Author's note: First of all, thank you for reading. This is my first fic so feedback is more than welcome and I hope you enjoy. There will be spoilers if you are not caught up, and I will write about some very heavy topics. This is M rated for a reason. On a better note, the main pairing will be Ichigo and Yoruichi, I am undecided for any others or if they will even make an appearance. Hope you enjoy!

Kisuke could only remember one day this bad in his life time: the day Aizen hollowfied his friends. The social outcome was regrettable, but that never truly phased Kisuke to begin with. The true dread came from watching those he knew fight for their lives against an enemy that he couldn't even see. This incident was shaping up to be similar in horrifying severity. The self-proclaimed humble shop keep has been listening to the whispers of Quincy activity and had long since started planning and preparing for their eventual return, but never did he expect they would strike so suddenly. The opening act of the millennium long war with the Quincies was upon them, and even worse, the previous nightmare was back: Aizen had been freed from Muken.

Ichigo had been able to defeat Aizen at the cost of his own powers and that could have gone very wrong. The mad man had underestimated the strength of Ichigo's soul, despite having set him up to be the only being who could equal him in evolution. The level Ichigo ascended to led to the beginnings of more substantiated rumors about Yamamoto Genryusai's power waning. Certainly the man had been declining as the centuries wore by, losing an arm only served to bolster these rumors, but a stronger pure Shinigami was yet to be found. The Seireitei was licking its wounds from the recent conflicts, and certainly no where near on guard enough to stop the Wandenreich's sneak attack. The true damage came from after they released Aizen's seal and his subsequent violent emergence from Muken. Aizen fled to Hueco Mundo and the Quincies vanished to their own hiding place, leaving Soul Society to pick through the rubble and desperately muster their forces.

The second the threat disappeared, Kisuke knew the seconds were counting down to when the enemy attempted to crush them for good. Pushing his mind into overdrive, he opened the Senkaimon to Karakura and he was greeted with the stern countenance of Isshin Kurosaki. The man relaxed upon seeing that it was Kisuke that opened a Senkaimon over his family home. That relaxed composure was shattered mere moments later by the news of Aizen's freedom. Kisuke told him to gather Ichigo and his friends while he got the Vizard. With a grave nod, both men disappeared in a whisper of shunpo to fulfil their missions.

Minutes later, a group of nearly twenty people stood under the artificial sky of the Urahara Shop's basement anxiously waiting. Ichigo was still in bankai from training with Yoruichi in the same area, both were covered in a sheen of sweat from their light workout. Ichigo was at about the same level of strength as a week into his dangai training and managing to push Yoruichi in speed. Neither were a match for the terrors to come at the moment, Urahara Kisuke feared for both of them. He could not help but feel the dread from a mistake he thought solved reemerging. He still felt responsible for dragging Ichigo into this world so early. He was a human teenager with his entire life in front of him with utterly no responsibility to the afterlife. They had roped him in to fixing their problems time and time again, all and all they had been fortunate that Soul Society had not been responsible for anything happening to his family members. His zanpaktou's abilities would surely earn their name if he thought that Soul Society stood between him and those he held dear.

"Thank you all for coming, I wish it was under better circumstances." Removing his hat, Kisuke continued. "As I am sure some of you know, Aizen has been unsealed, but the reason why is actually the worse of the two. The Wandenreich attacked the Seireitei in broad daylight and freed Aizen from Muken. That means that Yhwach's soldiers are beginning to move. Soul Society is scrambling to mobilize, but they are somewhat scattered. We must prepare for war as well, Ryuken, I care not what your previous vows or gripes regarding the afterlife are, you are the strongest Quincy among us and the most familiar with the Wandenreich. You are being summoned to the Seireitei, we are all relying on your experience." Before the stoic man could respond, Kisuke spoke again, "Yamamoto is once again in a coma."

The blonde man waited for the outcry from the assembled individuals to die down and it did not take long. "This larger and more serious situation than any of us could have predicted. I will say what is on everyone's mind: Ichigo, we require your strength once again as this threatens all three worlds. Aizen left to Hueco Mundo, so I do not know what will remain of the Arrancars that survived Aizen's fall. Ichigo and at least two others must go to gather any possible allies, but before you do, you must learn how to use garganta. If you see Aizen, flee back here immediately, do not even give him a chance to speak. The rest of you, start training, either here or at the Vizard's warehouse, but never be alone. Ichigo, Isshin, Yoruichi, come with me." Kisuke shunpoed up the ladder without any further dismissal and the last three followed suit, a morbid curiosity at the finality in his tone possessing all three.

First chapter done, there are plenty to go, at this time I have ten written and I plan to post the first few immediately, then release more as I go. Hope you stay to read more!
