LEVIS "LEV" BAERON was a Human male Jedi Knight during the final decades of the Galactic Republic.

He was raised within the Jedi Order after having been rescued as an infant by a young Mirialan Padawan Qon'zah (who had in turn been found on an abandoned deep-space station crying beside a weakened man, his uncle) and later became apprenticed to him. Like most Jedi, Lev didn't know his parents, hadn't even learned their names, his family being the Order itself; presumably, his mother had been Force-sensitive and could exercise control over small animals. The only things he did recall from his infancy were the flames, panicked voices and the feeling of an invisible force guarding him when all around him was fire (because his father's abode was set ablaze after the man had failed to pay a regular "protection fee" to the Pyke Syndicate).

Just before the end of the Clone Wars, Lev and his own Padawan Maharito were on mission to rescue a large group of captive civilians from a cruel Separatist band called "The Shilan Four", but after experiencing horrors on a scale that the Jedi had never trained her for, Baeron's apprentice grew disappointed in their ways and soon left him to try and lead her own life.

Order 66 meant the sudden, tragic end of a luminous and strictly-ordered Jedi culture based on ritual and tradition for generations. After the Jedi were made obsolete by the so-called Galactic Emperor's decree, it was as if their millenia-long history of service, full of incredible achievements and prowess, were legends at best or had never existed at all. The few surviving Knights of light found themselves on their own, forced to learn to survive alone, adapting to the starkly changed conditions in a new, dark empire full of many dangers and threats.

In the years that followed, Lev Baeron mostly worked as a simple handyman on various remote worlds, eventually having been tracked and bested in a lightsaber duel by an agent of His Imperial Majesty's Inquisitorius – but not before staunchly proclaiming his hope for a better, brighter future.
