Author's Note: What's up, my readers? I'm finally back with chapter 2, and from the looks of it, a lot of you seemingly enjoyed chapter 1. I wanna give a big thank you to everyone who's given this story a favorite, a follow, and a review. Y'all are amazing. I'll reply to some reviews first, and then we can get started.
Kival737101: Thanks! And yeah, stories with Spidey and Psylocke being the main ship are quite rare. It's one of the reasons why I wanted to make something like this.
Nexus38: Appreciate you telling me that! Luckily, I found a way to work around it, and I think it should be fun.
Mathewcastanedamc: Thanks! Fury's eyes, (or rather eye) should be correct now in the first chapter. I did update it when this site was apparently having a stroke, though, so let me know if the changes are showing.
NeoTyson: Thanks, dude! And to your point, Marvel Rivals has given me PTSD as well, lol. It's one of the most fun, yet most stressful games I've ever played.
Alright, that's all the reviews. To all my readers, make sure to leave a review, and I'll reply to it in the next chapter. With that being said, let's get started.

Chapter 2: Multiverse of Madness Part 1
Tokyo 2099
BGM: Marvel Rivals - Tokyo 2099
A kaleidoscope of colors swirled in the air as the multiverse trembled, torn apart by the sheer force of the battle. The explosion had scattered heroes across dimensions, their fates uncertain in the endless expanse of possibilities. Among them, Spider-Man and Psylocke found themselves ripped from their world, thrust into a reality both familiar and foreign.
Spider-Man groaned, blinking as his vision stabilized. He was on his back, the cold pavement beneath him telling him he was no longer floating in the void of instability. His senses were still buzzing from the transition, his body aching like he'd just gotten out of a wrestling match with the Hulk.
"What… happened?" he mumbled, rubbing the back of his head.
Slowly, he sat up and took in his surroundings. Neon signs flickered overhead, but they weren't quite right. Tokyo 2099 was already futuristic, but now, elements from another time clashed with its modernity—towering skyscrapers alongside 1970s-style billboards, a fusion of neon-drenched cyberpunk and retro aesthetics. It was as if two eras had been forcibly stitched together.
Then, he saw her.
Just a few feet away, Psylocke lay motionless, her purple hair fanned out around her. Panic shot through him as he scrambled to his feet and rushed to her side.
"Psylocke? Hey, Betsy, you okay?" Concern was thick in his voice as he crouched beside her, shaking her shoulder gently.
A moment passed before she stirred. Her eyelids fluttered, and her breathing steadied. When her deep violet eyes finally opened, Spider-Man let out a relieved sigh.
"Easy, easy," he said, placing a hand lightly on her back as she tried to sit up. "Take your time."
Psylocke's gaze flicked to him, unreadable for a brief moment, before scanning their surroundings.
"This is Tokyo," she murmured, her tone quiet yet certain. "But… different."
"You're telling me," Spider-Man said, standing up and offering her a hand. She took it, rising gracefully to her feet. "I think we just got multiverse-warped."
Psylocke frowned. "What about the others? Are they here?"
Spider-Man shook his head. "No clue. But if we're here, they've gotta be somewhere close." He tried to sound optimistic, though in truth, uncertainty gnawed at him.
However, before they could dwell on it further, his Spider-Sense flared—a sharp, instinctual warning. His muscles tensed immediately as he spun around, scanning their surroundings.
"What is it?" Psylocke asked, her own senses sharpening as she summoned her Psi-Blades, violet energy crackling in her hands.
"I don't know yet," Spider-Man replied, eyes darting around. "But something's definitely off."
BGM: Supaidāman Theme (Definitive Version)
Then, a sudden THWIP cut through the silence.
It was unmistakable. The same sound Spider-Man heard whenever he swung through New York. But this time, it wasn't coming from him.
A shadow dropped from above, landing gracefully a few feet away. The figure stood tall, posture confident yet cautious. Clad in red and blue, the suit was unmistakably Spider-Man's, but not Peter's Spider-Man suit. This one was different. Sleeker in some ways, yet with a certain vintage charm.
The newcomer straightened, crossing his arms. His voice rang out in Japanese.
"Watashi wa jigoku kara no shishada—Supaidāman!" (A/N: English Translation - I am an emissary from hell—Spider-Man!")
Peter blinked, not being sure what to think right now. "Uh… what?"
Takuya Yamashiro, the Japanese Spider-Man, narrowed his eyes and spoke once more in Japanese, pointing directly at Peter. "Kimi wa nisemonoda!"
Peter's head tilted in confusion, and he soon turned to Psylocke, wanting her to be his translator. "Psylocke, please tell me that you understand what he's saying."
"I do," she replied flatly, an amused smirk on her face. "He called you a faker."
Peter's jaw dropped behind his mask, his realization immediately making him look at Takuya. "Faker?! I think you're the fake Spider-Man around here!"
Takuya scoffed, shaking his head as if Peter had personally offended him. And then, because apparently the multiverse wasn't weird enough, he reached into his suit and comically pulled out a literal machine gun.
Peter took an exaggerated step back, throwing his hands up. "Okay, what?! Spider-Man doesn't use guns!"
Takuya finally switched to English, his expression completely serious.
"I missed the part where that's my problem."
And just like that, he opened fire.
BANG!
BANG!
BANG!
Peter barely had time to leap out of the way, flipping mid-air as bullets whizzed past him. Psylocke, with her ex-assassin-like precision, dodged the gunfire with fluid ease, rolling to the side before pushing off into a sprint.
"This was NOT on my to-do list today!" Peter quipped as he landed on a nearby neon sign.
"Focus!" Psylocke exclaimed, her voice sharp with discipline as she prepared to strike.
Meanwhile, with Iron Man and Rocket…
BGM: AC/DC - Back In Black
High above the glowing skyline of Tokyo 2099, Iron Man soared through the air, his repulsors thrumming with energy. The futuristic cityscape below shimmered with neon lights, yet the unmistakable presence of vintage architecture clashed with its high-tech surroundings. Perched on his back was none other than Rocket, the irritable, gun-toting Guardian of the Galaxy, gripping onto the armor's plating as he peered down.
"Alright, J.A.R.V.I.S.," Tony said, his voice crackling through his helmet's interface. "Give me the rundown. Where the heck are we?"
J.A.R.V.I.S. processed for a moment before replying. "Sir, based on my scans, this appears to be a futuristic version of Tokyo—specifically, the year 2099. However, due to recent multiversal instability, it seems to have merged with a version of Tokyo from the 1970s. The architecture and technological signatures are inconsistent, supporting this theory."
A deep sigh escaped Tony's lips. "Of course. Doom plays with time and suddenly, I'm stuck in a city that can't decide what decade it wants to belong to."
Rocket groaned, rubbing his furry face. "Great. Another flarkin' mess. After this is over, I swear, this is the last time I ever help the Avengers."
Tony rolled his eyes. "Oh, please. You love us. Where else are you gonna get the premium experience of riding on Iron Man's back?"
Rocket smirked. "Anywhere that doesn't involve getting thrown into multiversal chaos every other Tuesday."
Tony wouldn't back down from their bickering. "Listen, Build-A-Bear, maybe stick to looking cute and fuzzy while the adults figure this out."
Rocket scoffed. "Oh, real funny, Tin Can. Y'know, if I had a unit for every time I heard that joke, I'd-"

Before Rocket could finish, J.A.R.V.I.S. interrupted. "Sir, I'm detecting an incoming presence. Energy signature—unknown. But it's moving at high velocity."
Tony and Rocket immediately stopped their bickering. The air grew tense.
"Where's it coming from?" Tony asked, adjusting his sensors.
"Directly ahead."
Before either of them could react, a voice suddenly rang out from below, sharp and commanding:
"Qì guàn cháng hóng!"
Rocket's ears perked up, his face scrunching in confusion. "Uh… did I just hear somebody say 'cheaper town hall'?"
Tony barely had time to process the comment before a figure leapt into the sky, moving like a comet.
POW!
Before Tony could react, a fist glowing with golden energy slammed into his faceplate with a shockwave of force. The impact sent both him and Rocket spiraling backward.
"SON OF A-!" Rocket yelped, clutching onto Tony as they tumbled downward.
"Really? A sucker punch?!" Tony grunted as his suit's stabilizers kicked in. Just before they could hit the pavement, he twisted in mid-air, activating his thrusters and catching Rocket before landing with a metallic thud.
Shaking off the hit, he rubbed his faceplate. "Okay, not the welcome wagon I was expecting."
Landing just a few feet in front of them, the attacker stood firm, his expression serious. His arms glowed with an ethereal golden energy, reminiscent of the Iron Fist technique.
Rocket, still reeling, looked between Tony and their new enemy. "Alright, what was that about?!"
Tony pointed at the man. "I was about to ask the same thing. What's wrong with you, Danny?"
The fighter's eyes remained locked onto Iron Man as he spoke, his voice laced with conviction.
"I'm not Danny Rand."
Tony's brow furrowed behind his mask. "...Excuse me?"
The man's gaze hardened. "My name is Lin Lie. And you…" He pointed directly at Tony. "...will pay for what you've done."
Rocket shot Tony a deadpan look. "Uh, what exactly did you do to tick off Karate Kid here?"
Tony threw up his hands. "I don't even know who this guy is!"
J.A.R.V.I.S. chimed in. "Sir, given recent events, it's possible that Lin Lie is referring to an alternate universe version of yourself."
Tony groaned, proceeding to facepalm himself. "So what you're telling me is that somewhere in this tangled-up multiverse, there's an evil me?"
"Highly likely, sir." responded J.A.R.V.I.S.
Rocket chuckled. "A version of Stark who's an even bigger jerk than normal, eh? Honestly, I'm not that surprised."
Meanwhile, Lin Lie had already shifted into a battle stance. His aura flared to life, golden flames swirling around his fists.
"I won't let you destroy anything ever again." His voice was resolute, unwavering.
Rocket groaned. "Great, another stubborn hothead." He lifted his hands. "Listen, pal, maybe let's not start throwing punches again. We're kinda having a crisis here, and this-" he gestured between Tony and Lin Lie, "seems like a huge misunderstanding."
Lin Lie, however, wasn't interested in negotiations. The ground beneath him cracked as his energy surged.
Tony sighed. "Oh yeah. He's not listening."
Rocket let out an exasperated sigh. "I'm surrounded by flarkin' idiots."
Before the situation could escalate any further, a voice rang out, cutting through the tension.
"Everyone, calm down!"
Everyone turned toward the source of the voice. Standing at the edge of the street, illuminated by the neon lights, was Sue. Her arms were raised in a peaceful gesture, her calm demeanor contrasting sharply with the fiery energy in the air.
Tony and Rocket both paused, exchanging a look of relief.
Finally, someone with a level head.
Back with Peter, Psylocke, and Takuya...
BGM: X-Men COTA OST - Moon Night (Theme of Psylocke)
Takuya's machine gun blazed through the air, the rapid-fire clatter filling the night as he unloaded round after round into the streets. Spider-Man and Psylocke weaved, their movements precise and agile, dodging the barrage. But with each passing moment, they both knew they couldn't keep this up forever. Eventually, they'd need to take control.
Peter's mind raced, calculating his next move. The Japanese Spider-Man wasn't just a fighter—he was unpredictable, and his strength lay in his ability to keep his opponents off balance. But even the most seasoned warriors left themselves open sometimes. Peter just had to wait for the right opportunity.
And that moment came in a split second.
Takuya's gun clicked empty, the last of the ammo exhausted. The slight pause in the assault was all Peter needed. His web-shooters fired with pinpoint accuracy, sending a line of webbing straight for Takuya's machine gun. With a quick yank, the weapon was ripped from the Japanese Spider-Man's hands.
"Now I got you!" Peter yelled, a grin hidden behind his mask.
Takuya scowled, clearly frustrated. "You think this changes anything?" He quickly began to move into another attack, but he wasn't fast enough to avoid Psylocke.
With a fluid motion, she rushed forward, her Psi-Blades crackling with purple energy as she aimed to strike. Takuya, though caught off guard, dodged the blows with remarkable speed, his reflexes matching those of a seasoned fighter.
"Impressive," he said, his voice carrying a note of grudging respect. "But this isn't the first time that I've faced someone as powerful as you before."
Psylocke's eyes narrowed as she spun, ready for another assault, but Takuya wasn't about to give her the chance. He flipped backward, putting distance between them. In one swift motion, he shot a web at her feet, the sticky strands momentarily halting her movements.
Peter, still hanging back, assessed the situation quickly. There was no time to waste. He swung through the air, coming in low. With a twist of his body, he sent a powerful uppercut straight for Takuya. The punch landed squarely on Takuya's chin, sending him flying upward before crashing onto the hood of a nearby car with a loud crunch.
"Not bad for a fake Spider-Man," Peter quipped, landing gracefully a few feet away.
But Takuya wasn't down for long. With surprising agility, he flipped off the car and back onto his feet, seething with anger. "You'll regret that, faker!" he snarled, launching himself at Peter with a speed that almost matched his own.
Before Peter could react, Takuya landed a brutal kick to his stomach. The impact sent Peter soaring backward, crashing through the glass and metal of a nearby building. Dust and debris filled the air as he skidded to a halt against a wall.
Takuya didn't pause. He was already on the move again, eyes locked on his target. But as he charged forward, something unexpected happened.
From behind him, Psylocke emerged, her Psi-Blades glinting in the moonlight as they hovered dangerously close to Takuya's neck. Her voice was calm, but laced with lethal intent.
"If I were still an assassin, you'd be dead right now," Psylocke said, her voice cold and steady.
Takuya froze. His posture stiffened, realizing the precariousness of his situation. The blade-like energy was only a fraction of an inch from his neck. A sudden move would cost him everything.
"But I'm not an assassin anymore," she added, her tone softening just a little. "Fortunately for you."
The tension in the air was palpable. The two stood in a standoff, neither willing to make a move. For a moment, it seemed as though everything was frozen in time. Then, a voice rang out, cutting through the silence.
"Stop the fighting!"
BGM: Xenia Pax - Want It Here
Everyone turned toward the sound. Standing a few feet away was a girl they had never seen before, her figure hidden within the confines of a sleek, red-and-gold mechanical suit. The suit looked remarkably advanced, its design clearly inspired by something futuristic. A sense of authority radiated from her, and both Peter and Psylocke instinctively felt the weight of her presence.
Takuya, still on edge, narrowed his eyes. "Who are you?" he demanded.
Peter, shaking off the effects of Takuya's kick, slowly stood up and glanced over. "Yeah, I was just about to ask the same thing," he said, his voice still slightly breathless.
The girl remained still for a moment, her mechanical suit's visor reflecting the neon lights of the city. With a soft mechanical whir, the suit opened up, revealing her face. She was a teenager, her features youthful, but her eyes were clearly sharp and focused. And in a confident, yet serious tone, she would reveal who she is.
"I'm Peni Parker."

Author's Note: Well, there goes chapter 2. This is definitely one of the most fun stories I've worked on, to put it lightly. Also, check out some of my newest fanfics too until I update this one. Tangled in Flames (SpideyXJean), Webs of Lightning (SpideyXStorm), and Life is a Highway (SpideyXRogue) just to name a few. Webs and Daggers is a SpideyXElektra fic for all my Daredevil fans.
By the way, I know people have been waiting for Broken Hearts and Distorted Justice to be updated. Rest assured, I'm working on it. If you don't know what those stories are, then Broken Hearts is basically if I combined Spectacular Spider-Man and X-Men: Evolution, while making it into my own thing. And Distorted Justice is a Spidey and Justice League crossover.
Anyway, if you guys enjoyed the chapter, then make sure to give this story a FOLLOW and a FAVORITE! Don't forget to READ and REVIEW! See ya guys next time. Excelsior!
