Many years later on the island called Skyloft it was a beautiful sunny morning day a kid name link was born and had a family, mom and dad they live together happily until one day something unexpected happen Link parents were dying. They were sick. they rushed them to the medical room in the knights Academy on Skyloft while link was there alone in the waiting room a man approached to link

Hello, you must be link. I have heard what happened to your mother and father. I feel awful. Your father was a great man and so was your mother. Your father was actually one of our royal Knights. Dad looked over Skyloft my name is Gaepora the headmaster of the Knights Academy I heard a lot about you from your father.

Then one of the nurses came

excuse me they request to see link he parents said the nurse

But link didn't say anything he was scared inside Gaepora knew he was scared

Do you want me to come with you to see your parents said Gaepora

link nod, then he stand

they follow the nurse into the room and then she left. He saw the parents in the beds

hey link everything's gonna be OK said the. Mother.

Your mother is right son you're going to be OK Gaepora we'll take care of you and watch over you said the dad

it will be OK son I promise said mom

later that week they hold a funeral for the parents everyone did attend to the funeral. They spoke a few things and a few words for links parents behalf and then after the funeral was over, they all went home that night link and the headmaster went back to the Knights Academy and then when they got in, they smelled the lady cooking dinner. It was some soup and that did smell so good to we see everyone at the table from the academy, students Groose, Cawlin, Strich, Zelda, and Karane Pipit. The lunch lady Henya it is now bringing the soup out and putting them in front of them

wild, they were eating one of the other teachers notice Gaepora. And the new kid link arrived.

Everyone I like to make an announcement we have a brand new student joining us. His name is link now. Please make him feel right at home, please said Gaepora

then he went to where the teachers are sitting while link was walking towards where the kids are sitting eating their soup

so your link, aren't you it's very nice to meet you. I've heard many things about you from the Academy my name is Zelda and the father of gaepora said zelda

my name is Pipit very nice to meet a new student

my name is karane it's a pleasure to meet you link

my name is groose and this is cawlin and strich my Friends

after dinner, the kids went to sleep, but the grown-ups stayed up a little later with Link and Zelda they were at the table

Zelda will wake you up tomorrow for your first class. Classes are not very long and they're like a half a day and the other half is what you get can do what you want to fo said headmaster

we see link getting in his bed and then the headmaster turn off the lights

early the next morning

we see Zelda arrived at his room,

then they walked towards the kitchen everyone else was up and waiting at the dining room table then they saw Zelda and link walking together towards them

after breakfast, they head to class

Horwell class is about animals said zelda to link as they walked to class

we see them all take their seats. Zelda is sitting next link in the front of the class with Pipit and karane and in the back groose and his guys then the teacher came in

good morning students said Horwell

good morning Mr. Horwell. Said everyone except groose and he's guys

today we have a brand new student joining us in the academy. I like you all to meet link which I'm sure you known him from last night during his first visit said Horwell

please make sure that you guys treat him with respect and kindness and show him around so today we're gonna be talking about animals today. We're gonna do a history lesson talking about our giant guardian birds, the lofwings It is a custom in Skyloft for each person to have their own Loftwing, which is a symbol of the divine protection granted by the Goddess Hylia. A Loftwing and its rider have a special connection, as Skyloftians consider themselves to be one half of a pair until they are made whole by the Loftwings. When a Skyloftian is young, they meet their bird companion under the Statue of the Goddess.Having a Loftwing and being able to ride it separates the kids from the adults. Said horwell

all right kids it's time to go outside for the ceremony said horwell

then the kids followed their professor outside and towards the goddess statue and the headmaster was there too

all right, my children it is time for you to choose your lofwing however which ever loft wing you have will be yours forever, in order to get yours you have to stand in the center of the courtyard and you have to wait and then your bird will fly down towards you and show you you have to have a special bond said the headmaster

Cawlin's went first and then his Loftwing came down, it has a similar haircut and belt

then Groose's was second his Loftwing has a similar pompadour haircut and belt matching Groose's necklace.

then Strich's Loftwing was third has a similar bowl haircut and belt.

The fourth one was Pipit

Orielle's was number five Loftwing has hair also in braids

Number six was karane

then number seven was zelda Zelda's Loftwing has a similar golden circles belt.

last but not least was link Link's Loftwing is a special, rare breed which had previously been thought to have gone extinct. it was crimson loftwing

everyone was surprised and shocked. Zelda got a little jealous and mad and then link got on the loftwing and took off flying immediately without even a moment with instructions. the headmaster and. Horwell no that that bird was meant for link so we're the other riders and their birds.

then we see link and he lofwing went back down in the courtyard

after class was over, they were all talking about their own loftwings every day, they all took care of their own birds horwell was teaching them about how to water the birds bath feed and more later that night we see link carve wooden statue of the loftwing and place it on his nightstand and ever since he always have it with him in his room to remember the day of his loftwing many many years went by and we see them all grown up and they all graduated from their school and now they're all in the road on becoming knights as Zelda right in her diary about the events that happened when they were kids the last thing she put was

tomorrow is the wing ceremony and I'm very excited and I do hope Link wins the ceremony so he can become a real knight after the ceremony. I'm gonna ask if he can fly with me through the clouds and then that's when I'm gonna tell him my feelings for him and I hope he feels the same way because ever since we were kids I will always watch over him, protect him, and I always take care of him just like my father told me too. I better get to sleep. Tomorrow is a big day for all of us and I'm very excited to play the role of the goddess this year at the wing ceremony.

arthur's notes I thought it was necessary to include this chapter the backstory of the kids and their role as knights and their guardian birds you don't see this in the game, but I thought it was very cool that I can do this. It was very important to include the backstory of link and his parents dying because we don't know anything about that and how he got to the Knights Academy and the relationship between the mall was very important. I thought I did a good job and I'm very excited to see what's coming up next for chapter 2 thank you and you have a great day.
