
-"The mission's duration is indeterminate."-
Her face fell, and I felt a weight press against my chest.
-"Hinata..."- I reached for her, silently apologizing. But then she smiled again and locked eyes with me. I was frozen in place as she walked toward me, drawing me into her moonlit gaze.
-"Sasuke-kun"- she whispered.
When I came back to my senses, I was still sitting in my chair, only now she was straddling my lap. -"Kami-sama..."-
-"I u-understand t-that you have t-to go,"- she murmured, slowly unbuttoning her—my—pajama top. I was gifted with the sight of her beautiful breasts.
She took my hands in hers, guiding them to her ribs just beneath her chest, encouraging me to touch her. I had to force myself to keep looking at her face.
-"Hinata..."- My hands pressed against her warm skin, trying to withhold myself. "I have to be sanctified after this level of self-control, dammit..."- "We can't do this." I barely managed to let the words out.
Her touch was intoxicating, her warmth setting my temperature aflame.
-"I j-just want t-to feel you."-
She removed the fabric completely and adjusted herself on my thighs, grinding against me. I was stunned and breathless, gripping her hips instinctively. Her arms wrapped around my neck, her supple mounds and silky nipples pressing against my bare torso, I vividly remembered the taste of them between my lips. Our synchronized breaths created an exquisite tension, a fleeting moment of peace and utter temptation before I had to leave.
My hands gently explored the curve of her back, pulling her closer as I felt the faint tremors beneath her skin. She moved against me, slow and purposeful, the light fabric of our clothes creating a tantalizing friction. My self-control faltered as I lifted her onto the desk, my gaze tracing the familiar form I knew so well—a temptation I couldn't ignore. I longed to savor her, to taste the sweetness of her essence, unable to resist the pull to cherish my wife fully.
-"You are so beautiful, Hinata."-
My hands traced a familiar path—her shoulders, collarbone, breasts, waist, abdomen, hips, and legs. -"Gods"- The anxiety of our impending separation gnawed at me, but then her fingers ran over my arms, finding my Anbu tattoo. She pressed a kiss to it, her lips warm against my skin.
-"I-I'll miss you s-so much... Anata" she whispered, looking into my eyes.
I could only bow my head, kissing her slowly, deeply, desperately, trying to prolong the minutes I had left. It took everything in me not to take her right there on that damn desk.
When we finally parted, we embraced quietly. I felt her temperature dropping slightly and goosebumps appear on her back, which snapped me back to reality. I gently picked up the fabric of my pajamas and helped her slip back into it, buttoning it up myself, depriving myself of the sight of her body while trying to ignore the damp an warm spot she had left on the thin fabric that covered my very stiff erection. -"Fuck"- It was almost time to go.
I kissed her forehead, and she laughed softly. I loved hearing her laugh.
-"I will do everything I can to return as soon as possible."
-"I-I know."-
-"Let's go to our room. I need to get ready."- My voice was neutral, though my mind was racing and my blood was literally boiling. I knew my duty.
-"H-Hai."-
Back in our room, she handed me a backpack from the dresser before stepping out. I packed my essentials: extra uniforms, towels, bandages, and medicine. Then, I headed to the armory, securing shuriken, ninja wire, kunai, and poisoned senbon in my holster. I grabbed two kodachi and placed them on the table alongside my pack. Finally, I retrieved a long wooden case from under the table. Inside lay my katana. I inspected the blade—it was sharp, clean, ready for use.
After showering, I dressed in my Anbu uniform, securing my armor. Kasai, who has patienly waiting by the window, perched on my arm as I refastened his leather protectors before sending him off. Once equipped, I moved to the kitchen, where I knew she'd be.
As expected, she was preparing something for me. Onigiri.
-"I must go."-
-"Y-Yes, of course. It's r-ready."-
She handed me a bento, a note attached with her beautiful handwriting: Come back soon. I love you. —Hinata.
Her face turned crimson when she saw me reading it, her fingers fidgeting nervously. I knew she wanted to say something, so I encouraged her.
-"What is it, hime?"
-"Uhm, I-I was j-just wondering…"
-"Yes?"
-"What's your favorite f-food?" she asked shyly.
I gazed at her softly. -"Tomatoes."-
Her eyes widened as if I'd just revealed some grand secret. She thanked me, as if honored by the knowledge.
-"It is time."
I secured the bento in my pack, donned my Anbu hood, and turned to her one last time. Holding her close, I inhaled her scent of jasmine and lavender.
-"I'll be back soon,"- I reassured.
I kissed her and headed toward the main shoji. But before placing my mask on, I glanced back at her. Deep crimson eyes looked straight into her soul.
-"Actually, Tsuma, you are my favorite indulgence. I hope to have a decadent feast when I return, Hi-na-ta." Her name left my lips in a deep rumble.
A startled squeak left hers, her face adorably flushed.
-"Mata na, mattero*"- I smirked, finding her reaction both tempting and endearing.
I secured my Anbu mask in place and left at full speed, making sure to give strict orders to the Uchiha complex guards to keep an eye on her. I wouldn't take any chances—she is still recovering.
Minutes later, I stood in the Hokage's office. Tsunade sat behind her desk, her expression unreadable. I was soon joined by the squad assigned to me, but the moment I counted their numbers, my instincts flared.
Six, not four.
-"Something's not right."-
As we stood before the Godaime, she leaned forward, her sharp gaze sweeping over us.
-"Remove your masks,"- a stern order.
I exchanged brief glances with my teammates before obeying. One by one, familiar faces were revealed: Neji Hyūga, Kiba Inuzuka, Shikamaru Nara, Rock Lee, Sakura, and—of course—the dobe.
-"Interesting."-
-"The success of this mission is imperative,"- Tsunade stated, her voice firm. -"That's why I've added two additional members to the squad."-
Her gaze met mine. I felt the weight of her next words before she even spoke them.
-"Your targets, Sasuke, are old acquaintances—Orochimaru's creations and his remaining allies. They're not pleased about his demise. That's why you're leading this mission. I trust you'll know how to handle them."
I exhaled sharply through my nose and nodded. -"Hmph."- I was definitely going to enjoy this.
-"Originally, the objective was to capture them alive,"- she continued, her expression darkening. -"Upon analyzing this thoroughly, that has changed. Exterminate them. We only need one to extract the necessary information. Understood?"
-"Roger."- The word echoed in unison from all of us.
-"Perfect. You're dismissed."-
Without hesitation, and after placing our masks back on, we vanished in a swirl of smoke. There was no uncertainty nor hesitation. Our mission was clear:
Exterminate.
*Mata na, mattero = See you, wait for me.
