Chapter 1: Fall and Rise of a Monster
Hell, the home of the damned filled with the worst of humanity a place of Murder Corruption and Sin. Heavan the home of the pure filled with the best of the best where all are Happy Free and Hot these two realms couldn't be more different, or so it's said. While Heaven appears to be a paradise under all the pure and kindhearted ascended lies a system of bias and prejudice
Heaven for centuries has hated the Hells and all its inhabitants and in fear of them rising up Heaven sends extermination angels to slaughter the demons by the hundreds. This cycle of slaughter continued for millennia but that was soon to change because during one fateful extermination Heaven had killed the wrong person and create their greatest enemy, a sinner raised in pain and lived through violence and would come to be the Bain of Heaven itself and his name was Dante.
Dante's story begins where all sinners do the human realm, born Donovan Jack Silverman, Dante's life was troubled the moment he was born not having or knowing his father or even how he was conceived and his only parental figure, his mother Nora was always very distant and cold toward him their relationship is best described as we live under the same roof as she only ever did was the bare minimum when it came to food and needs as she most days just pretended he didn't exist.
However, there was one positive thing in Dante's life the only person who mattered to him, his twin sister Elena the two had an inseparable bond from birth whenever one fell the other was there to pick them up after they finished laughing of course because even when they had nothing, they at least had each other which became even more true when one day on their twelfth birthday their mother left without a word and never came back.
The twins were alone forced to fend for themselves doing whatever they could to get by usually by petty theft and scams Elena was the brain, Dante was the brawn though most weren't pleased with getting their wallets stolen which often forced Dante in to fights in order to protect Elena, but he never complained the two came to enjoy the thrill of the chase and Dante got very good at fighting back life may not have been easy but it was good.
The two lived like this for years and were eventually found and joined a gang lead by a very charismatic man named Lance, things finally getting better for the twins the gang was small but very close and treated the two like family and life was looking up for the twins but nothing good last forever.
The gang was small but grew to be infamous due to the bold and capable leadership of Lance who despite being a little head strong always put his friends first which Dante always respected as he was always doing the same for Elena and there for felt a strong kinship with Lance,
The two would quickly bond and form a very strong friendship. But the gang's life of crime would catch up with them after many years the police found the gangs hideout and shot it up without warning in mere seconds most of the gang was killed what was left did their best to fight back but were very outgunned so what Dante, Elana, and was left of the gang ran for their lives as Lance stayed to by time but while running Elena was shot though the back and was gravely unwilling to let his sister die Dante carried her out the building and into a nearby forest running as fast as his legs could carry by the time Dante was safe in the forest it was too late as Elena had died in his arms tears rushed down his face as he screams in rage but he is forced to put his pain on hold as he is quickly surrounded by a pack of wolves
Dante would not go down quietly standing to protect his sister one last time as the wolves rushed him standing his ground fighting them off doing his best with nothing but his bare hands eventually after killing two of them the rest ran off in fear but Dante's whole body was mauled and bloody and would quickly succumb to his wounds falling to the ground have just enough life to look at his sister one last time.
Then Dante woke up with a gasp lying on the ground in an unfamiliar city where the sky was red, and there were monsters walking the streets "What the fuck... well, this is certainly different" he says confused as he gets to his feet when he does, he sees himself in a window only it's not him what he sees is a tall anthropomorphic wolf with black fur as dark as the night, his blue eye's now a silver shade, and several gray marks starting from his chest tracing to his torso and ending around his lower back. "Huh better than being dead I guess" he says optimistically
Tell he remembers Elena and becomes upset. Then he hears her voice calling his name "Dante you here you better be down here with me because there's no way you got it to Heaven, and I didn't" the voice called out Dante now for sure the voice was Elena "Over here Elena" Dante yelled back and the two quickly reunite.
Elena looked much like she did with raven black hair and short stature the only real difference was her new set of horns red skin and large X in the place she'd been shot "Finally how the here did you live so much longer than me it's total bullshit seriously you were twice my size how did they miss such a big ass target" Elena continued ranting about how her death until Dante suddenly pulled her in to a hug causing Elena to stop her rant "I thought I'd never see you again" he told his sister with tears in his eyes as she returned the embrace "Yeah I'm glad to see you too" she says with a smile
"But not happy to see that you SOMEHOW got even taller like WTF I'm older by a full hour and your three times my size" Elena says in a huff breaking the embrace "I told you not to drink all that coffee but NOOOO you didn't wanna listen" Dante replied condescendingly "We've been over this that just an old wives tale you over sized walking carpet" Elena retorts Dante getting a laugh from her carpet comment "Well back on topic what happened and where are we" he asks "Oh yeah we're dead and in Hell" Elena says bluntly "I'm sorry the fuck" Dante says flabbergasted "I know that's what I said but yeah Heaven and Hell are real and we got sent down not really a surprise I guess but still kinda sucks" Elena answers "Well alrighty then let's split up and see if we can find a place to hold up yeah" Dante says just accepting the situation. "Bitchin meet back here in hour" Elena agrees and the two head off to find shelter
Dante wonders around for a bit taking in his new surroundings seeing the bustling city of the pride ring seeing sex stores, cannibals, violent killings, and people walking around butt ass naked everywhere he looked "Huh I don't what I was expecting from Hell" Dante says to himself and continues walking until he come one of the only store that doesn't have dildos in its front window and enters.
The place is empty seemingly devoid of life "Hello anyone in here" Dante asks then hears rustling from behind the desk and a little imp pops up over it "HOLY SATAN SOMEONE CAME IN HAHAHA" the imp said with giddy doing his best to make himself presentable "ahem welcome to the post office my name is Lenny how may I assist you today" Lenny smiled as Dante questioned why hell needed a post office but digressed "Yeah hi I'm-" Dante was cut off by the sudden loud ringing of a bell from outside "AAHHHH IT'S HAPPENING QUICK BARRICADE THE DOOR" Lenny panicked "WHOA why what's going on" Dante asked the panicking imp "THE EXTERMINATION IT HAPPENS EVERY YEAR THE ANGELS COME DOWN FROM HEAVEN TO KILL US ALL" Lenny screamed "Kill us but aren't we already dead how does that work" Dante questions "YOU DON'T GET IT IF AN ANGEL KILLS YOU YOUR SOUL IS EREASED AND YOU'LL BE NOTHING BUT A MEMORY" Lenny says still screaming upon hearing this Dante only thinks of one thing "Elena" he says rushing out of the place to look for his sister
When Dante runs out, he looks up and see hundreds maybe thousands of angels descending from the red sky wielding spears, swords, maces, and many other kinds of melee weapons "Oh shit" Dante exclaims running as fast as he can as the angels rain down and start killing every demon, they can in mere moments the ground is littered with corpses
Dante keeps running calling out for his sister which soon drew an angels attention and charged at Dante with its spear Dante ducked barely avoiding the attack and kept running the angel giving chase Dante dodged and weaved the angels stabbing thrusts getting sliced and poked a few times but still kept running the angel rose into the air and quickly dove back down with a stab Dante jumped into a forward roll managing to avoid the attack and ran into a nearby alley while the angel unstick its weapon catching his breath Dante looked down the alley seeing familiar looking body his heart sank and his mind filled with dread as he began walking to the body kneeling down and slowly turned it over to reveal Elena dead with a knife stabbed in her heart.
The same day Dante his sister dies in his arms he gets reunited with her and has a chance to start over and not even an hour later she gets killed the only person who truly mattered to him, who was always there for him, who no matter how bad things got they would be okay as long as they had each other and she was taken away from him not once but twice Dante can only cry as he cradles his sisters body in tears
The angel once again appears and emotionlessly raises its spear to kill the grieving Dante before it can strike Dante, he grabs the spear mid thrust standing to face his attacker "Why... Why can't I mourn my sister why must every time something good happens something comes and ruin it why can't I just live a normal life with my family... why WHY WHYYYYYYYYYY!"
Dante roars in rage with an explosion of power bursting from Dante the angel's weapon began melting from Dante's rage and the angel was from was blown out from alley from the intense power as Dante roared the weapon was melted and seemingly fused to his hands and forearms and before the angel could recover Dante launched himself at the angel and in an instant punched the angels head into golden paste the attack creating a massive shockwave getting many of the angels attention Dante growled and snarled like a wild animal the angels quickly stopped their slaughter and all charged toward Dante who responded with a furious roar and charged it to the hoard.
Twenty-four hours later the extermination comes to an end the angels begin to return to Heaven or what's left do as Dante stands atop a pile of hundreds of angel corpses his black fur drenched in so much of their golden blood, you'd think he was golden as he stands upon them breathing heavily as people begin to come out of hiding and see the carnage that has unfolded they stare in awe at Dante for no one had ever killed an angel before and now the ground was littered with their bodies but before the on lookers could say a word Dante let out one last raging roar and jumped away instant with a massive sonic boom that shook the city as Dante disappeared.
Sometime later the news began broadcasting all throughout Hell "Good morning, Hell I'm Katie Killjoy and boy to we have some news for you today because during Hell's yearly extermination something unparalleled has happed as hundreds of angels have been killed their bodies all over pride and all of which was said to be done by a single sinner demon this mysterious angel killer was last seen standing atop a pile of angel corpses before quicky disappearing and hasn't been seen since which has all of Hell asking who is this sinner, where is he now, and is he single" Katie continues to report the news while unbeknownst to the news crew Dante was watching from a far hiding himself under a hooded cloak "Not even in your dreams lady" Dante says to himself and walks away returning to the post office he was in before the extermination
"What oh it's you again nice to see you survived" Lenny said with a smile "Right back at ya Lenny" Dante returned "Hey do you know I place with a roof I could stay" Dante asked "Huh yea sure there's a place just down the street to the right" Lenny answered "Thanks" Dante said and turned to leave "Hey I never got your name" Lenny asked "It's Dante. Dante Inferno"
