A small orange lizard with a flame on it's tail was laying on the ground near a river out in the middle of nowhere.

'Ugh, what am I doing here?'

The reason for it being there was a mystery. The lizard couldn't remember a thing because of amnesia.

He slowly got up on both legs and inspected his surroundings.

'First things first, I should probably shake my head clear.'

The water in the river stopped rippling and he could see a face staring back at him.

A rabbit with a bandage on it's nose hopped over to the lizard after seeing it standing near the river.

This was a Scorbunny, a fire type Pokemon.

"Hey there." Scorbunny greeted the lizard. "I was just passing through and happened to notice you."

"Where am I?"

"Near the Open Pass." Scorbunny informed him. "Head through it and Lush Forest to get to Serene Village."

The rabbit then observed a strange trio approach the lizard.

"Would you happen to know those three?"

The lizard shook his head. He didn't know them.

Scorbunny then hopped away, leaving the four alone.

'Have I seriously been turned into a Charmander?!'

Just like Scorbunny, Charmander was also a fire type Pokemon.

'I gotta get away from those three.' Charmander thought, before running as fast as he could.

He bumped into a brown Pokemon with a leaf on it's head.

"Whoa, what's the hurry!"

Charmander was shocked to hear it speak to him.

'Did you just talk.'

He was left speechless.

"Never mind that." He shook the thoughts out of his head.

The trio then appeared out of nowhere and started to attack them as their fingers flashed.

"What in tarnation!"

Coming under attack, Charmander and the other Pokemon ran off as fast as they could.

They found themselves in a mystery dungeon.

"This here's a Mystery Dungeon. Whenever you go into one, the layout is different every time."

"It's known as the Open Pass." Charmander replied. "Before I bumped into you, a Pokemon known as Scorbunny told me that we need to get through it and Lush Forest to reach Serene Village."

"Well, that makes things easier then. Now I don't have to explain anything."

"What's your name, anyway?"

"I'm Nuzleaf, a long time resident of Serene Village." Nuzleaf introduced himself.

Both Charmander and Nuzleaf quickly got through Open Pass and Lush Forest.

"Serene Village is just over this hill."

Charmander and Nuzleaf walk along several paths as then continue towards Serene Village.
