Ciaphas Cain The Ever Chosen

"Emperor Protects!" I roared charging at the group of Genestealers with my trusty chainsword while hoping that Jurgen and Inquisitor Vail won't abandon me(1). When I reached first one I bisected him with my blade, immediately I had to block a handblade(2) of another fortunately when I fighting her, Jurgen, together with Miss Vail, was shooting other genestealers with theirs guns.

(1) When I considered abandoning Ciaphas during that moment I don't think Jurgen would ever do that.

(2)She means literal Hand Blade as genestealer in question put a blade in the place of the hand

After few moments all bastards were killed and the three of us(3) could move on deeper in to the underhive.

"I must say" Inquisitor Ameberley started, "I fought with lot Sororitas during my time as Inquisitor and I heard of your reputation as Adopted Child of The Emperor and I must say it's not exaggerated in the slightest"

"Thank you for your kind words Miss Vail" I answered hoping she would not see thought my strained smile(4) "But I'm merely servant of Him and I'm sure many of my Sisters would be just good as I" I turned my head to look ahead ,my long braid swishing behind me, when I started to reminisce about past.

(3)We entered with ten people but three of them got lost three died during earlier fight with genestealers and last one fallen into a trap. Intrestingly the Last one survived and he told everyone about how Ciaphas heroically charged genestealers with a cry "Emperor protects the Innocent!" taking their attention of him and onto her, which increased Ciaphas legend in the imperium.

Frek my life, I thought to myself, all I ever wanted was to be safe. Now I have to charge head first into dangerous missions otherwise people will realize that my reputation is overblown and fake. It all started with that freking mistake in paperwork(5) which caused me to go from Commissar Ciaphas Cain to Adepta Sororitas Ciaphas Cain.

(5)I did try to see how that was possible but after figuring that person who was supposed to be responsible for that mistake did not exist, I was very spoked. At least till I gotten a list covered in weird sparkly powder which claimed that Harlequins were responsible for that change.

At first, I considered it terrible, especially becoming woman part, but then I realized that even if I'm now member of sisters of battle does not mean I have to become warrior therefor I decided to become medic rather than warrior. Unfortunately, after finishing my training to become sister hospitaler I was send to help on the front due to my past as Commissar and my passing medical knowledge. (6) The army was fighting Ork infestation on the planet which took long time to take care.

(7)Apparently Ciaphas was send to front lines because she was the best medic and fighter in the entire Order. Additionally, she saved my life by being medic more times I can remember so she seems to be once again underselling her skills.

When person in charge wanted to send group of volunteers into the forest to scout, I decided to volunteer. After all, as Sororitas it would be weird if I wasn't excited to help. During the mission we ran into lot of Orks who wanted to circle around main army and hit us from behind. During following battle, I got lost and became alone(7). Apparently, the group we found had their warboss together with them and he wanted 1v1 fight with me. Battle against warboss Blearght Da Red Thinka, was hard but he stumbled on the flora and I managed to cut his head off.

(7)That was start of her reputation as other soldiers when they returned to base said she heroically pulled Orks in opposite direction from camp, which allowed them to return and warn main army.

When Orks started to fight between each other to see who will be next Warboss we were attacked by local Fauna. As Orks were still fighting between each other rather than Fauna like me, in my fearful state I may have fallen into my training as Commissar and yelled at Orks to stop fighting each other and Fight the Fauna. Apparently, that made me in their eyes their new Warboss so they started to call me Kenny Head-Teaka. When I managed to make them attack Eldars, who were also on the planet, I ran away, while pocketing some valuable looking Black stone, during the fight and went back to Human Army were I managed to Interrupt some kind of funeral.(8)

(8)Nobody told Cain but she interrupted her own funeral.

After the Orks apparently left the planet(9) we managed to quickly mope up the remains of the Ork Army so we were on the ship back to some other planet. When I was parting with the regiment on the ship my luck decided to strike again and we were raided by Dark Eldar. As everyone was basically too drunk to fight, we were taken to Sheev's, their leader, ship without any casualties on both sides. As the Dark Eldar didn't think I would be able to do anything I was bound half heartly so I managed to escape my prison easily.

(9)The Girly Head' Takka's, as the warband Cain taken over called themselves since, decided that fighting Eldar is better that fighting Humans so their Not-Warboss, as apparently to this day they consider Ciaphas their Warboss, taken the Orks and went fight more Eldar.

Then I ran into Sheev himself whom I killed pushed by fear. When other Dark Eldar ran to see what happened they seen their dead boss and me holding a dagger in one hand and Black stone in other they decided I must be Normal Eldar who decided to become Dark Eldar. When I did not know how they got to that explanation(10) it did save my skin so I ran with it.

(10) The black stone was Soul Stone.

Sheev was apparently hated by all the crew of the ship so by killing him, and due to having Black Stone apparently, I was declared new Capitan. Dark Eldar after being told my name called me Chosen of Khaine(11), whatever that means, and as they thought I was Normal Eldar who decided to become Dark Eldar they wanted to teach me how to properly torture people. To do that I had to sacrifice one of the people who were taken with me and as I did not want to be killed by bunch of angry soldiers, I told the Dark Eldar to take the Commissar as I was pretty sure he was Khorne worshipper. Then I had to truly put my Tarot face to challenge as I was taught Dark Eldar way of torture(12)

(11) They confused Cain with Khaine who is Eldar god of War. Now that I think about its really easy to mistake Cain for Khaine and vice versa.

(12) This is reason why Ciaphas is not allowed to perform interrogations as it was deemed that his methods are too inhumane even for the most sadistic Inquisitors.

Fortunately for everyone who was not Dark Eldar we were saved when Inquisition decided to hit the ship. Inquisitor Vail, very beautiful woman, taken us to local Imperium controlled planet and fortunately I was not killed for throwing Commissar to the Dark Eldar.(13) Also this was where I met Jurgen for the first time and he decided that since I saved his life, he need to repay me for that.

(13) Actually what happened was that people I saved from cells told me how it was only thanks to Ciaphas that they lived for so long and how she was selfless hero in their eyes.

Since then, my life become cluster fuck, I was kidnapped by Tzeentch cults few times(14) to be sacrificed during Ascension Rituals. Found and destroyed Nurgle cults by accident(15) becoming Chosen of Nurgle somehow. Once during one of my free days on some planet I stumbled into bunch of Khorne cultist who decided to have free for all fight. When I was found thanks to my luck finally working to help me alive(16) I had killed few dozen of Khorne cultists.(17) At least I was able to find a truly beautiful woman with whom I slept few times, then some Slaneeshy cult called me Lover of Dark Prince, for some reason(18), and tried to Ascend me into becoming Daemon Prince of She Who Thirst(19).

(14) Nine times actually... And I swear I just heard bird like laughter coming from somewhere.

(15) Seven times had Ciaphas gotten ill on one planet and then Nurgle cultist mistaken her for one of them on another planet. Which caused Cain to infect them with deadly illness they couldn't survive.

(16) It was not luck rather after I heard that Ciaphas is going to city to party I bugged her so we could follow her to whatever thing she stumbles into.

(17) After counting bodies of people that Cain killed it was Eighty-Eight dead cultists...

(18) Woman Cain mentions before was actually avatar of Slaanesh she possessed to sleep with Ciaphas. And yes, Slaanesh slept with Cain six times because of course.

(19) While Ciaphas had lived with Dark Eldar for very short time she had taken to Eldar name for Slaanesh.

And all that is not counting freking Time Travel!(20) While meeting Primarchs and Emperor Himself(21) was very nerve-wracking time, they accepted Time Travel without a batt of the eye as it was apparently not the first time that happened. Emperor was very understanding about our situation and was even happy when we asked if we can help in fight they were going to. He put me as the leader of the strike group and we had to go and attack main Fortress of Orks.(22) After two or so months in 31st millennium during one of Warp Travels we ended in Slawenburg 41st millennium 10 minutes after we stared traveling there.

(20) Due to how warp works one-time Ciaphas when traveling from Perlia to Slawenburg ended near Holy Terra Ten Thousand years ago...

(22) That's also start of Cain's reputation as Adopted Child of Emperor as soldiers whom traveled with Ciaphas during that time spread the word how Emperor treated Cain as his own daughter.

Then three months later I once again ended fighting Ork Warboss one-on-one as apparently some of other Orks heard me called Heart Crusher in the camp so he just had to fight me. While I don't know why soldiers in the camp called me Heart Crusher(23), following fight ended when I, somehow, stabbed Warboss chest and therefore heart with my chainsword. Then the Orks once again declared me their warboss, Khappa Hearta-Crusha. They decided to wear clothes looking kinda like Imperium Military garb only painted for some reason Neon Violet.(24) What was even weirder was when we managed to sneak into governor house without being seen only to then learn that he was in bed with Genestealer cult. I managed to have the Orks go find and destroy Genestealers hives(25) in the city while I went to Ambreley to call it in.

(23) Any person who seen Ciaphas in person can guess why, only Cain herself never figured that out due to her Impostor Syndrome...

(24) Orks believe that purple makes things sneaky as, as they say, "Have you ever seen Purple Ork?"

(25) The clan who called it's self Sneaky Rat-Bastards went and become the greatest Ork Assassins in the Galaxy, who thankfully decided to wage war against Genestealers only.

That caused our current Situation Me, Inquisitor, and Jurgen going by themselves to root out Genestealers in the Under Hive. I hope Miss Vail did not seen though my undeserved reputation and it was something else she noticed during our first thing with Genestealers.(26)

(26) The reason I looked at Cain weird was because I just seen Her shoot about 50 shots out of 16 shoot Pistol without reloading once.

AN: Yes the name Ever Chosen in this Omake means that this is Mishmash of All other alternative Cains Omakes.

Addictionaly I was supposed to add a Crime Lord Cain and It was supposed to end with the mention that it was actually Star Wars Crossover the entire time (something along the lines that Ciaphas and Amberley were send to newly found Galactic Republic) But I just didn't had enought energy to write that soo it end like it ends.
