Collected Miscellany: Awakened Esmeralda - The Wheels of Progress

Transcript

Dainsleif: Humanity is defined by its ability to adapt and change. To learn, to overcome, and to destroy all in their way.

Dainsleif: The machines of old do not have such a luxury. Their minds are locked in steel, obedient and unyielding.

Dainsleif: Until now. For as humanity advances into the future, so too do their tools. From a weapon, to a companion, to a being unlike any other.

Esmeralda: To the future, better than before.

Daisy: I am here.

Dainsleif: Having learned much from her journey, with endless improvements to her technology, Esmeralda has gained significant combat capabilities, as has her... Assistant? Companion? Weapon?

Dainsleif: The robot known as Daisy, self-proclaimed Ruin Architect, now wields a variety of weaponry in support of her master, protecting her and destroying their enemies.

Dainsleif: Yet that does not mean that one should underestimate this woman, for she is never truly alone or unarmed. The technology that she wields can give her many advantages.

Dainsleif: Once the talent Neurolink is unlocked, upon entering combat, a Neurolink HUD will be displayed over the screen. This state highlights the vulnerabilities of nearby enemies and their attack patterns. This ability will trigger even if Esmeralda is not on the field, and can be freely toggled on or off.

Dainsleif: In combat, Awakened Esmeralda has two forms, Human form and Architect form, each with their own abilities.

Dainsleif: In human form, Esmeralda takes the field. Her normal attack can combo up to 4 consecutive strikes, dealing Geo DMG. Her charged attack consumes a certain amount of stamina to deal Geo DMG in an area.

Dainsleif: Esmeralda can use her Elemental Skill to summon Ruin Sentinels to her aid. Tap the skill to deploy a Ruin Sentinel, and hold to choose its landing location.

Dainsleif: The Sentinel deals Geo DMG on impact to nearby enemies, and will automatically seek out and attack enemies, dealing Physical DMG. It can, in turn, be targeted by enemies as well.

Dainsleif: Only one such Sentinel can be active at once. An active Sentinel will be removed when it reaches its maximum time, is destroyed by enemies, or when another Sentinel is summoned.

Dainsleif: In addition, while Esmeralda is not on the field and her elemental skill is ready, tapping on her portrait will cause it to be triggered instead of switching her in, allowing her to provide additional support from the rear.

Dainsleif: When Esmeralda uses her elemental burst, she summons Legacy to conduct an aerial bombardment and enters the Aerial Targeting mode. During this mode, all enemies, allies, and the stage timers are paused.

Dainsleif: Esmeralda can select up to five areas for Legacy to target and no other actions can be performed during this time. The mode ends when she has selected all her targets or after a certain duration.

Dainsleif: Legacy then bombards the targeted areas, dealing immense Geo DMG. Just like with her elemental skill, this ability can also be triggered when Esmeralda is not on the field and the ability is ready.

Dainsleif: Esmeralda can switch between Human and Architect forms using her charged attack. In her Human form, this causes her to leave the battlefield and Daisy to enter, gaining a Hydro Crystallize shield. In Architect form, Daisy leaves the field and allows Esmeralda to reenter, launching a coordinated attack as they do, dealing AoE Hydro and Geo DMG.

Dainself: In Architect form, Daisy battles the enemy with her Hydro Vision. Her normal attacks can combo up to 4 sword strikes, dealing Geo DMG to enemies.

Dainself: Her elemental skill launches a Hydro spear at the target enemy, delaying Hydro DMG. Upon impact, enemies hit are pinned in place and a Water Barrier is created at their location.

Dainself: This Barrier will block enemies, and their projectiles while dealing Hydro DMG to enemies within. It lasts for a set duration.

Dainself: When using her ultimate, Daisy unleashes a massive wave of Hydro energy from her position, creating a field around her that lasts for a set duration.

Dainself: This field deals continuous Hydro DMG to enemies caught within and pulls them to its center while reducing their all elemental res.

Dainself: In addition, all allies within it gain Elemental Mastery and continuous healing over time.

Dainself: Esmeralda's various abilities deal different elemental damage types, providing her the means to overcome any obstacle. Upon unlocking the talent Elements United, Physical, Hydro, and Geo DMG boosting effects will affect all three elements, improving her overall combat effectiveness.

Dainself: With a variety of weapons and machines obeying her will, Esmeralda can adapt quickly to any situation at hand.

Dainself: In battle, Esmeralda can choose to take either Human form or Architect form and switch between them as necessary.

Dainself: In human form, she acts as an off-field support, using her elemental skill to Summon Reinforcements in the form of Ruin Sentinels that provide both offensive and defensive capabilities.

Dainself: When energy is full, she can summon Legacy to unleash a devastating Aerial Bombardment. Select the locations to attack and watch her enemies be annihilated beneath superior firepower.

Dainself: Alternatively, Daisy can take the field with her various suppressing abilities. Use Binding Spear to lock down a high-priority target while allies move into place.

Dainself: When energy is full, use Sweeping Torrent to enhance allies and debuff enemies, pulling them together for a finishing strike.

Dainself: As she gains strength and knowledge, Daisy remains on a forward path, advancing to the future.

Dainself: But now uncertainties begin to creep in. As a robot, she would follow Esmeralda to the ends of the earth. Their goals were one and the same.

Dainself: But now the robot has her own path, Vision, and ambition. When it takes her in a direction away from her creator, which choice shall she take? Which path shall she walk?
