Chapter 2: Worst case of Seperation

From the last chapter Moxxie and Chaz were trying there best to not be seen, luckily Nana was fast asleep in front of the TV though Chaz was still nervous as he held the food looking frightened as he stood near a cookbook as Moxie looked around the spice rack "Saffron, saffron now where is it?" He said as he digs through the wooden shelf "Umm Mox I am not sure this is okay? What if she wakes up and sees up?" Chaz said nervous "Hah! I have been down here a lot of times whenever the cooking channel is on she is out like a rock" said Moxxie brushing off the concern which surprised Chaz "Wait hold on you have been down here?! A lot of times?!" He asked shocked "Saffron is what we need, Chef Assago said so himself" said Moxxie

"Whos Chef Assago?" Asked Chaz confused as Moxxie chuckled as he climbed down to a certain book "Who is Chef Assago? Why he is the greatest chef that's who!" The imp then closed the book showing a picture of a certain Mexican on front holding cooking utensil "He is so amazing he wrote this book" said Moxxie as Chaz was puzzled as Moxxie climbed back up to get back to what he was doing as the loan shark was confused "Wait you read Mox?" He asked "well…not excessively" said Moxxie with a shrug "Does dad know?" Asked Chaz as Moxxie scoffed "You could fill a book…lots of books with things Dad dosent know and may have, that is why I read…and why this must be our secret!" He said as Chaz got nervous as Moxxie returned to find the Saffron "Ooooh I dont know if I could like secrets, all the cookings and reading and TV watching, while reading and cooking, its like you dragged me in a crime and I let you do crime…why are you letting me?" Asked Chaz worried "Who knows and who cares" said Moxxie "oooo Dad is going to care when he finds out" said Chaz nervous.

Meanwhile back in the hide out in the attic everyone is dropping off the last of the garbage as Crimson looks at the garbage and looks around puzzled as he couldn't find Moxxie or Chaz "Has anyone seen Moxxie and Chaz?" He asked concerned on where his sons are as its almost dinner time.

Downstairs Moxxie grins as he finds what he is looking for a bottle of Saffron "Ah le quill saffron, Italian baby, man Assago is excellent, good thing naan is a real food consoler" he said but he was interrupted when he sees an image on TV Assago is on it as he said "Food will always come to those who love cooking children" he said as Moxxie smiled "hay Assago is on!" He said eagerly as he listened as he and Chaz watched as Assago continued "Cooking is in the creative heart, you got to be imaginative, strong of heart as well as try things that may not work, do not let those who are cruel defy your limits just because of where you come from, your only limit is your soul" he said as Moxxie smiled as he got closer to the TV as Assago continued "What I said is true anyone can cook, but only the fearless can be great" he said as Moxxie sighed smiling "Pure poetry" he said

However another voice on the TV spoke up alarming the imp "Unfortunately it was not to last" that confused Moxxie as a image of the restraunt appears on the TV as it lost a star as the Announcer continued "One day Assagos restraunt loses one of its 5 stars that Assago worked hard to get due to a harsh review from Paris top Food critic Sera" as it shows the female as she frowned and pushed her plate forward in disgust as Moxxie got closer in shock and disbelief as the announcer continues sadly as a crying Assago was on his desk. "Atlas this blow had heart Assago to the point of no return as he died of a broken heart after wards" it then shows his grave "Of course such a death was a big blow that his restraunt lost another star"

"I cant believe it, Assago is dead" said Moxxie as he was his idol and now he finds out that he is dead? The lost of the greatest cook ever hurts Moxxie as well. However in his distraction the TV was turned off as Nanna yawned meaning she had just woken up as suddenly her eyes widened seeing Moxxie "What the?" She yelled alarmed as Moxxie yelped but it just sounded like a noise squeak to Nanna as he runs off as she saw Chaz as well as she screamed again as Chaz panicked as he hurried to hide behind the cans as the old women tries to get her gun but she tripped on the floor as Moxxie jumped and got to his adopted brother just as Nanna recovered and fired at them only to see it was just a umbrella as she growled and tossed it away as she grabs for her shot gun and fired "Run!" Yelled Moxxie "AHH she's got a gun! Crazy old women with a gun!" He yelled dropping the food and fleeing as Nanna fired at the loan shark chibi as Moxxie yelped seeing Chaz climbing up near leading him to the colony "Dont do that Chaz you'll lead her to the colony!" Yelled Moxxie and horror as Nanna kept firing and missing the loan shark as he kept staying out of the way as he made it to the chandelier but Nana got him in her sight as Moxxie gasped as the old women was prepared to fire…but a clicking noise was heard "Oh thank Satan" said Moxxie sighing meaning the gun was out of bullets as Nana got frustrated as she went to get more bullets to reload the gun as Chaz climbed up the chandelier.

"Help! I need help!" Yelled Chaz freakking out "Swing the light Chaz hurry!" Yelled Moxxie as Nanna heard noises of squeaking as Nanna founded a box of bullets as she opens it but to her annoyance it was empty as she hurried to look for more as Moxxie got up to the support beams as she was looking "Chaz! Hang on dont let go!" Yelled Moxxie "Swing to me hurry!" He yelled as Chaz gulps and tries to do so as he swung to get closer to the imp but kept missing each time as Nanna finally founded the bullets and load up her shot gun. Meanwhile Moxxie managed to grab Chazs hands "Gotcha *was pulled* woah!" He yelled as he was swung onto the chandelier, but dispite this the two tried to make there way up to the attic hole just as Nanna finished reloading and fired and opened fired on the two chibis several times as the ceiling by then got a lot of holes in it just as Moxxie and Chaz got through to the top.

However at that she hears a cracking noise as she noticed a crack forming a round circle around the ceiling around each other as she realized what she had done and braced herself as the ceiling fell down destroying the chandler as the old women saw a shocking sight…all of Moxxie clan as they all looked at her. Her reaction? She screamed and dropped her gun and ran off!

That was the signal to move before she comes back "Everyone to the boats! Ecvacuate now!" Yelled Crimson in horror as everyone screamed that they been discovered as the clan makes an exit out of the house as there leader instruction "Hurry to the boats!" Yelled Crimson as they ran for the door to exit before Nana came back with something worst as Moxxie was about to leave but remembered something "Crumbs the book! The book!" He yelled as he pushed and shoved through the escaping crowd as they ran outside as Moxxie got to the top shelf to the cook book and carries the cookbook out as he looks up and screams seeing Nanna back with a gas mask and holding a poison gas gun! "Crumbs!" He yelled as he made a mad dash to the window breaking it as he jumps through holding the cookbook as he freaks out as the scene freezes.

Moxxies voice: yeah this is when you all came in, know what is going on now? All caught up? Good now lets move on

The scene unfroze as Moxxie finished his jumping out as Nana looks through the window angrily as Moxxie made a dash for it as it rained, there was no way in heck she is letting a borrower get away with her cookbook. Back with the others they quickly ran to the river where the boats are waiting for them "Move it! Everyone quickly Quickly!" Said the ganster like imp as the clan got into handmade boats that were hiding in the grass and pushing them into the water as they got into the boats as they took off as those that didnt managed to got in quickly as Moxxie was running as fast as he can to catch up "Wait! Stop! Dont leave without me! Screamed Moxxie as the rain poured harder as Crimson who was in the last boat gave out instructions "Get a paddle everyone and… *gots a horrified look on his face* Moxxie? Where's moxxie!?" He yelled concern "Wait! I'm coming!" Yelled Moxxie running to the water as he puts the book in it and begins to use it as a boat as he rowed with his arms "I'm Coming!" He yelled as he paddles as fast as he can to get closer to the boat his dad was on "Crap! Hang on everyone! Alfondso get me something for Moxxie to grab hurry!" He yelled as a loan shark got a spatula to him as he and a greed Sucubus held it out to reach out to Moxxie as the imp was about to grab it, but suddenly a gun shot fired out nowhere as he looked up and screamed seeing Nana on a bridge nearby with her shotgun about to open fire but only got the bridge archway. "MOXXIE!" Yelled Crimson worried "Dad! Dad!" Yelled Moxxie as he used the broken spatula to row catch up as Nana tried again but Moxxie got into the tunnel along with the others as she growled missing her chance but at least they were gone.

Inside the tunnel Moxxie still on the book hurried to get to his dad and the clan "Hang on! Low down!" He yelled "Were right here!" Yelled Crimson but it was just his voice as the clan is up ahead by now "Wait for me!" Yelled Moxxie but it was too late as the clan was to far away but soon he heard screams as Moxxie gasped "Dad? Chaz?" He yelled as he slowed down looking around, he lost track of his clan as water poured on him as he got wet "Dad" he yelled as he saw two pipe paths but he dosent know where his clan is as he flew down the left path in hopes to find them, but it proved to be a mistake as there was a big gap ahead as he yelped as he tried to paddle back but it failed as the current was to strong as he screamed holding onto the book screaming like mad down the waterfall as he went through rapids and fast water as he was dunked underwater but he swam fast and got onto the book as he rode on it and held on.

Soon the water calmed down as he sighed as he looked around…as he knows he was seperated from his clan…he is hungry and now…he has no home to return to.

A bad day that started good but got worst…

Authors note: well that was terrible first Assago passed away and now Moxxie is seperated from his family. Well even if things get bad, all one can do is keep going up.

Next chapter with encouragement from a phantom Assago, Moxxie climbs up and out of the sewers and finds himself in Paris in front of a familiar restraunt
