Thought I'd surprise everyone with an extra update!

Luke

"I'm sorry, Luke. Still no reply." The Major shook his head at Luke sadly. For the past two weeks, Luke had been stopping by the IRC to see if Kreel had decided to respond. Though his message had been cryptic and Luke would not be surprised if Kreel simply ignored it, he wanted to check.

"Alright, thanks for checking again."

If Kreel didn't show up in the next couple of weeks, Luke would have to think of a new plan – who else could he send a message to? Did he try and send a message to Kreel again? He thought his last name alone would send alarm belles straight up to Vader – apparently, Vader was not as wary of the Skywalker name reappearing as Luke had expected.

How had his father found him in the past again? It wasn't until he blew up the Death Star that Vader had even figured out Luke was around, and even then, Luke was certain it started out with simple interest in the man who had destroyed his Master's precious toy. When had Vader figured out that Luke was his son?

"No problem. I'm sure he will write soon – it's very busy on the flagship." The man he had bumped into several days ago – Major Hal – apparently started his shift at this time of day, Luke having run into him every time he'd checked so far.

Pulled from his thoughts, Luke nodded. "I'm sure. I'll check again in a couple of days."

Exiting the building, Luke stretched before checking the time. School had felt impossible the last few days, Luke growing bored out of his mind. However, if he wanted to avoid raising suspicions, he had to stick it out. Heading towards the school, Luke felt a hand reach out and grab him, yanking him into the shadows. Before he could yell, a hand clapped over his mouth.

"What are you doing?"

The fear in Luke's heart released. "Obi-wan! You scared the kriff out of me!"

"Don't curse! What were you doing in the IRC?" Obi-wan demanded again, still holding his shoulders. Looking at his hands, he realized that Obi-wan's knuckles were white.

"I just sent someone a message."

Groaning heavily, Obi-wan started muttering to himself. Just as quick as he started, he grabbed Luke and started dragging him down the street.

"Where are we going?!" Luke protested.

"You just sent a message into the Empire, I'm assuming with your name on it. That means eventually Vader is going to discover that you are here, which means by the time he gets here you are going to be somewhere else! Luckily for you, I just made arrangements off planet, though I'd prefer not to drag you along with me there. We don't have a choice now, though."

"What? No! What about my Aunt and Uncle?" Luke tried to wiggle out of Obi-wan's grip, but the man's hand was like iron around his wrist.

"I told you to leave it alone, Luke! I warned you! You aren't just messing around here – Luke, you are more powerful than your father and the Emperor combined. If either of them get your hands on you, its over. The dark side will win. You can't fight it when you have no training in the light!"

"But-"

"No! No "buts". We are leaving the planet now."

Turning around, Obi-wan dragged him through the streets, no one giving them a second glance. Mostly because everyone was now inside, hiding from the heat, and because people being dragged off wasn't uncommon in these parts. Uncle Owen had always warned him to be careful and to stay with the other kids once he got to town.

Dragged into the space port, Luke glanced around in confusion. "Do you have a ship? How are you planning on leaving?"

"I have friends in high places."

Luke couldn't tell by the man's dry tone if he was being truthful or sarcastic.

Resigning himself to his fate, Luke followed along after Obi-wan in the space port, who was marching them to a very specific place.

Finally, he paused at a ship. Two people were loading the ship full of crates, a red haired woman looked over at their approach. She was dressed in green fatigues with a hat pulled down to her brow. "Ah, you're back. Are you ready to go? Go ahead and get comfy on the ship. We'll be loaded here in a minute."

"Wait, whose the kid?" The other figure asked, a tall man of a species Luke did not recognize. The accent was heavy but he could still be understood.

"The circumstances have changed – his family has died. I must take him to his distance relatives on Alderaan. I was hoping I'd have enough time to go locate his family like I said before, but now I cannot leave him here by himself. I am happy to pay extra for him – would another thousand credits suffice?"

Exchanging a look with each other, they both nodded. "Sorry to hear that. Welcome aboard the Sunfluer, kid."

"Thank you."

The woman came over, taking her cap off. Long red hair fell down around her shoulders, the woman offering him a friendly grin. "My name is Rable, and this is Greico. I'm sorry about your family."

"What are you?" Luke looked towards Greico curiously, ignoring the condolences.

Obi-wan gaped. "Luke! That's very rude-"

But Greico simply chuckled, waving his hand at Obi-wan. "It's alright, the poor kid knows nothing but sand. I am a Pau'an, from Utapau."

Tilting his head, Luke didn't remember whether he had even met a Pau'an before. Though, he had heard of several battles that had been fought on Utapau during his time with the rebels, he had never been there personally.

"Yes, well come along, Luke. They need to finish loading." Making sure Luke got on first, Obi-wan pushed him into a seat and sat down beside him.

"What are we going to do on Alderaan? And where are you going to get that many credits?! How many did you even promise them?" Luke demanded as soon as they were alone.

Patting Luke's knee, Obi-wan grinned again. "I told you – I have friends in high places."

Sighing, Luke settled back against the seat, crossing his arms. Glancing out the window, Luke wondered what his Aunt and Uncle would think when he didn't come back.

"Can't we at least leave them a note?" Luke begged.

"The less they know the better. I will send them a message once we get where we are going." Obi-wan assured him.

Maybe this adventure would change his future, but for the first time Luke wondered if that future might be worse than the one he lived before. Shaking his head to clear it, Luke clenched his hands into fists. This had to be better – otherwise everyone he cared about was doomed.

After almost twenty-four hours in space, Luke couldn't help but feel the thrill of an adventure pulling him onward. Despite longing to have had at least the chance to say goodbye to his Aunt and Uncle, Luke knew it would be better for them in the long run if he wasn't around. Now, he could intercept the plans for the Death Star when the time was right, and they could live peacefully on their farm.

Being back in space, Luke couldn't help but wonder where Han and Chewbacca were currently. He couldn't remember where they would have been at this point in the timeline – had Han even won the Millennium Falcon from Lando yet? Or was he still in the Imperial Navy? Or had Han been in the army?

Biting his lip, Luke wondered if he was going to keep losing those details as time went on. Some things still felt crystal clear – like the Emperor's crackling electricity – and other details seemed to be drifting away like a sand mirage in the desert.

"How close are we to Alderaan?" Luke asked.

"It's going to still take about half a day to get to Alderaan." Rable swung around from the her seat, Luke glancing towards her.

The ship itself was rather small in comparison to the Falcon, though Luke also had to admit it was in far better conditions. The cargo hold was down below, and the living area was also a part of the cock pit. There were only two cots, but if everything went to plan that wouldn't be an issue for this trip. Off to the side, they had a small kitchenette with a table also for two.

For two people, it was fairly livable. Then again, there had been times in the rebellion that the living conditions were far worse than something simple like tight quarters, such as their time spent on Hoth. Just thinking about that cold, icy planet made Luke shiver.

Obi-wan placed another blanket over Luke's shoulders, misinterpreting Luke's shivering. "Don't worry, young one. Alderaan will be much warmer...though not as warm as Tatooine."

Luke knew exactly why Obi-wan was not excited to be taking him to Alderaan – the reason he and Leia had originally been separated was to keep one safe if the other was discovered. Bringing them together for even a moment was dangerous, as even having the knowledge of one another could be pried from their minds. However, Bail was Obi-wan's point of contact in the Rebellion. It was why in the past Obi-wan had originally tried to take them to Alderaan, though it had been gone before their arrival. Luke was genuinely curious to see the planet he had never been privy to seeing before.

"Thanks." Luke pulled the blanket tighter.

Greico had managed to whip up a fine meal from the scraps he could find on the ship, he and Rable squabbling over not remembering to pick up food supplies.

"Our poor guests are going to think we eat this poorly all the time." Greico shook his head as if ashamed.

"At least this one's a kid. Kids eat anything." Rable grinned at Luke, coming over to ruffle his hair and offer him a bowl before taking a seat at the table.

"So, do you want to talk about it?" Rable asked Luke, not unkindly.

"Talk about what?" Luke tilted his head, genuinely confused. Could she know about him coming back in time?

"Your family?"

Luke felt himself let out a breath he didn't realize he'd been holding. "Oh...it was very unexpected. My Aunt and Uncle both got Sand Fever, and we couldn't afford a doctor. Obi- I mean, Ben, offered to go find my extended family on Alderaan hoping they could help, but it was too late."

Eyes softening, Rable looked as though she could relate to Luke's story. Feeling slightly guilty about lying, remembering his Aunt's soft expressions hardened Luke's heart right back up. There was no way he was going to drag his Aunt and Uncle back into this mess. No price in the world would make him give them up.

"I see. I'm sorry for asking."

"It's alright." Luke offered her a sad smile, channeling the pain of having to leave his Aunt and Uncle behind.

Obi-wan, who had glanced at the proffered meal and promptly politely declined it, had chosen to sit in one of the seats off to the side. "So you must make the Corellian run often then."

Rable shrugged. "Often enough – we run between Tatooine and Corellia almost on a clockwork basis. We're the ones people go to when they need stuff hauled – we don't ask questions, and we don't get caught." Winking, Rable leaned back in her chair, having finished her meal.

"So how did you guys meet?"

Rable glanced at Greico, frowning. "I...it doesn't matter, kid. We both just had a mutual goal and decided to complete it together, that's all. And then we learned we worked well together, so we stuck together!"

An alarm suddenly went off, saving Rable from her rambling. Frowning, Rable went over, picking up the radio. "This is Sonfluer. Who is requesting us?"

"This is Major Hal Grettesen. I'm looking for a child, twelve years old, blond, blue eyes that recently left Tatooine. We are calling all the ships that recently took off to see if he managed to smuggle aboard anywhere."

Turning off the speaker, Rable let out a low curse. "You guys had Imps on your tail?"

Obi-wan's jaw clenched for a second. "If you tell them the boy isn't here, I'll make it worth your while."

"These are the Imperials we are talking about! I didn't know he was some escaping prisoner-"

"He's not an escaping prisoner. Trust me, you don't want to know. Just get us to Alderaan."

"My ships tagged now!" Rable muttered again.

Greico came over, looking Luke over closely. "Tell them the boy isn't here, Rable. Tell them he asked to come aboard, and we said no, and sent him to Draco."

Rable's eyebrows went up. "Well, they'll have fun tracking him down." Relaying the message, the communication ended.

"How do you get in trouble with Imps on Tatooine?" Rable was asking rhetorically, but it was clear she actually wanted an answer.

Obi-wan shrugged. "You know how they are – one little misstep, and suddenly your whole life is over. Thank you."

"Yeah, well, once you get to Alderaan, you're on your own!" Rable insisted.

"I understand, thank you."

The rest of the trip went quietly, though Luke was rather surprised that they had started asking about him so quickly. Perhaps the name Skywalker had been higher up on Vader's priority list than Luke had initially thought.

As they approached Alderaan, Luke tried his best to appear indifferent. Landing on an open pad at the palace, Luke was rather surprised to see a large entourage waiting for them outside. Leia was not among them, but King Bail was.

Luke knew very little about Bail Organa. By the time Luke came into the picture, Bail had died along with the billions of other Alderaanians, though Leia had on occasion spoken warmly of both her father and her mother. Often, whenever she was reminded of her parents all Luke could feel through the Force was her pain at having lost them, so he had tried not to remind her of them too often.

Greico and Rable stepped off the ship first, Obi-wan placing his hands on Luke's shoulders and steering him out after.

"Be polite. He's a king, Luke." Obi-wan whispered to him. Ignoring the fact that Luke already knew this, Luke still felt wary despite knowing that he'd only heard great things about the – formerly late? - king.

"Welcome. I see you have a friend as well." The King of Alderaan came out to greet them. "What is your name, child?"

"Luke."

"Do you have a last name, Luke?"

Obi-wan interrupted. "It's best you don't know, Bail. We need to speak."

"Of course. Would you care to have a cup of tea?" Understanding filled Bail's expression, Bail gesturing towards the palace doors. "Sadly, Breha just left for Coruscant – she would have loved to have seen you."

"It is certainly disappointing to miss her, but I'm afraid I owe these two for flying us out here."

For a moment, a gleam entered Bail's eyes. "Oh? Another favor, I suppose?"

"Let's call it that for now. It's very important."

The gleam faded. There was an understanding between them that Luke remembered from before. It's understanding that only people that go through war together can create.

"I see." Addressing Greico and Rable, he gestured towards one of his aides. "Please, this man will take you to settle the bill."

"Thank you. See ya." Rable gave Luke a wink and a two fingered salute, Greico simply waving goodbye.

Obi-wan placed a hand on Luke's shoulder, pushing him towards the palace doors as if to warn him not to get any ideas.

Leading them inside, Bail lead them to a large gazebo in the middle of a wondrous garden. Even in all of Luke's past memories, he had never seen such a stunning place as this. It was no wonder to Luke why Leia had struggled so deeply to let go of Alderaan after it's destruction. After seeing it with his own eyes, Luke was more determined than ever to save Alderaan, even if just to save Leia the pain of watching her whole world destroyed.

The three of them settled at the table, Bail sitting in the middle. "So, what brings you and Luke here to Alderaan, Obi-wan? It's been what, twelve years?" As Bail spoke, he was studying Luke, as if pinpointing a coincidence between Luke's age and his good friend's sudden reunion.

"Yes. I need a ship – something small. This child has potential for the Force, and he's gotten the attention of the Imperials."

Raising his eyebrows, Bail clasped his hands together, letting air blow out his nose. "Oh dear. That's not good."

"No, it's not. I'm going to have to take him…" Obi-wan trailed off, glancing towards Luke. "Perhaps we should continue this in private."

Fuming, Luke crossed his arms. "Why? What can't you say in front of me?"

Bail and Obi-wan exchanged another one of their impossible looks before Bail gestured towards one of his aides. One approached immediately, bowing crisply to Bail.

"Please escort our young guest to a room so he can get cleaned up before dinner."

Scowling, Luke stood and followed after the aide. For a while, they simply traveled in silence, Luke following them down the unfamiliar palace walls.

"Where are you taking me?" Luke asked the aide, feeling grubby in his travel worn clothes compared to the elegant uniforms the guards and officers were all assigned.

Glancing back towards him, the aide offered a pleasant smile. "To one of the guest suites in the palace. Your companion will be provided one near your room as well."

"What about Greico and Rable? Did they leave already?" Luke demanded.

The aide's lips twitched, though the smile remained. "Not yet, they are resupplying."

"I want to go with them." Luke crossed his arms, refusing to go forward.

Now the smile was strained. "It's too dangerous for a child to travel around the galaxy with smugglers."

The other guards were watching with interest, though none seemed alarmed. A twelve year old was hardly intimidating, though Luke remembered being eighteen didn't do much to change that.

"All I know is that I'm supposed to escort you to a room, child. Please don't make my job harder."

Relenting, Luke nodded, letting the aide continue on the path. Bringing him to a large room, Luke wondered belatedly if he was supposed to be impressed by it, but he was too busy mulling over his predicament to be impressed.

"There is a bathroom through there. I'll have someone bring you some clothes to change into." The aide excused himself, closing the door to the room Luke was in. There was a balcony off the bedroom, but the door was locked.

As if that could stop me. Luke snorted to himself.

Still, it would be nice to clean up a little. Entering the bathroom, Luke stripped off his dirty clothes and turned on the shower, relishing in the feeling of having warm water run over his hand. On Tatooine, there was no such thing as a water shower as water was too valuable to waste on bathing. Rather, they had sonic showers that knocked the dirt off, but left one still feeling gritty and unclean. That may have mostly been because on a sand covered planet, there was no escaping the grit.

Wondering how his Aunt and Uncle were doing, Luke tried not to overthink it. Questions like whether or not they missed him or whether or not they were even trying to find him would only make him miserable.

Stepping under the water, Luke forced himself to just take a quick rinse and only stay under long enough to get the dirt off, not wanting to enjoy these privileges. Stepping out of the shower, Luke opened the door to find a pile of clean robes sitting outside the door.

Dressing quickly, Luke felt the guards standing outside the door to the room, but none were outside on the balcony.

Closing his eyes, Luke held his hand over the door handle, finally unlocking it with a satisfying click. Stepping outside, Luke shut it behind him, climbing over the rail of the balcony and dropping onto the grass below.

Pausing, Luke reached down to touch the grass, feeling the soft blades under the tips of his fingers. How had grass come to be labeled as a blade? It was neither sharp nor hard like a sword, but soft and gentle. How could he not remember the first time he had ever touched grass? Perhaps the chaos of losing everything and joining the rebellion caused gaps in his memory, but Luke was certain he never would have forgotten a moment like this. Fighting the urge to roll in it, Luke glanced around, finding himself in a garden.

Adjusting his robe, Luke began to wander down the pathway he found, taking his time as he strolled through the garden. In all of his memories, he had never seen a garden like this or had the opportunity to explore one. The flowers added just a tint of scent to the air, the birds singing from their tree branches. The path had been expertly paved out of cobblestone, carefully crafted so that one didn't stumble on their way. Clearly someone had put much love and effort into this place.

As he came around a bush, he paused. A young girl, twelve just like him, was sitting in the middle of a patch of grass. Looking up as he came near, she was still holding a flower she'd been admiring in her cupped hands.

"Who are you? How did you get in here?" Immediately suspicious, Princess Leia Organa glared at him with the brown eyed gaze that he remembered so fondly.

Blinking back tears that he did not expect, Luke bowed to her. "Your highness. I apologize for disturbing you."

"That's not what I asked. Obviously, you know who I am...who are you? I won't ask again before calling for the guards."

Fighting the urge to laugh, this was the Leia Luke remembered well. Always blunt and to the point, and never willing to back down.

"My name is Luke. I only arrived here today, so I suppose I've gotten myself lost."

Standing, Leia gentle set her flower aside and brushed off her stainless white dress. "I was unaware that we were expecting guests today. Are you a prince from another planet?"

Unable to hold in his laughter, Luke shook his head. "No. I'm no prince."

"Then you must be the son of another ambassador or Senator – what planet are you from?" Leia continued to pry, not letting the issue drop.

"Tatooine."

Pausing, Leia considered this information. "But Tatooine doesn't have an ambassador or a Senator!"

Grinning again, Luke shrugged. "I suppose it's a mystery."

Pouting, Leia crossed her arms in a very not princess-like way. "Stop teasing me!"

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean too."

There was an ache starting right in the left side of Luke's chest, every thud of his heart spreading it further through to his gut. Here she was in all her innocence, not having yet been tainted by the galaxy around them. Obviously she did not have the same memories as him, or she would have recognized him. The name alone should have been enough of a hint.

Feeling lonely, Luke wondered briefly what everyone had thought of his death. When the second Death Star exploded, there was no body for his friends to find. Perhaps that would be harder than having a body to mourn. Then again, when had the time reset? If as soon as he died he got sent back, maybe they never learned he died.

"Are you alright? You look a bit...peaked." Leia drew him back to his new future, Luke flinching back when he saw her hand reaching towards him. "Oh. I'm sorry...you're just…"

Reaching up, Luke found tears on his cheeks. "Oh."

"Who are you really? What are you doing here?"

Wiping away the tears quickly, Luke plastered a smile back on his face. "I don't know. I was brought here. I saw the garden, and I'd never seen anything like it before."

Eyes softening slightly, Leia offered a small smile in return. "I see. Why don't I help you back to your room then?"

Right as Leia offered, guards came flooding into the garden, four of them rushing up to the Princess. Flinching away, Luke took several large steps back, not wanting them to think he was doing anything nefarious to their princess.

"Your highness!" The guard relaxed when he saw the Princess, but still watched Luke with open wariness.

"What is it?" Leia asked, glancing between her guards and Luke.

"Our guest here appeared to be lost after leaving his room. We were just worried and looking for him."

Yeah, right. Luke could feel in the Force that the guards were more worried that he had done something to the Princess.

"Am I really a guest if I'm not allowed to leave my room?" Luke growled out, feeling in the Force more guards coming up behind him.

The aide from earlier came around the corner, looking rather flustered. "Luke! How did you get out of your room – your highness?!"

"The balcony door was open. I wanted to see the garden." Luke did not like these guards. They didn't like him for some reason, and it was bleeding through the Force in heavy doses.

Following after the guards came Bail and Obi-wan, Leia grinning when he came into view. "Father!"

"Leia, my dear, why don't you go ahead and get ready for dinner? As you can see, we have guests tonight." Bail offered warmly.

"Very well. I'll see you later, Luke!" Leia went off with her guards, leaving Luke behind.

"I see you got yourself cleaned up." Obi-wan looked over the robes Luke was wearing, shaking his head. "These robes make it easy for you to blend in with everyone else."

"Don't give the boy ideas." Bail teased.

"Look, I have to reach my father, okay? It's the only way, and Obi-wan won't listen to me!" Luke crossed his arms, Obi-wan pinching the bridge of his nose again in frustration.

"Your father? Obi-wan told me your parents are dead."

Confused, Luke glanced between Obi-wan and Bail before it dawned on him: Bail didn't know. Of course, it made perfect sense – if Bail knew that Leia had a brother, if she was ever discovered as Vader's daughter then Luke would be vulnerable. Just like his Aunt and Uncle had no idea that Luke had a sister, Bail had zero idea who Luke really was.

"Well, he's not. My father is Anakin Skywalker." Luke looked pointedly at Bail, who paled.

"W-what?"

"My name is Luke Skywalker. I'm surprised Obi-wan didn't tell you."

"Yes, well, now that the truth is out in the open, I suppose we don't have much choice but be completely honest." Obi-wan glared. "You're putting both Bail and Leia in danger knowing who you are, Luke."

Luke's jaw shut with a click.

"Please, continue." Bail ignored the comment. "I still don't understand what you mean – Anakin Skywalker is dead."

"Anakin Skywalker isn't dead – he's Darth Vader!" Luke could feel Obi-wan's mood waver dangerously, Bail turning towards his friend in shock.

"What? You told us that Leia's parents had died!"

"And they did – Anakin Skywalker is no more." Obi-wan was pinching the bridge of his nose again. "But what Luke says is true – he stopped following the way of the Jedi Knight and became a Sith the day Luke and Leia were born."

Bail looked about ready to collapse. "Oh, my."

"Luke had a bad dream back on Tatooine." Obi-wan said dryly, giving Luke a long stare. "He now thinks that the only way to stop his dream future from coming true is to go to his father and bring him back to the light side of the Force."

Glaring back, Luke shook his head. "Everything I said was real. If we don't do something, everyone is going to suffer."

"This is beyond your understanding, Luke. Darth Vader is not your father – your father was Anakin Skywalker. Sith have no feelings – the only thing he'll want you for is your power."

"He hasn't fully turned to the dark side yet. I can save him! I can save us all – you just have to let me get to him." Luke knew he was begging now, pleading, desperate to get them on his side.

"Yes, so you told the Imperials back on Tatooine your real name and sent a message to who knows who. Were you hoping that your name alone would somehow garner the attention of the man who is second in charge of the entire galaxy?" Obi-wan was trying to play it off like nothing would come of it, but he obviously didn't realize that Luke could feel the trace of fear in the Force leaking through his shields.

"Isn't that why we are running? Because they already found me? They even reached out to the ship we were on!" Luke pointed out.

Bail's gaze sparked to life like a flare as he suddenly understood that even within the first few minutes of meeting him, he had underestimated Luke from the start.

"Child, do you understand what you've done? Do you know of the efforts it took to conceal you?"

Dropping his facade completely, Luke shrugged. "Then why didn't anyone change my name? I could have been Luke Lars...or Luke Kenobi, or even Luke Organa. So why keep it the same if you didn't want me to be found?"

Though Luke was beating around the bush, his point was clear: he knew who Leia really was also.

Bail looked as if he had been struck. "How much did you tell Leia about all this?"

"Why would that matter?" Luke asked.

"Luke, this goes beyond your understanding-"

"You can't just will this away, Obi-wan! You can't just pretend that what I know isn't truth! I get it – you're afraid that my father will turn me to the dark side, but that's not going to happen."

Obi-wan and Bail exchanged a glance, and Luke realized this was getting him no where. Neither of them saw him as anything other than a lost, little kid talking about things way over his head.

"Luke, go back to your room. Obi-wan and I have things we need to discuss."

About to protest, Luke watched as guards approached as well as the aide from earlier. Gesturing towards the door, the aide waited for Luke, the aide bowing to his king before following Luke out. Taken back to his room, this time a guard was also placed out on the balcony.

"Let the guards know if you need anything. Otherwise, you are to remain here." Closing the door, Luke heard the lock turn.

Obviously they were going to be discussing what to do with him – chances were, they weren't just going to send him back to Tatooine. Nor was it safe to keep Luke here with Leia, though even in the previous timeline no one among the Imperials had figured out that Leia wasn't a true Organa. But now Bail knew that Luke knew Leia was his sister, and if he told her or anyone else, the consequences could be unimaginable.

No one could see the bigger picture because no one else had seen what would happen if Luke didn't do this. Clearly, anyone he tried to tell would just rule off his story as that of the imagination of a twelve year old, or soon they'd start calling him crazy.

Flopping back on the bed he'd been provided, Luke sank into the soft mattress. Staring up at the ceiling, Luke mulled over what choices he had left.
