Battle of Fairy Tail: Naruto vs Mirajane
"Wait! Mira is fighting Naruto!? But why?" Lucy, who was filled in about the situation wondered and was worried.
"I'm wondering that myself. I did not think Naruto would know about Laxus' plans, nor did I think Mira was involved." Levy was confused and placed her left index finger on her chin.
"I think I can explain." Laxus' Thought Projection returned. "Mira's part of my team now." Laxus saw the rage in everyone's faces. Erza even Re-Quipped to her Heart Kreuz armour and pointed her sword at him.
"You're a liar! Mira would never join you!" Lucy pointed at him. "She's the kindest person I've ever met, and she wouldn't harm a fly!"
"I guess you never heard about the fact that she used to be an S-Class Wizard here and known as the 'She-Devil' back in the day." Laxus retorted. This made Lucy recall being told by Mira herself that used to be true, and Lucy even confirmed it with others, with Erza admitting that she and Mira were rivals at one point.
"Despite that. One thing Lucy is right about is that Mira would never join you willingly." Erza defended her former rival and continued to glare at Laxus.
"Oh, she was willing, but you'll have to beat me if you want answers. But since that fool Gray took away all the stakes, I'm going with Plan B. The Thunder Palace." When Laxus revealed that name, Makarov grew fearful.
(Back with Naruto and Mira)
"Before we duke it out. I just want to know why you want to fight me?" Naruto, whilst excited to fight Mirajane in her Satan Soul again, wanted to know what was going on.
"You missed quite a bit. Laxus announced what he calls the Battle of Fairy Tail. A fighting festival between the members of Fairy Tail." Mira's voice was cold and callous, something Naruto noticed, but his thoughts were on the fighting festival Mira just mentioned.
"Fighting festival? Now you're speaking my language." Naruto rushed Mira with both fists channelling water.
'Forgive me Naruto.' Mira began to think about the deal she made with Laxus.
(Flashback)
"You want me to hurt my friends? I'm sorry, but no chance in hell!" Mira exclaimed angrily, but Laxus channelled lightning into his left hand and was ready to hit the still unconscious Elfman. "Wait!" Mira pleaded for Laxus to stop, with the latter just an inch shy away from Elfman's face.
"Well, do you agree to my terms now?" Laxus asked in a cold tone.
"As long as you let go of Elfman and promise to gently knock him out during the battle, then I'll join up with you. You have my word." Mira looked down, knowing that she just made a deal with the devil.
"Don't worry, you won't have to kill anyone. You're going to stop anyone else from outside the town from interfering, no matter who they are. Right now, in our group you are the strongest, second to me. I can promise that no harm will come to your brother after the festival, of course my Thunder Legion will need to be a little rough with him. Not enough to endanger his life but to knock him out. I am a man of my word after all." Laxus smirked, he knew Mira would keep to their agreement, because Elfman was her last remaining family member.
"I agree with your terms. I will fight whoever you want as long as Elfman is alive and not badly injured." Mira knows what Elfman is like and he would join the battle, but if she told him the truth, Laxus and his cronies would do worse to him.
"Good. Now, let me tell you the details of my plan and you need to pay attention." Laxus commanded from her.
(End Flashback) (Play Dragon Ball Sparking Zero OST-Flurry of Power)
Naruto was the first to move, attempting a right jab only for Mira to grab his arm, but Naruto flipped his body to the side where his right leg was right above Mira's head. He channelled water into his leg and kicked Mira. Mira let go of his arm and avoided his attack. But Naruto rolled around and channelled water into his other leg, spinning around to land a hit on Mira, who skidded back whilst still standing.
"Dark Blast!" Mira unleashed a blast of darkness from her right hand, which hit Naruto dead on and sent him flying back.
'Oof! Mira still packs a punch. I don't think I can hold back against her.' Naruto crouched on the ground, taking a four-point sprint start position. He once again channelled water into his feet and used them to propel himself forward. Naruto pulled back his water-enhanced right fist, with Mira doing the same with hers, except with dark energy. This caused a shockwave, but Naruto was the one sent back by the impact.
Mira stood her ground and then flew towards him, landing a punch to his gut and then grabbing his left arm, throwing him the other side. As he was flung, Naruto quickly rebounded before Mira could attack him again.
'He's stronger than he was two years ago. I remember when he used to challenge me every day. But it's no use Naruto, I regained my old power and in terms of power, you're no match for me!' Mira gathered darkness which formed into a sphere in her palm.
'Oh crap….She ain't playing!' Naruto slammed his palms to the ground as Mira released a powerful dark blast at him. 'I need water if want to at least match her power. I didn't even struggle this much with Kimimaro before he entered his demon form. No…..Despite not using Satan Soul, she's still stronger than him in his demon form. But fighting him made me stronger too!' Naruto quickly slammed both hands into the ground to release a wall of water which spanned a few feet. He also secretly channelled into his feet again.
"Evil Explosion!" Mira unleashed her spell onto Naruto, his water wall shattering and sent him flying back. He smirked and released a blast of water help him move fast. 'That little…..He's gotten smarter.' Mira followed him only to see him land by the river just outside the entrance of Magnolia Town. 'No! He wants to consume water!' Mira tried to stop him by releasing another blast of darkness, causing large debris.
"You're too late Mira!" Naruto released a burst of water from his body to send the large debris at Mira.
"You think rocks can stop me!" Mira slapped the debris away only for Naruto to appear behind one. 'Crap! He used it as cover!' Naruto breathed and unleashed his Water Dragon's Roar, sending her back flying, only for Mira to spin around, dissipating the water and channelled darkness into the space between her hands. It formed into in spherical vortex.
'If that hits me…I can't let it hit me!' Naruto gathered water into his right hand. Mira recognised the spell.
'That's Master Jiraiya's spell. He's using a water version of it.' Naruto's Rasengan collided with the blast of darkness Mira unleased. Naruto got closer to Mira, but her Soul Extinctor spell was holding him back. 'He's coming closer, please stop Naruto. I'm holding back my attack. I don't want to hurt you too much.'
"Hey! I don't care why you're fighting but if you hold back now, I won't forgive you!" Naruto told her, even though he would lose, he would rather lose gracefully.
'Of course. This is Naruto after all.' Mira stopped holding back so much and released more power.
(OST End)
'If only I could use Dragon Force.' Naruto's spell shattered as he got closer to Mira and he was hit dead on by Mira's spell. He hit the ground and his attire was shredded.
"You did well Naruto. But I have regained my true power and because of it, I was the stronger one between us. The only one who can defeat me is Erza and the only reason she can now is because I'm out of shape. You fought well, but it is over." Mira was about to leave but her eyes widened as Naruto got back up.
"And you forgot. I don't go down so easily. I took down a guy named Kimimaro about a week ago. And I've gotten stronger since I fought him. I even beat Sasuke too. I'll get stronger and stronger. I'll beat you, maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but one day I will. You, Erza, Laxus and Gildarts. You S-Class wizards think that you guys are at the peak, always looking above you, but sometimes you guys need to look down." Naruto slammed his hands together, water flowing through them. He opened them as the water was connected forming bubbles inside it.
'This spell….Did he say Kimimaro!? That's a name I haven't heard for a while. Not since we fought 3 years ago.' Mirajane remembered when she was 16 and she fought and defeated said person. 'Naruto wouldn't make a claim like this. He's serious and that means I need to take him down now. I can't maintain this form for long, not until I re-train myself.'
'My arms are in pain. I took a hit and a spell like that would normally take me out, but if I'm going down. I'm going down with one last attack!' Naruto jumped up and unleashed his attack. Mira flew towards him, getting hit by a few bubbles but she powered through and channelled dark-coloured electricity and hit Naruto, grabbing his face before slamming it into the ground, hitting him with more darkness.
"You need to learn how to give up already." Mira let go and stood back up, reverting to her true form. She turned around only to turn back around in fear. Naruto was injured greatly, but he was still standing. "H-How!?" Mira took a step back but then noticed something. 'He's already lost consciousness, but he's standing up!' Mira did not expect this. Naruto then fell face first, his defeat was verified.
(Back to Makarov's group)
'Naruto lost!? Why Mira?' Levy saw this and began to work diligently. She tried earnestly to undo the runes, which would allow Natsu and Gajeel to counterattack. They spotted the Thunder Palace, with Bisca destroying one of the Lacrima, only to be zapped by lightning because it was connected via Organic Link Magic. Lucy and the others left, apart from the injured Bisca, Hinata and Levy.
"Erza. We're counting on you." Makarov then saw that the number increased for their side. 'One more person? But who? It can't be Gilarts, otherwise the town would be in shambles…..Wait…..Mystogan!' Makarov was happy, but he still felt weak after seeing Naruto was taken out. 'My chest is starting to feel heavy. We must end this soon.'
(With Laxus)
'Sorry Naruto. But I can't let you interfere either. I'll make it up to you later after Fairy Tail weeds out its weak.' Laxus did not hate Naruto for losing to Mira because he knew that Mira is incredibly powerful, and he personally helped her become strong in a short amount of time. 'Of course, she can't use Satan Soul regularly because it's been two years before she started using it again. Her magic power hasn't dropped but she's still a little rusty.'
Laxus then looked at the screen and smirked. He knew that Mystogan had arrived and he was looking forward to fight him.
(Grimoire Heart's Current Location)
"Looks like Lord Sasuke has become much stronger. His demon form gives him a large boost in magical power and enhanced offensive abilities. So much so that he could become one of kin." Caprico, one of the Seven Kin of Purgatory spoke to Master Hades, guild master of Grimoire Heart.
"Lord Sasuke? You're giving him too much praise Caprico. He's just a loser who drank some demon blood and thinks he's hot shit. If he wants to be one of us, he needs to prove his worth." Zancrow interjected, he had an annoyed look on his face.
"Maybe, but he saved my life. So, he is a member of our guild now. But, Zancrow is right. The Uchiha lost to a member of Fairy Tail despite having an elemental advantage. Master Hades, what will you do with him?" Ultear question the ancient man's motives.
"There are many in our ranks. Whilst he won't join your ranks Ultear, his current strength is sufficient. He may reach the Ultimate Magic World with us, but we will keep an eye on him." Hades told them with authority. They all bowed and understood, leaving after being dismissed.
"Who did the Uchiha lose to? I heard that Fairy Tail possesses some extraordinary wizards." Azuma asked Ultear directly.
"The one they call the Paladin of the Sea. Naruto Uzumaki. A user of Water Dragon Slayer Magic." Ultear replied, then looked at Zancrow after he scoffed.
"Dragons? Bah! Those things don't exist, just make believe." Zancrow did not believe in dragons and thinks those who claim that they learned this magic were fakers.
"Even if you believe that is the case. I would like to meet him and fight him. He even defeated Kimimaro Kaguya." Azuma was impressed and kept a note of Naruto, among other members of Fairy Tail.
"Hmph! Big deal! All of us could beat Kimimaro with not even a tenth of our power. Maybe a few years ago he was on our level but now he has no chance." Zancrow considered Grimoire Heart to be the strongest and nothing would change his mind.
"I do not think so. I fought him over a year ago and he was able to hold his own in his demonic form. But that battle was cut short when Master Hades recalled me." Azuma admitted this. 'Whilst I enjoyed the fight, he still had a long way to go before he could ever defeat me.'
"You didn't go all out, and you know it. I get that you wanted a good fight, but I still say that you're overestimating those fairies." Zancrow told him with complete confidence and also had a lot of arrogance in his tone.
"Believe what you want. We may face them one day." Azuma replied to Zancrow, tiring of this conversation, he left shortly.
'Azuma is right. It seems crossing paths with Fairy Tail again will be inevitable.' Ultear thought to herself. Her thoughts then changed to those of Sasuke. 'What are you after Uchiha?'
(Back to Magnolia Town)
Gray was taken out by Bickslow who used a sneak attack, trapping Gray in an area filled with runes. The rule was that Gray could not use his magic and was defeated, but not before Gray landed a solid hit against him.
Afterwards, Lucy defeated Bickslow with the help of Loke, who returned to his original form of Leo the Lion, the leader of the 12 Celestial Spirits of the Zodiac.
Laxus had an argument with Freed earlier and convinced him to fight with everything he has. Freed had some confliction with the Thunder Palace, but he was convinced that there was no turning back now. He carried on with the plan and awaited by the lake and around the outskirts of the town, opposite from where Naruto and Mira had their battle.
"Erza. To think I would run into you of all people." Freed drew out his rapier, pointing it towards her. Erza, who was clad in her Heart Kreuz Armour, drew out her own sword.
"Freed. Did not think you would be here. Where is Laxus!?" Erza demanded from him. Unlike the other weak-willed men of Fairy Tail, at least when it concerned Erza's ire, Freed did not fear Erza when she was angry.
"I will not divulge this information. You must face me in battle if you wish to get to Laxus." One of Freed's eyes turned dark.
'Freed is the strongest of the Thunder Legion and is only second to Laxus himself. He shall not be an easy opponent to defeat, especially with his runes.' Erza took a stance and was ready to fight the green-haired man. Freed was first to attack, rushing towards Erza.
(Magical Council Prison)
"I'm so happy to see you again, my love." Kimimaro was reunited with Haku, who was placed in the cell next to his. They were heavily guarded and resigned themselves to their fate.
"That's my line, my love." Haku's left hand went through the gaps in the bars and grasped Kimimaro's hand.
"What's this!?" Suddenly, the room was shrouded in darkness.
'This darkness…..Simon?' Kimimaro knew about Simon's spell since Jellal told him about it and he even witnessed Simon's spell firsthand. 'I was told that he died.' Kimimaro and Haku then heard the guards being knocked out. The darkness dissipated and stood in front of their cells were none other than Jellal and Simon.
"Lord Jellal? What are you doing here?" Kimimaro did not expect to see him, neither did Haku.
"It's good to see you two again. Looks like they were kind enough to place you in cells next to each other, possibly Kakashi's doing. However, I am in need of your services again. For that I will need to free you from your prison." Jellal took out some keys. "And consider this as an apology for causing your imprisonment." Jellal opened each cell and undid their chains.
"What will you have us do?" Haku asked after glancing at Kimimaro briefly.
"Not here. First, we must escape." Jellal told them and they all made their escape.
End. Thank you for the wait. As you can see, I am diverging canon events and changed up the battles. I plan on shaking things up like I have for Dark Heart. Now, Naruto is not aware of how dangerous Laxus' Battle of Fairy Tail really is, because he overslept. Kurama is still at home sleeping.
Naruto has become stronger than he was at the Tower of Heaven and Mirajane, regained her true power. However, I will say this, Mirajane practised her Satan Soul before her battle with Naruto and whilst she never used it for two years, she still used her other magic. She only needs to train to maintain Satan Soul longer and to use her stronger offensive spells. Her current weakness is also shared with another character in this story and you guys can guess.

Now, I appreciate the offer, I really do, but I have been sent so many private messages about this very topic. If I am interested, I will message any artists about artwork, but currently, I am always so busy and I write this story whenever I have spare time.
