Chapter 9: Technology Buddies (Part 1)

Dot and Giacomo are about to kidnap Nemona. Oh dear.

Nemona was taking a stroll around West Province (Area One). She was thinking about what happened between her and Penny the other day. She can not forget about the monster that brutally punched her out of spite after that argument in the bathroom of that restaurant.

AT LEAST I DON'T OBSESS OVER STUPID EEVEELOTIONS ALL DAY!!!

She starts breathing a bit heavy in a sense of an anxiety attack. She is basically in trauma for what Penng did.

You want to play that card? Fine...

Her eyes feel faint and looked like she couldn't see anything but an empty void. Ash hides behind the bush watching Nemona suffer. He's not following her to stalk her. He's doing this to check on her and to care for her mental health. Unfortunately, Nemona looked like she was going to start losing it... Feeling threatened by physical contact did that much damage to her.

LET'S PLAY!!!

Nemona put her hands on her head and starts shaking and breathing. She falls down to her knees, looking down at the ground. The anxiety and dread was eating away at her. Why is Nemona having these issues all of a sudden? Did something horrible happened in her past? Maybe PTSD? Maybe something horrific?

Whatever it was, there's got to be an explanation. For now though, Nemona gets hugged and comforted by a mysterious person.

It turned out to be Ash.

"Nemona. Look at me. Come on, look at me."

Nemona looks up at Ash.

"There you go. It's okay. It's okay. I got you."

Nemona was calming down for a bit, but it sort of isn't enough to get rid of her panic attack.

"We're going to try taking deep breaths, okay? You can dk that, right?"

Nemona nodded her head.

"Okay. Now, breathe in... and breathe out..." Ash uses breathing techniques for Nemona to follow.

And she has followed it well by inhaling and exhaling at calming rates.

"There you go... Let's do it again." Ash inhales and exhales again.

Nemona follows it. It seems to be working. Ash is starting to get the hang of being an expert with people who experience anxieties.

It's working! Okay, one more just for good measure.

Ash inhales and exhales one more time. Nemona follows the last technique.

"Thanks Ash... I'm okay now."

Ash let out tears for Nemona for a brief moment since he hates to see her suffer like this. "Poor Nemona! Your going to be okay! Penny won't hurt you, okay?!"

Nemona chuckled quietly. "Your getting emotional again. That's not the Ash I know..."

Ash clears away all of his tears. He has the thought of not being there for Nemona once Penny decided to hurt her.

"And no one likes a sad Nemona!", he says with a very worried expression. "Your so sad. I want to at least help, okay?"

Nemona smiles a bit for Ash, trying to fight away her sadness. "It's nit your fault. It's mine."

"Nemona!", Ash gasped. "It's not! You are never supposed to be treated like trash! What Penny did to you, she needs to pay. I promise I'll help you make her pay. It's my fault. I should've stayed with you... I'm the one who's sorry!"

Nemona was listening to Ash blaming himself, but was also lost in her thoughts as well.

"Nemona... did you hear me...?"

"Oh... sorry... it's just... I haven't ever told you aboyt what happened when I was 12..." she sighs and raises her head up at the sky. "I am a strong trainer like everyone else but..." she looks down and closes her eyes. "Everything wasn't great when a strange Mewtwo attacked..."

Ash stomach dropped to shreds full of fearful terror. A strange Mewtwo? That's impossible.

"It was a Shadow Mewtwo... a shadow Pokémon invasion happened at my school... and there were lots of shadow Pokémon attacking. Students and teacher were panicking for minutes... and that kept going until... I decided to go outside and stop the shadow Pokémon... but then what happened was the unthinkable by the Legendary Mewtwo..."

Ash was shaking his head in horror? Where was Nemona going with this story? "Nemona? What did Shadow Mewtwo do?"

"He-... did the same thing... that Penny did. But accept, I had a Shadow Ball shot to my face. And that's when... I... had the sane thing..."

"A NOSE BLEED?!", Ash yelled, freaking out.

"Yeah. I called for helped. Or at least I've tried to... but a random normal Mewtwo saved me... and the clashed in a great battle. That battle was over, but Shadow Mewtwo is unfortunately still alive. And I couldn't stop thinking about how Penny assaulted pulled a trauma trigger to my head... But Shadow Mewtwo did far more worse than a punch..."

Ash put his hand on her shoulder. "You need to rest. Your trauma made you go through a panic attack."

Nemona laughed for a few seconds. "No. I'm fine... you don't need to worry." She lies because she doesn't want to cope with what she's dealing with.

What was she saying? Nemona wasn't thinking clearly. What does she mean she's fine?

"Nemona, what?! Your not fine! After telling me that story, you definitely need sleep!"

Nemona was having a bit of irritability from Ash. "I said...! I'm fine, Ash." She starts having a mental breakdown attitude. "All I want is that Shadow Mewtwo dead. DEAD. Can you not understand? Or are you to dumb to see that I was threatened by an evil creature we know nothing about?!"

Ash took a step back from Nemona's sensitive attitude problem for a second. "Woah! Nemona?! I don't know where this came from, but I'm trying to help!!!" Ash stopped himself right there however, because he sees that Nemona is experiencing negative mental symptoms of trauma from her past. "Oh wait... I get it... your angry. It's okay to be. But not okay too much... just calm down, okay?", he speaks to her calmly.

"I WILL NOT! This I will not calm down! Your telling me to get some sleep over my past?! What, you don't want me to be alive anymore?! I thought we were friends! More like almost lovers!!!"

Ash doesn't know where Nemona is getting this from, but it's hurting Ash feelings like a hurting the feelings of a cute Pokémon. "Nemona. I know your upset... just breathe... Also, that's not what I'm saying at all..."

"THEN WHAT ARE YOU SAYING, YOU STUPID ARROGANT POKEMON MASTER??!!"

Nemona freezes for a minute. She definitely screwed up now. But how does Ash reacts.

He just smiles because no matter how many insults, harsh words, minor hurtful things get thrown at him, he still wants to be the best, but also the best for everyone, like no one ever was. "Nemona... I know you didn't mean that. And I know your sorry. You can take a break from going for a walk. You know that, right?"

Nemona starts tearing up. She wants to give Ash a hug, but what she said must've made her think she hurt Ash, so she feels hurt inside too. "I DON'T DESERVE YOU!" She runs away crying.

Ash frowned, but only this time toughened up and kept his tears from leaking out. He wasn't going to cry over things like this anymore. He must learn patience with people who are experiencing things after an eventful past. First Nemona, now Liko. He probably couldn't even imagine what horrifying past events Arven, Zinnia, and Penny might have, that is if they have any. He thinks for a bit while hopping onto Winged King, who came out of its pokéball.

Poor Nemona. You DO deserve me. But you don't deserve pain and stress.Things will get better for all of us. I promise...

Liko is sitting in the living room of the airship, watching TV after eating all of her potstickers. She is in her Shiny Umbreon onesie, feeling relaxed and comfortable while she is also alone on the airship.

"Man those dumplings were good. Wow, I'm home alone in the airship while Friede and the gang are out finding treasure in Area Zero. But at least I get the whole airship to myself."

Her Rotom Phone went off. An unknown caller was contacting her in Facetime form. That made Liko think that something suspicious was going on. She answered the unknown contacter.

"Hello...?", she said in a confused voice. She saw a person in a red hoodie. However, they were hiding their face a bit through the hood of the hoodie.

"Oh hi! Sorry to call you unexpectedly but-" Then the unknown caller freaked out in happiness when she saw Liko wearing her Shiny Umbreon onesie. "AAWW!! Your so cute!!! That onesie is adorable!"

Liko blushed ftom the compliment given to her. "Huh? Oh... you really like it, huh? Thanks." But then her mind went back to the important matters at hand. "Wait a minute, no! Who are you?"

"Oh oops! I'm so sorry...! To make things more comfortable for you, I'm Cassiopeia! And me and my crew, Team Star, are a huge fan of you."

Liko's heart shimmered of surprise and her eyes felt like twilight sparkles. She has fans? Since when? Nobody has seen her around that much before as much as the legendary Ash Ketchum himself.

"Your a fan of me? But how, and why?", she wonders, scratching her head.

"Well... you've been through a lot of heck. Me and my team have too. We're basically an inspiration of you. We know how you feel, Liko! If you join us, you can be leader of Team Star! I can be your second in command. What do you say?"

She was flattered that Cassiopeia offered her this position. But what would The Rising Volt Tacklers say? "I'd say I acknowledge joining you. But I would have to speak with my Rising Volt Tacklers family first. Including my two friends I have."

Cassiopeia understood Liko's terms of decision. "Hey, I understand! I'm glad your tempting to join. But if things are stressful, you can call, okay?"

Liko nodded. "Okie dokie!"

"Oh and by the way, what does your pendant do?", she asked Liko.

Liko looked at the pendant then back to Cassiopeia. "My pendant actually does many things. It summons Terapagos the legendary of Paldea, it saves me from threats by forming a prismatic shield around me, oh wait...! It also turns people into crystal zombies! But I need Terapagos for that. I caught him and he's my partner now anyways."

"Fascinating! Crystal Zombies?! Oh this gives me an idea! You can use Nemona as your puppet once we kidnap her for you."

Liko's face went akward when Cassiopeia said that name out loud. "That girl who has something in common with that Ash Ketchum person?!" Her face went into an evil smirk" I mean... I could do that could I...? I could break him immediately if I had to! Why didn't I think this before...?" She snickered mischievously. "Cassiopeia, you genius. Your brilliant!"

"Thanks! He-he-he-he...! I'm definitely a master mind!" Cassiopeia's voice sounded shaky and nervous when she saw the pendant shining and ringing a bit of a strange harmonious noise.

"Well, it was nice negotiating with you, Cassiopeia. Bring me Nemona and I shall be convinced in joining the cult of Team Star." She salute poses to Cassiopeia. "I know you won't let me down. Good luck on your progress. Liko out."

Liko hanged up the call. This gave Cassiopeia the opportunity to put down the hood from her hoodie. It was actually Penny and she's in her room, sitting on a chair.

She can't believe what she's doing. But if it's to get Ash to love her more than Nemona, she must do whatever it takes. But she now also understands Liko and why she is the way she is. Something about her srceams she needs actual help. The pendant must be forcing her to do her dark deeds.

"Poor girl isn't a jerk. She's just missed understood. What am I doing? What if Ash hates me?! I got to figure something out. Something fast! But what?!" Penny was shaking a bit. She doesn't know what to do. Then she starts angsting. "All I did was punch Nemona... but now I do this...?! Is this really how I'm going to be...?! A villain? I don't want that! I don't want to hurt Ash, I don't want to hurt Nemona... And okay yes, I don't want to hurt Liko either because I understand her now! She wants to break free but she can't! Arven keeps saying it's the pendant! And it IS!"

She breaks down in tears and covers her face. She begins to sob and sniffle. "I'm not a bad person..." But then she stops sobbing and makes an alternative for herself.

She looks at the photo of Ash in his Naranja Academy uniform smiling in his she found from a merchandise web. "But I can be. Only for a little while longer. Because I love you Ash. I love you too much." She blows a kiss and places her fingers on the photo of Ash, basically touching his face.

Dot and Giacomo were hanging out with each other at his Team Star base at West Province (Area One). The Segin Squad are building booby traps and Giacomo and Dot are watching their progress.

"I can't believe you and I love technology!", said Dot in enthusiasm. "Except I'm all about technology and or computer systems and your a DJ pilot of course."

"Yeah. Making music is my life. Have you ever made music before?"

"Heck yeah!", Dot answered. "I make music for my intro and outro to my livestreams. I do it to avoid copyright of borrowing others music."

Giacomo chuckles a bit. "I get how that feels. Copyrights are the worst."

Giacomo's Rotom Phone rings. He starts panicking but remains calm. "Oh shoot! It's my boss: Cassiopeia!"

"Uh oh..."

"Nah, don't worry. Why don't you borrow my computer to make music. You seem bored."

"Alright!" She runs and climbs up the sleeping Starmobile of Giacomo's to go and use his computer. He answers his Rotom Phone. "Boss! Your here!"

"So... about Liko..."

"She actually accepted the offer?"

"Yeah."

"Music-tastic!" He put a thumbs up.

"Has your squad been busy with those traps yet?"

"Yep! Nemona should be here any minute. If not, we switch to that plan B you mentioned."

"Good.Please don't fail. Liko is looking forward to this. She sounded really happy on our call. We have got to make a good impression!"

Giacomo gulped, not knowing how serious this was. He then went on confidence mode to not worry about anything. "You got it! We won't let you down, boss! Besides, her friend Dot has got me covered."

"Oh really?! Amazing! I'm glad you- HANG ON, WHAT?!" Cassiopeia was getting anxious that Dot was there with him.

He nervously laughs. "Yeah... she was taking a walk around here and she found my base. The rest of our crew did say she was a freind of Liko's after all. I was expecting Roy, but he's probably busy."

"EXPECTING ROY??!!"

Giacomo shook up and fell to the ground. His eyes pierced of dread and stress. It felt like he was being yelled at by a raging female Pyroar. And it did not feel good at all. It's horrifying to hear how outraged Cassiopeia is. "Madam! I-i-is it because I-i-i didn't tell y-you?! Because, if so I-i-i d-didn't me-mean to-!"

"Your supposed to tell me things like this! Do your realize if you put Dot in danger, LIKO WILL BE UPSET?!"

"U-understandble...!"

"DO NOT FAIL! PLEASE!!! THIS IS IMPORTANT!!!"

"I won't fail! I-i-I promise! I mean, she's helping me make music while we wait for Nemona! We-we've been hanging out, I mean... she feels comfortable here and she also loves technology! I-i mean I'm not that much of a computer nerd but with music I am! We-we're basically technology buddies!"

"SHUT UP!!!"

He froze and quivered rapidly.

"Do you understand, how upset I am right now for you not telling me?!"

"I mean... I understand that... We are a inspiration of Liko's doings after all..."

"Do you want us to lose that?! Do you REALLY want us to lose that inspiration?"

"No! Of course not! I promise! I-" Giacomo took a deep breath before finishing what he was trying to say to Cassiopeia. "Look, I know why your yelling at me. Your stressed out a bit. We've all been a fan of Liko and her friends for a while when they frist came to our academy. They were bullied like we we're practically. After that, they would want vengeance, and we want the same too. But you can't just let thus whole, impressing her thing get to your head to much. It's unhealthy! And it'll take advantage of you practically and- Look, I should've told you sooner. But Dot is here, and she's becoming a great help. She's helped a lot!"

"Fine. As long as she's happy, we're happy. Do whatever you want. Just think about what your doing before things spiral down hill. Good luck, Giacomo."

Cassiopeia hangs up.

Giacomo sighs sadly. A Segin Squad member pokes Giacomo's shoulder. Giacomo turns around.

"Is everything okay with Cassiopeia, boss?", they asked.

His mouth curls up into a smile for a bit. "Everything's fine, man. Just a bit of complications. Say, why don't you tell the others you all deserve a break. It looks like you all finished building your traps for our victim."

"You got it, boss! Hey everyone...!"

Giacomo looks up at Dot on top of his Starmobile playing music with her headphones on onto his computer. He gives in to more of a smile. "I won't let you down. Same with Cassiopeia."

Nemona walks down the pathway and suddenly spots the entrance of another random Team Star base.

Two Segin Squad members are guarding the entrance.

"What a beautiful afternoon, huh?", said Segim Squad one.

"Indeed it is", Segim Squad two agreed.

"Hey, who's that girl coming over here?"

Nemona walks up to the entrance and finds the two Segin Squad members guarding the gate.

"Another Team Star member to defeat. This will be fun." Nemona stops, thinking that Ash might be able to help her out.

Should I contact Ash? Or maybe Juliana and Florian too? Nope! I got this! I need to get back in my personality again. And that's Pokémon Battling! Not only that, this will definitely toughen me up to get payback on Shadow Mewtwo.

"Alright! Floragato, come on out!"

"Flora!"

"I'll go alert the others! You take her on!", said Segin Squad two.

"Right!" They send out a Pokémkn from its pokéball. "Go, Sableye!"

"Saybleye!!"

"Surrender, or suffer the consequences!", Segin Squad one yelled.

"Never! Team Star will be brought down immediately! Floragato, use Quick Attack!"

Florgato runs towards Saybleye and headbutts it with Quick Attack, knocking it back towards a gate. Saybleye gets back up.

"Are you alright, Saybleye?!"

"Sayble!!!"

"Alright, then use Shadow Ball!"

"Saybl...!"

"Get ready to dodge it...!", Nemona commanded Floragato.

"EYE!"

"NOW!"

Floragato dodges Shadow Ball.

"Okay, now use Leaf Storm!"

Florgato flares a Leaf Storm at Saybleye. The Leaf Storm begins to do damage.

"You think that's going to work?! Your mistaken! Use Fire Punch!"

Saybleye goes for the punch at Florgato with Fire Punch.

"FLOR...!!!"

"FLORAGATO! NO!", Nemona panicked.

Floragato slowly gets back on its feet but it also has a burn mark on its face.

"Floragato?! Oh no! You've been hit!"

"Flor!"

"Okay, let's wrap this up with another Fire Punch!"

"Saybllll...!!!"

"Floragato, quick, use Slash!"

Floragato slashes Saybleye with its claws.

"EEEEYYYEE!!!"

"What?", said Segin Squad one in shock.

"Now, time for Acrobatics!"

Florgato does flips while kicking and scratching Saybleye in a form of Acrobatics. Saybleye has now fainted.

"No! My Saybleye! Your gonna regret that!", says the Segin Squad one memebr before running back to the base by climbing up and through the gate.

Nemona gives Floragato a Super Potion to heal. "Here, drink this."

Floragato drinks the Super Potion.

"You did excellent. Now return." She recalls her Floragato.

She then decides to follow the Segin Squad member and also climbs through the entrance gate. She then arrives at the base. But once there, she sees Giacomo and Dot standing there.

"Well, well, well. If it isn't one of Ash's pathetic friends.", said Dot rudely.

"Dot! Your working with a Team Star member?!"

"Exactly!", Giacomo answered. "And you just fell right through one of our tra- Huh?!"

Giacomo, Dot, and Nemona look to see that Nemona's Pawmo destroyed all of the traps and the Segin Squad's Pokémon with its Pokémon moves.

"Paw-Pawno!"

"OH COME ON!!", said Giacomo.

"Don't worry.", said Dot confidently. "Lucky for me, my mother helped me catch ohe of my favorite Dark Types. Malamar, use Hypnosis on Nemona and Pawmo!" Dot summons her Malamar.

"Use what?!", said Nemona, being afraid.

"Mala-Mala!"

Malamar warps Hypnosis against Nemona and Pawmo.

"NO! AAAAAAHHH!!!" Nemona screamed for dear life. She then started getting drowsy.

"Ash... I need... i need... your... he...lp..."

"Paw...mo..."

Dot and Giacomo high five eachother. "Excellent work by you!", Giacomo supported.

"Thank you. Now let's tie her up.", saud Dot.

"Sounds like a plan to me."

Ash's Pikachu saw all of this and rushes back to Ash for help.

As Pikachu told Ash everyone, just as he was walking around West Province (Area Two), he was not happy to hear Nemona getting kidnapped.

"SHE WAS KIDNAPPED?! By another Team Star member?! Oh my gosh, this is all my fault!"

"Pika...?"

"What if they brainwash her into a mindless zombie?! What if they turn her into a puppet?! What if they torture her or worse, interrogate her?! WHAT IF-?!"

"PIKA- PIKA!" Pikachu jumps up and slaps Ash in the face. "Pika-pikachu-pi-pika-pi!" He stops him from spiraling out about what might happen to Nemona.

"Thank you Pikachu. I'm sorry. Your right, I can't just think about what they're going to do. I need to think of what you and I and the rest of my team are going to do."

Ash walks back and fourth as a means to help him think. "How I'm I gonna save Nemona from that base. I need Juliana, Florian, and Clive for this. Especially Cassiopeia. And I can use my Pokémon team! But if you confirmed to me that Dot is there, Pikachu, then... I'm going to need a little bit of extra help."

Ash tries thinking very hard. But can't think of anything.

"Oh forget it though. I can't use anyone else..." He sits down with a sad look on his face.

Pikachu frowned for Ash. "Pika? Pika-pika..." He sits on Ash lap, comforting his partner.

"Thanks Pikachu. But if I was only there to protect Nenona from Penny, or found Nemona after she had enough time to be given space, none of this wouldn't have happened in the first place." He took a very sad sigh.

But then, just moments later, a psychic powered portal opened near Ash and Pikachu. They both get up and take a peak at it.

"Are my eyes decieving me? Or is that a portal?", Ash wondered.

"Pika...?" Pikachu was thinking what Ash was thinking when seeing this portal.

Then the portal dispersed and brightened near Pikachu's and Ash's eyes that they cover there eyes from the brightness.

"So bright, Pikachu!"

Then, as the brightness ends, they see a white colored Pokémon that had a purple tail and belly color. It was standing on two legs with two arms. It's ears looked like a cat.

The pyschic Pokémon says, "I would be happy to help you free your new friend of yours. Besides, it's been a long time, hasn't it. Ash Ketchum." It talked to Ash in telepathy.

Pikachu gasped in suprise and then fainted.

"M-me-mew-..."

Ash was struggling to say words after being shocked of an old friend that he's meeting once again. It's the Legendary Pokémom that he's been meeting around some regions for a quite some time now. And now he's seeing him again. That hybrid Pokémon of Mew again. His name and even what he looks like was familiar to Ash.

He's the one the call... the new species of Mew.

"Mewtwo? Is that you?"

Mewtwo is here! Part 2 of Chapter 10 is soon before Christmas holiday folks! And also... speaking of which, you guys might wanna get your popcorn ready because...

SONIC MOVIE 3 IS ALMOST HERE!!! AND GUESS WHO'S ALSO GOING TO BE IN THEATERS WITH FAMILY TO WATCH IT! That's right... ME!

But anyway, prepare some Christmas gifts, and let it snow. Because soon in a couple of weeks, it'll be time for some Christmas fun.
