Chapter 35: The Final Recruitment
The following day, Lene finally wakes up and was visited by both Sean and Seed as well as Cara.
"Hey, your highness... The king has been waiting for you."
"Geddoe had told me something about the other True Rune bearer and she says that she is the wielder of the True Water Rune." Sean said pointing out on Chris' appearance.
"A feisty princess needs to get ready and prepared. Not like how Jillia would wait for her hubby to come back home." Seed teased Lene to get ready causing her to get up.
At the throne room of the Palace, Lars, Tougou, Rena, Sigurd, Clemont, General Melvin, Renzo and Daniel are here to see Drogo, Servine, Geddoe, Sasarai and Chris as Lene arrives to see her father.
"Lene, all five of them are the bearers of the True Elemental Runes and this woman with them is the bearer of the True Water Rune."
"Sorry for pretending myself, I would expect this battle will be very dangerous. My name is Chris Lightfellow and I will help you finish the whole war."
"Your majesty, I also brought my Harmonian troops to assist your army. It will be a good enough to beat the soldiers." Sasarai said nicely as Drogo reveals to both of them.
"My men from the Karaya clan would gladly to help you as well. It's for my ancestors' sake to help those in need." Drogo said nicely and Servine looked to see Sasarai getting prepared.
"My ancestor really got his own sleeve. Seems like we're gonna teaming up to help them."
"You can still have some time to get ready, Lene. You can tell me if you were ready to take the mission to cleanse Muse City." Lars said telling his daughter which she decided to think about it until Kharam's captain arrives shortly to see him.
"I brought the rest of our Dragon Knights to serve you, your majesty and your daughter is here as well." The man said and finally introduced himself. "I'm Kharam's Captain, Silfer and I'm glad to meet you, your highness."
After the discussion, she saw other Dragon Knights and one of them is a female who happens to be Silfer's daughter, Almyra who is talking to Kharam.
"Your highness, so you saw our Captain?"
"Yes... I told my father that I need some time to think. This battle would be catastrophic if we move." Lene said telling him and Almyra finally introduced herself to her.
"My father did the same way as you, your highness. I'm Almyra and I'm the daughter of the Regional Captain of Dragon Knights, Silfer. It's a pleasure to meet you."
"Welcome to the palace, my dear."
"She will be in good hands, your highness."
They revisited Greenhill City to see a guitarist is hiding over his fans and Sean had noticed his presence.
"It reminds me as how I was chased with women."
"Oh my... you must be the leader of the secret mercenary group from the New Leaf Academy. I'm Yoda, I'm the popular guitarist of the band. I came here looking for Elisa. And my bassist Koran is trying to look for her."
"If you see Elisa, She's with Lene... and we recruit her to join the army."
"Whoa... that's great news. I decided to join since Elisa was here. Please find bassist Koran at Two River City."
With that Yoda joins Lene's group and decided to visit the Higheast Palace and Sean shrugs over his presence. At Two River City, Sly meets fellow lycanthrope named Ned and seeing the princess' presence.
"Well now... it's time for me to aid Sly into your group."
Lene finally recruits Ned and Sean sees Koran who is annoyed after failing to find Elisa during their separation.
"You must be the inspector of Dunan. Would you know where Elisa is? It's getting nowhere to find her."
"Well you see..." Sean soon explains to her that Elisa is already sided with Lene into joining to her cause which makes her excited to see them.
"Oh wow... so that's it. Yoda and Elisa are already there. Fine, I'll join with you..."
Koran decided to join Lene's group after learning that Yoda and Elisa are present.
At Rockaxe, two aristocrats... Bono and Fakir are cornered by thugs, leading Lene to beat them immediately. Both of them thanked Lene for saving them and they decided to join. With the help of the Blinking Mirror, they eventually returned to the Higheast Castle. They later travelled back to Kyaro and Asher sees a flying squirrel named Hige who recognized him for his inventions decided to stick up with him and decided to find the other four squirrels which is Tsume, Toboe, Kuro and Chikoe who lives in the forests in outside cities.
At Radat, Sean meets a rival detective similar to Richmond named Gren Kross who tosses coin between head and tails and tries to find the imposter version of him who happens to be the man named Ezra. Sean also noticed his weapon was improvised to resemble a tokkosho causing him to show how he wields. With this, Ezra ends up in a beating by townsfolk and leave.
"How did they knew that I was an imposter? Dang..."
"Your weapon is not a double-ended sword like mine. Yours are definitely improvised made up of light materials." Sean said pointing out on Ezra's weapon and convincing him to join in his cause. "Why don't you join with us, you can have a new weapon like mine if you like to impersonate me and my style."
They later meets a wanderer named Granger and to see Lene's tonfas which was on a stronger level. At the Higheast City, Cara informs Sean about the group clan similar to Clive's and they were confronted by seven of them.
"Well oh well... Inspector Sean Rockwell is in the house. I'm Jordine and this is my crew and we are a group of who wielded firearms."
"With that behavior of yours, it reminds me is what red head was acting this way, a temperamental rabid dog." Sean commented horribly and to Seed's annoyance.
"Stop comparing me to that blondie guy, mockingbird!"
"Hmph... you were right, I was really a hot-head if you're gonna mess with me." Jordine smirks as he pulls off his rifle. "With my weapon Torch, it's gonna fry you into dust."
Just as he was about to shoot his rifle, Asher arrives and disarms him by shooting with his improvised shotgun that contains with lightning elements.
"Awww... that old prick!"
"You're no better than the time-displacement man, I don't know what business you came here for and if you came here to aid the princess then it's fine." Asher said while wielding his shotgun and to Seed's happiness.
"That piques my interest, old man. You shoot the guy with electrical sparkles."
"Are you okay, Jordine?" A woman said to tend him as she faces them and apologize. "Please forgive him, he likes to fight fire with fire with his rifle. My name is Jeala and I'm his second in-command to his group."
"Okay I admit it... I heard about the blood war going on in Silveria and it was awfully in ruins. I never thought the Silverians are ended up here in the Higheast." Jordine said and Seed berates him.
"You maybe a tough shooter, but you were standing at Lene who is the feisty princess."
The group were shocked to see Lene's presence and one of them responded.
"Jordine, that girl is the Princess of Jenova..."
"Please, excuse my behavior, your highness. I like to join up with my crew. I like to set a blaze with those knuckle heads for what happened in Jenova." Jordine offers Lene to join with her which she accepts.
"Sure... of course..."
"My crew, you'd better introduce yourselves in front of the princess. I recognized Inspector Rockwell for his detective cases and now he was battling those knuckle heads in a all out blood war." Jordine said as five of them introduced themselves.
"I'm Toru, who specializes weapons enhancement."
"I'm Kenta, I'm specializing the use of shotgun."
"I'm Goro, who specializes any forms of heavy cannons."
"I'm Borya, a sniper that specializes in sniper rifles."
"And I'm Koichiro, an alchemist who crafted powerful bullets which was used the power of the elemental Runes."
"Here, your highness... these group are able to enhance your double-sided tonfas and can give you a more powerful bullets using the power of the elemental Runes. As an inventor like myself I always tried making my own bullets using the Lightning Rune." Asher said pointing on Jordine and his group and Lene nods in agreement.
As they return to the palace, Cara sees Sean is talking to someone and it was a bo staff wielder and alongside was his sister who dual wields daggers and was accompanied by Lene.
"I never seen a princess who can fight, Sean. It's like in old times in how the two of us fought with your double-ended sword and a bo staff."
"Listen, Percy... Lene needs a lot of people to aid her battles against her own uncle. And that's why people in Jenova had decided to move here in Higheast City and its palace to reform the Highland Army in order to battle them." Sean said explaining to Percy and Penny tells him.
"Brother... we should help the princess. It's not a good idea if we let their kingdom to fall."
"Hmmm... if Sean was saying was true then I will join him in his fight." Percy said and he bows to Lene. "Your highness, me and my little sister Penny will gladly to join you. I don't like if my old friend gets weary over the endless fights."
As both Percy and Penny decided to join at Lene's side, they were watched by Seed, Sasarai and Asher and knowing the final two allies will be gathered.
"This is where the 108 Stars of Destiny to be gathered if someone with the True Runes are able to break the seal of its powerful spell."
"Hmmm... Lord Jowy just broke a seal from his Black Sword Rune when he became the King of Highland back then. Culgan and I were unaware of this situation and at the same time, he's trying to keep the Beast Rune at bay and why he was weakened afterwards." Seed said remembering about he and Culgan's declaration in the Dunan Unification War where Jowy made a body double for Jillia as a sacrifice to the Beast Rune.
"Since this is an incarnation Divine Dagger Rune. I think 108 Stars of Destiny is truly required in order to get Lene's most powerful spell. For strong elemental Runes, they are capable of casting elemental Rune combination spells." Asher said noticing the final spells of the elemental Runes are useful to combine. "In the time-displacement man's case, my ancestor is able to make a Rune Combination with him that involves on weaponry to make a powerful elemental strike on his enemies. That's why he is capable to do this ability especially to counter someone's usage with elemental Rune and Scroll spells in order to put them back into their place."
"Wow... I haven't seen him doing it with Culgan. If I known they can do that and maybe he can counter with the spells of my True Earth Rune." Sasarai said in excitement.
Now that all of the people have join in Lene's group, this commences the war on Muse with Lars, Tougou, Rena, Daniel, General Melvin, Renzo, Clemont, Ruric, and Sigurd to commence the war battle.
"Everyone we must reclaimed Muse City at the hands of Doug and his Silverian Army. Our armies are now became a reformed Highland Army, not just the former royal kingdom, but in the real city state. This is our chance to take them down. My daughter Lene will lead this battle to end this blood war."
"We're rooting all the way, your Grace. I'm sure my fellow Vikings are going to help you take these soldiers down with a pack of ice." Ruric said supporting Lars
"I'm gonna show how dangerous to use my powerful chainsaw... it's going to be more graphic." Franks smirked and Jessica tells him.
"I really love to get some bonus points to disperse them, Frank."
"Alongside with us, is the descendants who now bears the True Elemental Runes including three of its original wielders. They're going to aid us as well. Now it was a united with all places in the Dunan Republic, Harmonia and Queendom of Falena. I must reclaim my throne back from Doug in Jenova." Lars said as he convinces Lene. "My daughter... would you do the honors."
"Everyone! Give me the strength to end this bloodshed of this blood war!"
Suddenly, Leknaat appears to see them and Sasarai recognizes her presence.
"It's you..."
"Princess of Jenova... the time has come for the incarnation of the Divine Dagger Rune to break the seal of its powers as all of the 108 Stars of Destiny have all been gathered." Leknaat uses her power to break the seal the powers of her incarnation and all of the bearers of the True Elemental Runes are glowing to share their power and it succeeds. "The power of your incarnation Rune is finally broken the seal and you can now use its most powerful final spell. Use it..."
Leknaat disappears after breaking the seal and Seed sees how she appears to see them as he thought.
Now I finally understand... Lord Jowy's Black Sword Rune had its seal broken because he always used it to battle the powers of the Beast Rune. But here, it's just like Lord Riou who had someone to broke the seal of his Bright Shield Rune by gathering more allies on his side to be united. But now I became one of the 108 Stars of Destiny just like Lucia did. I must protect Lene and all of my friends that I've met here because that's what a time traveler like myself do.
