Chapter 7: Secrets Revealed
(Later at the Barn…)
DJ, Stephaine, Michelle, Danny, Jesse, Becky, and Joey made him way to the barn, Becky switch light up, while Pamela & Danny had told DJ something that they told her for a long time, of when they told her she was adopted by them, but they never told DJ of where he really came from, but they had a clue to where… a clue that they had kept in their barn ever since it came to earth, with DJ inside it…
"They never showed you this, DJ. I guess we didn't know how to explain it." Danny said. "Still don't."
DJ gasped in shock…Danny removed a large sheet from over a large object, revealing it to be the spaceship-like ship they found DJ, all those years ago…
"You know how some babies are found in baskets?" Joey asked.
"Well, this is how your parents found you." Jesse said to her older niece.
"You're kidding, right?" DJ asked with a smile.
DJ watched as his family and friends were silent.
DJ sighs. "You're not. It looks like some kind of…" He said.
"We know DJ… this was what we found you in, It came crashing from the sky, nearly ramming us off the road years ago…" Danny explained, as DJ tried to touch the ship, causing it to suddenly give more glows to color, before DJ saw images flashing through her mind…
*Flashback to 1977*
After Pamela & Danny found baby Kara, now named DJ, Pamlea waited in the truck, not letting go of DJ, while gently rocking her, as DJ stayed calm and happy. At that moment, a large dump truck, as well as a car, pulled up behind Danny's truck. Out of the Dump Truck, got out some of Danny's construction fireworker friends, who went to find Danny at the crash site, while out of the car, got out DJ's family and friend Jesse and Joey white out of the car, who went to Danny's truck, to see if their daughter was alright, as DJ got out of the truck, to introduce them to the newest member of their family…
"Pamela, sis, are you okay?" Joey called as they approached Pamela, before noticing & gasping at the innocent infant in a warm red blanket, in Pamela's arms… "Oh my God, is that your baby?"
"Not exactly…" Pamela said slightly nervously, as they all noticed Danny, her brother and her friend hauling the pod-like ship into the back of the dump truck to keep it hidden, just as Jesse realised what Pamela meant…
"Are you saying… this baby was in that ship?! That she's some kind of alien?!" Jesse gasped in worry.
"Shh! Calm down Jesse, don't shout, you'll frighten DJ." Pamela calmed down her brother, as DJ gave a worried gurgle, as Pamela calmed her down too…
"Who's DJ?" Joey asked.
"For an alien, she looks so human, and beautiful." Jesse said in awe, as DJ gave a happy gurgle at her uncle…
"She was a human, no way." Joey said.
"The ship said she's an alien, she had no real name, there's no way I can give up this beautiful baby girl." Pamela said, while still gently rocking DJ.
"It can't be! He was an alien?!" Joey gasped in worry.
"I know, Joey." Danny said.
"Does she have a real name? She did not have a real name?" Joey asked.
"I don't know." Pamela said.
"Are you sure that you can look after her?" Jesse asked his sister.
"It's not about how much, Jesse, it's about protecting her. I can't give her up to an adoption center and tell them she's an alien we found in a forest, they'd either never believe me, or even freak out and have her taken away to research facility and be locked up and experimented on, I can't do that this to my baby girl, or any baby girl for that matter. Besides, we have enough of that, to protect our family secrets from the rest of the world." Pamela said sternly in determination to her reluctant brother.
"You're an adopted mother." Joey said with a smile.
"Too." Pamela said with a smile.
*Flashback Ends*
"DJ? Are you okay?" Danny asked nervously.
"So…all this time…you knew…I am…an alien?!" DJ said with shock.
"We couldn't tell you at the time we told you we adopted you, we were really worried for you, if the world knew you were from another world, they'd likely reject you, much worse than what you've told us of your identity towards you, despite them not knowing anyway…" Danny said nervously too.
"Sure, Dad." DJ said.
"Because unfortunately, people these days are afraid of what they don't understand…even though we didn't understand we loved you so much, there was no way we were going to give up to someone else, especially if they never understood worse than we knew about you…you'll always be our baby, DJ, there's way more to family, than just bloodline…" Becky said in comforting tones.
"You're right Becky, even if I am from someone else from the sky, you'll always be my family to me…" DJ said, calming down, as Danny joined in the hug… "But… What if Stephanie, Michelle, Kimmy, and you guys find out?" DJ asked nervously.
"We understand your concerns DJ… he probably will one day…" Jesse said calmly again.
"Sure, Uncle Jesse. But, Dad…Mom was killed in a car accident. I miss Mom." DJ said sadly.
"Honey, please don't cry. We miss her." Danny said.
"All those things I can do…all those powers…and I couldn't even save her." DJ said, as he quietly anguished and saddened looking down…
"But whether she accepts or rejects you sweetheart, we'll always be there for you." Danny also said calmly, as DJ gave a small but happy smile, knowing whatever the outcome of her, Stephanie, Michelle, and the others would be, her family and friends would be there for her…
(Later at Tanner Farm, night…)
The barn stands silhouetted against the night sky. Slowly tracks toward it, passing through the door.

Pitch dark inside. A red light emanates somewhere from beneath a mound of hay. The light seems to throb as it glows, as if calling out for something or someone.
