It had been a week since Oliver was proven not to be the vigilante and Tommy could tell Laurel was extremely stressed out. She had so many cases and knew she needed some time away so he decided to surprise her and take her somewhere she always wanted to go. Africa. It was a challenge to convince Laurel to go. After a couple hours, he was finally able to convince her to go but only for the weekend. They packed their stuff and Becca's stuff and drove her over to Laurel's father's house. Him and Donna agreed to watch her for the weekend. They headed to the airport and flew out. The weekend went exactly how Tommy was hoping it would. Laurel was relaxed and smiling. This was exactly what she needed. Tommy had gotten them a nice hotel and they went exploring and got to go on a safari. It was there last night and they were eating dinner under the night sky. Laurel looked over at Tommy and took his hand smiling at him.

"This was nice. I really needed this. Thank you" Laurel said.

Tommy smiled and nodded his head. "Of course I just wanted you to get away from everything. You've been so stressed out lately. I just thought you could use a mini vacation" he said.

"You're the best husband ever you know that right" Laurel said.

Tommy leaned over the table and kissed her. "I know" he said. They went back to eating and Laurel looked up at Tommy nervously. She knew she had to tell him she just didn't want to ruin their last night in Africa. Tommy smiled at her with a big chunk of food in his mouth. He swallowed. "This is really good" he said. Laurel nodded at him but Tommy could tell something was wrong. "Hey is everything OK" he asked worried.

Laurel smiled at him and kissed him. "I'm just really happy and I love you so much" Laurel said.

Tommy looked at her confused. "I love you too" he said. He studied his wife's face trying to understand what was wrong. "Laurel whatever's going on…" Tommy started to say but Laurel got up.

"Nothing's going on. Now if you'll excuse me I have to use the bathroom" Laurel said running inside and going into the bathroom.

Tommy just sat there confused. What just happened? This was their last night in Africa and it was supposed to be a nice night. Instead something weird was going on with Laurel. Tommy thought back through their vacation. He didn't do anything that would have upset her. He had no idea what was going on with her. This trip was supposed to alleviate the stress from her and now somehow he thinks he might have just made it worse. Tommy walked into the room and over to the bathroom door. He knocked on it. "Laurel is everything OK" he asked through the door.

"Yea everything's fine. I'll be right out" Laurel called through the door. Tommy stood there for a moment contemplating if he should go in. He decided against it and walked away. In the bathroom, Laurel was sitting on the toilet bowl looking down at what was in her hands. A pregnancy test. She was pregnant. This wasn't good.

The next day, back in Starling city, Oliver and Diggle were sparing with poles. Oliver was shirtless and Diggle had on a black tank. Diggle tried to hit Oliver but Oliver moved back out of the way. "Anchor the rear hand Diggle. Come on" Oliver said as he slowly circled around Diggle.

"OK" Diggle said as he and Oliver went back to sparring. Oliver then swings one of the poles and hits Diggle across the face. Diggle groaned in pain.

"Variable acceleration. Fighters work at the same pace. You switch it up, throw your opponent off his game" Oliver said as he continued to circle Diggle.

Diggle groaned again. "That was nice. Where'd you learn that" Diggle asked.

"His name was Yao Fei" Oliver said.

"Did he give you those scars" Diggle asked pointing to the scars on Oliver's body.

"One of them" Oliver answered.

"The others" Diggle asked. Oliver didn't say anything. "You know one of these days you're going to be straight with me about what really happened on that island" Diggle said.

"Absolutely" Oliver said as him and Diggle went back to sparring. Oliver hit Diggle in the legs and he fell to the ground. "Not today though" Oliver said walking over to his desk.

"Still some pretty sweet moves" Diggle said getting up.

Oliver put the poles on the desk. "Yep. Tonight I'm going to use some on him" Oliver said hitting a button on the keyboard and picture of a man appeared on the computer. "Scott Morgan runs water and power in the glades" Oliver said as he grabbed a hoodie. "Jacks up the prices when people can't pay. Shuts them down even in the dead of winter" Oliver said as he put on the hoodie.

"Which is at least a month away" Diggle said walking up to Oliver.

"Wow" both Oliver and Diggle heard someone say. They both looked up and saw Tommy coming down the stairs. "I can't believe I actually found this place again. I haven't been here since I was poisoned with that bullet" Tommy said walking up to Oliver and Diggle.

"Tommy how was your trip" Oliver asked zipping up his hoodie.

"Good. It was good to get Laurel away for a little while although…" Tommy started to say but stopped himself.

"Although what" Oliver asked concerned.

Tommy shook his head. "I don't know. I just feel like there's something she's not telling me" he said.

"Like what" Diggle asked.

Tommy shrugged his shoulders. "That's not why I'm here" Tommy said.

"Why are you here" Oliver asked.

Tommy looked over at his friend. "I'm in" he said.

Oliver and Diggle looked at each other confused. "Into what" Diggle asked.

"I've decided to join your team" Tommy said he started walking around and looking at everything in the liar.

"I thought you wanted nothing to do with this" Oliver said.

Tommy nodded looking at a couple of arrow's Oliver had out. "I didn't but I thought about it and you're right" Tommy said now turning to look at Oliver. "This city is a dangerous place and you're trying to make it better. I want to be a part of that" Tommy said.

"Are you sure? I don't think Laurel…" Oliver started to say but Tommy shook his head.

"Laurel can't know. I think I understand why you've been so hesitant to tell Felicity about all this. It would just put her in danger just like it would Laurel. I want to help but not at the expensive of my family. Laurel and Becca stay out of this" Tommy said. Oliver nodded and held out his hand. Tommy shook it.

"Welcome to the team" Oliver said.

Diggle walked over to Oliver. "Can I talk to you for a second" Diggle asked. Oliver walked to the corner of the room with Diggle. "I don't think this is a good idea" he said.

Oliver shook his head. "It's fine we can trust Tommy" he said.

"I'm not worried about being able to trust him. I'm worried about him getting seriously hurt or something. He is a father after all" Diggle said.

"That's exactly why I have to help you guys. To make this city safer for Laurel and our daughter" Tommy said.

"Well we're happy to have you" Oliver said.

Tommy smiled at them. "Good because I think I have our first targets" Tommy said throwing a file on the desk. Diggle picked it up and started to read it. "These guys started at keystone 3 years ago, then began moving west, hitting banks along the way. This morning they hit Starling city trust" Tommy said.

"They shot an off duty cop" Diggle said.

"He worked with Quentin. Me and Laurel found out when we landed a couple hours ago. Quentin's very upset" Tommy said.

"He's in a coma and the doctors are saying it's a coin toss whether he'll make it" Tommy said.

"If he's a cop SCPD will be all over it" Oliver said.

Tommy looked at him confused. "I'm sorry but isn't this what you do? Take down bad guys in the city and stop crime" he asked.

"The cops have it handled" Oliver said.

"They're overwhelmed, underfunded. Listen these guys don't hit one time. They hit 2 or 3 banks per city which means right now they're planning their next job" Diggle said.

"I think you guys have the wrong impression about what it is I do" Oliver said.

"You take out bad guys with a bow and arrow" Diggle said.

"Yea you stop crime and this is a crime" Tommy said.

"I don't fight street crime. That's a symptom of what's wrong with this city. I'm trying to cure the disease" Oliver said walking over to his desk and taking out his father's book. He flipped through it.

"CEO's and crooked entrepreneurs I get it. Listen Oliver, I'm just saying maybe you can make a difference if you think beyond the scopes of those pages. I'm sure your father wouldn't mind" Diggle said. Tommy looked over at the book in Oliver's hand.

"No you don't get it. My father died so that I could live. Live and make a difference by fixing the city that he and the people in this book ruined. Every name that I cross off this list honors that sacrifice" Oliver said turning to Diggle.

"Oliver there is more than one way to save this city" Tommy said.

"Not for me. Crime happens in this city every day. What do you want me to do? Stop all of it" Oliver asked turning to Tommy.

"What I want is you to stop these guys before they hurt someone like Laurel or Felicity because they will. They would kill either one of them without thinking twice about it" Tommy said stepping closer to Oliver. The two men stared each other down.

"It sounds like you have a narrow definition of being a hero" Diggle said. He walked away leaving Oliver and Tommy standing there.

"I'm not a hero" Oliver said.

Tommy nodded. "Fine then don't be a hero. Be someone who does the right thing" Tommy said. He held out his hand. "Can I see that book" he asked. Oliver sighed and handed it over. Tommy flipped through the book looking for a name.

"If you're looking for your father's name he's not on there. I checked multiple times" Oliver said.

Tommy looked up at Oliver and gave him the book back. "That gang is funded by my father. You should look into it" Tommy said walking out of the liar.

Lian Yu

Oliver laid in the cave by the fire. He picked up his father's book and ripped out a page. He threw the page into the fire. All of a sudden someone grabbed him. Oliver looked up and couldn't believe what he was seeing. His father was standing above him. "Dad" Oliver said in shock getting up and running to the other side of the cave. Oliver stared at his father in disbelief. It couldn't really be him, could it?
