Ch. LXXII.
Last Time.
Later, Carrot takes Luffy to a pantry, where he places a lot of food into a big backpack. Carrot gushes over the talents of Luffy's crew and tries to ask if she can go on the mission to Whole Cake Island, but Luffy does not hear her as he suddenly realizes that he forgot about Pekoms, who he needs on his journey.
Luffy then asks Carrot to take the backpack to the Thousand Sunny before running out, and Carrot eyes some bananas on the floor.
At the edge of Zou, the Straw Hats and minks begin finishing up Zunisha's treatment, and the minks thank the Straw Hats for all their help, with Sicilian giving an especially over the top presentment of gratitude.
Meanwhile, Carrot goes to the top of the Mokomo Dukedom gates and gazes out at the ocean in awe before giving some bananas to Bariete. Elsewhere, Luffy runs through the forest to look for Pekoms.
"Lion Viper!"
Now.
Zou.
Chopper and the Minks finished tending to Zunisha's wound while Momonosuke tells Kin'emon that he'll stay on Zou to try and communicate with Zunisha again as Duke and Cat Viper agree to split up into four teams. Cat Viper will lead a team and find Marco to see if any of the White Beard Crew will help.
The second group led by Duke will stay on Zou for a while before meeting up with everyone in Wado. The third group will go and get Sanji led by Luffy. And the rest will go to Wado to scout and come up with a plan to take out Kaido and the shogun.
"We're the Ninja-Pirate-Mink-Samurai Alliance!" Kin'emon yelled out after forming the teams, Luffy, Nami, Chopper, Brook, Naruto, and Pedro going to get Sanji while Law and the other Straw Hats will go to Wado while Cat Viper will take Minks with him to get Marco.
And they'll use a Den-Den Mushi to communicate, Franky making one for Zou due to them not having one.
While the others talked, Naruto noticed Nami and Nojiko holding new weapons.
Nami's is a short, orange staff with white striped parallel lines and orange round knob on each side.
Nojiko's was blue and white and he saw she had her revolvers blacked with a tangerine etched on one side of the handle and a pinwheel on the other.
Naruto remembered each navigator asking Usopp to upgrade their staffs after reuniting and Usopp asking Franky to help out.
As Usopp was explaining what they did to each staff, both women squeezed them and had it extend to a very long length.
'Matte, (Wait,) the staffs get bigger when they're squeezed? There's an innuendo there somewhere.' Naruto thought as he saw the weapons shrink as Usopp explained what to do when they had them shrink and extend to various length's as they practice with the staffs. Naruto gained a nosebleed as both girls held their staffs vertically between their chests as they extended several feet.
'I feel like I'm in a world made by a pervert sometimes.'
Later, Naruto said goodbye to his wives, girlfriend, and Kitchi.
"Make sure to protect them OK, boy?"
(Bark!)
Naruto pets him on the head as he went to the others that are going to get Sanji.
The team consists of Pedro, Nami, Chopper, Brook, him and Luffy who had Pekoms on his back stood on the edge where the Sunny was docked. As they others bid them good-bye, Luffy wrapped his arms around his team and jumped back to fall to the Sunny.
They landed on the grassy deck as Luffy quickly got the Sunny off of Zunisha's leg and started sailing. Luffy wonders why everyone else on the ship is not doing their jobs promptly as the other members of the Sanji retrieval team are still recovering from their jump off of Zou. Nami is sick to her stomach and can barely keep them on their intended path.
"We've swerved off course… Port..." Nami said lying on the grass.
"Okay! Leave it to me!"
The others blinked as Carrot jumped out of the bottom door.
She is now wearing a short orange dress with the word "RABBIT" at the front with a single white stripe, a black cap, and loafers. She also has a backpack and a canteen.
The crew then gasp in shock at seeing her, and Carrot excitedly looks out at the vast expanses of the ocean as everyone else wonders why she is here.
"Carrot?!"
"Carrot? Why are you here?"
"I came along with you!" Carrot said cheerfully as her ears twitched. "Garchu!" She yelled before biting everyone on the ear.
And then bit Brook's cheek as she jumped up to him. "Too hard!"
"I'm sorry, but can we go back?" Pedro asked getting Carrot's eyes to water as she jumped on his back.
"Nani? (What?) Don't do that! Wanda will be mad at me!"
"Are you trying to cause trouble to those who saved us, Carrot?"
She fell off Pedro's back and dropped to her knees. "I just wanted to go on an adventure with Luffy and the others even if only once!"
"We can't go back, there's no telling how long we'll get there now, and we'll need to get to Sanji before the wedding," Naruto said, arms crossed.
(CHOMP!)
He then silently screamed as Carrot bit into his ear in thanks.
(Crunch!)
Luffy bit into a carrot that fell out of Carrot's backpack that she brought for lunch having the rabbit mink lunge and bit his chest hard.
"ITAI! (OUCH!)"
"Pat her head Luffy!" Nami said getting Luffy to do that, calming Carrot down.
"OK, I guess you can have that one."
"I'm hungry, somebody make something!"
Nami took a step only for Naruto to stop her. "I'll do it, no one here has money to pay you."
As Naruto was preparing something simple, Brook gave Carrot a tour of the ship before hearing Pedro yelling out as he got the paper from atop the crow's nest.
Tuning the burners off, Naruto ran outside and saw Luffy looking at a picture of his father, Monkey D. Dragon, and Sabo. The article is about the Revolutionary Army's base being found and destroyed by the Blackbeard Pirates.
"But why would Yonko (Emperor) Blackbeard attack the Revolutionary Army?"
"He's getting all the devil fruits he can get his hand on. Burgess tried to get not only the Mera Mera no Mi (Flame-Flame Fruit.) but Luffy's as well. I guess he's trying to bolster his crew." Naruto said walking back into the kitchen.
CRACK!
A storm appeared having Naruto curse before looking back. "Someone man the helm! I'll look after dinner!" He yelled as Nami ran to the steering wheel and navigated through the storm before it calmed down and started snowing.
A Few Days Later.
The sun beats down on the Straw Hats as Luffy, Brook, Pedro, and Chopper fished as when they entered the very hot atmosphere the other day ruined some of their saved food.
"Hot~" Chopper whined having not been this hot since Punk Hazard's lava damaged side. "I'm gonna die..."
"We're like you… We Minks have a low tolerance for heat." Pedro said weakly as well.
"It's really hot. I'm gonna become a mummy..." Brook said hunched over the railing. "A mummy… A mummy! Nami-san, if I become a mummy, it'd be a little bit of a resurrection for me, isn't it?
"I don't care," Nami said as she, Carrot, and Pekoms laid on the deck waiting for the others to catch a fish.
Naruto, shirtless sailed the Sunny as he tried to ignore the heat. Suddenly, Luffy gets a bite on his fishing rod and struggles to bring the very large fish out of the water. He finally manages to pull up the fish, and smiled. "Let's eat!"
"Matte (Wait) Luffy."
As they prepare to cook and eat it, Chopper notes that its color seems strange, and decides to look for information on it in Sanji's locker. Chopper manages to find a book about fish buried by several magazines with women on them and discovers that the fish they caught has extremely poisonous skin that will cause instant death.
He goes outside to tell the team about this, only to find that Luffy has already started eating the skin. Luffy feels fine, and Nami panics at the news, but Chopper tells her that they can still eat the fish if they skin it and prepare it according to Sanji's instructions.
Later, Nami and Carrot cook the fish according to Sanji's instructions, making enough servings for everyone. As they walked back outside, they see that Chopper is in a panic, as Luffy has collapsed and lost most of his functions from the skin poisoning.
"Crying isn't gonna help. Here, you need to keep your strength if you're going to help Luffy." Nami said insisting that Chopper eat.
Chopper reluctantly does so but continues panicking and crying as he does not have the supplies necessary to treat the poisoning. They note that Luffy is still alive despite the fish's skin normally causing instant death, but they still need to get to an island and find herbs immediately.
However, Pekoms warns them that they could not do this right away, as they are currently entering Big Mom's territory. Planning to stop for help at any island they come across, the Sanji Retrieval Team looked up and saw cotton candy snow falling on them.
"I know weather is strange in the Grand Line but this is ridiculous," Naruto said as cotton candy fell on his nose.
He blinked as Nami licked it off, smiled and kissed him quick as Chopper and Carrot ran around catching the candy as well. Their Den Den Mushi suddenly starts ringing, and Pekoms states that it is a signal from the Territorial Sea Slugs warning them that they are definitely in Big Mom's territory.
"Hide!" Pekoms yelled knowing that any ship in the area would be one of Big Mom's or her allies.
Suddenly, the Sanji Retrieval Team is approached by a mysterious ship, and Pekoms states that it is probably a Tarte, one of their scout ships. He has the team hide while he settles matters with the Tarte, but discovers instead that the ship belongs to Germa 66.
The ship is just a large Den Den Mushi with part of a castle on it with masts that have black sails with a white '66' on them.
All but Naruto sees someone who looks like Sanji and called out as such.
"I'm not Sanji!" The man yelled out as they got a good look at him.
He has almost identical facial features to Sanji, including the distinctive curly eyebrows that resemble the numeral 6. However, his hair is green and slicked back into a cowlick, his eyebrows curl in the inverse direction, and he lacks facial hair. He is also more muscular and notably taller.
He's wearing a green raid suit, comprising a shirt bearing the number "66" in gold, and a black hooded cloak bearing a green "4" on the left. He's wearing a striped belt with the Germa 66 symbol as a belt buckle, metal gloves, an orange ascot, sunglasses, and black earphones on the top of his head.
This is Vinsmoke Yonji, also known as "Winch Green", he is the fourth son and youngest child of the Vinsmoke Family. He is a prince of the Germa Kingdom and a commander in its military arm, Germa 66.
He took off his glasses and looked down at them from his spot on the ship. "My name is Yonji!" He introduced himself.
"Not San (Three)-Ji but Yon (Four)-Ji?!" Chopper asked as he stared up at Yonji.
"My relationship with your friend Sanji is a secret of secrets."
"You're his brother!" Naruto yelled up putting on a dark green jacket over a black shirt.
And sweat dropped seeing Yonji act like Sanji whenever seeing a woman as he stared at his wife. 'Doesn't surprise me.'
Yonji prepares to leave, and the team asks him for an antidote to save Luffy, but he coldly refuses. The team tries to get confrontational when suddenly Yonji is kicked off his ship by a woman.
"Stop being so stingy!" She said before jumping to the Sunny.
She is a slim young woman with shoulder-length pink hair, covering her right eye and curling upwards at the tips. She also has blue eyes and light pink lipstick. She also has distinctive curly eyebrows that form a spiral resembling the number "6". However, unlike Sanji and Yonji, her eyebrows appear to swirl symmetrically in opposing directions.
Both of her thighs are tattooed with a number "6". She is wearing a raid suit, comprising a light pink dress with a split in the center going down to her stomach and her navel, and covered by gold target-shaped symbols. She's also wearing dark pink gauntlets, a pair of black headphones with the number "66" on them, and a patterned purple and black cloak shaped like the wings of a moth.
This is Vinsmoke Reiju, also known as "Poison Pink". She is the eldest child and only daughter of the Vinsmoke Family. She is a princess of the Germa Kingdom and a commander in its military arm, Germa 66.
"Hello, I'm sorry. My younger brother is a cold-blooded jackass."
Yonji then jumps out of the water and expresses his annoyance at his sister, Reiju, as he hovers in midair. The team is bewildered by Yonji's ability to float, and wonder if it is a Devil Fruit, but Nami says he would have been incapacitated by the water if that were the case.
Pekoms then reveals that Yonji gained his abilities from science, being a member of the Vinsmoke Family, the leaders of Germa 66 who possess advanced scientific technology. Chopper is awestruck by the ability
Pekoms explains that Big Mom has been looking to get her hands on the technology for a long time. Brook recognizes the Vinsmoke name, recalling that the family used to rule over the entire North Blue. Reiju affirms this, revealing that even though they no longer have any physical territory, they still hold royal status and can attend Levely. Brook becomes infatuated with Reiju and asks to see her panties, but Nami hits him.
Reiju turns her attention to the incapacitated Luffy and notes that he must have eaten the Armored Stonefish from the Hot-Hot Sea, which would normally kill even a giant instantly. However, she calls it her favorite delicacy and presses her lips against Luffy's. She then sucks all of the poison out of his body, transferring it to herself without suffering any negative effects.
The team is shocked to see this, but Reiju assures them that everything is fine since she is the Poison Pink. Luffy then regains consciousness, and Chopper and Carrot tearfully embrace him. He does not remember what happened and asks for more of the Armored Stonefish's skin, and Nami angrily tells him what happened.
Luffy sees Reiju's curly eyebrow and realizes she is Sanji's sister, and Reiju thanks him for taking care of Sanji during his absence from their family. She reveals that their father had been looking for him since he left, and when Sanji first got a bounty two years ago, Judge sent bounty hunters after him.
However, due to the crude drawing on Sanji's wanted poster, the hunters went after Duval instead, and the Straw Hats remember Duval telling them about how he had been targeted based on his resemblance to the drawing of Sanji. When Sanji's bounty was finally updated with a photograph of him, Judge pressed on with the search and had his bounty condition changed to "Only Alive"
Luffy asks where Sanji is, and Reiju states that he is either with Big Mom or their father; they had sailed out to meet him but seemed to have missed him. Reiju looks forward to meeting him later, but Luffy angrily states his intention of rescuing Sanji. As tension builds up, Yonji notices Pekoms and asks him what he is doing with the Straw Hats.
Annoyed, Pekoms states he will keep that to himself, and Reiju jumps from the Sunny and lands next to Yonji on their ship. Reiju and Yonji bid farewell, agreeing to not tell anyone about their meeting in order to ensure that Sanji's wedding happens. The two ships then sail away, and Reiju catches Yonji looking amorously at Nami's wanted poster while Nami chides Brook for expressing his infatuation with Reiju.
Naruto just narrowed his eyes at the retreating ship, missing a merman watching from below.
He is a tall, muscular merman. He has slanted thin eyes, dark hair that is tied in a long ponytail falling on his back in many curves, and a full beard with a goatee in the same color. His long tail is light-brown in the upper part but gets darker near the fins, where spots start to appear, eventually becoming a plain dark color.
He's wearing a long, elaborately designed vest, and he drapes a light-colored captain's coat over his shoulders. He's carrying a trident on his back, held up by a belt which goes diagonally over his left shoulder. He has a tattoo that says "1TC" on his left bicep and the Sun Pirates' tattoo on the left side of his stomach.
He has small wrinkles around his eyes and mouth. A scar on his forehead and his beard is covering all of his chin and extending down to his chest. He has a thick hoop earring in each ear.
This is Aladine, a goats-beard brotula merman. He was the doctor and later the first mate of the Sun Pirates. He is currently the husband of Charlotte Praline, serving as the bond between the Sun Pirates and the Charlotte Family.
He then gave a report on what just happened to Jimbei.
Back on the Sunny, while Chopper checked on Luffy, Pekoms reveals that there are 34 islands surrounding Whole Cake Island, which are all ruled by a minister. These islands compose Big Mom's territory, which is called Totto Land.
Carrot then leaps up to the Crow's Nest, and she and Pedro see a Tarte approaching them. Pekoms has everyone else hide, assuring them he can smooth it out with security. The Sunny and the Tarte later dock on the shore of an island, and Pekoms speaks with several Chess Soldiers, claiming to have hijacked the Sunny from a pirate group and is currently sailing it to give to Big Mom, complete with a sweet treat.
The Sanji Retrieval Team watches from behind the Sunny's masthead, and Carrot tries to go onto the island, but they hold her back until Pekoms finishes arrangements. However, they then realize that Luffy and Chopper are missing, having likely headed onto the island already.
A little while later, Nami and Carrot excitedly wear their new dresses, Nami's being a corset skirt and blouse, making her look like a "pretzel girl".
Carrot is wearing a simple, light-green short-skirt dress decorated with three vertical stripes running down the center and frills at the bottom, neck, and sleeves, and tied up at the front with an orange bow, as well as a pair of orange dress shoes.
Naruto looked to see that Nami beat Brook up for peeking under her skirt.
Pekoms then tells them that it takes a day to get to Whole Cake Island from their current location, so he tells them to get groceries before they depart. Carrot, notes that a large variety of races are gathered on the island, including minks.
Pekoms then explains Big Mom's dream: a utopia where every race can coexist peacefully. He reveals that there are 34 islands surrounding Whole Cake Island ruled by ministers, which are all collectively known as Totto Land. The town they are in is Chocolate Town on Cacao Island, which is ruled by Minister Chocolate and is made entirely out of chocolate.
Carrot asks if the chocolate can be eaten, and Pekoms affirms this but reveals that it is illegal to consume the roofs because they protect residents against the precipitation the island gets. Pekoms tells them to come back quickly and that he will stay on the ship but asks them to bring him back some chocolate
He then looks for Luffy so he can get into his disguise, but Carrot and Nami reveal he has already gone to explore the town, outraging Pekoms. Nami says to not worry, as they should find him easily, and her assertion is affirmed as a person cries out that someone has eaten a cafe.
"Let's get them," Naruto said as they ran to town. Once getting there, they saw a policeman about to arrest Luffy and Chopper for nearly eating one of the chocolate houses.
Pedro prepares to free Luffy and Chopper by force despite Brook's pleas.
"Matte! (Wait!)"
Suddenly, someone comes flying down on a carpet, and the policeman recognizes the person as the proprietor of the cafe.
A woman comes down and up to the policeman.
She is a teenage girl with round, reddish-brown eyes, large breasts, and prominent lips. She is somewhat short, and she has light brown hair styled with pigtails in the back and side-swept bangs in the front.
She's wearing a frilly light-purple top with a pink stripe down the middle and puffy, light-purple pants.
This is Charlotte Pudding, the 35th daughter of the Charlotte Family.
He shows her what happened to her cafe, but she unexpectedly yells at Luffy and Chopper for not eating the entire building. She puts jam, biscuit, and chocolate in their mouths as she confirms the policeman's realization that they are actually dismantlers that she hired.
The policeman warns Luffy and Chopper to put up a notice before they dismantle anything else, and apologizes for the chaos he caused. He then congratulates Pudding on her upcoming marriage, which makes her very happy.
The Sanji Retrieval Team is bewildered by their unexpected savior when suddenly a wolf mink approaches Pedro.
"You're captain Pedro! What are you doing here?"
Pedro shuts his mouth, and leaned to whisper, "I'm here on vacation, don't tell anyone."
"You know people in this town, Pedro?" Nami asked, surprised that Pedro knows people in this town.
"I'll tell you later," Pedro said as they all walked down the road.
Later, the Sanji Retrieval Team eats at another cafe, and Luffy thanks Pudding for bailing them out. Pudding, however, is thankful to him for declaring her cafe to be delicious, revealing that it was made from a recipe she created from scratch.
Brook cries at Pudding's generous nature as Luffy shares his love of chocolate with her before Nami says that they cannot stay long. Pudding understands but asks if they want tea first to wash down the chocolate.
As she makes the tea, Pudding asks them what their names are, and Luffy tells her who he is despite Nami futilely attempting to cover his mouth, which makes her aghast.
Whole Cake Island.
Music played as a tall woman danced with furniture, plants, and trees that have faces on them.
She is a round, obese woman with a chin hidden by her torso. She has an enormous physique, standing just shy of 29 feet tall. She has moderately round, orange eyes, prominent eyelashes, and wears thick purple eye shadow. She has a very wide mouth with full lips sporting red lipstick, large, round teeth, and a long, thick tongue that is sticking out.
She also has long, curly, and wild pink hair that falls halfway down her back, as well as a long beak-like nose, and plump, round cheeks. She also sports a tattoo on her left shoulder and arm, consisting of a large, standard-shaped red heart framed by thin lines curled at their bottom ends, which all top a far smaller heart.
She's wearing a large pink bicorne hat bearing a Jolly Roger on the front. It has two crossed sabers instead of crossbones, possesses small lateral flame patterns, on its top, the hat is edged with a thick yellow streak, it has a strip snap-fastened to it, and beneath it is a light, polka-dotted bandanna fastened around her head.
She also dons a pink dress with red polka dots and white ruffles on its neckline and hemline, with a wide, rippling white cape attached to its back that falls to the ground. The outfit is completed with dark blue high heels, one turquoise pearl wristband on either wrist and golden, jeweled rings on all her fingers.
This is Charlotte Linlin, more widely known as Big Mom. She is the captain of the Big Mom Pirates and the only female member of the Yonko. (Four Emperor's.)

Big Mom sang as two twin women picked up next.
