Tangled Shore

Blake and Yang had followed the pike the two barons took to escape with the Relic of Knowledge in tow. Deciding to follow them instead of the gigantic baron known as Reksis Vahn, they got out their scrolls and manifested their Sparrows and followed them in pursuit.

It proved difficult for them due to the jagged landscape and the huge holes that appear in the pathway connecting one part of the Tangled shore to another. Every time they went over a bridge hastily constructed with cables and scrap metal, they both had to clench their teeth, praying that it wouldn't snap and send them plummeting down below. Fortune smiled upon them and they passed over them with no problems.

Unfortunately, with them being unfamiliar with the landscape and taking their time, allowed them to be much behind the fleeing barons.

Soon, they arrived at a large area dotted with crashed rubble and scraps, a large engine in the distance and a settlement to the far left of them.

"So, any idea where they went?" Yang asked Blake having lost sight of their targets. "No idea." Blake said looking around. She used her enhanced eye sight to look around and so far, found nothing.

Yang's scroll vibrated and she took it out. Bringing it up, she saw it was both Weiss and Summer on the other end.

"Thanks to Drei, he managed to ping your scrolls to ours so we can know where we are and how far we are to one another. If you don't mind, would you join us at the top of the large engine up to your right?" Summer said. Both seeing where she wanted them to be, the two drove their sparrows to their destination.

The engine they were sent to was large, banners of fallen houses, scattered all around the top. In the center was a large pillar that had a large fan spinning about. Spotting a doorway, the two went through and went up the large ramp. Going up and up and around the entire building, they went to the top where it ended in a large room with a few windows facing out across the place. They saw Weiss sitting on a few boxes nearby while Summer herself had her sniper in her hands on her belly.

"Welcome to the location designation as Sorik's Cut! Home to numerous Cabal, a hive of Hive, and a mine now owned and operated by two of the scorned Barons." Summer said, gesturing to fallen snipers near Weiss. Nodding to her teammates, the WBY of Team RWBY knelt beside Summer and looked through the sights.

"If you look ahead, you'll see a small complex owned by former members of the Cabal Red Legion called Divrik's Mine, info courtesy of the Spider." Summer said, in a tone one would expect a tour guide to give to a group.

The three followed where she was gesturing and indeed, they saw a small complex made out of Cabal and Eliksni housing materials. Residing there was a small group of Cabal loading boxes into a few of their troop transports. Those not loading boxes were armed to the teeth with Psion snipers in blinds all around.

"That's interesting, but what does that have to do with…" Blake began to say.

"Wait for it." Summer said.

They continued watching and from a cave mouth, a bunch of Scorn were dragging out a large cart of boxes from within. At the lead was the baron Arakses gesturing to the Scorn around her to unpack the cart. The Scorn did as she bid and took them out of the cart, working side by side with the Cabal. Arakses then went back into the cave, but not before giving the four a view of the Relic of Knowledge clipped to her belt.

As much as Summer wanted to use the sniper to pick them off, she'd gotten the dossier on the Trickster and her usage of realistic data-clones that looked and acted like the original. She didn't want to take the chance of killing one of said clones then having the entire mine placed on lock-down so soon.

All four of them watched as the Cabal and Scorn loaded more boxes. Soon the ships turned on and they flew away. "Any idea why the Cabal are working with the Scorn and the Barons?" Yang asked her mother. "According to the Spider, the Cabal living on the tangled shore are either deserters from of other legions, escapees from the Prison of Elders or freelance mercenaries. I believe these are from the latter category working for the highest bidder." Summer said.

"The bidder being Uldren Sov and his Barons." Blake said.

"And with him being the new 'king of the Awoken people', the funds from said kingdom are his to do with as he pleases. Even paying these mercenaries to work alongside his Scorn." Weiss said, thinking her late father would have done the same thing.

"And if there are Cabal there, there will be a network working on site. Which means we may have a chance of finding out what is on those transports, what's in the mines, and what Uldrens plans are." Summer said, a plan forming in her mind.

Beacon Academy, Kingdom of Vale

Remnant

In his office at Beacon, Ozpin sat and looked over the reports he was getting from not only from huntsmen around Vale, but from all over the world alongside reports from Guardians.

Who would have thought that the death of the Hunter Vanguard would result in a mass breakout with a number of inmates unleashed on Remnant.

Already, he had received seventeen reports on Hive, Cabal and Fallen escapees. And that was in the last two days. He thanked the Brother Gods that there were no Taken or Vex escapees loose. He also thanked the Brother Gods that there were no Scorn here as well.

Not too long ago he received a report that on Earth in a place called the Twilight Gap that there were a bunch of empty holes where the Fallen that participated in the battle were either buried or left to rot. Guardians sent out on patrol reported the missing bodies and were soon jumped by a score of the original owners of said graves. After contacting a source, they found that these undead Fallen, now called Scorn were courtesy of a being named Fikrul the Fanatic, right-hand to the ringleader of the jailbreak, Uldren Sov.

Now in addition to escapees, Guardians were now dealing with the Scorn. And from what he heard as well, Summer Rose along with Team RWBY are now after Uldren and his barons.

Ozpin prayed that they would make it out without any problems and went back to overseeing the rest of the reports.

He was interrupted by by a call from Glynda. "Headmaster, there's a Guardian here to see you. Says she from the Praxic Order." Ozpin frowned and pressed the button. "Send her up, Glynda." He spoke.

The Praxic Order were a group of Guardians made up of the Warlock variety that not only seek out artifacts connected to the Darkness and keeping them out of others hands, a noble profession he might add, but also seek out corrupt guardians and deal out justice. That last part, not so great in his opinion, but necessary.

He had spent many lifetimes on Remnant, he was most familiar with similar groups, and while their core tenants were just, the means sometimes went too far.

The elevator dinged and he stood behind his desk as the doors opened. The Warlock that stepped out was a female Awoken with a dark green hair tied up in a bun. Two black markings stood out on her pale-blue skin under her eyes. Her Ghost, a pale blue with the Copperhead Supremacy Shell, signifying its standing as a member of the Praxic Order.

"Welcome Guardian…" Ozpin began.

"Guardian Shayura of the Praxic Order." She stated, her voice commanding that made Ozpin almost stand up at attention. He smiled and bid her to a chair in front of him. "Come in. Would you like some coffee? Or tea?" Gesturing to a platter. "I'm afraid this isn't a social call, Headmaster Ozpin, this is an official investigation."

Ozpin sat and turned to face her. "An investigation?"

"Yes. An investigation into the death of Cayde-6 of the Hunter Vanguard."

Ozpin raised an eyebrow in confusion. "Please excuse me, but I was under the impression that the one responsible was Uldren Sov and his Scorned Barons."

"Partially responsible. New evidence suggests he had a partner and I was sent here to gather information on her."

"Her?"

"Yes. Her." She nodded to her Ghost which shown a hologram of the one responsible. Ozpin's eyes widened seeing the figure. "We have gotten evidence that one Summer Rose is in league with Uldren Sov who is responsible for the death of Cayde-6 of the Hunter Vanguard. I was sent to find her, arrest her and bring her to justice!" She said nodding to the image of the Guardian in question.
