Frankie Pov:
"I always find it exciting that each day a new obstacle is presented to me. From passing most of my exams to me participating in a athletic program such as Fearleading! One of the many activities Monster High is known for and has a history of winning competitions against other monster and kaiju related schools, the reason why is because of Cleo's older sister Nefera De Nile. The older sister of the Nile family and queen of the royal family, lately she's been traveling across the world with her parents to learn about how to properly run a kingdom. From what I can tell from Cleo since I text her constantly about how long her family has been ruling, it seems they have a good relationship."
Morning-Behind Monster High
It was a bright morning at the school and right now behind Monster High was an experiment going on which required Junior who was helping out Frankie with mad science class. By the rocks were Clawdeen and Draculaura watching the two working as the assignment was based on alternate means of magnetism such as it coming from living beings.
"Not to ruin your great moments behind a science table Frankie but shouldn't you be the one doing this since you have metal inside of you?"
He asked the reanimated ghoul as they focused on the tools Frankie was using on Junior since it required several jumper cables and metal jobs they collected from the school. The added help from Clawdeen and Draculaura got their interest due to them getting a better grasp of his abilities since they had promised to help him train with it like Draculaura when doing witchcraft.
"Yes. Whenever I lose one of my body parts it comes back to me due to the magnet parts that my parents placed in me, but the purpose of the experiment is to try it and see if the king of kaiju can do the same due to the power in your body."
Frankie explained the experiment that required Junior since the energy was that of a living battery, so it would be interesting to see if it interacted with an alternate power source. The lizard looked unsure if it worked since he actually practiced with his powers but only for protecting himself and intimidation, so this had him concerned for Frankie's safety.
"Are you worried about this Junior? I thought you didn't mind showing yourself to others after our routine with Mrs. O'Shriek."
Clawdeen asked him about being nervous which left the lizard to bite his lip and silent since for a while the more time he spent with the ghouls, the more he's become comfortable with hanging around them and welcomed. While it is embarrassing when they introduce him to new things, he still accepted it but tries to hide it so he retains his reputation of being a headstrong king.
"No! It's just that I don't Frankie to fail this project and me to be the problem, I could find a monster that is perfect for a walking battery. Better yet a kaiju that would make Frankie the ghoul of mad science class."
Responding quickly to avoid the thought and think about Frankie's project since he wanted them to do good in Mad Science class. While Frankie smiled at his honesty it was time to get started on the project, getting Junior in the right position. They quickly handed him several cables while on the other side of them, Frankie placed on their bolts while finding the right place to stand.
"Draculaura? I think it's the perfect time to try out that lighting spell."
Suggesting to her a recent spell the witch in training learned during her time reading the codex, it was used to charge up any item that required lighting. Taking a moment to look in the codex to remember the spell, Draculaura took a breath in before calming her senses and focusing it straight toward Frankie.
"Eyes frightening, end is nigh. Come forth lighting and let it fly!"
Casting her spell along feeling lighting coming from her hands which felt like a rush of air as it went right to Frankie. Feeling powered up and acting as a conductor, they transferred the lighting to Junior as he harnessed it along with his power into one combined energy. His scales glowed radiantly and feeling the surge, watched the Kaiju calming down and his scales slowly losing their glow. He took a moment to look at the three who seemed worried if the experiment would work.
"Do you feel anything?"
Clawdeen spoke out if he was feeling anything happening inside of him and Junior shook his head at the question. Taking a moment to wait he soon felt something hitting him on the leg, it was a pen that came from his bookbag which showed that he was slowly becoming a magnet. Frankie clapped excitedly at how they made Junior into the first kaiju magnet, rushing over to their bag Frankie dumped numerous metal objects to the ground which quickly flew right towards Junior at attached right to his upper body.
"I told you I wasn't worried. Frankie's a genius and I'm the magnet to prove it."
Stating to his werewolf friend that he had faith in Frankie on this working, however, it quickly went awry as more items flew onto him from his friends' bags. Feeling each one latching onto him, Frankie was the last one as they latch right onto his chest and causing the two to fall onto the ground. It felt like a football tackle as the metal from Frankie brought him down fast, taking a moment to look at Frankie who was incredibly close to him. Frankie looked up at him as well could tell how he looked nervous due to the magnetic connection he had to obtain.
"Sorry to say this but your scales are smooth, do you use any type of lotion to help keep it like this?"
Asking him curiously towards Junior as the Kaiju felt nervous with them on top of him Frankie felt the magnetic tension between them going away as well noticing the objects on them coming off. Heading over to help Frankie up, the ghouls saw Junior looking nervous as the lizard reframes from acting weird around them.
"Looks like it's a successful project, Frankie. Good thing I recorded just when it started."
Draculaura announced to Frankie as she presented them with a video of Junior becoming a living magnet and having numerous items landing right on him. With all four of them watching the video, there was a text that suddenly appeared at the top of the screen which seemed urgent since it showed several emojis and exclamation points. Opening the message, they saw it was from Deuce who seem to need help as they were required to meet him right in front of the school.
"Never seen him a text like that before, what could it be?"
Clawdeen asked Draculaura since she knew most of the gossip and school afterlife whenever something happened. The vampire didn't respond since it was unlike Deuce to text her this urgently unless it was important, the only thing she did was grab her belongings and the others went to see what was going on. Passing through the trees and heading to the front of Monster High, they saw numerous students standing out waiting for a special occasion. Noticing Deuce and Mira waving to the group, they made their way past the other students to get to the gorgon and moth girl to see what was happening.
"Just to explain, Cleo grabbed my phone because she broke hers after the sudden news Bloodgood told her. She's been losing it for hours."
Explaining to them the message Draculaura received wasn't from Deuce but from Cleo as they noticed the Egyptian ghoul was breathing in and out trying to not ruin her makeup and compose herself in front of so many people. The four had never seen her like this since Cleo has composed herself in front of everyone and never let anything get to her, whatever was happening was making her frightened like a scarab beetle avoiding a flood.
"This should be good, what exactly can make a mummy so freaked out? Got no more credit cards?"
Junior suggested in a joking manner that earns a small pump from Clawdeen since it seems not a good time to make any jokes, though it was interesting to see what could scare Cleo. The crowd got silent as they saw Headmistress Bloodgood walking out in front of the students making sure all their eyes were on them.
"Attention students, today we are getting a special visit from one of our top students. I want you all to give her a proper Monster High welcome."
Announcing to everyone as they notice from the forest something shining and bright, hearing the marching sounds of feet and traveling towards the school. The students saw a sphinx-styled carriage with it being carried by Anubis guards, strong and silent they were only the servants of the Nile family. Stopping right at the front of the school making a dramatic arrival, they saw the door open with a black and gold carpet sliding towards the students in a royal manner.
"May I present to you all, queen of the family of Nile's. Nefera De Nile!"
Introducing everyone to the guest of honor as everyone saw coming out of the carriage was Nefera De Nile. A graduated mummy from Monster High and currently the queen of the family, not to mention Cleo's older sister. Having vibrant light blue hair and expressing a look that could scare even Bloodgood's horse nightmare, everyone was silent at seeing the older sister coming down from her Sphinx. Heath being the more anxious monster to meet an attractive mummy like Nefera decided to make a first impression on her.
"Greetings your lady ship, since it's your first time coming back. Maybe I can give you a fiery welcoming party?"
The fire imp tried to flirt with her with his smile which resulted in one of the Anubis guards throwing a bucket of water over him for being too close to her and showing her fire. Most of the students chuckled at the sight leaving Rhodey to rush over and help his friend before he embarrasses himself any further. Observing the crowd of new students and looking excited to meet her, Nefera noticed amongst them her sister Cleo trying her best to not be noticed.
"My little scarab!"
Shouting excitedly as she rushed over to greet her sister which caught Cleo by surprise as she didn't expect her older sister to hug her. Everyone took a step back surprised by this sudden change in personality since most of them thought if she was Cleo's sister, she'd share the same emotions of superiority and wealth.
"It's been ages since we've last met, but you know father. Always keeping me training on becoming a queen, I see your already making your kingdom here at Monster High."
Nefera expressed excitement in seeing her sister and learning about the popularity that she's been slowly growing in school for a while. Cleo kept silent and nodded while forcing to grow on her face due to how they had an intense sibling rivalry. Taking the chance, she suggested Nefera meet her friends, especially the new king of kaiju to advert attention away from her.
"Speaking of becoming queen. I'd like you to meet some friends of mine as well as part of the fear-leading team. Clawdeen, Draculaura, Frankie, and lastly Godzilla Junior. The new king of kaiju."
Introducing the four to Nefera as the elder sister greeted them with a smile which made it confusing to them since she seemed to be friendly. Cleo appeared to be screaming on the inside for her being here, taking the moment Nefera respectfully greeted the lizard kaiju while Junior just nodded his head since he hadn't met another monster or ghoul who was royalty.
"I'm sorry about what happened to your father, I'm sure you'll do good by him. He was quite helpful when he met our parents and told us about how the realm would be welcoming to us."
Complimenting him as the Kaiju was speechless at the kind words as it took him by surprise since she was Cleo's sister, the same mummy ghoul who gave Clawdeen the mean girl treatment when they first arrived at Monster High. Before Nefera could continue being nice to the group, she was called by Bloodgood for a matter that she wanted to look into. Saying her goodbyes and followed by the Anubis guards, the students soon began to resume their usual activities while the others stood there seeing Cleo shaking her hand in anger and doing her best to not lose her composure.
"She's your sister?"
Junior questioned Cleo on how it was still shocking to him how nice Nefera was, though it earned a growl from Caesar since it wasn't a time for jokes since it was a personal issue for the fear-leading captain. While the others were curious to see why seeing her big sister could cause the mummy to almost get angry right in front of the school.
Later-Library
With no one in the library and the perfect spot to talk, the group was watching Cleo walking back and forth talking about how Nefera had always been the center of attention within the family. It went on for about two hours just after Nefera's arrival, each of them did their best to listen and not stop the mummy from letting out this closed hostility towards her sister. Taking the opportunity to help the others get a better understanding of the situation, Ghoulia brought out her laptop to show them why Nefera seemed to be popular.
"Most of the school knows about Nefera De Nile, she's traveled most of the populated monster cities. Scaris, Boo York City, and Hauntlywood. She's known for high-class fashion and meeting other powerful monsters in being queen."
Caesar lists several locations where Nefera has been while Cleo is here at the school in continuing training to become queen. Taking a look at the laptop they saw hundreds of photos of Nefera from walking the runway to being shown on billboards in Boo York.
"She's also popular amongst the Kaiju community. When Cleo's father met Gojira and Pandora, they helped style most of the clothing to help us look like everyone else. Gojira offered him fruit grown here that can strengthen even the eldest of beings."
Armor expresses how in return for Cleo's father offering ideas to help Kaiju have style, Gojira offered the pharaoh fruits that could retain his looks and become stronger. The conversation was interrupted by a yell from Cleo which startled everyone as they gave the mummy her full attention since this matter revolved around her.
"Bloodgood brought her in because she wanted her suggestions on how to update the fear-leading team. I've made sure to pick the most graceful and high-spirited ghouls, and the principal thinks I need help. Ha!"
Cleo exclaims like a queen in being doubted about her skills as a captain of the team. The others could see how upset she was and how there had to be a way to show Bloodgood and Nefera that she didn't need any help to perfect the team. Continuing to rant about how she would show off to her sister that her team was alright the way they were, Frankie was slowly getting nervous showing an uncertain look on their face.
"If that's what you're worried about then we should just go over a few practices to show Nefera you're doing alright."
Draculaura offered advice to the mummy as Cleo nodded since if there was a way to show off to people, Draculaura would be the ghoul to help. With the idea at hand and everyone on board, they would head out to the gymnasium to get started. Though Frankie didn't move from their chair not joining the group to practice, Junior was the last one to head out as he noticed the ghoul not looking well. Mira noticed how the king was concerned about how Frankie was acting and decided to see how they weren't looking like their lively self.
"Be careful."
Suggesting this to him since he was good at putting on a show and fighting against numerous Kaiju that want to take a bit out of him. Though talking about feelings was something he was still new to, leaving to see what Cleo had planned for the team. Junior decided to try and talk to Frankie about why they stayed behind letting the others help Cleo.
"I thought you'd lend a hand in this type of situation. I've seen you give your hand to the others when they had trouble with homework."
Junior started with a joke about what was bothering Frankie as the ghoul shook their head believing the others could help out Cleo more than they could. Taking a moment to look above the ceiling giving the school the chance to make this a private talk, the doors suddenly closed softly to make sure the library looked closed.
"Everything is alright Junior; I think they can help out Cleo while I handle the experiment we did together."
Responding to him and avoiding the topic by helping Cleo and focusing on their work with the mad science assignment. Though the Kaiju gave them an expression of not believing it and raised an eyebrow towards Frankie thinking there was more to this than Frankie was leading onto.
"Frankie. We're friends and have talked multiple times about adjusting to school life and learning it along the way, so whatever it is that's wrong you can tell me or the others."
Suggesting to Frankie to tell him honestly about what was bothering them and making them feel upset. While it seemed wrong to share this feeling with Junior and upset him, the reanimated ghoul could tell he wasn't afraid of listening to their feelings. Taking a moment to think about what to say to Junior and not him upset, Frankie was going to share what they were feeling right now.
"When we last visited Clawdeen's home back in the human world I decided to look at what human school life was like from the movies she had in her room. And from what I saw it's about impressing others and always trying to show everyone you are incredible, but with me, I'm still trying to figure out who I am, and I don't want to embarrass Cleo in front of her sister. But in doing so I'm making the others think I'm rude and won't help out since I'm a part of the squad!"
Letting out their emotions to the point where Frankie discharged several bolts of lightning from their bolts and shocked several lightbulbs which exploded quickly. While Junior wasn't fazed by it since he's seen numerous kaiju with projectile abilities that were used against him, though Frankie used theirs to let out pent-up frustration. Taking his chance he walked over to sit by Frankie's side to offer possibly a helpful suggestion to make them not feel so upset with themself.
"Frankie, movies like those aren't to make people feel scared. It's to try and encourage them to be themselves and grow, sort of like myself. I'm afraid every day trying to show my classmates I'm not this powerful Kaiju like my father was. That I'm normal, though I'm still having trouble with it. But not when I'm with you and the others."
Expressing to them how he felt when he began coming here to Monster High since there were others like him with different types of emotions and individualities he hadn't seen before. Frankie, taking a chance to calm themselves looked at the lizard getting a sense of being in the same position they were in right now.
"I know you want to help everyone, and you don't them to fail them. But they'll try just as hard to do the same as well help you. Especially me since you are considerably more intelligent than a lizard who broke a heater with his tail."
Stating to Frankie that even if they felt like they were going make mistakes, their friends would correct them and help Frankie in whatever situation was going on. After listening to his advice and encouragement, Frankie showed a confident look about helping the fear squad in showing Nefera how good the team was for Cleo. Seeing how he helped Frankie, the two of them were about to join the others and help out with a practice that would catch the older sister's attention and Bloodgood along the way.
Later-Gymnasium
Several hours later after the group had focused on their performance, both Bloodgood and Nefera were invited to the gymnasium by Cleo to present them the new fear squad that her sister had led after she left to begin her royal training. The two of them waited patiently to see the fear captain as Bloodgood turn to Nefera who seemed nervous for some reason.
"I've heard from your father that the training has become challenging, bet it's good to take a small break to see family right now?"
Asking the mummy if seeing a performance, her old fear squad would cheer her up which Nefera nodded in agreement since she was curious how Cleo was leading the fear squad. Noticing from the ghoul's room was Cleo in her fear captain uniform with a confident look on her face and staring at the pair with intentions of showing her she made this year's fear squad incredible.
"Headmistress, Nefera. While I had originally planned on doing a performance based on Cleopatra and several Egyptian gods, but one of my friends suggested a new performance we spent several hours on. And I think it be best they had a chance to show their talent."
Explaining the performance that the fear squad were going show which got Bloodgood and Nefera's attention. Turning over to the lights she signaled Caesar who was on standby to dim the lights to set the mood, looking at the doors they saw numerous lights at the entrance and someone standing in the middle with smoke clouding their appearance. Getting a better look at who it was they saw it was Frankie, who was wearing a customize fear leading uniform based off their look of stitch work and thunder bolts around the sides. Looking over to the side was Caesar and Deuce who held a boombox offering support for them as the boys played the system putting on background music.
"Brainiac bionic limbs, I may be sweet and all. But you know I'm the monster you like."
Starting off to sing to the two as they made their way towards the center of the gym along seeing the lights coming onto them. Concentrating on letting the music guide them, Frankie displayed several moves that they learned from Cleo.
"Preppy cool, new to school. Trying to learn all these rules, kinda like being sparked to life."
Smiling towards the two before pointing towards the other doors which opened by the electricity Frankie used on them. Rushing out in a hurry was the others including Clawdeen, Draculaura, Ghoulia, Armor along with Mira and Junior who were on the team helping out Frankie. Circling around their reanimated friend, Frankie concentrated on building up the electricity within them.
"Just like any inventions, I'm pieced together. From new and old parts. I know I'm unique, like an electric work of art!"
Shouting out to the air as well changing the lights above them in a colorful manner. The seven teens suddenly displayed several moves including synchronized dances and them showing off their unique abilities while letting Frankie lead them.
"Frankie's who I am and I'm alive, yeah. Only two weeks old, but I'll surprise ya."
Introducing them to Nefera and headmistress as they couldn't help but smile at the performance and noticing how Cleo was proud of her friends being creative. Taking the chance, Frankie was able to the lights above them to a different color displaying in a black and white manner.
"Don't think of me in black and white. 'Cos all my colors make me bright."
Stating to them before reverting color back onto them as well the others displaying them in a neon like pattern. Clawdeen and Draculaura walked by Frankie's side where they noticed during their performance, they accidentally lost their arms in the excitement they were feeling.
"Being in this world is so electric. When I lose myself, I go magnetic!"
Announcing to their teacher and friends before Frankie bringing their arms back onto their body. Turning over to Mira and Armor, they tossed Frankie several cables where they threw it towards Junior. Doing the same magnet experiment, his body glowed with energy before getting several metal objects attached to him. There he and the others did a frightening dance pattern led by Frankie.
"Yeah, my friends are new and strange. And there's nothing I would change. Well, I'm sparked, sparked to life. It's so cool I could ignite."
Stating out with a smile before noticing several of the objects attached on Junior fell off. The others saw them hitting the ground as they begun to pick it up, Frankie began to look at the numerous items that were brought into the gym.
"Stitched in stone, science grown. Don't even know what I don't know 'Cos everything's so new."
Exclaiming at the stuff that was brought in as they noticed a guitar which came from music. Playing several cords, Frankie shot out a lightning bolt at the top which bounced off the walls. Coming right towards Frankie, Clawdeen and Draculaura pulled them out of the way to avoid getting shocked.
"I love all my ghouls, they are forever my very best friends. When we are together, we are stronger we'll never end!"
Complimenting the fear squad before they all lined up to do several flips coming together forming a pyramid with the ghouls on top and kaiju holding them from the bottom. Moving together while holding up the other fear leaders, they were presenting balance and stance which made Nefera smile in remembrance of her old team.
"Frankie's who I am and I'm alive, yeah. Only two weeks old, but I'll surprise ya."
Telling them before Clawdeen and Draculaura threw Frankie up in the air with the reanimated ghoul doing a spin before being caught by Junior and Armor. Placing them on the ground, Frankie knew the next step would be challenging for the others.
"It's they for me not he or she, 'Cos labels ain't a thing for me."
Explaining what they are before telling the squad to form a name which started from Clawdeen to form the first letter to Junior the last which represented Frankie's name. Cleo, watching her friends doing a name performance for Frankie could tell from Nefera was she was blown away from the presentation on what she taught her team.
"F. R. A. N. K. I. E. Proud of my identity, everything is new to me just finding what I'm meant to be!"
Shouting to the air as the team went to Frankie's side following their moves as the reanimated ghoul did several moves invented by themselves that were similar to their parents walking. Acting like monsters moving back and forth with rhythmic style, they allowed the beat to guide them with Frankie showing a bit of electricity for excitement.
"Yeah, yeah my friends are new and strange. And there's nothing I would change. Well, I'm sparked, sparked to life. It's so cool I could ignite!"
Finishing the performance and doing a pose for the three as each student were out of breath and doing their best to hold their forms. Cleo gesturing them to take a break, the fear squad collapsed on the ground smiling at the show they presented to Bloodgood and Nefera.
"As you can see Headmistress, my squad are more than trained enough with needing any help from my sister. We Niles know how to make things perfect."
Commenting that there wasn't need for any help from Nefera on how to improve the fear squad as she smiled at the hard work that was just displayed for them. However, Bloodgood and Nefera looked confused by the statement since it seemed Nefera's arrival wasn't to see how the fear leading squad was doing. Bloodgood congratulated the others on their performance before leaving them to attend other duties to the school.
"Actually Cleo, I wanted to stop by and apologize to you. I'm sorry for acting mean for the past centuries when we were growing up, trying to always be the better sister. Lately after spending time traveling to different cities and learning about being queen, I need to learn how to show respect to people. And I thought the best way to do that was to apologize to my family, to you."
Nefera explaining her intentions on coming to Monster High and visiting her sister since in the past the two had a sibling rivalry for a long time. Though with how things had changed and her being on her own, the older sister learned about respecting others and learning to become a better person. Cleo was at disbelief about the apology and how she's never seen this side of Nefera, this was just after she left to travel the world with her father and gloating how she'd be the most infamous ruler in their family. Yet now this was a new and different Nefera to Cleo's eyes, taking the moment to accept this she merely hugged Nefera as well expressing sisterly love after years of challenging one another.
"Told ya Frankie, grow and be better people."
Junior reminding the reanimated ghoul back in the library about the movies teaching the viewers about changing and personal growth like being in school. This was a example in Nefera changing from a once up stuck sister to an apologetic one for Cleo to see. Smiling to Junior and the other ghouls, Frankie knew there were many more challenges while staying at Monster High, and they were ready to handle it no matter what it be.
