Chapter 186
A Blinding Predicament
At Terra Falls General Hospital, upstairs in a double bedded room, both Amanda and Vanessa are visited by Zelda and Nakia. Zelda is wearing a pink dress with a flower design and pink comforter shoes and she has her blonde hair down today while Nakia is wearing a yellow tank top, blue shorts and black tennis shoes and her hair is down as well. The doctor in charge of Amanda and Vanessa states that they will be able to leave the hospital very soon since they have begun the healing process. Both girls are laying in separate beds, Amanda decides to say.
Amanda-I guess it was pretty foolish for what we tried to do.
Zelda responds to what Amanda just said with compassion.
Zelda-No of course not Amanda, however it was quite dangerous. But luckily there was a Bright side to things and that is you were just trying to help and you got hurt while doing it.
Nakia-Now you kind of know what we go through but at least we have power on our side.
Vanessa-That is so cool. I just wish we could pay that whacko professor back.
Nakia-Don't worry we are doing everything we can to stop him.
Amanda-How do you know he's back?
Zelda-We don't, we just have a hunch he is since the monster cat attacks.
Amanda-Being a Power Ranger must be major tough.
Zelda-Its no picnic that's for sure.
Nakia-Its actually really dangerous but there are times its fun to kick some major butt.
Vanessa-All I could think about was not letting anymore people get hurt by those beasts.
Amanda-Same here.
Zelda and Nakia look at each other with confidence and smile. Nakia says after she looks back at Amanda and Vanessa.
Nakia-What you just said, both of you, it really does say a lot about your courage and dedication.
Zelda-And honor which is exactly what we are looking for.
Becoming slightly puzzled, Amanda asks.
Amanda-What do you mean?
Vanessa-I think I know.
Amanda-Ok miss know it all im sure you do but I want to hear it from them.
Everyone chuckles a bit. Zelda goes on.
Zelda-Well its almost time for us to move on with our lives, our normal lives.
Nakia-And we were asked to find a successor to take our place as Power Rangers.
Zelda-At first we really didn't think about leaving since we have been protecting our planet for so long but after giving it some thought we think its best to move on when the time comes.
Nakia-Yeah.
Amanda-And you want us to take your places?
Zelda-Yes Amanda I would be honored to choose you as the new Pink Ranger.
Nakia-And I wouldn't mind you becoming the new Yellow Ranger Vanessa. You definitely have the drive to fight evil.
Amanda and Vanessa smile brightly. When they stop smiling, Vanessa says.
Vanessa-I knew that's what they were gonna say.
Amanda says with doubt.
Amanda-Oh you did not.
Nakia chuckles again and says.
Nakia-You see you two already argue like really good friends.
Zelda-And that's a plus when being a Power Ranger.
Nakia-Totally.
At Professor Feliness' underwater base, he has come out of his general sleep and is sitting at his main computer in his command room where he is alerted of a new message, and that message states information about the last battle which doesn't surprise the Professor at all. He orders Cattariaziz which is the voice and brain of his main computer to respond with a message that says the Power Rangers will pay one day and to not give up just yet.
At the new crystal chamber, Lightwing is still in midair asleep that is until the Princess awakens him with a bit of swirling magic that strikes him gently on his beak. He says with great excitement.
Lightwing-Oh my what was that!?
Princess Ariel responds.
Princess Ariel-I had to get your attention Lightwing, you feel asleep without warning.
Lightwing-I wanted to rest up a bit so that I may carry out what you asked me to do.
Princess Ariel-I understand but you must understand that as long as you sleep this beautiful chamber is at the mercy of evil eyes.
Lightwing-Aww I'm sorry Princess Ariel.
Princess Ariel-Do not worry my dear friend.
Lightwing-I have an idea.
Princess Ariel-And that is?
Lightwing-I know two powerful beings of good that may be willing to help.
Princess Ariel-Who?
Lightwing-I won't say right now Princess, I will bring them here.
Princess Ariel-Very well.
Lightwing flaps his wings and disappears into a swirl of glittering magic that soon fades as well.
Back at the hospital, both Nakia and Zelda leave and start walking away. Zelda says.
Zelda-You know I did want to ask Chet why he went to the airport.
Nakia-Why didn't you?
Zelda-I don't know. I just don't feel anything from him.
Nakia-You mean in a way that says he likes you?
Zelda-Exactly.
Nakia-Well maybe you ought to just look elsewhere.
Zelda-Good advice.
As they continue to walk further away from the hospital area they hear an unfamiliar voice coming from behind them.
Psychotia-I got some advice for ya Rangers!
They both turn around and gasp as people start running away from seeing the owner of the voice they just heard. Nakia says in a seriously demanding tone.
Nakia-Who are you!?
They both notice Psychotia looking a lot like the cat monster clawers they fought the other day except she has on a black leather top, a black leather short skirt with a black veil surrounding her lower body and also a black veil covering her mouth area and she has cat claw heels with instead of a normal heel, it's a very sharp claw that has proven to be very worthy in battle.
Psychotia-I am Psychotia and I'm the last thing you will ever see!
Having said that, the evil Psychotia conjures a black smoke cloud and she blows the smoke at the two girls quickly and before they had the chance to get away, the black smoke hits their eyes causing instant blindness. She laughs.
Psychotia-Hahahaha!
Zelda exclaims with fright.
Zelda-I can't see!
Nakia responds in the same tone.
Nakia-Neither can I! Oh no!
They both lose their balance and fall on the sidewalk.
Nakia and Zelda-Ugh!
Psychotia leaps up into the sky and lands next to the fallen girls, she kicks both of them in their stomachs, they groan out as she says with evil delight.
Psychotia-Oh yeah and the advice I had for ya, watch out! Hahaha but you two cant!
Nakia says as she feels around but sees nothing.
Nakia-You won't get away with this. I promise you that!
Psychotia kicks Nakia in the stomach again and says.
Psychotia-Shut up! I am going to put an end to you and your friends!
At the crystal chamber, Princess Ariel senses danger, and when she finds out exactly what is happening she informs Ryan, Kimberly, Chet and Joey. After they get the information they all morph into the Red, White, Black and Blue Power Rangers.
Back at where Psychotia has Nakia and Zelda in a bind, she is about to attack when suddenly she gets a very cold concentrated energy blast striking her back.
Psychotia-UGHHH!
She turns around to see the White Ranger retracting her white snow energy beam back into her snow globe scepter. She yells out.
White Ranger-I didn't think cats liked the cold!
Zelda yells out.
Zelda-We can't see, she blinded us!
The Red Ranger immediately says.
Red Ranger-Oh man! Lets go everyone!
The Power Rangers agree and say,
Power Rangers-RIGHT!
The Rangers leap into the air in cannonball mode in this sequence, Red, White, Black and Blue, almost instantly when they come out of cannonball mode the Red and Black Rangers attack Psychotia while the Blue and White Rangers land next to Nakia and Zelda. The Blue Ranger says to the two girls.
Blue Ranger-We have to get you to the Princess maybe she can help restore your eyesight.
White Ranger-Yeah but we don't know where to teleport.
A voice is heard inside of the White and Blue Ranger's minds.
Princess Ariel-Power Rangers I will guide you. Just teleport.
The White Ranger nods and says.
White Ranger-Alright.
The Blue Ranger takes ahold of Zelda and the White Ranger takes ahold of Nakia, they both stick up their arms and soon all four glow Blue, Pink, White and Yellow, the glowing then forms into streaking beams of light that shoot up into the sky and disappear.
Psychotia uses her claw heels to strike the Red Ranger and Black Ranger in their chest areas, this causes their suits to set off a small amount of explosions that cause pain and knock them both to the ground.
Red Ranger-UGHH!
Black Ranger-AHHH!
Psychotia-Your gonna pay Rangers!
The Red Ranger says as he leaps up and over Psychotia.
Red Ranger-Not in this life time!
He lands on his feet and ends up giving Psychotia a double kick to her back with his right leg extended, then with quick speed he does an awesome floor sweeping swoop that makes her fall on her back. When he stands back up he says.
Red Ranger-Guess cats don't always land on their feet.
The Black Ranger rushes back over to the Red Ranger and laughs at his comment.
Psychotia-Don't count me out just yet Rangers. Hahaha
She disappears.
Black Ranger-Huh? She's gone.
Red Ranger-I don't think so man.
Psychotia's voice is heard laughing when suddenly a large metallic boomerang comes into appearance and hits both Rangers at once.
Red and Black Rangers-UGHHH!
The White and Blue Rangers have made it with Princess Ariel's help to the new crystal chamber with Zelda and Nakia. The White Ranger says.
White Ranger-Its beautiful.
Blue Ranger-Yeah it is.
Zelda-I wish I could see it.
Nakia-So do I.
Princess Ariel-Zelda, Nakia I shall do my best to try to restore your eyesight. \
Swirls of glittering magic appear and surround Nakia and Zelda's eyes but nothing happens, the two lean on their friends and become frustrated.
Nakia-Nothing's happening.
Princess Ariel-Time is needed to eradicate the evil power blinding you.
Back to the fight.
Psychotia has formed back into nothing but a pair of large eyes but this time they are within a cloud of darkness, she hovers over the Red and Black Rangers and strikes them with concentrated lightning power, the effect of this attack knocks the two Rangers down again. Psychotia then produces a power surge that strikes the ground, after the power hit's the ground it opens a hole which allows several clawers to climb out. She says to the two Power Rangers now.
Psychotia-Enjoy Rangers! Hahaha.
The Black Ranger gets back up and the Red Ranger soon follows and they both notice the clawers coming at them in attack mode.
Black Ranger-Oh man those things again.
Red Ranger-We can take em!
The Professor is watching the fight from his main computer, he smiles with evil delight and says.
Professor Feliness-Perhaps she will finish off the Rangers without me having to lift a finger. And if she does that would be even more wonderful because I will be able to get back to my original goal with no inferences!
At the fight.
The Red Ranger punches one cat clawer in its face, but another one from behind him ends up striking him with its claws in his back, he feels the pain but he doesn't give up, instead he turns around and grabs it by its arm and slings it up into the air as hard as he could and I have to say his strength has caused the clawer to fly so high that he materializes his triple blade saber and ends up leaping into the air after it, when gravity takes hold and causes it to fall, the Red Ranger strikes the beast with his saber and when it hit's the ground it explodes.
Psychotia becomes angry and says.
Psychotia-Nooo.
Noticing she is about to strike the Red Ranger with a blast of power from her eyes, the Black Ranger side kicks and punches away two clawers that were attacking him and materializes his weapon, he quickly blasts Psychotia with his hail cannon causing her to scream out in agony and disappearing but not before vowing to return.
Now the Black Ranger turns back to the rest of the clawers and uses the power of his cannon to blast them into an icy oblivion.
The Red Ranger lands and rushes over to his friend to thank him. The Black Ranger responds.
Black Ranger-Anytime man.
Just then two streaking beams of light appear in the sky, one white and the other one blue, then land and form into the White and Blue Rangers. The Blue Ranger says after noticing the evil being gone.
Blue Ranger-You guys took care of it yourselves.
Red Ranger-Yeah, but where's Nakia and Zelda?
White Ranger-They are at the new crystal chamber, Princess Ariel is trying to restore their eyesight.
Red Ranger-You mean they don't have their sight back?
White Ranger-Yeah, its sad, but the Princess is trying, she is using her magic to try to stop the evil power.
Black Ranger-I hope it works.
Red Ranger-Lightwing should be able to help too.
White Ranger-I know but he isn't available right now.
Red Ranger-Where is he?
White Ranger-On a mission the Princess said.
Blue Ranger-We'd better get to the chamber to keep an eye on Nakia and Zelda.
Red Ranger-I agree.
White Ranger-Ryan you and Chet lock on to our teleportation sequence so you will be able to get to the crystal chamber too without any problem.
Red Ranger-Will do.
The Rangers teleport away from the area together.
Back to the Professor in his underwater base. Sitting at his computer disappointed to know that Psychotia was badly hurt during battle. He says.
Professor Feliness-This is rather unwelcome news, to think Psychotia was defeated by not six, not five, not four but two Power Rangers!
Using his newly acquired telepathic powers, the evil Professor contacts Psychotia and informs her not to give up and to attack once again.
Back at the crystal chamber, Nakia and Zelda are lying on two separate crystal casings resting peacefully, while they are at rest, Princess Ariel's magic is still being used to try to stop the evil powers blindness that has settled upon their eyes. The other Power Rangers teleport back to the chamber, they remove their helmets and place them on the casings after looking at their friends for a few minutes. Ryan asks after he notices the glowing power a few feet away from the casings.
Ryan-Any luck Princess?
Princess Ariel-Not yet. I am unsure if my power can erase the dark power alone.
Kimberly-Is there anything we can do?
Princess Ariel-I do not know.
Chet-Must have been some pretty strong power to do this to them.
Joey-I think we should try something though. What ever we do might work.
Princess Ariel-Rangers I understand your concern however you must realize that your energies might do more harm than good to them.
Ryan-How so?
Princess Ariel-The dark power is designed to destroy and your Ranger energies would interact with the dark power perhaps causing more damage. What they need is more calming magic to cause the dark power to fade away without causing more damage.
Chet-That makes sense.
Kimberly-It does.
Ryan-I guess we just have to wait and see if your magic helps them Princess.
Princess Ariel-For now that is best.
Ryan-What about Lightwing's magic? Maybe he can help too.
Princess Ariel-I will ask for his assistance once he returns.
Suddenly a flash of energy starts to pulsate on the crystal chamber's floor, everyone becomes startled. Princess Ariel says.
Princess Ariel-There is danger Power Rangers. The flash of energy will reveal the situation in just a minute.
The Rangers look down as the flash of energy in the floor forms into a clear view of the danger the Princess just spoke about. Ryan says with anger.
Ryan-Oh man!
What they see are lots of clawers attacking people in downtown Terra Falls next to town hall.
Joey-We better flip back into action.
Ryan nods in agreement.
Ryan-Alright Rangers lets go and stop them.
The Rangers grab their helmets and put them back on. The Red Ranger looks at Nakia and Zelda as he speaks to them.
Red Ranger-Hang in there Nakia, Zelda we'll be back.
He then looks forward and shouts out.
Red Ranger-BACK TO ACTION!
A sudden flash of power takes us to the scene of destruction where Psychotia is found orchestrating the entire event while sitting in a tree high above, lots of people in the area are found screaming and running for their lives as the clawers make their way at them.
Flipping into action in cannonball mode, the sequence goes Blue, White, Red and Black. They land on their feet to protect the remaining people running around but something happens, something they don't expect, all of the clawers have disappeared. The White Ranger says questionably.
White Ranger-Huh what happened?
Psychotia begins to chuckle, she then leaps out of a tree with her claws extracted to their maximum lengths and instantly she delivers a clawing strike to each Power Ranger before they know what hit them, they all fall in different directions of the area.
Power Rangers-UGHHH!
Psychotia then says.
Psychotia-Now my beauties, get them! They are separated!
Clawers reappear and attack each Ranger with a vengeance.
Meanwhile back at the crystal chamber Lightwing has returned and he has brought back to very welcomed friends. Myndor and Kastra, two very good beings of power. Myndor no longer his young age has progressed to the age he was when he first brought Power to the Power Rangers, he is also wearing his wizard's robe like usual and Kastra standing next to Myndor looking very beautiful and ageless is wearing a beautiful white gown that looks like it was woven from the angels of heaven themselves.
Having explained the situation Lightwing has convinced both of the good beings to agree to come and help sustain the new crystal chamber for the forces of goodness. They both look at the energy pulsating within one of the crystal pillars.
Princess Ariel-Thank you both for coming here. I know you two have aided the Power Rangers and the force of goodness in the past.
Myndor-Yes and we know of you Princess Ariel.
Kastra-We think it was very gracious of you to create such a beautiful and powerful place as a new base for the Power Rangers.
Myndor-Indeed, although we have been out of reach we have not been out of touch.
Lightwing notices Zelda and Nakia laying in crystal casings just a few feet away, he fly's over to them and expresses great concern.
Lightwing-Oh no what happened to my friends?
Princess Ariel responds.
Princess Ariel-They are at rest Lightwing, they have been blinded by darkness and my magic doesn't seem to be able to eradicate it.
Both of the girls now awaken only to find in horror that they still can't see.
Zelda-I don't believe this, I still can't see anything.
Nakia-Me either, this is totally not good.
Myndor and Kastra float over to the crystal casings. Kastra says with great sympathy.
Kastra-Dear Zelda, Dear Nakia, how you have risked your lives many of times to keep evil from ruling, you both shall have your eyesight once again.
Myndor now says to them.
Myndor-We shall concentrate our magic into one sphere of warm light so that it may dissipate the darkness thus enabling you both to regain your sight.
Zelda-Kastra, Myndor you've come to help.
Nakia-Its nice to hear your voices again, now I just wish we could see you too.
Kastra-That will be made possible very shortly.
Lightwing-I will provide a bit of my magic too.
Kastra-That is wonderful Lightwing.
Back to the fight that is still going on strong near town hall.
A few minutes ago the clawers had the upper hand against the Power Rangers but the tables have turned in favor of the Rangers for they have subdued all of the clawers and turned them into piles of ash that begins to fade away.
Psychotia gets really angry and she fires off a blast of electrical power that is being directed by her hands, good thing the Power Rangers have leapt out of the way, now all of the Power Rangers leap up and form into streaking beams of light that enter the clouds of the sky.. Soon the clouds begin to rumble.. Psychotia looks up and sees the rumbling clouds.
The clouds produce a huge powerful circular energy cyclone.. Inside of the energy cyclone are obvious surges of powerful red fire, white snow, black ice and blue rain.
The cyclone takes Psychotia and twists her body into an explosive oblivion. When it dies down, the energies form back into the Red Ranger, White Ranger, Black Ranger and Blue Ranger.
The Rangers notice no sign of Psychotia so the only assumption that makes sense is that she is gone for good, or is she?
Back to the crystal chamber a sphere of light has appeared in Myndor's right hand, it starts to float as soon as he points a finger towards it, suddenly a flash of power emerges from his finger and enters the sphere, Kastra does the same and Lightwing flaps his wings vigorously which causes a flash of his own power to be sent into the sphere as well and finally from the pillar of light which holds Princess Ariel's energy out comes a flash of power that is taken in by the sphere of light and with this complete it causes the sphere to glow brighter than it was a few seconds ago. Myndor now says as the sphere rises above Nakia and Zelda.
Myndor-Kastra, your spell?
Kastra-I shall begin it now. Once it is complete the sphere of light should restore their eyesight.
Nakia asks in a worried tone.
Nakia-It won't hurt will it?
Kastra reassures her with her response.
Kastra-No rest assured it will be very painless.
Nakia-Oh good.
Kastra-Now it shall begin.
Myndor nods and so Kastra casts her spell.
Kastra-Sphere of light, shine the way, banish the darkness, take it away, we call upon the gods of eternal light, unleash your might and bring back sight!
The spell causes the sphere of light to flash with intensity, that intensity forms into a concentrated golden beam of light that extracts itself from the sphere and enters both Zelda's and Nakia's eyes. Feeling a really warm glow, the girls start to feel at ease as the power from the sphere empowered by Myndor, Kastra, Princess Ariel and Lightwing's magic and aided by Kastra's spell start to slowly dissipate the darkness within their eyes therefore restoring their eyesight to full strength.
Zelda is the first to say in a complete happiness tone.
Zelda-Oh thank you everyone, its so good to be able to see again!
Nakia adds.
Nakia-Thanks, I thought I was never going to get my sight back.
Lightwing-Now you should know better than that especially since you know you have powerful friends on the same side of goodness as you.
Nakia smiles.
Nakia-Yeah you're right Lightwing.
Both Myndor and Kastra smile and the Princess says.
Princess Ariel-We were delighted to be of help after all you have helped rid your planet of such evil threats.
The other Rangers are seen teleporting back to the Crystal Chamber. They remove their helmets and Ryan rushes over to Nakia and gives her a hug because he already noticed that she does have her eyesight back, when they stop hugging he turns to Zelda and says.
Ryan-It's good you got your eyesight back too Zelda.
Zelda nods and smiles.
Everyone stands together as they watch Myndor and Kastra's bodies begin to glow. Kimberly asks.
Kimberly-What's happening to you two? Are you leaving so soon?
Myndor says in a peaceful tone.
Myndor-No my dear, we are here to stay for as long as we are needed.
Joey says.
Joey-That's good.
Kastra-Indeed, we are just becoming one with this beautiful chamber so that evil forces may never know its whereabouts.
Soon a flash of golden power reveals Myndor and Kastra as two forces of pure good energy that becomes absorbed into the two empty pillars of light and doing so causes the pillars to glow brightly with intense light. The Rangers smile at each other when the Princess says.
Princess Ariel-Now the crystal chamber is complete.
Lightwing begins to sob as he says.
Lightwing-Ohh I'm so happy!
Lightwing fly's into Kimberly's hand and starts to slowly cry. Kimberly smiles and says.
Kimberly-Hey its ok Lightwing sweetie.
Everyone smiles as the crystal chamber suddenly becomes a bit brighter than before as everything fades to black.
