Welcome back to this insanity guys. Anyway, we are in the holiday season and now is as good of time to update 'Book 2' as any time. So, here we go.

I want to thank everyone who has read, faved, followed, alerted or reviewed so far. And this time we only had one reviewer so let's do it: CB73, Stevie is beyond paying attention. He is focused on making the sidekick stay for another year or three so that he can get the boosters some more trophies (and money-making bets). An awakening is coming for the former football coach. Kim doesn't have all the information that not only Felix has but Wilma Joad either. The FBI better pay attention, or they will be interviewing themselves for data on the bad guys.

I want to thank CajunBear73 and Jimmy1201 for editing my chapters (Jimmy did this one BTW…he does the even ones and CB does the odd).

So, let's get this one on the road.

The Hunter: Book Two

Chapter 66

Federal Office Building, Upperton, Colorado:

Special Agent Paul Torcher held the elevator door for the crutches using school administrator as he limped along. Steve Barkin was slightly sweating as he entered the Otis Elevator before Agent Torcher pushed the button for the fifth floor after he inserted a key into the control panel and turned it.

Torcher explained, "Several floors have restricted access and ours is one. We do not want a member of a criminal enterprise who we are investigating coming up here with the chance of endangering the investigative team by shooting up the place."

"I thought all the work you do was out in the open?" Barkin inquired as the doors opened up and Torcher exited the lift with Barkin following him.

They walked halfway down the hall (which had mirrors along the walls…AN) until they came to a solid door which had a keypad on it. The FBI agent punched in six numbers and then put his thumb on a glowing red light. There was a soft beep and Barkin could hear locks being disengaged. When the metallic sounds ended Torcher pulled up on the door handle and pushed.

Barkin observed out loud, "Don't you push down on the door lever agent?"

"Most do, but it sends a lockdown signal through the security system. We take security seriously here. The silent alarm goes off and you will see M16s pointed at your face before you know it," Torcher responded.

Barkin coughed, "Almost wish we had something like that in the Corps."

Torcher glanced at the teacher then lied, "They might have something like that in embassies, at least that is the rumor."

"I could ask some of my old Marine buddies…."

"If they could tell you anything about their security at embassies around the world. Who would want to go to Leavenworth for that?"

"Why would someone have to go to prison over something like that?" Barkin asked out loud.

"Security measures of our embassies? Are you kidding? You were in the military Barkin, did you just start flapping your jaws about stuff that could compromise people's lives?", Torcher shot back, "If an information leak is traced back to an individual I am sure he or she will be answering some very tough questions. THIS is the job of the FBI, we run security clearances on people, we hunt down bank robbers, kidnappers and terrorists we do a damned fine job if I say so myself," Torcher explained as he entered a large room and then turned to walk towards his large office (which he shared with other agents).

Special Agent Christy Waco waved Torcher over as Barkin tagged along. She didn't care about having the flat-topped ingrate near her and asked, "Who's your puppy Torcher?"

"The Vice principal at Middleton High boss."

She asked (she already knew), "His name Twerkin or something?"

"Nah, Agent Waco this is Vice Principal Steve Barkin. Mister Barkin this is Special Agent Christy Waco, though in the office she's known as Wacko Dog or Crazy Dog. She's had some pretty nasty take downs," Torcher introduced the two.

Barkin offered his hand, she stared at the appendage and nodded with, "My kid plays for Upperton High; I remember what you did to them with your old mascot. You embarrassed my kid asshole."

"I don't remember a player's name of Waco in that game…."

"He is using his father's sir name…he and I are divorced, and my son lives with me, his father is out of state. My son was run over by the kid who wore number seven. Excuse me I have other matters to attend to."

Torcher glanced at the former Marine, "Well, it looks like the boss isn't one of your fans Barkin and she will be even more than pleased if you are requesting secure information about that same student."

"We played almost a perfect game against them…and never mind about Stoppable, Middleton High has plans for him.", Barkin cryptically stated.

Torcher walked into his office and motioned for Barkin to take a seat.

"Oh, what kind of plans?" the agent inquired.

"Since he is suspended through the end of the school year, I have asked if he return to school and take two hours of detention a night and take a full load of summer school then take his final semester in the fall. I think that would be appropriate to make sure that punk learned his lesson and got enough credits to graduate," Steve Barkin touted his idea while not seeing a flaw in it.

"How old is the kid Barkin?" Agent Torcher inquired as one of the other agents brought two coffees in and set them down on the desk.

"Seventeen…I think, he might be fifteen though…."

"So, if he's seventeen…when is Stoppable's birthday? Come to think of it….doesn't he drive his mother's car?"

"Don't know, it doesn't matter…."

"Yeah it does, if he turns eighteen before the fall semester he doesn't have to return to school and since he is now the guardian for his sister I can see where time to take care of her and go to school and hold down a job to support her…shit he has to sleep sometime."

"His education should be first…."

Torcher pointed out the elephant in the room, "And football goes along with that, right?"

"Well of course. If that punk kid is in school, we would expect him to contribute on the grid iron as any patriotic Marine would," Barkin agreed.

"So, this kid who you think is unprepared to take on the challenges of crap that life has tossed at him, you also think of him as a trained infantryman. Is that correct?" the agent inquired.

"He is not as capable as a true Marine…a hero..."

Torcher grinned evilly, "I agree, except he was in on breaking up that take over the world attempt by that blue guy. But on another note, what do you think about stolen valor Mister Barkin?"

"Stolen valor?" Steve seemed confused by the term.

"Yes, people taking credit for things they accomplished in the military which they didn't, an example of this would be attaining a rank they didn't or be in a branch of military when they weren't. Unfortunately, it isn't against the law at this time, but there are some veterans' groups pushing for a law, frankly I think a person doing that ought to spend a couple years in the pen," the FBI agent explained.

Barkin narrowed one eye, "Being decorated combat veteran, I would say if it doesn't bother me why should it bother you?"

"My wife's brother was killed by a roadside bomb in Iraq that's why," the agent responded, "If some clown falsely claimed the valor that my brother-in-law earned then he ought to spend time in behind bars and be publicly chastised for being a fraud."

"As for being a Marine I suppose I can see your point, but Stoppable sure didn't deserve all those trophies, awards and attention he received playing ball for us."

"Did the kid show up and do what he was assigned to do Barkin?"

The teacher snarled, "Barely, he has been a torn in my side for years. He's just a whiney little bug who deserves to be crushed…"

"Why did he go out for the sport then?" Agent Torcher asked.

"Doctor Possible, the rocket scientist, asked me to get him on the team to keep the punk away from his daughter. He gave us some used lab equipment for the school to use. I could have used the punk to carry water, it was just a surprise to us he was able to run. I guess being a scared punk kid can make you fast."

"I suppose it can Mister Barkin," Agent Torcher agreed since he had spoken with Ron Stoppable and Doctor James Possible and the teen had basically mentioned the same thing and so did the rocket scientist, "But you have to wonder what kind of 'punk' this kid is when he has met kings and queens and has basically helped stopped the destruction of Middleton, Colorado last spring….you'd have to wonder just how scared he is and who he is going to shit on before mush longer."

"Oh, you mean that little thing from last spring, Force Recon could have done the job faster and cleaner…."

"But they didn't did they?", the agent inquired, "But then neither did Delta Force and you'd think they'd be on top of it."

"Ah no. Possible did make it back to the prom however, and the first Eric didn't return with her, she brought that idiot sidekick with her."

"I know, I saw the video," the agent replied as other agents filed into the office.

Torcher looked around as the door was shut then he announced, "Mister Barkin we are informing you that you are a subject in a federal and state investigation. You are not being arrested at this point, but we are notifying you that when you meet with us you should have your legal counsel with you to protect your rights. Oh, and before you even think about not appearing when we call you, if you do not come in…you will in cuffs if necessary."

Steve Barkin looked confused as he thought he was going to get information about what Ronald Dean Stoppable was up to so he could pressure the teen to return to Middleton in the fall. Then he slapped his hand down on the tabletop and accused, "You lured me here."

Agent Torcher responded to the now red-faced school administrator, "Your principal had us call you because you demanded certain information that we deem is classified. We, of course, couldn't reveal that information into an investigation we are pursuing into Mister Barkin. Detailed information about inside information into maybe you and others. The only reason that we felt confident at this point is that we have done the preliminary work and are going to call in witnesses to a grand jury. As I have said you are a subject of this investigation and as yet not a target….you do not want to be a target because then you are subject to litigation, that means we would arrest you, put you in cuffs and go into court. Let that sink in. You may now speak if you desire, but I highly suggest you have a lawyer with you because if we catch you lying to us that is a federal crime. You see we already have a significant amount of information that we are already confirming. Now what are you going to do Mister Barkin."

"As a patriotic Marine I think I need some time to think this over and give you an answer," Steve Barkin responded.

With a shit eating grin, Agent Torcher opened up his desk drawer and pulled out a file (an obvious military 201 file) and began to leaf through it.

The former Marine turned his head sideways then snapped, "Where did you get that?"

"The Records Center in Saint Louis, you just have to go through official channels…but you know that don't you Barkin since you were basically a clerk typist in the Corps."

[Jimmy: his 201 file or Official Military Personnel File, holds all the details of Steve Barkins military career. Things like training record, awards, where he was assigned, the specific job he did, etc. I suspect that Stevie was claiming to be more than a "clerk-typist." To be fair, all marines are considered to be riflemen no matter what their specialty was.]

"I…."

"Sir, unless you wish to make a statement I advise you to take the ride home that we will provide and call your ambulance chaser and get his advice, because I think you are too far into this thing that we are investigating to even completely consider how your life may soon change."

"The information here is a very compelling tale about a Marine hero."

"But…."

"But nothing, this really doesn't mean anything to us other than certain people…let's say…expand the truth and it really doesn't have anything to do with our investigation although the United States Marine Corps may have a different view."

The vice principal pulled his thoughts together while mentally sighing relief that they weren't going to hang him by his toes. Stevie still wanted to know some secrets about Ron Stoppable and what he was doing with the FBI, "But what are you investigating?"

"We're not going to say anything more about Ronald Stoppable until you're ready to answer questions," Torcher warned.

"I…I will think about your offer then," Steve Barkin responded as one of the agents helped him out of his chair.

An hour later:

Special Agent Lester Shimble brought his phone up to his ear and listened then snaped his phone closed and yelled, "Let's move it, Stoppable was just attacked."

Several agents jumped out of their seats and began to race for the door.

XXX

Middleton Park:

"Come on sis let's head into work you've had enough time to burn off some steam," the blond teen told his raven-haired baby sister as he picked her up to walk back to the parking lot.

A group of four men stepped in front of the teen as he came to the parking lot. One of them pulled a semi-automatic pistol out of his pocket. "Good to see you punk, we have a message for you and your little sister," one of the men announced.

Ron turned his body so that he would be between Hanna and the firearm then inquired, "What do you want with me? I don't have hardly any money."

"We don't care about your pissy assed money; YOU are going to be in Middleton High next year….AND play football," the smaller man told Ron.

"I'm graduating, so I won't have to come back…."

"Your kid would look funny with her head split open like a cantaloupe," the man threatened, "Charles, execute her…"

Wide-eyed, Ron spun around, and said over his shoulder, "You leave my sister out of this. You kill her and I will hunt you down and erase you."

"We're not scared of you punk; we just think you're a little too tied down and we know one way to end this."

Ron warned, "If you kill Hanna, you'd better know that I won't be back except with a sword to cut your heads off. Then my friends will kill me, then your families and friends and your dogs and anyone who you knew ten years ago."

(AN…Ron knew he had a modest chance at killing everyone he was facing if he didn't have Hanna Stoppable in his arms, but she was, and he knew that as fast as he was, he knew he couldn't be in two places at the same time.)

"Kid, I can put a bullet through the baby's head, you either deal with us or you bury her…your choice."

Sigh, "Okay, exactly what do you want?"

"We want you to come back to Middleton High next year and play football, you keep your trap shut about this and no one gets hurt 'cept maybe your ego."

"I'm due to graduate…."

"You've been suspended, your grade point is tanked, and you won't be back till after the school year is over. It didn't sound to the boss like you are leaving good ole Middleton High. Smacking Barkin around wasn't your best choice…play ball with us and maybe we'll let ya stay around for more years than Flagg," the man chuckled.

"How can you do that?"

"Think of you being sixteen again punk, we would've made you fifteen, but then you couldn't drive. Now take the offer or we pop the munchkin."

Ron frowned, then nodded, "Alright, you have me, but I am moving to Lowerton in the summer. Wouldn't that draw attention?"

"You will work it out punk, all our boss cares about are results."

Sigh, "I guess I can find a way…."

"Good, now your sister will live, and so will that gimp who you live with now," the man chuckled as he nodded to the one holding the Glock.

That man simply squeezed the trigger.

Click.

"You were lucky this time punk, don't screw with the boss or your friends will disappear. We don't care who they are."

With that the group left Ron standing as he began to tremble as the men walked over to three cars. As they sped out of the parking lot the former Middleton Mad Dog began to increase his trembling. Then fell down to his knees and began to shake violently.

From his cargo pants pocket Ron felt his Kimmunicator vibrate.

From Ron's sister, "Page!"

SLAP

"Owww lil intruder, shit I wonder who's calling?" Ron asked as he rubbed his cheek.

The Kimmunicator vibrated again. Ron pulled the annoying device out of his pants and pushed the 'connect' button and asked, "Yeah?"

"Ron, Wade, I notified what was going down to the authorities and the FBI and police are on the way. Is your sister alright?", Wade inquired.

Sigh, "Hanna is fine, I think I peed myself though. I thought that guy was gonna shoot her…."

"Ron, I recorded it all. Just sit there and relax as best you can," Wade cautioned.

"Yeah Wade, I'm gonna sit here a few minutes and collect my wits," Ron responded as he held onto Hanna tightly.

"Gotcha Ron, I'm sorta shook up here too, I can imagine how you feel."

"Thanks Wade listen can you call up the diner? I think I'm going to be a few minutes late for my shift."

"Do you want me to tell them what happened Ron?"

"No, I'll do it when they get here," the blond teen told his friend then added, "I can hear sirens in the distance."

"Yeah, in a couple of minutes the first cops will be there. I'll monitor Ron, if ya need me just ask…you don't have to call or anything."

"Yeah, thanks Wade…."

"Do you want me to notify Kim?"

"And have Eric…well he wouldn't be in school since he's suspended too. I hope he has to make up all his homework, but no Kim has no need to catch wind of this. She has a private life and so do I. I don't pry on hers she doesn't need to know what is going on in mine," Ron responded.

Two squad cars pulled up and their officers hopped out. "You alright Son?", the cop's whose name was Delaney asked as Officer Wilmar jogged over to Ron and Hanna.

Wilmar stated, "We received a call from your tech guy Ron, what happened?"

"Me and Hanna were here at the playground and when we were leaving some men stopped us and threatened Sis and me…they pointed a gun at her Sir," Ron explained.

"Ron did you do anything to provoke them…I have to ask…," Officer Wilmar pulled Ron away from the other policemen.

"No, man one guy pulled the trigger, but the gun was empty…I thought he was gonna shoot Hanna. Man, I feel sick.

"Here sit down and breathe, you look like you're gonna have a heart attack," Wilmar ordered as a female officer offered to take Hanna from the former Mad Dog. Hanna raised her arms up to the female officer and Ron obliged before he sank down.

"Yeah, yeah, just a second Officer Wilmar I'm trying to get my shit together," Ron said after he landed on his ass on the ground.

"Talk to me Ron."

"Like I said I was letting Hanna burn off some steam, we just got back from Japan and she was cooped up on the airplane and really didn't get a chance to run around and play…anyway we were coming back to the," Ron paused and watched as unmarked government cars came skidding to a halt in the parking lot.

Ron concluded the conversation with Officer Wilmar, "I guess I'd better wait for my formal debrief now."

Agent Torcher knelt down, "What the hell happened Ron?"

"Guys with guns pointed at Sis, they want me to go back to Middleton in the fall and play football or they said they were gonna pop Hanna. Like I told Agent Grimes earlier today if someone comes after Hanna there is gonna be a body count once I catch them and I will catch them. There's gonna be five missing person cases when I figure out who threatened her, right now they'd better hope you find them first," Ron warned.

"Listen kid, you need to calm down…."

"Wade?" Ron asked aloud.

"Yeah Ron?"

The blond teen's eyes narrowed, "Contact Yamanouchi and let them know someone threatened the life of Lord Toshimiru's granddaughter and if they want me to, I will engage in retaliation once I have identified the targets. They will not be happy with the news, and neither will the FBI when they find out a ninja is operating in Middleton, Colorado, USA. and they will be less pleased when they find out that I just called for assistance from the pros."

"Ron are you sure?" Wade inquired.

"No, but my primary concern is Hanna and Kim Possible, something happens to me Yori and Hirotaka will want heads and since I am Hanna's primary care giver you can guess who would be at the top of the list."

"Who are this Yori and Hirotaka?" Torcher inquired.

"They are my handlers with Yamanouchi," was Ron's response, "Listen maybe we'd better go somewhere so no one can listen in to what I am gonna lay down to you and I think Yamanouchi is gonna want to be in on this."

The teen's Kimmunicator went, "BLEEP."

"Yeah Wade, I have Yamanouchi on the line, they wanna talk to you before they decide to do anything."

Ron looked at the FBI agent who pointed to a park bench under a tree about fifty yards away, "Give us five minutes Wade and make sure Sensei knows the FBI is gonna listen in."

"Ron they are hearing everything through your unit right now so go ahead, they owe you something since you took care of the Yono and the demon's threat to Japan," Wade responded as Torcher glared at Ron.

"Great okay I'm up and walking to a place where we can talk with a good enough chance that no one will hear us or bother us," Ron told Wade (as well as whoever was listening in Japan).

X

"Okay Wade, me and Agent Torcher are mostly secluded, who's on the line from Yamanouchi?" Ron asked as the teen and the FBI agent got to the bench.

"This is Yori Ron-san," a female's voice announced herself.

"This is Agent Torcher miss…."

"Misses," Yori corrected, "I am recently wed."

Ron observed, "She got married to Hiro a few days ago, Yori, I thought you guys would be on a well-deserved honeymoon by now. How are the injuries." Then to the agent he filled in information, "That's kinda why we didn't come home on the GJ hover. Of course, I didn't want asswipe Eric to even be on the same continent as she is."

"Ron-san, I am recovered, I greatly appreciate you healing me. Is Kim Possible well, you expended a lot of energy healing her."

Ron rubbed the back of his neck, "Since I don't live close to her now and I've been suspended from school I really haven't had time to talk with her."

"You know what Sensei wants do you not?" Yori inquired, "Toshimiru is very tired, he is looking for you to be his protégée and his replacement. Kim-san is foretold to be your one."

"Yori, I am not sure I am cut out to be immortal, it's bad enough doing the reincarnation gig. Anyway, in this life Kim is allergic to me and remember she has someone else special to her, you even met the sniveling snot. I am not going to make her unhappy in any way," the former Middleton Mad Dog responded as the agent heard this whole exchange and knew he was going to have to ask Ron some very pointed questions without anyone else around.

Ron continued, "Anyway, the reason I had Wade call you is that some guys here leaned on me to stay in Middleton next fall and go to school…..One of them pointed a gun at your niece and there was nothing I could do without her getting shot."

Yori's voice turned ice cold, "You were not able to prevent this Ronald Stoppable?"

"Ah, no, Hanna was in my arms, and they had guns, and I was on foot. If I wasn't carrying her at the time I would've had a chance," Ron tried to explain then asked, "I know you guys are kinda trying to put things back together, but I could use some backup here Yori…."

"We have no one to spare at this moment Mister Stoppable, you will have to make do for the foreseeable future. We had more injuries and damage to the school than we first thought, which is why Hirotaka, and I haven't left on our honeymoon yet."

Our hero could feel the annoyance of his friend, so he inquired, "Where is Sensei?"

"We discovered after our battle with the Yono that there were villages also damaged from the extended scope of the battle, he has taken a group of graduates to help alleviate the problems those residents face. He should be back in a couple of weeks," Yori informed Ron, "Classes here will not resume until spring now. This will give us a chance to rebuild our defenses."

"Has there been any sightings of Monkey Fist Yori?"

"No, and his minions have wandered away from the school."

"Minions?" Agent Torcher inquired.

"Who am I speaking with please?" Yori asked.

"FBI Special Agent Paul Torcher Ma'am," the agent answered.

"Thank you, I will notify Sensei about the attack and threat to Hanna, but it will be Stoppable-san's honor to defend her with your life until we send aid. Just so you should know it might be a month before any assistance may reach you. As for the minions, they are monkey ninjas and without Monkey Fist to command them they are of no consequence."

"Thanks, it's about as much help as I'm used to Yori. Have a good honeymoon with Hiro," Ron responded.

Wade's voice came through Ron's unit after he finished with the lithe shinobi, "I have gotten into the security camera data base and am downloading all their data for today into my servers. Hopefully, I will be able to find out who these guys are. Agent Torcher, once I have the images the information, I will send it to your office, will that work for you?"

"Ah Wade, is it? I'm not sure how you got into security data bases, but we'd like to look at the raw data if you can get it to us."

The boy chuckled, "I'll send it to your computers Agent."

"Uh, do you want my agency email then?"

"Uh no, I'll send you notification on where I put it."

"Son you are wasting your time, those are very secure servers…."

"Yes Sir, to most people they are, but I am Wade Load. Excuse me I have to continue looking."

Officer Wilmar joined Ron and the FBI guy, "Tell us the whole thing Ron."

"Okay, you guys were there when I got suspended from school. Later that day after work I met with Yori, and we flew to China to check something out and we got a hint to go to Japan which is where Yamanouchi is located. After we were there, I figured Hanna needed to burn off some steam since she had been cooped up on an airplane, so we were playing when all sorts of weirdo shit went down, with Fist and this monkey demon named Yono the Destroyer. After I kicked the crap out of the monkey ninjas, I took on Monkey Fist and had him beat. I turned my attention at the demon when something happened."

Wilmar asked, "What happened?"

"I'm not sure but before I know it, I'm facing the Yono again and this time he backs down then Monty turns into a statue and sinks into the ground. Then I went to help the doctors with all the injured. Kim was injured and she's alright now I guess; well, she was the last time I saw her. Then she and Eric flew back on the hover, and I stayed because Hanna and I were invited to Yori's wedding. Then after Yori and Hiro entered marital bliss me and sis flew back here to Middleton on their jet," Ron explained.

Yori's voice came through, "And you were attacked by men a little while ago, correct?"

"I thought you hung up Yori, but yeah, I guess it was about a half hour after Agent Grimes got finished speaking with me over there (Ron pointed to where he and Agent Grimes had their talk). I mean how did those guys even know who I was, I usually slip in the radar so to speak," Ron asked the question that he knew someone was going to ask so he beat them to it.

"If Doctor Load finds any information about them have him forward it to us, I will disconnect now," Yori informed Ron.

"Guys I don't wanna piss her off too much Hanna is her niece and Sis is a citizen of both Japan and the United States.

Torcher frowned, "I do not know and until we question the men that accosted you, we may not know any answers unless we find them."

"Fair enough, but you understand that if I find the guy with the gun you won't have to worry about him," Ron turned very serious with the statement.

"Ron," Jason Wilmar advised the blond teen, "don't make threats…."

"Sir, that wasn't a threat…that was a promise that I am entirely capable of making sure it happens. Until Sis is able to defend herself then it is up to big brother to make these special circumstances disappear."

Hanna took that opportunity to say, "B…b…brudder."

Ron grinned, "First time she said that."

Torcher asked, "How old is she?"

"Mom and Dad adopted Sis when she was about nine months, so I guess a little older than a year and a half," Ron responded.

Torcher inquired, "Is that all she can do?"

Ron whispered, "Watch this," he then took his sister from the Policewoman then said, "Hanna page."

"PAGE!"

SLAP

The blond teen's head spun to the side as there was a red handprint on his cheek.

Jason Wilmar asked, "Are you alright Ron?"

"Yeah, I can fight a genetically enhanced kung fu master and some kind of a monkey demon and beat them…I think I can take a little abuse from a toddler."

Wilmar shook his head, "She dented your face…."

"Kim Possible dented it a couple of times too if you remember," Ron agreed, "Anyway, it'll be okay in a little while."

"Listen Ron, let us worry about those guys…."

"The next time I see them those clowns might kill Hanna and no one in Middleton wants that and gets a bunch of assassins in the city looking for someone to make an object lesson out of. As good as Kim Possible is she won't last five minutes with them."

Wilmar nodded, "I agree we leave Possible out of this one, but we really need to bring Doctor Possible up to speed before this gets outta hand. I have a feeling he can influence Ron here."

Ron groaned, "If we don't get this fixed, I am gonna end up spending the rest of my life in this God forsaken town. I don't plan on selling my villa just because of this and I don't have a way of making real money in Middleton because of Martin Smarty."

Agent Torcher asked, "What is all this about?"

Ron rolled his eyes, "Okay it started out like this….

[Jimmy, the feds will learn about all kinds of shady, if not downright illegal, things happening in Middletown if they listen to Ron…]

The current Stolen Valor Act did not become law until 2013, at this point in the story we are at the spring of 2007 or about 6 years before. The Stolen Valor Act of 2005 made it only a misdemeanor if someone claimed that he earned various awards.
