Chapter Summary: Kara finally addresses the reporters who has been trying to get a hold of her for two months, William Dey makes an appearance as a new reporter at CatCo, and Oliver takes the kids shopping for Halloween costumes.
The next day Kara stood in the bathroom getting dressed, the door cracked open slightly, she could see Astra sleeping in the middle of the bed as Oliver held her close.
Kara sighed exiting the bathroom walking over to shoe rack and grabbed a pair of her brown boots sitting down on the edge of the bed to slip them on her bump getting in the way slightly. Her head lifted up at her sound of her husband's phone ringing.
"Oliver," Kara shook her husband's legs, he let out a sleepy groan. Kara sighed rolling her eyes, "Oliver, your phones ringing," Kara shook her husband's legs again careful not to wake their daughter.
"Let it ring," Oliver groaned out. The ringing finally stopped and Kara sighed standing up walking over to her husband and kissing him on the cheek.
The feeling of his wife's lips on his cheeks woke him up fully, his arm going around her waist and pulling her closer careful not to harm the baby or wake Astra.
He placed his lips on Kara's, that kiss didn't last long at Oliver's phone ringing again and Kara stood up with an annoyed expression grabbing it rolling her eyes at the name.
"Look it's the assistant who wants you to bend her over your desk," she joked rolling her eyes.
Helena Carter, was a young pretty woman who was Oliver's assistant at Queen Enterprise, she was flirty and was very subtle but Kara saw through the young woman's act and put her in her place the first time she met the young woman.
"Now you know the only woman I want to bend over is you," Oliver sat up fully, he removed his arm from under Astra as Kara answered Oliver's phone.
"Hi Helena," Kara answered.
"Oliv — Mrs. Queen?" Helena quickly corrected herself.
"Yes?"
"Is uh...is Mr. Queen there?"
"He is," Kara answered looking at her husband.
"Right...may I speak with him?"
"You may," Kara handed Oliver the phone.
"Hello?" Oliver said into the phone.
"Mr. Queen, I was calling to let you know you have two early meetings today."
Kara kissed Oliver's cheek again, she walked over to the other side of the bed pressing a kiss to Astra's head.
"Right uhm," Oliver waved at Kara who waved back before leaving the room. His eyes drifted to his daughter. "Cancel them both."
"Cancel? Is there a reason?"
"Yes and that reason is none of your concern," Oliver answered.
"Right, I'll cancel both meetings."

Kara entered the living room where William sat watching TV while eating a bowl of cereal. "You're up early," she smiled at him.
"Yeah," William nodded, "I wanted to catch you before you left."
"For what?" Kara grabbed her purse and keys.
"It was a school assignment assigned to us to do over fall break, I had to follow someone around for the entirety of fall break...and I want to follow you around."
Kara's heart warmed at that. "Awe buddy that'll be amazing," she told him "But you go back to school next week, will you have everything you need?"
"Yeah, I'll make sure I do," William nodded.
"Ok uhm well, today's gonna be my first day back and I have the press conference...you can start today if you'd like."
William nodded excitedly, "Alright go get dressed and I'll be in the car." Kara told the boy.
Andrea stood in front of CatCo on a podium, reporters from CatCo and other companies standing in front of her taking cameras and holding their microphones and recorders at her talking all of one other, Kara stood off to the side waiting to be announced while William stood beside her.
"Ladies and gentlemen, please, settle down," Andrea spoke and the reporters went quiet. "Thank you," she smiled at the people "Now I don't want to waste any more of your time so here is Kara Danvers."
Andrea stepped down and Kara stepped up while the reporters and the few citizens clapped. "Thank you," Kara smiled gracefully. "Now two months ago there was a video...a very disturbing video and an uncomfortable thing to watch and go through," she started a frown now on her face. "And doing that video it was revealed who was Supergirl, and I am here to confirm that I am Supergirl."
As Kara finished the reporters started talking over each other asking questions. "Ms. Danvers!"
"Yes? You." Kara pointed towards the young reporter.
"Why keep this secret so long?"
"Well I have a family to protect and didn't want any of my enemies to come after my family."
"But what about your husband's enemies?" Another reporter called out.
"It's true my husband as a long list of enemies and all are dangerous but my husband and I can protect our kids from anything or anyone who is a threat."
"Have you've been Supergirl this entire time?"
"Yes."
"You've been pregnant twice before and now a third time, are those pregnancies why you stopped being Supergirl for months?"
"Yes it is."
"Who was that man in the video holding you captive?"
"That was..." Kara swallowed. "He was my ex-boyfriend and the biological father to my daughter who was obsessed with wanting his old life back."
"Are you telling us that Oliver Queen isn't your daughter's father?"
"No he is my daughter's father, he has been there for a support before she was even born, he's raised her as his own and she is his own," Kara stated.
"And is your youngest son Oliver Queens?"
"Of course." Kara was becoming irritated, she rubbed her belly. "This press conference isn't about my family it's about be being Supergirl, now if you don't have any questions about Supergirl and Supergirl only then this press conference is over."
The reporters had gone silent and Kara stepped down.
Meanwhile with Oliver, Astra, Mia, Evelyn, and Tommy, Oliver has taken the kids shopping for costumes, Evelyn was watching the press conference on her phone.
"Of course." Kara's voice played on the small screen. "This press conference isn't about my family it's about be being Supergirl, now if you don't have any questions about Supergirl and Supergirl only then this press conference is over."
Oliver smirked as he listened to his wife on Evelyn's screen. He pushed around the cart that had Tommy buckled down in the front and Astra sitting in the back the older girls walking in front of the cart.
"Alright you two go look for your own costumes, I'll take these two to look for theirs."
Evelyn and Mia nodded and walked off while Oliver turned towards the kids isle. "Alright Tommy who do you want to be?"
"Flash!" The toddler shouted excitedly.
"You sure you wanna be Flash? That have and Superman," Oliver held up the toddler version and size of the Superman costumes
"No! Flash! I wanna be Flash!" Tommy exclaimed.
"Daddy look they have White Canary!" Astra beamed pointing towards the rack that held the White Canary costume.
"Oh Barry and Sara would love this?" Oliver rolled his eyes playfully and defeated. He picked up the Flash and White Canary costume, "These might be a bit big maybe we'd ask Uncle Winn or Cisco to make you both a costume," he said.
Evelyn and Mia came back holding two Halloween costumes each. "Don't you only need one costume for Halloween?"
Oliver raised an eyebrow.
"Yeah, but we got two for the Halloween party that Lois and Clark are having, plus we couldn't choose and neither of us was help to each other," Evelyn told him, "So we wanted your opinion.
Oliver nodded gesturing for them to show him the costumes. Mia held up her options first. One was supposed to be like a sexy killer clown costume and the other was a Harlequin costume.
"Neither," Oliver said simply not wanting his young daughter wearing anything too revealing.
"What? Dad —"
"Go pick something else to wear," Oliver told her. Mia groaned "Then you're not gonna like Evelyn's," she told him before walking away.
Oliver turned towards his older daughter, gesturing for her to show him her options. Evelyn held up a Poison Ivy costume then a sexy cop uniform.
"Absolutely not."
"Green," Tommy smiled at his favorite color
"Oliver —"
"Go find another one."
Evelyn groaned walking off
"Those were pretty," Astra looked up at her dad. "Why couldn't they wear them?"
"Those were pretty costumes but they'rem for older girls."
"Like momma?"
"Right like momma," Oliver nodded. "But I don't think even momma would wear those." Oliver now smirked at the image of a pregnant Kara wearing a sexy Halloween costume quickly shaking the image out of his head.
"Can we two costumes as well?" Astra asked puppy dog eyes now looking at Oliver.
"Sure princess," Oliver smiled knowing he couldn't say no his daughter when she gave him that look. "What do you wanna wear now?"
Astra took a moment humming as she thought about it she looked around the isle spotting one, she climbed out of the cart only able to get one leg over.
"Let me help you," Oliver chuckled walking over to the back of cart helping his daughter out, she ran to the costume.
Astra picked out a Green Arrow costume.
"Huh..." Oliver was shocked by this.
"Vibe-y!" Tommy's voice made Oliver turn his head towards his son reaching for the Vibe costume.
Back at CatCo, William and Kara sat in Kara's office. "So you just sit here until you're assigned something?" William asked.
"No," Kara chuckled.
"Then what does the editor-in-chief do?"
"I chose what gets published and I watch over the editing process in do so, people here will email me their drafts and I'll tell them to make a few corrections if needed."
William wrote all of that down. "Imagine the pressure now since Supergirl is judging their work."
"I'm not judging anything,"
Kara chuckled. She looked down at her phone which buzzed, Oliver's name popped and she looked at the text.
Oliver: Saw the press conference. You did good.
Kara: Thank you :)
Kara: How's costume shopping?
Oliver: Having no trouble with the young ones.
Kara: Haha. And the older ones?
Oliver: They wanna wear too revealing clothing.
Kara let out a chuckle. "Is that dad?" William asked
"Yeah," Kara nodded. "He's having trouble with Evelyn and Mia and them picking out costumes."
William chuckled and nodded understanding the situation.
Oliver: Did you know they made Green Arrow costumes?
Kara: No I did not.
Kara: You're finally part of the Hero's who has costumes.
Oliver: They don't have meetings do they?
Kara: Hahahah. No.
Oliver: Good. Because I already have too many meetings.
Kara was about to respond when someone knocked on her office door. "Come in," she put her phone away.
Both her and William watched as Andrea walked in with a tall slightly tan man behind her. "Kara this is William Dey, he's a new reporter."
"Ms. Danvers, it's a pleasure to meet you," William smiled at Kara his eyes following her as she walked over.
"Nice to meet you as well William," Kara nodded with a smile.
"Is this your assistant?" William looked down at the young man who sat on Kara's couch.
Both laughed. "No," Kara shook her head. "This is my step-son, William Clayton-Queen."
"Ah," Dey nodded turning his attention back to Kara. "Kara, William would like to do an article on you and becoming Supergirl," Andrea spoke.
"An article?" William asked watching from the couch.
"Just like her life story," Dey started. "We know Superman's story but pretty sure the world would like to know more than they already do."
"Right," Kara nodded. "I'll be happy to do so," she agreed. "Just give me a place and time."
"Place can be here at CatCo in your office, and I'll let you know on time since I'd like to settle in first."
"Okay," Kara nodded returning to her desk the feeling of Dey's gaze following her made her a bit uncomfortable. "Is that all?"
"Yes," Andrea nodded. "Come on William let me show you do your desk."
The two left. "He likes you," William made a comment.
"What?" Kara chuckled at her stepsons comment.
"That William Dey dude, likes you," he repeated. "His eyes followed your every movement kind of how dads eyes does when he's being protective."
"Yeah," Kara hummed. Oliver's gaze was the gaze she never felt uncomfortable under but if it was a guy she had just met like William Dey, it made her feel uncomfortable and weird.
