Chapter 1
In an unknown location within time and space.
A large, dark blue, monstrous and muscular figure was watching over a portal. Within the portal showed a world filled with life.
The monster was none other than Absalom. Former leader of the Nephilim. The Avatar of Chaos. Source of Corruption
"It appears that this realm is filled with humans as well." Absalom said with clear anger and venom in his voice.
His brothers and sisters, the Nephilem, traveled to and destroyed many worlds in their quest to claim a realm for their own. Upon reaching Eden, the realm he deemed as the perfect place for his people, he met resistance. Now, resistance was nothing new to him. After all, even during the very beginning of the Nephilem crusade, he and the rest of his firstborn brethren knew that many would stand against them. Not to mention the fact that his race was strong and thrived in combat. If anything, it was second nature. Eden, however, was a bit different. Within the resistance held 4 of his brethren. Four of which who would become known as the 4 Horseman. The 4 grew weary of the Nephilem rampage. across creation and feared that it would destroy the balance. For Absalom, it was nothing short of betrayal: an enemy that hit deeper and hurt worse than any blade.
All because Eden was for humanity to inherit. A race that he deemed as weak and undeserving of such a paradise. A fact that would make Absalom hate the race of man ever afterwards.
Even though he hated the 4 Riders for the role they played in the annihilation of the Nephilem, he still felt satisfaction when the youngest of his people, the Rider of the Red Horse, War, laid waste to the human race on Earth. A form of poetic vengeance.
While he was enraged when finding out that humans still thrived, that anger soon turned to glee, He would personally take pleasure and satisfaction in destroying this new world of humanity.
"For my brethren who were slain for humanity's sake. it shall perish!" he declared.
Before he could move forward with his plan, a red portal suddenly appears behind of the monster, halting him from his destination and immediately destroying his mood. Immediately turning around, he saw what was the source of the disturbance.
A woman then appeared out of the portal. She had the outward appearance of a young woman with a tall, slender body. She had long, free-flowing cloud-white hair that floated unnaturally behind her head. Her amber eyes both had a small line going horizontally across their pupils. Looking at her, Absalom could sense that this female was of divine nature.
"Do not intervene." the woman said with authority. "The realm is under my charge. Mankind's judgment is for me to decide."
"And who may you be?" Absalom asked mockingly.
"The Sustainer of Heavenly Principles" the woman answered.
Heavenly. That was something that the Avatar of Chaos did not take kindly to. It reminded him of the forces of Heaven and the battle for Eden. The Hell Guard fought alongside the 4 Horseman in destroying his brothers and sisters. The word "Principles" reminded him of Charred Council. A force that was established by the Creator to enforce the balance. A force that deemed that the Nephilem did not deserve Eden and had to be destroyed. In other words, authority as well as sanctimony. Heaven, as well as the Charred Council, would know his wrath eventually.
"I sense that she is of the divine. Could this woman be associated with Heaven by any chance?" Absalom briefly thought to himself.
That would be something he would think over later. First, he would dispose of this so called "Sustainer of the Heavenly Principles."
"Hmph. If you are an avatar of these Heavenly Principles, then it my duty as the champion of Corruption to destroy you." Absalom said before summoning his battle axe, Absolution.
With an emotionless expression on her face, the woman responded by summoning dark red cubes with full intent on destroying the monstrosity before her.
Both beings stared at each for a brief moment, not moving an each. A standoff.
With a great roar, Absalom decided to break the silence and charge at the godlike being like a rampaging beast.
A great battle then took place. A battle of light and shadow. Absolute Authority vs Absolute Chaos.
