Chapter 7:

"This bullheads huge! Never thought I'd be in one of these things!" Peter thought.

"Seems to work for the dwellers of the planet. Seems to bulky, very easy to bring down." Venom adds.

"Really? Is thinking about how to break stuff the only thing you think about?" Peter asked.

"Yes, our species were born to fight and destroy. That's how we survive." Venom answers.

"That was a rhetorical question, but good to know that info. So you were born like this then?" Peter asked.

"….. Yes, no further questions." Venom snarled.

Peter just sighs, the symbiote was a lifeform that he just couldn't understand. Despite their past, he still always wondered where it came from. All he knows is that it was on a meteorite for who knows how long. From what he knows it was mostly like thousands upon thousands of years. Heck, there's a chance that the symbiote could been around long before humans even existed back on Earth.

Oh well, maybe one day he could learn more about it, and it's species.

Peter then looked out the windows of the aircraft, looking at the sights from above. "Gotta admit, it's nice to see things from up here, but still, nothing beats web-swinging through the City."

"Agreed, during the time you went to sleep, before fighting the Six for the first time, it felt liberating to do that ourselves." Venom adds.

"Oh yeah, I forgot you controlled my body without my permission. But to be fair, you did grant my wish of having the Six in jail when I woke up. So thanks." Peter says, he then asks, "So was it easy dealing with them on your own? I can only imagine how badly you beat them, they would have been embarrassed if they found out I was asleep."

"Honestly, we had trouble dealing with them." Venom answered getting his attention. "It was the first time we took control of a host's body. We had to learn quickly how to maneuver your body so we wouldn't get killed. Even using you're spider-sense was difficult to use, never have we encountered such an ability before."

"Wait, you mean you controlling my body was the first time you ever controlled anybody's body? I thought you would have known how to. Hold on, was that monstrous form you had on when you bonded with Eddie also the first time you used it as well?" Peter asked.

"Ok fine, it was, now can you please shut up!" Venom yells, annoyed that Peter still kept asking questions.

"Fine, I'll stop. But you got to tell me other stuff about you eventually." Peter replied.

"One day, when we feel like it." Venom tells him bluntly. Peter just accepts that he won't learn anything else about the symbiote today, and proceeded to walk around for a bit.

Meanwhile on the other side of the aircraft, Yang was hugging her younger sister Ruby for getting into Beacon early.

"Oh I can't believe my baby sister is going to Beacon with me! This is the best day ever!" Yang cheered.

"Please stop." Ruby groaned, being crushed by her older sister.

"But I'm so proud of you!" Yang says, letting go of Ruby.

"Really sis, it was nothing." Ruby tells Yang.

What do you mean? It was incredible! Everyone at Beacon is going to think you're the bee's knee's!" Yang proclaimed.

"I don't want to be the bee's knees, okay? I don't want to be any kind of knee, I just want to be a normal girl with normal knees." Ruby complained

"What's with you? Aren't you excited?" Yang asked.

Of course I'm excited." Ruby responded, " I just, I got moved ahead two years. I don't want people to think I'm special or anything."

Yang then walks to Ruby's side, putting an arm around her shoulder, "But you are special. Not only did you get into Beacon, but you also meet Spider-Man twice. Heck, you even got his autograph!"

"Yang! Not so loud!" Ruby said hoping no one heard them, Peter did with his enhanced hearing .

"Huh, it's those two again, I forgot they would also be hear. Man I still remember red hiding hood's lethal pout." Peter chuckles to himself.

"It was hilarious, you were not getting out of that. You should be glad that if everyone turns on you, she might not. She seems way to innocent for her own good." Venom added.

Before Peter could retort, a holographic screen turned on, playing the recent news-story, along with a mugshot of Roman Torchwick.

"The robbery was lead by nefarious criminal, Roman Torchwick, who continues to evade authorities, including Vale's Vigilante, Spider-Man.

"IM TRYING OKAY!/ Try better, heh."

"Speaking of Spider-Man, ever since the web-head appeared, crime has been reduced by 45%. The citizens of Vale have never felt safer thanks to Spider-man."

"Huh, feels nice to be appreciated." Peter thought.

"For now anyways." Venom states.

"Just let me have this."

"If you have any information on the whereabouts of either individuals, please contact the Vale Police Department. Back to you Lisa."

The screen then switched to Lisa Lavender with a picture of a group of Faunus protesting, "Thank you Cyril. In other news, this Saturday's Faunus civil rights protest turned dark when members of the White Fang disrupted the ceremony. The once peaceful organization has now-"

But just before anything else can be said, the news was then interrupted by a hologram of Glynda.

"Hello and welcome to Beacon."

"Who's that?"

"The wicked witch of the north!"

"Huh?" Yang said, looking around to see who said that. She then noticed Peter chuckling to himself, not noticing that she spotted him.

"Why the hell did you say that?" Venom shouts.

"I thought it be funny. It kind of was, besides her name reminds me of a character from a movie I watched as a child." Peter responds, getting a disapproving grunt from the symbiote.

"My name is Glynda Goodwitch."

"Oh."

"……./………."

"That can't be a coincidence. Wait a minute, didn't I make a joke to Ozpin by calling him "Oh Grand Wizard of Oz". What are the chances they both share a similar name to characters from a movie?" Peter asked.

"Judging from multiverse theory, both highly, and not highly possible." Venom answered. "What? We are just as intelligent as you are. We just prefer action more than learning."

"That part was obvious."

"You are among privileged few who have received the honor of being selected to attend this prestigious academy. Our world is experiencing an incredible time of peace, and as future Huntsmen and Huntresses, it is your duty to uphold. You have demonstrated the courage needed for such a task, and now it's our turn to provide you with the knowledge and the training to protect our world." The message then ended, and the bullhead began it's descant towards Beacon.

"Naïve to think that peace will last forever. There will always be something out there to cause trouble." Venom says, trying to be realistic.

"I wish I could say you were wrong, but I learned the hard way that that wasn't true." Peter admit.

"I'm surprised you agree, I expected an argument from you." Venom says.

"Like I said, I learned the hard way. The Goblin and you are the best examples. For Gobby, he tricked me into thinking it was Harry on the green. But nope, it was him and he took that time preparing to take me down, and worst part is that it almost worked. Heck, me taking down Tombstone probably ended up helping him, Captain Stacy did warn me about power vacuums." Peter states.

"And for us, you tried to destroy us and failed. And when you tricked us into thinking you want to bond again, you took advantage and separated us from Brock and buried us under multiple layers of concrete." Venom added.

"And Eddie made me paranoid enough to lead him to you. And boom, you're back and then I had to worry about the chaos you brought." Peter finished.

"And we almost won, but Thompson distracted us giving you enough time for you to grab the gene cleanser and use it to separate us. For the record it hurt, A LOT." Venom grunted.

"If you don't regret trying to hurt the people I care about, then I don't regret doing that to you." Peter responded.

"We don't know if we should feel proud or angry at you." Venom says.

Peter chuckles, which annoyed the symbiote, but it decided it would let it go since it would be a waste of time to argue any further.

Meanwhile, Ruby and Yang look towards the windows, and look at the city from above.

"Look, you can see Signal from up here." Ruby said, spotting her old school.

"I guess home isn't too far after all. Beacon's our home now." Yang said, looking as well.

"Yeah, home." Peter sadly thought, picking up what Yang said.

"You'll learn to accept it. Personally speaking, when you're goal is survival, you learn to move on quickly. We never stay in one place forever." Venom says in a surprisingly somber tone.

"Was that you being empathetic?" Peter asked.

"…….. Shut up."

At that moment, the sound of groaning could be heard from a guy with blonde hair. He then proceeded to run off, supposedly looking for a place to vomit.

"Well, I guess the view isn't for everyone." Yang said, watching as the guy left.

"It was a nice moment while it lasted. I wonder who we are going to meet." Ruby replied.

"I just hope they're better than vomit boy." Yang hoped.

"Oh! Yang! Gross! You have puke on your shoe!" Ruby shouts.

"Gross! Gross! Gross! Gross! Gross! Gross!"

"Get away from me! Get away from me! Get away from me! Get away from me!"

"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAA, *Wheeze, THAT WAS HILARIOUS!" Venom laughed at the scene.

"Oof, that's gotta be one bad first impression, I'm gonna comfort the guy." Peter said, although he himself found it a bit funny.

"Go ahead Parker, that made our day." Venom says, still laughing a bit.

Peter then walked towards the blonde teen, and patted him on the back as he vomited into a trash can. "There, there, just let it out dude."

"Ugh, thanks, first time on a bullhead." The Blonde replied.

"I see, names Peter Parker." Peter introduced himself.

"Jaune Arc, and thanks again." Jaune said, recovering.

/

"Thanks for understanding, motion sickness is much more of a common problem people don't tend to focus on." Jaune said once they exit the bullhead.

"I know, I used to get like that before. You get used to it overtime." Peter responded.

"Lies, you changed once your DNA was re-written." Venom corrected.

"Not now Symbie."

"Really? Man your lucky. Any tips on how to overcome it?" Jaune asked.

"I'd recommend easing in slowly, take your time to adjust to different elevations or speed bit by bit." Peter suggested.

"Thanks, I try doing that when I have time." Jaune said, rubbing the back of his head.

Just then, they hear an explosion in the distance ahead of them.

"Do you want to check that out? It's right ahead of us." Jaune asked.

"Sure, why not. I don't want to miss any action going on. Let's go." Peter replied.

When both Peter and Jaune arrive at the source of the explosion, they see Ruby getting scolded by a girl in white, the same girl Peter saved a while ago from a burning building.

"Huh, she's here too, who would have thought."

"What are you even doing here! Aren't you a little young to be attending Beacon?" The girl in white shouts.

"Well, I-"

"Hey come on, I'm sure whatever happened here must have been an accident." Peter said, approaching the two.

"Well this accident, could have gotten someone killed! She should watch where she's going!" The girl in white shouts.

"I remember why we hate here. She's too loud, we can fix that." Venom says, Peter ignoring it.

"From what I can see, you would have a few slight burn marks at most, you're Aura should protect you ice queen." Peter quipped.

Annoyed from the nickname she got from Peter, she then shouts, "Ice queen?! Do you even know who I am?!"

"Nope, I have no idea who you are. My guess is that you're the wicked witch of the south." Peter bluntly responds, frustrating the girl even more.

"So you're the one that made that pathetic attempt at a joke! And don't call me Ice queen!" The girl in white yells.

"Girl, I'm the king of quips, I got dozens of jokes to tell snow princess." Peter retorts.

"It's Heiress, actually." everyone turns around to see the source of the voice.

"Wait Blake's here too? Okay what the heck is going on here?! Seriously, what are the freaking chances?" Peter questions.

"Your guess is as good as ours, must be your Parker luck or something." Venom says.

At the same time, Blake looked at Peter, surprised to see him here too, but she shakes it off and continues, "Weiss Schnee, heiress to the Schnee Dust Company. One of the largest producers of energy propellant in the world."

"Finally, some recognition." Weiss said smugly.

"Oh god, there basically like the Oscorp of this world, if the owner ends up being a secret supervillain I quit."

"The same company infamous for it's controversial forces, and questionable business partners." Blake adds.

"What?! How dare- the nerve of-Ugh!"

"HA! Man you just got served vanilla ice!" Peter mocks.

"You did hear what the feline just said right? Sounds almost exactly like Oscorp." Venom points out.

"I'd like to not think about that, thank you very much." Peter says.

Ruby on the other hand, was giggling at the sight of Peter giving Weiss multiple snow and ice related nicknames. "Thank you, thank you, nothing but the best quips from me." Peter said proudly in response to her giggles.

Angered, Weiss just storms off, taking a veil of Dust that Blake was holding on her hand.

Approaching Peter, Blake then says, "Hello Peter, I didn't expect to see you here. I thought you would be attending a normal school, not Beacon."

"What can I say, I'm a guy of many talents. Same could be said about you. We may have met only once, but you seemed like you would have been the type of person to become a librarian or something." Peter quipped.

"Well, I do love books, but I was inspired to come here. What about you? Why did you chose to come here as well?" Blake asked.

"Well, I just decided to see where life would lead me, guess it lead me here." Peter answers.

Blake just gives him a deadpanned look, "Really? Never mind, should have expected that from someone like you." Blake jabbed, with a smirk on her face. "Anyways, I have somewhere to be, so I'll see you later then."

"Sure, see you around Belle." Peter said, waving a 2 finger salute as she left.

Turning his attention behind him, he see's Ruby shouting to Weiss, "I'll make it up to you, I swear!" Lowering her voice, she than says, "I guess I'm not the only one having a rough first day. So! What's –" Ruby then sees that Blake had already left, dropping towards the floor, she then says "Welcome to Beacon."

"Thanks Red, feels nice to be welcomed by a friendly face." Peter says, getting her attention.

Ruby looks up to see Peter and Jaune standing next to her. Offering his hand, Jaune introduces himself, "Hey, I'm Jaune." He says as he helps Ruby up.

"Ruby." She responds. "And what's your name?" Ruby asked looking towards Peter.

"Peter Benjamin Parker, world's best quip master, photographer, and all round science nerd, nice meet you Rubes." Peter replies.

"Ha, Nerd."

Ruby giggles at the introduction from Peter. She then looks at Jaune and asks, "Aren't you the guy who threw up on the ship?"

Peter face palms at this, "First impressions."

/

The trip of teens were walking around Beacon's large courtyard. Jaune was telling Ruby the same thing he told Peter earlier, "Like I told Peter, motion sickness is more of a common problem people don't focus on."

"I'm sorry, Vomit boy was the first thing that came to mind." Ruby apologizes.

"Oh yeah? What if I called you Crater Girl?" Jaune says.

"No offense to the both of you, but I can come up with material better than that in my sleep." Peter says to the both of them.

"Oh really? What would you call us then?" Ruby asked

Peter then clears his throat and points at Jaune, " Say hello to the Regurgitator…", he then points at Ruby and continues, " and his trusty side-kick, Erupta."

"Hey I'm not a side-kick!" Ruby pouted, trying not to giggle.

"That's pretty funny!" Jaune laughed, "Guess you are the quip master."

"Thanks, I'm glad you enjoy my awesome quips." Peter replied proudly.

"We hate this."

"Anyways, since Pete here introduced himself fully, guess I should too. Name's Jaune Arc, short, sweet, rolls of the tongue, ladies love it!" Jaune said with pride.

"Do they?" Both Peter and Ruby say at the same time.

"Doubt."

"They will!" Jaune says nervously, continuing to walk. "I hope."

"Well I hope you have better luck with girls than me Jaune." Peter told Jaune.

"Did you have it that bad?" Jaune asked.

"Yeah, let's just say I probably should have used my brain more." Peter replied, remembering his failure with Sally Avril.

"What did you even see in her?" Venom asked with actual curiosity.

"I DON'T KNOW."

Things stay awkwardly silent for a bit. Deciding to break the silence, Ruby pulls out her weapon Crescent Rose, "So I got this thing!" stabbing it into the ground.

Whoa! Is that a scythe!" yells in surprise.

"It's also a customizable, high impact velocity sniper rifle!" Ruby said gleefully.

"A what?" Jaune asked.

Peter comically slides to in front of Jaune answering, "That's a gun." pointing behind, in a slightly goofy voice.

Oh! That's cool!" Jaune replies.

So, what've you got?" Ruby asked Jaune.

Oh!, I uh- have this!" Jaune said, pulling out a sword.

"Ooohhhh!/Neat."

"And I got a shield too!" Jaune continued, pulling out his scabbard, expanding his shield.

"What do they do?" Ruby asked, touching the shield, making it retract and expand multiple times.

Jaune then retracts his shield one final time, putting it back on his belt, "It gets smaller, so when I get tired of carrying it, I can shrink it down…and put it away."

"But wouldn't it weigh the same." Ruby asked.

"Yeah, it does…" Jaune replied, sulking a bit.

"Well, I thinks its good. Sometimes simplicity can be best way to go." Peter tells Jaune.

"There's nothing simple about you for the record." Venom mocked

"Exactly."

"Thanks Pete, that means a lot." Jaune perks up.

Both Ruby and Jaune look at Peter waiting to see what he has.

"Why are you both looking at me like that? Is there a piece of lettuce stuck in my teeth?" Peter asked.

"Ew! No! It's just, we were wondering where your weapon was." Ruby responded.

"Ah, crapbaskets."

"Good luck explaining anything Parker!" Venom chuckles.

"Well, you see, I don't use weapons." Peter responds.

"What?! What do you mean you don't have one?! How do you even fight?" Ruby asked, a little upset that Peter didn't have one.

"I prefer close quarters combat, feels natural for me. Besides, I'm sort of reckless so I would mostly like cause a lot of unnecessary damage with one." Peter answered.

"So like wrestling or something? Wouldn't you be susceptible to being grabbed? Plus no offense, your clothes don't look like they protect you at all." Jaune asked.

"True, but I'm a lot more stronger and agile than you think. I can out maneuver my way around a Beowolf or two." Peter countered.

"Okay that's cool I guess. I'm just a dork when it comes to weapons. To be honest I may have gone overboard when designing mine." Ruby admits.

"Great, she really is a mini you."

"Is it because of intellect with making my web shooters? I mean it's not that impressive." Peter states.

"You made them out of scrap! And you made your own web formula. If you had access to better materials, you would mostly like make extremely effective equipment." Venom points out.

"Wait, you made that?!" Jaune asked in surprise.

"Of course!" Ruby nodded, "All students at Signal forge their own weapons."

"Judging by how surprised you are, I'm guessing you didn't build your weapons." Peter guessed.

"Yeah, they're hand me downs. They belonged to my great, great-grandfather, he used it to fight in the war." Jaune replied.

"So it's a family heirloom?" Ruby asked.

"Yeah."

"Well, I like it. Not many people appreciate the classics." Ruby told him.

"Yeah…" Jaune said, putting away his sword, "… the classics."

"I don't know why, but Jaune kind of reminds me of tales of Captain America during World War II. I remember how much me and Uncle Ben used to listen to stories all about him." Peter reminisces.

"Captain America? Was he a hero?" Venom asked.

"Yup." Peter replied. "Come to think of it, he was a super soldier, meaning he was both the world's first superhero and meta-human. If he was still around, maybe he could have been there to help protect my home as well. Actually scratch that, he'd be to old to fight anymore."

"Hey Peter, you ok?" Ruby said, noticing how quiet he was.

"Huh? Oh! Yeah, I'm fine, just spaced out for a moment." Peter answered quickly.

"Are you sure?" Ruby asked, still a bit concerned.

"Oh, pfft, totally." Peter said again. "By the way where are we?" he asked.

"Um, I don't know, I was following you guys." Jaune replied.

"I was following Peter." Ruby added.

"Why were you guys following me? I don't know where we're going." Peter stated.

"You seemed confident enough to know where you were going." Jaune answers.

"Does anybody know where we are going?!" Ruby shouts.

"Doesn't look like it. Let's head towards the main building, maybe that's where we're supposed to go." Peter suggests.

"Guess it's worth a shot." Jaune replied, following Peter. "Ruby you coming?" Jaune asked.

"Yeah, I'm coming." Ruby responded, catching up to the two boys. "He seemed kind of sad for a moment, I wonder what's wrong." Ruby thought.

/

The trio of teens arrived at an auditorium, filled with multiple new students.

"Ruby! Over here! I saved you a seat!" Yang shouts, spotting Ruby.

"Oh! Hey I gotta go! I'll see you two after the ceremony." Ruby says, running towards Yang.

"Hey wait! Aw man, where am I supposed to find another nice quirky girl to talk to." Jaune sulks.

"Cheer up dude, you'll find someone nice soon enough." Peter comforted Jaune

"I hope you're right." Jaune replied, as they decide to wait on the side of the wall.

Back with Ruby and her sister Yang, Yang then asked, "How's your first day going little sister?"

"You mean since you ditched me and I exploded." Ruby replied, giving her a deadpanned expression.

"Yikes! Meltdown already?"

"No! I literally exploded a hole into the school! And there was some fire, and I think some ice?" Ruby explained.

"Are you being sarcastic?" Yang asked, thinking Ruby was joking.

"I wish! I tripped over some crabby girl's luggage, and then she yelled at me! And then I sneezed, and I exploded, and then she yelled again. And I felt really, really bad. And I just wanted her to stop!" Ruby ranted.

"You!"

Ruby then jumps into Yang's arms in surprise, "Oh god! It's happening again!"

"You're lucky we weren't blown off the side of the cliff!" Weiss shouts.

"Oh my god you really exploded."

"It was an accident!" Ruby began, getting back on her feet, "It was an accident!" she repeated.

Weiss then hands Ruby a pamphlet, "What's this?" Ruby asked.

"The Schnee Dust Company is not responsible of any injuries or damages sustained while operating a Schnee Dust Company product." Weiss began, "Although not mandatory, the Schnee family highly encourages their costumers to read and familiarize themselves with this easy to follow guide to Dust application and practices in the field." Weiss finished in a high pitched voice.

"Ummm…."

"You really want to start making things up to me?" Weiss asked.

"Absolutely." Ruby replied.

"Read this and don't ever speak to me again." Weiss told her.

Look uh…. Sounds like you two got off on the wrong foot. Why don't you start over and try to be friends?" Yang suggests.

"Yeah! Great idea sis!" Ruby agreed, she then clears her throat and says "Hello Weiss, I'm Ruby. Want to hang out? We could go shopping for school supplies."

"Yeah! And we can paint our nails, and try on clothes, and talk about cute boys! Like tall, blonde and scraggly over there. Or the messy haired brunet with a terrible sense of humor." Weiss says, getting both Jaune and Peter's attention.

"Wow really?"

"…….No."

"Who has summoned the Almighty quip master?" Peter shouts in response to Weiss's insult.

Weiss turned around, about to chew him out until a voice was heard, getting everyone's attention.

"Ahem.." The voice belonging to Ozpin began, ".. I'll keep this brief. You have traveled here today in search of knowledge, to hone your craft and acquire new skills, and when you have finished, you plan to dedicate your life to the protection of the people. But I look amongst you, and all I see is wasted energy, in need of purpose, direction." He said, getting students to begin whispering amongst themselves. "You assume knowledge will free you of this, but your time at this school will prove that knowledge can only carry you so far. It is up to you to take the first step." He finished.

Ozpin then walks away, with Glynda standing in his place, "You will all gather in the ball-room tonight. Tomorrow, your initiation begins. Be ready, you are all dismissed."

"That old man is hiding something, we can sense it." Venom points out.

"He did seem a bit off, maybe it's just years of teaching new students. It must be tiring watching so many students grow into Huntsmen and Huntresses." Peter replies, trying to give Ozpin the benefit of the doubt.

"Hm, still, we will keep an eye on him. Just so you know, when we first sensed him back in that police station, he gave off a unique feeling. He might just be hiding something." Venom guesses.

"Well, maybe he's just holding back, he might be an extremely powerful Huntsmen if he is the headmaster. I mean I should know since I myself hold back my true strength." Peter assumed.

"Maybe, we'll take your word for it." Venom responds. But in reality, the symbiote doesn't trust Ozpin, something felt different about him. For now, the symbiote won't do anything rash and just keep an eye out for him. Besides, the old man owes it chocolate.

At the same time, both Yang and Ruby looked at Ozpin after his speech, Yang then says, "He seemed ……. kind of off."

"Yeah…. So does Peter." Ruby responded looking at Peter leave, with his face looking as if he was deep in thought.

"Is he the guy who made that joke earlier? Either way you can ask him later. C'mon Rubes, let's go get ready for bed." Yang says, as both sisters began to leave.

/

It was late in the evening, and Peter was alone in a bathroom since he was uncomfortable using the locker rooms with others. At the same time, the symbiote had it's head out, consuming a few chocolate bars it took out of Peter's backpack.

"I wish I had a white t shirt to hide the scar on my arm, I'd rather not have people look at it." Peter said.

"Why? What other people think of how you look is something that you shouldn't care about." Venom replies.

"It's about my scars, I don't want people to ask where I got them from my tank top does cover a slash mark on my back from Dr.Connors during his time as the lizard along with a few others. But it doesn't cover a few on my arms, especially this one from Electro." Peter explained, looking at an odd looking scar on the upper part his left arm.

"We apologize for that, like we told you earlier, it was our first time controlling a body. So Electro managed to land a hit on us." Venom apologizes."

"It's alright, like I said before, you did grant my wish. I'll just deal with it and get a white T-shirt later." Peter tells the symbiote, deciding to accept this rare apology.

"Whatever, just let us finish our snack and you finish changing, we really want to rest. Dealing with you all day and no action is extremely tiring." Venom tells it's host.

"Got it. By the way, why do you love chocolate so much? I know you find it delicious, but there has to be more to it." Peter asks.

"Phenethylamine, it's what fuels us and keeps us composed." Venom replied.

"What? What do you mean, keep yourself composed?" Peter asked again.

"Not only is it vital as nutrients for our species, but it helps us stay sane, or well, as sane as we can be for our species." Venom explained.

"So you're telling me, that if I had fed you chocolate sooner, then non of what happened between us would have probably never happened?!" Peter shouts.

"….Now that we think about it, probably. Oh well the past is the past." Venom shrugged off.

"Ugh, this info could have been helpful when we bonded the first time. Come on, I have to get to the ballroom." Peter said, putting on his tank top and grabbing his backpack, the symbiote retracting as he leaves the bathroom.

/

Ruby was laying on a sleeping bag, in her pajamas, writing a letter in her notebook. Yang then plops next to her on her own sleeping.

"It's like a big slumber party!" Yang declares.

"I don't think Dad would approve of all the boys though." Ruby said, still writing her letter.

"I know I do.~" Yang purred, looking at all the boys with their shirts off, only for the mood to be ruined when Jaune walked by, waving in a bunny onesie.

Disappointed, she decided to look at what Ruby was doing and asked, "What's that?"

"A letter to the gang back at Signal." Ruby began, "I promised to tell them all about Beacon and how things are going."

"Aw, that's so cute! Hey isn't that the same notebook th-" Yang was then interrupted by a pillow thrown at her face by Ruby.

"Shut up! I didn't get to take my friends with me to school, it's weird not knowing anyone here! And shh! Don't tell anyone about that!" Ruby pouted.

"Ok, ok, I'll keep my lips sealed. Anyways, what about Jaune? He's ……. Nice?" Yang said, trying to find something positive about him. "There you go! That's plus one friend! And what about that funny guy, what was his name Peter?" Yang asked, getting a nod from Ruby.

"There you go, that's two friends! 200 percent!" Yang finished, try to cheer her sister up.

"What about Weiss? I think she counts as a negative friend." Ruby said, looking sad. "Back to one friend."

"There's no such thing as negative friends." Yang countered, "You just made two friends and one enemy." Again, she gets a pillow thrown at her face. "Look, it's only been one day. Trust me, you've got friends all around you! You just haven't met them yet."

"I guess you're right. Speaking of Peter, I think something is the matter with him, he seemed lost in thought earlier, both when me and Jaune were talking, and back there after Ozpin's speech." Ruby replied.

"Maybe he's just nervous to be here, or maybe he misses his parents or something." Yang guessed.

As both sisters contemplate what the problem could be, Ruby then spots Blake reading a book, leaning on the side of the wall.

"That girl…"

"Do you know her?" Yang asked with curiosity.

"Not really, but she knew Peter. Both of them were talking to each other, it seemed like they know one another." Then an idea clicked in her head, "Oh! Maybe she knows if something is wrong with him."

"Well, now's you chance!" Yang cheered, dragging Ruby towards the hidden faunus.

"Hey, wait! What are you doing!" Ruby protests, failing to get out of her sister's grasp.

Meanwhile, Peter had entered the ballroom, and sat next to Jaune.

"Um Jaune, what is that?" Peter asked pointing at Jaune, trying to hold back his laughter.

"What? It's comfortable." Jaune defended.

"Looks like it, you don't mind if I take a spot here?" Peter asked.

"Sure no problem, but why me? There's probably other people that seem cooler to hang around." Jaune asked.

"Your basically the closest thing I have to a best friend. Plus, I think you're cool, especially if your not afraid of wearing that in public." Peter chuckles.

"Thanks Pete, that means a lot." Jaune replied.

"Don't mention it. So w-" but just as Peter was about to speak, both teens her commotion in the distance. When both Jaune and Peter look towards the source of the noise, and spot Yang dragging Ruby towards Blake.

"Hello.~" Yang greeted in a sing-song voice. "I believe you two know each other."

Blake looks at the both of them, when she looks at Ruby, she asks "Aren't you that girl that exploded."

"Uh, yeah! My name's Ruby! But you can just call me Erupta…. never mind it sounds better coming from him. You can just call me Ruby." Ruby says, deciding to leave the nicknames to Peter. Although the mention of the nickname and him did get Blake's slight attention.

"Okay." Blake replied, returning to her book.

"What are you doing?" Yang whispered.

"I don't know…. Help me!" Ruby pleaded.

"So, what's your name?" Yang asked, trying to start a simple conversation.

"Blake."

"Well Blake, I'm Yang, Ruby's older sister. I like your bow!" Yang complimented, slightly irritating Blake.

"Hope she adjusted her bow a bit so it shakes less." Peter thought.

"Thanks."

"It goes great with your…. pajamas." Yang continued.

"Right."

"Nice night, don't you think?" Yang asked, Ruby laughing nervously.

At that moment, Peter than said "Hey Jaune, I'm going to go help those two real quick, they seem to be having trouble right now." Jaune nods deciding to go to sleep, Peter walking towards the three girls.

"Yes, it's lovely. Just as lovely as this book." Blake replies, looking at the both of them, "That I will continue to read…. as soon as you both leave."

"Yeah this girl's a lost cause." Yang said.

"Nah you both just aren't asking the right questions." The three girls turn to see Peter approaching them, wearing black sweatpants and white tank top, a few scars visible on his arms. Mainly an odd looking one on his left arm.

Both Ruby and Blake slightly blush at his toned body, Yang smirking slightly with interest.

Yang then asked, "Hey there, your names Peter right?" Yang asked, Peter nodding in response, "Well then Peter, what do you suggest we do."

Peter was about to make a suggestion, but Ruby beat him to it and asks Blake, "What's it about?"

"Never mind, Ruby beat us to it." Peter told Yang.

"Huh?"

"Your book, does it have a name?" Ruby asked.

"Well, it's about a man with two souls. Each fighting for control over his body." Blake responds.

"……../…….."

"That can't be a coincidence." Peter thought, "Didn't we literally fight inside my mind over who was in control back in the church?"

"Okay, even we have to admit how uncanny that is. What the hell are the chances." Venom replied, Peter silently agreeing.

Ruby noticed Peter deep in thought again, but decided to ask about it later.

"Oh yeah, that's real lovely." Yang said, feeling a bit awkward.

"It wasn't/It wasn't."

"I love books. Yang used to read to me every night before bed. Stories of heroes and monsters, they're one of the reasons I want to be a Huntress."

"And why is that? Hoping you'll live happily after?" Blake asked.

"I'm hoping we all will." Ruby began, "As a girl, I wanted to be just like those heroes in the books. Someone who fought for what's right, and who protected people who couldn't protect themselves."

"We said it before, and we'll say it again, Mini you." Venom chuckles.

"Wow, I- I, I feel better about myself now." Peter said.

"That's, very ambitious for a child. Unfortunately the real world isn't the same as a fairy tale." Blake responds, thinking realistically. Something the symbiote agreed with.

"Well, that's why we're here. To make it better, just look at Spider-Man." Ruby states. Getting everyone's attention.

"Oh? How so?" Blake asked, curious on what Ruby meant.

"Well, he's a real life superhero! He is always there to help everyone, no matter what. He makes the world a better place to live in. To be honest, he also inspired me to become a Huntress." Ruby explained, surprising Blake.

"Help I'm about to cry."

"Oh! I'm so proud of my baby sister!" Yang proclaimed, hugging Ruby tightly, which results in a small tussle.

"Heh, aren't those two the life the party?" Peter quipped.

"Well, Yang, Ruby, it's a pleasure t-"

"What in the world is going on over here!" Weiss shouts, interrupting Blake. "Don't you realize some of us are trying to sleep."

"Oh, not you again!" Both Yang and Weiss shout.

"God damnit she's back!"

"Shh! Guys, she's right, people are trying to sleep!" Ruby says.

"Oh! Now your on my side!"

"I was always on your side!" Ruby tells her.

"Yeah! What's your problem with my sister! She's only trying to be nice!" Yang scolds Weiss.

"She's a hazard to my health!" Weiss Replied.

"Come on ice queen, I'm not sure what exactly happened between the two of you, but I'm sure Rubes here didn't mean to cause you any trouble." Peter added.

Tired of the constant nickname, Weiss then yells, "And you! Would you stop it with the jokes and take things seriously! This is a place where we are trained to deal with threats that pose a danger to other people! People can die out there and we are supposed to learn to prevent that! You have no idea what it's like to lose anyone!" Weiss says, thinking she put Peter in his place.

"Weiss." Peter said in a stern, and angry tone, surprising the three girls.

"Here's what's going to happen, either you apologize for how you treated Ruby here, or you go sit your butt back from where you came from." Peter said with Venom in his voice, "Your choice, Ice queen." He finished, trying to keep a friendly demeanor.

Weiss just stands there, a mixture of anger and fear on her face. After a few moments she just storms off, leaving quietly.

"Welp, that was a mood breaker." Peter quipped, back to his optimistic self. "Anyways I'm going to bed, see you three later." He finished heading back to his sleeping bag.

The three girls just stare at him, each one filled with concern. Deciding to follow his lead, all three of them go to sleep, Blake blowing out the candles she had next to her.

/

The next morning, Peter was in the cafeteria, eating an extremely large amount of food, which got a few stares from other students.

"Man I'm so glad to have anything other than pizza or noodles! Don't get me wrong pizza is great, but I can only eat so much before it gets tiring." Peter happily thought.

"You could at least eat properly. You may require more sustenance than others, especially now that we have bonded again, but I doubt even your Aunt May would approve on how your eating. It's disgusting." Venom scolds.

"Yeah your right, this is not how I was taught how to eat. Guess I let myself go a little since I have been on my own for a while." Peter agreed.

"Good, now hurry up and eat that chocolate pudding over there, we are hungry." Venom ordered.

Peter complies with the symbiote's demands, now that he knows chocolate helps keep the symbiote in check, Peter won't be denying it chocolate any time soon.

Once Peter was done, he then heads towards the locker rooms, where multiple students were getting there weapons and equipment. Even now, Peter couldn't help but be surprised on how everything was a gun!

After looking around, he spots Jaune talking to Weiss and a girl with red hair, dressed in Spartan attire.

"Oh god, this is gonna end bad isn't it." Peter said out loud.

Deciding to join in the conversation, and hopefully prevent Jaune from getting chewed out by Weiss, he then says, "There you are dude. Who are you talking to?"

Weiss, not happy to see both boys at the same time, then asks, "Seriously? Don't you both know who this is?"

"Not in the slightest snow angle./Nope.""

"This is Pyrrha." Weiss explained.

"Hello again." Pyrrha cheerfully replied.

"She graduated top of her class at Sanctum!" Weiss continued, getting increasingly frustrated.

"Never heard of it./ No idea what that place is."

"She's won the Mistral Region Tournament four years in a row! A new record! Weiss scoffs.

"The what?/ I won every science fair."

Now on the breaking point, Weiss shouts, "She's on the front of every Pumpkin Pete's Marshmallow Flakes box!"

"That's you!" Jaune asked in surprise.

"Are you talking about the poison disguised as cereal?" Peter asked.

"Yes, that is me." Pyrrha confirmed, "Sadly like you said, it's not very good for you."

"That's a freaking understatement. I had a single bite of that cereal, and well……

/ Flashback /

"Man I can't wait to eat this cereal, I'm getting extremely tired eating cheap food. Hope it tastes good."

"Wished you got chocolate flavor, seemed like a better choice."

"Maybe next time then. Well, time to eat."

Peter prepares a bowl of cereal and sits down on the table to eat. He then picks up a spoon and scoops up a bit of cereal in it and takes a bite.

Nom……*

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!/AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!"

"OH GOD THIS IS TERRIBLE!"

"WHAT IS THAT, WHAT THE HELL DID YOU BUY!"

"I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE GOOD, HOW DO YOU EVEN TASTE IT?! YOU DIDN'T EVEN TAKE A BITE!"

"WE ARE BONDED TO YOUR NERVOUS SYSTEM, WE FEEL EVERYTHING YOU FEEL!

"WATER! I NEED WATER"

"DROWNING DEADLY FLAVOR WITH CHOCOLATE!"

"AAAAAAAAAA!/AAAAAAAAAA!"

/ End Flashback /

"….. let's just say it didn't end well." Peter finished.

"We would rather die than taste that garbage ever again." Venom stated

Pyrrha chuckles slightly at what he was hinting at, she says, "I don't believe I got your name, as you already know, I'm Pyrrha Nikos."

"Peter Parker." Peter simply replies.

"Wait a minute, do you mean the same Peter Parker who takes Spider-Man's pictures?" Pyrrha asked.

This caught Weiss's attention, she then stares at Peter, surprised that he was the photographer for Spider-Man. She then remembered the day Spider-Man saved her life, and the lives of many others. She hoped to see him again someday.

"Yep, the one and only. Guess people are finally catching on to my side hustle. Gotta pay the bills some how." Peter responds.

"Guess that's all you ever be known as in your civilian life." Venom states.

"I'm alright with that, at least as Spidey I can help others and apparently inspire them as well." Peter responded.

"That's so cool! Why didn't you tell me that!" Jaune shouts in shock.

"I'd prefer people know me for who I am, not what I do. Besides, it's just taking photos, nothing special." Peter explained.

After a view moments, Weiss snaps out of her thoughts of Spider-Man, and continued, "Anyway, after hearing all that, do you really think you're in a position to ask her to be on your team?" Weiss asked.

"I guess not, sorry." Jaune sulks, which made Peter slightly angry at Weiss.

"Actually Jaune, I think you'd make a great leader." Pyrrha told Jaune, which made Peter smile.

"Guess popularity doesn't stop her from being a nice person." Peter thought .

"Doh! Stop it!" Jaune responds, happy with the compliment.

"Seriously, please stop it. This kind of behavior shouldn't be encouraged!" Weiss told her.

Filled with newly found confidence, "Sounds like Pyrrha's on board for team Jaune. Spots are filling up quick.", he then gets too close to Weiss and continues, "Now, I'm not supposed to do this but, maybe I could pull some strings. Find a place for you. What do you say?"

"This won't end well." Venom points out.

"I'm aware, spider-sense is starting to go off." Peter replied, staying alert.

Uncomfortable with how close Jaune is, Weiss then says, "Alright, that's a bit too close. Pyrrha, a little help please?!"

On instinct, Pyrrha throws her spear at Jaune, everyone expected Jaune to get hit and knocked away. What no one expected, was for Peter to catch the spear mid-air with two fingers. This action surprised the other three, shocked on how quickly Peter caught the spear without even looking.

Peter looks at the spear for a few seconds with slight annoyance, which was unsettling to them, especially for Weiss. Peter's expression then softens as he looks at Pyrrha, and hands her spear back.

"I'll just take that as your instincts going off, I know how that feels." Peter says, which gives Pyrrha a breath of relief. "As for you Ice queen, I understand Jaune was getting to close, but next time just push him away lightly or tell him to move, ok?" He tells Weiss, back in his stern tone.

Weiss just looks at Peter in slight fear and annoyance, not happy that he had essentially put her in her place twice in a row. In response Weiss just walks away, not wanting to deal with this anymore.

"I'm really sorry! It was nice meeting you two." Pyrrha said, deciding to be on her way.

"Likewise…" Jaune replied, sad at the his failure to impress either of them.

"Having some trouble there lady-killer?" Yang said, approaching the two boys with Ruby by her side.

"I don't understand. My dad said all women look for is confidence." Jaune replies, "Where did I go wrong?"

"Snow angel probably wasn't the best start." Yang explained.

"I can confirm, she's the type of girl that only cares about status. To be honest, you failed the moment you even started talking to her. That, and getting to close to a girl probably didn't help." Peter added

"Really now, and since when did you know how to talk to girls?" Yang teased.

"Um! It just seemed kind of obvious, I'm definitely no expert when talking to girls. I suck at that!" Peter quickly responded.

"You say that, and yet three out of four of your friends are girls." Yang states, "Something you wanna explain there Parker?" Yang continued to tease, which got Ruby to giggle a bit.

"Oh look at the time! I believe we have an initiation to attend? Come on Jaune we don't want to be late!" Peter says in embarrassment as he left quickly, dragging Jaune with him.

"Whoa! Wait! Slow down!" Jaune shouted as he was dragged away.

"You can quip it out but you can't take it~" Venom said, making fun of it's host.

"Please don't." Peter begged.

Yang and Ruby just giggled to themselves, laughing at how embarrassed Peter felt.

"Come on Yang, we should go too, we don't want to be late." Ruby told her older sister.

"Okay, let's go, we can catch up with them later." Yang replied, as they began walking towards their destination.

/

Everyone was lined up in front of a cliff, with both Ozpin and Glynda standing in front of them.

"For years, you have trained to become warriors, and today your abilities will be evaluated in the Emerald forest" Ozpin explained.

"Now, I'm sure many have heard rumors about the assignment of teams." Glynda began, "Well, allow us to put an end to your confusion. Each of you will given teammates, today." She finished.

"Uh?" Ruby expressed in confusion.

"Oh crap, this won't go well, will it?" Peter thought.

"No, it won't. Sneaking out will be a lot harder for you, especially if you have teammates wondering where you keep wondering off." Venom confirmed.

"These teammates will be with you for the rest of your time here at Beacon. So it is in your best interest if you paired with someone with whom you can work well." Ozpin added.

"Oh no." Ruby groaned.

"Oh, I'm screwed."

"If we end up in a team with that loud girl, we are going to riot….. on the inside." Venom states.

"That being said, the first person you make eye contact with after landing will be your partner for the next four years." Ozpin continued.

"WHAT!"

"See, I told you!" A ginger haired girl tells a boy with black hair and a pink streak.

"Welp, there's an odd number here, so just wait till others are paired up. Besides you have us helping you so you don't need anyone else."

"That type of thinking is what got us to separate in the first place, don't go there." Peter scolds.

"Fine, we'll phrase what we mean better next time." Venom grunts.

"However, as you all noticed, there is a odd-number of students here, so I would recommend to not be that lone student." Ozpin points out, everyone getting nervous at being that one student, except for Peter. "After you've partnered up make your way to the northern end of the forest. You will meet opposition along the way. Do not hesitate to destroy everything in your path, or you will die." Ozpin warned, Jaune gulping in response.

"Finally, we have been waiting to get a chance on destroying those things." Venom says, happy that it can actually destroy something.

"Well, those things aren't alive, like robots or zombies, so I don't think I'll have a problem killing those things. Besides I already done it once before." Peter responds.

"That's right, you destroy those things without me! But since we were recovering from the explosion and we were out of commission, we will let that slide." Venom tells Peter, with Peter just chuckling a bit.

"You will be monitored and graded for the duration of your initiation. But our instructors will not intervene." Ozpin explained, "You will find an abandoned temple with the end of the path, containing several relics. Each Pair must choose one, and return to the top of the cliff. We will regard that item, as well as your standing, and grade you appropriately. Are there any questions?"

"Yeah, um sir…"

"Good. Now, take your positions." Ozpin instructs, everyone besides Jaune and Peter getting in position.

"Uh sir, I've got, um a question." He asks, wondering how they would get down there, only for his question to be answered by Weiss getting launched into the air towards Emerald forest.

"Um, new question, is there a landing strategy for us to use to land safely?" Jaune asked nervously.

"No, you will be falling." Ozpin answers bluntly, with more students getting launched.

"I see, so did you hand out parachutes for us? Because I didn't get one." Jaune asked another question.

"No, you will be using your own landing strategy."

"Uh, huh…. Yeah."

The next one to get launched is Yang, who winks at Ruby and puts on some shades right before she does, Ruby getting launched after.

"So, um, what exactly is a landing strad-gyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!" Jaune screamed.

Peter was the last one remaining, before he gets launched, Peter than asked, "You enjoy this, don't you Oz?"

"I don't know what you mean Mr. Parker." Ozpin replied with a slight smile, taking a sip out his coffee mug.

"Heh, whatever you say Oz. And by the way, a certain someone suggested an idea on how they could get some action, while staying hidden, just a heads up." Peter tells Ozpin.

"I see, I'll be watching them." Ozpin responds, intrigued on what this idea was.

"Alright, launched me." As Peter says this, he is launched into the air, towards the forest. "Yee-haw!"

Ozpin and Glynda watch as Peter flies towards the forest, Glynda then asks, "Do you think he meant that creature? What do you think it suggested to young Parker?"

"I don't know, assuming the creature is true to it's word, then it won't do anything to raise suspicion." Ozpin responds, pulling out a scroll to monitor the other students.

/

"Woo-hoo! This is awesome!" Peter shouts, flying through the air.

"Yes, this does feel, liberating. But we should focus, we are approaching the ground pretty quickly." Venom points out.

"Thanks for the heads up, but how do we land safely? I haven't had the chance to make web-fluid. Besides, I wouldn't be able to use it even if I wanted to." Peter replied.

"Leave that to us." Venom said, sprouting four tendrils from Peter's back, and using them to latch on the branches of some trees right before they hit the ground, allowing them to stop falling. "There, safe and sound, now let's hurry up and get that relic the old man wanted."

"Cool, I'm guessing that was your idea? Using four tendrils sprouting from my back as a way to move around and attack?" Peter asked.

"Only half of it, when we give you a signal, you'll know what to do. Now let's go find one of those relics, and destroy whatever gets in our way." Venom ordered.

"Ok, alright then let's go." Peter responds, stretching a bit before he began running towards the direction of the temple. "I was forget how fast I really am. We'll be there in no time!"

Peter continues to run towards the temple. A couple moments later, he spots the temple ahead of him.

"Hey that was quick, I guess I got here fi-" but Peter didn't finish that thought as he jumps forward, landing on his hands and does a backflip, turning his body so he could land facing towards whatever attacked him.

When Peter looks, he spots a large Ursa standing there, growling at him.

"Hey there yogi the bear, I see you have been hitting the gym, and standing in the sun two long, need some sunscreen." Peter quipped.

In response, the Ursa swung it's large arms at Peter. Peter jumps to the side multiple times, dodging each attack. When this fails, the Ursa charges at Peter. Right before it hit him, Peter jumps over the grimm and lands on it's back.

"All right, giddy up cowboy!" Peter shouts, the Ursa trying it's best to shake him off.

"Man this is fun! Better than any ride at the carnival!" Peter cheers.

"Just kill it already."

"Fine, party pooper."

After a few moments, Peter jumps off the Ursa, and picks up a large tree trunk, preparing to use it as a bat.

Angered by the teens actions, the Ursa charges once more at Peter. As it got closer, Peter then swings the tree trunk at the Ursa, hitting it in the face. The Ursa screeches as it gets hit in the face, it then tried to slash the log as Peter swings it again.

"It's getting wise, need to switch things up." Peter thought.

"Here's an idea, throw the log at it. While it's distracted, use that as an opportunity to land a killing blow." Venom suggests.

"Good idea Symbie, time to poach this bear." Peter responds.

Doing what the symbiote suggested, Peter throws the log at the Ursa. Just like the symbiote predicted, the large grimm slashes the log as it zooms towards it's face. Pieces of the log end up hitting the Ursa, stunning it for a few moments. At that moment, Peter jump up high in the air, and dropped down, double kicking the Ursa with a large amount of force on the top of it's head.

After Peter lands his attack, the Ursa then screeched in pain, it then collapses to the floor, disintegrating once it dies.

"You know, that felt great, I don't have to hold back as much with these things. This could be a great way to relief some of my stress." Peter suggested.

"Definitely, it feels great to see these knock-offs die." Venom says, happy to see these things die.

"Looks like we agree on something. Here's what we can do, when I feel the need to relief some of my stress, we can come here at night and hunt as many as you want." Peter proposed.

"Deal."

"Holy crap! That was awesome!" a voice from behind shouts

Peter turns around, and spots Yang and Blake heading towards him. "Hey girls, sorry you missed the action, I sort of already took care of it."

"We can see, you know you just took down an Ursa on your own. Just how strong are you? That tree trunk was pretty large, and the Ursa's armour is pretty tough." Blake asked, curious on where that strength comes from.

"Oh, well I am pretty strong, but that log wasn't as heavy as it appeared to be. Plus I think hitting it in the head with hit weakened it enough to finish it off. That and I used momentum and physics to deal enough damage." Peter responds.

Yang chuckles and asks, "What are you? A nerd?"

"Hey, what's wrong with being a nerd? I'll have you know that not all stereotypes are correct." Peter quipped.

"I see, well I believe we should grab a relic from the temple." Blake said, walking towards the temple.

"Wait up Blake! Come on Peter!" Yang shouts, running ahead of Blake.

"You both go ahead and grab one, I'll just wait for the others to arrive so they can grab one themselves." Peter replies, following them.

Arriving at the temple, Blake looks at the relics, to find that they were actually Chess pieces.

"Chess pieces?" Blake asked, looking at a black king chess piece.

"Some of them are missing." Yang pointed out, noticing a few empty pedal stools. "Looks like we weren't the first ones here."

"I thought I was here first, either I wasn't here first or some people took advantage of me fighting that Ursa and sneaked past grabbing a few. If the second option is true then screw those guys." Peter said, watching as the two girls look around.

"Probably." Yang responds.

"Well, guess we should pick one then." Blake says as he finished looking around.

"How about a cute little pony!" Yang says cheerfully, grabbing a gold knight chess piece.

"Sure." Blake replied, smirking at Yang.

"Hey look, it matches your hair Yang." Peter points out.

"Well, yeah, why did you think I chose it?" Yang smirked "You like my hair or something, because just so you know if you mess with it I will beat the crap out of you." Yang playfully threatened.

"Noted." Peter nervously replies.

"You could literally kill these people with one single punch. Why do you feel the need to be scared?" Venom asked.

"One, I'm not doing that ever. Two, I don't know what she's capable of and what semblance she has. And three, girls." Peter answered.

"What? What do you mean girls?" The symbiote asks.

Peter internally sighs, "It's complicated, I don't think you would understand."

"You are right, we don't. We will never understand your species." Venom simply replied.

Breaking Peter out of his thoughts, Blake asks, "Aren't you going to grab one Peter? There aren't many left."

"I want to wait for the others to get here first. Jaune and Ruby aren't here yet." Peter answered.

Meanwhile, Ozpin and Glynda had taken a moment to look at the other students.

"Our last pair has been formed sir. Nora Valkyrie and Lie Ren." Glynda informs Ozpin, looking at footage of the two. "Poor boy, I can't possibly imagine those two getting along. Still, he's probably better off than Miss Nikos."

"Hmm."

"I don't care what his transcripts say, that Jaune fellow is not ready for this level of combat. I guess we will find out soon enough." Glynda finished.

"We shall see, besides Mr. Parker seems to have taken an interest in Jaune. Maybe he sees something in him that we don't." Ozpin replies with a slight smile.

"Hmm, speaking of Peter, he is the only one without a "partner"." Glynda told Ozpin, emphasis on the partner part since they both know that's not entirely true. "Are you sure it was a good idea to recruit him here? I'm not sure what we are going to do with him." Glynda asks

"One reason I believe it would be beneficial to have him here is so Peter can build connections. I highly doubt he has associated himself with anyone here during the last few months. If he would spend more time isolating himself with the creature, it could break him." Ozpin responds. "Another reason is that I want to keep an eye out for that creature. I'm not sure what it is, but it seems quite dangerous to let it roam free. So far, our only saving grace is that it seems to listen to Peter." Ozpin finished.

"And what do you suggest we do in the meantime we? I doubt we can't expect to wait for that thing to attack us at any moment." Glynda asks.

"Only time will tell on what it does. Hopefully Peter attending here would also influence that thing to be more….docile." Ozpin explained.

"I see, I'll be back in a few minutes, there something I need to do." Glynda responds, heading towards the academy.

But before she continues to leave, Glynda then asks, "Before I leave, I was wondering, what did you use as relics this year?"

Ozpin doesn't respond, staring at his scroll.

"Professor Ozpin?"

"Hmm" was Ozpin's only response, looking at footage Ruby.

/

"So, Blake, Pete." Yang said, getting their attention. "Ruby told me that you both talked yesterday like you knew each other. What's the story behind that, you both a couple?" Yang teased.

Both Peter and Blake's faces turn red in embarrassment, "No! We're not a couple.! Blake quickly responded.

"Yeah! We just meet once in a bookstore! We just talked a bit since we were both surprised to see each other yesterday!" Peter confirmed.

"I see." Yang responds, making the both of them sigh in relief. "So it was a blind date then." Yang teased, a smirk on her face.

"Yang!" both teens yelled.

"Ha!" Venom laughed, finding this situation hilarious.

"Oh shut up you!"

"NEVER!"

"I'm just teasing you two, no need to take it so seriously." Yang laughed.

Blake was about to say something else, but was interrupted at the sound of Ruby screaming as she fell down to the ground, only to be hit by Jaune who was also flying threw the air, sending them both into a tree.

"Ugh, what was that?" Ruby asked in a daze.

"Hey Ruby." Jaune greeted.

"Oh hi Jaune." Peter greeted himself, looking at Jaune hanging from a branch.

"Hey Pete, that hurt." Jaune simply replied.

"Did your sister just fall from the sky." Blake asked Yang.

"I.."

At that moment, an Ursa appears, collapsing on the ground, with Nora jumping off of it. "Aw, it's broken." Nora says in disappointment.

"Nora, please, don't ever do that again." Ren pleads, only to see that she had went to the temple, grabbing a golden queen chess piece.

"Ohh! I'm queen of the castle! I'm queen of the castle!" Nora sang.

"Nora!"

"Coming Ren!"

"Did that girl just ride on an Ursa?" Blake asked.

"Neat, I did the same by playing cowboy with one a few moments ago." Peter said, causing Nora to smile.

"See! He gets it!" Nora shouts, Ren face palming in response.

Then, Pyrrha comes in, being chased by a large scorpion like grimm. "Jaune!" she shouts.

"Really?! A scorpion! Why a scorpion!!" Peter complained. He never really liked scorpions, which was ironic for obvious reasons.

"Pyrrha!" Jaune shouts, Ruby then jumps down, leaving Jaune hanging. "Ruby!" he shouts, watch as she leaves him there.

"Ruby?"

"Yang!"

"Nora!" the ginger haired girl cheered, preventing the sisters from hugging.

"Did she just run all the way here with a Death Stalker on her tail?" Blake asked.

In frustration from all the chaos, Yang shouts, "I can't take it anymore! Could everyone just chill out for two seconds before something crazy happens again!" flames erupting from her body, her eyes turning red.

"Never mind, we fear her now."

"Cause of those flames?"

"Cause of those flames."

Exactly two seconds pass, with everyone just standing there.

Once those two seconds are over, Ruby then says, "Um, Yang?" pointing up, which gets Yang to sulk in response.

"How could you leave me!" Weiss shouts from above, hanging on the claws of a giant bird.

"Ok, now we got a giant bird, what's next a giant spider!" Peter complained.

"You really asking that?" Venom chastises, Peter groaning in response.

"I said jump." Ruby simply responds.

"She's gonna fall." Blake points out.

"She'll be fine."

"She's falling." Ren confirmed.

Jaune, after he freed himself from the tree branch, prepares himself to catch the falling Heiress. He then jumps just in time to catch Weiss mid-air.

"Just dropping in?" Jaune says with a confident smile. But Weiss just looks down, Jaune doing the same, seeing as there both now falling.

"Oh god. No!" Jaune screams, hitting the ground face first, with Weiss landing on his back.

"My hero." Weiss says sarcastically.

"My back."

"Ooo! I know how that feels like." Peter sympathetically relates.

"We know, those memories of you failing with your web-fluid were hilarious!" Venom chuckles, Peter just sighs, wishing that he could block the symbiote from viewing his memories.

Pyrrha lands in front of the group, tired from running. In response, Yang just says "Great, the gangs all here! Now we can die together!"

"Not if I can help it!" Ruby says, running towards the Death Stalker.

"Ruby wait!/Wait stop!" Yang and Peter yell at the same time.

Ruby uses her weapon to propel herself towards the scorpion like grimm, slashing it with the scythe part of Crescent Rose, only for it to deflect her attack.

"D-don't worry! Totally fine!" Ruby shouts towards the group.

She then turns around to see the Death Stalker begin to chase her, and begins to run away herself.

"Ruby! Yang shouts, running towards her sister.

Just then, the Nevermore from before returns, and shoots out feathers from it's wings. The feathers than land, one managing to pin Ruby's cape to the ground, stopping her in her tracks, and preventing Yang from reaching her.

"Ruby! Get out of there!" Yang shouts.

"I'm trying!" Ruby responds, failing to free herself.

"Parker! If you don't want anyone here to die, we suggest you do something!" Venom shouts.

"No need to tell me twice!" Peter responds, running towards Ruby at top speed as he sees the Death Stalker get closer.

The Death Stalker prepares to strike Ruby, much to Yang's horror. But much to everyone's surprise, including Weiss who was about to make a move, Peter had stop the Death Stalker from striking Ruby. Peter had four tendrils coming out his back, two of which was holding the stinger in place, and the other two holding it's pincers back.

Everyone just stares in shock at what Peter was doing, unable to comprehend what just happened.

"Is, is that his semblance?" Yang asked, "I never seen one like that before."

"It must be." Blake responds, thinking that this could just be a very unique semblance.

Ruby states in awe at Peter, surprised to see him hold the Death Stalker back.

"Hey Rubes." Peter says, getting Ruby to snap out of her awestruck state, "You alright?"

"I'm alright thank you. But what about you?!" Ruby asked slightly worried.

Peter just gets a confused look on his face, only to feel a pain coming from his right arm. He looks to see that in the scuffle he had in order to hold back the Death Stalker, it managed to make a slight gash on his arm, blood sleeping out from it.

"Oh. Don't worry I'll be fine, it'll heal." Peter responds in a soothing tone, trying to calm Ruby down.

Ruby can only stare at him, still worried. She felt extremely guilty for getting Peter hurt.

Before she could say anything else, Weiss comes by and started to rant, " You are reckless, no well regard for your own health, immature and idiotic."

"I hope your not talking about Ruby here." Peter says still holding on to the creature.

"I wasn't, I was talking about you." Weiss smirked, getting a slight jab at Peter. She then turns around to face Ruby and says, " I suppose, I can be a bit….. difficult. But, if we are going to do this, we're going to have to do this together. So if you quit trying to show off, I'll be…nicer."

"I'm not trying to show off." Ruby began, "I want you to know you can do this."

"Your fine." Weiss replied, as she walks to free Ruby from the Nevermore feather.

"Normal knees." Ruby whispers to herself.

"You shouldn't have to prove anything Ruby." Peter said getting her attention, reminding her that Peter was still holding the Death Stalker back. "I believe you are capable of many great things, my Uncle once told me with great power comes great responsibility. And the way I see it, your doing great by those standards."

Hearing Peter's words surprised Ruby She doesn't know why, but something about Peter inspired her to follow those exact words herself.

Noticing the look in her eyes, Peter just gives a slight smile, getting a smile out Ruby in response.

Once freed from the Nevermore's feather, Ruby backs away, allowing Weiss to freeze the grimm in ice, giving Peter the chance to let go of it, with the tendrils on his back retracting back inside.

"Thanks ice queen, I was getting tired there, didn't know how long I could hold it." Peter quipped.

Weiss just gives him a deadpanned looked, "Oh just shut up dolt." She responded, although she gives him a slight smile, happy with his genuine thanks.

Yang then runs up to Ruby, giving her a huge hug, "Oh! I'm so happy your okay!" Yang then looks towards Peter and says, "Thank you."

Peter gives Yang a smile and a two finger salute in response. Glad to see the two sisters A-Okay.

Just then, a loud shriek was heard from above, getting everyone's attention. Everyone looks up to see the Nevermore circling up above.

"Guys, that things circling back! What are we going to do?" Jaune shouts nervously.

"Look, there's no sense in dilly-dallying. Our objective is right in front of us." Weiss tells everyone.

"She's right. Our mission is to grab an artifact and make it back to the cliffs." Ruby began, getting a nod from Weiss. "These no point in fighting these things."

"DAMNIT!"

"Run and live! That is an idea I can get behind." Jaune comments.

"We hate you all."

"Love you too."

Ruby and Jaune then grab the last two remaining artifacts. Leaving Peter without one, something Ruby notices.

Before she could say anything, everyone hears the Death Stalker screech. They turn to see the ice trapping it in place start to crack, slowly freeing the grimm.

"Time we left." Ren says full of haste.

"R-Right. Let's go!" Ruby commands, everyone following her lead.

Yang stares ahead looking at Ruby. Blake and Peter stop to notice this, with Blake asking "What is it?"

Yang continued to look at Ruby, Peter looking as well, to see her usher everyone to follow.

"Nothing." Yang simply responds.

"Your proud of her, aren't you?" Peter asks Yang with a smile on his face

Yang looks at Peter, just smiling back in response, before running after everyone else leaving Blake and Peter behind.

"Come on Blake, we don't want to fall behind. Last one there owes everyone a pizza!" Peter jokingly shouts, running after everyone else.

Blake just smiles to herself, thinking "You are one odd individual, aren't you Peter?" , following behind.

After a few moments, everyone arrives at an area full of pillars. Everyone takes cover as the Nevermore perches on top one large pillar in the center, screeching loudly.

"Well that's great." Yang said sarcastically.

To make things worse, the Death Stalker from before comes in ramming trees out of it's way, rushing towards them, looking at Peter specifically.

"Aw man, run!" Jaune tells everyone.

"Look at that, it's after us. How unfortunate, for it." Venom says, happy to see that it will got some action.

"Dang Parker luck." Peter thinks. Knowing it will focus on him, he tells everyone, "You guys focus on that giant bird! I'll deal with scorpion over here!" he shouts, ready to face the Death Stalker.

"Peter wait! Your already hurt from before! Please don't hurt yourself even mo-" but before Ruby could finish, Peter reels his right arm back, and then rapidly moves it forward. The resulted action caused his arm to extend a larger tendril covering his arm, forming a larger black arm. The tendril arm then shoots forward and hits the Death Stalker in the face, cracking the bony armor protecting it, temporarily stunning the creature.

As the tendril a retracts, everyone looks at Peter, surprised on how he was able to do that as well.

"Ok, we've got to find out what type of semblance that is, because that's so freaking cool!" Yang tells her partner, Blake nodding in response, mostly filled with curiosity.

Once everyone stopped staring, they focus on the Nevermore, which had started to fly once again.

"Nora! Distract it!" Ren ordered.

Nora then runs in the open, getting the flying grimm's attention. The Nevermore then shoots more feathers in an attempt to hit Nora, who just rolls out of the way. She then pulls out a grenade launcher and began firing at the Nevermore, successfully landing a hit on its face, causing the grimm to fly away in order to avoid her attacks.

The Death Stalker, recognizing Peter as too big of a threat to take on, attempts to rush at Nora. But the large scorpion gets attacked by both Blake and Ren, stopping it in it's track. Weiss then lands next to Nora and summons a glyph to get both herself and Nora away.

The Death Stalker then chases Blake and Ren, but is grabbed by Peter, who had grabbed its tail holding it back. "Hey ugly! Where you going? We're not done yet!" Peter quipped, throwing the Death Stalker over his head and a few feet behind him.

As everyone except Peter crossed the bridge ahead of them, the giant Nevermore crashes into the bridge, separating into two groups.

Blake, Ren, and Pyrrha, whom had been left on the same side as Peter, began opening fire on the Death Stalker in an attempt to cover Peter as he holds it back, landing multiple devastating blows on its bony armour.

Jaune watches as the four fight the scorpion grimm, he then shouts "m

"Aw man! We gotta get over there, they need help!"

"Lets do this!" Nora shouts, getting her grenade launcher ready into position.

"Yeah, but uh, I can't make that jump." Jaune tells Nora, looking down at the abyss below.

Nora giggles, as she shifts her grenade launcher into hammer, knocking over Jaune on the process. She then runs ahead a bit before turning around and prepares to hit the bridge.

""Uh wait!" But Nora doesn't listen and hits the bridge, causing Jaune to go flying towards the other side. "No! No! No! NO!" Jaune screams, with Nora presses a trigger on her hammer, send herself flying herself.

"Nora, smash!" Nora yelled, hitting the scorpion on the head, electricity coursing through its body from her hammer.

In response to the pain, the Death Stalker knocks Nora way with its tail, sending Nora crashing into Blake. This causes Blake to be knocked down, falling into the abyss.

"Oh crapbaskets! Blake!" Peter shouts, running towards the edge of the cliff jumping down towards Blake.

Peter soars down, intent on catching Blake. When he gets close enough, he grabs her by the waist and shoots out a tendril arm into the wall, stopping their decent.

Blake stares at Peter in shock, she planned on using her Gambol Shroud to stop her fall and swing back up, but she didn't expect him to immediately jump after her and save her.

"You alright there Blake?" Peter asked the hidden feline.

"Y-yes, I'm fine thank you." Blake responds, "Your semblance is quite unique. I don't think I've ever seen one like that before." Blake said, looking at the extended arm.

"Thanks, to be honest I recently unlocked my semblance, still learning what I can do." Peter replied, nervous that Blake would get suspicious.

"I see.." Blake says, deciding she would ask more questions later. She then tells him, "We should probably get up there, the others may need our help."

"Yeah, your right. Alright, up and at-em." Peter says, sprouting the four tendrils on his back, using them to climb back up.

"You owe us for taking credit you know." Venom states.

"I know, more chocolate. It's getting really repetitive hearing that you know." Peter points out.

"Good, we want you know what we want, and when we want it." Venom responds.

Once Peter and Blake arrive back up from below, they see Jaune, Pyrrha, Nora and Ren struggle to take out the Death Stalker. Pyrrha manages to hit it in the eye with her spear, which gets stuck inside in the process. This to screech in pain, tossing Ren to the side, hitting a pillar.

"Ren!" Nora shouts, worried for her long time friend.

"Okay, I think it's time we finished off this overgrown arachnid." Peter quips, running towards the scorpion grimm. The Death Stalker watches as Peter runs towards it, it then attempts to swing it's stinger in order to stop him getting close. But unfortunately for the large scorpion, Peter moves to the side dodging it. It then tried to grab Peter with its pincers, only for the back tendrils to grab each one, stopping it from doing anything else. Taking advantage of this, Peter then kicks the already lodged spear further into its head, killing it.

As it disintegrates, he takes the spear and hands it back to Pyrrha, "Here you go Pyrrha, hope it's not to damaged."

"Thank you Peter, that was quite an impressive feet." Pyrrha began, "And I would like to apologize from earlier, like you said it really was instinct, I didn't mean to hurt Jaune." Pyrrha replied.

"It's fine, I understand. You should talk to Jaune about though, it would mean a lot to him." Peter told her, Pyrrha nodding in response.

Just then, everyone hears shouting, which came from Yang launching herself at the Nevermore.

Yang then lodges herself in it's mouth, shooting inside of it, yelling "I! Hope! Your! Hun-gry!" Once she finished, she then jumps back down, landing on her feet as the Nevermore crashes into the wall of the cliff.

"Ok, she almost earned our respect, if she didn't have your sense of humor she would have it." Venom comments.

Weiss then zooms past Yang, and traps the tail of the large aerial Grimm in ice, keeping it in place.

At the same time, Blake jumps across using the ribbons on her weapon. Peter then joins her by using the back tendrils to jump across with enough force to reach the other side.

As Blake lands, she immediately her weapon towards Yang, with a ribbon attached to it, and sets up a line for Ruby to use as a slingshot. Weiss then uses a glyph to help Ruby by holding her in place.

"Of course you would come up with this idea." Weiss commented

"Can you make the shot?" Ruby asked.

'Hmph, can I?" Weiss asks rhetorically.

"Can you?" Both Ruby and Peter asked, with Peter asking in a more joking manner while Ruby was genuinely curious.

"Of course I can!" Weiss shouts.

Ruby then cocks her sniper rifle, as Weiss sends her flying through the air.

Using her weapon to propel herself even further, she successfully pins the Nevermore to the side of the cliff with her scythe. Weiss then sets up multiple glyphs, allowing Ruby to run up the wall, dragging the winged Grimm behind her.

"Whoa, if I didn't find this freaking cool, I'd probably sue." Peter jokes.

"Impressive, we may have underestimated these children." Venom comments.

"Just like you did with me?"

"No, you were gifted your powers through an accident. These children trained for both their skills and abilities." Venom jabbed, chuckling to it's self.

Peter just sighs in response, technically the symbiote wasn't wrong.

Back with Ruby, she reaches the top of the cliff, and with one swift move, decapitates the Nevermore, rose petals coming off of her.

"Wow." Jaune says, looking up to see Ruby look down towards them.

"Well, that was a thing." Yang states.

"Yeah, pretty good warm up if you ask me." Peter says nonchalantly.

"You call that a warm up?! Then what the heck do you count as a real battle then, huh?!" Weiss shouts in frustration at Peter's quip.

"Heh, if only you lived my life." Peter ominously responds. "Come on let's go, I assume Oz is waiting for us." Peter says, walking towards the cliff

Everyone just looks at Peter in confusion for a few moments before walking themselves.

"I feel sorry for whoever's team he ends up with." Weiss says, rubbing the bridge of her nose.

"Famous last words Weiss." Yang says, which just gets her a deadpanned look from Weiss.

"Russell Thrush, Cardin Winchester, Dove Bronzewing and Sky Lark." Ozpin began, "The four of you retrieved the black bishop pieces. From this day forward, you will work together as, Team CRDL. Lead by…. Cardin Winchester." Ozpin finished, the crowd cheering.

As Team CRDL leave the stage, Ozpin then calls out, " Jaune Arc, Lie Ren, Pyrrha Nikos, Nora Valkyrie." With the four of them walking up stage. "The four of you retrieved the White rook pieces. From this day forward you will work together as Team JNPR." Ozpin said, Nora giving Ren a hug from hearing this. "Lead by….Jaune Arc!"

"Huh? Lead by?" Jaune asked in surprise.

"Congratulations young man." Ozpin simply told him.

Pyrrha punches him in the shoulder as congratulations, only to knock him down in the process.

"Wait?! Jaune is leading his team?!" Weiss asked, surprised that Ozpin would choose him for such a role.

"Come on Weiss, you should really stop underestimating people, besides I had a feeling Jaune would be chosen." Peter told the heiress.

"Well I just don't understand why you believe that? What makes you think he would be good for the role?" Weiss asked Peter.

"Heh, if I told you, you wouldn't learn anything." Peter quipped.

Weiss just scoffs at Peter's banter, deciding that she wouldn't waste her time arguing with him.

The other three just laugh at this interaction between the two of them. With Ruby saying, "Well, Ozpin must have a reason for choosing him, and I think Peter already knows why. So maybe we should wait and see why he was chosen."

"There you go Rubes, see Weiss, if she can get it so can you." Peter joked.

"Oh shut up you dolt!"

Ozpin then calls out, "Blake Belladonna, Ruby Rose, Weiss Schnee, and Yang Xiao Long." Signaling them to walk up staged.

"Good luck you four, break a leg out there." Peter cheered them on.

Ruby just looks back at Peter, knowing full well he was the odd one out. She felt guilty that he may not make it in, especially since he got hurt protecting her.

"The four of you retrieved the white knight pieces, from this day forward you will work together as…Team RWBY. Lead by….Ruby Rose." Ozpin says, shocking Weiss.

Ruby just has a look of surprise on her face she could also hear Peter congratulating her from a distance.

"I'm so proud of you!" Yang says as she hugs her little sister.

Ozpin then looks at Peter, and calls out "Peter Parker, please come up on stage." Signaling him to come forward.

"This is it, I guess Ozpin won't be able to help us after all, oh well guess we can go back to photography. It's been working so far." Peter thinks.

"Damn it. We shouldn't have come here, it was a waste of time. But at least we were able to have some sort of fun. But you better keep your promise of going to the forest to kill more of those knock-offs." Venom demanded.

"I will."

Once Peter gets upstage, Ozpin then asks, "I see you don't have a relic with you. Can you explain why that is the case?"

"I realized that with an odd number of students, there wasn't going to be enough relics for everyone. And since I'm the odd one out, it made sense to I let the others grab one themselves. I guess I won't be attending here then. I'm just glad my friends here got in at least." Peter replied.

Both teams look at Peter, surprised to see that he came to that realization before any of them. Worried, Ruby then asked, "What's going to happen to him?"

"I don't Ruby." Yang responds, with Blake looking sadly at Peter.

"You really are something else." Blake thought.

"I see…..normally I would send off students who didn't make it back with a relic and a partner." Ozpin says, worrying both teams, including Weiss.

"However, it would be a shame to send away such a promising student." Ozpin began, catching everyone's attention. "So instead I will place you on an already existing team as an honorary fifth member and Co-leader. The team that I will place you with will be….. Team RWBY!" Ozpin proclaimed, shocking everyone.

"What?/What?"

"Wait what?!" Weiss yells in shock.

"Heh, famous last words Weiss." Yang reminded Weiss, giving her a huge grin.

"Damn it! I shouldn't have said anything!" Weiss shouts, thinking this was karma at play.

"Oh my god you did it Peter! Welcome to our team!" Ruby happily shouts, glad to see he wouldn't be kick out.

"I am so confused." Peter simply responds.

"Heh, should have known the old man would bend the rules." Venom says.

"Good job Peter." Blake congratulated, "Looks like your with us now."

"Thanks I guess, but it looks like ice queen here isn't happy about this at all judging from the look on her face." Peter points to Weiss, who just turns her head away from Peter.

"Don't worry, she'll warm up eventually, maybe you can melt her frozen heart." Yang teased the hidden vigilante.

"Shut up Yang!" Weiss yells at her with a slight blush on her face. She didn't want to even think of that possibility.

"Yeah, no. I think she ain't open to that idea at all. Besides I don't think I'm ready to be in a relationship again." Peter responds nervously.

Everyone except Weiss laugh before deciding to walk off stage, heading towards their dorms, Ozpin looks at Peter and Team RWBY and says, "Looks like things are shaping up to be an.. interesting year."

/

It was now late at night, Peter and Team RWBY had arrived at their dorms, ready to clock in for the night.

When they enter, they notice that there was only four beds, meaning one of them was going to have to sleep on the floor.

"So.. who's gonna- " but before Yang could finish her sentence, Peter immediately tossed his backpack at the corner of the room and drops down resting his head on it.

Before Ruby could say anything, Peter just says, "There is no changing my mind, so you guys can have the beds. I'll be fine."

"But Peter, I'm sure we can come up with some-" but she was interrupted by Peter snoring, falling asleep very quickly.

"That was fast." Blake commented. "So I believe we should go to sleep as well?"

"Wait!" Ruby shouts, pulling the blanket off of her bed, and sets it gently over Peter, allowing him to be more comfortable in his sleep.

"Aw! That's so sweet of you Ruby, but what about you?" Yang asked, touched by her little sister's kindness.

"I'll be fine for the night, I just want to make sure Peter isn't uncomfortable in is sleep. We can find a solution tomorrow morning." Ruby replied.

"I'm sure he'll appreciate it." Yang tells her, "Alright girls, guess we should follow Peter's footsteps and go to sleep ourselves." Yang says as she gets into her bed, falling asleep immediately as well.

"Yes, it is getting late. Goodnight everyone." Blake says, getting in bed herself.

"Goodnight Yang, goodnight Blake, goodnight Weiss." Ruby tells everyone as she climbs into her bed.

"Just be quiet already, I'm trying to sleep!" Weiss says, wanting to get some shut eye.

"Sorry." Ruby whispers, not wanting to disturb Weiss. Before she falls asleep, she turns to look at Peter, who was out like a light, tired from today's initiation.

With a small smile on her face, she then whispered, "Goodnight Peter, and thank you."
