Chapter 5:
It was bright and early in the morning, the sun was shining with a few clouds in the sky, birds were chirping, and the streets were busy with many people on their way to work or a place to eat. Observing her surroundings, Blake Belladonna had recently left the White Fang after realizing that the group had gone down a dark path, and started to commit actions that hurt innocent people, whether they were human or faunus.
Blake felt lost now that she left the group she was essentially born in. She didn't have a plan on what to do from here, the only thing she could think of at the moment was Vale's vigilante, Spider-man. Blake was curious about the web-head and his actions, Spider-Man would help and save the lives of anyone in danger, no matter what race they were. Blake was a bit surprised that a faunus would take the mantle of being a hero to everyone around him, but she wondered if that was it. Blake wanted to know if there was a reason to why he chooses to be a hero. Blake planned on confronting Spider-man to test his abilities, and hopefully get answers of her own. But first, she plans on getting a certain book she likes to read, even though it's lewd book she can't help but enjoy such a guilty pleasure.
Blake arrives at a bookstore called "Tukson's Book Trade", she enters the store and is greeted by it's owner.
"Hello and welcome to Tukson's Book Trade, home to every book under the son."
"Hello Tukson, I see business is going as per usual today." Blake asks with a slight smile.
"Yup, not many customers at the moment, been thinking of moving out of Vale soon. So what can I do for you today Blake?" Tukson asks.
"I was wondering if my book came in yet, I was hoping to pick it up today. Blake replies.
"Yes, here it is." Tukson' says as he passes Blake a book titled Ninja's of Love. "I don't get why you enjoy reading dirty books like this."
"It's not dirty! It's art, a unique type of art, you wouldn't understand!" Blake defends herself, a bit embarrassed.
Tukson' chuckles a bit, after he finished chuckling, he then asks "So is that all you need for today, or is there something else?"
"Yes actually, I was wondering if you know anything about Spider-Man." Blake asks.
"I'm afraid not, if anything, no one seems to know anything about the guy." Tukson responds.
"Are you sure? Is there at least any clues to who he is or where he came from?" Blake asks again.
"Sorry, but I got nothing, no clues to who he could be either. All anyone knows is that he just appeared out of nowhere, and started helping people." Tukson answers.
"I see." Blake says, a bit disappointed.
"Why so interested in him, does it have anything to do with the White Fang?" Tukson guesses.
"Yes, I believe that Spider-Man will end up eventually fighting the White Fang. But I'm mostly curious about why he chooses to help everyone, I didn't think there was anyone like him in this world." Blake responds.
"Your not exactly wrong, if only had more people like him, then maybe life for us would turn out a lot better." Tukson states. "Anyways, like I said, I got nothing on the guy, sorry if I couldn't answer any of your questions Blake. Just be careful alright."
"I will, thank you for you-" bit before Blake could finish her sentence, the bell of the door rings as someone enters the store.
/
"Ok, so explain to us why we are not heading towards the library for books, it is free to read over there." Venom asks.
"Because I'm getting tired of walking to the library every time I want to read a book, and I would rather not check out a book and forget to return it. Knowing you, you wouldn't remind me and laugh at my forgetfulness." Peter responds.
"Heh you got us there, but are you sure you can afford it? I doubt we can spend to much cash on a lot of books." Venom points out.
"I'm aware, I will see if there are any used books to buy. I'll just but one book and maybe one comic book as well." Peter states.
"Why would you buy a comic book, aren't our lives essentially a living comic book? Especially since the people of this world point out we dress like someone out of one." Venom asks.
"Hey don't dis the threads, and to answer your question, I want to see what this world's comic books compares to our, well my world's comic books." Peter responds.
"You want to compare their made of up heroes to you, don't you?" Venom guessed correctly.
"I mean, I wanna see how realistic those comics are compared to me." Peter states.
"How is anything in your life realistic, getting bit by that spider and suddenly getting super powers should not have been possible. The Sandman being sentient pile of sand shouldn't be possible! And we, despite how much we hate to say this, look like something out of those Earth sci-fi horror films." Venom retorts.
"Ok, maybe semi-realistic, at the very least I wanna see if I can enjoy reading it." Peter admits.
"You are one sad little human." Venom says.
"I got to pass the time one way or another, I can only handle speaking to you inside my head for so long. I swear I'm going to go crazy soon." Peter states.
"You mean you aren't already crazy right now?" Venom mocks.
"Gosh I need friends."
"Well good luck with that, with how crazy you're life already is, you are going to have trouble balancing life as an "ordinary citizen" and your time as Spider-Man." Venom points out.
"I hate to say it, but you have a point. I don't want a repeat of what happened to with me and my friends back home." Peter sadly recognized.
"Speaking of home, have you thought about if we are ever getting back? Because the species that inhabit this planet are not exactly intelligent enough to figure out space travel. You Earthlings at least started to explore the cosmos, despite how new space travel is for Earth." Venom states.
"As far as I can tell, no. They use Dust, which is very confusing on why they chose to give it the same name as dust, to power everything. Which no offense to the people of Remnant, is a stupid idea. Don't get me wrong, for a long time my species used fossil fuels as fuel, but at least we've started using other methods to power our world." Peter compares.
"Only because of two reasons, the first is because there is only a finite amount. And two, because you idiots ended up causing permanent damage to your planet." Venom chastises.
"Ok I get it, but getting back on track, I don't think there is a way back, so we really are stuck here, crapbaskets." Peter states.
"Well we can officially say that you are an alien now, congratulations." Venom chuckles.
"Oh god I didn't think about that, really don't want to be reminded I don't belong here." Peter groans.
"Ah calm down cry baby, technically everyone is an alien. We are aliens because we are in a world we don't belong, and these people are aliens because we are on a different planet, and also another universe." Venom states.
"You technically have a point. But either way, we are stuck here for the rest of our lives. And I doubt I can just be a freelance photographer forever." Peter points out.
"And we assume you don't have a plan for the future yet? Don't answer we already know." Venom says.
"Yup, for now I am going to just by something to read." Peter says as he stops in front a bookstore. "Tukson's Book Trade, hmm seems promising ."
"Sounds like the owner couldn't come up with a better name. Who are we kidding, books seem boring." Venom states his opinion.
"Oh shut up, you don't even like anything except violence and chocolate." Peter retorts.
"Damn right."
Peter just rolls his eyes, getting tired of the banter he and the symbiote had being having during the walk to the bookstore. He decides to enter the store, hoping that he could afford the books he plans on buying with the budget he put himself on.
/
Both Blake and Tukson look towards the entrance of the store, they both see a teenage boy, with brown hair and eyes, with a beauty mark under his left eye. He was wearing a white sweater with a blue T-shirt over it, light brown cargo pants and brown shoes, while also carrying a light brown rectangular backpack around his waist.
As the boy enters Tukson then greets him, saying his catchphrase "Hello and welcome to Tukson's Book Trade, home to every book under the son."
The male teen chuckles at the phrase, "Nice pitch, anyways I was wondering if do you have a used book section I could look through?" the teen asked.
"Of course, it's to your left on that side of the building." Tukson' answered.
"Ok cool thanks." The teen says, as he make his way towards the used books.
Blake watches the human teen cautiously, pretending to read her book. She wonders if the human could be a potential threat for a moment, but snaps herself out of it. Reminding herself that this type of thinking is what caused so much conflict between both races. For now she will just see what books the teen chooses to buy.
She watches as the teen goes through each book, he first picks up two books, one being a book of history and another one of biology. He then chooses the biology, which intrigued Blake, wondering why he chose that book. Then to her disappointment, he goes towards a few comic books, where she then blurts out, "Really comic books, what are ten?" in a quiet voice thinking he didn't hear her.
The teen then turns around and says "I haven't even introduced myself and already a girl is insulting me, that's a new record." with a smirk.
"Wait, no I wasn't trying to insult you! I'm sorry it's just seems so childish to be reading comic books around our age." Blake replies.
"I though you said I was ten?" the teen says jokingly.
Blake just gives him a deadpanned, her bow twitching, something a certain alien noticed.
"Ok look I'm sorry, let's start over. Hello I'm Blake Belladonna." Blake greets him.
"Peter Parker, nice to meet you Blake. And to answer why I'm getting a comic book, I enjoy the story telling that can be told in a comic book. And the art, can't forget the art as well." Peter says.
"Sorry, it's just that comic books usually look very ridiculous. I never really read any myself." Blake explained.
"Well you know what they say, don't judge a book by its cover. So you don't judge me for comic books, and I don't judge you for that book you're holding, looking at the title I'm guessing it's romance novel?" Peter closely guesses.
"Yes it's just a silly romance novel, you wouldn't like it, it's something I doubt your into." Blake says, hoping Peter didn't know anything about the book.
"Yeah, romance was never my strong suit, I'm more of about quips, but I guess that's something you'll find annoying judging from your face a moment ago." Peter states.
"Maybe if I spent more time with you yes. But if I may ask, can you elaborate more on why you enjoy comic books? I wish to understand what makes them intriguing." Blake asks.
"Well like I said, it's about the story telling. As per your reaction earlier, people tend to focus on how the comic looks, which I'll admit does look a bit silly." Peter admits. "But looking past the looks, if you pay attention to the story, the characters, and their motives, you can get really engaged in the story the comic is portraying."
"Can you give me an example of a storyline a comic has?" Blake requests.
"Ok? What example do you have in mind." Peter asks.
"Hmm, how about the story telling of superheroes." Blake replies.
"Really? Seems like a basic topic to cover." Peter says with a smirk, only to get a deadpanned look from Blake, and her bow twitching. "Interesting" "Ok, ok, don't give me that look, I'm not trying to insult you." Peter pleads.
"Just get on with your explanation." Blake says, a bit annoyed.
"Well where do I start? Ah, when it comes to superhero's, most people just think about a superhero hero and his battles with bad guys. But in reality superheroes are people with powers who carry great burdens. They are always trying to save everyone and stop the wicked from hurting the innocent." Peter states.
Blake nods, understanding where Peter's explanation was going so far. "So the story telling of a superhero comic is about the reality of a person trying to bring peace to a world filled with injustice."
"That's only half of it. Another aspect that people tend overlook a lot is the struggles a hero goes through in the personal life." Peter says, with a hint of sadness in his words, which Blake picked up.
"Being a superhero can cause you to sacrifice your own happiness for the sake of others. They could choose to spend the day off, or spend the day stopping bank robberies. They could look out for themselves or look out for others. And they could look they other way, or refuse to stand by and prevent someone from getting hurt." Peter says, with a small hint of guilt.
"You seem to be very knowledgeable when it comes to superheroes." Blake states, a bit curious.
"Well what can I say, I'm sort of a huge nerd when it comes to comics and science." Peter says nervously.
"That bit seemed kind of obvious with that biology book you're holding." Blake points out.
"Yeah, biology is my strong suit. They way living things function and evolve are incredible. The structure of DNA is fascinating and there could be more to our potential as a species, both human and faunus." Peter says.
"Really? What are your opinions on both species then?" Blake asks, wanting to know Peter's opinions on the faunus.
"Well they way I see it, the only difference is biology. In reality we are all the same, we all have hopes, dreams, heart, soul, and emotion. I find it disgusting the way humans treat faunus. I just can't understand why they are hated so much, so what if they look different. We are all made up of the same flesh, blood, and soul. I just wish I could help them in some way." Peter replies.
"That's an.. interesting response, either way, not a lot of people think the way you do unfortunately." Blake sadly states.
"Unfortunately, but I think things will get better. If not now, then for future generations, people just have to be open to change." Peter says, trying to lighten the mood.
"Hm, you're a bit odd if I'm being honest, no offense. But at least your not like so many others." Blake points out.
"Hey, if everyone was normal then life would get boring. Somebody has to be the oddball here." Peter quips, smirking.
Blake just raised an eyebrow to Peter's quip, but then chuckles a bit and says "I guess you fill that role perfectly then."
"Yep, well I hope you enjoyed today's lecture class, now if you excuse I got two books to buy and places to go. Guess I see you around Bell." Peter says as he proceeds to pay for said books.
"Hmph, I guess I'll see you around Parker." Blake says with a slight smile.
Both teens then say their goodbyes as Peter heads out the door. Once Peter leaves, Tukson starts to chuckle a bit, since he heard the entire conversation.
"Why are you laughing?" Blake asks in confusion.
"Oh nothing, I saw how close you held that book, didn't want to let him know what it actually was, correct." Tukson' simply responds.
"Hey didn't seem to know what the book was so I didn't want him to judge me for what it was! And it's still art by the way!" Blake shouts in embarrassment.
Tukson just laughs a bit more, while Blake just gives him a frustrated look. After a few moments Tukson then asks "So does you asking that boy about comic book super heroes relate to Spider-Man?"
"Yes, I wanted to get an outsiders opinion on the vigilante. From what he explained, it seems I now have even more question for him." Blake responds.
"Do you plan on confronting him? Are you sure that's a good idea?" Tukson asks.
"Yes, I want to see for myself what he is capable of. No then I believe it's time for me to go, goodbye Tukson, thank you for you're time." Blake says as she leaves.
Once Blake leaves the book store, she starts thinking about how she will find the mysterious vigilante. From what she could gather, it's mostly likely that he will encounter some criminals at night and be there to stop them. While she didn't to think that he would encounter the White Fang, she knows that it would be inevitable that he fights them. After a few more moments of thinking, she decides to wait till night fall to find Spider-Man and follow him to see what the hero will do that night. Thinking back to her conversation with Peter, she wonders if Peter could be right about how heroes function.
"Are you a hero because you're a good person, or did something happen to you?" Blake asks herself, not knowing how correct she was.
/
"Thank god that's over, we thought you would spend hours talking to that female." Venom states.
"Hey she wanted to know why I liked comic books, I thought I gave a good explanation." Peter retort.
"Yeah, a too good of an explanation, you're lucky that that girl thought you were just a regular nerd." Venom points out.
"It pays to be a nerd sometimes, ignoring the cons of it." Peter remarks.
"Sure it does. Speaking of that girl, we noticed something quite interesting." Venom points out.
"What do you mean? What the heck are you talking about?" Peter asks.
"We could tell you, but we won't. All we will say is pay attention to her bow." Venom says, decided to mess with Peter a bit.
"Why am I not surprised, let me guess is this your way of getting me to use my brain more?" Peter asks.
"Yes, yes it is. Maybe you can learn to pay attention to small details, you never know when such small amounts of information could prove useful." Venom states.
"I feel like that would be an invasion to privacy." Peter replies.
"We don't care." Venom bluntly answers.
"Of course you don't, either way I doubt I'll see her again, not with my lifestyle. Anyways it's time for patrol, let's see what tonight has in store for us." Peter says as he makes his way towards the nearest alley way.
"It's chaos. How we enjoy chaos." Venom responds.
"Sigh, of course you do."
/
It was now night fall, Spider-man was swinging through the City of Vale, looking for any suspicious activity. He spent a couple hours looking for any signs of crime anywhere.
"Things seem pretty quiet, don't you think?" Spider-Man asks.
"It is, there seems to be very little activity. Did we really scare criminals off the streets already? How disappointing, we didn't even get to unleash even more power yet." Venom grunts.
"And I think it's best we don't have too, even though it's inevitable we might have to one day isn't it. Either way it's mostly like the criminals are taking more time properly planning then just going in willy nilly." Spider-Man suspects.
"You may have a point, now we suggest you keep both eyes and ears open." Venom suggests, getting the feeling something is watching them.
"I hear you, let's just proceed to the next block." Spider-man says, swinging away.
As they swing away, a certain black hair girl had just spotted him, and started following him from a distance.
"So that's Spider-Man, I pictured him a bit taller in my head. Now let's see where you're headed." Blake thinks.
A little while later, Spider-Man's spider-sense goes off alerting him to a seemingly abandoned warehouse. When he looks inside through a hole in the ceiling, he spots members of the White Fang moving crates of recently stolen dust out of a white van.
"So this is the White Fang, they seem to have matching uniforms. This sort of reminds me of Gobby's goons, except those guys just wore pumpkin heads." Spider-Man thinks.
"Do you believe the leader is here?" Venom asks.
"Doubt it, it's probably just some lackeys and maybe one tough guy, this shouldn't have been a problem." Spider-man responds.
"Do you think they have access to this Aura? Because if they do then you may want to increase the amount of strength you use on them. Maybe break a few bones, they would heal quicker so maybe we can have a bit of fun here." Venom asks, hoping for a bit of unnecessary violence.
"No we are not breaking their bones, whether they have Aura or not I'm not taking it that far. I'll just hold back a little less." Spider-man chastises the symbiote.
"One day."
"No."
The symbiote just grumbles in disappointment, Spider-Man just ignores it and crawls through the opening in the ceiling. While he crawls on the ceiling, he eavesdrops on a conversation two WF members were having.
"Is this enough dust, it feels like we have enough." A WF member asks.
"Unfortunately no, Roman Torchwick has us stealing as much as we can from this city. Doesn't seem like he has enough." The other WF member answers.
"This is starting to get frustrating, does that guy not have enough? Humans, they nothing but a greedy and selfish species." The first WF member says.
"Ok, that offended me, anyways it looks like this Roman guy is behind it all then." Spider-man assumes.
"They're not entirely wrong about humans, both Earth and Remnant." Venom points out.
"Ok, who's side are you on?" Spider-Man asks the symbiote.
"Ourselves. We just call out what our opinions are." Venom bluntly states.
"I'm going to need to drink more coffee to deal with this crap. Welp, here we go, Maximum effort." Spider-man declares.
/
Meanwhile Earth-10005
"HEY! SOMEBODY JUST STOLE MY LINE!"
/
Spider-Man then jumps down from the ceiling in the middle of the warehouse, surprising everyone there.
"Hello there, you guys left the ceiling open so I just let myself in. And I got to say this a nice place you got here, room for one more." Spider-Man quips.
Everyone just stares at the web-head in confusion for a few moments before one of the White Fang goons yell, "Get that faunus traitor!"
The White Fang goons then rush in at the same time, with the intention of taking the web-head out.
"So no greeting card, man you guys are rude. And here I thought you guys would be welcoming." Spider-Man quips.
Spider-Man begins to block and counter attack each goon's attempt to land a hit on him. Spider-Man then starts to deliver a series of kicks and punches to each one of the goons, zooming throughout the building. During his onslaught of attacks, Spider-Man begins to notice some of the White Fang goons have a small field of energy flicker around them.
"So that is what Aura looks like, seems to act as a dampener for attacks." Venom points out.
"Yup, guess these guys do of access to it, I guess this gives me an opportunity to experiment with my strength." Spider-Man states.
"Just to make sure, your still not open to the idea to break at least a few bones. If their aura also acts as a way to heal quicker then it could drain their energy faster." Venom suggests.
"No, only a few bruises is what I'm willing to inflict, that's it." Spider-man responds.
Spider-Man continues to fight each goon, delivering kicks and punches to quickly tire them out, and webbing each downed goon.
Meanwhile, Blake had entered through another opening of the warehouse, watching Spider-Man fight from a platform up above.
"Here he is, a bit reckless in my opinion, yet somewhat skilled. I wonder where he learned to fight." Blake thinks.
Blake continues to watch Spider-Man fight, observing every little detail she can spot from the web-head. Two things she noticed was his where his webbing came from, seeing Spider-Man switching web cartridges while jumping through the air, away from incoming attacks. "So his webs aren't organic, so is he actually human, or is it something he didn't inherit as a faunus trait?" Blake thinks. The second thing she noticed is how Spider-Man dodged each attack. He had an extremely quick reaction time, however the most intriguing aspect was how he dodged attacks that he didn't seem to see coming. Even if he didn't see them coming, he acted as if he knew they were heading towards him.
"Interesting, how does he know what's going to happen next. Could it be hi-" but Blake couldn't finish her inner monologue when she heard a voice to her left shouting, "Hey there's a human up here! Get her!"
Blake looked to the direction of the voice, seeing a few White Fang goons, whom had come up there to attempt to snipe Spider-man from above.
Spider-Man looks above for the sound of the yelling. As he looks up, he sees a girl in a white blouse, black vest, and black pants and boots. But what catches his attention was the familiar black hair and bow, with Amber eyes. Recognizing those features, he realizes that this was the same girl he met in the bookstore earlier.
"Is that Blake?! What the heck is she doing here?!" Spider-Man internally panics.
"That explains her questions on superheroes from earlier. She must have been hunting us down the entire time." Venom angrily states.
"Maybe she was just curious about us? Let's not jump to conclusions yet." Spider-Man states, hoping this was just some misunderstanding.
Spider-Man then swings up, knocking down the White Fang goons, and webbing them up in a cocoon hanging from the ceiling.
"Sorry miss, but things here are getting dangerous, so I think it's best you leave." Spider-Man says, trying to get her to leave.
"I can defend myself very well, I could help you know. I'm not helpless." Blake responds.
"I don't doubt that, but I'd rather not risk you're safety around these guys so let's go." Spider-Man says, trying to grab Blake to get her to safety.
"No!" Blake yells as she shoots Spider-man's hand away. "I have, …experience fighting the White Fang, I know how to fight them." Blake says, telling him a half lie.
But before Spider-Man could retorts, his spider-sense goes off alerting him to look behind both him and Blake. He sees that both of them are surrounded by White Fang goons, leaving him with no safe way to get Blake to safety.
"Fine, just try not to get yourself hurt." Spider-Man gives in.
"Hmph, I would worry more on your fighting style then my safety." Blake jabs at him with a smirk.
Spider-Man then jumps into action as Blake pulls out her weapon, which looked to be a large black sword.
"Where did she pull that out from? Never mind, probably a girl's secret, I don't know why they don't have pockets." Spider-Man thinks.
Spider-Man then proceeded to jump in the air, using his agility to dodge any shots from incoming fire. He then proceeded to web yank two White Fang goons in the air, and slam them on the ground, knocking them out cold. Meanwhile, Blake was using her weapon to parry and strike back at the White Fang goons attacking her. Taking a page from Spider-Man's book, she then transform her sword into its hook scythe form, and throws it at a White Fang goon, with a ribbon attached to it, around one of the assailants and toss them into another goon, knocking them down below, under the platform below her.
"Nice tossing skills, but if you start climbing walls I'm going to have to sue. This is sort of my shtick you know." Spider-man quips at Blake.
Blake just gets annoyed at the web-head's banter and shouts, "Can you just focus on fighting and not make any jokes right now." her bow twitching as well.
"Huh, her bow twitched, guess you were right Symbie. Wait is Blake a faunus?" Spider-Man thinks, finally noticing the odd movement of the bow.
"Oh no bows just move when people get annoyed by you, especially women. Of course she's a Faunus isn't that obvious!" Venom chastises.
"Ok geez, you don't have to insult me like that, I already have problems with girls. You don't have to point it out." Spider-man retorts.
"Maybe if you stopped making jokes then they won't, just focus on not dying." Venom responds.
"On it, I wonder what type of Faunus she is, knowing my luck mostly likely a cat." Spider-Man jokingly guesses, unaware of how correct he was.
Spider-Man and Blake proceed to fight any remaining White Fang members that haven't been knocked out. Blake would continue to wrap multiple opponents with her weapon and toss them into the air, allowing Spider-Man to yank them up further, and wail a flurry of punches before sending them back down and webbing them to the ground.
Once all enemies had been subdued, Spider-Man then tells Blake, "I got to admit, that was some pretty good moves you got there, are you training to be one of those huntsmen or something?"
"I- " Blake tried to speak but couldn't fully answer his question. But before Spider-Man quick ask her what's the matter, his spider-sense went off again alerting him towards a set of closed. Confused by Spider-Man's actions, she was about to ask what he was looking at, but before she could say anything the doors burst open revealing a large bear faunus. The faunus was wearing heavy duty armor with the White Fang symbol, and larger grimm mask. He was also carrying a large hammer which he had strapped to his back, which he then proceeded to take it out and set it on with electricity surging through the end of the hammer.
Just as the larger faunus was about to slam it on the ground, Spider-man then yells, "Wait, Wait! I got something to say first!" getting both the bear faunus and Blake's attention.
"Before we begin I just want to say, I'm fresh out of honey." Spider-Man jokes.
In response, the larger goon slams his hammer on the ground, send a wave of electricity knocking both Spider-Man and Blake back a few feet.
Spider-Man and Blake recover by rolling backwards and landing on their feet, with Blake yelling, "What is wrong with you! Can't you be serious for just 5 seconds!"
"We wish he would, we still believe he will get us killed one day."
"Oh hush you." Spider-Man bluntly says out loud to the symbiote.
"What did you say!?" Blake shouts angrily, believing Spider-Man meant her.
"I didn't mean you I- I.., there's no correct answer here, is there." Spider-Man states. But before Blake could ask what he meant, both of them look towards the larger goon, who yells at the top of his lungs. "I'm going to squash you like bugs under my boot!"
"Oh forgot about him, let's continues this argument never." Spider-man says quickly, rushing in to fight the larger goon. Blake just looks at him, frustrated thinking, "Why is he like this? Questions for later, if he doesn't just run away." Blake then proceeded to switch her weapon into a gun form, and started shooting at the large bear faunus.
"Holy crap that's a gun! Try not to friendly fire!" Spider-Man quips, much to the annoyance of Blake.
The large goon swings his hammer around, trying to hit the web-slinger. However has he was trying to attack, he was then hit with multiple dust bullets from Blake. In anger, he attempted to slam his hammer onto Blake, but instead of hitting her he hit a shadow clone instead.
"Ok, she can make clones to distract people, getting Mysterio flashbacks here." Spider-man thinks.
"Seems quite cowardly to us, a cheap fighting tactic for the weak." Venom rudely states.
"Ok I get it, you like one on one violence, you don't have to insult others for how they fight." Spider-Man chastises.
"Hmm, you barely now this girl for a day and already you're defending her. Something you want to say Parker?" Venom teases.
"Hey I'm just being everybody's friendly neighbor here, I don't have any clue what you're talking about." Spider-man replies.
The symbiote just stays silent deciding to let Spider-Man focus, but if it's suspicions are true, then they have a lot more material to mess the Spider with.
Spider-Man would attempt a frontal assault, but the heavy duty armor would prove to be a bit more durable than the others.
"Nice try bug, but this armor was made to tank more hits than the others you can't hurt me!" the large brute gloated.
The brute would then swing his hammer, but Spider-Man's speed and agility who prove to be enough to dodge any incoming attacks.
"Just use more strength it would be so much easier." Venom suggests.
"As much as how much of a point you have, I'd rather not risk causing to much damage and accidentally kill him. That and raise any suspicion, besides, I just thought of something that could work." Spider-Man states, looking over at the crates full of dust.
"Hey girl in black, can you distract big tall and hairy for me? I got an idea, thanks!" Spider-Man tells Blake, not waiting for an answering.
Blake just looks at him in frustrated confusion, but decided to comply and gets the brutes attention by shooting at him. The faunus brute would then look towards Blake's direction, annoyed by the amount of bullets being shot at him.
"That's it, I'm you down girly!" the brute yells, swinging his hammer her way. But would occasionally hit a shadow clone. "Fight me you coward!" the brute shouts in anger.
"See, even this generic brute agrees."
"Shut up and let me focus."
Blake would continuously dodge the brute's attacks, wondering what Spider-Man was planning to do next. She looks over to see him shoot webs behind him onto a few crates full of dust. "What are you planning?" she asks internally.
"Hey Paddington bear! Your aunt is fat!" Spider-man yells, much to Blake's disappointment in his antics.
"No one takes about my auntie like that! You're dead insect!" the large bear faunus shouts, rushing towards the web-head.
Spider-Man waits until the brute comes in close enough before jumping over him and landing behind him. Once Spider-Man was on the ground, he shoots one last web behind the brute, landing on the crates he webbed together before.
"Ha! You missed idiot!" the brute gloats.
"I wasn't aiming for you." Spider-Man says, pulling the web line towards.
The large White Fang brute looks behind him to see multiple crates of dust fall towards him. In a panic he swings his hammer in order to hit the crates out of the way, but instead he ends up triggering some of the ice dust in the crates, encasing him in a block of ice, completely immobilizing him.
"Guess winter season came early for this hibernating bear huh?" Spider-Man quips, with Blake just giving him a look. "What? I thought that was clever."
"It really wasn't, get better." Venom responds.
Just then, police sirens where heard from outside. Spider-Man grabbed Blake, much to her surprise, and got out of there quickly before anyone could see them. When the police enter the warehouse, all they found were members of the White Fang all webbed up and one larger member encased in ice. The only thing that was left behind was a single card with the signature "Courtesy of you're friendly neighborhood Spider-man" written on it.
A few moments later, Spider-Man would land on the roof a building, far away from the warehouse were he would let go of Blake. As he lets go of Blake she began to take a moment to breathe after experiencing the feeling of moving through the air, which to her surprise felt oddly liberating.
"Well that was fun, but I got to ask, was there a reason you where following me?" Spider-Man asks.
Snapping back into reality, Blake just asks "How did you know I was following you?" surprised that he knew she was there.
"I sensed something following me." Spider-Man responds.
"Ahem"
"I know you sensed her before me, you are more effective than my spider-sense I'll give you that."
"Oh, how did you sense me then, is it related to how you were able to dodge incoming despite not being able to see them coming." Blake asks.
"…. Ok you very observant, and yep pretty much."
"Thank you but there's something I want to ask." Blake requests.
"If it's about who I am then sorry I'm not answering that question, and I might web you up so I can have time to find a place so you won't find me." Spider-man says in a somewhat jokingly manner.
"No, not that, I just want to know why." Blake asks.
"What?"
"Why do this, why do you help others despite the risk of people not accepting you." Blake says.
"We wonder the god damn exact same thing sometimes, even if we already know the answer. So what are you going to tell her now?" Venom asks the web-head. Only for Spider-man to stay silent for a few moments. "Looks like you are finally speechless for once. We thought we would never see the day." Venom chuckles.
"Shut up, I just never thought anyone would ever bother to ask me something like that." Spider-Man defends.
Everything is silent for a few more moments, with Blake wondering "Is he alright? Did I say something wrong here?"
"I was never in it for the fame or glory." Spider-Man says, snapping her out of her thoughts.
"I learned that if you have the power to help someone, then it's your responsibility to do so. Because if you don't, bad things happen and it will all be your fault. That's why I do it." Spider-man finishes.
Blake looks at him, a bit stunned at his answer to her question. She expected something simple, like doing the right thing, or as a way to get vengeance against criminals. But what said instead left her speechless for a few moments.
"Are you alright? Was that too much or something?" Spider-Man asks getting a bit nervous at her staying silence.
"Uh? Oh no, it just that, I didn't expected an answer like that from someone who constantly makes bad jokes." Blake responds.
"Ouch, for the record I'm smarter than I look. Anyways , I'll ask a question of my own. So what type of Faunus are you?" Spider-man asks bluntly.
Blake stares at him, shocked on how he figured it out despite hiding her hears from preying eyes. She then asks, "H-how did you know." stuttering a bit.
"I noticed-"
"We noticed."
"I know that, can't let her know you exist, or anyone for that matter."
Blake stares at him, waiting for an answer. "Ahem, are you going to tell me or not." Blake says, annoyed at his odd behavior.
"Sorry brain fart, heh. But that.." Spider-man points to her bow. "…twitches every time something, mostly me, when ever you get annoyed. Just like right now."
Blake looks up to see her bow and sees that he was correct, it seemed her ears twitching moves the bow, slightly giving her away to anyone paying close attention.
"Oh. I see, I guess I'm going to have to get the hang of dealing with idiotic behavior." Blake jabs at Spider-Man.
"I was going to suggest getting a bigger bow or putting it on tighter. But that could work too. Fair warning I annoy A LOT of people, so you getting used to me is physically impossible." Spider-Man quips.
"It's true, we can confirm it."
Blake was about to scold him, but feels her hears twitching again, only proving his point. " I'll take your advice about the bow then thank you. And to answer your question I'm a cat faunus."
"…..Ok wow I jokingly guessed that internally when I first realized you were a faunus but I did not expect to be correct." Spider-man states.
"Heh heh heh."
"Why are you laughing?"
"No reason." Venom replies, just getting a rues out of future material it now has.
"Lucky guess then, so I believe you will be on your way now then, assuming I won't get anything else out of you." Blake responds.
"Yep, but first.." Spider-Man says, before webbing Blake in place, making sure she couldn't move.
"What the heck are you doing?!" She yells in frustration.
"Sorry, just making sure you don't follow me and find out who I am, you are extremely smart and observant enough figure that out of I'm not careful. Anyways good luck on becoming a huntress." Spider-Man quickly shooting a web-line preparing to leave.
"At the very least tell me how to get out of this first!"
"It dissolves in an hour gotta byeeeee!!"
Blake just stares at Spider-Man with a deadpan expression, but she then softens her expression understanding his cautiousness around her. Unfortunately however, she is too immobilized to cut off the webbing with her Gambol Shroud so she reluctantly waits for said hour to be able to move.
While Blake waits for the webbing to dissolve, she thinks about what Spider-Man said, both the reason to why he became a hero, and to him wishing her good luck on being a huntress. Could she really become one? After thinking deeply about it, she came to the conclusion that she would become. After all he did say if you had the power to do something, it was your responsibility to do so. It was decided, she would listen to those words and try to do some actual good for once. Maybe she could be hero just like him.

It was now midnight, and Peter had finally arrived at his apartment, exhausted from today's activities.
"Man, that was one interesting day, huh Symbie?" Peter asked the symbiote.
"One, stop calling us that, and two, yes it was… quite interesting." Venom replies.
"Tell me about it, I made a new friend today, and said new friend was apparently looking for Spider-Man and was a faunus herself, a black cat to boot. Which kind of brings me a sense of déjà vu." Peter sums up, throwing himself on the bed.
"That part was quite coincidental, do you believe she is this universe's equivalent of the Black cat." Venom asks.
"Nah, probably just coincidence. Plus I'd rather not think of her right now. Things got extremely complicated between the two of us."
"Is it the fact that she was a cat burglar dressed in a black cat suit, which is a very bad pun we do not intend, and is the daughter of the man who killed you're uncle." Venom summarizes.
"Yep." Peter replies, with an loud pop. "We were on extremely bad terms, especially after she blamed me for infecting her dad with my conscious." Peter replies.
"…… Do you forgive him."
"What?"
"We mean if you forgive the man, from what we could tell from your memories, he did really seem filled with regret for taking you're Uncle's life." Venom elaborate.
"I-I, I don't know, he really did seem regretful for what he had done and was willing to pay for his crimes. Maybe one day, but not right now, I'm still angry and regretful for letting him go in the first place." Peter responds.
"Hm, that's an interesting answer, can you explain how yo-"
"Can we not go into this further, I'm very tired right now." Peter interrupts, not wanting to think more about that night.
Venom just stays silent and decided to listen and rest himself, leaving Peter alone with his thoughts. As Peter falls asleep, he thinks about what he said. Could he forgive Walter Hardy for what he did, heck could he forgive himself for letting him go in the first place?
"One day, maybe I could forgive you. After all in the end it's still my fault." Peter thinks as he falls asleep.

Roman was not having a good time right now. For the past month and a half, Vale's vigilante, Spider-Man, had been stopping criminals left and right preventing him from getting the Dust his "benefactors" need him to acquire. The arachnid had been capturing not just his men, but also those animals from the White Fang from stealing as well. It seemed no criminal was safe from the web-head, neither Human nor Faunus.
At the moment, Roman was on a phone call with said benefactors, discussing the latest capture of an entire warehouse full of Dust.
"Look, this bug has not only been stopping us from getting any dust we can find, but he also found one of my warehouses! What do you want me to do?! No one can hurt him, let alone touch him!"
"Then hire more people, just deal with him, or I'll deal with you." The woman on the other side of the phone threatened.
"I know, I know, just give me some time, I'll find someone to deal with the annoying pest soon enough." Roman promises.
"You better." The woman says, hanging up the phone.
Roman just sighs in frustration, annoyed about the hot water he is in at the moment. He is going to have to get more men from J.R soon, hopefully some goons competent enough to squash the bug. If one thing is for certain, he will get rid of that annoying pest soon enough.
"Ill be rid of you soon enough Spider-Man, you will learn to fear and respect the name Roman Torchwick if it's the last thing I do."
