Kind of a special day. Enjoy!
Rex vs. Birthday Party
"What do you want to do for your birthday Rex?" Noah asked.
"Ugh, another year older… where does the time go?" Rex sighed from his bed.
"You sound like an old man." Noah scoffed. "You're just turning 20."
"And I still can't drink!" Rex complained.
"Yeah, so Doctor Holiday can throw you another party…" Noah began."
"No, I have a great idea!" Rex sat up from his bed.
"Uh oh, I have a bad feeling about this."
"No, shut up. It's a great idea. Tell the gang that I want to have my birthday here." Rex pulled out a flier.
Noah took it from his hand. "Funlandtopia? That's for little kids."
"I'm about to leave my teens and I've never been here." Rex said wistfully.
"That's what you said about the amusement park." Noah sighed.
"And wasn't that fun?" Rex grinned.
"I guess it depends on what your definition of fun is." Noah mumbled. As he looked at the flier, he had a bad feeling.

"Um, a little help?" Rex's voice came from the jungle gym tube located in the air.
"Rex, I can't believe you climbed in there. It's for kids!" Circe hissed at him.
"I don't know him." Noah said as he face-palmed.
"Someone's gotta go in there and pull him out." Claire looked at Noah.
"What? Why me?" Noah asked incredulously. "Why can't Federico do it?"
"Lo siento, sorry." Federico apologized. "Coach said I have to be super careful before the big game. I'm not allowed to do anything dangerous."
"Yeah, Noah." Annie agreed. "You wouldn't Federico to lose his chance to play in the leagues?"
"Uh guys, hello? I'm still stuck. Help?" Rex's voice came again from the tube.
"Hey mister, we want to play." Several little kids stood around the jungle gym.
"Just a second kid." Walter told the boy. "We'll get him out in a sec." He turned to the little group. "All right, how're we getting this numb nut out, Tuck?"
"I guess I can crawl in there." Tuck scratched his head.
"How about you go behind and pull and I can go to the other end and push?" Cricket suggested.
Tuck crawled in after Rex. "Oh, wait…" He said suddenly.
"What?" Circe asked.
"Um… I see the problem." Tuck said.
"You mean his butt?" Walter joked.
"Hey!" Rex exclaimed with indignation.
"The tube is too small. I'm going to get stuck too." Tuck backed out.
"How about the other end?" Federico suggested.
"Wait. Let me see." They watched as Cricket went to the other opening. No go." Cricket said. "I can sort of make it but I don't think Rex could make it all the way."
"Then how did Rex get in there?" Walter asked.
They shrugged.
"It's getting hot in here." Rex complained.
"We want to play now! What's taking so long? I'm telling my mom!" The crowd of kids started getting larger.
"Yeah, yeah hold your horses. We're trying to figure this out." Walter told them.
"Maybe we can use butter?" Annie asked.
"Where are we going to get that much butter?" Claire wondered.
"We're more like likely to find pizza grease than butter." Noah said jokingly.
"Oh, I'll go ask." Annie said brightly as she headed to the cafeteria.
"No, I was just…" Noah started to stop her but Walter put a hand on his shoulder.
"Let her go. It might be out best bet." He said.
"Hey, what's going on out there?" Rex called.
"Don't worry about it." Circe told him.
"Even if we get the grease how do we… um get it to him?" Noah asked apprehensively.
"Hi, guys. Sorry we're late. Caesar was trying to finish a project. Where's Rex?" Beverly and Caesar walked up to the group.
They pointed to the jungle gym.
"What? I don't see him." Beverly said confused.
"Is mijo stuck in there?" Caesar groaned immediately understanding.
"He is? Why would he…" Beverly began before stopping. "Never mind. This is Rex we're talking about."
"What are you guys doing? I can't feel my arms anymore." Rex's voice came from the tube.
"He should just make a build." Caesar said.
"No, then he would break it and ruin it for everyone." Claire said.
"Plus we'll have to pay for damages." Noah pointed out.
"Hey mister, can you get him out? We want to play." A kid tugged on Caesar's vest.
Caesar walked up the few stairs and stared into the tube for a second.
"I tried to pull him out, but it gets too narrow to crawl in." Tuck told him.
"I don't need to go in." Caesar said. He pulled out a rod from one of his vest pockets, pressed the bottom of the rod, and a glowing web shot out from the other side.
"Ahhhh!" Rex yelped from inside.
Caesar stood up, placing one leg on the platform and with the other one against the side of the opening of the tube, he began pulling.
Caesar pulled and there was like a sound of a cork being pulled from a bottle. Caesar gave a hard yank and with a popping sound Rex came flying out bouncing down the stairs.
"Yay!" The kids crawled over Rex to get to the jungle gym.
Rex got up and brushed himself off. "Thanks, but do you have to goose me to get me out?" He pointed at the webbing that was stuck to his backside.
"I got it! I got some old frying oil." Annie came rushing up gripping both handles of a large pot.
"Hey Annie, it's ok. We got Rex out." Noah told her.
"Huh?" Annie was so flustered to see Rex that she tripped, and the contents of the pot came flying out. Everyone scattered but the grease hit Rex full in the face.
"Ugh, what is this?" Rex tried to shake the goop off but lost his footing, slipped and fell on his back.
"Um, happy birthday?" Annie said sheepishly.
"Thanks." Rex muttered from the ground.
