It was now nighttime in the kingdom of the acorn. Many of its denizens, its civilians, the people of the castle, the guards and knights and all the other citizens, were in a state of calm. For the king and queen, their daughter was home, the princess of the kingdom. Sally had returned from the chaos of Soleanna, her friends and her were safe.
Alas, peace did not last that long. Outside, Eggman was approaching, his massive ship, the Whale Shark, descending down upon the town, casting a shadow. Its presence would not go unnoticed. Soon, the citizens would be alerted of the danger. The invasion had begun.
And the first stage was the seizing of the two Chaos Emeralds. One of which was still in the custody of the king. He had his guard, escorting him, bringing the Emeralds, both of the ones that had been gathered so far, to a specific, saferoom.
They had to get there. It was urgent. They needed to escape and secure the emeralds. Unfortunately, they were in trouble, as they would be stopped. Right in the middle of their trek to the room, they would have a huge, giant obstacle. A metal gate had been lowered. It came crashing to the ground and sealed off their path. A barricade, a barrier to keep them out.
Suddenly, a loud rumbling sound echoed throughout the halls and shook the floor. The vibrations from that tremor would cause dust to fall from the ceiling. The gates were forced shut, blocking their way to safety.
"What is this?" The King asked. Then, a large, metallic, floating drone-like sphere, a sentry of some kind was deployed. Emerging from it, were a trio of Buzz Bombers, insect-like badniks. These robot creatures were armed with stinger tails, their abdomens contained a gun. And these were the enemies that had to be faced. Now that they knew of their situation, the guards had to take action. The soldiers drew their weapons, raising swords, shields, bows and arrows. They would not allow these robots to reach the Emeralds. They were the defenders of their nation and its capital city. And now they would protect the Emeralds, at any cost.
"This must be that Eggman character! We cannot take the Emerald to the Special Zone as long as he is here. He must out of be our sight as soon as possible!" King Maximillian said to the guards and soldiers, and they nodded.
Their plan had been to get the emerald away from here and into the zone. Unfortunately, the doctor had other plans in mind. With the gate blocking the way, their options were limited. However, a group of soldiers quickly devised another strategy, one that would hopefully save the emeralds from being taken by the enemy.
"What?!" Sally woke up in her room, feeling the vibrations of the ground, having a feeling that something was wrong. "No..." She gasped. Immediately, the Princess of the Acorn Kingdom ran out of the room and rushed downstairs.
As she was running, a thought popped in her head. If the Emerald was in the palace, that would mean that the place is in grave danger, and that the kingdom was in peril, not to mention the entire city. She then realized something, that her family was in jeopardy, that the lives of her mother and father were in danger.
"Princess Sally!" One of the handmaidens of the royal family ran to her, seeing the young woman rushing downstairs. "This way, quickly! Come on!"
"Oh no..." She would think. "Mother...Father.!" She would follow the maid, the two hurrying along, making sure the princess would stay safe. The princess would come to the foyer, and the maids and the other staff would make their way to the entrance.
Sally was panicking, but the maidens and the other servants of the royal castle did not seem fazed, the alarms had been sounded. At the moment, the rest of the royal family, her parents and her, were the main concern. The guards and knights, the ones that would normally defend the kingdom were the ones in danger right now. Not just the guards, but the citizens.
The walls would be blasted open and through them were several of the doctor's creations. More of those Buzz Bomber robots from before, and a new type. This new model of badniks was in the form of crabs. Crabmeats, with the ability to launch their claws at their opponents. There were a few more of the Motobugs, and the Motohusks. It was an attack, the assault was starting. It would only get worse, as in the distance, the sounds of cannon fire would be heard, the blasts impacting the outer defenses of the castle. Another shot fired, and a wall would be blasted open again.
The entire kingdom was in dissarray because of Eggman's attacks, and it seemed like his forces had grown since the incident of the Festival of the Sun. And that meant he was getting bolder.
"Down here, Princess!" A guard would yell to her, the explosions shaking the building, causing everyone to panic. People were screaming and shouting, and the whole castle was in disarray. There was nothing that anyone could do about the situation. Except to try and run for cover. Guards and knights were doing everything they can to fend the attackers. They were even taking on the Crabmeats and the Motohusks. While they weren't as powerful or as deadly, the sheer numbers of them made it difficult to fight, and the fact that there was an aerial bombardment from the Whale Shark didn't help matters either.
There was no chance to stop and think or pause to analyze the situation. The priority at the moment, was to get the Princess to safety, to evacuate her. They were trying their best to find a safe route, a way to get her to safety. That was their top priority at the moment, and that's exactly what the maids and the others would attempt. To guide her to safety, and get her away from the battle. However, at that moment, the doors of the front entrance would blast open.
Through it, was a squadron of badniks, marching forward. They were a force of Crabmeats and Motobugs. The guards were quick to act, and the maids would rush her away. They needed to take a different exit, and fast. There were a few windows in the main foyer. Some of the maids, however, would be in trouble. A couple of the crab bots, and a few of the robotic bugs would jump to them and restrain the maids, the female servants. Their arms were restrained and they were brought to the floor. "Ahh! Help!"
"Oh, great chaos..." Sally was horrified at the sight. "We need to save them!" The girl exclaimed, looking around for something that would help her, but it was no use. There wasn't much that she could do. "We can't just leave them to that maniac!" The princess would plead to the guards and her personal handmaiden. "Let me go!"
"Your Highness, no! Please, understand that we have no choice! Your life is in grave danger!" A soldier told her, and a guard would pick her up and carry her off. "Come on, let's move!" He commanded to his allies. The remaining knights and soldiers would follow the leader of the pack, running and carrying the struggling princess, who wanted to go back and save the captured maids.
"To the dungeons. There is a tunnel in there that leads outside. We will escape from there." The knight captain would say, the group heading towards the basement, and to the dungeons below. Sally was still resisting, kicking her feet and struggling in the grip of the soldier that was carrying her, but it would be useless.
The men would have to force the Princess to cooperate. In order to protect the future of the Acorn Kingdom, she must live. They had to make her listen, had to get her out of the vicinity. It was their duty to the king and queen. The fate of the entire kingdom rested on her shoulders. Her life was more important than any single person or anything else. Even if she did not agree, the safety and security of her and her parents came first.
And that is why, despite the protests, they would ignore them, and continue to run and carry her to the dungeons, where they would have to try and get her out of there and into safety. They would reach the stairs, the door leading down to the basement, and the dungeons, would be kicked down, and the soldiers would descend downwards.
Unfortunately, that was when the maids that remained would feel a sudden shift in pressure, a sudden change in the air and temperature. The girls, bound and on their knees would be looking upwards. And what they saw was terrifying.
A giant robot in the form of an armadillo. One of Eggmans creations. An elite creation, and a larger one. Larger and more intimidating, and clearly stronger and tougher. This one was equipped with drills on its sides, and the spikes that lined its shell were longer.
The robot's size was enough to fill a small room. It's red eyes were a bright, glowing shade of crimson. Its body was completely made out of a metallic armor, its face was covered in an armored plating. The machine had two massive claws and its hands were large, bulky and heavy.
On its back, the bot was armed with two long and flexible tendrils that could extend to incredible lengths.
The name of this creation was known as Shredder. And the machine was going to be a threat. Especially for the maids, and for the guards, and even the royals. As the maids were held and restrained, the monster would raise its claw.
And with a swing of the drill-tipped arm, the metal on the floor of the castle would have a hole blown open. The debris and pieces of stone and wood flew, the dust and smoke from the destruction of the castle walls were scattered. A gaping opening in the ground had been opened up. And the screams of the maids would echo throughout the hallways, as the Crabmeats and Motohusks dragged the helpless girls away. Where, unbeknownst to the captives, were the knights and soldiers and the Princess herself.
"Keep quiet, your highness." One of the soldiers whispered, the men and women keeping silent, hiding in a corner. The squad of Badniks would approach. Their robotic steps would clank and thud on the metal floors, echoing loudly in the darkened, damp and dirty dungeons. "If that madman knows you are here, he will kill you. Or worse." He added. They were right. If that man were to know that the Princess was down here, in the dungeons of her own palace, she would surely suffer a horrible fate. One that the soldiers and her personal maid did not wish to imagine.
They would manage to avoid the Shredder, running off once more to ensure Sally's safety.
They kept moving, reaching another part of the hallways. There, they spotted the Queen, her own personal guards, and the king himself, the blue Chaos Emerald in his hand, ready to be taken to the Special Zone. Unfortunately, at that moment, a wall was blasted apart, the rubble flying and scattering. And emerging from it, were a pair of humanoid robots.
They went were the Egg Pawns, in the color schemes of orange and black.
"Mother! Father!" Sally ran towards her parents. The soldiers would surround her, to protect her from the badniks that emerged. However, at that moment, the doctor would emerge. Standing atop of a hovering platform of sorts. His presence caused a hush to fall over the group. Everyone was silent. Then the mad scientist spoke, and his voice boomed throughout the hall.
"Hohohho! Surprise! I'm glad to be in the great Kingdom of Acorn itself. Of course, I'll be even more glad once it becomes a part of my soon-to-be Eggman Empire!"
"You! How dare you! First you attack my daughter and attempt to kidnap here back at Soleanna and now you're attacking my kingdom and holding my people hostage?! Leave this instant or else we shall resort to drastic measures, villain." King Maximillian roared.
The doctor however, was not fazed. In fact, his expression turned into a smug smirk, a malicious grin. The madman would laugh, and mock the ruler.
"Hohoho! Oh, please. You're better off surrendering now. But not to worry. Despite how destructive this all is, I have something better plan for you. You all will not perish. Instead, I have something in store for all of you. Royalty or not. As a part of my Eggman Empire, I have constructed a process that will turn you and everyone in this world into my own mechanical minions. Robots. Roboticization."
"Roboticization? What in the name of...what is a Roboticization?" Alicia would ask, confused. Her tone of voice showed her fear and disgust. "What are you saying?!"
"Use your brain, foolish king. Roboticization is when a person who has been turned into a robotic slave. Fully obedient to their master. Me." Dr. Robotnik would explain. "All of your people will be transformed. Your entire kingdom. Your citizens will be converted into my mindless slaves. You will serve me and obey my commands."
"As if I'd let you succeed in such a vile act." The king would speak again, the Emerald still in his hands. He was not going to allow this man, this villain, this tyrant, to get away with his plans. Not without a fight. He was not about to stand by and allow this fiend to take control of their city and the lives of their citizens, to enslave them and use them as his puppets. He was determined to prevent him from achieving his goals. Even at the cost of his life. "I'll crush you before you can get any further than this! It'll all be over for you!"
"Over?" Doctor Eggman chuckled. "Oh, no no no no no. Far from it. It has barely even started." He would snap his fingers. Suddenly, a large robot known as the Egg Juggernaut burst out of the ground, startling everyone else and attempting to grab the King and Queen and their daughter, along with their guards and soldiers. However, they managed to avoid its grasp and dodge the incoming punches, the machine swinging its arms and smashing the floor, trying to capture the King who had the Emerald.
"Get to the safe zone, NOW!" Maximilian would order the guards. "Take the Emerald and hide in the tunnels. Make sure no harm comes to the-"
But his words were cut off as the Juggernaut managed to swiftly strike him, the king gasping in pain. With its massive, blocky fist, the mech would land a punch straight to the kings gut. It was so sudden, that none of the guards or soldiers were able to react. And in the next second, the ruler was sent flying backwards, the impact sending him through a stone wall, the debris from the impact falling on top of him. He was now in a crumpled, bleeding state. His body was battered, and the Chaos Emerald rolled on the floor, in front of him.
"Maximilian!" Alicia screamed, and she ran to her husbands side. The sight of her beloved, lying there in the ruins of his own castle, was too much to bear, the Queen could hardly believe the situation. She was shaking, tears streaming down her face, as she fell to her knees, cradling him in her arms. "Please, please no..." Her voice cracked, the queen was crying. "Hang in there, dear..."
"Father!" Sally yelled. "NOOO!"
But her scream was drowned out by the Juggernaut moving forward, attempting to grab the Chaos Emerald. Alicia looked up, seeing this hunk of metal advance towards the Chaos Emerald, the source of energy that had been powering her kingdom. Without thinking, she leapt to her feet, and in a flash, she grabbed the blue gem, preventing the behemoth from obtaining it.
"Mother! Run, quickly!" Sally would yell, but before her mother could do anything, a claw would reach from the darkness. Grabbing the queens waist, the talon of a badnik would clutch the female tightly, its grip tightening. A Buzz Bomber, in fact, one that had emerged from the shadows. "Let her go, you freak! Don't you hurt her!"
"Oh, I'm afraid I can't do that. This time, I will claim victory. And now, that blue nuisance isn't ehre to save you." Eggman said to her. He was sitting comfortably on the edge of his floating hovercraft. His smug grin on his face, a sadistic glee in his eyes. The doctor watched as his robots and the Shredder would close in, attempting to surround her. The princess was in a state of pure anger, the look on her face, that of complete rage.
"S-Sally...R-Run...!" Alicia screamed while restrained, wanting Sally to flee. But of course, with the Chaos Emerald...
"I can't...I can't leave you and father behind like this! We can't just abandon eachother!" Sally exclaimed.
"Go! Please!" Her mother pleaded for her to do so as tears continued to fall from her eyes.
Sally would close her eyes, not wanting to leave, but knew that the safety of her mother would only be possible if the Emerald were gone, hidden, out of the hands of Eggman, far away. Otherwise, the whole world could become enslaved, and the Kingdom of Acorns could be at risk of becoming a wasteland. So the decision was obvious. Reluctantly, the Princess took a deep breath and ran. She had to take the gem and get it to the special Zone. She needed to run. Fast. Faster. Harder. Faster. To escape and to get the Emerald to safety, to a safer area. She could feel the hot breath of the Badniks and their cold, robotic gazes on her. But despite all the pressure, the weight of the situation, she kept pushing on.
"GET HER!" The Doctor shouted to his minions, ordering them to pursue the young woman. "DON'T LET THAT GIRL ESCAPE! GO GET HER AND THE EMERALD!" The doctor yelled. And the machines obeyed, chasing her.
"Your Highness! Hurry, this way, hurry!" A soldier would shout, the man and some of the other guards urging her to follow, the girl running after the knights, the rest of the soldiers would attempt to fend off the bots and drones and the larger badnik that were pursuing her. "We'll keep these guys occupied, but we have to go to the secret tunnel. Through here. Follow us."
The door would be kicked open and the trio would enter. Now inside the dungeons, they were now on a different route. It was an underground tunnel that was supposed to be a shortcut to the Special Zone. Unfortunately, that was the moment that a squadron of Motohusks, the crab bots, the Motobugs, the insect ones, and a few Egg Pawns, were blocking their path.
"A trap..." One of the guards would mutter, drawing his sword. At that exact same moment, a laser would be shot. Striking him, the man would grunt and stumble, the guard collapsing onto the ground, unconscious. "Ahhh...Guh!" Another would fire a blast, the energy bolts being launched at the other, knocking her back and down. "Ooof!" Sally was left standing, and her jaw would drop, the emerald clutched in her hands.
"U-uuuugh..." The last of the three would groan, having fallen to his knees and coughing. Blood spurted out of his mouth. "Y-Your highness. You need to leave. Save the kingdom. Take the Emerald and run, please. I beg of you, leave before its too late!" The knight pleaded to her, the last thing he would say as the last of the shots were fired. "Ahck!"
"Everyone..." She whispered to herself. Her heart was pounding in her chest, and the air felt heavy and suffocating. Everything seemed so surreal. It had all happened in a matter of minutes. The invasion, the attack, the capture of her family, and now, the execution of the royal guards and her own soldiers, her protectors and her allies, the people that were sworn to her service, and the people that were supposed to defend her, to defend their country, their homes, their families, and now they had perished. They had died defending her and the Kingdom.
But she had to keep going.
Eventually, Sally managed to leave the building, reaching the outside. From this point on would be the rest of the world itself, and that was when she heard a loud noise. More explosions went off inside the castle, and the sound was deafening, and her ears were ringing. The sky had been lit up, the flames burning brightly, the smoke rising up to the clouds above. She was shocked. Horrified. The sight of the carnage was horrible to witness. There were bodies of her soldiers on the ground, scattered around, some still alive, and others already dead. Some had been crushed, others had been mutilated. The destruction, the bloodshed, the violence, it was all too much. But, it was also her duty to protect the Emerald, and that was what she must do. Even at the cost of her own life, even at the cost of everything else, she would fight on, to the end.
Sally managed to flee without being spotted, escaping with the Chaos Emerald in her grasp, the glow of the precious stone lighting up the area. It was a miracle that no one noticed her, considering that the area was full of robots and the Whale Shark, the flagship of Eggman's army was right above, hovering in midair, its massive cannons and guns were pointed downwards, aiming at the castle and the surroundings. The doctor himself was on a smaller hovercraft, watching the destruction. Meanwhile, the rest of his fleet was launching an all-out assault on the city of the Kingdom of Acorn. Its forces were attacking the people, the civilians, and even the castle, which was where the King and Queen and the princess were at the moment.
"No..." Sally would shake her head. She couldn't believe that this was actually happening, that the entire city was in danger. That the entire Kingdom of Acorns was in jeopardy, and the entire city was in chaos. She could hear the cries of the people in the streets, screaming in terror. Their cries of despair and sorrow were terrible, their suffering was immense.
But she couldn't turn back. All Sally had to do was keep running as the Badniks would hunt her down, and try to stop her from reaching her destination, the entrance to the zone, and the secret passage that would lead her to it. And to the Special Stage, a separate dimension of sorts that would ensure that the emerald would be kept in the place that would make it harder for anyone else to get it.
Meanwhile, the madman would have a smirk on his face, chuckling at the sight. It had taken a lot of work and planning to prepare the invasion, the kidnapping, and the assault. But it was well worth it, and the results had exceeded his expectations. The Kingdom was almost destroyed and the city was in shambles, the people were terrified, the soldiers and the royal guards had been defeated and the castle was in ruin. Soon, the entire world would be his to conquer, and the power of the Chaos Emeralds would belong to him.
"Doctor." One of the Buzz Bombers, the flying drones that had been tasked with locating and tracking the location of the Chaos Emerald, was reporting to him, and the mad scientist was grinning, his smile widening as the report was made. "She's heading to the entrance of the Secret Tunnel. The Emerald is still with her."
"Hahahaha!" Eggman chuckled, laughing loudly. He was enjoying every bit of it. His plan had succeeded. His goal was within reach, his objective had been achieved. And he was not letting anything stop him from achieving his ultimate dream, the dream of becoming a ruler. A powerful, invincible emperor who would rule over the whole world and its inhabitants. He was unstoppable. Or so he believed. Afterall, the hedgehog had been gone. "Good! Keep an eye on her and make sure she doesn't get away from us!"
The hunt was on. No matter what, they would do everything they could to find Sally Acorn and retrieve the Chaos Emerald.
"As for you all, I believe the time is ripe. I'm rather excited for this. The Roboticization process can begin! Soon, every last one of you will be mine to command! Oh, what a joyous night this is! It makes me feel less furious about the recent interruptions."
"Ngh!" Queen Alicia struggled and squirmed in the claw of the Buzz Bomber. "You'll never get away with this. We won't give in. No one will. Especially not my daughter. You'll pay dearly." She growled at the dictator, glaring. "We won't let your schemes continue on. Never, you'll see. Once Sally gets that emerald to safety, we will find a way. We will win. We will defeat you and we will free our home. And the world."
"Oh? Is that so?" The villain would chuckle. He would then walk closer to the female. With a firm grip on his wrist controller, he would raise his arm, and press a button. "I don't think so, Your Highness. See, this is how the world really works, and I will show it to you. By the end of tonight, the whole of Mobius shall know the name of Dr. Eggman." He said to the woman. "And soon enough, the Kingdom of Acorns and the planet will be under my control. In fact...I believe you should be the first victim of the newly-made Roboticization."
Alicia was chosen as the first victim as Eggman and his forces would begin leaving the now ruined Acorn Kingdom, taking the citizens captive and bringing them to a base, a factory, a facility. A new factory of his that had just been recently built. It would be the place that would turn them all into slaves. Mindless servants. Obedient and loyal to their leader. His empire would grow stronger by the minute. The Kingdom of Acorns was the beginning. The start of something big, and his plan to dominate the planet would commence, with him reigning supreme. And he had no doubt in his mind that the entire planet would soon be under his rule. As for the Queen herself, she was going to be the very first.
Robotropolis.
Eggman's secret location and an entire city built by him.
It was a dark and cold place, and the sound of machinery and the humming of engines was the only noise that was audible, besides the moans, groans and cries of the helpless captives. They were all in shackles and chains, forced to labor and toil in order to provide energy for the machines, their sweat and tears fueling the infernal devices, and the sounds of the whirring motors and clanging metal was constant.
Alicia was brought to this mega-city's main lab, where the Roboticization chamber was located. The room was full of pipes and cables and tubes, the lights were dim and flickering, and the air was stale.
There was an array of monitors and computer consoles on the walls and on tables, and there were a couple of robotic arms, the same kind of robotic arms that had restrained her in the past, a memory that would not leave her mind anytime soon. There was also a large, transparent tube that would enclose the subject during the roboticization, the person, or animal, being transformed.
"Unhand me!" Alicia bellowed to the Crabmeat that was carrying her, the woman trying her best to struggle, to fight, to resist. However, her efforts were in vain, as the bot had an iron grip on her, the pincers of the machine were holding her in an unbreakable grip. The Queen could barely move her body and limbs, the restraints of the mech's grasp were so strong.
The mechanical claws of the robot would bring her to the chamber, and then toss her inside, the force causing the queen to tumble to the bottom of the capsule, her legs and feet touching the cold, hard glass floor, the chill of the metal sending a jolt of pain through her, the woman yelping and whimpering as a result. Then the doors would shut, trapping her, a hiss of steam coming from the vents of the device. Her fate was sealed, her future was set. There was no turning back. She could only wait and hope for a miracle.
"Don't worry. This won't take long. You won't even notice the transformation. And it'll be over before you know it. It'll be painless." Eggman grinned and laughed as the process began. "Enjoy your stay, dear Alicia. For the rest of eternity, you'll serve me. My perfect and loyal servant. Forever, hahahaha!"
As the words left his mouth, the lights in the chamber would dim, the humming of the machines getting louder and the temperature in the room would increase.
The liquid would flow from the ceiling, slowly descending and covering the Queen, engulfing her completely. She could hear the noises and the creaking of the pipes, and the clanking and the grinding of the gears.
Soon enough, the container was filled to the top, and the substance was thick and viscous, clinging to her skin, and coating her. It was like being submerged in a sea of oil, a gooey and sticky mass of sludge. And her eyes were closed, her head was down, her hair was soaked, her fur was damp, her dress was dripping wet. But it didn't matter, because she couldn't feel a thing, and the sensation was numbing, the warmth and the wetness enveloping her, making her forget about everything."
"G-GAAAAAAAAAAAH! AAAAAAAAAGH!" She screamed at the top of her lungs.
And the next thing the female knew, the liquid was receding, and she was feeling lighter, her body becoming more and more robotic, her skin was hard, metallic and smooth. Her hands and her arms were transforming into metallic appendages, and her fingers were becoming stiff and rigid, her joints were stiff, and her movements were becoming mechanical. The fluid would eventually disappear, leaving her in a puddle of slime and ooze, and the transformation would be complete, and she was a robot, a slave to Eggman.
Her face and her head were the only parts of her that remained unchanged. The rest of her body had changed drastically, and she looked like a cyborg, her torso, chest and midsection were metallic, with wires, tubes and pistons. She still kept her voluptuous and mature frame even with this mechanical change. Alicia was no longer a living, breathing person. Instead, she was an obedient and mindless drone, a puppet, a slave, an object, a tool. A Roboticized Mobian that would be used to help bring about the Eggman Empire.
She kept her original colours, but they had a metallic texture to them, her clothes being a bodysuit of some sort that covered her entire form. The suit itself was a combination of blue and white, the blue part covering her lower half while the white portion of her body covered the top. Her gloves and boots were both red, matching the color of her crown, and her eyes had a reddish tint to them, the same hue that was found on the eyes of the other robots and the drones. They were blank and lifeless, devoid of emotion or thought. She had no will of her own, her consciousness and her sense of self had vanished, and her personality was erased, and her memories were gone.
"Excellent! Just as I envisioned!" Eggman laughed. He walked up to his newest creation and placed his hand on her shoulder, patting her on the back and admiring his work. "Your new purpose, Alicia, is to aid me in capturing and enslaving your daughter. To make sure she and the Emerald are acquired."
"Yes, master. All will be done to perfection."
The rest of the citizens of the kingdom, and the remaining members of the royal family and their knights, the servants and the maids, all the ones that weren't able to flee the attack on the Acorn Kingdom were all captured and transported to Robotropolis, to undergo the same process of roboticization that Alicia was put through.
One by one, they were placed in the capsules, the containers, the chambers, and then submerged in the liquids, and subjected to the changes, and the mutations, and the alterations, and the transformations. The liquid would engulf and swallow their bodies, and their skins and furs were turned into steel, and their minds were stripped, and their thoughts and emotions were stolen. Their free will was lost, and their identities were destroyed, and their individuality was removed.
And in their place, were obedient and subservient drones, automatons and puppets, that would serve the evil genius, and carry out his every command. And obey him, and submit to him, and worship him.
Sally ended up in a vast forest, managing to escape the badniks. But she was tired, her clothes were ruined. Running out of energy, she got on all fours and began to crawl along the ground, the emerald clutched in her gloved hands.
"Tired...Need to find shelter..." Sally was breathing heavily. Her lungs burned from the effort. Sweat poured from her forehead and her fur was matted from her sweat. "Mustn't give up." She continued crawling, her breath becoming shallow and raspy. But she just couldn't. Thus, Sally was about to pass out on the spot, holding the Emerald close to her.
Her eyes would close, her strength failing her as she passed out in this forest. She was now all alone. But as she passed out, the Chaos Emerald would start glowing faintly, a light blue glow emanating from it. Its aura was visible in the darkness. And at that moment, the gem's energy was activating. The Chaos Energy within was awakening and reacting to the unconscious princess's presence and her proximity to the jewel, and the source of the energy that lay dormant inside the gem, and the energy was surround her.
Without Sally even knowing, the Chaos Emerald would mask her presence, hiding her from plain sight for tonight, and it would cloak and protect her. As a side-effect of the chaos powers and its abilities, a small patch of grass around her would begin to glow a bright green.
Soon, Sally was safe, unseen by no one for the night.
Starpath Town.
A small town, located somewhere near Soleanna in the Great Plains, a place that had become known to a few people. A quiet and peaceful area that had become the home to a few individuals.
Living here was Amy, who had finally returned home from Soleanna and from the experience she's recently had. "Hah...What a rush..." She started changing out of her newly-fixed dress, tossing it aside until she was just in her underwear, her breasts and rear were exposed, the voluptuous and sexy curves of her figure were revealed. The hedgehog girl would look in a mirror, and admire herself, a hand reaching up to grab a boob and fondle it.
"I can't believe what I went through. But I'd be lying if I said it wasn't interesting. Especially that Sonic guy. I didn't think there were any other Hedgehogs around. I thought I was just the one, the last of my kind. Maybe even unique. Guess not." Amy was thinking about the encounter and meeting that mysterious, yet handsome, boy.
"Hah..." She would yawn, stretching her arms and ready to call it a night. "Well, tomorrow's a new day. Hopefully, I don't have to worry about something like that again." Little did the pink girl know that the following morning would bring a surprising, yet exciting and eventful adventure to her, one that would change her life, forever.
Morning had arrived and Amy would wake up in the middle of the night, groggily, sleepily, and lazily. Her hair and her quills were messy and tangled, her face and her lips were moist from the saliva that had dried on them, and her pajamas were crumpled and wrinkled, a mess of fabric and cloth.
Amy was laying in the bed, the covers were over her, the sheets were twisted and tangled, the blankets were ruffled, the pillows were disheveled, and her clothes were in a pile on the floor, a pile of garments that had fallen off, a pile of clothes that were stained and dirtied from the events of the previous evening.
She was still wearing her underwear, the only garment she was currently using. Her bra and panties were the only items that remained on her body. The pink hedgehog was still a bit tired, exhausted, drained and worn out from the previous days activities, the actions that took place in the Green Hill Zone and Marble Zone.
However, the time had come for her to get out of the bed and to start her day, the sunlight streaming in through the window, shining brightly in the morning. "Ugh...Already morning? That was quick."
Once she got herself ready for today, smacking on her dress once more and preparing her hammer in case anything else happens, the young lady would go out. Ready to explore and do some shopping in the town, hoping to buy groceries and supplies, or maybe even visit the nearby city of Soleanna again and the surrounding area. It was a beautiful morning. Everything was calm, the sun was shining and the sky was clear, a bright and beautiful blue, the clouds floating above were white and fluffy, the air was fresh, and the grass was lush and green. There was not a cloud in the sky, not a storm brewing on the horizon, not a raindrop falling from the sky. And no signs of trouble, either.
Or at least that's what she initially thought.
Outside, she saw how all her fellow townsfolk were reading the newspaper, horrified by what they were seeing. The news had been brought by a group of Flickies and their chirping was heard from the skies, delivering the news and information. And it seemed the news was devastating, shocking, horrifying and terrifying. And the citizens of Starpath were terrified, the panic was palpable in the atmosphere. What had happened? Why was everyone so afraid, and what was going on?
Amy was confused, wondering why the others were panicking. So, after getting herself ready for her day, and buying the groceries and supplies that she needed to stock her kitchen, the hedgehog would approach an elderly citizen, and inquire him, asking what the commotion was about.
"What is going on here? Everyone looks so shaken. Did something happen?"
"It's terrible! It's awful. Just dreadful." The old man said, a tear rolling down his cheek, the poor man was shaking and shivering in fear and despair. "I can't believe what is happening. How could this happen to our kingdom, to the Kingdom of Acorn?"
"The Kingdom of Acorn? Why what happened?!" Amy questioned, perking up after hearing that.
"The Kingdom...It's been destroyed."
