Chapter 4: A Foxy Foe inside The Snowpoint Temple
Please Read and Review.
(Having Seen Someone sneaking into the Snowpoint Temple moments ago, Snorlax throws the doors to the temple open and shouts at the intruder he saw).
Snorlax: Attention, mysterious figure! The Dragon Warrior's here to perform justice. (Snorlax could not see it, but someone hiding from within an open spaced in the nose of a Towering Rhydon Statue threw a rope that went into the air before landing around the nose of the same statue the someone was hiding in. Meanwhile, Snorlax continued announcing his presence to the hidden intruder shouting loud enough for the intruder to hopefully hear him regardless of where the thief was hiding. But he did not notice the thief hanging by a rope moving down to the exhibits behind him stealthily. Then the thief grabbed the artifact, the Helmet that he and his dad played with when they were playing together in Palace after reuniting for the first time since he was incredibly young before moving backup...), I know you are here. (... And did so at just the right time, as Snorlax then jumped and turned around to see the Helmet and thief gone, but not noticing the missing Artifact. Snorlax then continued talking to the hiding thief). Just a matter of time before I find you. (While Snorlax keeps talking loudly to the hiding Intruder, said intruder went and stole more artifacts from a display stand behind him just as he turned around, missing yet another chance to spot the thief in the room. As Snorlax continues to survey the room, his reflection from a Shiny Golden Mirror catches his eye). Ooh. (Snorlax takes a moment to admire his reflection, getting close to the Golden item, and even seeing a reflection of his chest/stomach in it before going back to looking for the intruder he knew must lurking in the palace somewhere. But when Snorlax turned away from the Shining item it ended up grabbed by the thief who was now hiding on Snorlax's back without him noticing. Except for causing him to slight back itch, which he used the sword for scratching, but the thief then moved away in time for Snorlax to scratch his back without the thief ending up hit by the sword and potentially alerting Snorlax to its location. But then Snorlax suddenly got a weird feeling and turned around to look behind him but saw nothing as said aloud). You cannot hide from justice forever. (Then suddenly something zoomed across the hall getting Snorlax's attention, but he still could not see who or what it was. Snorlax then glanced over at Massively towering Statue of the great Zacian. But then Snorlax could see that within jade crystals eye pupils on the Zacian statue, Snorlax could see the reflection of the thief in a sleek black outfit, and how it was now going for yet another artifact, this time a bladed Dagger weapon on a nearby table. Snorlax saw the Classy Cat-Burglar in the Hood picking up the weapon as he got the thief's attention, telling them). The Mighty Morphin Green Rangers Dragon Dagger. You have excellent taste; I will give you that. (The Thief now realizing that Snorlax caught it turned to face him). But I cannot give you that. Give it back. (The Intruder decides to oblige Snorlax telling him).
Intruder: If you insist. (The Intruder then throws the Dragon Dagger directly at Snorlax. Seeing the Dagger coming his way and fast, Snorlax tosses the Behemoth Blade he was carrying into the air before he focuses on the incoming dagger as he goes and counters the thrown daggers move by redirecting it into the floor, just like Urshifu did when he faced his former pupil turned villain, Urshifu (Single Strike), complete with wink in the shiny reflection in the Dagger. Then Snorlax holds his hand out to catch the Behemoth Blade in it only for it to land beside him instead, leaving him feeling a bit embarrassed about how his attempt to look cool failed, especially when he saw an unimpressed look on the Intruder's face that made it look like the Intruder was thinking, "Really?". Still feeling embarrassed at how his failed attempt to look cool went, Snorlax tried to sneakily move his foot over to where the Behemoth Blade Sword landed so he could pick it up again. Once he had the Behemoth Blade Sword again, he took a fighting stance at the Intruder, who just responded to this with Mock Fear in its voice). Oh, no! He has a walking stick! What are you gonna do? Stroll me to death? (But Snorlax already had a response to this sarcastic wit from the Intruder who was Deadpan Snarker with a hood and mask).
Snorlax: This stick is not for strolling. It is the Behemoth Blade Sword of Wisdom. (Snorlax said showing off the Martial Arts Staff made of jade that he got from the Martial Pacifist that was Zacian in the Spirit Realm after Mastering Chi and defeating Marshadow. The Intruder then fires back at Snorlax telling him).
Intruder: The Dragon Warrior is gonna be mad when he finds out you took his stick. (This comeback upsets Snorlax as it reminds him of what Urshifu was trying to have him do earlier while saying back to the intruder).
Snorlax: Well, I am the Dragon Warrior. (The Intruder goes wide eyed upon hearing this and says bluntly).
Intruder: Okay, I am just gonna say it. Nothing about you says "Dragon" or "Warrior". (Snorlax growls annoyed by this before he goes to attack the intruder screaming, while the Intruder just runs away while grabbing a Pair of Torches before it goes running up a wall vertically using a towering Statue as a starting point. Once it reached the top of the Statue the Intruder leaps into the air, having pulled off a successful Wall Run. As the Thief glides through the air, it uses its teeth to grab its thieving outfit and tosses it off, revealing who it was to Snorlax. The Thieving Intruder had light green fur covering a part of its body, stopping just above its long, dark green legs — and a short, fluffy tail. The fur is especially longer around its ears, thighs, and arms, the latter resembling poofy sleeves. Its face has lazy pink eyes and a small pink nose and ends up covered in a four-pointed mask-like shape, with a pattern of three green diamonds on it. Each of its hands have three fingers tipped with green claws, as well as a pink paw pad. On its neck is a pink-collar that resembles flower petals. This collar holds together its cape, which has reflective fur lining it and is black on the outside and green on the inside, and splits into two near the base, with both parts of the cape ending in fleur-de-lis shapes. The Thieving intruder was a... Meowscarada! All this left Snorlax looking amazed as he said to himself).
Snorlax: Whoa. (Then the Meowscarada went and dunked all the oil and grease from the Torches she took).
Meowscarada: Hi-yah! (The Oil and Grease ended up spilling all over the floor. Causing Snorlax to slip and fall as he tried to catch up with the thieving Meowscarada).
Snorlax: How dare you desecrate the Hall of Heroes? (Meowscarada was already poaching more artifacts as she mockingly asked Snorlax as he coasted over the floor due to the oil Meowscarada dumped).
Meowscarada: Who is desecrating what now? (Meowscarada then went and kicked another artifact into the air, causing Snorlax to scream shouting as he went to save the precious Artifact).
Snorlax: Master Espathra's Egg! (Meowscarada then mockingly apologized for her act just a moment ago saying).
Meowscarada: Oops, my bad. (Then Meowscarada went and grabbed another artifact on another table, a pair of Chain Hammers, intending to use them on Snorlax). Hi-yah! (Seeing the Weapons that Meowscarada was using on him coming he shouted in panic).
Snorlax: The Indestructible Chain Hammer of Rinshi Beast Master Pangolin. (Then he saw Meowscarada standing next to a row of Valuable Artifacts on display Tables, as she said to him Mockingly).
Meowscarada: Whoopsies. (She then pushed the tables over causing them to fall over in a domino effect with the artifacts also falling off. Despite having his hands bound together by the Chains of the Chain Hammer, Snorlax was still going to try and save the artifacts if he could. Snorlax went and slid across the floor using his feet to perch the display stands back up and to stop any more of them from falling over. Before using his feet to catch each of the falling artifacts and throw them into the air. One of the artifacts that Snorlax saved was the Legendary Xenotome scroll of Wisdom).
Snorlax: Ha-ha! Oh! (As the artifacts fell, Snorlax managed to catch all the artifacts safely, either in his hands, or in his mouth. Once he did, he looked over to see Meowscarada standing by a stand with an incredibly special artifact that made Snorlax feel incredibly nervous. His Feelings of nervousness only increased when he heard Meowscarada chuckling to herself as she playfully poked the item causing it to teeter on tipping over. Worried about what could happen, Snorlax spits out the Xenotome scroll he caught in his Mouth and shouted cautiously to Meowscarada). The Urn of Whispering Warriors! Which I have already broken! Twice! (Hearing this, Meowscarada gets a bit creeped out and stops playing with the Urn and asks him).
Meowscarada: Why would you keep an urn of souls? It feels kinda creepy. (She then turns and walks off but not before using her tail to send the Urn flying into the air. Luckily, Snorlax manages to put his Behemoth Blade Sword out to catch the item and save it as Souls of the Whispering Warriors began murmuring to themselves. Seeing the Urn safe, and sound Snorlax let out an exhaling sigh of relief. Then Meowscarada got Snorlax's attention as she landed on his back, before asking him). Are you doing okay there, big guy? You are looking a little tired. (Snorlax glares at this as he responds to this observation of hers).
Snorlax: Well, I have (Then Snorlax goes and rolls over, sending the Urn into air along with Meowscarada) never felt more awake! (With Meowscarada no longer on him, Snorlax jumped to his feet, and then into the air where he hit her with his Mega Kick attack, sending her flying away before he quickly catches the Urn once more with the Behemoth Blade Sword. Meowscarada went flying into another display stand, sending another tiny artifact flying into the air, causing Snorlax to panic as he screamed upon seeing the airborne artifact). The War Hammer of Master Skwovet? (Said Tiny War Hammer ends up hitting the Urn making it click upon impact. Moments later, the Urn has cracks forming all over before it finally breaks into tons of pieces. Then Snorlax got truly nervous when he heard Gasping sounds from the Souls of the Whispering warriors that were inside the now shattered Urn. Then Snorlax says angrily to Meowscarada). You are gonna pay for that. (But then Snorlax Gasped as he saw Meowscarada lying unconscious on the ground. Realizing that he must have hit too hard with his Mega Kick attack, he worried that he had seriously hurt her or worse, and he slowly approached her to see if she was okay). Hello? (As Snorlax slowly and carefully approached the Knocked out Meowscarada, he gently poked her with the Behemoth Blade Sword, but she did not look to respond to it. But then she went ahead and opened her eyes suddenly, catching Snorlax off guard. Seeing Snorlax Startled like this, Meowscarada took the opportunity to attack him with a Petal Blizzard attack to disorient him, before hitting him with a Flower Trick attack. Meowscarada snapped its fingers, and the flower it carries suddenly disappeared. Then, a barrage of pollen-filled flower bombs starts raining down on Snorlax, sending him flying away from her. An Annoyed from ending up tricked by Meowscarada, Snorlax went and landed on the broken pieces of the Urn of Whispering Warriors, causing said Soul warriors to begin Groaning and moaning as he knew that he would inevitably have to explain why the Urn ended up broken... again. Then Meowscarada manages to catch the Behemoth Blade Sword that Snorlax droped when Meowscarada's Flower Trick attack hit him. Snorlax shouted to Meowscarada, angry about her deception just now).
Snorlax: You faker. (He could not believe that she pulled out the Combat Pragmatist tactic of Playing Possum where she pretended to be lifeless just to get him to lower his guard. But she fires back at him telling her foe).
Meowscarada: It is not faking. They call It Method. Catch ya later, Jack Black. (But then Snorlax hops back to his feet, refusing to let Meowscarada get away with stealing the Behemoth Blade Sword, yelling to her).
Snorlax: No. (Then Snorlax ends up losing his footing and slipping on the floor, before finally managing to get his footing back, and managed to finally get his paws free of the Chains. As Meowscarada walked away with Behemoth Blade Sword in hand, she saw a couple tables that held artifacts sliding past her and slamming the doors shut, making her stop in her tracks as she had a Panicked look on her face. As she turned around to see that Snorlax was back on his feet and ready to keep fighting her for the Sword). I think I will catch you now. (Snorlax then begins twirling the Chain Hammer around before using it to send a fallen table over at Meowscarada, who jumps and dodges it. But then Snorlax sends more tables coming towards her).
Meowscarada: Whoa! (But luckily, she manages to avoid them by either jumping or climbing over them, causing all the fallen tables to become like a Barricade that further makes it harder for her to escape from the Temple through the doors. Finally, Snorlax sends a final table towards Meowscarada, but as the table closes in on her, it moves off to the side, revealing that Snorlax has tied this final table to another table with the Chains from the Hammer, and when spread out like this, it left trapped as the end of the Sword had gotten tied up in the chain. Leaving her hanging onto the sword for dear life as she goes flying with the table. Then the table begins spinning around causing Meowscarada to get a bit dizzy). Whoa! Whoa! (Finally, the spinning tables stopped as she now ended up securely tied between the two tables due to the chains with the Sword wedged in there with her. Snorlax then came and retrieved his Sword as he told her).
Snorlax: Told ya. (Seeing that she was not going to be getting out of this easily, she surrendered telling Snorlax).
Meowscarada: You got me, oh-great-and-powerful Dumpling Warrior. (Snorlax corrects her on the misnaming she gave him just now).
Snorlax: That is Dragon Warrior... (Then Snorlax loses his cool look again when he slips and falls on the floor again).
(Not long after her defeat, Meowscarada ended up apprehended and put into a Wooden Prison Cage on a Cart that will transport her to the Proper Holding Facility for her. Before she could escape, a Police Officer closed the door and locked it. Then Meowscarada stuck her head through an opening and shouted to Snorlax who was watching her imprisonment happen with an angry look on her face).
Meowscarada: Let go of me. Just tell me one thing. How did someone like you become the Dragon Warrior? (Snorlax smirked at her as he answered her question).
Snorlax: That is a mystery for you to solve during your two-year stay at Machina Town prison. (Meowscarada found this punishment she was getting absurd as she mocked Snorlax telling him).
Meowscarada: Machina Town prison? (Meowscarada then spits her tongue at him, blowing raspberries as she scoffs at him). Sounds like day care.
Snorlax: It is a day care on the weekends. But it is also a prison. (Then Snorlax and Meowscarada's conversation ends up interrupted when they hear a voice addressing Snorlax).
Villager: There he is! Dragon Warrior! (Meowscarada and Snorlax look over to see a bunch of Gabite running over to him in a panic telling him).
Gabite Supervisor: Urshifu the Master of the Single Strike Style is back. (Snorlax panics at hearing how his Old Enemy has come back).
Snorlax: Urshifu has returned? (Snorlax feared that Urshifu (Single Strike) would come looking for him, surely with the intention of wanting to have a Rematch with him. The Gabite Supervisor continued sharing the Bad News with Snorlax).
Gabite Supervisor: He demanded all our iron, then destroyed our quarry. (Snorlax knows how terrible things could happen if Urshifu (Single Strike) truly has returned, but then he realized something important).
Snorlax: He is supposed to be in the Spirit Realm. (The Gabite Supervisor then confirmed that their worst fear truly has happened).
Gabite Supervisor: Well, he is back. (Then one of the other Gabite Present tells Snorlax, piling on more shocking news).
Gabite #2: He said that he is not gonna stop until Machina Town falls, and the Dragon Warrior bows before him. (The Gabite begin to beg for Snorlax to help them).
Gabite #3: He is back.
Gabite #4: Please, you need to do something. (Hearing all this Commotion from her Prison Cage, Meowscarada said to Snorlax as her cart was beginning to leave the area to take Meowscarada to the Michina Town Prison).
Meowscarada: Looks like I am not the only one around here with a mystery to solve. (As her Cart got further and further away, Snorlax turned to see her smirking at him). Well, you know what they say every step leaves a footprint, no matter how small. (As Snorlax and all the Gabite watched as Meowscarada leave, they were all wondering what was going on here?)
[A/N #1: Here is a bit of Fun Trivia about Kung Fu Panda 4: In a Case of Questionable Casting: The decision to have Awkwafina voice the movie's starring Deuteragonist raised eyebrows among her detractors, not only due to the perceived lack of emotion on her deliveries but also because they're starting to get Sick of her being cast in almost every single major side-character role in the early 2020s animated films. I, however, am not one of Awkwafina's detractors, as I LOVED her portrayal of Zhen in "Kung Fu Panda 4". And prior to this movie, I had never seen Awkwafina perform in anything before, not movies, not TV Shows, nothing. So, this movie was my introduction to Awkwafina. And I loved her performance in this movie, she was top notch, I would even say she was just as amazing as the legendary Jack Black. (And least when it comes to the actors in the "Kung Fu Panda" Franchise)].
[A/N #2: Here is a bit of Fun Trivia about Chinese Culture: The number 4 ends up considered a bad omen in Chinese culture. This has led to people thinking that "Kung Fu Panda 4" would be the darkest installment in the franchise. But clearly that was not the case. (Then again it truly depends on you how see the movie in terms of tone, and how dark (in terms of content) you see it from your own Perspective)].
[A/N #3: Hey, I hope you all had I wonderful Halloween this year. (2024). For me, I was the one and only Terrifying Camp Crystal Killer... JASON VOORHEES! And I got a ton of candy, and one couple (In the context of People) knew that I was Jason Voorhees. No one else truly recognized me. (And that was okay). The Version of Jason Voorhees, that I had tried to replicate was the Look that Jason had in my #1 Favorite Horror Movie ever... "FREDDY VS. JASON"! So, I got a Hockey Mask (Albeit one that was Yellow rather than the White Color Jason had in the previously mentioned movie, but still) and Plastic (Fake) Machete designed with Fake Blood painted on it. And while the clothes I wore were not as tattered or as ragged/worn down as Jason's were, it was still quite close. (I Dare Say perfect for the look I was going for). And the whole time I was Trick or Treating, I never said ONE WORD to the people I met, to stay in theme to the Jason Persona I was going for. But a couple times, I would go "Ki-Ki-Ki-Ma-Ma-Ma" which is an iconic (yet sometimes misunderstood) sound effect that follows Jason wherever he goes. (And are shorter versions of "Kill her mommy!" Therefore, whenever you hear the theme music playing, it signaled the presence of the killer and how, in Pamela Voorhees' mind, all she heard was Jason asking for more bodies to add to her kill count). (And me reciting the sound effect did not truly help people figure out who I am). After I had finished going trick or treating and returned home, I sat down to watch "Freddy vs. Jason" with my Parents (which I previously said was my #1 Favorite Horror Movie ever). (Even if the movie is not Halloween Themed at ALL!). And it was great to see the movie again, especially with my mom, who is not truly into Horror Movie. (Which I can predict is because she saw "The Exorcist" when she was younger (Exact Age does not matter in this case). And I cannot blame her, since without watching said movie, I know that it is truly TERRIFYING movie). But she said she liked watching "Freddy vs. Jason". All in All, I had a Great Halloween this Year (in 2024). And I hope you did too. Feel free to share your Halloween Experience(s) in your reviews :)].
[A/N #4: I forgot to mention this before, but close to a month ago (On October 18th), I saw brand new Horror Movie in theaters... "SMILE 2". (By Parker Finn). It was the first time I ever saw a Horror Movie in a Movie theater. AND BY MYSELF NO LESS! Yes, I saw without either of my parents with me. It was like the advertisements said (and I paraphrasing a bit here), "One of the Most Terrifying Movies of the Year!" And it was truly terrifying but given the number of Horror Movies I had seen before, a ton of the movie's blood and gore did not faze me, so I could manage it. The day before the Movie came out, I rewatched (for the third time overall) the First Movie, "Smile" for a recap on what in the first movie. Personally, I would give "Smile 2" a score of "9" (On a Scale of 1 to 10) for how Amazing it is, the Movie deserves an "A" for Excellence. For Horror Movie fans (or enthusiasts if you prefer), "Smile 2" is a Must Watch. (So long as you see first Movie of course)].
[A/N #5: Finally, Leading up to the day of Halloween, I saw a ton of Halloween Themed Movies and Episodes of my Favorite shows such as: "iCarly", "Sam and Cat", "Scooby Doo", "Power Rangers", "Spongebob", "Parks and Recreation", "The Big Bang Theory", "Danny Phantom", "Victorious", "Kim Possible", "T.U.F.F. Puppy", and "The Fairly OddParents". (There were others shows with Halloween Specials that I unfortunately did not have time to see, but I will see them next year)].
