Chapter XCII.
Last Time.
The Day Before The Raid.
Kin'emon bid farewell to the Crew as he and the samurai left to get ready. As they left, the others made a grave marker for Pedro as Hitetsu found Zoro training and explains that Kitetsu was made by him and that Enma follows the same rule as cursed blades: The Weak cannot wield them. And that Enma and Wado were created by the same sword-smith, Shimotsuki Kozaburo who illegally left 50 years ago.
And that may be the reason Hiyori gave Zoro her father's sword. He finished explaining that Enma isn't a Kokutō (Black Blade) yet.
There are countless smokestacks in this country, and even more unfortunate laborers. Now, silently setting out, are seven Akazaya samurai, one ninja, and one important personage. They step on the dried-up land which crunches like frost in the winter. The sun shines high up in the sky. There are some dark clouds, but the shadow of the nine… Who are in fact not ghosts and who intend to avenge their lord after two decades… Are clearly seen on the ground.
Gather Round! The sky is clear and cherry blossoms flutter in the Flower Capital! The day of the Fire Festival has finally come! Meanwhile, in the shadows, the battle that might sway the fate of the world is about to begin!
Now.
Act Three Start.
Amigasa Village.
Hitetsu gave the Straw Hats some kabuto armor, and Naruto got his armor back from the prison. Luffy, Chopper, and Brook were excited to don it. Zoro declines citing that the armor will slow him down. Nami and Robin discussed with Carrot, Wanda, Shishilian, Concelot, and Giovanni about the full moon that would be present during the final battle, and they hoped that the minks could use Sulong and that Nekomamushi and the Guardians would arrive on time.
Meanwhile, Luffy looked out toward the ocean, noting that Jinbe had not yet arrived despite Big Mom being here. After finding out what had happened with Jinbe, Zoro assured Luffy that the fish-man would come if he was still alive.
Later Tokage Port.
None of the people who promised to arrive at Tokage Port arrive, not even Luffy. The Nine Red Scabbards realize that since they took over Udon, Kaido's forces will be informed of their presence soon. So, they have no choice but to set sail for Onigashima immediately, getting on a small rowboat to traverse the stormy waters.
This marks the third time that their plans have been leaked to Kaido's forces. Kin'emon deduces that there must be a spy among Oden's retainers. Kaido hinted at a spy before but Kin'emon did not believe him until now. Kanjuro stands and makes the revelation that he was the traitor. Being hunted for being a member of the Kurozumi Family his whole life, he decided to infiltrate Oden's retainers, sending confidential information to Orochi.
Back in Zou, he told Jack that Raizo was located there, and he told Orochi about the new rendezvous point given by Yasuie. Orochi sabotaged the mission by bombing all connecting bridges, as well as the Thousand Sunny. Now aware of the Nine Red Scabbards' whereabouts, Kaido's battleships are all lined up, ready to sink their rowboat.
Kin'emon cuts down Kanjuro, only to reveal that it is only a drawing of him. The real Kanjuro is still at the port. He restrains Shinobu with drawn snakes and captures Momonosuke. Since Kanjuro was not on the ship, the Beasts Pirates bombard it with cannonballs.
The Straw Hats finally appear, having managed to repair the Thousand Sunny in time. The Sunny strikes the enemy ships with cannonballs as Law's submarine also appears from underwater, and so does Kid's ship from the opposite side. The three captains prepare to battle against the enemy forces. The Beasts Pirates, still confident in the attack resume firing their cannons as Usopp and Zoro repel the attacks.
Meanwhile, back at Tokage Port, Kanjuro is surprised to see the pirates being present there, having reported to Orochi about the changes in Kin'emon's plan. The three captains jump onto one of the ships as Nojiko fired a lightning bolt at another hitting the side. Naruto jumped on another boat with Olive and Mai before they started to attack the pirates on board.
Soon, Kyoshiro and his family arrive on the ship, supposedly to take down the allied ships. However, he instead decides to slash the Beasts Pirates' ship, cutting it in half and sinking it, and reveals himself to be Denjiro before pledging himself to the Kozuki Family. He then explains that he has been working undercover for Orochi for the last twenty years. He also explains that he freed 1200 prisoners from the Flower Capital, all of whom were willing to join the alliance.
And that Yasuie altered the picture they passed before dying and the new meeting port is now Hato (Warf). Suddenly, more ships started arriving around them. Kin'emon laments his error but joins the alliance, ready to battle.
Kanjuro laments having let the alliance get away but attempts to escape with Momonosuke by drawing a crane. The drawing is surprisingly good, revealing he had only pretended to be a bad artist. Although Kawamatsu swims back to shore to confront him, Kanjuro manages to get away, flying away with Momonosuke. Luffy and Kid sink another enemy ship, but see them flying away.
Kanjuro looks down, only to get hit with a Haki-infused knee from Naruto who was in his gates form. He tried to get his brush, only for Naruto to punch him and throw Momonosuke off towards the Sunny before tackling Kanjuro off the crane and dived into the water. "Have fun in hell asshole!"
Just as they were about to hit the water, Naruto ran along the air as Kanjuro hit the water hard creating a pillar of water. Naruto then dropped onto the deck in a crouch before standing and cracked his neck. "Hopefully that's a start in the right direction."
Boom!
One of the ships explodes revealing an enemy ship that fled returns and attacks the allied fleet with a long-range cannon. Just as they sailed to fight, the ship was destroyed before they got near the smoke. Just then Jinbe makes his appearance from underwater, destroying the ship with Fish-Man Karate.
"Everyone! Please listen! I was born… In the Fish-Man District, the Kingdom of Ryugu, the country in the deep sea… I gave my seniors around the world so much trouble, but now, I am going to exchange a cup of sake with Oyabun (Boss) Straw Hat-san… I am merely a fledgling! People call me… 'First Son of the Sea' Jinbe! Please remember my face, and I request your continued support!"
"Jinbe!"
"Arigato (Thank you) for indulging me!" Jinbe said with a laugh. "Luffy! I came back alive as I promised you! I'm glad I made it in time for the battle!" Jinbe smiled before jumping on board the Sunny. "Everyone! I'm a crewmember of the Sunny from today." He said as the Straw Hats are happy to welcome Jinbe into their crew. "I look forward to traveling with you." He went to the helm and grabbed it as Mai looked at Naruto.
"Guess you're out of a job."
"Meh, only took it because the others can't sail to save their lives."
The allied fleet starts to near Onigashima. Shishillian leads the Minks and Hyogoro leads the samurai. The allies gather in a circle on Law's submarine and Kin'emon discusses the plan. Onigashima is an island surrounded by mountains except for a single passage at the front, which is guarded at a torii gate. The castle, shaped like a skull, has a back entrance that could be entered and is less heavily guarded than the front entrance. The allies would enter the front gate, use the mountain paths to reach the back entrance, and crash Kaido's banquet to assassinate him.
Law proposes a better plan. Luffy and Kid would burst through the front gate as decoys. A second decoy would be sent around the mountain paths to the back entrance. The other allies would sneak in by water with Law's submarine, then be teleported into the island with Law's ability. Kin'emon and Denjiro would each lead a decoy group going around the castle.
The Straw Hats stop by an enemy fortress just in front of Onigashima where its torii gate is located. The Thousand Sunny attaches its anchor to the gate before the Straw Hats set foot onto the island. Naruto dropped down with Nojiko and Olive. Nojiko started spinning her staff as fire came from it and started hitting men.
Thane and Tate ran around slicing men with his scythe/her claws. Mai floated up and slammed down as Olive punched those near her. Naruto opened his gates and dashed around the area knocking people out. On the ships, the allies continue to discuss their plans on getting past the front gate when they notice the Straw Hats are missing. They realize that they have already taken over the torii gate, despite it being heavily armed.
Kaido's.
At Kaido's mansion, the Beasts Pirates throw a raucous banquet in the dining hall. Orochi mingles with the women, Fukurokuju hides in the shadows and Queen eats oshiruko ravenously. Kaido starts to look for his son but instead the Tobiroppo (Flying Six Fellows) arrive.
Outside a person wearing a samurai mask that has long blue hair on it was swinging a mace at a large boulder. The shine of the moon lighting up shackles on their wrists.
Queen then started a concert with Apoo as the Tobiroppo (Flying Six Fellows) walk the halls.
The first is X-Drake who looked around.
The next is is a young, pale-skinned man of shortish stature with purple hair in a sidecut while on the right kept long and swept down, reaching his collarbone. He has sharp and angular, green eyes set under slightly heavy, hairless brow ridges, as well as a pair of small, upward-curving horns on the sides of his head.
A tattoo in block capitals frontally occupies his upper body, in a right-to-left tilt upward: the "P" being on his right biceps, "AGE" across his chest, and "1" on his left deltopectoral groove.
He has on a mask over his lower face up to the nose, split down the middle into a white and black half, as well as a laterally horned bucket hat that like the mask is bicolored: white on the right and green on the left. He's wearing a nearly ankle-length cape held closed by a single yellow cord below its standup collar, colored white on its outside and light-purple on its inside, with a darker-purple hem.
Under said cape, he has a white-colored shirt with long, cuffed sleeves, a point collar, and a gray necktie. His hands are kept in gray, tight-fitting gloves that reach below the elbows, mostly hidden by said sleeves. Above his waistline is a green abdominal wrap, frontally held together by brown, double-crisscrossed lacing.
Below, connected with green suspenders, he is wearing baggy, knee-length, green pants. Tucked into the above is a half-skirt piece colored the same, hanging down over the upper backside of his legs, with a brown belt visible that bears a golden skull buckle. The pants are tucked into high-shafted boots of a similar tone as the pants.
Page One, Bounty: 290,000,000.
The next is is a young woman of middling height, with a light complexion. Her hair reaches near her mid-back and forms rounded locks mainly blue in coloration, but with thin, pink-colored streaks running through, and a single white one over her left eye. Blunt bangs fall on her forehead, split near the left, and an ahoge stands up on her head.
Characteristically, she has horns: a sharp, upward-curving pair emerging from the sides of her head, white in color, that resembles a bull's. her eyes are large, round, fringed by long lashes, and encompass violet irises. Her lower face up to the nose is covered by a pink mask with a scalloped edge, trimmed with a white stripe.
She's wearing a long-sleeved minidress that is white and pleated above the waist, with a blue bow below a point collar. The dress' lower, light-blue, and non-pleated section, with a button placket in the middle, ends in a short skirt part that has a slightly ruffled hem, leaving most of her legs visible. Fastened on her shoulders is a darker-blue cape trimmed with light-blue fur on its edges, which goes near the ground, and her footwear is red high heels.
Ulti, Bounty: 400,000,000.
The next is a very tall man at over 11'0¼" with hair that goes down his back a little past his waist, and a pair of long, upward-curving horns jut out of his head. A chain smoker, Who's-Who is always seen with a cigarette in his mouth. He's wearing a mask over the top half of his head down over his nose, centrally coming to a slightly raised edge and point.
It is red and bears two horns that are connected to the mask's sides by a circular base each and fit over his natural horns. While his lower face remains bare, including his full-lipped mouth and square jaw, his ears are half-covered, with a golden hoop earring still visible on each, and his eyes are obscured by large, yellow, circular coverings that do not seem to obstruct his vision.
For his upper body, he dons a plain, button-cuffed jacket colored the same red as the mask over a black shirt with a double-winged collar, both unbuttoned to show off his chest and abdominals. The former is tattooed with two swirl-ended lines topping a stylized, thick-lashed eye motif, with 'WHO WHO, below all in dark purple.
His lower wear consists of matching red, slim-fit pants held up by a wide, purple belt with a big, round, stud-lined gold buckle, and lastly black dress shoes with single latchets buckled on each side.
Who-Who, Bounty: 546,000,000.
The next is a youthful woman of incredible size by human standards. She is 26'11", slightly larger than Kaido himself. Her long blonde hair is styled like a geisha's, with two swords notably being part of its arrangement. Her eyes are sky blue, and a strand of hair tends to dangle in front of her left eye. She has a pair of long, slightly curved red horns atop her head, wears prominent lipstick, and carries a long smoking pipe.
She's wearing a low-cut, black kimono that leaves her right shoulder exposed and a turquoise obi around her waist, both with blue and yellow floral patterns. Her footwear is two black zōri with red straps and white socks.
Black Maria, Bounty: 480,000,000.
And the last is a very tall man at just shy of 10'5" with a portly build and light skin. He possesses sharp and slanted, blue eyes underlined by notable creases, a mildly hooked nose, and a set of sharp, fanged teeth with two long lower canines, as well as a flat chin. His shaggy hair is colored yellowish-green and reaches down to his middle back, with a golden hoop earring visible on both his ears.
A grayish tattoo is located around his shoulder areas, including the upper arms, chest, and back, with many curved, vane-like shapes bringing on a resemblance to wings. His clothes seem a distinct blend of traditional Japanese and a military/dictator's style of attire. On his head is a military cap with a black, low-set visor and a white crown that is extra-wide, puffy, dented breadthwise with the front raised, and split by a lengthwise seam.
Above the black bottom edge runs a black band lined with a row of gold studs, holding in the front a golden badge depicting a double-cross shape. Set below, front and center is a pair of slender, golden horns that curve upward, lending him together with his fangs a rather demonic look. He has a cloak akin to a seaman's, slung on his shoulders with the sleeves hanging back, that has a folded standup collar bearing on each side a simpler version of the hat's badge.
The coat has a solid-white coloration over its upper half, which ends around the waist level with a downward-facing flame motif, contrasting against the orange-colored rest of the coat. Below, his torso is bare, partly showing off the aforesaid tattoo. For lower wear, he has a hakama-like article resembling the bottom half of a double-breasted trench coat, which is flame-patterned the same as the cloak, closed by eight gray buttons, and held up by a golden, buckled belt.
Finally, he sports a pair of brown gloves and grayish-brown, double-toothed geta sandals.
Sasaki, Bounty: 472,000,000.
Zoom, zoom, zoom, zoom.
Queen started singing as King was walking down the halls as the pirates cheered. Apoo started playing piano as he started rapping. In another room, Ulti slammed the door shut and huffed. "Queen won't shut up-arinsu. Did you hear them say the Tobiroppo is impertinent-arinsu?!"
"Stop ending your sentences like that… Is that your thing now?!" Page One asked sitting down and fixing his hat. "How embarrassing..."
Just as Ulti hugged him from behind. "Come on Pay-Pay, you're so shy-arinsu."
"Don't call me Pay-Pay!"
Who-Who blew a puff of smoke from his seat at that. "If Queen drops dead, who do you think will be the next lead Performer?"
"You think it'll be you don't you?" Maria asked Drake who was lighting a match from a lantern.
"I'm not interested in becoming Lead Performer." He said before the flame died and he tossed the match aside as Kohien walked past the room.
"I'd appreciate it if you dropped out of this competition," Sasaki said looking over from his seat. "Pay-Pay, you can't compete either, right? You'll drop out?"
"You let that fool named Soba Mask get away."
"OI, (Hey,) you! If you mess with my Pay-Pay, I'll kick your ass, Sasaki!" Ulti yelled standing up and having Page One stand to put a hand on her shoulder.
"Oi, (Hey,) stop, Big Sis!"
"Did say 'Stop'?!"
"Don't get mad at me!"
Ulti then started attacking her brother at that. "Did you say, 'Don't get mad'?! You…"
"You're annoying me, you shitty brats" Who-Who sighed as he put his cigarette back in his mouth.
"Hai? (Yeah?) They're kind of cute." Maria smiled as she leaned down over Who-Who. "Ul-chan who snaps at everyone is my favorite."
"No matter how many times I tell her to choose who she snaps at, she doesn't get it." Page One said after Ulti stopped. "She's not cute at all."
"I am cute!"
That got Ulti to continue her attack on her brother as the others stare. "That's enough, now…" Drake walked to an empty seat and sat down before he continued. "Why are we being called in and kept waiting?"
Sasaki smiled at that. "Urgent business came up! When Kaido-san says, 'Something important,' It's always about the same thing…" He trailed off as the others quieted down.
"Is it a family matter again-arinsu?" Ulti asked getting the others to stiffen and stare at her wide-eyed. "Is Kaido stupid?"
"Don't snap at him!" The others yelled at her.
The Straw Hats.
"Oi! (Hey!) Kin'emon! We found the enemies!"
Luffy yelled as he and the others that attacked looked at the bodies around them. The Straw Hats raid the fortress for alcohol and make a toast together for their new helmsman. The Nine Red Scabbards appear, happy that the Straw Hats have broken through the Beasts Pirates' first line of defense. The allied fleet charges into Onigashima, and the Straw Hats put their mugs down, ready to join their allies in the raid.
Later, Kid and Luffy race to Onigashima, with Jinbe controlling the Thousand Sunny. Meanwhile, Raizo briefs the plan. Kid and Luffy would enter through the front gate as decoys while Kin'emon and Denjiro each lead another decoy group through the mountain path. Starting the plan, Kin'emon sets sail while the Heart Pirates go underwater in their submarine.
The allies enter to find Onigashima vibrantly illuminated, with the guards at a banquet and unprepared for enemy attacks. Usopp knocks out the few intoxicated guards on the lookout, allowing the others to safely disembark. However, they destroy their return ships, making it impossible for them to escape if they had to. They split up into their two decoy groups.
Kin'emon uses his technique to create a gate that gives disguises. Kid, Killer and the Straw Hats walk through the gate, disguising them all as Beasts Pirates.
"It seems like… You people sure are some mighty pirates." Kin'emon said walking up to Kid. "You can invade this island as you like, but they are overflowing with talent! Their forces are more than five times larger than ours. So I advise you to take advantage of those disguises!"
"This is good!" Killer said after a chuckle. "We just wanna take down Kaido, we don't have time for any other small fries…"
"Let's go!" Kid ordered and walked towards the entrance.
"If you take them off or damage them in any way you'll revert back to your original kimono," Kin'emon explained to the Straw Hats who were still there. He then turns to address the other fighters. "My fellow warriors! This is Onigashima Kaido's stronghold! Our enemies are way stronger than us! But our spirits are high enough! However, avoid unnecessary battles whenever possible, and try to reach the castle for the final battle! Good luck!"
Kin'emon leads the eastern forces while Denjiro leads the southern forces up the mountain paths. Kid decides to go his own way and barge into the island head-on, and Luffy follows him with Zoro. They enter the party hall and find a raucous party being thrown. Although the Nine Red Scabbards are concerned, Law reassures them that it was part of the plan, as Luffy and Kid were meant to be the first decoys at the front gate.
The raid has kicked off! The Eastern Forces led by Kin'emon. The Southern Forces led by Denjiro. Combined there are more than 5,000 troops. The pirate Law's submarine… Went underwater with the Akazaya samurai on board… Aimed at reaching the castle where Orochi and Kaido are. Their enemies are still unaware of the over 5,000 troops advancing.
With the others, they're looking up at the Sunny as Franky was bringing out the vehicle. Turning to Channel 4, they saw Franky's motorcycle from Fishman Island. He then brought out his tank. "Naruto will drive the tank!" Nami yelled after she volunteered herself, her sister, and Carrot to go with him and Chopper. Naruto sighed as he got in with Chopper standing on his shoulder as Nami, Nojiko, and Carrot squeezed in.
Naruto did his best to ignore Carrot's large breasts pressed to the left side of his head as they squeezed in. Nojiko on the back and Nami to his right. "There's no more room!" He said as Sanji was yelling at him as Carrot squirmed against him.
"It's too hot!"
"Usopp I'll drive it to the spot for you." Naruto deadpanned. "I think Nami just wanted time with me before the fight."
"… Got it." The sniper replied with a wave of his hand.
Naruto drove off as Franky and Brook followed to the other side to combine the two as the others walked. And missed the person with the shackles loo on from behind a rock.
Tobiroppo.
"I'm bored ~!" Ulti yelled before looking at Page One. "Oi, (Hey,) Pay-Pay, tell me some interesting stories-arinsu."
"I don't have any."
"You don't?! All that living and not one interesting story? How… How sad, Pay-Pay! Let me comfort you-rinsu!" She hugged her brother at that and leaned on him, forcing Page One to the floor.
"Stop, you're heavy, Big Sis!"
"'Stop… You're heavy'? Did you say stop?" Ulti then started rubbing his head at that. "Who are you to tell me that?! I'm heavy, terrifying, and a pain in the ass, you say?!"
"I didn't say that!"
"Urusai, (Shut up,) you gaki! (Brat!)" Who-Who spoke from his spot. "Can't you be quiet?!"
Ulti glanced over at that. "'Urusai?' (Shut up?') Did you say 'Urusai?' (Shut up?') What do you mean 'Urusai?!' (Shut up?!') How did Pay-Pay bother you?! Say it!"
"I don't think he's talking about Pay-Pay," Maria spoke with a smile.
"You're messing with my Pay-Pay too much. If you make him cry, are you willing to take responsibility?!" Ulti narrowed her eyes at Black Maria.
"Arigato (Thank you) for waiting."
They turned to see a man inside at the door. "Kaido-sama has called for you!"
"What took you so long, Kaido?" Ulti asked standing up.
"Like I said, don't snap at him!"
Meanwhile, Zoro attempts to blend in with the Beasts Pirates but one of the party-goers mocks the people of Okobore Town who could not afford to drink as lavishly as them. Angry, Zoro force-feeds the person alcohol until he faints. At the party, Luffy also sees Beasts Pirates wastefully dumping oshiruko on the floor. He scowls as he remembers when he fed Tama oshiruko, who accepted it gratefully before glaring at the partygoers.
