A/N It seems it's necessary for me to remind some people of things I've stated several times over the course of this story both in other author's notes and in the story itself.
Xander only remembers some spells and has the knowledge of how the artifacts under his protection work. Bear in mind he is a newby to Magic and has had only about five weeks to begin learning things that took Dr. Strange centuries to learn. What he remembers gives him a head start but Dr. Strange was a sorcerer in training for seven years before being granted the title of sorcerer. During which time he fought and won a battle against death, which effectively slowed his aging to the point where he can live for centuries without aging. (Does Xander have this ability? It could be argued he 'fought' death to revive Buffy. We'll see.) Also bear in mind he became so powerful because he's fought battles in other dimensions where time flows much differently allowing him to master spells and Magic that takes a long time to learn.
Xander's nowhere near there at this point and won't be for, well, a long time. Please let me tell my story the way I want to and stop leaving me nasty guest reviews demanding I have Xander use the spells you want to see. He hasn't had the time, in universe, to learn them yet.
Also, please remember I'm using the comics wiki, not the cinamatic wiki as reference and there is a difference in the list of spells and abilities between the two.
So, sorry you won't be seeing the Crimson Bands of Cyttorak or astral projection or time hopping anytime soon.
The Eye of Agamotto in both the comics and the movies can do many things, but for the purposes of this story I've limited what it can do to avoid being OP. Over time Xander will gain more uses with it, as well as learn more spells.
Not saying it won't happen, just not yet. 😉
So, please be polite in your comments.

Sphygmus, that is a truly scary thought you had. 😳

Despite wanting to get drunk, Joyce didn't actually get drunk. She did, however decide that between the revelations regarding Ted, Magic, superpowers and Buffy's death, she was entitled to one glass of wine before going to bed, praying she didn't have any nightmares about Buffy dying.
When she woke up the next morning it was with a renewed determination to help, however she could, all of the kids, but most especially the one she loved and the one she was so very grateful to, Buffy and Xander.
It being Saturday that meant Xander was at home, Ms. Calendar's Saturday catch up classes over with as all three of them were now caught up, so Joyce's first task was to find out where Xander lived so she could thank him for saving Buffy's life. Starting with fresh made brownies.
"Buffy, you said yesterday that Xander had been emancipated, do you know where he's living?"
"You know, I don't think he's said. But Cordelia probably knows, she's given him a ride a few times. Her house number should be in the class directory." Buffy answered, eyeing her mother. "Did you sleep okay last night, Mom? I know what we talked about is...intense. Really intense." Buffy smiled wanly.
"Yes, it was and believe me, we'll be talking some more. I just need a little time to deal with, well, all of it." Joyce checked her brownies. "But for now, let's just not talk about it."
"Okay, I'm going to go to Willow's, if that's okay."
"Sure, just be home for supper." Joyce wasn't sure if the class directory was in a kitchen drawer or if she'd tossed it into a cabinet at work, so she went looking for it. Once she found it she called Cordelia's house and once passed the housekeeper, got Cordelia.
"He lives a couple miles outside Sunnydale, Mrs. Summers." Cordelia told her. "Take the north road out of town and turn right at the first dirt road you see. Don't be upset by what you see, it's actually a protective illusion. Just knock on the front door."
"Thank you, Cordelia, I appreciate it."
"Not a problem, see you later."
Joyce was glad Cordelia had warned her because the sight of the broken down, abandoned looking house scared Joyce and her first thought would have been, 'is this really better than his parents home?' Whatever Xander's reasons for getting emancipated were, they'd have to be really bad for this place to be any improvement. She parked in front and cautiously approached the front door and knocked, a moment later and it was opened by Xander.
"Mrs. Summers," he grinned. "Cordelia warned me you were looking for me." He gestured an invitation to enter and she stepped passed him into...a mansion. She stared, awestruck at gleaming wood and gorgeous windows and decor.
"How?" She gasped.
"It's the Sanctum Sanctorum," he answered. "it's tied to my costume from Halloween, the Magic made it real and tied me to it. I'm its Guardian now."
"This is why you're emancipated?"
"I'm emancipated because my parents are drunks and I'm better off without them." He answered in an emotionless voice. "Being tied to the Sanctum just made it possible for me to escape them, while simultaneously giving me a purpose in life. One I intend to live up to."
