April 30th, Harry's Bastion

The last few months had been particularly quiet for Harry and his team. SHADE was functioning like a well oiled machine. Super criminals were learning that the world wasn't as unprotected as they thought. Steve had refused to leave Africa even after missing Rumlow several times. The Twins had basically taken on the city and were doing well. Harry was thankful, as it meant he had more time to spend with Natasha, Ororo, and Teddy.

Natasha's new humane widow program was doing well. Her first graduating class was now working hard for Fury and he even smiled when Harry asked about it. Ororo was still teaching at the Mansion, but spent more and more of her nights at Harry's place. This actually forced Harry to tune the wards and enchantments around his house to better accommodate their schedule. Now the sky above his home reflected the sky above the tower, making their sleep schedule line up much better with New York.

Today was Teddy's 6th birthday and Harry was standing next to an outdoor grill watching Teddy fly around on a training broom. Pietro was chasing and poking him as he attempted to fly around, not making much progress as his broom was limited to barely a few feet off the ground.

"He seems to be having a good time." Harry chuckled softly as Pietro was now running from Teddy with Wanda in tow waving her wand.

"I'm glad he is. The twins took to him so well." Harry said as he leaned against the warm body of his newest girlfriend Ororo.

"It doesn't surprise me. They are such good children despite their loss. Now they are growing into adults we can be proud of." Ororo said as she squeezed Harry before letting him go as he flipped a burger on the grill.

"Yeah if you could not mention that they're growing up I would appreciate it." Harry said with a pout as Ororo laughed before Teddy swooped through the air behind her, laughing and screaming in turn. Harry watched as Ororo suddenly rushed off in a gust of wind making the broom carrying Teddy slow until she plucked him off of it.

The rest of the afternoon rushed by as friends and their little family of a team all stopped by to wish the little boy a happy birthday.

Hours later and Harry was cleaning up in the kitchen, a half eaten cake was sitting in stasis on the counter. A half dozen empty pizza boxes, bags that held hamburger buns, and remnants of toppings scattered across the table. Most of the team came as well as the Barton family. Pepper was now showing in her pregnancy and was mothering Teddy much more than she used to.

"About done in here?" Tony asked as he walked in. His hair was a technicolor rainbow and his suit was turned into a clown-like facsimile, colored in the most horrible colors. Everyone at the party was sporting colorful outfits and hair for Teddy.

"Yeah. I was just doing the dishes." Harry said as he dried his hands. His signature black hair had neon blue streaks through it and his shirt was enchanted with moving wolves in a rainbow of colors running around his midsection.

"You can just magic them clean can't you?" Tony asked with a raised brow.

"Sometimes the act is more soothing than the magic." Harry said with a shrug of his shoulders. "How are the kids?"

"Fine. Being regaled with tales of other worlds and adventures by Point Break." Tony said as he grabbed a fresh cup of coffee.

"He's keeping it PG yeah?" Harry asked as he floated the cake into a stasis box.

"He should be with the looks the females in the room were throwing at him." Tony said with a grin. Harry chuckled as he waved his hand and vanished all the trash off the counter and tables. "So I think I found a new recruit." Tony said out of nowhere.

"A new recruit?" Harry said as he leaned back and summoned a soda from the fridge. Tony seemed to weigh his words before continuing.

"Yeah." Tony took out his phone and a small display appeared above it showing someone in a blue and red suit stopping a speeding vehicle from T-boning a bus. "He's pretty good actually. I've been watching his progress, nothing too big, but he has potential."

"What's his name?" Harry asked as he flicked to another view of the man using something a lot like webs to tie up a mugger.

"Spider-Man"

May 2nd, Queens, New York

Peter Parker had just stopped an attempted car theft and was sitting on a roof eating his sandwich from Delmar's when he felt like he was being watched. Dropping the sandwich he pulled down his mask and flipped to the side, twisting his body to face whoever appeared behind him in one fluid movement.

"Summoner!" He was baffled to see the Avenger standing right behind him. His midnight black cowl pulled above his nose, white robes clung to his body and flared at his waist showing black pants and bronze plates protecting his shins, forearms, and chest. "How c-can I help you s-sir?"

"You sound a lot younger than I thought you would." Harry said as he landed on the rooftop. Looking over the boy, for that's what he was, he was astonished by how young he seemed. Now Harry understood Tony's initial reluctance to talk about him. Harry had no doubts that Tony knew exactly who was under the mask.

"I'm old enough!" Peter said, his voice cracking at the worst time. He was panicking inwardly as the Avenger inspected him. Summoner was the most mysterious of the Avengers, all the others were identified, but Summoner's identity was still unknown.

"I'm sure you are." Harry said with a chuckle. "Tony showed me some of the videos of you online. Nice work." Harry said as he fell back, a chair popping out of nowhere to catch him. Peter was baffled by the action.

"How did you do that? Is that a real chair? Did you make it or summon it? How long does it last? Is it stronger than a normal chair?" Peter spewed a torrent of questions before clamping a hand over his mouth as Harry started to laugh.

"You remind me so much of an old friend of mine." Harry said his eyes grew slightly distant but snapped back into focus almost immediately. Waving his hand he made another chair. "Sit. I just want to chat with you." Peter gaped at the new chair and moved over to poke and prod it until a cleared throat gained his attention once more.

"Sorry." Peter said sheepishly as he sat gingerly in the chair. His focus seemed to come back to the situation at hand though as he looked at Summoner. "Is there a reason you're looking for me sir?"

"Relax kid. I was just curious about you. You grabbed Tony's attention and that's not easy. I was in the area and figured I'd check you out." Harry said easily.

"Iron Man noticed me?" Peter seemed to float away from the present causing Harry to laugh louder than before. This kid reminded him so much of Hermione and her inability to stay grounded in the present for even a moment. In fact Tony had the same problems.

"Maybe it's a genius thing." Harry said quietly under his breath. Peter's ears picked it up though as his attention once again focused on Summoner.

"Wha-" Peter stopped abruptly as he heard screams coming from a few blocks over. "I gotta go." Peter was jumping off the roof and swinging away within moments leaving Harry by himself. Harry watched the kid jump away and smiled. He would be a good recruit.

"Aunt May I'm home!" Peter said as he walked into his apartment still reeling from meeting an Avenger and finding out that Iron Man was interested in him. He dropped his bag to the side as he moved through the kitchen and grabbed a bottle of water.

"Welcome back Pete. We have company." May said as he walked into the living room only to stop and gape at who was sitting on his couch.

"Mr. Stark?" Peter asked as he gaped at Tony Stark sitting on his couch. First Summoner and now Iron Man.

"Hello. I was just filling in your Aunt on the e-mails we've been exchanging about the September Foundation." Tony said as he gave Peter a look.

"September Foundation." Peter repeated.

"Why didn't you tell me about the grant? I thought we told each other stuff." May asked from beside Tony.

"Grant? Oh well I uhh didn't know if I was going to get it and didn't want to get your hopes up." Peter said as he looked at Tony. "What is the grant for?"

"Well that's what I came here for, to hash it out." Tony said as Peter once again repeated the words subconsciously. "Can I get five minutes with him?" Tony asked looking at May who just nodded.

Tony led the unresponsive teen back to his room and walked in before turning to look at him.

"Look Mr. Stark, I never applied for a grant." Peter said as he looked at Tony who now had a phone in his hand.

"Of course you didn't. I came here because this is you right?" Tony asked as a video of Peter catching a speeding car played in a hologram. "3000 pounds, 40 miles per hour. Impressive."

"You know all those videos on youtube are fake right?" Peter said as he inspected something on his desk trying not to look tony in the eyes.

"Stop messing with the kid Tony." Peter whirled around and came face to face with Summoner once again. Peter yelped as he was steadied by Tony's hand on his shoulder.

"Merlin. Not surprised to find you here." Tony said with a scoff.

"What else did you expect? It's not often someone grabs your attention." Harry said in reply. Peter couldn't see his facial expression but the squinting of his eyes and raised cheeks made him assume he was smiling.

"Look, we know you're spiderling? The crime fighting spider? Spider boy?" Tony asked looking back at Peter.

"Spider-man." Peter said, clearing his throat slightly.

"Not in that onesie you're not." Tony said as he inspected the smorgasbord of parts scattered around. "I want to give you an upgrade, top to bottom." Tony said as he pushed around the parts raising his eyebrows a bit.

"An upgrade?" Peter said quietly as his movements to hide the stuff on his desk stopped.

"Sure kid. I like what you're doing and want to help you out." Tony said as he slapped his back. Peter was frozen as his thoughts flew back and forth. It wasn't until he heard a throat clear that he realized Summoner and Mr. Stark were waiting for him to say something.

"I- uhhh I would like that Mr. Stark sir." Peter said, tripping over his words slightly. A quiet chuckle made him blush as he saw the mysterious summoner wink at him before leaning over to say something to Tony and silently fading away. "Where'd he go?!"

"Don't worry about it. He does that all the time." Tony said with a wave of his hand and a roll of his eyes. "So are we all good here? Excellent." Tony pulled something out of his pocket not waiting for Peter to say anything. "This here is a badge for Stark Industries. I expect you in my lab Friday Afternoon."

Tony walked out the door leaving Peter standing there holding an access card when May came into the room 5 minutes later.

"So what happened?" May asked as she walked in. "Pete?" This woke him up from his frozen state.

"I'm sorry?" Peter looked at May.

"I asked what happened." May said, giving him a worried look.

"Oh I uhh I think I have an internship at Stark Industries." Peter said bashfully as he held up the access card.

AN: Sorry about how long this chapter took. I'm just not having an easy time putting words on paper at the moment. Not sure why but I have had a bit of writer's block. I'm sure it'll go away shortly. Probably when some of my more interesting gifts for Christmas lose their appeal.

Either way I hope to be back on a regular schedule soon.

As always, Thanks for Reading.

Reviews: Monkey D. Conan - Funny thing that. I've had this idea running through my head. Part of me wants to save it and make it a whole other story. Another part is telling me to tack it on this one. I'm not sure which way it'll go, but I'm excited.

BioHazard82 Duantes - Thanks for reading!

Fredward1 - Chapter 12- If I'm not wrong, and this is just me tying to remember, the sword isn't physically long enough to go all the way through. CH. 29 Harry can float a few feet above the ground not actually fly without assistance at this point in the story. CH. 52 I wasn't incredibly proud of that chapter. There are several things that I can see looking back, that you'll notice I talk about in my author's notes, that just didn't fit well or I'm not writing about to the level I want. Part of it is just that it's incredibly hard to try and balance magic like this with the MCU level of abilities. Another part is my skills are still new and I'm trying to improve. I hope you at least enjoy my story and I hope you continue to do so.

remnantofthepast - I believe I've mentioned it in a few replies and Author's notes, but if I haven't, this story was indeed crafted after me reading Post Apocalyptic Potter and wanting to try my own version of events. The beginning is very similar, but I'd like to say that it has changed enough to feel different.
