Even if his hair was charmed to be blond and his every step squeaked as he walked, he was still feeling pretty damn good this morning as he stood by the stove cooking up breakfast for everyone. "So," Harry called out over his shoulder. "Now that I'm here, can we please get around to telling me what this whole secret you've been keeping is?"
Molly had wanted to handle the cooking but Harry had dissuaded her with his assurance that he could more than handle making the food for everyone in the house. It was his claim that he wanted to pamper Tonks after last night was enough to convince her to let him and seeing the metamorph's wild hair and permanent grin had been proof for the mother that whatever went on in the bedroom was more than satisfying.
"We're concerned about You-Know-Who because he's been making plans," Sirius said because at least that much was obvious. "He's been trying to get his Death Eaters into the Department of Mysteries."
"What's that?" Harry asked because he assumed it was a part of the Ministry of Magic but the mystery part well, made it a mystery.
"It's a branch of the ministry that investigates weird magic, we don't really know what all they do in there," Nymphadora answered. "We don't even know the names or faces of those who work there, they are called Unspeakables for a reason."
"There are some publicly known details like the room where The Veil is kept," Arthur answered and then hummed. "Well to be more accurate the ministry was originally built around The Veil but that's just nitpicking details."
"Is Voldemort after this Veil?" Harry questioned if this was the big reason for keeping him in the dark.
"Oh no, definitely not," Sirius quickly answered. "I don't think anyone would be after the Veil. It's not something you can just move. The Veil is a doorway, to where, no one knows, but nothing that's ever been sent through has come back."
"No he's after the Hall of Prophecies," Nymphadora said to get the conversation back on track. Seeing the displeased looks Molly was sending her way she tossed up her hands. "What, that's like the only other room in the Department that the public are told about, so Harry could just find out if he asked Hermione for a ministry pamphlet and he'd be able to guess that was the one."
"A prophecy, so like what Professor Trelawney does, you know when she's not completely drunk," Harry snickered because at this point he wasn't sure how he felt about prophecies since she'd predicted that Peter would get away and help bring his master back, which is exactly what happened.
"That would be accurate," Sirius nodded because he knew Harry was clever and it would simply be easier to just tell him what they were doing. "We don't know what the prophecy entails, just that You-Know-Who wants it, so we can't let him have it."
"What happens if he gets it, can he turn it into a weapon or use it against people?" Harry asked since he didn't rightly know what a prophecy was other than being told one.
"No… well, I mean he could probably smack someone in the head with it?" Nymphadora shrugged as they didn't exactly know how bad it would be if he got it since none of them knew what was in the prophecy, just that they shouldn't let that happen.
"What," Harry turned away from the stove. "Does that mean?"
"Well all true prophecies are kept in the Department in little glass orbs, they contain the telling of the prophecy along with some other information like who gave it, who it was given to and who it is about," Arthur answered because one of his colleagues had a prophecy about them, so he was aware of some of the procedure. "If you know you have a prophecy you can go request it from the department and they will let you retrieve it."
"Oh well then why don't I just go down to the ministry and get it? I assume it's about me and Voldemort," Harry shrugged because that seemed like the easiest solution. "I mean I can already guess what it's about so I don't really think it's all that big of a deal in the first place, but it puts an end to that."
Sirius opened his mouth to tell his godson that it wasn't going to be that simple when he paused. "Wait, wouldn't that work?" turning in his seat to Arthur, who shrugged in response. "We wouldn't have to bother guarding it from You-Know-Who if we already had it and keeping it here is bound to be safer."
"It's the beginning of the day, we could probably be in and out before anyone important enough is around to notice we were there at all," Nymphadora commented.
"We shouldn't," Molly protested against this hastily formed plan. "The headmaster would never approve of it."
Harry began to chuckle. "Well like when we went to save the Philosopher's Stone, it'll just be easier to go do it and tell him we're sorry after. And it's the ministry, even if we come across a death eater, they can't do anything in such a public place and I've never seen the ministry before."
"Oh yeah," Tonks pumped her fist in the air. "Field trip."
"Now wait just a minute," Molly tried to protest but Harry, Sirius and Tonks were already out of the room and the sound of the floo flaring told them they had left Grimmauld Place.
"Ah let the kids have their fun Molly," Arthur chuckled as he turned the page of the morning paper. "After all Harry's gone with to keep an eye on them, he's a responsible lad. He'll make sure Sirius and Nymphadora don't get into too much trouble."
Stepping out of the floo Harry waited with arms wide for Tonks to burst out so he could catch her. "Hello love," Harry grinned as he held her to his body, seeing her roll her eyes just made him laugh and steal a kiss.
"Come on you two, can't be holding up the lobby with your inability to keep your hands off each other," Sirius pointed out as there were still more people coming out of the floo and needing to walk around the pair.
Holding hands, they walked up to the station. "Next," Auror Munch tiredly yawned as he lazily registered the wands of everyone coming into the ministry. He just handed back Sirius Black's wand to him before looking a tad confused at the next pair.
"Tonks, what are you doing here? Last I heard you was fired, why you still coming in for a morning shift?" the man asked the witch.
"Nope, still fired," Nymphadora stated as she handed over her wand. "Just a regular old civvie now, got some business with one of the departments for my boytoy here."
The auror was reaching for the next wand and then paused as he looked at who it was. "Oh…," Auror Munch cringed. "Course it's Harry Potter. You'll need to wait here lad."
"What seems to be the problem?" Sirius expressed concern as he saw the auror send out his patronus. Harry hadn't any warrants for his arrest or anything like that at all, but he could see a number of aurors headed their way.
"Mr. Potter, put these on," the lead auror stated as he held out shackles. "New regulations for all creatures in the ministry."
Harry could see these were made of silver and the contact on his skin would leave burns that would take hours to treat. "Hold up Savage," Tonks said as she got in between the two.
"Why's he got to put on cuffs, he's done nothing wrong and it's the middle of the day?" Tonks demanded to know why suddenly Harry was getting singled out.
"Like I said," Savage grunted as he pushed Tonks out of the way and grabbed one of Harry's wrists and slapped the cuff on.
Hissing as smoke wafted off his skin, Harry looked ready to throw a punch with his free arm but he noticed that the three other aurors all had their wands drawn already. "All creatures must be restrained when in the ministry."
He knew that if he started a fight, Sirius and Tonks would back him on this, but… he'd be doing exactly what the ministry wanted. And the end result would be getting all of them thrown into Azkaban unless they overthrew the entire government. Slowly Harry raised his other arm and felt the cuff placed on him.
"Oh look, you can teach a mutt new tricks," Savage grinned as he pushed Harry forward.
Taking steps to get back to Sirius and Tonks who looked beyond pissed off, Harry noticed that the aurors were still following them as they walked.
"You already have him in chains, what more do you need?" Tonks said, keeping her voice barely below shouting level.
"He's already on the list as a problem, he has prior instances of violence, disobedience and we cannot allow such a dangerous animal to wander around the ministry," Savage stated as they all entered the elevator.
Sirius huffed angrily before looking at the operator. "Level Nine," Sirius stated and the man gulped nervously.
"What business do you have in the Department of Mysteries?" Savage asked.
"None of yours," Tonks stated because she wasn't going to give this piker anything that could possibly be used against Harry.
"Then maybe we don't allow you to go there," Savage said as he held his arm out to stop the three visitors from leaving the elevator after it came to the requested floor. "I'm sure a dark creature attempting to get so close to the Wizengamot warrants a full and proper investigation."
Sirius and Tonks gulped because this floor was the only way to get to level ten, and they knew that it wouldn't take much to spin Harry's first appearance at the ministry as some hairbrained scheme of terrorism.
"I believe that who and what business involving the Department of Mysteries is beyond your purview auror," a voice called out as Savage's arm was brought down. "As you already know."
Turning to see a man with a faceless cloak standing outside the elevator. "Come in Harry Potter, we've been eager to meet you for some time now," the Unspeakable stated as he motioned for Harry and his entourage to follow.
They came up to a dias in the center of the room and to Harry it felt like the entire room was spinning around. Once it stopped a door opened out of nothing and the Unspeakable motioned for Harry to go through. Turning back to see that he wasn't going into this dark place by himself, he noticed that the Unspeakable was standing in the way of the aurors.
"The law says that we can follow any threat to the ministry no matter where it goes," Savage growled out to the man.
"And the laws do not pertain to the Department of Mysteries and never have, you may not see what lies beyond if you do not have our permission to learn," the Unspeakable stated.
"He's just going into the Prophecy Room," Savage said as this meant it wasn't a secret to him.
"Oh really, you believe this to be the reason for his visit? You know how we want him to go in our own department? I think I will be speaking to Amelia and Cornelius, you have clearly been spying on the Department if you are making such claims."
Harry couldn't see the man but he was pretty damn sure he was smiling because his words had an immediate effect on the auror who paled.
"Go now, we have no need of you here," the Unspeakable said as he turned away and after crossing the threshold shut the door behind him. Once they were alone again, the Unspeakable flicked out his wand and the cuffs fell to the floor with a clatter.
Letting out a sigh of relief Harry began to rub his wrists that were already singed red from the reaction the metal had on his skin. "Thank you," Harry said gratefully to the unknown wizard.
"You are a most curious one Harry Potter," the Unspeakable stated as they started moving through the many rows of shelves full of glass orbs. "We have been wanting to get you to come see us but of course we could not simply just ask you to come, that changes things after all."
"And you bring to us something else that the department has an interest in studying," turning his head to face the metamorph. Tonks tried to put on a friendly smile but it was hardly effective when she felt so threatened by the Unspeakable, all sorts of rumors surrounded them and it was not exactly a secret that some who entered the department never left.
Picking up his mate's distress Harry shot out his arm to stop the man walking next to him. "Nymphadora. Is not. A thing. Call her that again and I don't care how helpful you have been, I will make you wish you chose a different career path," Harry warned because he was already on edge and this was not doing anything to calm him.
"I see, my mistake," the Unspeakable chuckled as he nodded to the wizard who lowered his arm.
"But for now we are content with your collecting of your prophecy orb," the Unspeakable stated as they came to a specific aisle.
"How did you know that's what we were here for?" Sirius questioned because it wasn't as if they told anyone that was their purpose for the visit.
"We know many things Padfoot," the man responded even though it had been pathetically easy to find the Order members under an invisibility cloak, stun one of them, look into their mind, document what was needed and return them to a state where they did not even notice the change had happened. But telling that would ruin the mystery and that's quite the antithesis to their entire life's work.
"So this is what Voldemort's been after, a dumb orb with some words in it," Harry said with a noticeable amount of disappointment in his tone.
"Yes it's quite an interesting one after all, we were surprised that it didn't go dark all those years ago. We've been tempted to try and ascertain what it entails ourselves, but Albus has been very tight lipped about it and does not allow Sybil to wander too far from the castle," the Unspeakable informed the others.
Turning to the people with him Harry then looked back to the orb. "And I can just take it and then… what just listen?"
"That's a possibility," the Unspeakable responded.
"But if I do… then doesn't that change things, if I don't know I'll always wonder for sure," Harry said as he reached up and plucked the glass ball off the cushion. He looked at it and saw half-formed faces in the swirling mist inside. And he thought back to how this little thing must have played such an important part in his life that he didn't even know it existed at all. Professor Trelawney had given him one herself when she spoke of Wormtail returning to his master and that he would rise, more terrible than before.
In Divinations he had been just coasting on it being a boring and easy class, that had been a mistake, he could have learned more and maybe done better. "But I'm not a good student, and maybe if I never listened to it then things would have changed," Harry said as he frowned at the orb in hand.
"But maybe I can change things now, after all a prophecy can only be true if there is someone there to hear it," Harry turned to Tonks and Sirius who were looking at him curiously. Drawing his wand, Harry cast a number of charms, to silence, distract attention away from it, make it invisible and then he smashed it on the floor and there was nothing.
Standing for a few moments in shock that Harry had just decided that this was the right course of action, the Unspeakable began bursting out laughing. "Oh you are definitely a surprise Harry Potter."
"We've been wanting to know what the prophecy about the Dark Lord was for years and years and you finally come to us and then no one gets to hear it," the Unspeakable commented while holding their gut.
"If you think that was the right thing to do then, I support it," Sirius finally said after coming to grips that his godson had just undone a majority of the Order's work in one swift decision. "The others might not though."
Shrugging at his godfather, Harry held out his hand to Tonks. "I think we're done here," Harry nodded his head to the Unspeakable who just nodded back.
Once they were back in the elevator, the Unspeakable turned to the side to look at a spot before four more revealed themselves. "So did you hear it?" the Unspeakable asked, even though the answer was already known.
"Of course," the other said. "Lily was right, her son is something special."
"The Power the Dark Lord Knows Not," another commented.
"It has to be bravery," the third stated. "One feared the unknown so much they became an abomination to avoid it, the other has at each and every turn embraced it, for better or worse."
"We'll need to scrap our plans to get the metamorph down here," the Unspeakable that had been with the group the entire time said. "I don't believe we'd survive The-Boy-Who-Lived's attempt to get her back otherwise."
"No, we didn't," another Unspeakable stated matter of factly as all five now pulled out time turners in synchrony before spinning and disappearing together.
Returning to the headquarters Harry found that the children had been tasked with cleaning the home as Molly watched over them. "Oh good you're back dearies," Molly said as she approached.
"Quick and easy," Sirius grinned as he knew that telling Albus that Harry had gone and smashed the bloody thing would upset him, but dammit all if that had not been the most impressive action he'd seen in a while.
"Come on Harry, let me get some murtlap for those burns," Tonks said as she started to lead Harry upstairs.
"Burns?" Molly questioned and Sirius frowned.
"New rules at the ministry, creatures have to be controlled," responding with a growl Sirius just went over to sit in his armchair. "I tried to do what I could to stop these laws from getting passed, but even within the light side there are more people afraid of werewolves than there are that care about treating them as something other than a disaster waiting to happen."
"Do you think that will change?" Molly asked what the current political state was.
"Not likely, and I suspect that things are going to get a lot worse when, not if, Voldemort gets all the werewolves on his side again," Sirius lamented because this war was going to be as ugly as the last one.
The housewife sagged at that statement. Harry had to suffer so much and it never seemed to end for him.
Upstairs Tonks was rubbing the oil gently onto Harry's skin and already the flesh looked less raw than it had minutes ago. "It'll probably take a couple of days, silvers a real bitch on you isn't it," stating the obvious as Harry let Tonks tend to him.
"Yeah," Harry rested his eyes as the burning feeling started to go away. "Tonks, I… I need to confess something to you."
"What is it?" The metamorph looked up at her boyfriend.
"Voldemort made me an offer, in the graveyard, to join him and… I know he's a bastard but I keep having nightmares that this war goes on, and we're losing and then you… and you…" Harry tried to get out the words but he hated that these dreams had such control over himself. "I sometimes think that if I agreed to his terms that you'd be safe."
Blinking for a few moments that Harry was willing to throw in the towel for her sake, it was equal parts romantic and disheartening. "You know he'd never hold up his end of that bargain."
"I know, but if he did then you'd be safe and that's all I care about, you and Sirius, your parents and the other people close to me," Harry gulped. "I guess what I'm trying to say is that after all this time, after everything that's happened to me, how I've been treated, I don't really give a shit about everyone else. I know that makes me a horrible person but I only want to keep fighting because it means that you're safe Tonks."
"It doesn't make you a horrible person Harry," Tonks said as she pulled Harry into a hug. She understood where all this doubt was coming from. Her boyfriend was under incomprehensible pressure from just about every angle and there were so few people in his life that actually wanted him to have good things happen to him that it would be more impossible for him to still be this selfless savior.
"You've been hurt more than most people ever will. And the people who have been hurting you haven't cared one bit about how much you've done for them," running her fingers through his hair as she felt him hold onto her. "But I know that one day, when this is all over and you and I are standing on an altar together, that they will have wished they treated you better."
"If you have doubts, that's fine, we all have them, yours are just bigger. But, I'm always here to listen to you, so you don't have to let them fester," Tonks smiled and smooched Harry's nose.
"Us? At the altar," Harry gulped because that was all he was thinking about.
"Pfft, well yeah," Tonks chuckled as she dragged a finger along Harry's chest. "You don't own making super romantic speeches to your fiance, you're just better at it I guess."
Harry's hands rose up to pull her into him as he smashed his lips onto hers. "I love you Nymphadora," Harry breathlessly said as he went in for seconds.
Sirius heard some pounding upstairs and rolled his eyes, flicking his wand to silence the noise.
Nymphadora moaned and bit Harry's lip as his hands ran up her sides, pulling her shirt over her head, they broke apart and Harry latched onto her neck, giving it a soft nip before kissing and sucking on the flesh.
Her fingernails dug into his back as she felt him grind his pelvis into hers. "Oh fuck," the woman gasped out as Harry's hands quickly removed the bra, a motion he'd gotten to practice a number of times this summer as her breasts were exposed to the air. She stretched as Harry gripped one and molded it between his fingers, putting his lips on her skin and kissing it.
"You taste," Harry groaned as he dropped his free hand to grab Nymphadora's ass. It was so bountiful even constrained by her tight jeans. "So good Tonks."
"Just get me out of these clothes," Nymphadora said as she bent over to start to undo her pants but she was fighting off the werewolf that just couldn't keep his hands to himself. "If you don't let me get my clothes off I'm just going to be stuck in these wet panties."
"I don't mind," Harry murmured as he hated being apart from Tonks even for a few seconds that he pulled her back into his chest and moved back into the sink, knocking things off the counter, picking her up and spinning he set her down and started to kiss her body. His head quickly disappearing between her thighs.
"Baby yes," Nymphadora cried out as she felt his tongue stroking her cunt through the fabric. She braced herself because she knew that her boyfriend could only go so long before making her cum her brains out with his parseltongue skills. And she was right to do so as he practically sang and she felt Nirvana.
It was as if every time he got down there he challenged himself to get her off faster and more frequently before. Letting orgasm after orgasm crash over her she was totally sopping wet for his shaft to plunge in until their hips met. The only worry she had was that this sink wouldn't stand up to the power of Harry's thrusting as he buried his face in the crook of her neck and was pounding away like it would save the world if he could fill her womb with his cum. "Do it Harry, fuck me like I'm your bitch."
Harry grunted as he felt his girlfriend's tight little hole squeeze his cock. "I… have… to… cum… in you," Harry panted as his hands gripped her bum and he pulled his head up.
There was a manic sex crazed look in Harry's eyes as he stared into hers, she reached her hands around his head and pulled him into a kiss, she felt him hilt inside her and release while their tongues wrestled one another.
Once Harry's cock softened enough to flop out of her, she heard the pitter patter of his seed dripping out of her and onto the floor. "God Harry, you make such a mess, first this room and then my womb," Nymphadora teased her boyfriend who gave a cheeky smile after seeing that he hadn't been careful about the things in the room with them. "How about we go up to our room where we don't have to worry about things like that."
"I think we're going to have to clean this up first," Harry looked around. It wouldn't exactly be fair for them to have sex and get their fluids all over the place and then expect someone else to clean it up.
"I guess so," Nymphadora chuckled because that'd be pretty messed up. "And I should probably put my clothes back on so I don't flash the whole house when I step out."
As she bent over to pick up her bra, she felt a pair of hands grip her hips and a hot throbbing tip poke her backside. "Well, it's not like we have to go anywhere just yet though."
