Chapter 18:
It was an interesting day for the students of Beacon. Pyrrha was fighting against the entirety of team CRDN, and she was unexpectedly winning.
While everyone was in awe of seeing Pyrrha handle the quad of boys with ease, Peter was just frantically looking around. No one even noticed the paranoid hero looking everywhere.
All except for Blake and Yang.
Blake was tired herself, she had spent time herself up trying to figure out what Roman was planning. Spending little time resting or keeping her grades. While she would usually ask what is wrong, she assumed Peter was spending as much time investigating where Roman was like she was doing.
She was only partially right.
Yang was still pumped up by watching Pyrrha kick ass, but she herself would occasionally look at Peter. She had a hunch that something must have happened to make the hidden Vigilante seem more, jumpy.
Peter has spent less time studying or attending classes, spending a lot of time either out as Spider-Man or in the lab room, doing who knows what.
What both of them didn't know was that Peter was frantically looking around, scared and paranoid from the crimson symbiote. The past couple of weeks he had been having nightmares of the red alien. These nightmares were so bad that Peter now believed that the red alien would attack the school at any moment.
The Venom symbiote had tried to get it's host to take time to rest and calm down. But unfortunately it couldn't, Peter was just to scared, especially since that the crimson symbiote was most likely stronger than both of them combined. And with the General being more observant of the poor boy and the other two adults unable to convince him to stop watching him like a hawk, something Glynda really didn't like, was not helpful at all.
The Venom symbiote believed that it would be inevitable that they have to fight the guy one day.
Breaking the three teens, and the symbiote, out of their own thoughts was Glynda calling the match. "And that's the match." She spoke out as she walked onto the center of the room.
"Lucky shot" is all Cardin could say before collapsing onto the ground.
"Well done Miss Nikos, you should have no problem qualifying for the tournament." Glynda praised the young Huntress.
"Thank you Professor." Pyrrha thanked the experienced Huntress.
"Now, I know that's a tough act to follow, but we have time for one more sparring match. Any volunteers?" Glynda asked the students. She then looked towards Blake and Peter, noticing the teens' quiet and paranoid behavior. "Miss Belladonna, Mister Parker, both of you haven't been participating in class recently. Why don't both of you come down a-"
"I'll do it." Mercury spoke up.
"Mercury is it? Very well, let's find you an opponent." Glynda said as she began to type in her scroll.
"Actually, I want fight….him." Mercury said pointing to Peter.
"What?"
"Are you sure? Mr. Parker is the most skilled student here. I recommend you chose another partner." Glynda responded. From the times she had Peter spar with the other students, it was clear just how skilled he was.
Peter never fought with the symbiote against other students, excluding the time he and his friends had with the food fight, which Glynda was really glad for. He was extremely agile and powerful without it. Which was because the boy had one thing that these students didn't have, experience against those stronger than him.
So a majority of the time, he would win without even getting hit. And the one time he actually fought Pyrrha, she barley even managed to get a few hits off him. Fortunately she would control Peter's "aura" meter to make it look like he took damage from his "aura" as to not raise suspicion. But that's all Pyrrha could do on that match, which made the other students realize just how capable the boy really was.
"I-it's fine. I'll do it." Peter said as he walked down to the stage, with Mercury doing the same.
Once they took their places on stage, Peter and Mercury stood in their positions. After a few seconds, Mercury would rush ahead and try to land a kick on Peter, but he would parry the kick and send Mercury back a couple of feet.
Mercury would recover by doing a few back flips and landing on his feet. Peter would just stare, waiting for Mercury to make his move. Seeing as Peter would not make a move yet, Mercury would rush forward once more and try to kick Peter multiple times before successfully sweeping his legs.
Peter would land on his hands and send himself towards Mercury with a double kick. Mercury would block using his arms and send Peter back, with Peter landing into his iconic position.
Mercury would take a few mental notes, recognizing Peter's strength and skill. He could tell Peter wasn't using his full power.
"Hey, your friend's doing pretty good." Ruby told Emerald, who was sitting behind her. Ruby was impressed with how well Mercury was doing against her fellow teammate.
Emerald would just smile in response and drop it when Ruby turns back around. Emerald herself was watching the match and taking mental notes as well.
Mercury would then run towards Peter and started to jump up and perform bunch of spins and kicks towards him. Peter would use his arms to both deflect or block these blows. And then jumped back as Mercury attempted to swing his legs forward when he jumped towards him.
Peter would finally make a move and dash behind Mercury and spin kick him. Mercury was sent flying forward and recovered by rolling and jumping up and back on his feet.
Both combatants rushed forward, each sending a series of kicks and punches towards each other. This would continue for a few moments until Mercury landed a dust boosted kick and successfully land it on Peter's face. In response, mostly by instinct, Peter would suddenly form a symbiotic arm around his right arm, along with his eyes going black, something Yang and Mercury noticed. And much to both Glynda and Venom's surprise, Peter would punch Mercury in the face after forming the arm.
This resulted in Mercury being sent flying backwards a dozen feet, and depleting Mercury's aura into the red zone.
Once Mercury got back up, he then said, "I forfeit."
"Huh? Your just going to quit?" Peter uncharacteristically said in annoyance.
"What's the point? I barely even got a hit off you and you just drained my aura in one punch. Your leagues ahead of me." Mercury shrugged.
Peter was actually ticked by this, he wasn't happy that this guy didn't even want to finish this fight. Usually Peter would be ok with this, especially since he actually hates fighting. But due to his current state of mind, this made him angry.
Before Peter could speak out his mind, Glynda says, "Next time, you may want to think a little harder before choosing an opponent."
"I'll be sure to do that." Mercury replies as he walked away.
"And Mister Parker, you need to be careful when using your semblance. You could have caused some serious damage." Glynda told the boy with stern look, although on the inside she was really concerned.
"Yes Ma'am." Peter grumbles as he walked off as well.
"That is all for today." Glynda told the class as the bell rung, "And remember the dance is this weekend, but you all have your first mission on Monday. I will not accept any excuses."
As everyone left, Mercury would group back up with Emerald and says, "Learning is so much fun.", with Emerald just rolling her eyes in response.
As everyone left, with Peter leaving on his own again, Blake was walking behind reading a book.
Interrupting her was Sun calling out, "Hey Blake, you doing ok?"
"I'm fine." Blake responded as she turned to face Sun.
"So I hear there's this dance going on this weekend, sounds pretty lame. But you and me I'm thinking not as lame, huh?" Sun began.
"What?" Blake asked in slight annoyance.
"The dance, this weekend. If Peter hasn't asked you to then maybe you and I can go?" Sun asked.
"Both me and Peter do not have time for a stupid dance. And for the last time I don't like him that way!" Blake replied as she walked off.
The rest of the girls watch as Blake left Sun there, with Ruby very concerned with Blake and Peter's well being.
/
"You what?"
"We want you to go to the dance." Ruby replied.
"That's ridiculous." Blake told her team leader.
"Blake, we're worried about you. This investigation is starting to mess with not just you, but Peter too." Yang said with concern.
"You can't sleep, you hardly eat, and to be honest your grades have been suffering." Weiss points out.
"You think I care about grades! People's lives are at stake!" Blake shouts.
"We know, and we're all still trying to figure out what Torchwick is up too." Yang tried to calm the feline down.
"Thanks to you and Sun, we know they're operating somewhere outside of Southeast Vale." Ruby spoke.
"And the Schnee Company records singled out Vale as the primary target for dust robberies over the last few months." Weiss added.
"Don't forget about their missing military tech and how they upgraded it to take down Spidey." Yang spoke out, slightly angry by tech designed to kill her friend.
"But there are still unanswered questions." Blake tried to counter.
"Blake, you won't be able to find anything if you can't even keep your eyes open." Ruby tried to reason with her.
"All we're asking is that you take it easy for one day. I bet Peter wouldn't want you collapsing either." Yang told her partner.
"Really? He is the only one who gets it. At least he is trying to investigate as well." Blake said with slight anger in her voice.
"Yes, but despite being an absolute dolt, at least he wouldn't want you following in his footsteps." Weiss countered, "Besides, it will be fun, Yang and I will make sure of it."
"Yeah, we're planning the whole event!" Yang said enthusiastically.
"Excuse me?"
"Team CFVY's away lasted longer expected." Weiss replied.
"So, Weiss and I were asked to pick up where they left off." Yang explained. "And now we can make sure you'll have the perfect night."
"And once it's all over, we'll return to our search. Well rested and ready." Weiss proclaimed proudly.
"So, what do you think? Maybe we can Peter to take a break too." Ruby asked Blake.
"I think this is a colossal waste of time and Peter is the only one who gets it." Blake answered as she got up and says, "I'll be in the library.", leaving the three girls on their own.
"Great, she can't keep going like this." Yang grumbles.
"And Peter isn't making a good example either." Weiss complained, "Seriously, why does he always spend so much time out there?!"
Yang says there in silence, she knew why, but something bothered her. She had a gut feeling that Peter isn't trying to find Roman. From his recent behavior, he was less confident and more paranoid. Whenever she looked at him, he was constantly looking all over the place, as if something was going to get him. But shouldn't his ability to sense danger warn him if that was the case?
No, something was wrong. He never seemed so scared before. And she had a feeling it had something to do with the night her team fought that Mech. Peter must have encountered something that could have scared him that night. But what did he find?
Yang had a few suspicions, but she would need to figure it out. She then thought about telling Ruby and Weiss his secret. Sure she and Blake promised they would let Peter tell them on his own time. But with his recent behavior, it felt like he may never tell them.
"I should just tell them, maybe it could help if the entire team knew. I don't think he would hold a grudge if I do. Besides, he needs more help than Blake." Yang thought.
Before Yang could even speak out a word to the two, they hear a knock on the door.
Weiss decided to answer door, hoping it was Peter to see she could at least give her a piece of her mind. But unfortunately for her, it was Jaune.
"Hey Weiss." Jaune greeted, holding a guitar in his hands.
"What do you want." Weiss asked, hoping he wouldn't ask her out.
"Well, I…. Ok I was going to do something but I need to talk to Peter." Jaune replied, surprising the heiress, seeing that he wasn't actually going to try again.
"Oh! I think, he could be in this science lab a couple floors down." Yang responds from the back of the room." "Why do you ask?"
"Oh you know, guy stuff. I just really need his advice." Jaune answered.
"Ok, and before you go can you see if you can convince him to take a break and attend the dance? It would mean a lot." Yang asked the fellow blonde.
"Of course, anything for my best friend. I'll catch you all later." Jaune said as he left.
Closing the door, Weiss than says, "Well, seems like he finally got it in his head that I don't to want to date him."
"Guess he figured you were a lost cause." Yang joked.
"Hey! All my life boys have only cared about the perks of my last name. Besides, I already have a date in mind." Weiss replied.
"If it's Pete than your out of luck, I think he might go out with Blake." Yang continued to joke.
"No! He is way too immature!" Weiss shouts as she blushes, "Although I wouldn't mind it too much." She thought internally.
"Date or no date, none of this will matter if we can't get Blake and Peter to go." Ruby said in saddened tone.
Yang looked at her sister, seeing the sadness in her eyes, "Ok, maybe I'll tell them after I can get Blake to change her mind. Then, the four of us can get Peter to change his."
/
"Parker what the heck was that?!" Venom scolded your host.
"What? I just used your abilities to counter the guy." Peter responds, "I don't see the problem."
The problem is that we can't use my abilities on anybody. Especially since that boy is on the same team as the fire women." Venom further scolds.
"That guy is probably unaware of who fire lady is. She is probably using those two as cover. Besides, you told Ozpin about her so it's fine." Peter brushed off. "Plus, if she saw that fight she'll know not to mess with us."
"What?! You should know we have to keep a low profile! We can't just give ourselves away remember!" Venom retorts. "You know what that's it."
"Oh really? What are you going to do then huh? Without a host your useless and if you try to control me I'll just put you in a jar!" Peter shouts.
Before either of them could continue arguing, Venom senses someone approaching and retracts back in.
"Hey, Peter, you in there? Yang said you would be here." Peter heard Jaune speak from outside the lab.
Peter sighs as he flipped the white board as to hide his notes and goes out to meet Jaune. "Yes Jaune?" Peter asked, he then noticed the guitar Jaune was holding, "What's with the guitar?"
"Oh, nothing. Was going to use this but I changed my mind at the last moment." Jaune replied, "Anyways, I wanted to speak with you for a moment. If your not busy that is."
"Look Jaune I-" Peter stuttered, but by looking at Jaune's pleading eyes he decided he would hear him out for a moment. "Ok fine, let me hear it."
"Thanks Peter. Alright, I was going to ask Weiss to the dance but recently I have been thinking. About what you said a while back, I think I figured out who you were talking about. It's Pyrrha isn't it?" Jaune asked.
"Huh?"
"You told me that there was a girl that liked me and that I was too focused on Weiss to even notice. And when you told me she was the one that was always there for me no matter what, I began to realize that the girl you were talking about was Pyrrha." Jaune elaborated, "She has always been there for me when I needed it, gave me advice when I am struggling with something, and she has been helping me be an even better Huntsmen."
"That's….wow, you figured it out." Peter responds in a surprised and tired tone. "Ok yes, Pyrrha is that girl. She has had a thing for you for a while now. But let me ask you this, what are you going to do?"
"I don't know, that's what I wanted to ask you, what do I do?" Jaune asked.
"Ok.." Peter inhales, "When your trying to woo Weiss how do you feel? And I want you to be completely honest."
"Well, it's tiring. She never takes me seriously and just sees me as a someone with little potential. Don't get me wrong, she's great. Despite Weiss being….Weiss, she is very talented and graceful. She is a good person when you get to know her. But when I try to ask her out and she doesn't even give me the slightest interest or even bother to give me a chance, it makes me feel miserable. And I think the only way to even try to woo her is to be someone I'm not." Jaune explained.
"Ok, and how do you feel around Pyrrha?" Peter asked.
"Well, like I said, she is always there for me, see's the potential I have and helps me improve myself. She is so kind and caring, and whenever we spend time together I don't have to put up an act or pretend to be cool or anything. She appreciates me for me and I can just be myself around her. And recently, I've begun to feel…I don't know how to describe it. I just feel like I'm someone special around her." Jaune answered, with slight blush on his cheeks.
Peter chuckles, although he feels tired right now, the way he sees Jaune speak about Pyrrha gave him a nostalgic feeling.
"God it feels like forever since I've felt something like that."
"There's your answer. That feeling your experiencing right now when your thinking about Pyrrha. And I think you know what to do now." Peter explained.
"So, Pyrrha is the one."
"Yep. Go to her, and hey maybe you should ask her out to the dance this weekend as your first date. I'm sure she'll love that. And remember, be your true goofy self." Peter said as he patted Jaune on the shoulder.
"I got it. Thanks a lot Pete, you're the greatest friend anybody can ask for." Jaune thanked the hidden vigilante. As Jaune was about to walk away he then asked, "Are you going to ask Blake out?"
"What?"
"I mean, you two seem to be very close, kind of seems obvious." Jaune replied.
"No, no, no, we are just friends. Besides I don't do dances. I've been to one once and even then it was mostly cause of a bet and my Aunt tricked me into going out with her friends niece." Peter replied with a smile which soon turned into a frown. "But like I said, we are just friends, besides I'll be busy that night."
"Ok? But think about going with the others for fun at least. I think you should probably spend some time with them and take a break from your Spider-Man stuff." Jaune answered.
"What do you mean?" Peter asked with slight nervousness.
"You know, your job getting photos. Are you having trouble finding the guy right now? Since VNN isn't getting as many photos of the guy recently." Jaune replied.
"Oh! Yeah, I have been having trouble finding him. But I'll think about it." Peter said as he went back in the science lab.
Jaune just shrugs, he could tell Peter has seemed unfocused but assumed it had something to do with having trouble getting photos.
As he left, he thought about how he would ask Pyrrha out. "Ok he said be myself, so maybe I just ask? Oh boy, I'm going to be a nervous wreck."
Back with Peter he breathes in and out after he finished talking with Jaune. The symbiote then got back out and asked, "Ok, that was something. But back to our conversation.."
"There's nothing to talk about, I'll just be careful. Besides we need to focus on your offspring. As long as it is still around people are going to die." Peter began. "I say we should just go out there and find it now."
"About that, I believe you need to go to that dance and take a break." Venom suggests.
"What?! I don't need a stupid dance or rest, I need to stop that thing!" Peter shouts.
"How can you stop it if you aren't in any condition to do so! You barely slept at all the past week, you barely eat, and all that coffee your drinking isn't helping at the slightest! Your acting just like you did while trying to find the Goblin!" Venom shouted.
"No I am not! And why do you want me to take a break all of a sudden. You were just as terrified as me! Do you want it going around causing chaos?!" Peter retorts.
"No, but if you don't take some time to rest for a bit first then you won't be ready to face it head on! You won't be able to stop it!" Venom replied.
"Yes I can! I just focus on taking it down then I will!" Peter argued.
"You couldn't even stop or destroy me! You never really beaten me! How do you expect to beat that red Klyntar?!" Venom countered.
"I'll figure something out! I've been thinking about using acid, it damaged you once before and I can safely store it until I can use it!" Peter continued to shout.
"It was only a minor inconvenience at best! At the very least rest and we can think of a new plan." Venom explained. "Just take a break and we will go straight back to hunting it."
"No! I will not wait anymore! And if you're not going to help then so be it!" Peter yelled as he ripped the symbiote off of him and stuffed it into a jar.
"Parker! Wait! You need to think about this! Your not ready!" Venom shouts as Peter put the jar in a shelf above the white board.
"I'm going to go find it, and prove to you that I don't need your help! I never did, you were nothing but another one of my mistakes! We should have never made this truce in the first place!" Peter shouts as he slammed the door.
The symbiote stared at the door, feeling sad just like it did when Peter first rejected it. It wasn't mad, it knew that the encounter Peter had with it's offspring really did a number on his mental health.
The Venom symbiote couldn't blame him, it also felt afraid at what it's offspring would do to this world. But those words hurt, Peter may never have needed him, he is capable of facing off against the crimson symbiote with his skills and a good plan. The problem was that Peter wasn't in a good state of mind to do so at the moment, he could get himself killed.
It had to get out and help him, but the jar was sealed tight. So, all it could do was shake around and screech as it failed to escape. Eventually, the symbiote stopped moving and entered a passive liquid state to conserve energy. Hopefully Peter cools down enough to at least take the jar it is in and carry it in his backpack.

"And finally Peter Benjamin Parker." Emerald spoke.
"One of Beacon's most impressive, and yet most mysterious students." Cinder added.
"There is very little info about the guy, and apparently he is the same guy that takes photos of the web-head." Mercury spoke.
"Interesting."
"And then there's his semblance, some sort of extra gooey black arms. He can also form black goo on his own arms too. It's a very unique and strange one, no one has ever seen anything like it too. Also, very creepy and gross if you ask me." Emerald shudders.
This got Cinder's attention, "What can you tell me about this, "semblance" of his."
"Well, when I fought the guy earlier, he used his semblance to land a mean punch to the face. Not only did it seem to bypass my aura, but it drained it as well. Heck I have bruise on my check too, and my aura still hasn't healed it." Mercury complained.
This not only intrigued Cinder put alarmed her, didn't Spider-Man's semblance do something similar before?
"Is there anything else?" Cinder asked, getting a bit serious.
"The kid holds back, he never seemed to go all out on me. I couldn't even touch him. He's much more skilled than anyone here, he even defeated Pyrrha Nikos. She barely even got a few hits herself from what I hear. Honestly, I don't think he even needed his semblance to beat me, guess he was distracted or something." Mercury explained.
"I see…" Cinder replied, from the small amount, yet very convincing clues, she was putting two and two together. Yes, this Parker could be him, it just adds up.
Emerald, coming to the same conclusion, then asks Cinder, "Wait, do you think this guy is the wall-crawler?"
"From what we know about both individuals, it is very likely." Cinder response.
"But the kid doesn't look anything like faunus. He looks completely human." Mercury points out.
"That may be the case, but his semblance could allow him to do such things. From what you both told me, his semblance is a strange one. If there is little known about it, then information from what he can do may also be hidden." Cinder explained. "If his semblance allows him to do such things, then he could be much more dangerous than we thought, add him to the list."
Emerald complied as she used her scroll to do so.
"You really think he is Spider-Man?" Mercury asked "And even so, you should be able to take him out no problem."
"Its not just simply about destroying the enemy, it's about destroying what they represent. If Spider-Man is a symbol of hope, then we crush him, and everyone will lose hope as well. And I will, in time." Cinder said with a smirk.
"Ugh, I hate waiting."
"Don't worry, we have a fun weekend ahead of us." Cinder told the silver haired boy, if she can get true conformation of Parker being Spider-Man, than she can't wait to crush the insignificant bug.
"Your days are numbered Spider-Man, or should I call you….Parker?"
/
"I need you to pick a table cloth." Weiss said as she placed two pieces of white cloth in front of Ruby.
"Aren't they both the same?" Ruby answered as she looked at both pieces of cloth.
"I don't even know why I asked. If Peter was here, then maybe his photography skills would help." Weiss complained as she walked off.
Yang then came in, carrying a large speaker. She then placed the speaker down, it's weight shaking the room. Yang then walked towards Ruby and asks, "So, have you picked out a dress yet?"
"What's the point, who cares about the dance if Blake or Pete don't come." Ruby sulked.
"Don't worry, I'll get them both to come." Yang reassures her little sister. She then turned to Weiss and called out to her, "Weiss! I thought we agreed no doilies!"
"If I don't get doilies, you don't get dog machines." Weiss retorts.
At that moment, they hear Neptune speak as he entered with Sun, "Your dance is going to have fog machines?"
"We were thinking about it." Weiss replied.
"That's pretty cool." Neptune complements.
"You ladies all excited for dress up?" Sun joked.
"Pfft, yeah right."
"Laugh all you want, I'll be turning heads tomorrow night." Yang proudly proclaimed.
"What are you two wearing?" Weiss asked the teen boys.
"Uh, this." Sun said as he gestures to his entire outfit.
Before Weiss could speak her disapproval, Neptune steps in front of Sun and says, "Ignore him, for he knows not what he says."
"Hey, I may have moved to Mistral, but I grew up in Vacuo. It's not exactly a shirt and tie kind of place." Sun tried to defend himself.
"Yeah, we've noticed." Yang said as all three of them gave unimpressed expressions.
They've seen better. And they will never admit to letting they're curiosity with a pair of binoculars, even Ruby, get the better of them on their male teammate. He doesn't even know.
The symbiote did, thought it'd be funnier to stay quiet.
"So uh, what does Blake think of all this? She's still being all, you know….Blakey?" Sun asked as he rubbed the back of his head.
"Obviously, I still can't think of a way to change her mind." Ruby continued to sulk.
"And is Peter being the same?" Sun asked.
"Unfortunately, it seems like he's worse off. I swear every time that dolt promises to talk to use when he is going through something he just ends up just regressing into some sort of personal bubble." Weiss answered in a concerning tone. She may find his antics annoying, but at the same time she secretly enjoys that aspect of Peter's personality.
"Don't worry, I'll change both their minds. Trust me, they'll both be at the dance." Yang promised as she left.

"I'm just going to come out and say it. Ren you, and Peter, are one of my best friends. These past few months I feel like we've really bonded. Even though you don't say much, I mean your really quiet, to be perfectly honest I don't know much about you personally. But darn it I consider you and Peter to be like the brothers I've never had!" Jaune told Ren, who was sitting next to him in his underwear.
"And I you." Ren responds, he was sure Peter would consider the same thing about Jaune if he was here.
"Which is why I wanted to ask your advice on…. girls." Jaune said, he already had a talk with Peter. And while Peter gave him the best advice there was, he wanted to hear what advice Ren would be able to give him.
"Girls?" Ren said in slight confusion.
"I just, don't know how….to girls. I um, I guess what I'm asking is, well, how did you and Nora uh…."
Ren was unsure how to answer this, but Nora come to his rescue by saying, "We're not actually together-together." Slightly chuckling nervously.
"Nora I said headphones on!" Jaune yelled, Nora complying very quickly.
"Jaune, what is this all about?" Ren asks.
"Well, I….. " Jaune stuttered, he wanted to say it was about Pyrrha, but the embarrassment was overtaking him.
Unfortunately and fortunately, depending on how you see it, Pyrrha came in and asked, "Is this about Weiss?", overhearing the conversation as when she was coming back to the dorm. She still believes Jaune was trying to woo the heiress.
"Pyrrha!" Jaune shouts, as he blushed. "Um, what makes you say that?"
"Well, you have tried to woo her for a while now. Seemed kind of obvious." Pyrrha said, a bit hurt on the inside.
"Um…yeah, I guess your right." Jaune lied, having fully stopped pursuing the heiress. Finally realizing who his heart really wanted.
"Then tell her how you feel, how you really feel. No ridiculous schemes, no pickup lines, just be honest. Be yourself." Pyrrha explained.
"But, what i-"
"Jaune, you can't get it wrong if it's the truth." Pyrrha reassures him.
Jaune took a moment to breathe. Pyrrha was encouraging him, and funny enough she doesn't know he know wanted to confess to her. It took a while to finally realize it, but she must really love him like Peter said.
"Ok then, guess this is it then huh? Peter, whatever happens, I just want to thank you for helping me realize who I truly love." Jaune internally thanked his best friend.
Jaune then stands up, and much to everyone's surprise, holds Pyrrha hands. This action made Pyrrha both curious and nervous at what Jaune was doing.
"Pyrrha…." Jaune says, getting the red head's attention, "For a while, I thought I wanted to be with Weiss. but I slowly, a bit too slowly then I'd like to say admit, began to realize something. She isn't the one I want to be with, sure she's great, but she doesn't really appreciate me for who I am. If I did somehow get with her, I'd have to change who I am, and I don't think I would be happy." Jaune admits
This surprised everyone, they all thought he was going to go out and talk to Weiss. Pyrrha was so confused, then she remembered. Jaune had talked to Peter.
"Wait, is he…."
"And right now, I finally know who I want to be with, it's you."
"Oh my god he is!" Pyrrha began to blush very brightly.
Both Ren and Nora's jaws dropped, they could not believe this is happening.
Continuing with his confession, Jaune then says, " Pyrrha, you make me feel a way I have never felt before. You have always been there for me, encouraging me, helping me improve, and so much more. I may be stubborn at times, a bit goofy, and I'll admit very dense at times. But you have always cared about me and accepted me for who I am. Pyrrha, you are one the most amazing people I have ever met, and I want to make you feel like I feel right now, so I want to ask you this. Will you be my date to the dance this weekend?" Jaune asked, his own cheeks turning red in embarrassment.
Silence overtook the room for about few minutes. This small amount of time Pyrrha didn't answer made Jaune nervous, "Was…was I took late? Has she moved on already?"
Finally, Pyrrha wrapped her arms around Jaune, embracing him in a huge. "I would love to be your date." Pyrrha answered with a smile on her face. She could not believe this, was this a dream? "I better not wake up to see this was a dream, because if I do I am breaking the alarm clock!"
Jaune and Pyrrha stayed in that huge for a while, both blushing more than they ever had in their entire life. Once they finally broke the hug, they couldn't help but continue to blush when looking at one another.
Finally breaking the silence, Jaune then says, "G-great, so um…. You and I are going to the dance."
"Yes, yes we are." Pyrrha responds, still having a hard time believing this. "I owe you one Peter."
"Finally! Took you both long enough! Way to go!" Nora cheers.
"Nora!" Ren shouts, "But yes, finally good to see you both together now. Congratulations."
"Yeah, just wish I didn't take this long. Sorry for making you wait Pyrrha." Jaune apologized.
"You don't apologize, I just want you happy, no matter who you decide to be with." Pyrrha told the blonde boy.
"Wow, I really don't deserve you."
Pyrrha giggled, "Well that's for me to decide, and I say you do." Pyrrha said with a smile that made Jaune turn red.
"So lover boy, what finally gave you the guts to confess?" Nora teased.
"Well, Peter help me. It's thanks to him that I finally realized who I really love. I owe him a lot." Jaune replied, Pyrrha nodding in agreement.
"Speaking of Peter, where is he? He hasn't been seen much recently." Ren asked.
"He's in one of the unused science labs a few floors down. He seemed, well, he seemed really tired." Jaune answers, "I think he might be struggling meeting his quota at VNN."
"From what I can tell he hasn't been sleeping all that much. And the others say he also hasn't been eating at all or attending classes as much." Pyrrha added. "I think something might be bothering him."
"Crapbaskets, now I wish I noticed sooner. I should check on him tomorrow at the science lab." Jaune told everyone.
"We should all go with you so we can nock some sense into him. We can help him too." Pyrrha suggested.
"Sure, I might need some help trying to help him. Thanks." Jaune thanked the Spartan girl as he held her hand.
"Yeah! Maybe Cardin is giving him a hard time! Let's break his legs!" Nora cheers, causing Ren to face palm.
Everyone just chuckles soon after, whatever Peter was going through, they would check in on him. His team might do the same thing, but that just meant Peter had a large number of friends that cared for his well being, friends he can rely on. Hopefully things will get better for him.

"Yang if you're going to tell me to stop, you may as well just save your breath." Blake told her partner.
Yang had dragged Blake to an empty classroom to talk. Yang was sitting on a teachers desk as she says, "I don't want you to stop, I want you to slow."
"We don't have the luxury to slow down." Blake says as she continued to pace back and forth in front of Yang.
"It's not a luxury, it's a necessity." Yang countered.
"The necessity is stopping Torchwick." Blake says in a slightly angered tone.
"And we're going to, but first you have to sit down and listen to what I have to say." Yang directed as she pats the spot of the desk in front of her.
While hesitant at first, Blake complied as she sat down on the desk, "Fine."
"Ruby and I grew up in Patch, and island just off the coast of Vale. Our parents were Huntsmen, our dad taught at Signal and out Mom would take on missions around the kingdom." Yang began to tell her partner, "Her name was Summer Rose, and was like super mom. Baker of cookies and slayer of giant monsters. And then, one day she left for a mission and never came back." Yang said with a hint of sadness in her voice.
"It was tough, Ruby was really torn up but, I think she was still too young to really get what was going on you know? And my dad just kind of, shut down. It wasn't long before I learned why, Summer wasn't the first love he lost, she was the second. The first was my mom." Yang explained, something that surprised Blake. "He wouldn't tell me everything, but I learned that the two of them had been on a team together with Summer and Qrow. And that she'd left me with him just after I was born. No one had seen her since."
"Why did she leave you?" Blake asked.
"That question, why?" Yang sighs as she got up from the desk, "I didn't know the answer, but I was determined to find out. It was all I thought about. I would ask anybody I could what they knew about her. Then, one day I found something, what I thought was a clue that could lead me to answers. Or maybe even my mother. I waited for Dad to leave the house, put Ruby in a wagon and headed out. I must have walked for hours, I had cuts and bruises, was totally exhausted. But I wasn't going to let anything stop me. When we finally got there, I could barely stand, but I didn't care, I had made it." Yang recalled.
"And then I saw them, those burning red eyes." Yang says as she recalled the memory, "There we were, a toddler asleep in the back of a wagon and a stupid girl too exhausted to even cry for help. We might as well been served on a silver platter. But as luck would have it, our Uncle showed up just in time. My stubbornness should have gotten us killed that night."
"Yang, I'm sorry that happened too you." Blake gave her condolences, "And I understand what you're trying to tell me, but this is different. I'm not a child and this isn't just a search for answers I can't just-"
"I told you, I'm not telling you to stop! I haven't, to this day I still want to know what happened to my mother, and why she left me. But I will never let that search control me. We're going to find the answers we're looking for Blake. But if we destroy ourselves in the process then what good out we?" Yang tried to reason with Blake.
"You don't understand, I'm the only the one who can do this!" Blake shouts in frustration.
"No you don't understand!" Yang shouts, getting frustrated herself, her eyes turning red. "If Roman Torchwick had walked through that door, what would you do?!"
"I'd fight him!"
"You'd lose!" Yang shoved the feline.
"I can stop him!" Blake tried to grasp Yang's shoulders.
"You can't even stop me!" Yang pushed Blake even harder.
"Then Peter can! He's basically a genetic super soldier!" Blake point out.
"And let him get himself killed?! You want that to happen to him?! Because he is even worse than you are right now!" Yang angrily shouts.
"No! I- I" Blake tried to argue, but she couldn't. Was Peter really in a worse state than her?
Snapping Blake out of these thoughts was Yang giving her a hug, "I'm not asking you to stop. Just please, get some rest. Not just for you, but the people you care about. Especially Peter, if he sees you slowing down then maybe he will too." Yang asked as she let go of her.
"Is, is Peter really in a worse state than me?" Blake asked in a saddened tone.
"To be honest, yes. I would say many, MANY, times worse. He hasn't been around at all, and when he is seen, he looks…. Scared." Yang began, worrying Blake. "I don't know why, but I don't think it has anything to do with Torchwick."
"What makes you say that?" Blake asks.
"Remember when we all fought Roman and Peter wasn't around, most likely doing some of his duties as Spidey?" Yang asked, getting a nod from Blake. "That's when he has been acting like that, I think he must have faced something or someone to leave him so paranoid."
"What do you think he saw?" Blake thought, she then remembered what they discussed about when all four of them went to look for him after the battle. "Wait, you don't think…"
"Yeah, maybe he fought the serial killer. And if he did, he must have sawn them kill someone in whatever brutal that could leave those victims like them." Yang correctly assumed, although she didn't know the culprit wasn't human.
"Oh my Oum, and he must have been searching frantically for the culprit and here I am not even helping him." Blake began to blame herself.
"Don't blame yourself, took me a while to put the pieces together. But like I said, you need to slow down. And especially Peter. If we can get him to take a break, then both of you can be at your best to catch Roman and that guy." Yang began to comfort her.
"But how do we get him to listen, he his even more stubborn than you." Blake slightly jabbed at Yang.
"Well, I think we have to tell the others his secret." Yang replied, much to Blake's surprise, "I know we both promised him to let him tell them. But at his current state of mind, I don't think he will. I believe if we explain what I believe is going on to Ruby and Weiss then maybe we can all help him ease up a bit. At least long enough for him to rest and help him catch the killer." Yang suggested.
"Are you sure that will work? Peter isn't comfortable with sharing personal information about himself, especially secrets like that." Blake stated her concerns. "Especially since the dance is tomorrow."
Yang thought for a moment, she then got an idea, "Remember that science lab Peter spends his time at? Let's go get Ruby and Weiss and tell them everything about Peter. If he is still there then hopefully we can have an intervention."
"Ok then. Let's go." Blake said as Yang nodded. They both left the room to gather the rest of the team.
/
"Wait! Your telling me that dolt is Spider-Man?! That's-"
"So awesome! Why didn't he tell us?!" Ruby pouted.
The four girls had arrived at the same floor where the science lab was, and making their way there.
Weiss just couldn't fathom what Yang and Blake were telling her. If they were telling the truth, the Peter was the one who saved her life that day. Weiss conflicted, while she was glad that Peter had been doing so much good and being a noble hero apparently, at the same time she felt betrayed that he didn't tell her his secret.
Ruby on the other hand, was very ecstatic, just like the symbiote predicted. This enthusiasm soon turned to embarrassment as she realized she had been fan-girling about Spider-Man, in front of Spider-Man. "Oh my God, I acted like a big geek about Peter, in front of Peter! I showed him my Spidey collection!" Ruby covered her face with her hands.
"Wait a minute, Peter was a faunus the whole time? But where is his faunus traits? We haven't seen anything on him at all." Weiss asked, trying not to blush at the memory of Peter's body. "Damn it Yang! You had to have those binoculars!" but the amount of scars on his body did make sense when she thought about that, him being Spider-Man was a good explanation.
"It's complicated, it's best you let Peter explain himself. To be honest when he told us what he is, we had a hard time believing it." Yang told the heiress.
"Why did he tell you and not us?" Ruby pouts.
"We technically found out he was Spider-Man by chance. And we essentially demanded he explain his abilities." Blake explained, "If we never found out, he may have never told us anything. He said he would tell you two when he felt ready."
"But with how Peter is right now, I think it would be best we told you two and all four of us can get him to snap out of it." Yang said as they all arrive in front the science.
Ruby was first to open the door, hoping Peter was inside so they could all take. But when they opened the door, the room was empty. Nothing but a small chemistry set on a desk and a "empty" White board.
"Great, that dolt isn't here, we came here for nothing." Weiss complained, "What does he do here anyway?
"He makes his webs here, he did say he can't actually shoot out webs." Yang answered as she looked at Peter's chemistry set.
"He makes synthetic spider silk?! That's so cool!" Ruby shouts as she looked at the chemistry set. Next to the set was a notebook with Peter's web formula, along with the blueprints to his web-shooters. "Whoa!" Ruby says with stars in her eyes as she looked at the notebook.
"Yep, those are his web-shooters, me and Blake got to see him make his webbing too. It, got messy once." Yang recalled, she was not happy when her hair got messy.
"No fair!" Ruby pouts. "I want to see him make these. Oh! Think we can get him to make webs for our weapons? It would be the best thing in the world!"
"Ahem." Weiss interrupted the two, a hint of jealousy in her tone, "Well all of that doesn't matter if Peter isn't here. What do we do now huh?"
The girls stayed silent for a moment, unsure of what to do now, it starting to get very late and Peter wasn't even here. While most of them were thinking, Blake decided to take a look around, her feline curiosity getting the better of her. Shen noticed the white board, she remembered that Peter didn't always have this here.
"What is this doing here? Peter has never used it from the looks of it. Unless…." Blake turned the White board around for everyone to see the vast amounts of notes written in blue, black, and a bit of red marker.
As the girls began to look at the white board, above it was the symbiote in a jar, still in its liquid state.
"Crapbaskets, It was inevitable they would find this. I blame you for that Parker. But I can't do anything about it right now."
The girls read the notes, questions filling there minds. They look at many words they had no knowledge of. What confused them the most was that the notes seemed to written as if someone else was communicating with him.
"Spider-sense doesn't work, nor does Symbiote-sense."
"Stop calling it that."
"Can't defeat the red Klyntar alone, was even against it with the symbiote in suit form, but not for long."
"My true form could be strong enough, but may not be able to use it due to Parker's mental state."
"Sound may work, fire too. But may just leave me vulnerable with the symbiote weakened as well.
"May need to overcome one of my weakness if able."
"Gene cleanser could work, but might end up being used on me to remove my powers and forcing the symbiote to come off."
"Plus you don't have the notes to recreate it, so you failed to recreate it as a result. And like you said, may be used on you, just like in our final battle when I tried to remove your powers and you used it on me."
"Only solution left, maybe some acid could work. Need to get into that.
They girls were just confused, what the heck was going on here? The few things that got there attention was the words Klyntar and Symbiote.
"What in Remnant is a Klyntar?" Weiss asked, she didn't know why, but saying that word made her feel uncomfortable.
"I, I don't know. I never heard Peter say anything like that? And what's with the word Symbiote?" Yang asked herself.
"It could relate to the word Symbiosis. When two organisms work together and both benefit." Blake explained.
"Wait, like some sort of animal or parasite or something? That's gross." Ruby gagged.
"Ouch, there was no need for that."
"Peter having a parasite, ok that makes no sense what so ever. He would be showing symptoms by now." Weiss denied the possibility of Peter having another organisms live in his body.
"You have no idea Schnee, and I'm not a parasite." The symbiote internally denied.
"What about the times he spaces out?" Yang correctly assumed. "Think about it, he spaces out a lot. Sometimes it's as if he is disconnected from the rest of the world."
Deciding to add to the conversation, Blake says, "I noticed Peter have facial expressions as if he is talking to someone. I've looked at him when he doesn't think anybody is paying attention to him, and he occasionally has facial expressions that make it look like he's talking to someone."
"Yep, they are definitely going to figure it out. Parker won't like this."
"So what, he might have some parasite messing with his brain?! Wait, does that mean Peter isn't even Peter? Could he actually just be being controlled by some nasty parasite." Weiss gagged.
"Nope, Parker is in control. Come to think of it, I'm slowly being controlled by his morals. How the turn tables." The symbiote quipped, much to it's own disappointment.
Deciding to change the subject from gross stuff, Ruby then asks, "What does Gene cleanser mean? And why does it mean by getting rid of his powers?"
Deciding to add context to Peter's powers since he is here to explain it, Blake says, "Peter is human, not a faunus. Apparently his DNA had been rewritten accidentally by a lab spider biting him. So while he does have spider DNA, he isn't a faunus."
"That sounds something out of a comic book." Weiss deadpanned, "How do you know he was telling the truth?"
"I don't think he would lie about that." Yang came to Peter's defense, "To be honest, could be why he didn't tell anyone, nobody would believe him."
"Xia long, you have no idea how correct you are."
"It says here Gene cleanser would remove his powers…..wait, does Peter want to get rid of his powers?!" Ruby shouts with worry, unaware of the times he was even close to willingly drinking the vial he once had. "But, he's a superhero! He can't just give up!"
"Maybe…" Blake said, she didn't think so from what the notes say, but it wouldn't be fare fetched that Peter would have thought about doing so. "The burden you must carry must be so much for you." Blake thought sadly.
"I doubt that, if anything it says here he won't be making it, or at least not anymore." Yang said as she looked away from the white board and onto a microscope and some vials.
The girls see what Yang was looking at and walk towards the corner of the room. The vials contained yellow liquid, each labeled as failed. Weiss decided to look into the microscope and noticed something very peculiar.
"What in the god's……."
"Ah, there noticing the Gene cleanser failures. I'm going to be honest, it was for the best Parker didn't have the notes or enough resourses to recreate it." The symbiote thought.
"What? What is it Weiss?" Ruby asked her partner.
Weiss stepped aside to allow each of the girls to see what she saw. What they saw was a mess of what looked like DNA, in the middle was a regular helix, the DNA being human. And as for the rest of it, it was coming off from the helix and looked very similar to spider webbing, this was the genetically modified spider's DNA.
"Hold, is this…"
"Peter's DNA." Weiss interrupted Yang's sentence, "But it looks so off, DNA should not look like this. He seems to have extra DNA, it should be unstable, his body should have he degraded, he shouldn't be alive! And yet…"
"It's somehow stable." Blake finished Weiss, "Do you believe it now?"
"If this is Peter's actual DNA, then I do." Weiss replied.
"That explains what Peter meant." Yang spoke out loud.
"What do you mean Yang?" Ruby asked with curiosity.
"Crapbaskets, shouldn't have said that." Yang cursed herself, "Well, after Peter told me and Blake how he got his powers, I got curious and asked how it felt for his body to change. He said it was the worst pain imaginable." Yang explained, getting looks of concerns from the other half of the team.
"That sounds so horrible, do you think he still feels that pain?" Ruby asked with concern.
"I don't think so, he looks fine, if you ignore his current state." Blake told the innocent Rose.
"Unbelievable." Weiss says as she rubbed the bridge of her nose, "Our co-leader is a anomaly of nature, who has lost his family, could possibly have some sort parasite, and is trying take out whatever the hell a Klyntar is." Weiss essentially summed up from what they got from the white board.
"You forgot stranded in another universe. But none of you know that."
"Yeah, starting to think his Parker luck really is that bad." Yang sighs.
While the girls started to get exhausted from their little investigation, Blake then asked, "Klyntar….have any of you even heard of something like that before?"
"No, not even in Atlas have I ever even heard such a word." Weiss replied for everyone.
"What could that even be? Is it a Grimm or some type of animal or something?" Yang guessed.
In the jar, the symbiote sighed internally, "Far, far worse."
"We should look into that, maybe we can find something in the library that could answer our questions." Blake suggested, getting a nod from Yang and Blake.
As those three began to discuss what they would talk to Peter about, Ruby looked at the board again, and read over one of the suggestions again. The suggestion was the one talking about a "true form" and how it could be strong enough but couldn't be used because of Peter's mental state.
"What could this mean? And is Peter really ok? If Peter does have a parasite, then this note doesn't sound like something a parasite would say, it seems to worry about Peter's health Maybe it's trying to help him?" Ruby thought. She then looked back at the notes about the Gene cleanser, a frown forming on her face.
Ruby couldn't feel anything but sad of the thought of Peter getting rid of his superpowers. Spider-Man was her hero, and that meant Peter was her hero. She didn't want him to give up if there was even a sliver of a chance that he wanted to get rid of his superpowers.
"Please don't give up, you have saved so many people. And you inspired me to be a hero too."
The girls began discussing what to do about having a intervention with Peter. All this new information was just so much to process.
The symbiote watches from the shelf above, it could sense the worry the girls had for it's host. It was glad that these friends of Peter actually went out to seek him out and try to be there for him. It knew that it couldn't give Peter what he needed when it came to his mental health. Although now the problem would be how they would treat it's host when they find out of it's existence.
/
Meanwhile, within the outer skirts of Vale, in a the same warehouse where Spider-Man fought the crimson symbiote, Spider-Man stood there, waiting. He knew that if they would fight again, it would mostly likely be in a place like this.
And he was right.
Just nearby, the crimson symbiote had re-entered the city of Vale once more. It didn't get to consume as much people like it did before. Most because the remaining villages had those paladins guarding them. The creature knew it wasn't strong enough to tackle that, yet.
So it had returned and went to look for Spider-Man to attempt to be whole once more. It's instincts lead it to go to where they first fought.
It spotted Spider-Man and his in the shadows, looking for an opening to attack. While it snuck around, it tripped a wire, which was a trap left by Spider-Man, causing it to activate a loud alarm.
The alarm caused the crimson symbiote to screech pain, it also alerted Spider-Man to it's presence. Before the alien could react, Spider-Man had dashed towards it and punched it in the face. This ended up turning the symbiote into a messy puddle since the vibrations caused it's form to be unstable.
Spider-Man, who had not even spoken a single word, tried to pull out something from his backpack. But the crimson alien formed it's itself into a fist, hitting Spider-Man in the chest and sending him back a few feet, stopping him from doing so.
Spider-Man glared angrily at the alien as both him and it got back up. The crimson alien lunged forward with it's arms extended forward, attempting to grab the arachnid. Spider-Man jump out of the way and landed onto the side of a wall. He then shot multiple webs on top some nearby metal pipes, and just as the crimson alien almost got to him, Spider-Man banged the metal pipes together.
The made even more noise causing the alien to fall down, screeching in pain, grabbing it's head as it began to destabilize. Taking advantage of this, Spider-Man webbed even more metal pipes and stared to slam them into the ground and made a circle around the alien with said metal pipes.
He then continued to hit the metal pipes, which continued to make the alien screech as it began to shrink.
"If I had just done this before then I wouldn't have to worry about you at all." Spider-Man growled, "Now, eat this!" Spider-Man shouts as he took out multiple bottles of acid and began to pelt it at the alien.
"RAAAAAAAAAAAEEEEEEE"
The crimson symbiote screamed at is began to feel it's body melt. It couldn't understand how it was losing, it had a easier time fighting the Spider in their first battle. So how was he being overwhelmed this time?
It was its weakness. Yes, these weakness, it left it vulnerable to be destroyed. It couldn't let that happen, it won't let that happen! It will not lose because of some pathetic weakness!
Gathering as much strength as it could, it began to grow. It ignored the pain of the vibrations, the pain of it's body being damaged. It then realized something, the only thing actually damaging it was the acid, not the vibrations. Yes, the vibrations didn't actually harm it, it only forces it's body to go unstable, the damage of vibrations was only in the mind.
Something it inherited from the first ever Klyntar.
Upon the realization of it's mental barrier, it begun to over come it. It ignored the vibrations, finally allowing itself to focus and regenerate from the damages of the acid.
Spider-Man watched frantically as the alien began to grow exponentially, he continued to throw all the acid bottles he had. but unfortunately he could only fit so many in such a small backpack even if he emptied it out.
"No, no, no!" Spider-Man screams as he stepped back while he watched the alien grow. "I may be out of acid, but I can still use the vibrations to weaken you!" Spider-Man yells as he hit two metal bars together. But the vibrations only made the alien hiss in annoyance.
"Crapbaskets."
With the creature fully formed, it began to chase Spider-Man as he began to run. Spider-Man ran around the warehouse, avoid multiple small red spears being shot at him. Spider-Man managed to dodge most of them, although some barley hit him by slightly cutting his body.
With a couple new cuts into his suit, Spider-Man tried to use the traps that had alarms, bells, or anything that could make loud noises by tripping each string set in place. But unfortunately the crimson symbiote ignored the vibrations, solely focused on try to catch the web head.
"Damn it! I couldn't take him down! Who am I kidding, the symbiote was right I wasn't ready!" Spider-Man cursed himself. He forgot that during the time the symbiote was bonded with Eddie that the vibrations wasn't as effective like it was at first.
He then realized why sound did work when it was bonded with him, Peter controls his negative emotions, so the symbiote still had that weakness, but not the red offspring. "It probably runs on negative emotions just like Symbie did with Eddie! But they needed a host to even use said emotions. This thing doesn't have a host to get rid off! It's probably running on its own negative emotions!"
Spider-Man didn't know what to do, without a host, it somehow overcame it's weakness to sound. And having fun out of acid bottles and no access to fire, he realized he couldn't do it alone.
Spider-Man then begun to hide in the warehouse, essentially turning the battle into a game of cat and mouse. Crimson symbiote growled as it looked all over for the vigilante. While it would usually use it's own Symbiote-sense to look for the arachnid, the vibrations did make it so it had a hard time doing so.
It seems like another aspect of it's weakness it would seek to overcome.
Spider-Man stayed silent as he tried to take out his scroll. In state of fear and panic, Spider-Man accidentally bumped into a wooden board, knocking it over.
"Why the heck is there a random piece of wood here?!"
In a instant, the creature slashed at the column where the noise came from. With column slices into pieces, it looked to see nothing there.
It let out an angry screech as it continues to look around. Thankfully Spider-Man was quick enough to jump up on a ceiling of the building, and quietly crawled behind another column. He then pulled out the scroll and sent a message to Glynda.
"Emergency, I found the red guy. Against my better judgement I left the symbiote in a jar at the science lab after an argument and went after it. I need help ASAP! The jar with Symbie is on top a shelf above the white board."
After Spider-Man sent the message, a ping come out of the Scroll. Spider-Man couldn't even cursed internally as tendrils immediately wrapped around him and began to slam him all over the place. As a result Spider-Man dropped the scroll and it shattered as a result. This meant Spider-Man couldn't even send a message where he even was.
Spider-Man then freed himself from the tendrils and grabbed them. He then began to swing the alien around and threw it away from him. Almost immediately, the crimson alien landed on its feet and dashed forward.
Spider-Man then began to dodge, or try to dodge, a flurry of swipes from both the aliens claws and sharped tendrils. While Spider-Man did dodge a few swipes, he was eventually hit with multiple attacks, making more cuts and hashes onto his arms and legs. The crimson then extended its arms and grabbed Spider-Man, slamming him into a wall and then throwing him up high.
Spider-Man was sent crashing into the ceiling, breaking it as he then landed on the second floor of the abandoned building. Spider-Man groaned as he slowly got up, trying to ignore the pain.
The crimson symbiote took a moment to look at some of the blood it drew out from the Spider, it then absorbed the drops of blood. With the blood absorbed, it gained a bit more strength and went up, making a whole in the ceiling. It looked around to see no one around.
Spider-Man continued to hide behind another column, trying to stay as quiet as possible. But it proved to be difficult as he started to hyperventilate, which alerted to alien to his location again.
I'm an instant, a red tendril pierced straight through Spider-Man's right shoulder and threw him across the other side of the room. Spider-Man then got up as he looked up at the alien.
"SCREEEEEEEEEE." The alien roared as it got ready to pounce again.
"This is it, if I don't live long enough for Ms. Goodwitch to get here, then I'll at least go out fighting." Spider-Man thought to himself, "Bring it on."
/
Ms. Goodwitch was running as fast as she can towards the science lab. The young here sent her an urgent message saying he was facing that creature. What alarmed her the most is that the young boy went to face it alone, without the other alien.
She had sent a message to share his location, but she got no response. She hoped that maybe the scroll got damaged as the boy was trying to stay alive. She was correct, but the real question was for how long.
Once Glynda got to the door she heard voices on the other side of the room. She opened the door, which revealed team RWBY discussing among themselves.
The girls then looked towards the experienced Huntress, each with the same expression of uneasiness. "Ms. Goodwitch! Um we were um…" Ruby panicked unable to come up with an excuse.
Things just got even more complicated, what she could tell from the white board and how the girls seemed to have been standing in front of it, along with the materials Peter left there, they must have figured out his secret.
"Girls, I-" but before the Huntress could even say another word, they all heard a noise coming a shelf above the board.
Everyone looked to see a jar filled with black liquid shake violently. They could even here what sounded like…screeching?
"Why is that jar moving?" Yang asked as all the girls stepped back from the board.
The jar continued to shake violently, the symbiote had suddenly sensed the danger it's host was in. It didn't know how, maybe it was the DNA it implemented in itself, or maybe it was because of being bonded to Peter for so long. Either way it didn't matter, what did matter is that it could sense Peter being in danger and where he was.
With everyone in shock, including Glynda, the jar finally fell and landed onto the floor, breaking into pieces. As it broke, the symbiote splatted all over the floor with bits of hot landing on Weiss's shoes.
"Gross! What is this stuff?!" Weiss yelled.
To the girls surprise, the black ooze crawled off of Weiss, much to her disgust, and began to re-form. The young huntresses stared in a combination of awe and weariness as the ooze suddenly formed a neck and a head.
The head only displayed eyes similar to Spider-Man's mask. It decided not to form a mouth as it would most likely scare the girls.
The girls continued to step back, slowly getting close to Glynda out of fear. Blake then looked towards the huntress and asked, "Ms. Goodwitch, what is that thing?", remembering that Peter mentioned Ozpin and Glynda knew his secret as well. She hoped that she knew what this was as well.
Glynda couldn't form the words to answer the question, fortunately for her, the symbiote formed a tendril grabbed a marker and tapped it against the board getting everyone's attention. Everyone watch as it pointed towards the word Symbiote and Klyntar. They then watched as it erased a bit of the notes and wrote the words….
"Parker, in danger, red Klyntar. I sense where he is, we need to hurry."
The symbiote then used a tendril to grab another empty jar from a drawer. It then crawled to the Huntresses. The girls then continued to step back even further as they watch the symbiote hand the jar to Glynda and jump inside the jar. It let out a small tendril and motioned for her to go now.
Nodding, Glynda then turned to the girls and said, "I know you all have questions but right now there is an emergency involving young Parker. For your safety, head to your dorms now." Glynda instructed as she left in a hurry.
The girls stood there, with more questions in their heads. "Okay what in Oums name just happened?! What was that thing, and how does it know Peter?!" Weiss shouts.
"It pointed towards the word Symbiote and Klyntar on the board." Blake reminded everyone, still uncomfortable with what that thing was. "With it's writing being similar to the black writing on the notes then I think we now know who Peter has been talking to in secret."
"Ok this is all just to much to process." Yang expressed her frustrations, "That thing looks something out of a horror movie not only does it seem it has been talking to Peter, but Ms. Goodwitch seems to know what that thing is! Just what is going on here?!"
While most of the girls were trying to wrap their heads around this, Ruby could only state at what the creature wrote.
We need to followed her."
"What? What do you mean?" Weiss asked.
"Did you guys forget, Peter is in trouble, we have to go help!" Ruby shouts.
"Help?! What do you mean help? Ms. Goodwitch told us to go to our dorms. Whatever is going on she can handle, especially since she knows what is going with that dolt!" Weiss argued.
"Still! We have to, he's our friend! If he is in danger then we have to help him!" Ruby pleads, "I know that we were told to stay, but I can't just stand by and let anything happen to Peter if we could have stopped it!" Ruby countered.
"But we can't just break the rules!" Weiss argued.
"I don't care about that! If Peter was in our shoes he wouldn't hesitate to do the right thing and help us, so neither will I!" Ruby shouts as she ran off.
"Well, I guess that's settled come one!" Yang said as she followed Ruby.
Weiss sighs in frustration, "Who am I kidding, there right. Are you coming along too?" Weiss asked the feline.
"Of course. Besides, once we are done helping him I believe we all have questions to ask Peter." Blake said as both of them left as well.
"Just what were you hiding Peter?"

A little while later, the girls had followed Glynda to the outskirts of Vale, knowing that she would have found Peter. Once they arrive, Glynda turns around to see the girls behind her, shocked that the didn't listen to her instructions.
"What are you young ladies doing here, I told you all to go to your dorms!" Glynda shouts in a worried tone.
"I'm sorry ma'am but of Peter is in danger then we can't just look the other way!" Ruby shouts as the girls drew their weapons, ready to help.
"We should have expected this, Parker has been a huge influence on them." The symbiote whispered to Glynda for her to here, forgetting that Blake would still be able to hear it.
The experienced Huntress then told the girls, "You four don't understand, what Peter is facing isn't just a-" bit again she was interrupted by the sound of Spider-Man being thrown onto the ground in front of them.
Before anyone could say anything else, they heard a loud rape from ahead.
"RAAAAAAAAAEEEEE"
Everyone looked to say what made that noise, and what they all say chilled them to the very soul. Standing there was the crimson symbiote. They all looked at what the creature was, every single detail, from the arms to it's legs and it's mouth and eyes. And they all had the same thoughts.
It looked like some monster that could only be found in nightmares, it didn't help that it looked a bit similar to Spider-Man.
"Wha-what is that?"
"They all then heard Spider-Man grunt as he had trouble getting up, everyone gasped as they all noticed the poor state he was in. Most of his suit above the waste was torn off, revealing multiple cuts on his body. His legs also had a few cuts here and there, blood dripping from multiple places on his body. And finally, half his mask on the left side was ripped off, showing his brown eyes and hair for all of them to see, a pained and exhausted expression on his.
"Peter….." is all Weiss could mutter.
"It's responsible, all those deaths, all that destruction, all the carnage." Is all Peter could say, now filled with fear. Fear of this thing hurting his friends.
That word…….yes, that word seemed fitting for some reason, the crimson alien thought. Noticing everyone hesitating to even make a move, it then lunged forward in an attempt to consume them all.
Faster than anyone could react, the Venom symbiote jumped onto Peter and formed the black suit around him. In an instant, Symbiote Spider-Man lunged forward and clashed with the crimson alien. Both combatants got themselves in a clash as they used there arms and tendrils in place.
Glynda got her crop out and prepared stepped in front of the girls in order to protect them. As for the young huntresses, something began to click, Peter's semblance wasn't a semblance at all, it was that thing the whole time.
The all watched, frozen in place as Spider-Man and the crimson alien fought. Both were on even grounds for now. Spider-Man then jumped over and grabbed the alien's head and threw it with enough force to send it flying forward dozens of feet away.
"Go! It's to dangerous for you all!" Spider-man called out to his friends, snapping them out of their frozen trance.
"They were all in the lab earlier looking for you. I sensed you were in danger I had no choice but to reveal myself. I didn't speak as to not scared them, the Women came it in just as I got out and took me to find you. And as you can see, they came despite being told not to." Venom explained.
"Do they know? About what you are? About what I am?" Spider-Man asked.
"No, like I said I didn't speak and left immediately. But they will no doubt have many questions." Venom answered.
Spider-Man sighed internally, it felt like his world was slowly coming apart just like when Eddie attempted to expose him a while back.
Glynda then turn to the girls and said the same thing, "He is correct, you all need to get out of here now!"
"But we can help! We may not know what is going on but we won't run away." Ruby shouts, her team agreeing with her as they all charged in to help.
Glynda was frustrated at this, this wasn't going to be easy.
Back with Spider-Man, he was then rammed by the crimson symbiote, and it attempted to wrap itself around him. But it was stopped as Yang came in and punched it in the face, sending it flying once again.
"I thought I told you guys to get out of here, it's too dangerous!" Spider-Man told the girls.
Yang then sent a glare at Spider-Man, "You did but we are not going to let you fight alone. Besides your being hypocritical you know?"
The crimson symbiote then lunged towards the blonde teen, but was blasted away and encased in ice. Weiss then came to the two and said, "For the record, we have many questions and when we are done you are answering them all." Weiss demanded.
Spider-Man just got up and ignored the heiress as he saw the crimson symbiote break out it's icy prison. Spider-Man was about to lunge towards the alien, but dust rounds began to pelt it in the face. The alien screech in annoyance as Spider-Man looked to see Blake and Ruby shooting at it.
"No! They can't be here it's too dangerous." Spider-Man panicked on the inside. "You don't understand, that thing is more dangerous than anything you have ever faced!" Spider-Man tried to convince the others to leave.
"We won't let you fight that monster alone, we're a team remember?" Ruby tried to get her friend to calm down.
But Spider-Man couldn't calm down, he ended up being unfocused on the fight and more around protecting his friends. The threat of the red Klyntar made him forget they could protect themselves.
Angered by the interference of mere children, the crimson symbiote's body started to swell. It's body grew a bit more bloated until it released multiple red spikes out of it's body at the teens.
Spider-Man quickly extended four tendrils from his back and grabbed the girls as he jumped back. Just as he did so, Glynda used her semblance to stop the spikes midair and send them back towards the crimson alien. The alien screech in anger as the spikes shredded it to a messy puddle.
"Heck yeah! Take that you-" but Yang's cheer was cut short as everyone watches the red puddle take shape, the crimson symbiote hissing as it returns to its normal form.
"Ok what the heck does it take to destroy that thing?!" Blake asked Spider-Man.
"I don't know." Spider-Man answered honestly, he didn't know what to do
"What?!" the girls screamed, causing Spider-Man to flinch. The alien tried to lunge towards them again, but it was kept in place by Glynda.
Struggling to keep the creature at bay, Glynda tells the girls, "Please, you have to get out of here!" less stern and more worried for the teens safety.
But before anyone could rebut, the crimson alien broke out of Glynda's hold and shot out more spikes. Spider-Man acted quicker by surrounding each of the Remnant women in symbiote domes, leaving him open to get cut by the spikes.
The crimson symbiote shot out a tendril and wrapped it around Spider-Man's leg. It reeled him in faster then anyone could react and attempt to envelope him once more.
The girls rushed in without thinking, much to Glynda's dismay as she essentially used up all her aura to even keep a hold of the creature, all of them attempting to even land a blow.
But the alien just extended tendrils from its back and smacked everyone away. The girls kept trying, a combination of ranged attacks and melee attacks, but nothing.
Yang attempted to use the damaged she sustained as fuel for her semblance, but when she tried to use it, she couldn't feel any of her aura left.
"Wh-why can't I use my semblance?!" Yang shouts in a panic.
The other girls expressions suddenly shattered, they all tried to use their own semblance, but realized their aura had been completely drained.
Spider-Man watched while he struggled to get out of the crimsons symbiotes grasp. His started to hyperventilate, the symbiote tried to calm him down, but even they couldn't stay calm either.
Eventually, Spider-Man snapped as he roared in anger. This got everyone's attention. And when they looked, they saw him open his jaw revealing a sharp teeth.
Just like the red one.
The all watched in frozen fear as Spider-Man broke out of the alien's grasp and engaged in a ruthless battle.
The mouth didn't disappear as Spider-Man and the crimson alien tried to slash and bite one another. They all watched as two fought, neither one of them backing down, seeking to kill one another.
But eventually, Spider-Man slowly started to lose energy. He started to get beaten just like before the girls arrived, the crimson symbiote slashing and cutting, damaging the symbiote in the process.
The alien then grabbed Spider-Man by the head and kneed him in the face. Before Spider-Man could be sent flying, it grabbed his leg and began slamming him onto the ground before picking him up spamming his back on its knee.
Spider-Man screamed in pain, badly hurt as he is then thrown all the back and a few feet in front of them.
Spider-Man, with one of his eyes exposed, looked at his friends, fear displayed on their faces.
Before he could say anything, Blake said something that hurt Peter more than anything ever could.
"Just what the hell are you?"
And then, the crimson symbiote towered over Spider-Man, engulfing him entirely, and forming a large egg looking dome.
This caused everyone to snap out of their fearful trance. They shouted Peter's name, worried for what was about to happen next.
Suddenly, the dome started to crack. They all watched as it broke open, hoping Peter would have broken out.
He didn't
Out cam the crimson alien, much larger and bulkier then before. It was now twice as large, with even more sharper teeth, longer tongue, and sharper tendrils. It's head was much larger with even more angrier eyes, and the black veins around its chest looked so much like the Spider emblem on Spider-Man's chest, more twisted than the original.
"What did you to Peter!" Ruby shouted at the creature, tears beginning to form on her face. And to her and everyone's surprise..
It spoke.
"Parker……. There is no Parker….. there is no Spider-Man…..There is only Carnage! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"
