AN: sorry for the loooooooooong wait everyone I finely got my own computer so I'm no longer trying to get someone to let me borrow theirs and now that I am over my writers block I plain to update as soon as I finish writing I want to thank elfigh for the very long and detailed story idea and also everyone else who sent me ideas when I read them I had all these thoughts running around in my head and this is what came of it all hope you all like it and if anyone has any more ideas I would love to hear them

Chapter twelve

(Rins pov)

Not long after the whole Liz creeping me out thing things got better. We decided to watch a movie and when the boys finely picked one we all sat down to watch it. It wasn't long before we were all starting to fall asleep just like the last few times we had watched movies together. The only thing that was different this time was I was curled up next to Sesshomaru and the nightmares that haunt me stayed away.

The next morning brought with it its own set of problems. Ayame was the one to bring it to everyone's attention when she started laughing like a loon.

"I-I'm so-r-ryy it just came t-to me that s-soon the whole s-sc-school will know you two are dating!" she finally spit out. At first it didn't bother me as we had been dating for a while now and no one knew about it. But as I looked around at my friends it came to me that some of them were just horrible at keeping their mouths shut and that was when my heart just dropped to the floor.

Life at school was bad enough with the whole not talking and then with me walking around with Sess and the others life was complicated. I could just imagine what it would be like when the girls learned Sess and I are together! Sensing my alarm Sesshomaru wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled me to him so the there was no space between us. Leaning down he whispered in my ear, "Don't worry Rin. I won't let anyone mess with you."

I smiled knowing he meant it and that he was more than able to keep his promise. I also knew that the first moment they got those girls were going to pounce one me for daring to take their Sesshomaru away from them. They just couldn't understand that he didn't want any of them or he would have had them already. Of course they wouldn't see it that way they would see it as I took their Sesshomaru right out for their hands, I guess in a way I did but whatever.

The rest of the weekend passed far too quickly for me and soon we were at the breakfast island waiting for Sango to come pick us up. It wasn't long before we heard the car honk outside. We said are goodbyes to everyone and ran outside at the curb was Sango's black Mercedes after we got in Sango took off for the school. The day promised to be sunny and warm not a cloud in the sky. We got to the school sooner than normal so after we parked we went to go find the boys, they were sitting at one of the many outside tables that everyone eats at when the weather is nice.

The bell rang and we made our way through all the other bodies walking into the building. At the split in the hall were Sess and I had to part I hesitated a moment and Sesshomaru walked by me running his fingers down my arm as he did. He didn't look back but I sent him a smile anyway then made my way to my own locker. First hour flew by but second hour was just dragging on and on and on.

I knew it was because this was the last class I had to spend away from Sess and the teacher was reviewing everything we had done so far in her class so it was boring to say the least. I glanced over at Koga and he rolled his eyes and yawned. I smirked and nodded in total agreement.

Suddenly the classroom door burst open and a demon girl was standing their breathing heavy and looking around with wild eyes. She completely ignored the teacher when she demanded to know what she was doing. It took me a moment to recognize her, but when her eyes found me I knew who she was. She was the one who had tried to keep me from going to Sesshomaru when he was about to kill the Professor. Her silver eyes locked on me and she made her way over to me and pulled me out of my chair, not even seeming to hear Koga's warning growl.

"You need to come with me now!" was all she said before she started to pull me from the room not paying attention teacher any more then she had the first time, pulling me at nearly a run out the door and down the hall. I knew my friends were following us and that made me feel better but the moment we set foot on the stairs she no longer had to pull on me to get me to follow her.

A strong demonic aura was coming from the top floor and was slowly spreading throughout the building it wouldn't be long before even those out in the street who be able to feel it. I had a bad feeling I knew just who it was coming from. Once we reached the third floor I knew I was right.

A large group of people were gathered around an open door half way down the hall. All of them had their eyes locked on the seen in front of them some even had their mouth hanging open. Students and teachers were all just staring at whatever was going on in the room before them.

The demon girl dragged me through the crowed, and to the door were she stopped suddenly her eyes going wide and her jaw dropping. I looked passed her and felt my eyes widen in shock. The students in the room were all pressed against the far wall desks and chairs were tipped over and a lager section was knocked over in a half circle as if something heavy was slammed along them with force. Everyone in the room all had their eyes locked on two people standing near the front of the room near the scattered desks. I knew without looking who it was. I had known the moment I felt his aura and when Koga stepped up behind me and sucked in a sharp breath I knew I was right. It was then that I allowed myself to look at the two demons that I had only seen out of the corner of my eye so far.

Sesshomaru was holding a demon boy up by his neck the seen was every close to the one I had stopped before. The difference being that it was a student this time and Sesshomaru was far more pissed this time. His eyes were blood red with blue pupils and the strips on his face were jagged. His fangs were longer and his claws far sharper than normal. His growl was deep and spelled death for the boy he held in the air against the wall. I knew I had to act or this was going to end every badly for the demon boy.

I stepped into the room and felt every eye turn to me before they again locked their gazes on the danger. I to kept me eyes on Sess but he didn't even seem to notice I was there. Slowly I made my way closer to them knowing that even like this I was in no danger from Sesshomaru but the boy was so I walked slowly.

The demon was trying to pull air in to his lungs with very little luck, his skin was turning pail and his body was covered in sweat. He was trying to pull Sesshomaru's hand away from his throat but not getting anywhere.

As I looked at him I realized that he was one of the people from the school newspaper. I had thought he looked familiar with his light brown hair and pail eyes. It was then that I almost slipped. I looked down and was met with about fifty or so pictures and all of them were of me.

The pictures just went on and on, looking up I knew this is what had pissed Sesshomaru off I just didn't know how I was going to calm him down now. So I took a deep breath and looked over at Sesshomaru he hadn't moved and he was allowing the boy to get some air but I knew that wouldn't last long. I took another step toward them and Sess growled I thought he was telling me to stay back but then noticed that he demon went still again.

I stepped closer until I was almost able to touch Sesshomaru then stopped I couldn't bring myself to get any closer to the boy, but I knew I had to or Sess would ignore me. Stepping closer I placed my hand on Sesshomaru's arm – the one not holding the demon – and looked up at him. He wouldn't meet my eyes not even when I pulled on him.

So I did the hardest thing in my life I opened my mouth and in a soft calm voice said, "Sesshomaru put him down."

His eyes flashed to me and away he growled low and tightened his grip. I tugged on him again stepping closer as I did. He glanced at me and bared his fangs his grip closing even tighter on the demon boy. He choked and Sesshomaru turned back to him.

"Sesshomaru stop this." Once more his blood red eyes locked with mine. "You know you can't kill him, just let him go now."

Not once did his eyes leave mine as I spoke and his grip started to loosen just slightly. That is until the demon boy started to move and that movement brought him to close to me for Sesshomaru's liking.

One simple movement was all it took and Sesshomaru spun and slammed the demon into the wall next to the door I had come in, he hit hard enough to crack the wall but not enough to go straight through it. Sess made to go after him and without thinking about it I stepped in front of him, wrapping my arms around him knowing that if he didn't let me I wouldn't be able to stop him.

"Sess stop please. He's not worth it." I could feel every muscle in his body quiver with the need to move to fight but he stayed still in my arms. Looking up I was met with a snarl and blooded red eyes. With a growl he grabbed me by my arms, but his grip was light.

"They just photos Sess. He didn't hurt me. Let it go. Please for me." I spoke softly knowing every demon there would hear me anyway.

No one moved. No one spoke every eye was locked on the demon holding me. Even the demon boy who had taken the pictures was waiting with his eyes locked on the two of us his eyes almost closed his breathing fast and shallow. He was holding his left arm and blood was running down the side of his face.

Slowly very slowly Sesshomaru's fangs went back to their normal length and the snarl started to fade along with the growl, but still he held me and his eyes were still blood red. Suddenly he growled and pulled me so close to him there was no space between our bodies. Before I could react his lips were on mine and the whole room went even more silent if that is possible.

I had known that everyone would find out about the two of us I just never thought it would be because Sesshomaru kissed me in front of everyone! Even through my shock I responded to him instantly. Melting into him and kissing him back.

The kiss seemed to go on forever and when he broke it to give me much needed air his eyes were once more the beautiful amber that I loved. No one had moved one inch and still had their eyes locked on the two of us, but now their mouths were just inches off the ground. It would have been funny, but Kitty just so happened to be in this class. Anyone remember who Kitty is? Yeah she is the one who almost ruined picture day. I knew she was going to be out to get me now, but at the moment I just couldn't seem to care.

Not taking his eyes off mine Sess took my hand and started toward the door, only then looking away from me. No one made a move to stop him or say anything at all. At the door he stopped long enough to tell Koga to pick up the pictures, and then he was back to pulling me down the hall.

I couldn't help but smile as I was dragged for the second time that day down a hallway. This time though it didn't bother me at all. The farther down the stairs we got the more people we ran into and the more whispers were starting. We passed Inuyasha on the second floor with Sango. He tried to stop us to see what was going on, but his brother just ignored him and kept going. The same thing happened when we ran into Miroku.

He didn't even stop for the principle, who saw us on our way out the front door. I didn't say a word just followed him as he made his way to his car. It had surprised me when I saw it sitting next to Miroku's jeep earlier, but I was glad he had driven himself today.

I knew he needed to get out of the school and away from everyone. Once we reached his car he unlocked my door and helped me in before closing it and walking around to his side. The moment he was in his seat he started the car and we speed out of there. He wouldn't look at me and he said nothing, his eyes locked on the road as he speed toward his house. I knew he didn't want me to speak at the moment so I kept silent waiting for him to speak first.

By the time we were parking in his drive he still had said nothing and still had yet to look my way. It was almost as if we had gone back in time to when we first met, but I knew he was simply waiting until we got to wherever it was he was taking me. I could tell because unlike when we first met the air was warm not ice cold.

The open door told me that his parents were home, and sure enough when we walked through the front door Izayoi stepped out of the living room.

"Sesshomaru? Rin what are the two of you doing home you should be at school. What happened?" her voice was soft and filled with concern. Sesshomaru walked right past her not bothering to answer and didn't give me a chance to tell her anything either. Before we turned down another hall I saw his father come up beside Izayoi. He didn't look surprised to see us and he didn't look angry either. He just took his wife by the arm and turned her back toward the living room.

Sesshomaru pulled me down hall way after hall way until we came to the pool room and out the sliding glass door into the garden. I thought he might be taking me to the garden bench, but we went right by it.

We continued working our way out of the garden, then past every out building on their property. Finally he stopped by a lager tree out in the middle of their land; it was surrounded by so many other trees and bushes that it was a mini forest.

He let go of my hand and just stood there not looking at me and not moving. I couldn't take the silence anymore it was going to drive me insane. I took a step toward him and reached for his arm.

"Sess."

My hand didn't even touch him before he turned around and grabbed me around the waist pulling me against him. He held me almost too tight; he buried his nose in my neck and stood there not moving.

"I really wanted to kill him Rin. I still want to kill him." He whispered.

I could hear the anger in his voice and I could tell he was holding on by a thread. So I did the only thing I could think of. I pulled his face up to mine and kissed him with everything I had. With a rumbling growl he returned my kiss, deeping it and turning it into something more. I don't know how, but we somehow wound up on the ground, still wrapped up in each other's arms. His hand found my bare skin under my shirt, but he didn't let it go any farther than that. He pulled away his breathing as rough and fast as mine.

Sess helped me sit up and straiten my clothes. I knew I was as red as an apple and when I looked up at Sesshomaru he had a bit of a smirk on his face. I turned away from the look in his eyes but couldn't help but hear the soft laugh that left his lips.

"You always know how to make me forget what is on my mind."

"You mean I know how to stop you from killing people."

"So you do." With that he kissed me once more.

(Izayoi's pov)

"You sure we should leave the two of them alone? Sesshomaru seemed really upset."

"Yes honey I'm sure we should leave them alone. It's nothing to worry about."

"What do you mean? He never ditches school what-"

"He just found the one he wishes to protect." The smile on my husband's face told me he knew exactly what was going on and wasn't going to give me any more information than that. Sometimes he could be so exasperating, then again that seemed to just be a dog demon trait.

AN: ok so that's it for now let me know how you like it again sorry for the long wait but I should be able to update sooner on another note I have finally had the surgery I needed and am doing much better oh and I'm getting married to so plz don't forget to R&R and if you have any suggestions send them over.
