Azula sighed contently as she turned over in her sleep, the morning sun shining through the blind mats on the window of the room she was in.

Seconds later a more masculine sounding sigh rose from behind her as an arm draped itself over her and hugged her body to its owner–that being the bare body of Touya. As the sun hit their faces, they groaned as they tried to shield their eyes, but the damage was done and they started waking up.

"Mh… Morning, Azula." Touya groaned. The former princess rolled over and embraced him, laying her head on his chest as their currently naked bodies pressed together under the covers.

"Good morning, lover." She sighed happily in reply. "Last night was very satisfying, just so you know." The girl added.

"Yes it was." The firebending boy sighed as he gave his lover a peck on the lips. "So, what's the plan for today?" He questioned.

She looked like Suki hair wise, but now she was wearing more earth kingdom-like clothing with a veiled amigasa hat to cover her face as well. The veil in particular was Touya's idea, as it was also a way she could avoid being talked to by guys—since girls wearing these veils were usually either in a relationship already, engaged, or even married.

Touya was wearing some simple clothes he had, and made sure to have the badge of his father's police force with him just in case he needed to verify where he was from in some way. After a bit, they arrived at their train station and proceeded to get their tickets to Ba Sing Se.

As they walked along the streets of the city, the former princess sighed happily as she leaned on her man's arm, and guided his free hand to her belly. Touya looked at her in surprise, before he started rubbing her in said area, making her purr in response.

"You know, if you want to try again while we're here… I won't stop you." She told him.

"I'll give it some thought." The boy whispered back in reply. The two kept walking around the bustling city, passing several various kinds of stands, stores and sellers.

However, as they neared the middle ring of the city, Azula's eyes widened when she saw an all too familiar elderly man walking their way in the opposite direction. She quickly pulled Touya aside.

"My uncle is coming this way!" She whispered urgently.

"Wha-What should we do?" Was all the redhead could say.

"Kiss me, quick!" The girl instructed him.

"What? Why?" He questioned.

"People get uncomfortable around public displays of affection. So, just do it already!" She hissed quietly before lifting her veil so they could kiss.

Touya nodded briefly as he pushed her against a nearby store wall and took her into his arms before slamming his lips to hers—Azula grabbing him by the hair and wrapping her left leg around his waist as they deepened the kiss.

As Iroh passed by them, he merely spared them a glance and shook his head before continuing on his way. When he was gone, the couple separated from each other and Azula saw the elderly man walking away.

"Okay, he's gone." She said quietly. Touya panted as he pulled her closer to him.

"That just made me wanna take you up on your offer to try again today." The blue flame boy told her as he felt very tempted to take her here and now, in the city.

"Mmmm, tempting. But that'll have to wait for now, lover. We have a job to do." Azula purred as she grinned in response, pressing a finger to his lips. "But, maybe we can when we find a place to stay." She purred into his ear suggestively.

"Alright, fine. Let's get moving." Touya nodded. The two then continued walking and soon found a hotel called the Green Lily. It looked like it was a fairly simple place, which fit given it was in the middle ring. It was up to three stories tall and had a good number of rooms, judging by the exterior.

"This place looks good." Azula commented.

"Alright then." Touya nodded, though he was looking in a different direction. "Hey… Think you'd be alright with getting us a room? There's a stand I'd like to look at before we go visit your uncle real quick." He told her.

"Sure. If it comes down to it, we'll likely spend the night here." The ex princess nodded. With that, the two went inside and proceeded to rent a room on the top floor. Deciding to have a look at it, they went up and found that it was actually rather homey, even having a balcony overlooking the other buildings.

"Well, it's certainly not my parents home on Ember Island or your house, but it'll do." Azula nodded in slight approval as she took off her veiled hat, sitting on the bed. "Yes, I think this will be the perfect place for us to start trying for an heir." She added with a thoughtful nod.

"Yeah it is, but let's save that for later. I'm gonna have a look at that stand." Touya said. "Feel free to enjoy yourself here if you want." He added before he left for his intended destination.

The fire nation princess sighed wistfully as she laid down on the bed, her hand slowly drifting to her stomach, where just a few days previously, she'd hoped had been with child.

'Well, they do say that three times is usually the charm.' She thought to herself as she continued to think of ways to keep herself occupied.

Touya walked the busy streets of the city as he looked for the stand he saw earlier. The reason he was looking for it specifically was because it sold engagement purses, and he was eager to make his engagement to Azula special.

In Earth Kingdom culture, it was customary for an enterprising bachelor to present the object of his affections with a silk purse known as a Badger Mole purse, which always had a Badger mole on it in various positions and styles.

The purses were usually to be filled with various forms of trinkets and valuables from him and his family or from the girl's family. Be they jewelry, small toys, money or even family heirlooms—the gifts were all meant to be personal. Usually following this old poem: Something firm, something soft, something old, something new, something that shines and something green.

In that order, the items he chose were: A terracotta statue of Azula, a small turtle duck stuffed animal, his mother's engagement hair ring, a new Earth Kingdom and Fire Nation medallion that was just mented, a volcanic diamond from Ember Island in the shape of two entwined dragons, and a jade Badger Mole.

Though, as he looked at the various different styles and colors that the small stand had to offer, he neglected to notice that a person had walked up beside him.

"Ah, so you're looking for an engagement purse for someone special." A kindly and elderly voice said beside the boy.

"Yeah. And I don't know which one to choose." Touya nodded, not facing the person as he continued to agonize over the abundance of choices.

"If you don't mind my saying so, may I make a suggestion?" The person next to him questioned.

"I don't mind. What's your suggestion?" The boy asked, still not looking at the speaker. It was then that the figure picked up a rather plain looking purse which was made of sandstone colored silk, with brown tie strings and had the Earth kingdom symbol on the front with a Badger mole holding it from behind.

"In the best of cases, a simple gesture is the most powerful." The figure said as Touya finally decided to face them. "And it is also true, that even the most expensive of gifts is no replacement for honest affection." He added, holding the purse out to the boy.

"... Yeah. Yeah, you're right." Touya said with a nod as he accepted the purse from the man… Until his eyes widened as he realized just who he was talking to. It was Iroh, he was dressed in his usual tea shop attire and a simple sunhat, which made him hard to recognize at first.

"With this gesture, you will more than likely win your special lady's heart. Take care." The wise man nodded before he took his leave. Touya nearly had a heart attack when he realized who was standing next to him the whole time he was trying to make his choice.

"… Shit." He uttered finally as he paid for the purse and put everything inside it, before he quickly got out of sight and back to the hotel as quickly as his still shocked legs would let him.

(Later)

Back in the hotel, Azula was posing in front of a mirror with a new outfit that she found in the room, when Touya came in rather quickly.

"Azula, I–" The boy began before he noticed the outfit she was wearing. She had a green dress on with golden outlines, a gold sash on her waist, long sleeves and the Earth Kingdom symbol near the legs. It was also somewhat low-cut, and she had a green silk collar on her neck. "... What's up with the new outfit?" He asked after a moment.

"Well, you said the best cover for us would be to act as if we're engaged. So, I just thought I'd try to look the part." The princess said as she turned around, cocking her hip. "Well? What do you think?" She asked as she put on her veiled hat.

"You look great." He nodded. "But that's besides the point right now. I had an encounter with Iroh while I was out." He said, getting a startled look from his lover.

"What?!" She yelped with wide eyes.

"I know, but I wouldn't worry, he doesn't know me so our cover isn't blown." He told her. "Also…" He continued as he pulled out the purse and handed it to her. "This for you, my love." He added. Azula took the purse and opened it, gasping when she saw what was inside.

"T-Touya… Is this…?" She trailed off, voice full of hope as she looked at him.

"Will you marry me, Azula?" Touya confirmed with a smile, causing her to pull him into a tight hug as she smiled in delight.

"Of course! I wouldn't have it any other way." She replied as she put the purse in her dress pocket, and the ring that lay inside on her finger. "There, it's perfect." She smiled, wrapping her arms around Touya's neck. "Now, beloved, shall we see about my old lion turtle of an uncle?" She asked.

"Indeed we shall." The male firebender nodded with a smile as they left for Iroh's tea shop.

(Later)

After a bit of walking through the city, Azula and Touya soon arrived at the Jasmine Dragon, and saw that they arrived just in between the morning and afternoon periods when normal patrons would be enjoying their tea.

The building looked like it was of Chinese design from the outside, and the interior looked like a truly relaxing place with decor that complemented the external appearance and even had a small second story for extra customers. Looking around, they spotted Iroh playing Pai-Sho with another patron.

"Okay, how do you wanna do this?" The redhead whispered to his new fiance.

"We'll go in as patrons for now and look for a good moment to talk to my uncle." Azula whispered back as they sat at a table.

"Sounds good. Let's see what tea is available here." Touya nodded as they looked at the menus, which were apparently already on their table.

As they read what was written on the menus, they noticed that there were teas that were inspired by the four nations: "Harmonic Water Tribe Tea", "Hearty Earth Kingdom Tea", "Passionate Fire Nation Tea", and "Calming Air Nomad Tea."

Additionally, there was a Jasmine Dragon house blend Tea, as well as various teas inspired by people. In particular there was a Kyoshi Warrior fruit Tea and…

Azula had to keep herself from laughing out loud as she read the next option. "... H-Hot Blooded Nephew…?" She read in between fits of holding in her laughter.

Touya had to look, and sure enough, there was indeed a tea truly called "Hot Blooded Nephew." Even a child could tell who that one was inspired by.

"Okay, that's just genius." The redhead snickered.

"We need to order this, just on principle alone." The blue flame user chuckled to herself. Conveniently, a waiter came by at that very moment.

"Greetings. Are you two ready to order?" He asked politely as he got a pen and notepad out.

"Both of us will take the Hot Blooded Nephew, please." Touya replied politely.

"One pot and two glasses of the 2-3 special…" The man noted as he wrote that down. "Anything to eat? Perhaps I can interest you in our Lotus Tial Tea cookies? They're our best seller." He added.

"Those as well. They sound delicious." Touya nodded.

"Very well. They'll be on your table momentarily." The waiter nodded as he wrote down their orders before heading to the kitchen.

As the two waited for their tea and cookies, Touya took Azula's hand and took off her veil so that he could see her face.

"I just want you to know, I'm willing to do anything for you, Azula. I hope you realize that." He told her. "You don't have to struggle alone anymore."

"I know, and I can't begin to express how grateful I am to you for that." The blue flame user replied with a smile that radiated gratitude. "I'm happy that I met you." She added with a blissful sigh.

Touya smiled back as he cupped her cheek and stroked it with his thumb. "Me too." He nodded as he leaned in and kissed her softly. It was then that their tea and cookies arrived, with the liquid being in a black teapot made of cast iron with a matching set of black hobnail iron teacups.

"Thank you." The two told the waiter as he walked away. Taking the pot, Touya poured the two of them their glasses, and they allowed them to cool a bit.

"What are you going to say to your uncle to get the conversation going?" The redhead asked.

"I've had a couple of days to think on that. I think I have a fairly good idea of what I'm going to say to him." The brunette replied, recalling the words she would share with her uncle. She had every intent of mending the bridge with him, and do away with her past altogether.

Meanwhile at the other side of the Tea shop, Iroh looked from his game of Pai-Sho at the couple as they enjoyed the tea and cookies served to them, recognizing the boy from the square–but didn't recognize the girl.

'Hm. How intriguing, seeing him here. I suppose that the girl with him is the one he was trying to woo.' The old man thought to himself as he looked at the couple.

Back with Azula and Touya, they were finishing the last of their orders as the hours passed, then they placed some money on the table before getting up to leave.

"Come on, beloved, let's go to bed." Azula purred as she pulled his arm into her chest, noticing that it was evening.

"Of course, dear." Touya nodded with a smirk as they left, both discreetly glancing at Iroh. The princess would talk to him one of these days.

(Later)

Once the couple arrived at their hotel room, Azula grabbed Touya and kissed him deeply as they approached their bed, stripping their clothes as they went. It didn't take long until they were naked and making out heavily as they got aroused again.

"Mmmmmm! Oh! Come on, Touya, let's try for a baby again." Azula hummed before groaning as the redhead shoved his hand up her cunt.

But now she has a fiance who has filled that void and the mental and emotional development needed to learn from her and Ozai's mistakes–makes all the sense in the world for her to try and have a baby to try and give them the life she never got.

ThermalsniperN7: True. This should be considered an outcome of Ozai's piss-poor parenting skills (if they can even be called that). Also, sorry if you guys expected Azula to talk to Iroh in this chapter only for that to not happen.
