Chapter 36: Poison Trap (part 3)
It's time to fight back! The Bubble Guppies finally joined forces and talents to help one of their own in crisis. You already know one rule of this group: If you mess with one of them, you have to face the other 7 guppies. Because they don't abandon their own. And in this case, they had to work together to achieve their goals: Prove Urchin's innocence, Lilith's guilt and discover who the slanderer is who recorded and sent that video. They had to act quickly and discreetly if they wanted to prevent someone else from receiving the video. In addition, Urchin wanted to prove his innocence as soon as possible to prove to his fiancée that he really was loyal and what happened was against his will. Because he didn't want to lose his marriage engagement for something that wasn't his fault. Zooli still had her internal conflict. She wanted to believe her fiancé, but she wanted to wait to see solid evidence that he was telling the truth. And the others were willing to expose the truth.
Many days passed, and the group was investigating the video and analyzing Lilith's activities like detectives. Let's say that Urchin used his identity as "The Seer" to perform a deeper analysis and reveal the secrets. After an exhaustive investigation of days and nights, the day of the final attack arrived. We can see how outside the offices of Marine News the guppies were under cover.
"Listen carefully, you must go to the office to have one more "adventure" with her and discreetly you will talk about the video. Hoping that she says something guilty. And that is where you send us the signal and we go in to make the arrest. We already have a lot against her, but we need that confession to be able to lock her up... Are you ready for that?" Gil explained the plan.
"I think so...Knowing her, she's probably going to want to "do it" today since we haven't done it in days…" Urchin said quietly.
"I don't like this plan. That witch keeps touching him, kissing him and... Ugh! I hate to imagine it" Zooli crossed her arms.
"Friend, no one here likes that plan. But it's the way to catch her off guard. She's a woman who covers up her troubles and pulls strings to do whatever she wants. If we catch her at the least expected moment, it will be her end" Molly explained this point.
"Zooli...I want you to know that this is going to happen...It's not because I want it to, but it's the way to stop it. Trust me...once again" Urchin said to her.

"Guys, Lilith is a few blocks away from the offices...Urchin, this is your sign" Nonny called him.
"Okay...It's all or nothing" Urchin said determinedly. The boy in the wheelchair decided to go to his office as if he were going to work on a normal day. Urchin arrived at his desk and started working.
"Wow, but it's Urchin...First time you're late" It was Wilbur, a snail coworker.
"Actually, I arrived at my normal time. I just left because of an "exclusive" that the boss sent me. Besides, you're not Mr. Newman to care what I do" Urchin said that with some hostility disguised in a calm tone.
"Jeez, You didn't have to get like that just because of a question" Wilbur was a little surprised.
"Anyway, the boss told me that you have to go to editing to improve some details of your past reports" The wheel-chaired guppy said.
"Seriously, I thought the boss was satisfied...Meh, whatever...It'll be quick" Wilbur left him. The boy waited for his partner to leave to wait for someone. At that moment, Lilith arrived and went to her husband's office. That's where Urchin decided to go to his boss's office, where she should be.
"Oh hello, Mrs. Newman...I thought the boss would be here" Urchin greeted her.
"Oh, but dear, why is it so cold today? Come on in, I think my husband will be a little late. Why don't you help me out a little here?" Lilith said in her flirtatious tone and sat on Urchin's lap. She went to kiss him on the lips, but he wasn't very cooperative at the moment.

"Oh dear, are you still worried about that? I'm finding out who the meddler was and I'll make him pay" Lilith touched his face.

"Stop being dramatic. You know very well what will happen if you open your mouth. You are the one who will lose" Lilith started to undress him.
"You know the truth very well. You know perfectly well that you are the one who is forcing me and threatening me" The wheelchaired guppy faced her. She just gave him another slap.
"Does that matter, stupid? It's my word against yours. Now be a good boy and please me" Lilith said aggressively ready to undress.
"GET YOUR F*CKING HANDS OFF MY FIANCE, B*TCH!"
"HUH?!" Urchin and Lilith were a little scared. It was Zooli with an aggressive and scary look.
"Zo-Zooli...You weren't supposed to be here…" Urchin was shocked.
"Ah! You are the famous Zooli. He spoke very well of you to me" Lilith tried to act calmly.
"I know very well what you two have been doing for a long time. I won't allow it anymore!" Zooli clenched her fists.
"Come on, honey. Don't be bitter. I know we can come to an agreement. I'm sorry to be the first to take your boyfriend's virginity...Wouldn't you be up for a threesome? I wouldn't mind sharing" Lilith tried to use her manipulation skills.

"Just admit it, Lilith!" Urchin shouted loudly. She thought for a bit until she gave a worrying smile.
"Well...If that's all you want to hear, well...Listen, Zooli...Your fiancé really is a gentleman...Unfortunately, it's a shame that his condition doesn't allow him to resist me much" She smirked.
"You...you raped him!" Zooli was a bit surprised.
"Rape? What an ugly word, Zooli... But if that's what you want to call it, then yes. It's not like he's capable of putting up any resistance. But do you know something? You know too much, darling" Lilith pulled her weapon out of her sleeve...Literally!
"What is this?!" Urchin and Zooli were scared when they saw Lilith take out a gun.
"You're not thinking about... killing us, are you?" Urchin was nervous.
"Oh no, dear. I wouldn't be able to shoot you...Her on the other hand...Hehehe...Don't you find it dramatic to hear in the headlines: 'Boy murders his fiancée to hide his infidelity'? A crime of passion, don't you think?" Lilith smirked evilly.
"Don't tell me that..." Zooli was getting nervous.
"That's right...I plan to kill you and blame it on her precious boyfriend...After all, I can make the investigators, lawyers, prosecutors and judges be on my side and believe my version of the events...As the "key witness"...Hahaha! I love being in control of everything and everyone...Well, bye Zooli. It was nice meeting you" Lilith readied her weapon. Zooli thought she'd act fast, but can she be faster than a bullet? And Urchin was so pale that he was breathing heavily from stress and anxiety.
"NOBODY MOVE! DROP THE GUN!" Gil entered with two more police officers, all three wearing their uniforms and carrying their guns. Lilith was no fool, so she dropped the gun without any problem.
"Oh! I'm glad you're here, officers! This crazy woman tried to attack me and I just pulled out this gun in self-defense!" Lilith tried to get away with it.
"Go see who's buying that story, lady. We've been investigating you this whole time, and everything you said in this room has been recorded. So... Ahem, I'll state the formality. Lilith Newman, you're under arrest on charges of rape, sexual assault, extortion, abuse of power, attempted murder, and attempted framing. You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law. You have the right to an attorney. If you cannot afford an attorney, one will be provided for you" Gil acted professionally and let his two colleagues handcuff her and begin to lead her out of the office.
"Let me go! You don't know who I am! I can put you out of a job if I want to!" Lilith said furiously.
"So you've been cheating on me with my best employee…" It was Mr. Newman who was there seriously.
"H-H-Honey! I'm glad you're here! That Urchin is framing me!" Lilith wanted to trick him.
"Do you think I'm stupid? I heard everything they heard. How could you do this to me?!" Mr. Newman said bothered.
"As if it were the only time…" She said that before closing her mouth with a surprised gesture. Let's just say that she didn't know when to close her mouth.
"I see you didn't understand the part about 'You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law'. You are making my job easier" Gil smirked at her.
"Urchin...Are you okay?" Zooli was worried about her fiance.
"I'm...I'm fine...Thank you" He was calmer now.
"All right. Take her" Gil ordered. The officers took Lilith. She decided to stay silent and they took her away. The other guppies arrived on the scene. Some workers arrived a little surprised by the commotion.
"I think...I think that was it" Deema said.
"No...Not yet. Are any of you Wilbur Dickens?" Gil called him.
"Oh...It's me, Officer Gil...Is something wrong?" Wilbur appeared calmly.
"You will also go with us" Gil quickly managed to handcuff him.
"W-W-What?!" Wilbur was surprised.
"Wilbur Dickens, you are under arrest for defamation of illegal material and storing illegal material on your electronic devices" Gil said seriously.
"It's not true! They can't do this to me. It's a lie!" Wilbur defended himself.
"Don't be a liar. Let's say I managed to investigate you a little. Admit it, you were the one who sent the compromising video to Zooli and the Bubble Guppies...You are the defamer we were looking for" Urchin said seriously.
"And not only that. It turns out we found some 'not so suitable material' on your multiple devices. I admit you were clever in using a lot of cheap cell phones to hide your tracks. But hey... Not enough to erase the traces of your personal cell phone. And boy did it help" Nonny explained it.

"You have nothing to apologize for, Mr. Newman. I always knew she was acting behind your back. You are not at fault. And Wilbur... he acted out of mere jealousy…" Urchin said quietly.

"...I think...I think I need two things...First, for you to testify against Lilith and Wilbur when they have to face trial" The wheel-chaired boy said quietly.

Saying this, the guppies finally left the building and gathered together to talk.
"We did it! That witch will be behind bars for a LONG time!" Deema said excitedly.
"How can we be so sure of that?" Goby asked unsure.
"We made an order that she will be tried in another state. Knowing that she has a lot of influence here, in another state she will be tried more fairly" Gil said confidently about his job.
"And what about Wilbur? I don't think he'll spend much time in prison just for defaming me" Urchin asked curiously.
"Oh, don't worry about that. It turns out we found out that Wilbur was a member of 'The Diamond Network'. So he'll have more charges hanging over his head" Gil said calmly.
"I never thought I would hear that name again" Deema said quietly.
"The important thing was that they would no longer be a problem" Molly said with a smile.
"Well, I actually just wanted to say thank you all so much for helping me out. I couldn't have done it without any of you" Urchin thanked them.
"That's what we're here for. We never leave one of our own helpless" Oona said happily.
"Urchin...I think we need to talk...alone" Zooli proposed to him. He simply nodded his head up. The other guppies understood this and without saying anything, they left to leave this couple alone.
"What do you want to talk about?" Urchin asked her. What he didn't expect was that Zooli was shaking a little and holding back the urge to cry.
"I...I...I'm so sorry! I doubted your fidelity and made you feel like you deliberately deceived me...I should have assumed that you were forced. And I couldn't believe you until we got the proof...I should have learned to trust you! But...the pain...the memories...made me believe other things that are not true. You are not like those who hurt me in the past...Urchin...You...You...You are the love of my life! And I don't deserve your love" That strong woman's facade broke at that moment. Zooli began to sob loudly. Urchin could only hold her hand while he also held back the urge to cry.
"Why do you think you don't deserve my love?" Urchin said quietly.
"...snif….snif….I'm supposed to be your wife...and wives are supposed to trust their husbands...and if I couldn't trust you on this...I don't deserve this...you deserve someone better" Zooli cried a bit.
"Zooli…..You are the woman I decided to love... It's true, it hurt me that you believed something else and that I couldn't explain it to you... I understand the pain you went through... But look now... We are together... Zooli, in marriage things are not so easy and we will face difficult things like this. But... if we could overcome this terror... Marriage will not be so difficult... If you promise to trust me, just as I promise to trust you…" Urchin took her hands. Zooli could only smile even with tears in her eyes. She decided to hug him, and he hugged her back.
"Urchin...I promise to trust you more...I just...have one question: Is our wedding still on?" Zooli asked him.
"There's no doubt about it...There will be a wedding, Mrs. Lee-Rivers" Urchin smiled at her.

"I'll say 'I do' that day…." Without warning, she kissed him slowly and delicately. He kissed her back, hugging her neck. They both looked at each other after stopping the kiss.
"I missed this...One kiss from you is much better than several from another" Urchin was delighted.
"And many more kisses and more things await you from me, Urchin" Zooli said romantically.
"H-Hey…Are you sure you're okay? You're not usually so romantic... Or that you like public displays of affection... You know they're watchi-" Urchin was blushing a lot. And he got interrupted by a finger from his girlfriend.
"There are exceptions...And this warrants it...Come, Urchin" Without giving him much time, Zooli kissed him passionately. And most importantly, with love and gentleness. Urchin didn't expect her to get so sentimental. Without worrying anymore, knowing that his nightmare was over, he decided to reciprocate her kisses in a romantic way. And it was true, they weren't the only ones who were nearby.
"AWWWWWW!" Molly, Deema and Oona screamed like fangirls, even though they were at a distance where the couple couldn't hear them.
"I didn't expect to see that side of Zooli. She feels out of character" Gil was surprised.
"After so much has happened in the last few days, I think they both need that moment" Goby answered him.
"In fact, what are we doing here? We should leave them alone" Nonny called his friends.
"Don't be a party pooper, Nonners. This is adorable" Deema said happily.
"Let's just leave them alone for a moment. We're not teenagers anymore to do this kind of thing" Molly ordered them.
"Yeah, let's leave them for now. They need to make up for lost time. Besides, I'm sure they'll need our help later" Gil said positively.
"What do you mean by that, dude?" Goby asked him.
"Isn't it obvious? They'll need our help for the wedding, of course!" Gil smiled at them.
"First, I will help them with some sessions for couples . They need some help to get over everything they have been through" Oona said.
"So we'll have work ahead of us, huh?" Deema raised her eyebrow.
"A lot of work, indeed" Gil said before everyone decided to leave. Finally, Zooli and Urchin were able to reconcile. Although they knew they needed some time to heal emotionally from what happened. But nothing that good support from both families and their best friends couldn't help with. That day, they learned to trust each other more. Without a doubt, it was a difficult situation that put their loyalty into question. But that only served to prove what they were willing to do for each other. And with this, I can assure you of one thing... There will be a wedding!

In a prison far from the town we know, there was a woman we know well, unfortunately.
"Prisoner #203: Lilith Newman, you have a "conjugal" visit" The woman simply arrived at the visitor center where someone was waiting for her with little excitement.
"Oh, hello, darling! Did you miss me? I missed you! You mustn't believe the nonsense everyone is saying about me. You must believe me" Lilith smiled.
"I wish I could believe you, but I can't. The evidence against you is strong. And you know what's worse? Urchin wasn't the only one! You blackmailed others into being with you. What did I do wrong? I wasn't making you feel good... You know what, I forgot about it... I only came here for one thing" Luke Newman simply showed her some papers.
"Wait...You've got to be kidding me? It's not possible..." She got surprised.
"You thought there would be no further consequences...Hmpt...Just sign those papers. I'm asking you for a divorce" Luke said seriously.
"You can't do this to me! You're nobody without me!" Lilith said bothered.
"What you did is unspeakable. You are so perverse that I don't know how I didn't see it before. Just sign, there's nothing you can do now. Everything was settled with my lawyers... You won't get a single dollar from me" Luke said seriously. The woman just grunted and signed the papers.
"Hmpt as if I need anything from you. I made my wealth apart. Get out of here" Lilith crossed her arms.
"...I'll see you at the trial…" That's all he could say. However, something strange happened. The guards came to take her to her cell, but instead, they took her somewhere else.
"H-Hey, My cell is on the other side, gentlemen" She was a bit nervous. That's when we noticed something strange. The guards put her in the sewers of the prison and asked her to continue forward without protest. She simply obeyed, although disgusted by the waste until she came out of those sewers and noticed that she had escaped from the prison. And there was someone waiting for her.
"Wow Wow...Lilith Newman, the Sexual Predator...That's what the headlines say. Way to tarnish your reputation. And I thought Bossi held you in high regard" A familiar voice to us said that.
"Who are you, young man?" She asked curiously.
"I'm Harris. Harris Cadaverini, my business name, madame" It was him, bowing at her.
"Cadaverini, eh? I had a good business relationship with Bossi. It's a shame how it ended. But you must be the heir...I thought the House of Cadaverini disappeared" Lilith asked him.
"And everyone fell for that story, fella! Anyway, I need you for the Revival of the House of Cadaverini. Since you are a woman of many resources. And not only that...I know your secret" Harris smirked evilly.
"Secret, haha! What are you talking about, young man?" Lilith said confidently.
"I know about your biggest dark business: The Diamond Network. You are Lilith Newman, aka, The Diamond Queen! You have a hidden criminal empire, don't you?" Harris smiled.
"H-H-H-How How do you know about that?!" Lilith was shocked.
"I have my reliable sources. So, you have unfinished business with that Urchin for ruining your "fun", but you also hate "The Seer" for having exposed many of your trusted members" Harris explained.
"Ugh! Yeah...I didn't think a handicapped person would give me any trouble...And that damn hacker was after me! You don't know how many fake accounts I've had to create to avoid being caught by that Seer" Lilith commented.
"Oh, but what a coincidence! We have enemies in common! Do you want me to tell you a secret, madame? Urchin and The Seer... They are the same person" The New Cadaverini smirked.
"W-W-WHAT?! IT-IT-IT CAN'T BE?!" The woman was angry.
"It's the truth. Here's the deal. Keep running The Diamond Network in anonymity and make lots of money for me and my cause...And you'll have your revenge on Urchin and The Seer...What do you say?" Harris proposed to her. She was silent, thinking about the offer. She made a decision.
"I will do it...I will do it under one condition: Just like you were able to get me out of prison, I want you to get someone out of prison for me. It's about... my son." Lilith said.
"Awwww I didn't know you were a mom. I respect motherhood and surely that person will be useful...Deal. Just tell me, what is your son's name?" Harris asked her.
"...His name is….Paul Callen…"
