3rd round of the Tournament of Terrawr! I can see the light beyond the tunnel! I'm almost done writing using Terra's type of speech!

Location: Labradorra City

The second round of Terra's Tournament had concluded for two of the five matches. Percival gazed at the pixelated image of Lucille, sighing before proceeding to the next room. The tournament was far from over. The only positive aspect, however, was that Percival now knew there was no chance of dying. Even better, there was a possible way to save everyone… despite having no idea how.

"Oi, you made it!" Upon walking into the room, Percival had a slap on the back. Hardy was glad to see Percival despite the circumstances.

"...I see you did as well. I'm sure the Chessmaster treated you well." Percival broke a smile, trying to keep his mind off of things.

"Ol' Hatman nearly had me beat back there, but he choked. Can't say I blame 'im though." Hardy honestly felt sad that he had to beat Radomus. "I get the feeling he and I ain't so different. Only time had longer to wear him down. Sometimes I think, what if that happens to me someday?"

"I think you're looking far too far ahead." Percival shook his head with doubled words. The two of them were plenty young, but on the other hand, they were still in a "Death" tournament.

"...Can't tell if that's you boastin' or you actually tellin' me to not worry about it." Hardy shook his head, "But you, if you get paired to me, I ain't gonna lose twice."
Before Percival could respond, there was a loud slam as Saphira burst into the room, slamming the door behind her. She was the victor against Charlotte, and it was clear that Saphira was furious about it. For all Saphira knew, she had just killed her youngest sister, someone she had sworn to protect.

"You good?" Hardy asked hesitantly, before immediately regretting it from the glare he received from Saphira. "All right, all right, sorry for asking."
"..." Percival was silent. For a second, he wondered how Nero would react to Lucille losing, only to realize Nero also knew there was no risk of death. But how was he going to play it? Wouldn't it be suspicious if he wasn't angry or twice as angry as Saphira?

"Are there exits?" Saphira asked coldly.

"None that we can see." Percival sighed.

"Then time's wasting." Saphira was determined to see the next round happen soon. "Let's start the next round."

"We have two people missing." Percival corrected.

"We're waiting on Nero and my sister, yeah?" Hardy had his bets for who was walking out of the last match. Sadly, he didn't believe Cal or Florina was going to win.

"Incorrect." Though Hardy was wrong about that account when Florina entered the room,

"Whoa! Rini, you actually beat her?" Hardy blinked as he didn't believe his sister would lose.

"Correct." Florinia simply stated.

"Tehn, I guess we're waiting on Nero." Percival blinked. He was surprised that Nero would be the last person here.

"4LR1GHT! WH0'S R3ADY FOR THE N3XT ROUND!" Terra's voice resounded, surprising everyone. They were about to move to the next round? What happened in Nero and Cal's match?

"Uh… Lady, I know your missin' a screw, but ain't there supposed to be another person here?" Hardy asked, confused.

"Yeah, where's-" Saphira stopped, surprising herself. She was honestly afraid to hear Nero's name come out. "Where's the winner of the last match?"

"oh that. yeah that was a draw. and both of them are dead." Terra's lack of emotion in the statement didn't help. If anything, Terra sounded annoyed that the match was a draw.

"Nero. Cal…" Percival finally spoke their name, and the names weren't blurred like the normal losers of the matches, so neither of them had been deleted. But to Percival, who understood that the Deletion wasn't killing anyone… "What do you mean they're dead? They should be deleted, no?"

"W3LL…" Terra trailed off as the wall before them lit up with a camera monitor… it showed Nero and Cal.

It seemed the match between Cal and Nero was nearing its end. The field was a Dark Crystal Cavern, highly advantageous for Nero, whose Pokémon thrived in Dark areas. This was further emphasized by the fact that Cal was down to his last Pokémon, a Mega Medicham, while Nero still had nearly half his team left.

Out on Nero's side was a black furred absol, a bone white horn atop its head. Grim's red eyes were looking for the right place to strike. Nero didn't look happy to be fighting, but he was doing it nonetheless.

"..." That's when Grim's eyes flashed blue, meeting Nero's silver eyes.

"Goddamnit…" Nero muttered a curse under his breath. "Lucille lost."

"?" Cal blinked; was Nero paying attention to someone else's battle? While still owning him?!

"Terra. I've had it with this damn tournament. You're damned riles, well, guess I'll make you regret riling me up."
"WH4T 4R3 Y0U GOING TO DO ABOUT IT?!" Terra obviously didn't believe Nero could do anything and taunted.

Nero, however, just threw a pitch black prism towards Grim. It wasn't a Megastone—a Darkium-Z Crystal. Grim caught the crystal in his mouth, turning back to Cal and his Medicham. Darkness started to Engulf Grim's horn. A black hole began to form. Empowered by the black crystals around them

"Sorry, Cal, but this isn't going to end in either of us winning this."

"Oh…shit…"

"Grim."

"..." Grim was silent as his white horn was dyed a voided black. The energy that sparked around it was great. It slammed into the field before a giant explosion erupted, knocking out the camera feed.

"4ND TH3Y ALL D1ED HAPPILY 3V3R AFTER." Terra's voice resounded as the feed went to black. "1 M3AN I COULDN'T EVEN FIND THEM AFTERWARDS… I ASSUME SISCON EDGELORD JUST MANAGED TO EVICERATE EACH OTHER BEYOND RECOGNITION."

"Oi, you tellin' me, Nero killed himself and his opponent because his sister lost?" Hardy asked incredulously.

"No. His response is consistent with past actions." Florinia stated fact. Yes, it was clear that Nero would do something irrational like this if triggered…

""..."" Though two were silent in this endeavor of Nero's. Percival knew the truth, only saw this as an attempt to have Terra take her vision away from Nero. Whether Nero would actually sacrifice Cal for this was unknown, but Percival chose to believe that Nero knew what he was doing. On the other hand, Saphira knew Nero, the type of person he was. Saphira was certain Nero would never have done something this dumb. Not unless he were certain he would take out his sisters would be killer… The only obvious idea Saphira had for what Nero was doing… Nero had something planned.

"NA0 B4CK T0 THE TOURNAMENT!"

After that, the tournament was forced to continue. Terra had chosen the pairs for the final four. The matches were Hardy vs Saphira and Percival vs Florinia.

"H-HEWW0?! WEWCOME TO THE THIWD W0UND AND SEMIFINAWS OF THE WABWADOWWA GWAND T0UWNAMENT OF dat ass." Terra continued to speak as if the tournament being held was being sponsored. "WE'd LIKE T0 REMIND TONIGHT's AUD1ENCE THAT THIS TOURNAMENT IS BR0UGHT TO YOU BY DEV0N CORPORATION AND THE LETTER 3. DEV0N CORP- "G3T Y0UR DEV ON"."

"..." Hardy looked up to the center of the arena. "That the best you could think of?"

"nooooo... but whaddya w4nt from me, eff0rt?" Terra sighed before blowing ear killing raspberry through the PA. "pfffffttt... pffffffFFBFBTTT PSHAWWWFFFFBBFFBTBTBTTTTTTTTTT7TTTTTTTT TTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT"

"Just get on with it already." Saphira sighed; she didn't particularly care how this tournament ended as of now.

"o i'll get it 0n all r1ght ;)" Terra's voice seemingly smiled as she continued introducing the first pair. "H1S ACCENT MAY BE FAKE, BUT HIS STUPID1TY IS NOT- THIS P0NY IS SO ONE TR1CK YOU COULD CALL HIM B1G MAC, IT'S THE MAN W1THOUT A PLAN, HARDLY! HE FACES 0FF AGA1NST A L1TERAL RAG1NG BULL!"

"No," Saphira stated bluntly. "He doesn't."

"ya-huh." Terra said with a taunting voice. "u a bullshit-ass bull cuz i said s0."

"And I'll fight," Hardy said, determination in his voice. He was kinda annoyed how Saphira had lost her fire and not too much how arrogant she has seemed to be. "I ain' exactly been a big fan of your attitude, mate. I'm more than willin' to take you down a notch or two!"

"And I can't say I appreciate your nonchalance about your sister's failure." Saphira's life was different from Hardy's. But for Saphira, Family was the most important thing, seeing Hardy's lack of care for his sisters' "deletion" didn't make her happy. If the circumstances were normal, she'd probably sock Hardy for not seemingly caring, but with having to defeat Charlotte… Saphira had no reason to continue. "I'm not here to split hairs. I'm not even here to fight."

"wat" Terra blinked as Saphira blatantly surrendered. But quickly tried to persuade Saphira to continue. "an' just wh44444t u think's gonna happen to your s1ster if y0u do that?"

Saphira swiftly countered Terra's question. "You said nothing can happen to them anymore and there's no way to bring them back. So there's no reason for me to go on."

"RAWWWWWWWWWRRRRR!" Terra screamed in annoyance. Why did having family lose with the idea of them dying put so much pressure on her darling little tournament? Shouldn't it be expected to want to win and continue to the next round? Why was this bitch being so tricky. "N0W HOLD ON JUST SEXOND! m44444y be nothing can happen to them anym0re, but that doesn't mean n0thing can be done about it."

"You're just trying to backpedal on saying that to egg the match on." Saphira's voice sounded like she wouldn't budge. In all honesty, her unwillingness to fight was holding the match hostage. "Unless you explicitly confirm that there's a way to save the losers, there's no reason for me to fight. Take me out now."

"(*DFH9o8dsfy9OUFDIH09S*DFh*(H" Terra cursed with nonsense. Again why was this bitch so difficult? "F1NE. Y3S, TH3RE'S A W4Y TO S4VE Y0UR PREC1OUS L1TTLE L0SERS.

r u happy na0."

"..." Saphira subtly smiled upon hearing that. Just what she wanted to hear, enough to make sense of Nero's little stunt. There was a way to un-delete the losers, and Saphira was certain Nero figured out how to do it without Terra. "Yes."

"You sure you ain't jus' sayin' that?" Hardy looked at Saphira with worry. Wasn't this just false hope?

"No, that's fine. The fact that she was willing to say that is enough." Saphira answered as another question clicked in her mind.

"Huh? What are you talking about?" Hardy didn't understand what Saphira was getting at…

But Saphira was starting to get more and more impatient. "Terra, the field. Now."

"A111111N'T u tellin' me wHAT TO DO QQURL. not 0utta tha bedr00m" Terra said in a playful voice. "rawr ;)"

"I'm tired of wasting time." Saphira's voice was annoyed but confident in her victory. "It's already obvious that I'm going to win no matter which field you pick, so let's get it over with."

" dayummm gurl you c0ckier than a r00ster in h3at."

"And?" Saphira was getting impatient. "Do you really think it's not justified? If so, then prove it."

"0H0H0H0H0H0H0H0~!" Terra laugh; she'd do her best to make Saphira eat those words in this match. "V3RY WELL, 1F Y0U INS1ST, TH3N 1'LL USE MY SP3C1AL M0VE! KAAAME... HAAAAMEEEE... RAWWWWRRRRRRRRRR!"

And before them appeared a battlefield with light brown rocks scattered about in a rocky field. Hardy was the most surprised at the sight of the terrain. Heck, he just got home turf advantage. "Is that the Rocky Field? Sweet!"

"Perfect." Saphira smiled as she understood exactly how this tournament would go. She would just need to make flashy provocations to succeed.

""Perfect"?" Hardy looked at Saphira, confused. "This is my gym's field, yanno? Why would you be happy about that?"

"Because that told me everything I needed to know," Saphira said with a confident grin. "We understand our situation but don't understand what the enemy gains from it."

"I'nnit just to thin out our numbers so we can't fight 'em?"

"That's illogical," Saphira said. "If they wanted to minimize resistance, she would just freeze us all or trap us here and be done with it. The promise of an exit tells us a lot about their motivation."

"0nly thr33 things m0tivat3 me: ca5hmoney, that gucci p00n, and Ch1cken Invad3rs 4: cluck 0f the dark s1de."

Ignoring Terra's words, Hardy looked at Saphira. "So what does that mean, exactly?"

"I'll get there." Saphira started her explanation how Terra urged both Charlotte and Saphira to fight when both were willing to forfeit. As if it was just an aimless goal of thinning numbers, encouraging them to battle wouldn't be necessary. Especially when both Cal and Nero were eliminated together, Terra seemed rather annoyed. This tournament had a factor, but with the knowledge that the ones who have been "deleted" can be saved… Well, this wasn't a tournament that would crush their spirits. Meaning there was only one purpose for this tournament.

"An' what's that, huh?" Hardy asked, wondering what the purpose for this would be then.

"Well, there's no point in telling someone who's already erased," Saphira claimed, as if her victory was already set in stone. "I was only curious how much she would argue with me. But it seems she has no intention to do so. So, all that's left is to remove you.

"That's clever and all, but aren't you bein' a little too hasty?" Hardy asked, annoyed by Saphira's confidence. "I may be ranked below you, but I'm only one rank below you, and this field gives me a pretty huge edge."

Saphira could only smile. Her arrogance was founded in her strength. "Oh, you weren't listening? I already said… I can win in any field."

As Saphira and Hardy's fight began, it was now Percival vs Florinia. And Terra began the introductions. "MEANWH1LE, IN 0UR SECOND RACKET, who again? F1GHTS, THE PLOT ARMORED KNIGHT!"

Florinia looked across the arena and met Percival's eyes. "This speaker laments the circumstances necessitating the upcoming trial. Nevertheless, they have been deemed necessary by the operational subject group. Accordingly, let us begin."

"0HHHH MY GAWWWWWWWDDDD STAHHHHHP" Terra's annoyance with Florinia roared through the PA. "I HAV3 BE3N UP HERE, TRYNA HYPE UP THIS TOURN4MENT ALL DAY AND YOU JUST COME UP HERE LIKE

o. y.

I FELL 4SLEEP 14 TIMES JUST IN TH0SE THREE LINES AL0NE. RAWWWWWWRRRRRRR! ok. new planz guise. pre-field dialogue is cancelled. you get a GL1TCH field becase you're a G0TDAYUMMM ROBUTT."

"..." Florinia was silent, presumably hurt by Terra's words. However, Florinia did her best not to show it.

"0KAY NOW GIT 2 IT. BUT N0 BORING SH1T. I'M W4TCHIN' YA."

"...Very well." Florinia nodded as she grabbed a Pokeball.

"Another battle, then. It's only been a few months since we fought in Onyx Ward Trainer School. But it feels like years." Percival nodded his head as he recalled his gym battle against Florinia. "I guess it's time to fight.

The two of them sent out their first pokémon. Percival started off with a pokemon that rules the Glitch field, Phoebe, a Milotic. At the same time, Florinia sent out a giant hippo with dark skin and holes that spread sand everywhere.

The first one to make a move was Pheobe, who sent a scalding stream of water into the Hippowdon. The scalding waters took it out before it could even think to attack.

The glitch field was quite advantageous for Percival and Phoebe. Even Florinia's Ferrothorn, attempting to take Phoebe out with an explosion, failed to bring her down, allowing Phoebe to immediately use Recover to heal her injuries. Florinia's Sandslash was a risky opponent, but Phoebe managed to defeat it with scalding waters that burned the hedgehog. Florinia's Torterra fell to a simple Blizzard. Not even Florinia's Tangrowth or Cradily could withstand Phoebe on the glitch field.

The battle ended up being Percival's in a one-sided manner. Regardless of whether Florinia had defeated Phoebe, the Glitch field notably favored special attackers, particularly those with psychic abilities.

"Hypothesis: Subject's ability remains plentiful enough for conclusive success. Expected outcome: Percival's victory." Florinia lowered her head as her Craydill fell. She returned her Craydily, acknowledging her defeat. "Challenger remains to proceed."

"AAAAND THAT'S A RAP!" Terra cheered as Flornia was defeated by Percival. "winkwinkwinkwinkwinkwink."

"Nevertheless, a substantial option may still exist. An application has been interfaced with, effectively creating a pseudo-backup repository for —" Florina said, before being interrupted by Terra. Although the true meaning was hidden by the complicated words that bored Terra and obscured her meaning, Percival understood. At least several people had considered ways to counter Terra's Deletion; whether Florina had implemented this counter was yet to be known... but Terra interrupted all the same.

"l4dy. l4dy stop. wh4t'd i tell ya," Terra's voice was annoyed. "ab0ut that th1ng you're doin' again where y0u say a wh0le lot of syll4bles but not very many words."

"All phonemes uttered by this individual veritably combine to form coherent English words. " Florinia retorted… but simultaneously they were complicated all the same.

"YEA BUT THEY ST1LL D0N'T SAY SHIT TH0. don't talk back to me b1111tch, i r4ised u better than that. na0 go take a time 0ut." Terra commanded as she pixilated Flornia into her "Deletion". Before the path opened up for Percival. "And Y0U. :)"

"Is something wrong you crazy clown?" Percival cocked his head, hiding any indication he knew there was something about the deletion.

"Y0U 4re my f4vor1te pers0n right n0w. :) because y0u won 4nd let me shut h3r up :)" Terra's voice sounded like a cheer for Percioval's victory. "AS A PR1ZE FOR Y0UR GREAT S3RVICE IN THE NAME OF THE T3RR4N4T0R, YOU M4Y PROCEED."
