Ch16: Seek and Destroy
Starscream, along with Skywarp and Thundercracker flew out of the Nemesis into the sky in their jet forms. They flew in formation at top speed towards the two flagships. Starscream was in the lead. He and the rest of his seekers were discussing the plan to take out the intruders.
"Alright, both ships obviously have weapons, so we definitely need to target their weapon systems first." Instructed Thundercracker.
"Do NOT tell me what to do, Thundercracker!" Starscream angrily replied. "I am the leader of this mission, not you!"
"Uh, guys?" Skywarp interrupted. "I think the ship's weapons aren't the only things we need to worry about."
As they get closer to the ships, the Seekers soon saw dozens of starfighters flying out of both war ships from the sides and bottoms and straight towards the three decepticons.
"Decepticons, proceed to the warships! Target those annoying weapons systems!" Commanded Starscream.
"Way ahead of you, Starscream! I'm itching to blast something all day!" Said Skywarp.
The Air Commander let out a cackle.
"Vermin! Tremble before the might of Starscream!" Shouted the red jet.
Starscream flew towards the black warship while Skywarp and Thundercracker, each taking out some fighters along the way.
"Uh, Starscream? Don't you think it's wiser if we take out each ship with all three of us?" Questioned Thundercracker.
"No! I will deal with this ship alone! You two handle the other!" Snapped Starscream.
Starscream proceeded to take out the large turbo laser turrets that were desperately firing at him. He then proceeded to take out the smaller turrets scattered around the vessel. But at the same time, many starfighters were chasing him and firing at him. The Air Commander was groaning in annoying at the constant harassment.
"Damn these pests! I can't take out these guns with those insects shooting at me!" Said Starscream.
Just then, the fighters behind Starscream were shot down. The Decepticon assumed to believe it was his lackeysSkywarp and Thundercracker, but when he transformed to his robot form and turned around to order them to return to attacking the other ship, he was met with Dirge and Thrust!
"Dirge!? Thrust?! What are you Coneheads doing here?!" Asked Starscream angrily.
"Megatron sent us to make sure this mission doesn't go south." Said Thrust.
"Yeah. He isn't taking any chances." Confirmed Dirge.
Starscream growled in frustration.
"Fine! Just keep these vermin off me while I destroy the weapon systems of their warship!" Shouted Starscream.
The coneheads flew off without saying a word and Starscream transformed back into fighter mode to destroy the warship's weapons. The coneheads meanwhile worked tirelessly to keep the enemy off of the Air Commander's back.
Soon, the remaining weapons were at the top of the ship and Starscream transformed into his robot mode and landed on the vessel. He first blasted to mortars, then the repeating turrets, and finally the large energy cannons. Starscream smirked at his victory. But soon a single enemy fighter flew towards him intent on blasting him to pieces. But the decepticon had a trick up his sleeve. He pulled out his Null Ray and fired at the starfighter. The small vessel short circuited and began falling from the sky, and crashed onto the warship. Starscream smirked in delight and cackled manically.
"These insects are no match for the mighty Starscream!" Laughed.
In the warship's bridge. Alarms were blaring and the crew were scrambling to get the situation under control. General Koban had a furious look on his face.
"So they are giant robots that disguise themselves as ships and other vehicles." Koban thought. "But that won't stop me from getting what I want!"
"General! The hostiles took out our weapons systems!" Shouted a panicked crew member at the controls.
"Do we still have fighters?" Said the General.
"Yes, but-" answered the crew member.
"Then tell them to keep the enemy distracted while we launch our ground forces to the surface." Ordered Koban. "We can still achieve our victory if we take out their leader!"
"Sir yes sir!" Replied the crew.
Meanwhile, Skywarp and Thundercracker were engaging Nefarious's ship. They too were having trouble destroying the ships weapons with Nefarious's starfighters on their tails.
"Split up, Skywarp!" Shouted Thundercracker. "I'll take care of the ship's guns! You distract the fighters!"
"Sure, why not?" Skyward said.
The two seekers took off in different directions. Skywarp drew many fighters away from Thundercracker as the latter began blasting away the guns on the purple warship. The ship's cannons and rapid fire turrets all trained on the blue seeker but the latter was able to evade the shots and decimated many of them.
Meanwhile, Skywarp took out as many fighters as he can but he soon found himself chased by a dozen starfighters. Panicking, the seeker tried to shake them off but a dozen more fighters suddenly appeared in front of him and were coming in fast! Thundercracker saw what was happening and spoke to Skywarp on his com.
"TELEPORT, YOU IDIOT! TELEPORT!!!" Yelled Thundercracker.
Skywarp did as told and teleport behind the fighters in front of him, causing his pursuers to all crash into each other!
"Whohoo! Eat that, bugs!" Shouted an excited Skywarp.
"Yeah, yeah, it was fun. Now get your ass over here and help me take care of the rest of the ship's weapons on top of the ship!" Said an irritated Thundercracker.
Both Thundercracker and Skywarp flew to the top of the ship and transformed into their robot forms to take out the remaining guns on the ships. It wasn't long before the last of the laser cannons were obliterated by the two Seekers.
"Hell yeah!!! That's what you get when you screw with the fly boys!" Cheered Skywarp.
Meanwhile in Nefarious's command bridge, the mechanical leader himself was in total utter shock from what had just happened as alarms blared in the ship.
"Robots that transform into vehicles?" Thought Nefarious. "Now I've seen everything."
"Dr Nefarious! Are weapons are offline! What do we do!" Asked a robot at the controls.
"Sir, I think it may be wise to leave this planet before we're blown to scrap metal." Suggested Lawerence.
Dr Nefarious gave a scowl and clenched his fists.
"No! If we still got starfighters, have them distract those hostiles while you all send our ground forces to their crashed ship!" Commanded Nefarious. "If we destroy their leader, victory will be mine!"
"Understood, sir." Said everyone at the bridge.
Dozens of large dropships began flying out of the hanger and decent to the surface. The Decepticon Seekers saw this and prepared to destroy them.
"Those fools are about to lay siege on the Nemesis? Not on my watch!" Said Starscream as he readied his weapons.
Just then, all Seekers received a transmission from their headquarters.
"Seekers, stand down and return to base." Said Soundwave on the other side. "Megatron and the rest of us will eliminated the descending intruders."
Everyone complied and began to fly back to the Nemesis. But Starscream was enraged that he couldn't finish annihilating the warships.
"Damn it! I had everything under control and was about to annihilate these insects!" Thought Starscream. "I'm just gonna destroy these dropships to save us the trouble."
Starscream transformed and took out his Null Ray and aimed it at one of the dropships and fired! The dropship short circuited and crashed into another dropship causing them both to crash down to the surface and explode! The Seeker was suddenly bumped into by Thundercracker.
"Starscream!? What the hell are you doing!?" Demanded Thundercracker.
"Nothing will keep me from my glory!" Shouted Starscream.
"Megatron specifically ordered us to disengage and return to base!" Said Thundercracker. "So unless you want your ass to be scrap metal, obey your orders."
Starscream was enraged that a decepticon lower than him was telling him what to do, but Thundercracker had a point. So he continued his journey back.
Soon the dropships landed onto the surface several miles from the Nemesis. The large doors opened and hundreds of foot soldiers came out along with large tanks, gaint metallic spider like war machines, vehicles with missile launchers or rail guns, ect. The decepticon troops drove towards the enemy and stopped a couple of miles from the marching intruders, then they transformed and readied their weapons. Among them were the Constructicons and Combaticons.
The Intruders stopped and a large armored tank moved up and its hatch opened to reveal General Koban. Dr Nefarious flew to the front lines as well. General Koban took out a microphone and began to speak.
"Attention, hostiles. We have brought our entire armies to lay siege on your ship. You have no chance against our might." Announced the scarred ape.
"The ape's right, if you don't bring forth your leader right now, we'll ANNIHILATE YOU ALL WITHOUT MERCY!!!" Dr Nefarious shouted.
The Decepticons are not fazed by this threat.
"Ha those little idiot don't know just how powerful we are. Once they come in range, reduce them all to dust!" Ordered the Combaticon leader, Onslaught.
"No, Onslaught! If they want to challenge me? Let them!" Said Megatron who walked past his warriors and faced the combined armies of Koban and Nefarious.
"You dare challenge ME!? You dare threaten Megatron!? Then I will personally show you NO mercy." Megatron yelled as he clenched his fists and his red eyes briefly flashed purple.
"NONE OF YOU WILL LEAVE ALIVE!!!" yelled Megatron as he alone charged into battle against the armies.
The Seekers have really done a number on the flagships.
But now the fights is taken to the planet's surface. And the mighty Megatron himself has chosen to face down both armies by himself!
